If it was an electric heating pad sized product it would be useful to keep your feet warm in the car since I only feel any type of heat on my chest. The rest of the blanket is either defunct or downright sucks in my personal opinion! Honestly might only be a tad better than wearing a winter jacket I already have and that's what I'm thinking I'll resort to. And return the blanket…

Going to give it one last redemption test tonight, overnighter in New England before final decision. As of now 1 and 5 stars is looking slim to none, my 2 stars could be 2-4 depending on how Part Two (Below) goes and the only exception is if it magically fix all the issues I discovered I'll give it 5 stars!

I LOVE the electric car blanket my husband bought me as a gift. I use it daily all winter. In MN we have a long, cold winter so getting in my car early a.m. and coming home after work in the dark, chilly nights. It heats up fast and I have it loosely folded so just lay it over my lap and legs. I only live 15-20 minutes from work, and wear a warm coat, but your rear and legs aren't covered in down. I used to literally shiver because the car doesn't get hot heat until I'm nearly ther/home. I also have a hip problem and realized shivering and tense muscles were contributing to that pain. Since I got the blanket, I no longer shivering making the ride much more pleasant and I don't ache like I did! That was an unexpected bonus! I have told my husband dozens of times how that was one of the best gifts! In my van, I highly recommend it. I actually have had 2…the first was a pretty plaid, and he thought it didn't heat one day and worried because he'd leave it plugged in then start his vehicle, which could give it a surge…so he threw it and bought me another. I didn't know if that was necessary, and this one is black so I was not thrilled about that. Black shows every piece of lint, and it's just not as attractive in my mind, but it works all the same. My suggestion to the designers–this uses a "cigarette lighter" for heat. Because many vehicles have shifted away from cigarette lighters and instead have actual plug ins, a better electrical connection piece would be a versatile cigarette lighter/plug combo. They're cheap in any walmart/Walgreen store, doesn't affect design, so it wouldn't add much to cost.Minnesota

The controller is very light weight so it falls of the bedside table constantly. Had to tape it down. It is 100% polyester, even the sherpa stuff. The sherpa side feels strange (icky) and being polyester it is like sleeping under a pile of plastic shopping bags. All your body heat and moisture gets trapped. I wake up every night overheated, even when it is turned off! Love the idea that it is washable (haven't done it yet). I just recently received it and I love the fact that it's so light in weight, has fleece lining and it kept the temperature at a nice steady temp. for me throughout the night. I've had this blanket for a few weeks and have used it every night. Winter nights in NJ can get very cold and my bedroom is above the garage, so it gets quite cold at night. The sherpa lining is super soft. The blanket itself isn't heavy, so you don't feel like you have a weight sitting on you all night. My Fdx man just delivered my order for this Beautyrest plush electric blanket. I like lsvender and was expecting the color shown online. Instead, it has very little lavender anything in it and looks like some proverbial, dull, brownish-greyish color. I dislike brown, rust, gold, green, brick red as they can be dull and are warm colors which I dislike. I gave 1 star as the color is ugly and quite disappointing. I really expected a girl-color for a change. You always see old-people beige, black, brown, navy, maroon (loathe), gold, orange, green, white. Not a great selection at all. I have been using this heating blanket just about everyday for the past month. It is soft, comfortable, it keeps you warm and you can adjust the heat level. The first time I used it, I thought that it had stopped working, but that wasn't true. Sometimes, you will need to spread the blanket out because heat can be trapped in one area. But, this is not a problem. This throw works so well! I have used this in many ways- wrapped around my waist or shoulders, across the front of my body and one night I watched movies on the couch and had it stretched to cover my feet. It is so comfortable that you can fall asleep, but I prefer this to a space heater. One little issue that might bother some people, is that the furs can shed a little. This was not a problem for me. Sometimes, there were a few furs on my phone or my body. One side is a lux faux fur and the other side is not a cold satin, but a smooth suede-like finishella

This is literally the softest blanket we own. Love the pattern, size and warmth! My wife is always cold, so this might save our marriage :-p Came well packaged, no odor or anything offputting, just a great heated blanket that gets plenty warm and is extremely soft! Yes you can feel the heater element wires in the blanket but I’ve found that to be true with all heated blankets. It’s a trade-off in my opinion – the thicker the blanket the less you feel the wires, but the less heat you get from them. This is a perfect balance of both!

I have bought and used numerous electric blankets throughout the years and pretty much they are all the same…except this one. I really can’t describe how luxurious, heavy and wonderful this blanket is. There are simply no words to express the quality. It’s sheer perfection. Yeah, I know, how can I love this that much? Because it’s like having TV dinner pizza for decades only to discover brick oven pizza from NY pizzerias exist. It’s that drastic of a difference. Trust me. Get this blanket. But prepare to be pampered, not willing to survive with any other brand of electric blanket for life.
The blanket is beautiful. Soft and cozy. It is heavy which adds to its coziness. I particularly like thar the cords to the controllers are long enough to reach our nightstands. I returned two previous blankets (not purchased from Wayfair) because the cords were too short. The blanket fits our king sized bed with just a little overhang on the sides. Definitely couldn’t use it as a spread. I tested the heating on both sides and it seemed to be working fine. We haven’t had to use it all night yet. I don’t think you could go wrong ordering this blanket as long as you want a heavier blanket.
I am a bit of an electric blanket snob and I consider them to be an investment. I have tried many brands over the years and I like the blanket to be soft, wash well, have a solid warranty and warms evenly (obviously). This checks all the boxes. The blanket is a thick, super soft material that hides the wire feeling. Its soft enough to use even when heating isn’t necessary. Heats up quickly and evenly and can get very warm. My only con is that its very similar to the Degrees of Comfort blanket thats half the price (the controllers are EXACTLY the same). I decided to keep this one though since it came in the color I wanted and the blanket is slightly thicker.LynRN

Excellent buy! With the rising cost in energy I opted for this blanket to cut down on overall heating in the home. Blanket is fantastic with ties for under the mattress to stop moving around, heat is well distributed and the biggest bonus is it has two separate controllers so your partner can decide to turn off on their side if required. 3 heat settings and very warm! I am delighted with this blanket and at a very good price compared to other shops. Using this has already cut back on heating as once your in bed there is no need for central heating to be on. Second purchase for the spare room. First was a double dual controlled blanket. Single controller this time as a smaller double bed and used by single occupant usually. Tested it and heats fast, toasty warm on no 2 setting. Box for wires rather low down below pillow can be felt under sheet, not a problem with single occupant but might be uncomfortable if two in bed? Probably have to move up to under pillow rather than right down end of foot end if two people staying.
Bought this for my son's bed to keep him warm. Bought a double for his small double bed and it doesn't cover it all. Takes ages to warm up. On level three it doesn't keep him warm. Waste of money and very disappointed. Thought for silent night it would be good but no. The plug Is very bulky too so uncomfortable or have to put under pillow which means bottom half of bed doesn't get warmed up.Hepz

It’s not to hot but just right. When we get in the car we plug in our blanket as a cover then it heats to a comfortable warm . We haven’t gone on any long trips using our blanket yet but, I can only image .
