I have been riding this bike for approximately 2 months and I don't really see the limit of it. I mean I sent pretty much every drop and jump I could find and the only thing that gave up on me was the wheels… This bike is an absolute beast for the price tags. The only thing that limits the hardtail is probably your skills. Yes it's not perfect. I think a 140mm at front would have been better (easy to change the air shaft to 140) yes stronger wheels would have been better instead of 29 33inner mm would have been much stronger and yes a better pads for the rear brakes would have been much much better no idea why but if it's wet I'm losing 85% of my rear brakes. But let's be honest all those upgrade will cost you almost nothing… O I forget if you don't want to ride at 30psi and want something more grippy buy some cushcore. The bike is so capable that you may feel like you are on a full suspension and then your wheels going to hate you so cushcore may help to ride your tyres a bit softer and then have a bit more grip to it! If you question yourself should you buy a SQ3? The answer is absolutely yes.Pierre
Out of the box this bike rips! It truly does do it all. It’s agile and corners like it’s on rails. It’s very flickable and fun on the jump lines. My only complaint is the seat tube is not as slack as I would like riding the long fire roads back up my local trails. But with that said this bike is geared towards going down in the funnest way possible and not XC climbs. I am 5’8” with short legs and a long torso. I am glad I went with the M size frame. The large would have given me a better climbing bike with the longer top tube but I would have sacrificed on the fun stuff with the taller seat tube. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and the support the GovVelo gives to veterans is awesome. Buy one if you can find one!Steven

Worked well until the free hub body broke, Buying a spare was far from easy. Specialized probably buys big assembly or the whole bike from China with no documentation of what parts have been used other than whats in the broad spec. So they had no idea how to retrieve a new body or tell me what they have used. The only tip I got from Specialized support was incorrect and would not have fitted since the part is NOT Shimano as they suggested. The friendly local specialized mechanic suggested I rebuild the rear hub myself trying to find a complete hub with same spoke diameter to replace, and maybe not chose Specialized for next bike.Daniel
I got the previous model for my one of my kids so I was very happy, was about to pull the trigger on another for my 5yr old (tall kid) and I saw they were updated and $50 more than the 20”. No brainer so I ordered it. The bike will be easy to put together from anyone even if they never turned a wrench. BigS includes all the tools needed. The packaging although gives you a well put bike, due to the shipping, it damaged the top tube paint but specialized support helped me out with a return and exchange for a perfect one. This was the bike both my kids learned how to ride a pedal bike on. They both graduated from their strider bikes to this and never had training wheels. It's a great starter bike, it's light, forgiving, and perfect for most kids about 2-3.5 years old. It's obviously well engineered for small people, the step over height is right for them, the cranks and pedals are sized right, and they don't have to think twice about picking it up and riding. We bought our bike from Center Cycle in Renton, Wa. I'd gone in to pick up some part and my son who was about 2.5 at the time picked up this bike off the rack in the shop and rode it around the store for 20 minutes with no training wheels. We bought two of these. Men's and Women's. The woman's bike assembled OK, but a lot of adjustment was needed and the shift only has about 50% usable distance. The men's bike was missing a screw on the front brake adjustment and the front derailleur was bent. I tried to fix as I did not want to bring this back, but then found out that the gear change on the left handlebar only had less than 50% movement as well. To see what was up, I completely loosened the cable to increase the movement, but no dice. The fault was inside teh shifter. Back to the store for a refund.Sharon
Was preassembled when purchased. Went through all the nuts and bolts to ensure tightness before riding. Although preassembled, I had to align the seat and handle bars. No big deal. It was pretty light considering the price. I’m 65” and bike felt comfortable. I didn’t like the seat and got a wider one nothing against current seat just my preference. Bike handles well. One word of caution- the front tires did come close to my feet when turning. It didn’t touch but just something to be aware of. U did purchase quick disconnects for the tires. Bought this bike 1 month ago and already had to have it worked on. The shifters, main derailluer are the worst! (I have another Huffy bought around the same time with the exact same problem!!) They are very cheap making it nearly impossible for my 13 year old to change gears, even when the bike is being ridden. The repair person informed me that Huffy is known for the low quality parts and that replacing them all might solve the problem. He recommended buying Shimano parts to replace the original cheap parts so that my child might get some real use out of it. This is supposed to be a new bike, yet it has a lot of internal rust like it was left outside in the rain before it was brought inside to be sold. Lesson learned, I will never buy another Huffy bike nor any other bike from Walmart!!Angela

My son loves the new bike. He upgraded from a 20" so this is his first bike with disc breaks, suspension and gears. The new gray color for 2021 looks really cool and he's doing great with it. The only issue is with the Shimano Revoshift. Occasionally he's not able to shift gears because the grip shift is too tight. Looking online I see others with similar complaints. (probably would be to others as well) I had to replace the tubbing in my wife back tire after she rode the bike 200 feet or less from the house and there were no nails on the street and I couldn't find any type of indication of why the tire went flat. (tubbing must've been old or dry rotted-idk) Changing the gears on my bike is pretty easy, but since I did that, I still haven't been able to get my bike to stop making noises while I'm riding it. (chain noises) The only reason why I didn't return the bikes to BJ's is because it's too much of a hassle and the price was economical.JB
Poorly made bike that had many problems from the time we unboxed it. Would not go into multiple gears initially. The tension was so far off that it basically had to be refine from scratch. After 3 hours of work and additional adjustments, the bike worked. Our 9 year old was ecstatic. After each ride around our neighborhood on roads/sidewalks, something would need tweaking. Then, after 6 days of light use, he was riding down the street and fell over on the bike. He was unharmed. We asked what happened and he said, "It felt like the bike just collapsed when I pushed down on the pedal." The back brake was grinding badly. My husband started resetting those when my son noticed that the wheel looked "wobbly;" my husband looked at the wheel and noticed it was significantly bent. That explained why the brakes were not working! Not sure if the wheel was bent and just got worse as he rode it or if it was compromised and just snapped, but it was not normal. Reasonably easy to assemble with simple tools (please note that you have your own tools as they are not provided along with the bike). The assembly instruction booklet is useless because it deals with assembling the entire bike, but the bike comes approximately 80% assembled. Also, the instructions deals with assembling many different versions of the bike, so it is even more useless and hard to follow. For the assembly I used you tube videos, which were very useful. I had an issue with assembling the front wheel as the break disk hit one of the break pads, which ended up popping out. Initially, I was not sure where that popped out part come out from, but after some struggling, I got lucky and figured it out and managed to put it back.Aasim
Great bike. And as others said: Finally a girls bike that is cool. Comes with Shimano shifter, front disc brake and 21 gear system (front 42/32/24 ; back 28/24/22/20/18/16/14), ratio about 0.8 to 3.0. As with most mountain bikes, you won't need the easy gears for normal road use. I replaced the fat off-road knobby tires with 24×1.75 street tires. Would give it five stars, if it were not for the assembly. That should be one star. I could not remove the wheels with normal tools. Some guy must have used a pneumatic wrench on it. (Well, enough people complained about not all the parts on Walmart bikes being fully tightened…) I ended up with a long wrench and a hammer tapping on the wrench. It was completely over-tightened, the nut ate into the chrome finish. I also had to adjust the rear brake and the limiter on the rear shifter so it would go into first gear. Also, rear wheel isn't true. I'm uncertain, if that happened in shipment, or how the bike was handled in store. My recommendation: Get the bike and if you have some bike maintenance experience or know someone, try to pick it up unassembled.areaman
We got this bike for my daughter. The bike itself is great. It’s very sturdy. She is 5’1”, and the bike is perfect for her. The only thing was it took about 2.5 hours for me and my husband to put this together. The instructions seem to be written more for someone that is familiar with putting bikes together rather than the non-expert, but we managed. Other than that, I’m glad we got this for her.Leah

Nice Bike – But the seller (PACIFIC CYCLE) is useless. I assembled the bike with ease and attempted to adjust both derailleurs unsuccessfully. Contacted Pacific Cycle to determine who would handle the warranty to complete the adjustments to make the bicycle usable, but was told that it was my responsibility. UNACCEPTABLE that a sales company won't stand behind the product they sell. Had to pay $75.00 to have the bicycle adjusted so I could use it as intended. You're better off buying a Schwinn through a retailer – they will assemble, adjust and ensure that your bike works the way it is supposed to before leaving the store. This seems like a very nice bike, it came well packaged with padding around the bike and inside two boxes. Everything seems to operate smoothly and be well made. The paint is in good condition. The emblem on the front is not attached well, but that’s not a big deal. It has hand brakes but does not have coaster breaks (does not stop if you pedal backwards), this is ok as long as your child knows this.JBob
My husband reports that this bike was quite easy to assemble (less than an hour). My kids (13 and 12) absolutely love it. Definitely more of a stunt bike, and my kids aren't really into extreme sports, but they love it just for fun. It's a good size for both of them, and it's fairly light weight. So far it seems quite durable. Our son in particular likes that it has one brake; he also loves the color scheme (he loves lime green). Great bike!ccgirl

It’s a solid enough bike at a reasonable cost but does have a couple drawbacks. The breaks are pretty stiff and require a lot of hand force/strength and my 6 year old has so far struggled with getting stopped in short distances. I’m keeping my eyes on him and his ability to ride safely. The chain had a bad/stiff link which caused the bike to skip a link on every revolution of the chain. I was able to use vise grips, a screw driver, a hammer and silicone spray to get the link loosened up to run smoothly but it took a decent amount of time to diagnose the issue and fix it. I had to use an impact driver to get the handlebars tight enough, the supplied tools simply weren’t enough leverage.BRMD
I bought this bike for my daughter who had outgrown her kids bike. She is a small 12 year old and can fit nicely on the lowest settings of this bike. The directions were surprisingly easy to follow and we had the bike together rather quickly (less than an hour). Overall, great bike!
Bought for my sons birthday and the bars that hold the front tire were squeezed together. My husband had to pry them apart. The handle bar keeps spinning, no matter how tight we screw the screw in. He got the back at the beginning of this month and can’t ride it because the tires feel like he is holding the brakes, yet we have the brakes not even attached trying to make this work. Very unhappy with the purchase.

Great looking bike. Easy to assemble. Instruction manual in the box did not apply to the bike in question, however once we came to this realization, the rest was easy enough to figure out. Seat height is very easy to adjust (nice feature). Stand included. Hand breaks are a little difficult to reach for our seven year old, however it may just take some practice. Bike pre-set was in 6th gear, so make sure to change before having your child ride for the first time (otherwise difficult to start pedaling). Bike does not have predrilled holes to accommodate a water bottle holder (a bit disappointed in this, but perhaps this is standard for a 20"). Overall very happy.First time purchaser
