Best 40 Mph Electric Scooter (2023 Update)

The power, hill climbing, range and suspension are excellent on the Mantis Fluid V2. It is much better than the Hiboy Titan Pro I previously owned. The scooter arrived with a defect, it would not charge. After a few hours of debug and help from the support team, I had to disassemble to scooter battery compartment to find the fuse on the charging line. Once disassembled, the fuse feel out of from the wiring bundle. It had not been put in the fuse holder during assembly. Very frustrating that I had to fix this. The only compensation offered were some inexpensive accessories that i did not need. I asked to the 60V fast charger for my multiple hours or effort to fix the defective scooter but support would only offer $75 coupon. I ended up buying the fast charger and it works fine. The support team was helpful and responsive. The compensation for the defective scooter which took hours of my time to fix was inadequate after spending almost $2000 on the scooter with extended warranty.Patrick K

This scooter is a major upgrade from my beginner Xiaomi Mi PRO-2. The old scooter went 20mph downhill (with firmware flashed) and 6mph uphill. The new one goes 42mph downhill (stock firmware) and 36mph uphill. I now ride in traffic with cars not next to them and am passing slow ones. Things to keep in mind with this scooter: 1. If you ride with your back foot across the deck the scooter will wobble at speed. You have to ride with both feet in line on the deck. 2. Body weight transfer forward when accelerating and backward when braking is necessary with dual-motor performance mode. 3. You have to know how to use both rear and front brakes well. You need them both if you have to stop in a hurry. Don't enable the electronic throttle brake because if you get used to that you won't be able to manage the real brakes when you really need them work. It would be a good idea to practice maximum braking drills in an empty parking lot with this scooter just like good motorcycle riders do periodically. 4. A simple bike helmet is completely inadequate protection with this scooter. I was already wearing a motorcycle helmet and gloves on my old scooter and with this one I feel I need motorcycle pants nd jacket (with abrasion resistance and armor in the right places). It will not feel good to crash on this scooter at anything above 20mph without that level of protection. 5. Be sure to spend the time to tune the angle of all the adjustable handlebar items. You don't want to be distracted trying to see or press these when they are not pointed the right way. 6. The clamp that locks the steering stem into the deck that you have to undo to fold the scooter and vice-versa is annoying to use compared to the Xiaomi Mi PRO-2. Unlocking the stem on that scooter took 5 sec and this one takes 5 min to get everything fully tight. They need a better stem clamp that is faster to unlock and lock. 7. Fluidfreeride should sell a car transport block for this scooter. Without this it moves around in your car when being transported making black marks on everything. They should offer some 3D printed something that you just set the folded scooter into and it stays put in the trunk or cargo deck of your car. All in all this scooter is great — as long as it doesn't kill me.John N

I have been an electric bike user for the past several years. I loved it so much, my wife and I sold our cars and used the bikes as our sole transportation for the past 2 years. Recently, I took on a client in an area of town difficult to access by e-bike (requires some freeway travel). I had been taking the train and hoping that a scooter share or bike share would be available at the other end. Since I am not a big fan of relying on the scooter/bike share programs I decided to purchase my own scooter. After some painstaking research I came across the Mantis V2 and on paper it fit every requirement. It had great power, adequate range and I could easily carry it on the train. After taking delivery of my mantis a week or two ago, I must say it lives up to the advertisements and then some. This thing is powerful. It is a blast to turn both motors on blast down the road (Of course,only in a safe manner observing all applicable laws/regulations). There are much cheaper high quality scooters out there but for me this is the perfect mix of performance and portability that will keep me using it even when I don't have to get on the train.Joey

So happy i bought this scooter. i bought it to get to work and back but find myself getting home leaving my book bag and go back out and ride a few hours. Super impressed with the build quality speed and power. Goes up super steep dirt hills with ease. Also super impressed with the shipping speed. I ordered on a Wednesday and it arrived by Thursday morning next week! And for those who say its over priced, to me just with shipping speed its worth every extra penny i might have paid. I just wish I wouldve bought the seat with it but its on the way! Also the grip tape designs are all cheesy i wouldve traded those for something else. Over all amazing product so far. Man I got to tell you I am blown away by the quality and design! I did the research for months, hemmed and hawed. Landed on the Eagle One. Addictive. The fun is non stop. Outstanding price for a high end performance scooter. Some of my take aways are; *Fantastic truly amazing handling. *Speed and range are as advertised, really fast! *The shocks and brakes are on the money. Very good quality. *I love how you can easily customize and literally upgrade. So far I've added a nice mirror, cup holder, stickers. **Very adjustable. Ordered off road tires. *Definitely practice! Wear safety gear! At least in the beginning. I put the Eagle on an egg crate then turned her on and did simulations. Learned the ins and outs, learning the mechanics and !!checking everything!!. Feel. Then the parking lot. In two days I was doing miles of pure fun. Speeds of up to 34 mph. It can go 40. *Similar to a sit inside kayak. You become one with the machine. ✓Easy to learn. ✓I love the speed, range, manuverableness, control. Then your going to get a lot of looks, comments, compliments, wtf's. When I first open the box of the scooter I was very excited that I finally received my varla eagle one scooter been waiting for the past 3 weeks.. I must admit this scooter is extremely fast, Especially when you put it in mode three on single door mode. This thing takes off like a Porsche or Ferrari on two wheels. It very premium built and sturdy I didn't have any problems with this scooter. I live in Philadelphia which is the second biggest city on the East Coast I drove from South Philadelphia to center city in amount of 12mins. I have regular cars looking on the side of me any yell out the window what kind of scooter is that. This thing is fast, can it can carry a big guy and still run fast. I am 240lbs and I was specifically looking for something that had speed and the ability to haul my butt uphill. This brute is heavy duty, loads of torque and no problem carrying me uphill and still maintaining a good amount of speed. I've had it up to 40 mph on flat streets. I've traveled up to 10 miles on this at full speed and hills. She only slowed a little on the last hill, but all the flats were still good to get me home. Wow. I would have rated it a 5 star if it had a little more intuitive battery meeter and if it came with a headlight. The batter indicator light doesn't seem to reflect a very accurate amount of power remaining.Justme463

This scooter is pretty fast and smooth to ride. Make sure to fully charge before the first ride. After second charge battery cells were calibrated and got well over 20km and still had battery life left. This is not for somebody over 250 Lbs. All riders under this weight will have fun on this scooter.Gamerx

When I first heard of Fiat doing Electric Scooters, I was blown away. I convinced my other half that it would be a great opportunity to purchase these as they comfortably fold up and could fit in the back of a trunk. After all, this is Fiat – Known for making high quality vehicles so nothing would suggest otherwise of the build for their Electric Scooters. If I could review the scooters in two sections; I would. As I believe the overall design/look of the Electric Scooters is desirable however it's not just an eyecatcher it's quite impressive in the area of speed hitting 25km p/h speed with no problem. The features of the Electric Scooter are great. You have the option to turn the headlight on/off with the click of two button pushes etc. However .. This is a 1/5 star review; and the reason is due to the following: -> Poor Manufacturing -> Poor Bolts / Allen key tool One of two electric scooters had an issue with not being able to fold up or down. Even after attempting to tighten/loosen the contraption that allows folding. That same scooter also had a problem with the handle bars; if you turn the scooter while driving it had a chance of shifting the handle bar position. (Which I thought was quite dangerous) The other scooter had a problem with it's bolts, and the front tire was not filled completely. One of the bolts completely stripped, and destroyed the allen key. Thankfully I purchased two of the scooters allowing me an extra Allen Key however it ended up breaking that allen key too. I solved this by going to Home Hardware and buying a better grade of Allen Keys, but the bolts were still a problem. This same scooter had a problem with the front tire where it did not hold air; and when attempting to fill it with air – it would not take any of that air either. I think that the problems could be rectified by offering / having additional bolts rather then just the 4 bolts they give you for assembly of the handle bars. This would have solved the one situation of one bolt stripping and perhaps a quality check on the scooter build because one of the scooters could fold up and down no problem. Never had a problem with steering. If you could combine these two Electric Scooters you would have one solid scooter. Although I love Fiat – I do not believe that their model Fiat U2 Adult Electric Scooter is a solid choice as both of the scooters I purchased had quality issues. I hope that Fiat looks into making a new model / another model – regardless I will be looking for a more expensive scooter to replace these two. Overall, great value for the product however the build quality is poor. (Unless I am just super unlucky and got two products from the same lot # that were overlooked)Alex

The scooter doesn't keep it's range at alll!!.. it says that it can do 32 km per charge, but mine only lasted 7.2km , even though it was a straight path with no incline. The build quality is ok, you can hear some squeaking and brakes aren't really powerful, it take a bit if time to stop. I did return it at the endSalu

I bought the base model wolf warrior x about a month ago. I've put 113 miles on it. I bought it for minor trail riding to get to fishing spots quicker. The only issue I've had is that I didn't buy another one. My son and his friends can not get enough of this thing. It's powerful and fast. This scooter goes with me everywhere. I find reasons to take it out of my trunk whenever possible. Everyone wants to try it and when they do, its always the same reaction. Surprised at the power and smiles from ear to ear. I have driven in my city of Philadelphia with no issues as far as keeping up with traffic. I've taken it to my mountain house twice now and really opened it up on the open roads. 40+mph for miles straight with no issues at all. Over 50mph on some downhill stretches. Solid build. It doesn't just go fast, it's built to go fast. It doesn't feel like it's getting pushed beyond its limits at top speed. No shaking or anything that feels sketchy. I couldn't be more happy with my decision. Fluidfreeride made purchasing easy and the scooter arrived from California to Philadelphia in 4 days. Received warrior x about two weeks ago, but couldn't really ride it because the display was cracked probably during shipping with bunch of holes on the box. Got the replacement display and was easy to install. Didn't realize the how much power it has until I pull the throttle while on the board – it was doing wheelie! Got to lear to throttle better. FF's customer service is as good as people say, put an order in for the replacement display day after I requested, shipping was delayed a little due to warehouse issue, but still came in a timely manner. The only complain I have with the X is withe documentation, unless I missed it, had to google it to find the psettings and such. Still confuse about the blue lights on the single/dual and turbo buttons, whether blue light on means dual motor on or single motor on? Ditto on the turbo button. All in all, I like this scooter a lot. Originally was intended for my wife to ride it on the steep hill to the beach for her regular fishing trip. But she finds it too much for her to handle standing on it, and prefer a seared scooter instead. So it will be my commute to work scooter, and I also started hunting the sit down scooter with similar hill climb ability for my wife. FF will be one site I will keep in mind and check.Dave G

Good review except your statement that the two versions of the Wolf x “mainly differ in battery size and display” is wrong . A very important difference is only eluded to tangentially . The sinewave controllers on the base model make a huge difference .The pro model ,which is the one I have(sort of) , comes with square wave controllers and is intolerably twitchy (Adjusting the “P” settings only makes a tiny difference.) https://youtu.be/gxDafNIMxJ4?t=478 . The reason I said “sort of” is that because of the twitchy-ness, I swapped out the squarwave controllers for their sinewave counterparts. Now I have the combined benefits of the base model and the Pro .It’s so smooth now that I can drive it inside my house But note, the initial acceleration P setting makes a more significant difference with the base model . If you choose “strong” ,it’s incredibly quick but still relatively smooth . Then also ,as quietly stated in Fluid’s review, the base model has a slightly higher top speed.H.G.

It's quiet and smooth. but I hate don't like the brake. There is only one brake, in the back, and it is either on or off – no in between. this makes for jerky stops. it is impossible to slowly, smoothly, come to a stop on this vehicle. And it has no front brake at all! ok so even the little Razor kick scooter @ Walmart has a caliper front brake! so now i'm trying to drill through the frame to retrofit a caliper brake on the front, and I just should not have to do this.Hap 14

I blew a rear tube on a nail and you cannot use a straight valve stem tube with the hub motor, it butts up to the motor and you can’t put air in it. And good luck finding a tube the right size with an angled valve stem, I can’t even find a replacement on Razors website…Emmett72

I love this scooter. I can sit or stand with my daughter standing in front of me. We go riding throughout the neighborhood and use it every week to go to gymnastics. 2 of my neighbors bought one to ride with their daughters as well. So fun!az_maui_girl

Misrepresented description makes 3 stars, manual says 400w motor. Has small charger and even a tire air pump. Takes a little kick and it cruises. I haven't owned it long and I would not expect the full "15" mile rang, especially if they can't get basic FACTS about the scooter correct. I've seen this scooter style with out the "Hurley" branding and it was about the same price. I bought a pair and they are FUN, not looking forward to a rear tire going flat though, and only one set of brakes. Assembly is fast with only four screws to attach the handlebar and it comes with the tool to do so. The charging port plug doesn't stay in too well, so seems like it could become an issue.Bryan

Please see my positive rating below for my initial review. I am on my second scooter because the first one somehow blew the never flat tire. Both had issues with the throttle getting stuck (also not a user error, it was not in cruise control as was suggested). Tonight, I was riding home from work (smooth road, no bumps) and the scooter suddenly collapsed (like it does to fold it). I’m lucky that I fell to the right side away from traffic and had a helmet on but rolled multiple times, resulting in large burns on my forearms, knee, ankle, and an extremely large burn on my thigh and butt. I came to a stop when my head hit the curb. It burnt hole through my shorts and my shoe. THIS WAS NOT A USER ERROR. The safety break thing was on and remainder on even after the crash yet here we are. I am working with fluid free ride to get a full refund and to start a safety complaint regarding this brand and style of scooters. I ordered the Inokim Light 2 after what was probably 60+ hours of research looking at all types of scooters. It was super helpful to talk to the Fluid Free Ride team to help narrow down my choices, test ride scooters (really important in my opinion) and get other tips in general as a first time scooter owner. I ended up going with the Inokim Light 2 due to its portability, light weight, high top speed for its class, and beautiful design. It arrived a couple days earlier than projected, and the scooter is a beauty to behold that stands out from the rest. The only tips I'd give to new Inokim Light 2 owners is to understand the "push stem forward to unlock while pushing down the lever" mechanism for the stem, which is in the manual but isn't super clear. And also to lubricate the handle bar threading with graphite or another lubricant, as riding can tighten the joints where it becomes quite hard to unloosen. I'm a bit on the lighter side (~130 lbs), and I'm happy to report that I've been getting 25 miles on a single charge. I ride around NYC, and that is plenty enough to go to all the places that I want to go. I typically keep the speed to about 17-18mph on longer commutes, only using the 21mpg top speed for open straightaways (getting doored in NYC by cars is a real thing and 17mpg is plenty fast for most of NYC). The lack of suspension hasn't really been an issue for me outside of the occasional cobblestone streets that are around NYC. All around, really happy with my purchase and glad that I purchased from Fluid Free Ride.. the team is really helpful and amazing. Shout out to Chuck for being the man.Wesley L

Needed a scooter to keep up with my girlfriends Alpha Hover-1. Didn't want to spend too much but wanted to get a decently priced well built scooter under $1k that was easy to transport. Fluidfreeride had many options avaliable. Finally decided on the Inokim Light 2 for its features and build quality in a lightweight package. Rode the scooter around Portland, OR over the weekend. Handled great for having a solid rear tire, has decent sized deck for balancing, dual drum brakes for longevity, and just a great overall clean look to it. After 2 hours of driving I'd only lost 1 bar of battery. Did have an issue with the locking pin for the folding mechanism coming lose, but was corrected with a little locktite. Overall I'm happy with the Inokim Light 2 but am still looking at getting a faster scooter (personal preference).Brent

Bought this for my son at college as an alternative to a parking permit. He rides from the dorm to his classes and never has to move his car. I'm a big guy, 275lbs, I put it together and rode it around the neighborhood, ya know, to make sure it worked , before we took it down to our kid. It was a ton of fun and it moved me around with no issue. Has a built in odometer, I got up to 19mph and I exceed the weight limit! Only catch, I thought it was broken when I first got on. It will only "go" once you push off and are traveling at 3mph . It doesn't take off from a dead stop. My son says he only needs to chargenit every few days too. I'd definitely buy this scoot again.David

Buyer beware; no costumer service! I don’t recommend this product. Been having very hard time contacting customer service. Bought this for my wife, but I will not let her ride it. Handle bars aren’t steady. Board seems rickety, some bolts fell out, and I lost the kickstand riding in the park. I thought Walmart would have a good brand, but now I’m not sure. I was hoping to get a very stable scooter for my wife and thought this Hiboy would be worth it to buy, but it doesn’t seem secure at all and no one can help you if it breaks! I think I’m going to ask Walmart for refund and see if Segway makes these.Ben

The scooter is fantastic! It’s not too fast or slow, and it feels pretty solid. The range is pretty good for a last mile commuting vehicle, I get around 12-14 miles on one charge with a mix of sport and eco. The ride is very bumpy unless you adjust the suspension, and I added a monorim v3 for an amazing ride. Sport Mode says 19mph on the speedo but it’s closer to 15, while eco says 13 but it’s closer to 10. Overall a great scooter for using around campus or getting to/from the parking lot.Terye

I work in Boston and take the Commuter Rail into town. After 7 months of riding the Silver Line the last 1.1 miles of my commuter, an endeavor that on a great day would take typically takes 25 minutes, I grew tired of waiting and decided to join the eScooter crowd. No Regrets. The Hiboy Titan is a capable enough scooter. I wanted something beefier and faster than the norm. I rode Moutain Bikes (and I mean REAL mountain bikes – XC, Aggressive Trail and Downhill) The Titan allows me to zip around almost at the speed of traffic, soaking up the bumps on the awful downtown Boston roads while still allowing me to hop off (or on) a curb when needed to avoid, well… anything and everything. It's a fast and efficient method of getting around, a single battery charge lasts me all week. It also allows me to stretch my work day when needed and still make the train home. That's not to say the Titan is perfect. Far From it. Whoever assembled the scooter at the factory should be counseled by management and retrained. But I spent a decade working as a certified bike mechanic so I'm used to it (factory pre-assembly, even for major reputable companies is atrocious) and have some skills. Most of the screws had no factory Loctite on them. Curiously the stem bolts supplied to attach the handlebars actually did so points for that. But I removed all the other bolts and added some. The Scooter is subjected to a ton of vibration during normal operation so bolts vibrating loose are expected. Even with that after 2 weeks of commuting bolts should be rechecked and retorqued. Both brake handles were loose, but I would have changed the position anyway for comfort. Both brakes rubbed, the rear brake rotor had a warp in it which is not uncommon. Fixed those issues. minor and you could ride with it the way it was but my OCD wouldn't let me. Both brake cables were WAY TOO LONG and I cut and recapped them. The BIG thing that bugs me to this day is the folding bars. There is no way to lock the bar in the down position meaning you can't pick the scooter up using the folded bar. And the screw that clamps the bars in place comes loose far too easily. The screw merely holds a bracket that does the physical locking so even when fairly loose there is no hazard of the bar folding on you. Even if the bar were to come loose it wouldn't spell disaster. It's never vibrated loose enough for that to happen to me and I doubt it will but I would have liked to see some better engineering there. If you've never ridden a scooter or don't have much 2-wheel experience this might not be the option for you. The Deck is really high for a scooter which makes starting and stopping more difficult though once accustomed to it it's not really an issue and the height allows for bump clearance, so it works both for and against you. Also, keep your toe clear of the brackets that hold the steering bar in place. Some modifications by me. I did add latex sealant to both tubes as a preventative measure though I had no issues with the tires/tubes before that. I also installed M4 RivNuts on the front tube so I could put in a bottle holder to hold my 'Dunkin coffee in the morning. Would love to see the factory add them. I disconnected all the wires and removed the tube before drilling. DO NOT attempt to drill the tube with the wires still inside. I also might replace the cable pull disc brakes with some SRAM hydraulic ones if they fit (Shimano tend to be too grabby) but that's a large undertaking. All in all I'm happy with the scooter. It's super fun to ride and does the job I need it to. No regrets so far. Battery life is what I would expect. BTW, don't expect to go 28 miles at top speed. The faster you go the less distance you'll get. I saw a comment about the manual. The Manual is poor to start and while some parts seem specific to the Titan, other parts are just for scooters in general. The scooter handles more than 220 with no issues. I rode around the neighborhood with 50 pounds in a backpack and it still hit top speed even up an incline. The Manual also says not to ride it off road, or on any road that also allows pedestrians and/or cars, so apparently you can't ride it anywhere according to the manual. Use some uncommon sense people!Torch

This electric scooter is great and very strong. I have taken it out of package and only tooks me about 10 minutes to set it up. It's a bit heavy but worth riding it around my neighborhood .It come with a key to turn it on and off the scooter. So it is more security to keep the scooter safe. The board is much wider than any other scooters. And the material seems very sturdy. The 10 inches off road tires are definitely my favored parts of the scooter. The ride is extremely smooth. The power is scary insane. I put it the test following a dirt bike trail out in the hills and the scooter did amazing job way better then I thought it would. With the dual motor. It can go on any hills without any problems. Overall I like this scooter. So much fun. It's easy to get comfortable with. And great handling. Very powerful and fast. Also has very good range. I can ride almost 40 miles before it needs to be charged.hoverfly_official

Overall, I actually really like the scooter. It��s fast and has decent range. Always wear a helmet though. That��s true for all scooters, but especially this one. The brakes can lock up if you grab too hard (same as with a motorcycle), and with the weight and velocity, a crash would be dangerous. That problem is exacerbated by the negative caster (the center of the axis of wheel rotation is behind the center of steering pivot rotation), which makes the steering unstable. You really have to have both hands on the handle bars at all times. You can get away with one hand on some scooters, but not this one. I know from experience, even a second to look at your watch can result in a crash. Broke my arm and got a concussion. If you know how to modify the caster, do it. Otherwise be super careful or check for another scooter. Less important, but get some thread locker for any bolts you don��t want to come out like the headlight bolt, which I now lost because it kept coming loose.zdrussell

As other major review websites have noted, this scooter is to other scooters what a Tesla is to other cars or Apple products to other consumer electronics. It is built with refinement and looks that stand out and that draw praise and compliments. It is lightweight and easy to use, and it has fitted into a part of my weekly commutes that I will further detail in this review. However, dollar for dollar, this is not the most powerful or longest-range scooter for the price, nor does it offer a comfortable ride in comparison to other e-scooters with suspension setups and pneumatic tires. With these disclosures, I will start jumping around with what I love and don’t love with this scooter. Assembly from the package is easy. It comes with easy-to-follow instructions with both a QR code for helpful videos and a full booklet. The scooter deck and stalk come assembled with the handlebar as a separate piece which must be attached to the stalk via a cable and 4 small screws with an included hex head screwdriver. Two extra screws are included in case of mishaps, and they all have pre-applied blue Loctite to avoid the screws backing out with vibrations. With that minor assembly accomplished, it was just a matter of peeling some protective plastic off and turning on the scooter the first time. The scooter came with about a half charge per the easy-to-read display on the handlebar. I knew that the instructions called for me to fully charge the scooter, but I just couldn’t wait to take it outside and try it! Helmet donned, scooter turned on, I started it out on its level 3 advanced mode because I like to live dangerously, haha. The scooter I noticed immediately felt quite peppy. I weigh 200 pounds, close to the max weight of 220 pounds for this scooter, so I was surprised it took off so nicely. This model has a single 350W motor to the rear wheel, so I was quite pleased with the acceleration and it’s maintaining its top speed of 15mph even up somewhat steep roads in my neighborhood. This scooter is by no means the model you would want if you lived in a city like San Francisco as it does quickly become anemic in its power limits up hills. I would look into the E500 that has dual 250W motors for better hill climbing. For flat suburban or well-maintained urban regions, this E350 suits the bill nicely. My initial ride completed, I took it home and fully charged it, and I have since put on about 30 miles on the odometer of the scooter. Here is a summary of my experience with the scooter so far: The 15-mile advertised max operating range does not apply to you if you are towards the heavier end of the weight limit as I am and like to use the top speed and advanced drive mode level 3. Realistically, I am getting closer to 8-10 miles of range out of the scooter with some slight voltage sag the last two miles, dropping my top speed to 7-9 mph or so. I did run it completely dead for a test, which is indicated by a red final bar on the battery indicator of the display and some beeps are sounded from the scooter to let you know it is almost dead. I then kicked it home another hundred yards or so manually and found that to be tiresome, but doable. There are definitely faster and longer-range scooters out there with heavier weight limits, Unagi offerings being among them such as the Model One, E500, or new and highly anticipated Model 11, so look into those if you have longer commutes and fall into a heavier weight class than a middleweight. My feelings aren’t too hurt by this operating range I am getting as I know that this scooter was almost definitely tested with lighter weight riders to produce the advertised figures. This scooter is virtually silent as it cruises down the road. There is no whine of an electric motor or anything. It sounds as sleek as it looks. I also found that I really like the electric brake. It is incredibly consistent and even going full speed it slows the scooter down safely and non-jerkily. The rear wheel manual friction brake is not spectacular as it has no grooves or tackiness to the inside surface to help slow you down more efficiently. It also does not activate the blinking of the rear red light when you use the manual brake, so I have gotten used to knowing it is there only in case I need to use it in combination with the electric brakes for emergency stops. The ride on these airless, vented tires is consistent, albeit rough. I never have to worry about a flat tire, but these tires which are supposed to have a shock absorber effect with their air channels, are small and make sure to inform you of every bump, groove, crack, and inconsistency on the pavement. Anyone with knee, foot, joint, or back problems should avoid this scooter for long commutes as it yields a fatiguing, bumpy ride as you zoom along the miles. Having a good, bent knee, proper stance on this scooter is crucial as there is little to provide you relief in the way of impacts. Bren

My scooter tires were in need of replacement so I reached out to UNAGI. I was advised to send the scooter back because no other provider can change the tire(s) because the motor is in the tires. with that being said that only this company which I thought was strange. No dealer can work on these scooters. I complied and paid to send it back which cost me $50. I had to reach out the company numerous times inquiring about my scooter. I was finally informed that my scooter has "old parts". I bought the scooter in Dec 2020, not even two years and I only had 1500 miles on it. I was offered a refurbished scooter at an addition $500 of course I refused. My scooter is in operable condition so all I wanted was new tires. Since the unprofessional service I received, I filed a complaint with the BBB, and it is currently being reviewed. I received my scooter back today and my KICKSTAND is broken off completely. When I sent my scooter to this company, my kickstand was tack;. I've send an email to this company waiting on a reply. I love my scooter, but the service I was refused I will NEVER recommend anyone to purchase from this company. Please be careful before purchasing and make sure a local dealer is in you area. Because I refused to purchase a refurbished scooter I could not purchase new tires for my scooter (POOR CUSTOMERS SERVICE) The low rating is for CUSTOMER SERVICE NOT THE SCOOTERDISSATISFIED C.

As the world slowly re-opened its doors, considering how to get around the city left me feeling anxious about riding public transit. Biking was always an option, but not necessarily practical when you think about the work grind – having to carry changes of clothes, leaving it unattended all day, and all of the maintenance you're left to do on your own. Unagi just made sense to me when it came to stepping back into the world and where to invest my money. Investing in an Unagi scooter was the best move. It checked all the boxes. The foldable stem makes it easy to store in the office and at home, so I never have to leave it locked outdoors for extended periods of time. When I do need to lock it up, it easily works with most U-locks. On the rare occasion I do forget my lock, it's just light enough to carry around a store without being a nuisance. What I really love is how little maintenance is involved. The solid tires mean I don't have to worry about filling them up with air or getting a flat. Last but not least, the power and battery life are very impressive. Even a year later it still has a very reliable charge life. You'll probably need to have the battery and tires replaced after a year's time. But they make that easy, too. You just send it in (with shipping materials they send you at no cost) and they do what needs to be done and send it back. I love this scooter and if you're looking for a well-rounded machine that exceeds expectations, you found it.Michael K.
