Hell yes. I have had KP (“chicken skin”) on my upper arms my whole life. This lotion has diminished the bumps so much. I use it on my upper arms a couple times a week and I’ve also started using it on my thighs to helps with bumps there. I added this lotion to a KP-treatment regime of clinical strength glycolic acid wipes, emollient lotion, and vitamin c oil. I think the Cerave is really doing all the heavy lifting. When short sleeve weather returns I will add SPF to that routine because this has SA as the active ingredient. Prior to trying Cerave SA lotion I tried a similar Paula’s Choice lotion. I originally purchased the cream, which was so greasy and sticky that every time I got near my dogs, I'd have fur stuck to my face. I thought the lotion would soak in better. It does, a little, but it still leaves my face feeling wet all day. I use mineral makeup, so I definitely can't put it on over this lotion, no matter how long I wait. So, I just use it on days where I don't leave the house. It definitely moisturizes, has no strong scent, and I feel like I have seen an improvement in my skin. I just wish it would soak in. I really liked this lotion but there were some catches for me. This lotion started to irritate my skin a lot and purge a little too harshly. It could be the way my skin is but I do get a little irritated from this. I wouldn’t say it’s unbearable though. It’s tricky how I feel because initially I feel hydrated and I know I’m getting exfoliating benefits but if I use it everyday it dries my skin way too much so i’d have to alternate with a different moisturizer which means another moisturizer to buy and have on hand. I feel they could’ve done better with this one, however, there’s no way it’s the worst out there or even close to being bad. Still has a nice texture, good ingredients, and ceramides. At first glance this seemed like it would be an exciting skincare option. The packaging is elegant, and the treatment goes on smooth with no irritation and a light scent. Unfortunately when it said resurfacing I was expecting a J Lo glow, not changing from my normal skin to a teen breakout nightmare. I was fine for 2 days, and then broke out into a ton of tiny whiteheads. I love serums and resurfacers, I’m a skincare kind of chick. This is an AHA/BHA serum, so you get the best of both. It’s thin, lightweight and a little goes a long way, you don’t need a lot, and you actually get a lot of product in the bottle. I was skeptical at first. I have oily/combination and acne prone skin. I can’t use serums, have sensitive skin and I’m allergic to benzoyl peroxide. As someone who is an avid skin care person I was excited to try this because I'm a huge fan of the brand. Because my skin is sensitive it's important that I look at the ingredients. Well, the second ingredient is propylene glycol. There's never a reason to have THAT much in a skin care product. Anyway, I saw glycolic acid was relatively high on the list which is good! But I still needed to know how much. The vast majority of brands will say what percentage of glycolic acid is in their product because it's important to know, especially if someone has sensitive skin. Well the email I received back said that they can't tell me because it's "proprietary" information. Um… what? It's not like it's a secret ingredient or I'm gonna go buy glycolic acid, get a chemistry degree, and then make it on my own! Why is it such a secret? If there's a decent amount then why not boast about it? My guess is there's barely enough to do much which is why you would need to use it twice a day along with the matching cleanser in order for it to do anything at all. This leads me to believe that the product simply isn't worth it. If a brand won't disclose a percentage of an ingredient that literally peels your skin off then stay away. Stay far, far away. Believe me. Your skin will thank you. No more of this brand for me. It's not worth the risk.
I've been incorporating Mario Badescu's Glycolic Acid Cleanser for all skin types for well over a decade or so now because the formula works. Although it has fragrance and dyes, if used correctly I recommend this product to someone who has excess sebum production. I do not recommend using this product every day or along with a strong retinoid/tretinoin. I use it once a week unless I have irritated skin or a break out situation that is inflamed. The directions do warn people about this on the bottle, which I do appreciate. I do not mind fragrance and dyes in a cleanser so long as they're going to be rinsed off directly after. If your skin is sensitive to fragrance, I would not recommend this particular cleanser. It does cost near $20, but it lasts about a year so I feel the product is well worth the price. My skin loves having a chemical exfoliant once in a while or once a week since my skin is dry currently and acne-prone. I don't get a tight feeling after using this so long as I follow up with a the Glycolic Acid Toner. Remember SPF when using these products, always do a patch test, don't neglect your neck, and rub your skin in a circular motion when cleansing. Just not for everyday use!! Follow directions on bottle for THIS product and then you will get the full benefit! I LOVE this stuff💖🤩 (As you can see in my MB toner collection photo😅 lol.) I’ve been using this toner for 4+ years and it has definitely become a necessary staple in my skin care regimen! I have always had a bit of facial redness (off and on) on my face and few things help to get the #redness away. THIS IS ONE of them! This toner helps to relieve redness, improve clarity, improve skin tone, and slightly improve my overall skin texture. I know that the #MarioBadescu brand gets a really BAD rap for being overly fragranced, artificial coloring, and unnecessary additives, but I’m 100% convinced that this toner WORKS✅ I’m semi-sensitive to strong fragrances and this scent doesn’t bother me. It reminds me of the smell of something “clean”. My skin goes back and forth from being CLEAR to light/light+ acne and every time I have achieved #CLEARSKIN this toner was part of my regular regimen. The first time I used this I didn’t like it because I used too much which made it pill up and made my face worse. Then my friend told me about The certain acids that my face needs to get rid of my dark blemishes and this had everything. So I decided to give it a try one last time and I’m super glad I did! This time I used A tiny bit enough for my entire face but kept it a very thin layer. And I mean super thin just enough to make your face sticky. When I woke up the next morning I couldn’t believe the results and I’m very glad I didn’t get rid of it! My entire face is brighter even my darkest dark spots were light that I was dreading!!!!! So keep this in mind when using the product. A little goes a long way and it’s better to be on the safe side then putting too much. Because when I started using this product I put too much because I thought I could use a extra boost. That’s not how it works. This is perfect for those who use peels or acid products. It may also be good for those who don't, just start out slow with it and go down to every other night or a few times a week if it's too strong. For me, it's the perfect every night finishing touch. Even if I mix it with my moisturizor and toss it on over my toner, essence and serum, it leaves my skin so smooth and soft. It can have a slight tingle, which I happen to look for in a product like this. If that bothers you, mix it with moisturizor and you should be fine. Ive really been enjoying using this. I already loved this brand before trying this so I was really looking forward to testing this out when I saw it. It does have a smell, which I actually really like, I could see some people not liking it, if you're sensitive to smells or don't like strong scented stuff on your face you may want to pass on this one. I like the texture of it and since I use it at night before bed, I can't say whether makeup goes on over it well or not but this is meant more for a before bedtime overnight treatment and not to be worn under other products. It can be a little sticky but if you throw a moisturizor over it the stickiness goes away. I'd definitely recommend this product. I can't say how well it works for lines and dark spots as those things take consistency to see results and I haven't used it long enough yet, but I do have high hopes for it. The packaging of this product is Grade A+++ and the custard like texture and scent are both really awesome for an acid treatment. It literally smells like lemon meringue. It comes in a thick glass pump bottle in which the pump can easily be turned on or off; this is so refreshing and great for travel purposes (or to keep the kids out). It has a super creamy consistency once applied to the skin becomes more velvety and surprisingly absorbs fairly quickly. I have noticed a slight stickiness to my face after use, but I may be over using the product. I have applied it to my face every few nights a week immediately after using my LumiSpa to get a deep thorough cleanse prior to use. I have not seen any drastic results from this product. I’m sure it works on certain skin types, but for my skin it just hasn’t done what it claims to; however, they only studied 36 women to get said claims. I think this is more of a long term use product that will show results after a longer more consistent pattern of use. I will warn to heed the sun warning, and make sure to not only stay out of the sun, but to make sure you have washed it completely off the face before going into the sun. I had my face feel like it was on fire one morning after I first started to use this product and had hand washed my face instead of using my LumiSpa, and my face felt like it was literally on fire when the morning sun hit it. So please read the label well, and wash off very well!!! Overall, I am not underwhelmed nor overwhelmed with this product. So sad- Not the same formula-They have changed it- New formula does not work. I have bought Reviva glycolic acid 5% & 10% for years from Vitacost and loved their products-However this new formula does not work anymore- it just sits on your face with no exfoliation properties what so ever. I also noticed many negative reviews on Amazon in reference to Reviva changing the formula. Unfortunately I will be throwing out this brand new jar- as it is useless and try to find another product- if Reviva ever goes back to old formula I will definitely buy it again- it used to work fabulously.Christine

I bought this product since Salicylic acid was out of stock a long time. I was recommended this product by an employee in The Ordinary store in London as a substitute for SA. It didn’t work as well for my deep congestion. It brightens the complexion but that’s where the benefits end. I don’t think this product is very beneficial for people with oily or combination skin. Happy to finally got Salicylic acid in stock now. I actually learned later on that BHAs – like Salicylic acid are for deep congestion and AHAs – like lactic acid are for more gentle form of exfoliation, which the employee obviously weren’t aware off. I think this product could be great chemical exfoliant for people with sensitive skin tho.Colette

Bought this a while ago when I had a lot of active breakouts and delayed using until they started to clear. Used this only a few times and have already seen a difference — used in the shower before a gentle cleanser, figured I'd rinse off until my skin builds tolerance as went straight for the 10% serum. My face has been purging slightly but so far with no irritation which is good, just tiny tiny whiteheads. After a 10hr waitressing shift in a heatwave I really needed an exfoliation, this has worked perfectly! My face feels so smooth and decongested, I have noticed my pores also look way smaller and general texture has improved as well (even for acne scarring). I've had dry-sensitive skin all my life but recently have been more towards combination, this has done a great job of evening that out without leaving my face feeling stripped and irritated. I have been using Niacinimide + Zn as my main serum so excited to see how the two mix when I'm able to not rise this off. Says to avoid using on broken skin like many other TO products, but I haven't (yet) experienced any ill effects of this other than stinging on application. Ii have suffered from acne all my life, and everywhere. Face, back, chest. It has ruined my self esteem and all that, tried everything from every level and all that. Like many who buy different products from newer brands with hope that this time something will work. Well I got an allergic reaction to something right when my skin had cleared up thanks to the overwhelming difference their HA was making on my face. And I ended up with not even pimples but welts on my face and back. It has been horrifying. I had just received this product in the mail and started to use. It is crazy how this thing is attacking the welts and dark spots. Within a few days despite those days being the days I work which usually worsens my skin conditions, my skin went back down to smooth. It is now attacking the scars left (I did try picking at these). Some skin around my mouth is peeling a little because I think I let too much out a few times. Then again the places it is peeling are the areas that are darker from the rest of my skin. It really saved me from weeks, maybe months of mental anguish, because in the past when this happens I then break out with regular pimples on top of that. I saw this starting up on my chin but continued to use this with the HA and spot treated the chin ones with an overnight mask and they have almost entirely gone back down. I recently added this to my skincare routine and WHOA. It was already good, but this INSTANTLY took it to a whole new level. Definitely my skin’s favorite AHA, my face absolutely loves this stuff. I switch it up sometimes, but typically, I use this after washing with Tatcha soft rice wash & Farmacy BHA toner, then follow with T.O. niacinamide, and T.O. retinol 2% with squalane mixed in with my Farmacy Honey Halo moisturizer (and/or SPF if I’m going outside that day). I’m so glad to have finally found the products that work for me and I couldn’t have done it without the lactic acid. *To be fair, I probably mix things that shouldn’t be mixed, but I consider my skin to be sensitive so I started with a really gentle routine and built up as I reacted well to everything.* I’m sooo incredibly grateful that The Ordinary offers such INCREDIBLE, pure, top-quality serums affordably and have such simple & aesthetically pleasing packaging. For reference, my skin is very pale/translucent and thin/stretchy from Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. I burn easily, don’t tan, and freckles I love. I have large pores & redness around my nose & cheeks, some shiny areas and some very dull. I had horrible cystic hormonal acne from PCOS as a teenager; with medication, the scars are still fading and I still get mild breakouts occasionally (usually patches of little bumps that don’t last very long). All of the above have approved in the last few months since starting my routine and now my pores are practically nonexistent thanks to the lactic acid. I’ move been using this product for almost a year now, and it’s one of my favorite skin care products on the market. Typically, my skin is labeled as sensitive, which is seen as a no-go for using this product, but I gave it a chance and have absolutely loved it. If your skin is like mine, I highly recommend this product. I have picky skin – it’s not necessarily acne prone, but I do get hormonal acne. I have a sensitivity to fragrances, but not all fragrances such as vanilla or camamille. I also have eczema, mainly on my hands, that reacts badly to frequent hand washing, a lot of different lotions, and when I eat a lot of sugar or spicy food. My facial skin will also have an eczema like reaction to similar situations. Even “sensitive skin” lotions or moisturizes make my skin break out in eczema. I think the glycolic acid works will with my skin, mostly because it’s a humectant. It draws moisture in and locks it’s in. I don’t even have to use a daily moisturizer on top of the toner because my skin is so moisturized after using the product, Secondarily, I think this product works because of the exfoliant/antibacterial aspect of the formula. For the same reason that glycolic acid works as a deodorant, this product helps reduce bad bacteria from my skin and clears oils and bacteria buildup. My skin becomes less textured, my pores become less visible, my skin is moisturized, and scarring is less noticeable. This product will forever be in my rotation. + I also use it as a deodorant, and can confirm 100% that it works. I am reviewing this for use on KP also known as chicken skin on my arms and legs. I also took before and after pictures to compare. I am also in my mid 30s and am rarely outside for reference. I tested this on my arm for 1 week without using lotion or any other products on my skin (except for soap obviously). Within a day or two I was already seeing skin redness fading and my skin looked less rough. The roughness was obviously helped because it's an acid. 7 days in I started applying lotion as well. I used Cerave lotion formulated for rough and KP skin. My final results are that this acid is absolutely a wonderful product for KP and used along with lotion and body oils could absolutely decrease KP by a lot. It is a great price for a product that can really help your skin be smoother, less red, and softer. My KP actually shifted from just on my upper arms and thighs to my forearms and calves a few years ago and no amount of lotion of exfoliation has helped my skin be smoother. With this acid, I feel like I recognize my own arm again! Redness is cut down to a third of what it was! Roughness is half of what it was! And this is after only a week of daily use! I will definitely by using this daily and buying more. As a warning, I did notice that you have to take the warning about being out in the sun seriously. On day 3 I was outside for about 15 minutes and that night when I applied the acid, my skin turned bright red and tingled quite a bit.Ali
I saw clear changes after just 2 weeks of use. The toner visibly reduced hyperpigmentation I have on my body and smoothed texture. Literally after 2 weeks of use, I saw some hyperpigmentation marks disappear completely and this one big elevated scar is now level with the rest of my skin in that area. I patch tested it twice before starting to use it. I only use the toner twice a week (and not on consecutive days). I also noticed that applying a physical exfoliant while showering (which I already do) speeds up the lightening/fading (of course I do not apply a physical exfoliant on broken skin/open scars). The toner is sticky upon application and can take a while (15-30min) to dry/absorb into the skin. Once it does absorb into the skin, the skin is left with a beautiful glow, which resembles a body highlighter without the visible glitter particles/sparkles. Do not use anywhere near broken skin/open scars/open wounds/acne. The toner smells like ginseng and berries (makes sense as ginseng and Tasmanian pepperberry are among the ingredients) for an hour or so before fading. It's a beautiful smell and I would love to check out perfumes that smell like the toner. Unfortunately, after using it for more than 4 months, I've noticed that the toner's effectiveness at lightening hyperpigmentation is decreasing. This decrease in effectiveness could be due to my skin growing insensitive/accustomed to the product and/or due to the intensity of my hyperpigmentation (very dark and been there for a while). This is certainly overpriced for what it is, but it’s worth it if you wait for a sale. There are cheaper OTC azelaic acid products but they just aren’t formulated as nicely as this. Every once in a while, I’ll find a little granule in this cream, but it’s otherwise quite smooth and emollient. I would caution that it’s easy to overapply because of how creamy and lovely it feels. I have very sensitive and dry skin, and this doesn’t dry me out! My skin does flush sometimes after application. I find the flushing is worse if I go right in with an occlusive layer on top — perhaps the occlusive layer traps a bit of heat? I apply this at night after lightweight essence or serum, then I wait a half hour or so. Then I follow up with a richer cream to lock it all in. Works beautifully for me! Time will tell if it helps with hyperpigmentation, but so far no adverse reactions.Christa

I have normal/combo skin that's prone to breakouts so because of that I have several dark spots from previous breakouts as well as some dullness, fine lines and enlarged pores. I was pleasantly surprised by the texture of the product as it is a nice thick cream that spreads over skin in a silky smooth layer. It makes it really nice for using on its own as well as mixed with moisturizer. I've used this both ways depending on which skincare products I'm using for the day and I've found it to work well regardless of how I choose to apply it. There's no discernible scent and despite being quite thick it doesn't go on heavy. After two weeks on consistent use most of my dark spots have faded to the point that they're not very noticeable and my texture has evened out considerably. Y’all I’m not going to lie: I adore Glow Recipe, but the old version of this did need an upgrade. And I’m happy to say: they delivered with this product! The consistency is shockingly similar to the former generation. It’s still lightweight and having a feel most similar to a Korean Sleeping Mask. However, it applies a bit more smoothly and is not as prone to pilling as before. Definitely a texture upgrade! I was SO surprised that this stings less than the old version!! Initially, I found myself questioning whether this meant a downgrade in terms of efficacy; however, according to Glow Recipe’s instagram, it’s actually more powerful? They claim this new version has 2.5% pH-balanced AHA, which is supposedly as strong as 10% glycolic acid (whaaaat) I doubted this – because I’m a skeptic at heart – but lo and behold, I found myself purging within days. Heads up that this formula increases turnover, so know that could happen (the ol’ “skin getting worse before it gets better”). Frankly, while this may seem frustrating, it really is a sign of a strong formula. Within a few more days, my skin cleared and is looking clear and bright – all without the product stinging!! I was excited to have the opportunity to try this new launch of the new Watermelon Glow that replaced the old nught mask. Now I hadent had the pleasure to try the OG Mask that everyone loves so i cannot give you a comparison between the two. But with that said I can give you my thoughts on this gem. For the small amount of time I have used it I have loved it. It absorbs beautifully and works so well into my routine. It doesnt reallt smell like Watermelon like i wish it would but thats fine. The nights i use it i wake up with a beautiful glow! It really does boost your glow over night. As far as the other great benefits i will have to do an update review on the long term use of it. I love that the consistency is a little on the gel side, to me it helps thr product to go further, with only needing a little bit for your application. I've been alternating this at night with retinol. My skin feels very soft and smooth when I wake up. I haven't noticed any other effects on my skin but it's only been a week. The packaging is super cute and honestly one of my reasons for purchasing. I have a feeling this might be too gentle for my skin but happy to finish the tube and be proven wrong. Naturism is by far my favorite brand of beauty products that is animal-friendly and natural, while not losing its cost effectiveness or results. Their serums are the only ones I’ve tried that don’t pill. Anyways, I just recently bought the azelaic acid emulsion after I had a dermatologist tell me that really the only way to get rid of my rosacea redness was laser therapy (I have vascular rosacea). Definitely not in my budget, so I did some reading and a discovered azelaic acid. It is difficult to find a product that has it that is not insanely expensive, but voila, naturium does! It is also an incredibly smooth and light product. And it works! My redness isn’t gone, but it’s less and my skin is brighter after only a WEEK of every other day use. And, I look less red after hot yoga so I have hope for the future (tired of being the only one walking out of the class looking like a tomato). TL;DR: Are you a pale face like me with tomato cheeks? I have acne prone, combination, dehydration prone skin and it's difficult to find an azelaic acid product that didn't feel powdery and make my skin feel tight (looking at you The Ordinary….). This is a really great formulation. It goes on like a light lotion and dries to dewy skin. For some people I could see this being used as a lotion, but for me I have to use it in addition to a moiturizer. I've also used this with salicylic acid, vitamin C, retinol and glycolic acid with no issue, though I will say you'll want to start slowly. The first few times it made my skin tingle (common for azelaic acid), but now it doesn't tingle much. I've bought this product twice and will continue to buy. It's definitely helped boost the effectiveness of all over my other actives and is what I need to really help my acne break out less and heal faster. My rosacea has also been calmed and dark marks are slowly going away, though with all my other actives it might not be as stark on its own. If you're an acne sufferer like I am and all the typical go to's aren't cutting it, this might be worth adding to compliment your routine.Alyssa
I use several Naturium actives and I have never had any problems with them. I also use there other Azelaic acid 10% serum and I have never had any problems. However, from the first day I used this emulsion I notice a slight stinging reaction to it when I applied to my face and neck. The reaction was mostly on my neck so I decided to keep trying the product, but limit the application to my face only. As a few days went by I noticed that with each application my neck became more irritated, red and itchy even though I was not applying the product to that area. I sadly had to end the use of this product. Since I have never had any issues with my other Naturium products, I have never needed to return an item. I was surprised and disappointed to find out that Naturium does not provide a simple return option like most of their competitors. If a product doesn’t work for you, you pretty much have to pay to return it or keep a product you cannot use. That sucks! I really want to send it back and repurchase the Azalaic acid serum, but I don’t feel like it’s fair for me to pay to ship it back when it does not work for my skin and I have already paid to ship it here. I actually ended up with this serum because Yeouth accidentally sent it to me instead of the Retinol serum I had ordered. I messaged Yeouth not only did they immediately send out the Retinol Serum, they let me keep the Hyaluronic Acid Serum. Great customer service!! But really, I’m so thankful they sent me the wrong one!! If they hadn’t, I would have never tried this one!! I use a few different serums regularly but this is definitely one of my favorites!! Anytime my skin is super dehydrated dry, I put this on at night it definitely helps hydrate my skin get rid of the dry patches quicker. I feel like I am taking crazy pills! Most of the reviewers for this product say it made their skin smooth and clear and bright, and very quickly, too. I had the opposite experience. I've been using it for three weeks and see no positive changes in my skin. It stings a little when I apply it, and dries to a sticky/tacky feeling on my skin. It has caused redness, irritation, and pimples. I've tried using less of it, but wanted to use it regularly for three weeks to give it enough time to work in case my skin was just purging or acclimating to the new product. Well, it's caused tiny little bumps to break out wherever I use it, and none of my dark spots or fine lines look any different. My skin looks worse than when I started using it.DemureNinja
I'm loving this product so far! Its one of my new favorite and will be part of my face routine. I have been using this serum for at least three weeks now and results have been really amazing. My face feels a lot smoother, lighter and more glowing. My sunspots/darkspots are a lot lighter and my skintone is a lot more even. I notice a little improvement on my wrinkles. I use the serum day and night and also incorporate another moisturer cream from Loreal and results are great. The serum feels smoth and tacky at the same time when applying it to my face and I also feel a little tingle. It takes about a minute or two to dry. I love this serum because i think its affordable and I can easily find it at local grocery stores. This product works great on my skin, may not work on others, we all have different skin types and may react differently on others. Overall its a win for me. I am so happy that I started using the L'Oreal Paris revitalift derm intensives. I love how this serum feels on my skin. It absorbs very quickly and I really love that it helps even skin tone and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. The ingredients of this product is insane it has 10% pure glycolic acid which helps with skin concerns I also like that it has aloe to Sooth the skin especially after being all day in the Sun applying this at night just feel so cooling and refreshing. I keep my serum in the refrigerator so it always feels really good at the end of the day. I also really like that it doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy. This exfoliant helps me fight against milia. Moreover, it helps clear pores, smooth fine wrinkles, and improve skin tone. I apply it at night and wash my face in the morning. The scent is not very pleasant, but it fades away after a while. I would suggest applying it 30m before going to bed so your pillowcase won't get dirty. It doesn't irritate my skin nor dries it out. Hence, I even don't apply moisturizer after it. I use it twice or once a week depending on how oily my skin is. Also, I like to use it when I have breakouts around my chin. Dr. Dray recommendation! *****UPDATE***** I wish that i had a before photo of my acne scars But for now here’s a photo of how my acne scars started to fade (i had a very painful hormonal acne as you can see and tell its heeling and there’s no bumps anymore)☺️ I use this twice a week at night + I wear sunscreen on the day . Highly recommended for sure! The skin feels so smooth after this!! When you first apply it you will feel a slight tingly feeling because of the high percentage of the aha , i do recommend to apply a good thick moisturizer after the serum. Ok. So I had two really bad scars from my belly button piercing that I took out many years ago. I'm 2017 I got scar removal surgery and it did nothing basically besides make my it a tiny bit less noticeable. Last year I spent over $1,000 on fraxel laser to remove it.. once again this helped the appearance slightly. However my scars were still dark and noticeable. I tried every scar removal gel and even one from a surgeons office, but nothing really helped. I finally decided to purchase this not thinking it would do anything. Iv only been using this gel for maybe 2/3 weeks so far and MY SCARS ARE THE SAME COLOR AS MY SKIN. I have no idea what is in this product but the results are crazy.
