This works like a charm on my long, dark, thick arm hair. I know I shouldn't be so self-conscious abiout it, but it really makes a difference in my self-esteem when it is lightened. Be careful to measure carefully. If you use too much powder it may sting and itch a little bit. I was wary of this product because of some reviews saying it doesn't work, but I'm so glad I bought this :') I have been growing a small patch of really thick, dark hairs under my chin/ jaw about the size of a quarter. I used the regular Jolen formula years ago and it was a very unpleasant experience: it was itchy, grainy, and turned my skin colour shades lighter for a while afterwards. As they seem to have discontinued the cream bleach I'd been using, I decided to give this another try. I was amazed at how quickly it worked compared to what I'd been using before, there was almost no skin irritation, and my skin was the same shade afterwards. I'm fair skinned with dark hair, and the hair became blond very quickly. I'm very impressed, and happy because Jolen is a lot easier to get a hold of than other hair bleaching brands; even my dinky little small town Boots carries it. Measuring is not the easiest, but even the 1:1 products can be tricky. I just used half of the 30ml cream and half of the powder which was easy enough, and that bleached my arms, abdomen and parts of my face. After randomly starting to sprout black chin hairs last year (yuck!) I started waxing my upper lip and chin. This did work for me for a while but I'm finding i have so much more black hair growth on my chin now then i did previously and also having to do it much more frequently because of this my last wax my chin became very irritated and had a scaly texture and i broke out in loads of spots! I suddenly had a brain wave yesterday why don't i bleach everything like i used to! I didn't think bleach would work on my stubborn chin hairs but by god it did I'm so happy with the results everything looks like baby blonde hair on my face again! When following the instructions on the box you end up with a full pot of bleach which actually you probably don't need, I ended up doing absolutely anything i could with it (toes, side burns, belly, chin, upper lip) but in doing this i would say you would only get about 3 uses out of the entire box. Next time i will do half the amount it says. I did some areas twice to really make sure id got everything and had absolutely no reaction to this although i could feel a ever so slight sting this is how i knew it was time to remove it. I bought this as an alternative to my usual Veet hair lightening kit as they had sold out. It is TERRIBLE! It comes as a kit consisting of a pot of activator cream and a thin pot of powdered bleach, a spatula and a teeny mixing pot. Its instructions say to "fill the pot up to the line with the cream" – however it's consistency is SO THICK you have to use the spatula to scrape it into the tiny pot and by this point it's all up the sides of the pot, you can't tell how much is IN the pot as the line is now very hard to see. Then it says add a cap of the powder… But now your worried are the quantities and consistencies right!? It is impossible to tell! Unless you have the patience of a saint or are a chemist, don't bother… Lol. Not worth the stress! Going back to Veet hair lightener.Squeak_green

I’ve used this on my roots for ages when I’m coloring my hair. I’ve also used it on friends to do balayage. It’s easy to use and the smell is mild compared to one other bleach I’ve used. I never use more than a 30 volume developer with it but the instructions say you can go higher. I do believe there are other brands that might be better but for the price and the amount you get, I can’t complain. I have very thick and long hair so this container last me for 6 months of managing my roots (I mix 2 bowls each time I need to do my roots). Like a lot of bleaches, this will give you aggressive “hot root” if you try to apply all over and process at the same time. Always do the roots last! Damage is very mild as long as I don’t go over 30 volume developer. I would caution the inexperienced user — my favorite for bleaching and the best for your scalp. This works like a charm on my long, dark, thick arm hair. I know I shouldn't be so self-conscious abiout it, but it really makes a difference in my self-esteem when it is lightened. Be careful to measure carefully. If you use too much powder it may sting and itch a little bit. I've been dying my hair for several years now (since I was 14) and this is the only product that lightens my dark brunette hair (somewhere between levels 2 and 3) to that perfect platinum. I usually dye my hair pastel colors. I feel like the people who are leaving bad reviews don't know what they're doing. If you get clumps just crush it up. Like, it's not that difficult. I have curly hair (a mixture of 2c and 3a) and it doesn't ruin my curl pattern. Curly hair tends to be dryer and more fragile than straight hair. Yes, your hair is going to fall out if you're putting 40 volume bleach on damaged hair (heat damage counts; if you blow-dry and flat iron your hair constantly you shouldn't bleach your hair at home; go to a professional; I have the same advice for people with chemical treatments and perms). Common sense people. 40 volume bleach is the strongest you can use and it shouldn't be left on for more than 30 minutes. You should never bleach your hair multiple times in a short span of time (Bleaching your hair again after you just bleached it isn't a good idea especially when it's 40 volume). Wait a couple of days between each session. And if you are bleaching your hair for the first time and don't know what you're doing educate yourself. Brad Mondo and Evangeline Demuro make great educational videos on how to do your hair. I suggest using a hair mask every night for a week before bleaching it so that your hair has enough moisture and is also strong enough to handle this. Also, for the love of GOD do not wash your hair before bleaching it. Your hair needs oil for bleach to do its job. The reason why this doesn't work for certain people is that they don't take into account the things I said. Don't use this on damaged hair, don't wash your hair, don't do this multiple times in one day and don't leave it on for a long time. I have fine shoulder length 3B hair. I started from the back and worked my way to the front but got to the top of my head when I realized one box was not enough. Not a big deal for what I was going for but would have been disappointed otherwise. I put coconut oil on my ears as forehead as well as my neck. It still got burned. It felt like sun burn. A piece of hair touch my check and it burned immediately. It did the job but I'm assuming it's really strong. I have tried every powdered, gel, and liquid cleaner over the past 26 years, and always come back to Ajax. This is my main cleaner for every tub, sink, and toilet. You don’t have to use a big amount for regular cleaning. If there are tough stains, rust, or hard water marks, just make a paste with water and let it set for about 25 minutes (or longer) before wiping it away. The Clorallen bleach gel was tested out in various cleanings and laundry for about 4 days. I do like the fact that the bottle comes with a grip handle and that the bleach is a gel format to maintain control of the contents. You do not have to worry about splashback from this bottle. I first tested it in a load of dirty white rags used for the sole purpose of cleaning house. These rags have set in stains that regular bleach has not removed. The gel bleach also did not remove the set in stains. I did notice it did, in fact, deodorize the rags though. When I do a normal load of regular bleach it leaves an aroma on the laundry that this one did not. As far as cleanings, I used it for cleaning some stained white tile grout and it did the job nicely. There were stains from my cat that had set in the grout over time that I finally went around the house with the bleach and a scrubby hard bristle brush to work it into the grout. I diluted the gel bleach with water to clean my countertops with a clean rag. Everything cleaned up nicely. The bottle comes with a standard clear plastic perforated seal on the cap that you pull off. Then you unscrew the cap and there is foil seal to remove. You will also notice under the cap that there is a foam ring seal that stays in place to screw against the bottle to keep any liquid from leaking. The bottle and the handle are both sturdy. The gel liquid pours smoothly and is easy to control. All in all, I do like the Clorallen Bleach Gel a lot. I would continue to use it and would recommend it. My 3 favorite things are the gel liquid, the pop top lid versus a traditional screw cap (that can easily be dropped), and the deodorizing effect on the laundry.

Having it in a pen form allows me to get right to where I need the bleach to be without affecting any other area of the item. They are great for shoes that have white trim – you can get right on the trim and keep the rest of the shoe from getting bleached. Anytime I see these at yard sales and such I grab them. I ordered the splashless bleach thinking the bottle pour spout was different, thereby “splashless.” Wrong. This “version” of Clorox bleach does NOT disinfect. The company added some SUDSY, higher viscosity junk to make it splash less. It doesn’t even smell like Clorox. I have never used sudsy bleach. I had some mixed with water in a plastic container to disinfect some hummingbird feeders. It made incredible suds. If they put whatever that is in bubble bath, you could fill your whole bathroom with bubbles. I let water run in the bucket when rinsing the feeders and it completely filled the sink. My husband and I live in an apartment building, so our washer and dryer are a shared space. This means people don't take care of the washer, and don't pay attention to what they put into the washer. I love keeping a Clorox pen handy. I have several white, cotton pieces that I love because of the breathable fabric. I also have a couple pairs of white shoes because they are stylish and comfortable. This pen is handy for the occasions when I get something on my clothes or shoe and am a ways from home and being able to clean the item. The smell of this is a bit frustrating because it smells just like chlorine bleach in a larger container but this stuff is a little less potent because it's so concentrated in one small area. The pen has a precision tip on it that makes it easy to apply the product to the stain or stains. It is also a good tool to use to help scrub the stain out. One word of caution I would suggest, if you use on a shirt you're wearing, be careful not to soak it because this product can get on your skin and irritate it. I usually try to find a bathroom and rinse the item out with a cloth or paper towel after I bleach it. My skin is sensitive and bleach and detergents irritate it. The pen isn't a miracle worker but if nothing else, I've noticed if I put some of this on a stain and just let it soak in, it helps the stain come out better in the wash. It's not great for larger stains either. I had a huge glob on one of my shirts, probably 3 inches in diameter, and this didn't help as much as I would have liked. I ended up throwing the shirt out because the stain turned pink and peach colored even after a few washes. This is a life saver though for shoes and small spots. Having it in a pen form allows me to get right to where I need the bleach to be without affecting any other area of the item. They are great for shoes that have white trim – you can get right on the trim and keep the rest of the shoe from getting bleached. Anytime I see these at yard sales and such I grab them. Awesome item that everyone with a newborn should have on hand. Our little guy had developed diaper rash as he had a slight buildup of bilirubin and thus was expelling it all through his stools. Because of that, he was having bowel movements 3-4 times an hour and despite drying him off after each diaper change, his skin still became irritated from stooling so frequently. Ultimately, this product did help. My shower drain was clogged to the point that it took over 24 hours to drain. (By the end, I think it might have been totally stopped.) I tried 16 ounces and I thought maybe it helped a little, so I did another 16 ounces. That seems to help a little more, so I got another bottle and ultimately poured another 80 ounces down (on top of the first 32). Each round seemed to do a little more, and by the end, it was draining in just a few minutes. So it didn't entirely solve the problem, but it did make it a lot better, it just took a lot more than 16 oz. I've also gotten very good results from this in the past for less serious clogs. I think that it does do what it's supposed to, but it takes a lot more than the directions say for serious clogs.STK1

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. I purchased Drano max gel clog remover. It says that it is guaranteed to clear packages. I use this on a slow drain that had hair in it. I followed the directions and used approximately half the bottle and waited and then rinsed with hot water. The drain does seem to be running faster now, but I might use the rest of the bottle to clear anything else out. It's a thick liquid with a strong smell so make sure there is ample ventilation. The instructions on how to use the Drano are very simple and easy to follow. I poured the Drano in my kitchen sink to get the greasy buildup and food pieces out. I let it sit and then poured the hot water down the drain and I noticed the water went down a lot faster than before. I highly recommend this product for a quick and easy fix. I absolutely love these little packs! I live in an apartment, and my portable washer doesn't have a bleach dispenser built in. I'm always skeptical about just dumping bleach straight into the wash, so with these I can just throw them into the bottom of the drum with a detergent pod and my wash is good to go! PLUS, on the occasions that I do laundry elsewhere, these are PERFECT for laundromats! No hauling heavy bottles of liquid bleach around, just a compact little container to throw in your bag and go. These have been a total game changer for me, I would totally recommend.Jake

I just recently purchased these for the first time have only used them once. So, I may have more tips or opinions later, but for now, I’d definitely say they are handy to have around. I don’t know if it’s just me, but it seems like almost every time I have attempted to Bleach, more specifically using bleach w/ laundry, some how… some way – tiny little drips of bleach end up reaching darkly colored clothes or towels. Seriously, I don’t know how this happens b/c I am very cognizant of this so careful while handling liquid bleach. Discovering these little bleach packets, is exciting, especially for a momma like me that enjoys white hotel type towels at home…. whether it’s kiddos spaghetti sauce, boys/guys/husbands the dirt, grime, or grease they somehow have smudged on their hands… those pretty white hotel like bath towels don’t stay that way for long. So, I’m hopeful these little packs will help me feel like I can use bleach a tad more often without fear of accidentally ruining other clothes! Again, I’ve just used them once on a big load of white bath towels wash clothes. I did notice a difference- but will use 2 packs next time around for a bit more “kick”.allison.w

we love these bleach packs,just drop them in waaher along with your pods.or these are perfect for soaking stubborn stains out of your white clothes.
