Best All Purpose Steam Cleaner (2023 Update)

I bought my Dupray Neat Steamer 2 years ago. It’s become one of my favorite cleaning tools for tackling the tough and weird to clean things like the couch and our big area rug. Since my last cleaning, I had an issue with the cap getting stuck despite proper cleaning and air drying after my last use. I was very happy to work with Nilan in customer service who helped me with my warranty and shipping. One of my favorite things Ive ever bought. Its so easy to use. I absolutely love it. I love that I can use my own cloths on it instead of purchasing the expensive pads. It does come with 3. My only complaints are I wish the hose detached and it would be nice if there was a safety switch so I could lock the trigger so my 2 year old cant mess with it. If I need to take a break I have to shut it off and put it up so he cant get it. Then I have to wait for it to heat back up. Other than that its definitely worth the price.Beth

I've been using this steam cleaner for a while now. I used it to completely clean an apartment that I was moving out of and the landlord was impressed with the cleaning job that we did. The carpet was a little trampled down in the high traffic areas and the stream treatment helped to bring it back to its former fluffy self. I use it almost every weekend to clean my bathrooms and hard floors as well. I never have issues with steam productions and it has held up so far.Tyler

This product is great. It puts the Shark steam cleaner to shame. Its very powerful and last quite a long time on just a cup of water. It will give you about 15-20 minutes of continuous usage. However, if you press the trigger sporadically, it can last about 30-45 minutes. The steam blast is loud and packs a punch. I use this thing to clean and sanitize everything from my bathroom to the kitchen (always sanitize the nozzle with bleach or alcohol after use to avoid cross contamination). Another great feature is all the attachments it comes with so you can steam clean almost anything. My only issue is the quality of some of the attachment. The small brushes and scrub pads aren't really reusable. After the first usage, they start to fall apart, especially the scrub pads which are excellent for cleaning your tub and tile. You can buy more attachments online, but its kind expensive costing 10 for 5. One reason I switched to steam cleaning was to save money on cleaning solutions, but if I have to constantly buy the attachments, eventually it will work out to cost more than the cleaning solutions. But I recently used the steamer to clean this very disgusting fridge in the apartment Im renting. The steamer blast through all the filth, chocolate syrup, spilled soda, and other unknown substances with extreme ease.Monster_Review

I bought this tool to clean 1/2 grout tile floor grout. It worked great for the first 10 minutes, and it would great for the process, except it is not designed properly. I has a special small nozzle head, upon which small brush attachments are placed. There are three pieces, brush, nozzle, and nozzle attachment (to hook to hose or hose extension). The nozzle is made of thermoplastic, like the rest of the unit, except the pressure chamber cap, which is brass. The nozzle needed to be made of brass as well. The thermoplastic heats up, and a threaded piece (with o-ring) when at temperature cannot handle GENTLE scrubbing with the brush. (e.g. for the purpose it is made.) The nozzle fitting jumps the threads every time, once it heats up. So the unit is only good to use for about 10 minutes, before the nozzle gets soft from heat, and falls off constantly. If they made the nozzle out of brass, and the end piece (nozzle attach) out of metal, it would work great. But they didn't, so it is pure frustration to CONSTANTLY put the nozzle on again, and again, and again. This gets 1 star. It works great for 10 minutes, then its useless. If used with the larger attachments, it would probably be a great value; but I need it to clean grout. It says it cleans grout, but it really doesn't.MesaGuy

I've only used the MC1275 once to clean shower floor tile grout using the scrub pad attachment. I filled the steam chamber one time with distilled water, and the steam was ready in approximately 5 minutes. It was easy to control, but did a marginal job restoring the whiteness of the grout. The scrub pad itself came loose and separated completely from its plastic base in under 10 minutes. While the steamer worked as advertised, steaming cleaning the grout didn't live up to my expectations, and the scrub pad's durability was a major disappointment. The good – it produced steam reliably; control is easy to maintain. The bad – the scrub pad is virtually useless for scrubbing applications; steam alone will not magically clean discolored tile grout.beforemytime

I am amazed at how effective this machine is at cleaning up even very old pet stains from carpet and mattress topper. I have two chihuahuas that occasionally barf on the bed or my carpeted bedroom floor, and sometimes they will pee too on the carpeting. I of course blot up as much as possible when this occurs but it was still gross. Not bad enough that it stank to high heaven or anything but the beige carpet looked gross with lots of little spots and definitely needed a freshening. I couldn't believe how immediately this machine removes the pee and barf stains!! Even ones that were really old, even got old bile stains out of a white mattress topper-quickly and easily. Everything looks and smells great now. I really can barely believe it! I happened to get this machine second hand/used from someone's tag sale but I would pay the full price. When I first got the Little Green I used it primarily for cleaning spots on area rugs. It worked well, but always leaked every single time I used it. The suction is pretty weak for a carpet cleaner…I have even done a thorough clean of all the tubes and nozzle to make sure it was 100% clean without any blockage. After not using it for 6 months (and misplacing the water nozzle and suction brush during a move) I replaced both items through the Bissell site. I once again made sure all compartments were clean in the machine before use. Now when I use the machine the dirty water excessively leaks from the bottom (or some area at the bottom of the machine) and the leakage has gotten EXTREMELY worse. I ended up having to place the machine on a heavy duty trash bag on top of a high absorbent mat. When I use the suction, there are LITERAL BUBBLES coming from the bottom of the machine. NOTHING is going into the dirty water tank. Before anyone asks, yes the suction top on the dirty water container is closed and all items are in the proper place. So moral of the story is that instead of having dirty water in the designated tank, it is now pooling in the trash bag. After tonight I will NOT be using this product ever again. My wife and i were totally happy and satisfied with your product ( the McMculloch canister steam system) We cleaned the kitchen sinks, the Granite counter tops, and ceramic floors in the kitchen and bathrooms. Boy did I do My research on this Baby! As a user/owner I am being honest by saying There are a few issues with this Machine. No issue alone is Problematic, it CLEANS VERY WELL INDEED, however when there are 5 issues at once, it starts to ad up.The Bissell Cleaning Solutions are Exellant but Soo expensive(look for Generics). To clean a 3BD Home with Lounge/Dinning Stair case and Hallways will set you back between $100- 150 on Bissell Cleaning Solutions, I'm not kidding!!The 2 roller Brushes are Very Agressive compared to the suction, they literally rip the Carpet Fibres up in Chunks then block the Machine. The On/Off button is way down the side were you have to feel for it because You are standing to high trying to Juggle the Power cord and God knows what, it should on the top Driving handle. The water/Solution tank is far to small and the Water and Solution level marks are impossible to see. There is allot of Back and forth to the Bathroom tub to keep refilling and adding yet more Expensive Solutions while splashing water about. Don't even try and use it to clean your Matress(big Soggy mess). The cleaning attachments are OK, but it will take hours to clean Your Sofa and will hurt Your wrists (RSI) good job though. It is heavy and Combisome. The 2 roller Brushes don't disengage when you are using utility tools, so the hole Machine is blasting full bore all the time.It was fun at first, however the pipes kink, the Power cord keeps getting stuck under Machine, it keeps getting blockedITS A BIG JUGGLING ACT, and takes allot of Practice. We frequently have six grand children running around are house. They mainly stay in the living room where Nana let's them eat snacks! The carpet had noticably dingy traffic areas, spills, and various snack crumbs smashed into the carpet around the coffee table area. As a former professional carpet cleaner of five + years, I am amazed at how well this smart wash carpet cleaner cleaned our carpet! The living room is approximately 13' x 20' and used 2 gallons of hot water with mixed detergent to clean. The traffic areas and spills took multiple passes as expected. 1 gallon of water without detergent was used to rinse the carpet and extract any remaining detergent from the carpet. Rinsing is an important step because detergent is designed to attract dirt and if not rinsed properly, will attract more dirt to the carpet. I was sceptical at first and thought at best the carpet would look "better". However, the hoover smart wash outperformed my expectations and the carpet actually looks clean! I highly recommend the smart wash carpet cleaner.Feathered Edge

I've owned this machine for little over two years now and overall it's been great but there was one issue I had about six months into owning it with the dry only button and I was frustrated but Hoover was awesome about it and sent me a box and return label so they could see the problem and fix it. Not only did they send me a brand new machine, they also sent me my old one fixed and restored! This machine does an amazing job and it's much lighter to push than the older previous models. It takes a little bit getting used to it at first since it operates differently than older models. Once you get used to it, it's easy. One complaint I have is it's a pain having to remove the small cleaning solution container and setting it aside for rinsing with water only. (Note: be sure to place it upside down or it will leak cleaning solution all over the floor) Not a deal breaker but I hope with future models there can be a switch to use clean water only for rinsing. One thing I will stress that helps is to clean out the machine good after every cleaning! With this model it is easy to remove the brushes and the plastic covering them. This particular model has a "dry only" function which did not work on the first unit ordered. It has a circuit board which is either susceptible to damage or manufacturer defect. After going through the gamut of trial and error with customer service, they sent a replacement free of charge.

Here are a few things I've found over the past year of using the unit maybe 10 or 12 times.

The good first.

I like the dry only feature so that way one can use it as a dry vacuum or go over the freshly cleaned carpet to one's heart's content.

It seems pretty light and maneuverable to me and the three agitator brushes do a pretty good job agitating the carpet pile.

Yep, that's about it.

The not so good.

First and foremost there is no way to rinse the cleaning solution mixture from the carpet leaving it behind to dry and attract and hold on to dirt and grime. I used it on a white shag and the tips of the pile turned brown as it dried so I went through the whole process again only this time adding a clean water rinsing step and used my shop vac to remove the rinse water.

Why would I use the Shop-Vac to remove the water you might ask? Because these units do not have enough suction to do the job.

The cleaning solution container does not seal well when removing it from the unit so it tends to get messy and somewhere along the pathway in the unit seems to leak eventually.

The dry only function seems to be malfunctioning or it could be the leaky cleaning solution.

There are a lot of little nooks and crannies to clean after every use if you want to keep it operating as efficiently and effectively as possible.

Ultimately, in my humble opinion, they need to scrap this design and go back to the drawing board. If you remove the cleaning solution container it will make a decent but very expensive vacuum.Andrew

I love this steam mop. It is super easy to use and saves so much time. I have 5 cats and a dog, my floors get gross quickly and are very difficult to keep clean. This mop takes all the effort out of scrubbing the floor. What use to take almost an hour takes about 15 mins. The cord is super long and the steam mop is very sturdy but not to heavy. With the spin setting it basically walks on the floor all by itself. This has made my floors look great andy life so much easier. This is my 4th of 5 big shark item and I seriously love them all. Shark is such an innovative and dependable brand it's my new go to.Morganssss

I was so excited to unbox the Shark S7201 Steam & Scrub with Steam that I received in exchange for my use and honest review. It came very securely packed and all items were in perfect condition. A handy instruction booklet was included. I was happy to discover how easy this product is to use – the pads connect very easily and the Steam & Scrub is so easy to operate – just the touch of a finger and the pads do all the work for you. There is a Steam Blaster mode that makes hard-to-scrub spills come right up. My favorite thing about this product is that I can feel good about not having to use harsh chemicals on my floors – with pets this is a real concern. I have owned a steam mop before but it just wasn't that great. It would move the dirt around. You really have to vacuum well before you use a steam mop because this does not actually pick up the loose dirt. It was easy to put together, however, when I was trying to turn it on the first time, it kept blinking. You need to pull back the handle for it to start. It uses distilled water to preserve the inside parts. The hot water will disinfect your floor but I also squirted a bit of cleaner on the floor after a pet accident. You should not add chemicals to the water reserve. Once turned on, it kind of moves itself around but it is not hard to pull back. I love that it has lights so you can see the dirt better. It has 4 pads, which I definitely need. I do pet sitting and my floors get filthy quickly so the added extra pads allow me to continue on instead of stopping to wash the pads. The water reserve is not large so you will have to add more water. I didn't see a notification light as to when the water is low, which would help. There may be one, but I didn't see it. This mop gets the job done quickly! And most importantly feels so nice on my feet after I am done. The rotating pads really do a good job. There is a steam button for heavily soiled spots. It did not get rid of some of the dried-up gook but I just took a sponge and scrubbed it a little. I like not having to use harmful chemicals to clean the floor and feel good using this around pets. The pads are easily washed in the washing machine and you can add bleach if they become stained. I have used this on both tile and laminate. I am extremely happy with this mop. It definitely beats using a regular mop.LoriH

I had no idea the parts were this small! Good for cleaning very very small spaces! Couldn't handle the laundry area at all. Only good for maybe a sink. Not to mention almost gave my self third degree burns 10 minutes after letting it cool off. The top says 5 minutes. This appliance has to be the best steamer I have ever owned. The price for this model is a great value. Rhere are several attachments that it comes with. Not only can it clean upholstery and carpet stains, i used it to remove some stubborn wallpaper i was having trouble with. Overall very happy with my purchase.Daniel

I am impressed by the steam jet and temperature this thing generates, with a nice set of accessories and different adaptors. Work quite well for cleaning and disinfecting purposes. Pretty simple to setup and use. I’m just not very impressed with the quality of some of the accessories. I used the sponge attachment once and the sponge disintegrated. You can buy spare parts and standalone accessories on their website, but I haven’t checked the prices yet…Rasec

I loved all the attachments on this steamer. Once I started steaming, I couldn't stop! I used every attachment for different purposes. The microfiber cloth and rectangular attachment worked great on my wood floors! The small nylon brush and steel brush were awesome for grout lines! I would have given a 5 star review; however, I wasn't impressed with the window tool. We have a glass shower and it took a LONG time to clean…and didn't work well. Traditional glass cleaner was much more effective and a LOT easier. I also wish the unit came with more microfiber cloths.SJO

This cleaner does a very good job of cleaning. It heats up quickly and has very good pressure, which is adjustable. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is the locking buttons are hard to press to release attachments. I have pinched a finger several times and currently have a blood blister from trying to remove attachments.cat mom

I deep cleaned my entire house with this steam cleaner. It's amazing. It stands by brilliantly without leaking steam while I move things around to clean more. I find that the 700ml lasts a good while before needing to be refilled. The only draw back is that if you must refill you need to let it cool off and depressurize before adding more water. Pros you can use tap water but make sure you maintain per Dupray instructions with vinegar rinse after so many uses. I used every single attachment and I love it but I still need to get the hang of the squeegee. My favorite moment was getting the cracks between my shower surround that I couldn't get with anything else. The pressurized steam blasted out the gunk. It was disturbing and oh so satisfying at the same time. I feel better knowing that I can clean soft surfaces that I can't throw in the laundry, especially for the coming baby. 100% worth the cost, and I'm glad I chose the home over the Neat.Christy R

I bought this two months ago to replace my previous Shark steam mop (a different model), which my daughter "borrowed". I have also had other brands of steam mops in the past. I like that the water tank is removable and can be filled directly from the tap and there is not a little jug which needs to be stored somewhere. I like that it is light and relatively small and hence easy to store and carry. I also like that it stands up by itself. My previous mop had the flip over option and the cloth was like a pocket, with only one side open. Unfortunately it shrank on its first wash and never fitted properly again, often coming off mid-mopping (one of the reasons I did not press y daughter to return it), so I liked that this model's cloth attached differently. The bit I did not anticipate with this model was that whilst the cloths stays on fine when mopping hard floors, I cannot use it to steam clean carpets as the cloths sticks to the carpet in preference to the mop. I wish I had known this before buying this mop. This is the first steam mop I have had where you have to prime the pump to get the steam flowing. This requires you to pump the handle a few times. What the instructions do not say is that you have to continue the pumping action to keep the steam flowing. Now, this happens automatically as you are mopping the floor, but when you stop to move the mop around furniture (which most of us have on our floors) the steam stops and then you have to pump it several times to get it going again. Same issue if you want to hold the mop on a stain to give it a while to soften, steam flow stops. So, overall I would not rush to buy this model again, despite it having some good features.CN263

If you are looking for a small, steam mop that delivers big results, look no further! I decided going in, that this steam mop was going to just be mediocre. But, much to my surprise, cleaned like no one’s business! The little water basin could be a little larger, but it’s not a deal breaker imo. Once plugged in, expect to be ready to mop away in about 20-30 seconds. Yes, for once a product literally gives an accurate description. I use a spray bottle with 1-3 ratio of vinegar water and spray as I mop to give a little extra disinfectant. By the end of my clean, my washable reusable mop pad is filthy with yuck. The mop was super quick and easy to set up and the longer cable meant getting around large floors wasn’t such a task after all, I was reluctant to buy in favour of a cordless but couldn’t find one, I guess for electrical safety reasons these cannot be cordless. Plenty of steam, remember to do the pump action if you experience low steam with it. It takes me moments to go around and do all of our floors here, and the mop came with two pads so I’m not without if the other one hasn’t gone in with the mucky wash yet. The pad head itself twists around in movement so I can easily manoeuvre it down the sides of the toilet and any other skinny gap floor areas that fit. The price was competitive in the sale, and for something as good as this I would go as far as saying overall my purchase is outstanding. Highly recommend!Rachel

First I love the different designs on each side-especially the unicorns! Also for how thin it feels it does incredibly well as an outside layer for other blankets that the cold air tends to blow through by blocking that from happening and thus keeping you warmer. Soooo today… This arrived… Bought it to clean the tile floor in my house. And clean small stuff around the kitchen. Horrible at the tile … I have to literally sit on the floor and clean one tile at a time. However. This is actually very effective. But will take days and kill my back. But will probably work. Used a few times; worked for about 1 gallon of water before i had to clean with vinegar. Went through another gallon of water before the nozzle just sprayed a weak steam; couldn't use the hand trigger cause that stopped working. Been sitting for 4 days and still can't remove the fill cap. Only chose 1 star because it requires or else it would be none.Snatch

So well designed! The glove is amazing, comfortable, and great on curved and awkward surfaces. I like that there is a hose between the water tank and the attachments; with some others you are holding a heavy clumsy tank trying to maneuver tiny attachments. It cleans well and the surfaces dry pretty quickly. I would have preferred an easier way to stop and start or pause the steam, and I'm waiting for the day that somebody designs a steamer where the attachments can go on the end of a long handle, like for doing baseboards. I have never seen a steam mop like this before. It came with a hand held steam cleaner that can be used with or without the steam mop body. There are several attachments including a steam glove, 2 small brushes (1 blue and 1 copper), grout cleaner, steam jet nozzle, fabric steamer base, fabric steamer distributor, fabric steamer lint brush, 2 steam glove pads, 2 micro-fiber cleaning pads and flexible hose. There are various setting for you to choose from off to max, these are listed. From wood/laminate, tile/vinyl, stone/marble. I used the steam mop and was satisfied with it. I was able move it back and forth under and behind the sink and toilet without any problem because of the pivoting head… The only thing I dislike about this BLACK+DECKER 7-in-1 STEAM MOP is that this mop leave too much water on the floor. The cleaning is magnificent. It is trouble-free, light weight, stress-free, easy to fill. The attachments are trouble-free when putting on and taking off. It is nice that you get extra pads to use. Everything is good, except, I do not need all this water on my floor when I finish cleaning.Kunchie

first I really loved it I steam clean e times a week but I noticed the tube was tearing at I thought I'll just tape then wait I only had a little over a month ,for $200. plus no I exchange for another same thing happen within 2 months but love the glove this time I tape then 2 days later I was steaming and it shut down and hasn't turn on I it just stop working I took back to LOWE'S IN FOLSOM CA. Purchased this direct from Shark.com 2 weeks ago. The shipment arrived in 2 days, much faster than anticipated. The Steam Mop itself is great. Easy to put together and very light. We have all tile floors, so this is the best tool. After taking a few passes you can really see what a difference the steam mop makes. The detail and wand tool are great for showers. Have not tried the clothing tool but can tell from the fine steam that comes out, this is better than my clothing steamer. Highly recommend purchasing extra mop pads, as it is convenient to have another clean and dry one if you are covering a larger space.bobbie724

We purchased this pro model to replace our previous model which we had for over six years. I love these mops! This one spot cleans better than the normal model, and seems to throw more steam. I feel like I have to fill the reservoir more often, but the floors look cleaner, so I'm ok with that. Ive yet to try the attachments, but if they're anything like the previous model, they will be wonderful. I only regret that they didn't include the plastic ring to glide over rugs with the large mop. It was nice to steam clean smaller area rugs. It gave them a fresh look and cleaned them up in between deep cleaning.projectbronco

I love this steam mop. I use it 3-4 times a week on my tile, though sometimes more often. It is easy to use and a tank of water will clean my kitchen. Refilling is easy as is changing out pads. Buying multiple pads is a must. If you have a lot of tile I suggest having at least 6, and if you have a houseful of tile much more than that as you will want to change them often so you aren’t just spreading the dirt around. The pads do end up fairly stained, which is unfortunate but not a problem. I air dry them after washing in the machine. I wish this could go on vinyl plank, but after talking to a flooring expert it’s definitely for tile only. I don’t use the other attachments regularly, but they do work decently.Happywithcleanfloors

This steamer is powerful. There was careful though put into the design. There is a release valve safety feature. The design is ergonomic. I have had it for 4 months and I am pleased.Ron

This little steamer is the best! I actually LOVE using it and it makes the work not feel so cumbersome and I have fun using it. I take it to other friends houses to clean for them too! And I hate housework. LolGeorgie

The very concept of an appliance that stream cleans floors and vacuums was intriguing. I had to have one. Assembly was simple enough: snap on the floor nozzle and attach the handle with a screw (they even supplied the screwdriver). After filling the water tank with distilled water (highly recommended), I pressed the appropriate steam button, and waited…and waited. Nothing. I removed the water tank and the filter to make sure water was getting through to the steam motor. The water from the tank trickled through the filter, and the filter trickled water through to the steam motor. Every time I pressed the steam release button, nothing would happen, the device would give three short vibrations, but no steam. After 15-20 minutes, it showed signs of life; I got steam. I started with my bathroom floor, so I set the mop to Max Steam. It did a good job, I guess. The floor was wet, but there’s no way of telling that it was killing 99% of germs/bacteria. After going over an area on the floor, it felt cool to the touch. After the bathroom, I went downstairs to mop the laminate flooring. Per the manual, I set the mop to Eco Steam. After mopping the kitchen, dining room and living room, the floors looked nice. I didn’t notice any streaks on the areas I had gone over. Again, there’s no way of being sure about the germ killing. I make a big deal about the germ killing because I have a grandson who crawls all over the place, and I want my floors to be safe for him. I do not like the shape of the floor nozzle has an odd 5 sided shape that doesn’t allow you to get into corners. Also, I wish the head would swivel to allow me to get into tight spaces. I don’t know what’s going on with the Carpet Attachment, which is a misnomer, because it doesn’t attach to anything. Basically, it’s a piece of plastic that you place on the cleaning pad in order to vacuum. Because it doesn’t attach to the Floor Nozzle, whenever you lift the vacuum cleaner, the thing just falls off, that’s not aggravating at all when you’re vacuuming the stairs (yes it is!). I decided to test this product because I had always wanted to see how well steam would clean tile and marble. The fact that it could also be used as a vacuum was a bonus, but nothing I was really focused on. Assembling the product took about 5-10 minutes, and figuring out how to use it took about another 10. Some of the instructions in the manual were a bit confusing, and at times, even contradictory. For example, when addressing the 'Eco Steam' mode, the manual states the vacuum can be used with that mode, but not with 'Max Steam' mode. However, when addressing 'Max Steam' mode, the manual states the exact opposite. I'm assuming that's a cut/paste error. Filling the water reservoir was simple enough, but when I first tried to use the steam, the product vibrated/buzzed, which meant that it wasn't getting water. I had to remove and replace the tank a few times before the water would feed properly. I believe there might have been an air pocket in the supply line and had I just left the machine standing for several minutes, the problem might've resolved itself. I had purposefully left 'spots' on the tile in the kitchen, so I was anxious to see how the product dealt with them; I was pleased. There were a few spots that had to be gone over multiple times, but they all came up without much fuss. I then took the machine into the adjoining hallway, which is a high traffic area, and tried it on the marble. Again, the steam worked very well, however, about half way through, I checked the mophead and realized that it was quite dirty. I wish an additional mophead had been included, but since it wasn't I washed/rinsed the one I had as quickly as I could, and continued. Although the reservoir is small, I used the product for about 15-20 minutes, finishing about 300 sq ft, and there was still a small amount of water left in the tank. I was hoping to use the steam mop on my hardwoods, but none of them are sealed, so I decided against it. I did use the product on a small section of carpet, and it does work with the vacuum and eco steam on. Of course it in no way is going to replace a true vacuum, but it did pick up small debris and the steam left the carpet looking refreshed. It is a bit more cumbersome than I thought it would be; it's kind of difficult to get into corners, and the height keeps it from getting underneath even moderately low shelves/cabinets, but it just takes a bit of getting used to. Overall I'm happy with this product, I just hope it holds up under constant use.Chuck

I have been looking for a Vacuum and Steam mop combo and got Black+Decker – Corded Steam Mop and Vacuum (Model: BDXSMV190G). It came with Steam Mop+Vacuum, Mop Pad, and Pad Tray. It is easy to assemble the Mop pad and attach the handle with the provided screw. I filled the water tank with water and tried the Max steam option. It took a minute to start the steam. I tried on the hardwood floor and tile areas. It did a good job on the hardwood floor, and it was cleaner than ever. However, watermarks were visible on the tile floor. The steam mop function worked perfectly except for the corner areas due to the odd design of the floor nozzle. It could have been better with a square design and swivel option. I tried vacuum mode and it did not pick up all stuff from the floor and another major issue is power cable length. It is less than 10 feet and not able to move around for big rooms. I have connected the power cable to different outlets to cover the big rooms and every time I need to wait for few mins to use the steam mob function. I was spending more to do vacuum and steam mop functions using this product compared to using them with two different products. With the max steam option, I was refilling water for every room and connecting the power cable to different outlets very often due to limited cable length. The carpet attachment is nothing but plastic and I have no idea how it works on carpets. It is a great concept of having Steam mop and Vacuum as a combo. However, it did not fulfill my needs.Selva
