This serum is fantastic! It absorbs quickly and very light. I have used it for nearly two months and my face is hydrated, smooth, and my pores seem smaller. A little goes a long way. I have stopped using expensive youth serums because of this product. I use it morning/night on clean skin. In the morning I use a tinted spf moisturizer over it and my make-up applies smooth. Five out of the six facial products I use are CeraVe. I've been using this product for about a month now. When I was first looking for an Hyaluronic product, I of course looked to CeraVe first. I was disappointed that I couldn't find the percentage of Hyaluronic Acid on the package or anywhere. I looked under the questions section on Amazon and everyone said that CeraVe doesn't give out proprietary ingredient info. I can understand that, however, I don't think the main ingredient, in this case Hyaluronic acid, to be part of a proprietary blend and inhibits consumers from making informed decisions about what products they are buying. Other companies list the amount of it on their labels….this has left a bad taste in my mouth and now I'm questioning my continued use of CeraVe products. L'Oréal Revitalift has no problem stating their percentage..1.5% Pure Hyaluronic Acid. I will stop using the CeraVe and purchase the Revitalift, since I know what I'm am purchasing. Maybe CeraVe has a higer concentration, but since I don't know, I'll have to go with what I do know. Here's what worked for me. At night, wash face, apply exfoliant/toner. Let that dry down completely. Mist face with water (I use a simple blue glass bottle with a pump spray top–got it off Amazon. Only mist lightly.). Then apply two pumps of the HA serum. Let that dry down thoroughly before adding the night cream. (It seems like using minimal product–just 2 pumps–also helped combat pilling. I like this. It lessened the pilling, and the bottle lasted longer.) YMMV, but letting ALL of the products dry down and settle in, plus lightly misting with water, AND only applying 2 pumps helped me with the pilling. So did using the serum at night vs. daytime. I'm very happy with the results from the serum. 50 y/o, slightly oily complexion, some dry spots, tend to get clogged pores; tried this serum to stop looking like a ghoul during Zoom meetings. I'm very happy with the results, and will continue to use this one. So I didn't use this treatment every night. I ended up making it an every-other-night or every-two-nights routine. It's very smooth and easy to rub into your skin. It says it takes 8 weeks to see results (brighter skin, reduced signs of aging), and since I haven't had this product for 2 months yet, I can't say that I notice any difference in my skin. Any time I see that a product contains acid (this one has hyaluronic and glycolic acids), I get a little nervous as to how my sensitive skin will react. But with this product, it's surprisingly hydrating, and I haven't had any issues with dry skin. My sensitive skin also likes this doesn't contain any parabens or synthetic fragrance. I absolutely love this brand and the products. The toner is very moisturizing and my skin feels very clean after I wash with a cleaner. I love that includes hydraulic acid and niacinamide. I feel like I'm getting more bang for my buck. The nightly exfoliating treatment also has a great ingredient list. I love that it is stay-on product. It does not start my skin and my skin does not feel dry in the morning. Lastly, the make up wipes are my absolutely favorite. Surprised this doesn’t have a higher rating. For me it’s been a real game changer. I ordered this on a whim and thought it would be more of a cleanser that you wash off, but was surprised to realize that you leave it on like a lotion. At first I was worried that leaving it on the skin would be damaging, but it didn’t irritate my skin in the least. I do use a lotion with it as it’s not moisturizing by itself. But honestly this has been an unexpected game changer for me. It truly does exfoliate better than anything else I’ve tried, and I’ve tried a lot of things. I’ve always had a terrible problem with flaky dead skin on my face that doesn’t fall off on its own. I was having to use multiple tools to exfoliate the dead skin on my face on a daily basis. Since I have been using this I rarely have to manually exfoliate. Which is such a blessing as my skincare routine time has been cut back considerably and makeup goes on so much smoother. I use this product about 5 or 4 times a week. Sometimes under my lotion, sometimes on top depending on how many times I wash my face that day. I just never put it on if I know I’m going to be leaving the house as it can make your skin more sensitive to the sun. I don’t know if this will work for everyone but it truly has helped my dead skin problem tremendously and it has made my skin smoother and helped minimize fine lines a little. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this. I jumped right into using it nightly, though I did find it could be very drying so after a week I did cut back to every other night just to give my skin a break. When the serum is placed in tingles a little but is not at all painful and the tingling stops quickly with drying. I found this product to be very easy to incorporate into my nightly routine. I wash my face, rub the serum on my face, I would let it set while I change clothes and brush my teeth, by the time I finished the serum would be dry and I would moisturize. After using the serum at night and then placing the moisturizer my skin felt taut and firm like I had used an astringent. However, after washing my face in the morning and placing my day moisturizer I could really feel how soft my skin was. My skin has an issue with red spots remaining on my skin for a long time after blemishes creating chronic red spots especially in my T zone. I felt that after a week use these spots were lighter to the eye. I am very excited to see if they continue to lighten in the coming weeks of use. The softness of the skin was also impressive after just 4 uses. I was a little nervous to start a new product because I tend to get new blemishes with new products, however, so far, I have not had one blemish from this new product which makes me beyond happy. I recently purchased Bliss renew and smooth night serum and I'm glad I did. This night serum is for those who have oily, dry, combination or normal skin. This product works way different than I was expecting, in the most pleasant way! My face is uncharacteristically soft and supple after each use. And with the frequency of using 2-3 times a week as it suggests, my skin has kept an even glow and tone in-between days! I really truly wasn’t expecting that and I’m so glad I finally tried this product! All the credit goes to my “skin-guru” friend Rashauna. She’s been repping Farmacy for years. My skin was so soft and dewy that my fiancé even noticed and rubbed his face against mine. He complimented how soft my skin was without knowing I was using a new product! I notice the flushing of dead skin around day 2.5-3 after use. I do recommend some form of gentle exfoliant cleanser to pair with this product throughout the week – not like back to back, just in general, because you will be loosening dead skin cells with this product. That will keep the skin turn-over even and consistent. This product has reduced my skin redness. And even though it does tingle with use, it isn’t too intense for my sensitive skin. I’m using a combination of other anti aging products, so it’s not clear exactly if this product specifically is the reason my skin feels soft, hydrated and smooth. But I’ve had no issues using this product and I’m almost done the bottle. I did not have any redness or irritation, but I also have normal skin type. I started off using it twice a week as instructed by a Sephora employee. Then slowly to every night as tolerated and have had no issues. Ever since I started using it, I’ve noticed I’m getting significantly less breakouts and my skin doesn’t get oily during the day anymore. I used to break out easily but now I’ve fully developed normal skin for the first time in my life! I’m in my late 20s for reference. The scent is not strong so I was surprised when I saw some reviews saying the smell is horrible. It also has a “clean green” stamp which is very important to me. I picked up this product along with Cereve Resurfacing Retinol Serum at ulta. I actually got it for a friend with thinning skin that's prone to scabbing. After two days of using this on my face even my hands began to heal, from painful splitting due to dry skin. My face has had open wounds, they began at the end of my lips. They hadn't healed completely in almost a year. This was after applying triple antibiotic cream all day! I really can't tell what it's done to my normal skin tissue but it's cleared up my splitting, cracking painful skin issues. Even with blood transfusions nothing helped completely heal my lips or fingertips. I was sleeping in medicated Band-Aids and nothing. For the first time in almost a year I can touch my lips without it hurting. I do realize that if I discontinue usage my skin will probably start splitting again but I'm not spending hundreds of dollars either. I would recommend this to everyone, but if you have skin issues you have nothing to lose at least trying this product.grace.k
I accidentally got this thinking it’s a face cream. Apparently, most people use this on their body. However, I was in need for facial moisturizer and I had hopes for the ingredients in this cream to work on my acne, so I tried it on my face. I’ve only tried it for a day, but the cream is kinda in a solid form, unlike the lotion version. But it does melt on the skin and goes on rather smoothly. It does have somewhat oily feeling on the skin, but I can feel that it’s keeping moisture in my skin. The next day, I woke up with even toned skin, which made me happy as I have sensitive reddish skin. I hope it continues to work and not cause breakout. So glad I tried this product! My dermatologist recommended CeraVe daytime moisturizer for my skin after I got skin cancer since it has SPF in it and I fell in love with the daytime cream. I decided to try this body moisturizer as a cure for these weird bumps I get on my chest. I have tried everything for YEARS to get rid of these bumps but nothing really worked. I have been using this product for 1 week and the bumps are gone! I still see 1-2 but compared to the 15 sometimes 20 little whitehead looking bumps I would get, I am so grateful! I also got the PM cream and face wash and have noticed a complete difference in my face as well. It’s important to mention I live in Florida so the climate is extremely humid which may contribute to my oily skin but cerave helps to control the oil without drying out my skin in all of the products I’ve used! This stuff is pretty serious. It gently exfoliates (chemically) because it’s 15% lactic acid. The thing is, I peeled, a LOT, for a while after first trying this. But my skin was super soft and less congested after that period. It felt firmer too. I would patch test, then slowly introduce it into your body care routine. And make sure you wear sunscreen if you use chemical exfoliants! I wouldn’t use this on your face, but I use it on my body, including hands and feet, and it’s really helped my reactive, dry skin. I’m not completely sure how this compares to the slightly different version in the pump bottle (I use both). I’ve heard complaints about the smell, but to me it smells like paint mixed with cake batter (lol) which I don’t mind, and it fades after you put it on. It’s a bit pricy, but for me it’s worth it. Holy crap. This stuff works for me when nothing else ever has. I have very sensitive skin, and a couple years ago I started breaking out a lot from stress and, well… left some scars. My forehead was bumpy and congested looking. I tried dozens of different skincare products to try and fade the scar pigmentation and clear up my forehead, but EVERYTHING would either make me break out more, or make my skin dry, or just any number of bad things. I haven't even found a moisturizer I can use daily because they all break me out. Lately I've just been using some very mild products every few days, not really making much progress but better than nothing… I still get cystic acne occasionally that leaves hyperpigmentation and just sets me back again. I got this lactic acid on recommendation for improving skin texture. I've only used it maybe a week or two, applying nightly and washing my face in the morning. My forehead bumps are… gone. Routine: I wash my face once a day, in the evening. Pre cleanser: Albolene, wipe before washing face Face wash: Cerave Foaming Facial Cleanser Serum: THIS!! Next, I tried their AHA peel (the beet colored one) and that would break me out for two days following use. I had a problem with fine lines, dry skin that wouldn't seem to leave, and therefore I couldn't seem to absorb my moisturizers– because the dead skin was blocking it. When I tried this product, I saw a difference overnight. That has never happened to me before, but now I am glad to say I have a routine that is simple, and effective. My pores appear smaller, my smile lines have been erased, and my makeup looks better than ever, since I no longer have a layer of dead skin. I don't usually leave reviews for products, but I would recommend this to ANYONE who is struggling with dry skin that is stubborn to exfoliate. HOW I USE: After washing my face at night, I let my skin air dry. I wash my hands, put a whole dropper full of this product in the palm of my hand (more is more with this I have found) and I spread it around my whole face except my under-eye area. I will leave this on for five minutes, I feel that this helps it be more effective. After that, I moisturize and go to sleep. When I wake up, I rinse and apply my spf lotion. THIS IS IMPORTANT. I bought this product since Salicylic acid was out of stock a long time. I was recommended this product by an employee in The Ordinary store in London as a substitute for SA. It didn’t work as well for my deep congestion. It brightens the complexion but that’s where the benefits end. I don’t think this product is very beneficial for people with oily or combination skin. Happy to finally got Salicylic acid in stock now. I actually learned later on that BHAs – like Salicylic acid are for deep congestion and AHAs – like lactic acid are for more gentle form of exfoliation, which the employee obviously weren’t aware off. So, my skin LOVES lactic acid. I’ve used Amlactin body lotion religiously since my teens but until now, I had not found the perfect lactic acid formulation for my face. Well, this is it!!! This serum mixes & layers well with my nighttime moisturizer and other serums. The product is more of a thin lotion versus the watery consistency of other serums I use. It is hydrating and has not irritated my skin at all (although I don’t have sensitive skin and tolerate acids well). I’ve only used this for a few weeks so it’s hard to fully judge the resurfacing ability but I can tell I’ve had some textural improvements and my skin is so hydrated and glowy all the time now. I am still in my "trial phase" of the Biossance products… thank you, JVN for guiding me here. However, even for the very brief amount of time I've been using the Squalane + Lactic Acid Night Serum from my Overachievers Kit, I have seen impressive results. (By "brief", I mean a week.) I am cursed with milia, have been for years. They aren't obtrusive, but they can get to be a bit overwhelming when I look at myself in the mirror. One week, everyone… I've used the Squalane + Lactic Acid Serum for one week. And the milia are clearly leaving my face. The only ones that are left were the larger ones, and they are showing a 75% reduction from their former size. I expect that they will be gone in at least no more than another two weeks. My skin looks and feels so much softer and smoother, as well. There was a slight tingling the first couple of days I started using the product, however, that has diminished. I will not lie, this is an expensive product. I originally got the product in a bundle so I was able to check it out without the full price the first time around. I have acne scars and texture on my face. I don't apply this every night, so my results are not crazy but I have noticed a huge improvement with my skin when I do apply this product. My skin becomes much clearer and has helped get rid of any oncoming acne. However, I do find this product is a bit drying. I don't know much about skin care or what not but I believe that is just part of the products ingredients. You can easily counteract this with some moisturizer (I usually wear an overnight cream mask when I use this). Only other thing I have noticed with this product is to check if you are really empty when the pump does not work. Usually there is still some product left over. I just pull the top off and grab a q-tip or something to get what is left (this stuff is pricey so best not to waste any). This exfoliant helps me fight against milia. Moreover, it helps clear pores, smooth fine wrinkles, and improve skin tone. I apply it at night and wash my face in the morning. The scent is not very pleasant, but it fades away after a while. I would suggest applying it 30m before going to bed so your pillowcase won't get dirty. It doesn't irritate my skin nor dries it out. Hence, I even don't apply moisturizer after it. I use it twice or once a week depending on how oily my skin is. Also, I like to use it when I have breakouts around my chin. Ok. So I had two really bad scars from my belly button piercing that I took out many years ago. I'm 2017 I got scar removal surgery and it did nothing basically besides make my it a tiny bit less noticeable. Last year I spent over $1,000 on fraxel laser to remove it.. once again this helped the appearance slightly. However my scars were still dark and noticeable. I tried every scar removal gel and even one from a surgeons office, but nothing really helped. I finally decided to purchase this not thinking it would do anything. I have combo skin (oily t-zone and dry cheek area). Never normally have issues with reactions or allergies to products however this serum has really upset my skin. It has brought my face out in terrible texture that I’m struggling to repair; I normally have baby soft skin with a consistent skincare routine. Really disappointed in how this product has left my skin 🙁 I’m guessing it’s something to do with the fragrance aswell (which hasn’t happened before); the smell is so harsh! My headline says it all. I got the Super Serum trial size- 4 mL with one of my previous purchases. I've been using this serum for a week now since my regular Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum has run out. Pros: 1. Not sticky! I can't stand my face feeling tacky. (a reason why I usually use the sulwhasoo serum) 2. Hydrating – I use it right after my showers at night while my face is still damp but patted dry. It absorbs unlike the Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 I purchased late last year that pills on my face 3. I like the way it feels on my face – this point basically touches on both pts 1 and 2. Yes the second ingredient is Dimethicone which is a type of silicon which makes the formula feel good against the skin and helps to seal in the moisture onto the skin. (There are pros and cons of silicon – you just need to educate yourself) Cons: 1. The smell – DW it doesn't smell bad like hotdogs (like vitamin C serums). It just has this like herbal smell to it – I think it might be the witch hazel or the essential oils (see point 2 below). However, I enjoy the herbal smell of Sulwhasoo but this one isn't the same kind of herbal scent. 2. Contains essential oils (e.g., Flower oil, Lavendar Oil, Rosemary Leaf Oil) – TBH i like fragrance with my skincare products but I put this here for those whose skin is sensitive and would not benefit from it. This product absolutely works for me. I have tried so many different products in the past with not much difference to my skin. I put this on my face at night and my skin is smoother, more even and clear. I use other products during the day, but this has been the game changer for my skin and I would not be without it now. I use it for the glycolic acid and this one has 15 % before that I used the 10% one in this same range for 2years with great results. I thought it was time to start using the stronger one which I have been for 6months now. I'm 49 years old and my skin is looking better than it did even 5 years ago, all due to the glycolic acid in this product. I use it consistently and will always use it now. I bought this product a few months ago after my dermatologist recommended it. Wow! What a difference it made in one week. The bumpy bits I had accepted as a part of ageing are gone. A little goes a VERY long way with this product. If you think you can just squeeze a quarter sized amount into your hands and not feel like a butter ball for the next 30 minutes, you're dead wrong. The smell is not pleasant either. Feels like they went for use over fragrance, which is fantastic, but it would help if it didn't sit under my nose. The burning sensation I received from the other Neostrata products is present in this one as well. Go figure, an acid product burning. Not nearly as burning as the cleanser, but harsher than the serum. I still feel the need to use a regular moisturizer at the end of my routine because this lotion feels very sticky and heavy and I just don't feel like it's going to provide the moisture my super dry winter skin needs. This is the only product that really helps my dry skin. I first started using this when I had a lot of breakouts of small itchy bumps (somewhere between acne and eczema) on my face and within 2-3 weeks it cleared completely. At one point I stopped using this serum (I ran out) and within a week the bumps were back. I immediately ordered it again and luckily it cleared my skin again in a week; so I know for sure that this product works! Highly recommended if you suffer from similar issues. Overall it also helps to keep regular acne in check and has made my skin tone more even. My skin doesn’t do well with the overly praised “safe for everyone, even sensitive skin” hyaluronic acid or niacinamide. Meaning, I cannot use 90% of products on the market. But I desperately need hydration….. So, as a Hail Mary I tried The Ordinary B5 + Amino Acids; and I was pleasantly surprised by its effectiveness at such an affordable price. Extra points for glass packaging. I use this 1-2x daily as a 1st step on damp skin, layered under my tallow moisturizer. I got this with the EUK 134 a few years ago, and did a patch test on my arm. I washed a large spot on my arm, then applied the Amino Acids + B5, let it dry a bit, then put the EUK over the top. In the morning, not only did I like the improved texture and hydration, much to my surprise that area was noticeably brighter and had a more even skin tone! The Amino Acids + B5 is particularly appreciated because it can be used under pretty much anything. I can not use the various versions of the Buffet, or whatever they are calling it now, because it contains some ingredients that aren't for me. Yes, it is a wee bit sticky as others have mentioned, but I have found waiting a few seconds and putting something hydrating on top takes care of that. I tend to be allergic and sensitive to things, and I don't react to this – it seems to help keep my skin calm. I don't remember now how many bottles of this I have used. It's a go to. (As an aside to deciem – please do not put squalene/squalane in this – I can not use anything with that ingredient in it. I mention it as someone suggested they might prefer it in a squalane base. I’ move been using this product for almost a year now, and it’s one of my favorite skin care products on the market. Typically, my skin is labeled as sensitive, which is seen as a no-go for using this product, but I gave it a chance and have absolutely loved it. If your skin is like mine, I highly recommend this product. I have picky skin – it’s not necessarily acne prone, but I do get hormonal acne. I have a sensitivity to fragrances, but not all fragrances such as vanilla or camamille. I also have eczema, mainly on my hands, that reacts badly to frequent hand washing, a lot of different lotions, and when I eat a lot of sugar or spicy food. My facial skin will also have an eczema like reaction to similar situations. Even “sensitive skin” lotions or moisturizes make my skin break out in eczema. I think the glycolic acid works will with my skin, mostly because it’s a humectant. It draws moisture in and locks it’s in. I don’t even have to use a daily moisturizer on top of the toner because my skin is so moisturized after using the product, Secondarily, I think this product works because of the exfoliant/antibacterial aspect of the formula. For the same reason that glycolic acid works as a deodorant, this product helps reduce bad bacteria from my skin and clears oils and bacteria buildup. My skin becomes less textured, my pores become less visible, my skin is moisturized, and scarring is less noticeable. This product will forever be in my rotation. + I also use it as a deodorant, and can confirm 100% that it works. I’ve been out dancing and drinking and asked around to see if there was any noticeable odor, and the feedback was all that they couldn’t smell anything! I am reviewing this for use on KP also known as chicken skin on my arms and legs. I also took before and after pictures to compare. I am also in my mid 30s and am rarely outside for reference. I tested this on my arm for 1 week without using lotion or any other products on my skin (except for soap obviously). Within a day or two I was already seeing skin redness fading and my skin looked less rough. The roughness was obviously helped because it's an acid. 7 days in I started applying lotion as well. I used Cerave lotion formulated for rough and KP skin. My final results are that this acid is absolutely a wonderful product for KP and used along with lotion and body oils could absolutely decrease KP by a lot. It is a great price for a product that can really help your skin be smoother, less red, and softer. My KP actually shifted from just on my upper arms and thighs to my forearms and calves a few years ago and no amount of lotion of exfoliation has helped my skin be smoother. With this acid, I feel like I recognize my own arm again! Redness is cut down to a third of what it was! Roughness is half of what it was! And this is after only a week of daily use! I will definitely by using this daily and buying more. As a warning, I did notice that you have to take the warning about being out in the sun seriously. On day 3 I was outside for about 15 minutes and that night when I applied the acid, my skin turned bright red and tingled quite a bit.Ali
I saw clear changes after just 2 weeks of use. The toner visibly reduced hyperpigmentation I have on my body and smoothed texture. Literally after 2 weeks of use, I saw some hyperpigmentation marks disappear completely and this one big elevated scar is now level with the rest of my skin in that area. I patch tested it twice before starting to use it. I only use the toner twice a week (and not on consecutive days). I also noticed that applying a physical exfoliant while showering (which I already do) speeds up the lightening/fading (of course I do not apply a physical exfoliant on broken skin/open scars). The toner is sticky upon application and can take a while (15-30min) to dry/absorb into the skin. Once it does absorb into the skin, the skin is left with a beautiful glow, which resembles a body highlighter without the visible glitter particles/sparkles. Do not use anywhere near broken skin/open scars/open wounds/acne. The toner smells like ginseng and berries (makes sense as ginseng and Tasmanian pepperberry are among the ingredients) for an hour or so before fading. It's a beautiful smell and I would love to check out perfumes that smell like the toner. Unfortunately, after using it for more than 4 months, I've noticed that the toner's effectiveness at lightening hyperpigmentation is decreasing. This decrease in effectiveness could be due to my skin growing insensitive/accustomed to the product and/or due to the intensity of my hyperpigmentation (very dark and been there for a while). I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this product! I have combination/oily skin and do suffer from hormonal acne around especially my chin area. I can’t really speak for the one star reviews as this is simply an amazing product for an outstanding price. It could be the way they are applying (or misapplying) the product, could be skin allergies or sensitivities etc. and to that I say it is simply trial-and-error and finding out what works and what doesn’t. For me, when I find something that works well- I stick with it! I would really recommend at least giving this product a try, for this price it is a STEAL, I wouldn’t sleep on it. A few thousand five star reviews can’t all be wrong!
I have some fine lines and wrinkles, and after using this- it plumps those areas right up! No lie. My forehead wrinkles and fine lines practically vanish, and even deeper, more stubborn ones between my eyebrows fill out some! My skin just drinks this up. It is extremely thick and concentrated- a little bit of this goes a longggg way. I wouldn’t suggest just globbing or slathering this particular serum on.
It is very hydrating/plumping and the B5 helps immensely with irritation, so it is VERY nice to use on the same evenings that I have used products containing chemical exfoliants such as glycolic acids, AHA’s or BHA’s in general. It definitely calms my skin, and layering this serum with my AHA/BHA or retinols definitely prevents my skin from drying out or acting up afterwards, as those products can tend to be irritating.
How I use it at night: I first wash, exfoliate, gently pat my skin dry, and then tone my skin. The exfoliation and toning are a crucial step, and help to “prime” my skin to best absorb the serums and moisturizers to follow. I use a glycolic acid serum first, and allow it to dry down and absorb. Then, I apply a couple drops of this serum, again letting it dry down. Next, I apply Sunday Riley’s A+ High dose retinoid serum. Finally, I apply a small amount of a thick emollient cream (Like Farmacy’s Honey Halo). This product blends well with my other serums and creams and using it as a layer between my AHA’s and moisturizer keeps my skin from experiencing any intense side effects from the AHA’s.
During the daytime, under makeup this stuff is an excellent primer and has some grip. It also makes your skin look fabulously dewy and glowing. The key is to wash your face and tone. I have very sensitive skin and have to be careful with the products I use. I get the odd hormonal spot here and there, but the main issue I have is with dull and tired looking skin. Also now I’m in my late 20s, I’ve started seeing lines in my forehead and a change in my skin. I’ve been using this for a week now and can already see a difference. Email the ordinary with a photo of your skin and your problem areas and they send a breakdown of the best skincare routine for you! Every skincare routine should be tailored to your specific skin type, but for someone with combination sensitive skin, this has worked perfectly for me. If you have the same skin type, this may work for you. But would suggest emailing the ordinary as they’re the experts. I’ve been using the ordinary squalane cleanser. If I’m wearing makeup, I always double cleanse. Then I dab my face with a towel a few times, so my face is still damp. Next I use the ordinary Nianamide 10% + zinc. After that, I use the natural moisturising factors + Ha from the ordinary. At night I do the same thing, but put the ordinary retinol 1% in squaline after the niacinamide and before the natural moisturiser factors. I don’t use retinol in the day as it attracts UV rays. I made the mistake of cleansing in the shower then following this routine. My face went really blotchy, so have just been following my routine when I get out the shower and haven’t had any issues. Probably just me though as my skin is really sensitive. I was really nervous using so many products on my face as I’m used to just cleansing and moisturising. But for someone with sensitive skin, I’d highly recommend the ordinary products!Lilly
Ok, maybe it's not something I should'nt Do, but I use it around my eyes and around my mouth. I then use the caffeine one around my eyes and seal everything with a peptides eyes-mouth cream. I was a bit self-conscious about my hollow eyes and I was starting to develop fine lines around my lips (barely noticeable, but boy was I not ready for it at 37) and it really plumped everything up within 2 weeks of use which really surprised me. Also, the first time I used their products I would breakout like crazy even after a 6 Weeks period. Then I decided to vive it a second shot and again started to breakout. But then, stupid me realized I was also scrubbing my face really harshly with a washcloth when washing and that was obviously the cause. I don't breakout anymore and I should mention I have acne prone, very sensitive skin. At first, I also found it made my skin feel very tight and my fine lines worst, but thanks to some review, I now apply it to damp skin which is a game changer. And that less is more. A few drops is enough. The 4 stars instead of 5 is because I wish the company would provide more detailed instructions like the damp skin thing which I learned through review. Hi, my name is Diane and I have recently started using the Tree To Tub products on my face. I love them. First thing I tried was the um soap berry for your face. I washed my face with. It has a wonderful scent and wash it morning and evening and it just leaves my skin very moisturized. It's um very mild. And then after that I dry and I use this, it's called Ginseng Green Tea and it's a moisturizer. I love it. It has all their products have such a lovely light scent and I, you know, put it on my face and it just moisturizes my skin. I think it's making my, I have no makeup on right now. It's making my skin um just feel very moisturized and not quite as wrinkled and my pores are a little smaller. Then after the green tea I use uh the ginseng green tea hyaluronic toner. You just spritz it on a couple of times. It's, it just smells wonderful. I love it. And then the last product I use is the double hyaluronic hydration serum and they all go together and it just hydrates my skin very well. I never feel greasy or oily. I have tried several different vitamin C serums, and Obagi is really different from the other options out there. I have been using the Obagi 15% for about 6-7 months now. First, I can tell you the color is very, very pale yellow tinged. It also has a very distinct hint of orange scent. What makes it really different, is that I can actually feel it! I mix about 3 drops with 3-4 drops niacinamide serum and about 4 drops hyaluronic acid and squalane morning and night. After applying to clean skin, I notice a very light tingling sensation a few minutes later – nothing dramatic, just a very faint feel. But – that tells me it is doing it's job! The first time I used it, it seemed to instantly smooth my complexion and even the texture. After three days, my skin looked brighter overall and was extremely soft. After just over a week, my face was no longer oily and my dry patches (all but one area) disappeared. I have used this consistently. After having using it for over a month already, I hoped I would have seen at least a small difference, especially since I noticed the other changes so quickly. This is by far the best Vitamin C product I've ever used. My dull skin has become so radiant, bright, and so healthy looking. I use this every day before moisturizer and after cleansing. This is a freaking amazing product. I got this being like, yeah it would be nice to add a toner to my routine, and now I use this stuff for everything. For face: yes, it’s like a toner you splash on (you don’t use a cotton ball), and you feel a moment of acidic tingling so you know it’s working, and it lightly exfoliates through the night. I have wicked sensitive skin (borderline rosacea and broken capillaries at the slightest stress), and this ends up being vastly more gentle on my skin than a washcloth. My skin tone (redness and hyperpigmentation) is slowly improving, and I have a nice dewy glow. BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE…I learned that this is amazing for ingrown hairs on my legs, too! After I got pregnant I started getting ingrown hairs on my legs. Who knows why but it was super annoying. Acid potion cleared it all up and has prevented new ones from forming when I splash this on daily before lotion. So wow, big problem solved! You can splash this wherever to balance the pH of your skin and exfoliate. I think it’s even helping my c-section scar. So it’s basically 7 products in one, and I plan on using Acid Potion forever. This is something you may not even know you need, but you do! One thing to note: if you don’t use moisturizer after, it winds up feeling slightly sticky (like as if you swam in seawater). Loving this so far. I've used P50 in the past and was looking to reincorporate an acid toner into my routine but wanted something with cleaner ingredients. I regularly use a gentle acid based cleaner and do periodic glycolic peels, so my skin is used to acids. This was super gentle, no redness, no irritation, but I could tell it was exfoliating. Ok so this stuff is the tits. I have combo skin with adult acne (which is really just loitering teenage acne, and before that was prepubescent acne). I also have mild Perioral Dermatitis that I treat with an RX. On top of all this I’m a compulsive face picker any time I’m confronted with access to a magnifying mirror. All this to say- I don’t have naturally glowing, clear, porcelain or even marginally smooth skin. And it’s not like this acid potion magically made my skin any of those things- but what it DID do was make it a hell of a lot smoother. And brighter. And I suspect has helped deflate the occasional, budding “under the skin” biggo zits (if you know, you know). I use it every night, after witch hazel, before moisturizer, carefully avoiding my eyes and anywhere I’m having a dermatitis breakout. The morning after my skin feels wildly more smooth. It even helped manage my period acne, which is usually a wonderful merging of both cystic and widespread red acne. It’s pricey, but a little goes a long way. I’m hoping the company is here to stay because yes, I will absolutely purchase again once I run out. Oh and p.s. if any of you out there are also face pickers (if you know the joy of spending too long extracting black heads and pores too small for anyone else to notice) just know that after you’ve picked and popped, if you apply this stuff it’ll burn something crazy. I have incredibly incredibly oily skin. Like I just get slick by about halfway through the day. It's worse than anyone else I've met. Somehow this miracle product actually truly reduces my oil production? Literally even my hair near my face gets way less greasy, and I don't have to wash my hair every day now. I really never thought a product would improve this quality of my skin, I had given up hope. I bought this product to diminish the appearance of pores. I think it improved my skin texture, but can't quite say it made my pores appear smaller / less clogged to be honest. However I will absolutely be keeping it around for the reduction in oiliness. I think I also had some purging at the beginning as I had some strange, very under the skin pimples my first week or so of using this every other day. I love this product so much! I can see why it's a cult classic. I prefer it in this gel formula, I find it easier to apply and feels nice to apply with this texture on my fingertips. I received this product complimentary for reviewing purposes. I’m not a stranger to chemical exfoliation; AHA, BHA, and retinol are regular parts of my skincare regimen. I also typically use a higher percentage AHA treatment once every week or so. All of this is say: I thought this would like one of those. I was wrong. The application itself is not very beginner-friendly, as the product has a very intense alcohol scent. I found myself coughing each time I inhaled during application. It’s also very uncomfortable, but luckily that feeling subsides after the first minute or so. Immediately afterwards, my skin feels tighter and drier (and my skin is already fairly dry.) The days following, my skin peels and flakes off, not unlike the first time I tried retinol. However, about six days after the peel, my skin is noticeably nicer. The texture smooths out considerably and my forehead looks almost glassy. It’s quite nice. Of course, I stop all other exfoliation three days before and after, stay hydrated and moisturized, and wear sunscreen during the daylight hours. I’m very pleased with this peel, but I’m not sure if I would have stuck with it if I wasn’t already used to chemical exfoliation; the scent, the discomfort, and the peeling for days afterwards could deter someone less experienced.jessica.c
This has help clear my skin well. For the pass two years, I struggle with really bad acne, hyperpigmentation, and dark spots. Thanks to this, it has improve my skin. My face looks more clean, healthy, glowing and most importantly clear from acne. I went through 2 peels (which is about a month) and so far everything is good. The only thing that I’m not a fan of was applying this to the skin because it gave me a little burning sensation.
I completed the first vial of blue brilliance a week ago. I had peeling from day 4-7 and my skin looks brighter. I’m looking forward to completing the 2nd vial in about a week. It’s a small vial but the product goes a long way. The initial sensation I felt was tingling, then burning in some sections as well. It said you may either do 1 or 2 wipes with the solution (2 if you can handle it). I did both and left it on for the full 10 mins. Great product so far!jessica.s
