I received this product complimentary for reviewing purposes. I’m not a stranger to chemical exfoliation; AHA, BHA, and retinol are regular parts of my skincare regimen. I also typically use a higher percentage AHA treatment once every week or so. All of this is say: I thought this would like one of those. I was wrong. The application itself is not very beginner-friendly, as the product has a very intense alcohol scent. I found myself coughing each time I inhaled during application. It’s also very uncomfortable, but luckily that feeling subsides after the first minute or so. Immediately afterwards, my skin feels tighter and drier (and my skin is already fairly dry.) The days following, my skin peels and flakes off, not unlike the first time I tried retinol. However, about six days after the peel, my skin is noticeably nicer. The texture smooths out considerably and my forehead looks almost glassy. It’s quite nice. Of course, I stop all other exfoliation three days before and after, stay hydrated and moisturized, and wear sunscreen during the daylight hours. I’m very pleased with this peel, but I’m not sure if I would have stuck with it if I wasn’t already used to chemical exfoliation; the scent, the discomfort, and the peeling for days afterwards could deter someone less experienced.jessica.c
This has help clear my skin well. For the pass two years, I struggle with really bad acne, hyperpigmentation, and dark spots. Thanks to this, it has improve my skin. My face looks more clean, healthy, glowing and most importantly clear from acne. I went through 2 peels (which is about a month) and so far everything is good. The only thing that I’m not a fan of was applying this to the skin because it gave me a little burning sensation.
I completed the first vial of blue brilliance a week ago. I had peeling from day 4-7 and my skin looks brighter. I’m looking forward to completing the 2nd vial in about a week. This is my second time buying this glycolic acid peel from Skin Obsession. I've never had any issues or problems using it. I use it every 2-3 weeks and leave the acid on for 5 minutes (timed) and wash off with baking soda mixed with cool water. Then I apply a thick layer of face lotion. The next day my skin feels very smooth. I find that it helps active acne dry up and fades old acne red spots. My skin complexion has definitely improved since I started using this product. Also, the free microdermabrasion crystals they throw in with the purchase are amazing! Obviously this peel isn't going to be as good as one you'd get from a professional – they put a numbing agent in the peel so its not painful and can be left on longer. You're not going to experience actually peeling of your skin from this product. But around here a chemical peel is about $300 so I'm going to stick with this cheaper option!msmillie-99

This exfoliant helps me fight against milia. Moreover, it helps clear pores, smooth fine wrinkles, and improve skin tone. I apply it at night and wash my face in the morning. The scent is not very pleasant, but it fades away after a while. I would suggest applying it 30m before going to bed so your pillowcase won't get dirty. It doesn't irritate my skin nor dries it out. Hence, I even don't apply moisturizer after it. I use it twice or once a week depending on how oily my skin is. Also, I like to use it when I have breakouts around my chin. Ok. So I had two really bad scars from my belly button piercing that I took out many years ago. I'm 2017 I got scar removal surgery and it did nothing basically besides make my it a tiny bit less noticeable. Last year I spent over $1,000 on fraxel laser to remove it.. once again this helped the appearance slightly. However my scars were still dark and noticeable. Most peels sold on Ebay don't come with everything you need to do it at home and feel like a spa. This kit came with a peel prep to prep the skin, the glycolic acid, a neutralizer to stop the acid from penetrating the skin and then a hyaluronic serum to help heal and sooth the skin afterwards. I have combination skin and glycolic was recommended to me to reduce pores and fine lines and since this peel only had my skin light flaking and not huge peeling pieces I've repeated it every 2-3 weeks. I have gotten so many compliments on my skin and I notice such a difference I find myself leaving the house without any makeup on! These are my holy grail product. I used to have acne throughout my twenties and early thirties and quite a bit of scarring. My aesthetician recommended these (ultra gentle ones first). When you first use them, with regular use, you really do visibly see improvement in the texture. You need your skin to build up to them so try ultra gentle first. Over time, breakouts reduce and scars will fade, and a brighter more even complexion emerges. I am a return customer! I have used this peel many times. It is much stronger and more effective than the TCA peels from another, much more expensive, company. It is important to use the peel correctly. If you aren't getting great results, I would guess you aren't using it correctly. 1. Stop retinol products 4-7 days prior to use. 2. If you are FP types above 3, prep with HQ for a few weeks first. 3. Use a peel prep to defat (remove all oils) from skin prior to application. You can do this with 90% alcohol. Swipe over face – wait 5 minutes, then apply peel. If you only have 70% – do this twice. This will help to ensure a more even peel. 4. Apply with gauze. Get a square – fold it over on itself twice. Saturate the gauze. Skin should be glistening (wet) but NOT dripping. 5. Wait 5 minutes between layers (never more than 5). 6. Start SLOW. If you haven't done TCA before – make sure you have used other acids before (glycolic, mandelic, etc). Start with one layer. Wait a month. Do two layers. 7. Chemical peels are the "long game" of skin care. You won't solve all of your problems in one peel. This is why you get a very generous bottle for a great price. 8. Do a series – then take a break for a month or so. I have been very happy with this peel. I am almost 50, and I constantly hear, "your skin is amazing." I recently went for a professional facial – and the esthetician couldn't stop commenting that my skin is exceptional.
I was hesitant to try a peel at home, but this is easy to use, and I'm seeing some changes in the hyperpigmentation, melasma, and texture of my skin. I use it about every 7 to 10 days. The TCA 15 percent is an incredible peel. Struggled with melasmas for the past 2 years. Have used Platinum Skin Care's TCA 13% with disappointing results – no visible effect -no peeling..no improvement on the melasma. So, when I ordered Perfect Image's TCA 15% , I did not have high expectations that it would clear up my dark pigmentation… Boy! was I wrong. Skin type: In between oily and normal (naturally), normal when consistently using retionid gels (Tretinoin gel, Adapalene gel) My brown skin is prone to dyspigmentation from inflammation, acne, injury and sunlight exposure. It’s not prone to hyperpigmentation from products tho (except in very rare cases) It also sometimes gets duller looking than usual in the winter. This stuff is a dream. Greatest ADJUNCTIVE OTC product I’ve ever used for lightening darkened skin, instantly giving me a brighter complexion, making my warm/golden undertones pop (more vivid color) and maintaining the flawless even tone I was chasing. Using this all over my face along with hydroquinone (2%-4%) cream as a spot treatment this will quickly fade the darkened spots/sections. If you use other chemical (acid, enzyme) exfoliants and/or strong retinoids (tret, taz, adapalene) you’ll probably get velvety skin that’s smoother and softer the touch. It also gets more supple and bouncy even though I’m still in my 20s and thus have a lot of bounce & smoothness to my skin already. I have been using a stabilized, ph <3, properly packaged ascorbic acid serum for years. It’s my holy grail for brightening but since my skin is resilient I can put it on after using this. These two products are the DREAM TEAM for giving my face the radiance I’ve always wanted I use this on my face for up to 20 minutes (my own dermatologist said this was fine for me considering how my skin reacts to stronger in office chemical peels) and for 7-10 minutes on my neck. When I go over the ten minute recommendation & use it for 15+ minutes on my face I get enhanced results. No irritation, no adverse effects, instant gratification and long term gratification. So I'm 34 and have had adult acne for 10 years. A few months ago I finally discovered my perfect routine and I thought I'd share it with anyone who might resonate. I realized I can't layer products and my skin needs more simplicity. That's when everything cleared. It involves some OT products one of them being this amazing AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peel but some are not. Here it is: PM SKINCARE ROUTINE for dry/sensitive/acne prone skin/scars : 1)Wash face with CeraVe Foaming Cleanser (rinse off with warm water and washcloth) 2)Wipe off any remaining makeup with a cotton pad + Bioderma Sensibio micellar water . It helps prevent damage by harsh tap water. 3)Moisturise with The Ordinary pure Rosehip oil. *3 times a week (instead of Rosehip Oil ) use The Ordinary Mandelic Acid+HA (Moisturises while gently exfoliating over time). Once every 2 weeks: The Ordinary AHA/BHA peeling mask for 10mins. AM SKINCARE ROUTINE for dry/sensitive/acne-prone skin/scars 1) Wrap an Ice cube in thin cloth (like gauze) and massage your face with it for 1 min (then towel dry) 2) Wipe face with Bioderma Sensibio micellar water + a cotton pad 2) Five mins Face lifting massage with The Ordinary Rosehip oil. I ordered my second bottle of this mask back in May, and just finished the bottle now. I've been using this as a weekly exfoliating mask, but it is not my favorite one I have ever used. It is at a pretty good price point – and I first bought this as a way to start exfoliating at home instead of just when I had the time for a facial (it was recommended to me by a friend with similar skin: sensitive, with rosacea). After finishing my first bottle; I then tried the Sunday Riley good genes (used as a rinse off 10-min mask) and PTR pumpkin enzyme exfoliating mask. I then bought this again to compare and contrast. As far as price; it is obviously the cheapest and a great option for someone on a budget. As far as how well it works; I first got this because at the time I had just cleared up a few months worth of hormonal acne (I am not acne prone, this was my first bout with acne and I did not know how to care for it, so I was left with quite a bit of PIH). I read about how the use of exfoliating can be helpful for healing PIH. In all honesty, out of the three exfoliant masks I've used, this has faded my acne scars the most – but – it triggers my rosacea – whereas the SR and PTR I could use on my whole face without causing my rosacea to go nuts. So, I started only using this on my chin and jaw, but it would still manage to affect the rosacea patches on my cheeks and part of my neck. Since I have faded my acne scars to the point that I want to stop using an 'intense' mask 1-2x's a week, I don't have plans to purchase this again – as it did what I needed it to do. If you want to fade acne scars- I definitely recommend this product (but definitely include the use of sunscreen in the morning) but – if you have rosacea, be wary because every time I used it – I had a reaction. (I just purchased GR watermelon overnight mask with AHA's to see how that will help with fading remaining bits of PIH without triggering my rosacea)hasmm

I've been using the Sobel skin rx along with DR. DENNIS GROSS SKINCARE Alpha Beta® Extra Strength Daily Peel. I usually alternate every other day between these peels. Between both of them, I 100% see improvement in skin texture. My skin type is combination. I've been on a strict skincare regiment for about 10 years and I do see an esthetician for facial peels and such. For home care and maintenance, this is really good. I’m really happy with this peel so far (have been using it twice a week for a month). I was using the ordinary 30% peel and then babyfacial before that. I like that this peel has some soothing ingredients included, unlike the ordinary (although that is a great peel!). I don’t feel like it’s too expensive either as it’s a rather large bottle. I LOVE that they put this in an opaque bottle (light is not good for essentially any ingredients that will help your skin). I also love that there are no fragrant/citrus oils, fragrance or drying alcohol in this. I contacted the brand and they said they don’t use these in any of their products, which I love. I have lots of experience with acids so I apply this twice a week and leave on for 10-15 min, rather then the 2 min they recommend. Is my adult acne prone skin suddenly perfect? This is the best thing to ever happen to my skin. I had acne prone skin with melasma and large pores and i had tried EVERYTHING….nothing worked until I incorporated this into my skincare routine. I use it twice a week and i leave it on for 5 mins. I exfoliate with Dr. Brandt microdermbrasion before i put it on and it tingles!! i am on my third bottle and i now have clear skin….my skin has evened out, i barely breakout and my pores are barely noticeable. I like this product so far! It seems to be slowly helping my back acne. I still use African Black Soap and Cocoa Butter to help boost the speed of fading the dark spots on my back. I have heard great things about this product, so I’m excited to see how it helps my dark spots. The smell isn’t strong, but it does smell a bit like nail polish remover (much fainter though).
