First of all, Pureology can do no wrong in my eyes. Every single product they make is absolute gold. I loved having the opportunity to try this heat protectant smoothing lotion in exchange for my honest review. The 6.6 oz retails for $29 on the pureology website. That price seems pretty fair. I have long hair and I usually use about 2 or three pumps. It smells great and smooths any frizz. Also, a lot of people skip the heat protectant step before they blow dry, flat iron or curl, and the professionals will tell you that’s a big mistake. Especially for color treated hair. This lotion is great. It feels very lightweight, I have oily scalp and hair that is tend to be greasy fast and yet very frizzy due to highlights and straightening. I was glad to find out that this lotion is not greasy or sticky and doesn’t weigh my hair down and It does help protect my hair from heat treatment and it’s noticeable. After two week of use I noticed that it helped my hair look smoother and less frizzy. I actually liked the result so much that I even take the time to use my hair straightener more frequently. The only single drawback is the scent, I wish it was less peachy and last shorter. Not to my liking anyway. I really enjoyed the shampoo from this line, but I feel the conditioner & smoothing cream are too heavy for my hair type. I shampoo and style my hair once a week and with the use of this product I had to shampoo after 2 days due to itchy scalp and just overall weighing my hair down. I use another high end line smoothing creams and I can go 6-7 days without shampooing. I’m all about that dry shampoo life. This product smells great and my hair looked amazing right after I blowed it out and it definitely did smooth my hair out, I just didn’t like the weighing of my hair down after 2 days. To my surprise, it works even better than the original formula! Having used the older formula, Nutritive Oleo Relax product, for over a decade, I was very skeptical to try this product. The scent is the same, which I love, as its a light rose water like scent. I have naturally curly hair, more frizzy than curly, and like to wear my hair straight. Here’s my routine: I use a nickel size of the Keratine Thermique smoothing taming milk, in my towel dryed hair, blow it out straight and use the Oleo Relax Oil in my hair right before I run a flat iron through it. I’ve found that with the new formula, I only have to use a small amount and it leaves my hair much more tamed and moisturized. I have less fly aways and my hair looks shinier than it did with the older formula. I’ve also found that I don’t need to constantly reapply the oil, as the first time around does the trick. Another bonus is the newer formula is heat-protectant, which makes it perfect for my routine or anyone that uses flat irons on a regular basis. Not only has Keratase updated the product, they have also updated the older plastic bottle to a glass bottle, which prolongs the life of the oil and allows for it to stay fresher. This product makes you look like you have naturally beautiful hair. Overall, I give the new Oleo Relax Oil, 5 Stars, as I was very impressed with the improved formula and packaging. The Kerastase site indicates that this is replacement for the DISCONTINUED OLEO RELAX SERUM. DEFINITELY NOT TRUE! This product is so OILY. Literally "sits" on surface of my hair, making it necessary to keep rubbing it into strands. Does NOT make hair smooth, as the serum used to do for my hair. This product actually makes my long curly hair feel a bit "rough" as opposed to how the serum made my hair feel soft and smooth with resulting straightening effect, making it easier to manage, comb, style. This oil also has an unappealing odor (notice I did not say "scent" b/c it is a bit off-putting). Also stays on hands, having to use (liquid) soap and very warm/hot water to remove, with two applications of soap. Definitely will NOT purchase this again. I have half bottle of the original, using it judiciously. I have tried in vain to locate the original serum but like other reviewers have written, the product is being sold by scalpers at outlandish prices from $85 to $150 PER bottle. Way out of my budget. I've written to Kepastase and have answered their survey questions, indicating that I'd appreciate knowing which product would BEST approximate the discontinued serum, and not one response. Oh wow. I see now why this is always sold out on Ipsy points lol! I’ve had this for a while but used it once and forgot about it. I’ve been on a strict finishing my products and it’s now this guys turn… I shampoo, condition my hair, apply this on my damp hair and put a hair towel on to let the product sink in. After a few minutes I use a hair dryer and then I use a Soleil round blow drying brush. I SWEAR I feel like I went to the salon and it’s all because of this product!!!!!!! I literally just finished blowdrying my hair w/ Straight Guard for the first time and was already composing my review halfway through. I don't think I've ever raved about a product before, but this is AMAZING. My hair is softer, smoother, and shinier than it's been in more than a year (after some coloring mishaps). I usually use a mishmash of styling products before blowdrying–FrizzEase serum, a leave-in conditioner/moisturizer spray, a split-end healer, a straightening cream/heat protector. But this time I decided to just use the Straight Guard to see if it worked standalone, and my god, it was fantastic. I'll start at the beginning: the bottle uses a pump, which I always prefer because you can dispense a more precise amount of product. Just a little bit goes a long way; my hair is shoulder length right now, but thick, and the product itself is incredibly lightweight (something between a cream and a lotion) so it spreads easily. You can actually see a pearlescent quality in the cream, which translates to shine on my hair like I've never seen. I'm not sure if it cut drying time at all, but I actually noticed an improved straightness to my hair. SO MANY "straightening" creams/serums promise that result, but I always have to go over my hair with a flat iron after I'm done blow drying. Supposedly that's good for locking the cuticle, but putting that much more heat on your hair just never seems like a healthy move. Straight Guard eliminated that step. And did I mention my hair is shiny, soft, and smooth as all get out? So for the time saving, the fact that it takes the place of all those other products, and the sheer quality, this one is more than worth the price. I’m a huge fan of pretty much every Chi product. I’ve been using Chi straighteners since I first started straightening my hair 17 years ago, even trying many other brands and quickly going right back to Chi. I have probably 15 different Chi hair products at any given time. They’re all THAT good! Chi has just mastered hair care and styling, in my opinion. This product is no different. As I mentioned, I’ve been straightening my hair for a long time, so I’ve learned that you need good products to protect your hair from all that heat and potential damage it causes. I tried this product because I’ve tried so many others by Chi and loved them. It is a good product to help protect from the heat and damage your straightener would cause, it makes your hair super soft, and it does seem to help extend your straightened style. I, personally, have naturally straight hair, so I don’t need a whole lot of help keeping it straight. I mainly do it to iron out a few spots that get wavy (in the back underneath, on the front sides near my ears). I can’t say how it will do with someone who has naturally curly hair, but my crazy spots didn’t wave again while using this product, and these areas normally would wave up a bit, especially if it’s really humid outside. It did make my hair a little greasy the following day, more than with the straight guard spray that Chi has, but I do have oily hair. This may not be an issue if you have dryer hair. Best hair spray ever! I've been looking for a anti frizz hair spray that doesn't leave your hair stiff and crunchy. And this is it! I moved to Corpus Christi, Texas a few months ago from PA and the humidity is crazy down here. I have bleached blonde hair so it didn't take to well to the high humidity. Finally decided to give this a try and so glad I did! I've tried so many hair sprays over the years but this one got them beat(although b&b is a great hair spray too). So.. If you can make it work.. it’s good. ( the product is sticky and clogged the nozzle after 5 uses ) get ready to possibly return when that happens. It does leave some crusty areas if you don’t keep the application just so. I can’t feel the product in my hair, until i go to run my fingers through it -then, there it is … crusty strands. Sure you can brush through it , but ? Then the affect of keeping frizz, and humidity at bay seems lessened. Try it.. but keep your receipt. This curl cream would be great for you if you’re not looking to have too much hold in your hair. It’s thick, but it doesn’t create a very strong cast for me. As you can see, my hair is already frizzing at the roots and it’s not completely dry yet. There’s no cast to scrunch out. The pump is also really hard to use and only dispenses like a dime size of product with each pump, which means I need to pump twice just to get enough for one section of hair. It is very hydrating, so I can’t knock it down too much, but it is probably my least favorite ouidad product, which is saying a lot because I LOVE ouidad. I’m giving curl quencher gel four stars because it’s definitely an improvement over the heat and humidity climate control gel which used to be my all time favorite go-to product until the formula was changed and it became a huge disappointment. Since I’m wearing my hair longer than ever before my curls need a strong gel that will keep them from getting frizzy. Curl quencher gel works pretty well, but it doesn’t give me that wet look or crunch that some gels create when they dry. (I actually liked that crunch because it held my curls in complete control.) My curls stay defined throughout the day and even the next day with the use of a satin sleep cap. I’m grateful for this product since my 17 year love affair with heat and humidity gel had to end when the formula changed.Pamela D.
I dont know how Ouidad gets away with selling their products for so much. I get better results with Aussie Moist 3 minute miracle. Yes, a drug store brand. Why would I buy this over priced, salon product, when the ingredients aren't any better or more natural? This creme is INCREDIBLE. If you have 2c-3a HIGH POROSITY & PROTEIN THIRSTY hair, this will be amazing for you. I have 2c-3a very low porosity, protein sensitive thick hair. Unfortunately this over-proteinized my hair type after just one use. By the second, my hair was strawlike in texture- though my curls were still beautifully enhanced with a lot less frizz & super bouncy. Both of which are hard to achieve as I'm just starting my curly hair care journey. I'm only taking a star off because it feels exactly how it describes- a lotion for your hair. You know how when you put hand lotion on? And you wash your hands later and the lotion reactivates? That's sort of what this feels like on the hair, except it never really dries down. It also felt like it created buildup because of that. By the second time of use, I felt like I had to wash it out with clarifying shampoo. I used a big amount the first time, and small the second- not really any difference in feel, just less curl definition. But that is virtually the only downside this product had. Just make sure your hair actually NEEDS the protein this packs, if it doesn't then this will kill your hair.k
I use this on damp hair and let it air dry. Before this product I had flyaways and frizz. However after using this product I can definitely say that my hair looks amazing! I can't imagine how much better it will look if you use heat styling tools! I would recommend for anyone to try but note: you really don't need a lot. I have hair to just past my shoulder blades and I only use a dime size as recommended. I accidentally used more the first few times and it didn't work as well, but now that I figured out how much I need it definitely makes my hair look and feel amazing! I have very fine, high porosity (very absorbent), blonde curly hair. I don't have the best of luck with styling creams, some work and some weigh my hair down, some feel very crispy, some make my hair look instantly greasy. This stuff works! I wash and condition (sun bum regular or Pacifica pineapple curls) and then put a little of this styling cream into my wet but not sopping wet hair. Then I sleep on it and in the morning my hair is good to go. Nice natural looking and feeling curls that stay in. As someone who has stick straight hair, I love this product. A disclaimer, my hair is not capable of getting that cute scrunched look. If I want curls, heat is my only option. I shower, add the styling cream (smells amazing), air dry overnight, and then curl in the morning. This is the only product that I have used that will help my hair hold the curls in all weather and all day. I also use very minimal hairspray after curling. I have 3 different textures of hair: the front/sides are soft, tight spirals, the back is frizzy, tight spirals, and the underneath is soft and wavy at most. This curl cream brings out the best in all 3 textures and makes all of my hair wildly soft!! However, for the price, I've found others on the market that do more (for instance, have a gel hold with it) at a cheaper price point. This is great along with a gel (I use DevaCurl gel) but don't think it would be enough for my hair on its own. The redken products are superior for curls in my opinion but I love Oribe for straightening.

I recently started to blow out my hair on my own and had been shopping for products for a while and nothing seemed to work for me. I specifically wanted a good heat protectant for my hair. This balm is one of the best smoothing balm that I have ever used. I have tried everything from the most expensive hair salon brands to drug store brand. One squirt of it while the hair is *wet,* not towel-dried. Comb through and then either blow out as you like or let air dry/diffuse. I've used Kevin Murphy products for a few years and can't live without them! I used to buy a product similar to Hair Resort from my salon that brought out more of the wave in my straight hair, but that product has been retired unfortunately. Hair Resort is the next best thing (thus 4 Stars rather than 5). I loosely "scrunch" my layered wet hair with my palms containing about a quarter-size dollop of Hair Resort for each side (my hair is long and thick). It dries naturally with a tossled beach hair appearance and stays that way all day! To maintain the textured look I sometimes add a bit of Hair Resort after my hair is dry. I'm never going back after getting started on Kevin Murphy's curl line. I have 2C-3A textured curls, with pretty low porosity. Motion lotion doesn't weight down my curls, and helps with definition, hold, and frizz control. Plus it smells SO good. I love that the whole curl line smells so intoxicating, it's a welcome change from most curly hair products. Anti-gravity, when applied at my roots before diffusing, gives me the volume of my dreams!

I was a bit skeptical because i saw a lot of people with much more textured and thick hair saying that it didn’t work well for them for one reason or another. I have 2B hair that has suffered a lot of damage due to using heat & breakage from brushing with the wrong brush. Anyway i love the rosemary and mint oil from this company so i went ahead and got this product. my hair loves it, it leaves my hair looking really shiny and healthy even after straightening. (hair is straightened in photo) my hair looks soooo silky when i dont use heat and let it air dry with this product. My hair doesnt clump up either with this stuff either. In the past ive used other products that clump my hair up and make it all crunchy but not this stuff. The smell is immaculate too!!!! Very badly packaged! Purchased this product with ten other products when everything was $6.99 (I believe it was a Black Friday special). EVERYTHING was damaged!! All ten of the products were thrown in a box with nothing securing them! Well, you can imagine what happened when going through the shipping process. a couple of the products were bursted open which caused all of the products to be greasy and sticky when they arrived to me. Extremely messy! I was highly disappointed but didn’t want to go through the trouble or sending them back. I really love the scent! So sweet with a hint of fruit but not overpowering. I have 3B curly hair and use it for CGM (curly girl method) styling. The product is nice to use on wet hair, makes it softer and easier to manage, it's also good to refresh your curls the next day after washing your hair (I make my hair slightly wet, and use it). I recommend applying some styling gel on top. Never made my hair greasy. As you only need a small amount, this bottle will last for a long time, years, if your hair is short or medium length. By far the best leave in conditioner I’ve tried. It’s thicker like a cream but doesn’t feel heavy or greasy on the hair at all. I have an oily scalp with ends that tend to get dry and tangly. I use a couple spritz of this after washing my hair. It makes the brush glide right through and leaves hair silky smooth. I also use this on my daughters curly hair that tangles very easily. She always dreads having her hair brushed because of the pain the tangles cause but this product makes that issue more manageable. I will also note that this does have a strong fragrance. On me the scent lasts throughout most of the day. Second day hair it has faded. I personally think it smells good and don’t mind it but I know many prefer fragrance free. I don’t like to switch to a different types of hair products but I have been struggling with my frizzy hair for a long time. So when I received these products I was actually very excited to try this new anti-frizz set of shampoo, lamellar water rinse, and priming cream. I absolutely love this NYM shampoo and it has an amazing smell. Even after using it for the first time my hair felt so soft, shiny and smooth. If you have frizzy hair like me, this shampoo will definitely help you with that problem! It has the best ingredients, for example macadamia oil will help your hair regrown and also be smooth, hyaluronic acid help your hair reduce freeze, and add volume which is great. Not Your Mother's Anti-Frizz Shampoo is a wonderful product. It leaves my hair clean and with great smell. I got to use it with the other two products of the same line ( conditioner and lamellar water) and the results I got were great. I have a very long hair and frizz, dryness, split ends are few of the main concerns I have when I think about my hair. This shampoo along with the other products of the same line improved my hair condition. I noticed a significant improvement on the hydration and elasticity of my hair. My hair look stays "behaved" even with the high humidity of the south, where I live. I love how shinning, smooth and straight my hair looks after using Not Your Mother's products. Love the teal packaging since that’s my favorite color! I love that this is sulfate free because shampoos with sulfates strip any natural shine I have from my hair and makes it look like a dull mess. This is a super moisturizing shampoo and was great to have during the summer when my hair was taking a beating from swimming, chlorine, etc. I do have naturally oily hair and what I noticed is that this isn’t a shampoo I can use everyday, because when I did my hair became weighed down due to being overly moisturized (or not cleansing enough?idk) to the point where my hair looked like I hadn’t washed it. Once I figured that out I cut using this down to only days when my hair felt particularly parched which worked out very well. My hair was left super moisturized, especially my ends which can feel like hay due to drying elements such as chlorine. Not to mention this left my hair looking so shiny and smooth, so this delivers on the claims. Definitely a good shampoo to use if you know it’ll be a humid day. My hair loves to frizz and this definitely kept it smoother. It’s fairly cheap and I was able to find it at multiple stores when I went out shopping. If you’re looking for a great sulfate free moisturizing frizz prevention shampoo this should definitely be your pick, but just be mindful if you’re oily like me and use sparingly, but if you naturally have dry hair your hair will Ives this and will drink it right up.

Even though I don't have curly hair, it does have some damage and wave to it. I heard about Noughty products through a friend and I'm so glad she recommended them. This serum adds an incredible shine and smoothness to the hair, perfect for styling or just a daily boost for your locks. I've been using Noughty for a couple of years now as it's Vegan. I use the To The Rescue shampoo and mask regularly and decided to give this and the Tough Cookie conditioner a try. I have waist length, highlighted, fine type 2b/c hair and am prone to looking like a flloof ball. I bought this not expecting a miracle where frizz is concerned and especially for the modest price. I was pleasantly surprised and it kept my hair looking good for at least 2 to 3 days. I also bought the hair turban which is amazing too as is the Tough Cookie. I can't fault Noughty products. After using the matching shampoo and conditioner, I leave my hair dry a bit and lightly brush my hair before using this product. I start by using a small amount, rubbing my hands together and work from the middle of my hair down to my ends, then I use a little bit more to do the roots. After I'm finished applying this product to all of my hair, I finish brushing my hair. I have noticed that my hair hasn't frizzed up as much or even at all since I've started using this product and my hair is always frizzy, even if I use other anti frizz products. It has also helped my hair feel soft and smooth. It does have a nice pleasant scent to it and lightweight, and left no oily residue on my hair. I've always been using it on damp hair compared to using it on dry hair. Definitely recommend this.HPapovich

I love a good anti-frizz product. But, this used within the three piece system it comes in felt disgusting. It made me feel gross, like my hair hasn't been washed in weeks upon weeks while living in a hot summer climate while actually living in the frozen midwest in the winter. Now, removing this product from it's trio, I can say I like this to a point. The scent remains the same Suave scent of my childhood of not being able to afford anything but the bargain section at Kmart. However, the performance as an anti-frizz product and smoothing cream definitely came through better than a few others on the market while not feeling sticky and gross to apply. I can certainly see myself using this over the summer with my regular shampoo/conditioner combo as I have already without getting that greasy effect. Originally, this got a 3/5. Before trying to submit. Then, because Unilever is an invasive company that wants as much marketing data on you that it can get just to submit an honest review, it got knocked down to a 1/5. Ironic that they put a caution to "not provide any PII (Personally Identifiable Information) in this review as it may be shared publicly" warning, when they REQUIRE PII IN ORDER TO SUBMIT! Talk about unethical and inappropriate! I think most poor folks grew up with Suave in their bathroom, so the smell is certainly like going home, albeit alife of poverty is not exactly a great memory to harken back to. But to realize that they still predominantly market, price, and place the Suave line towards the low income demographic, and at least their marketing people managing this product review seem to think anyone interested and willing to try their wavy/ curly/ coily hair care products is dumb enough to provide this highly valuable information in exchange for a dollar store product is really insulting and degrading. Honestly, Unilever, do better, be better. Stop insulting the demographic you're trying to convince to buy your products just because they're most often low income. I have fine-thin hair, for me, I have found this product to actually live up to it's name ! It not only thickens the hair, provides hold to your completed hairstyle, it also adds shine and works amazingly as a setting spray for both when blow drying or when using a curling iron !! With use, this product creates the hair to appear more healthy and it is believed with long term use, thereby improving the condition of your locks, that it does just this !!! Although, the product itself can be a bit pricey, I have experienced that if even used as an staple item for long-hair, it can in fact last a long time. Used in small amounts, as this is a quality line, it will prove itself to go a long way and will last longer than what might be expected initially for most, as an first time user, as it did for me. I have had nothing but exceptional results from any B B product, discovered as I first stumbled upon their name when at a salon I went to off of Sunset Hills, Los Angeles, CA when residing in Glendale some now five yrs. ago. Amazing product. Can't understand the poor reviews so far. My hair is fine and wavy, often goes fluffy and flyaway, but then prone to becoming flat and greasy fairly quickly as the day progresses. This gives me a guaranteed good hair day – bouncy, soft, shiny and manageable all day long. Been using pretty much every day for a couple of years, and the days I don't use it I certainly wish I had! I find with this it is best to focus on the roots so the microfine powder in the cream base can do it's work there, then smooth any leftover residue through the length. Don't need to use much, particularly with fine hair. Genuinely can't recommend this enough, and gutted that they no longer do a travel sized version as I now have to decant it into a smaller bottle so I can have nice hair on holiday too!!Deelydoo
I use this product to extend my style between washes. It absorbs the oil really well and doesn't weigh down my fine hair. I will cry so hard if B and B stops making this. It's the only product out there like it that does such a good job. Believe me, I've wasted tons of money trying to find one. It does not make my hair greasy nor sticky. I apply a small amount every morning (on dry hair) and after hair wash (on wet hair). It tames frizz and makes my hair manageable, especially during highly-humid weather (my hair’s very sensitive to humidity). Nice sized bottle with pumper. I bought it because of its composition: it contains argan oil (the best oil for hair), silicones and Isopropyl myristate that I found out that it makes my hair the softest. Extremely moisturizing.
