I didn't know what to think of the Dryel At-Home Dry Cleaning upon first seeing it at my local dry cleaner, but I decided to give it a chance. I put a couple of dry clean only garments into the Dryel Bag with a fabric sheet and turned on my dryer. I let the dryer go for a full cycle on warm and after that I removed the bag to see the results. My clothes felt soft and smelled extremely fresh, but there was still a noticeable stain on the lapel of my suit jacket. It had improved greatly from it's original state, but it was still present. I decided to use the spot removing pen that came in the package on the stain. After about 15-20 seconds of going over the stain I put it back in the Dryel Bag and began another drying cycle. When I removed the bag this time I noticed a significant change in the stain. I was practically gone. It was still faintly present, but only under bright light up close. I proceeded to use the spot pen and the fabric sheets on silk fabric shirts and the results weren't so great. My shirts came out feeling and smelling great, but there was still a grease stain that was present. I repeated the drying process once again and it yielded the same results. The Dryel At-Home Dry Cleaning kit does a job of refreshing and cleaning minor stains out of cotton, wool, and acrylic, but not silk.kingoftheink
Dryel is not so much a dry cleaning substitute as it is a fabric refresher for Dry Clean Only clothes. You can use up to four garments for the special dryer bag that comes with the whole kit. Fortunately, after you have bought the full kit you can buy smaller packs refills so long as you hold onto the garment bag and Stain Remover. Dryel, for the most part will sufficiently freshen your clothing and you can use it with pretty much any type of fabric. The main thing is that it is not cleaning your clothes for you so you need to remove any hair and stains from your clothes before you put them in the Dryel bag otherwise you'll end up getting hair or fur on any other clothes in the load. A stand out of the whole Dryel package is the Stain Remover – it is awesome! I have no idea what it's made with but it seems to work on absolutely everything to remove just about any type of stain. I'm not exaggerating. It's gentle, too! I no longer buy Dryel since I got my clothes steamer (now I just spray my dry clean only items with Febreeze and then I steam them, this seems to work just as well but is quicker and cheaper to use in between dry cleanings), but I still use the bottle of Stain Remover. When I bought this, I thought it would save going to the dry cleaners, therefore I would save money. Well, it doesn't exactly work that way. I have found that it does extend the time before I have to take them to the dry cleaners but it doesn't eliminate the need of using a professional dry cleaners. Performance If and that a big if, the clothes are not really soiled or have that left over body odor, I found that I could take out some lightly soiled places however with the amount of time and cost involved, I am not sure that it is really worth the time, effort, or money. Using the stain removal proved impressive. It did get out things that surprised me like ketchup, hot sauce, and a dab of chocolate. I found that could do spot treating but it had to be done prior to putting them in the dryer. This is so easy to use & the results (so far) are very good. Except for the most delicate of my clothes, it's Dryel from now on for apparel & other fabrics that require dry cleaning. The trigger was getting a quote of $30-40 for 2 chair covers from professional cleaners. The Dryel kit comes with a large reusable bag, 4 cleaning cloths, stain pen and odor/wrinkle spray so I can dryclean numerous slacks, tops, etc. for $10 instead of $90-100. Woolite At-Home Dry Cleaner saved the day for the work clothes that I wasn't able to take to the dry cleaners before the lockdown. I have to admit, I was a little nervous putting these delicate clothes into our dryer, but they came out without any damage or warping. The clothes seemed pretty clean in the end. I wasn't too impressed with the stain treatment, but it was better than nothing right now when I have no other choice. One downside is that I have to use our apartment building's coin operated laundry and with the combined price of that and these sheets, I feel like I'm still getting a better value from the dry cleaners on the important pieces of clothing. However, I would still use Woolite for maybe the smaller, underclothing that isn't worth taking to the dry cleaners.Midge
I prefer to have a dry cleaning sheet that doesn't add fragrance. This one is fragrance free. I've used it for silk, and for quickly dry cleaning my shirts. I used the bag provided by Dryel for a garment that I didn't trust to be safe tumbling around in the dryer. Shirts came out clean – I pulled them right out of the dryer once the cycle was finished. Sure, it may cost slightly more to wash them in the washing machine (but I'm not sure how much detergent and electricity for the washing machine are worth), but the results are much faster. If time is an issue, these things are a good option. So far, nothing has been harmed by these – I read the box, so I don't wash the things that this sheet can damage. I've seen someone say that certain kinds of stains and soil are better washed in a regular washing machine. So far, I haven't found any. I like these. This product is great. It puts the Shark steam cleaner to shame. Its very powerful and last quite a long time on just a cup of water. It will give you about 15-20 minutes of continuous usage. However, if you press the trigger sporadically, it can last about 30-45 minutes. The steam blast is loud and packs a punch. I use this thing to clean and sanitize everything from my bathroom to the kitchen (always sanitize the nozzle with bleach or alcohol after use to avoid cross contamination). Another great feature is all the attachments it comes with so you can steam clean almost anything. My only issue is the quality of some of the attachment. The small brushes and scrub pads aren't really reusable. After the first usage, they start to fall apart, especially the scrub pads which are excellent for cleaning your tub and tile. You can buy more attachments online, but its kind expensive costing 10 for 5. One reason I switched to steam cleaning was to save money on cleaning solutions, but if I have to constantly buy the attachments, eventually it will work out to cost more than the cleaning solutions. I bought this tool to clean 1/2 grout tile floor grout. It worked great for the first 10 minutes, and it would great for the process, except it is not designed properly. I has a special small nozzle head, upon which small brush attachments are placed. There are three pieces, brush, nozzle, and nozzle attachment (to hook to hose or hose extension). The nozzle is made of thermoplastic, like the rest of the unit, except the pressure chamber cap, which is brass. The nozzle needed to be made of brass as well. The thermoplastic heats up, and a threaded piece (with o-ring) when at temperature cannot handle GENTLE scrubbing with the brush. (e.g. for the purpose it is made.) The nozzle fitting jumps the threads every time, once it heats up. So the unit is only good to use for about 10 minutes, before the nozzle gets soft from heat, and falls off constantly. If they made the nozzle out of brass, and the end piece (nozzle attach) out of metal, it would work great. But they didn't, so it is pure frustration to CONSTANTLY put the nozzle on again, and again, and again. This gets 1 star. It works great for 10 minutes, then its useless. If used with the larger attachments, it would probably be a great value; but I need it to clean grout. It says it cleans grout, but it really doesn't.MesaGuy
I've only used the MC1275 once to clean shower floor tile grout using the scrub pad attachment. I filled the steam chamber one time with distilled water, and the steam was ready in approximately 5 minutes. It was easy to control, but did a marginal job restoring the whiteness of the grout. The scrub pad itself came loose and separated completely from its plastic base in under 10 minutes. While the steamer worked as advertised, steaming cleaning the grout didn't live up to my expectations, and the scrub pad's durability was a major disappointment. The good – it produced steam reliably; control is easy to maintain. I like this Dryel At-Home Dry Cleaner System. You can make your clothes last longer by using this system. The booster spray that comes in the box is fantastic for stains. I use it on any clothes that have stains, not just the dry clean only. The cleaning cloths that come in the box also work wonders. This system works because you pretreat with the booster spray (if needed), then you put garments in the bag provided and put one of the cleaning cloths that come in the box. This product cleans well and leaves a pleasant scent. If your cloth cleaning bag begins to take on a dark color wash it in warm or hot water with a little oxy clean and detergent. I have been using this product for years with great results. it is great for blazers and the spot pen really does remove stains. I always use my spray bottle and dampen the items before I put them in the bag. They will come out clean and ready to hang if you get them out immediately when the dryer goes off. 30-40 minutes is all that is necessary but say for example for winter jackets I may keep them in for 50 minutes. We frequently have six grand children running around are house. They mainly stay in the living room where Nana let's them eat snacks! The carpet had noticably dingy traffic areas, spills, and various snack crumbs smashed into the carpet around the coffee table area. As a former professional carpet cleaner of five + years, I am amazed at how well this smart wash carpet cleaner cleaned our carpet! The living room is approximately 13' x 20' and used 2 gallons of hot water with mixed detergent to clean. The traffic areas and spills took multiple passes as expected. 1 gallon of water without detergent was used to rinse the carpet and extract any remaining detergent from the carpet. Rinsing is an important step because detergent is designed to attract dirt and if not rinsed properly, will attract more dirt to the carpet. I was sceptical at first and thought at best the carpet would look "better". However, the hoover smart wash outperformed my expectations and the carpet actually looks clean! I've owned this machine for little over two years now and overall it's been great but there was one issue I had about six months into owning it with the dry only button and I was frustrated but Hoover was awesome about it and sent me a box and return label so they could see the problem and fix it. Not only did they send me a brand new machine, they also sent me my old one fixed and restored! This machine does an amazing job and it's much lighter to push than the older previous models. It takes a little bit getting used to it at first since it operates differently than older models. Once you get used to it, it's easy. One complaint I have is it's a pain having to remove the small cleaning solution container and setting it aside for rinsing with water only. (Note: be sure to place it upside down or it will leak cleaning solution all over the floor) Not a deal breaker but I hope with future models there can be a switch to use clean water only for rinsing. One thing I will stress that helps is to clean out the machine good after every cleaning! With this model it is easy to remove the brushes and the plastic covering them. This particular model has a "dry only" function which did not work on the first unit ordered. It has a circuit board which is either susceptible to damage or manufacturer defect. After going through the gamut of trial and error with customer service, they sent a replacement free of charge.
Here are a few things I've found over the past year of using the unit maybe 10 or 12 times.
The good first.
I like the dry only feature so that way one can use it as a dry vacuum or go over the freshly cleaned carpet to one's heart's content.
It seems pretty light and maneuverable to me and the three agitator brushes do a pretty good job agitating the carpet pile.
Yep, that's about it.
The not so good.
First and foremost there is no way to rinse the cleaning solution mixture from the carpet leaving it behind to dry and attract and hold on to dirt and grime. I used it on a white shag and the tips of the pile turned brown as it dried so I went through the whole process again only this time adding a clean water rinsing step and used my shop vac to remove the rinse water.
Why would I use the Shop-Vac to remove the water you might ask? Because these units do not have enough suction to do the job.
The cleaning solution container does not seal well when removing it from the unit so it tends to get messy and somewhere along the pathway in the unit seems to leak eventually.
The dry only function seems to be malfunctioning or it could be the leaky cleaning solution.
There are a lot of little nooks and crannies to clean after every use if you want to keep it operating as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Ultimately, in my humble opinion, they need to scrap this design and go back to the drawing board. If you remove the cleaning solution container it will make a decent but very expensive vacuum.Andrew

Contrary to what they say, this product is not safe on silk! I had small water stains on 7 of my 100% silk ties. I used this product exactly as instructed and let it stay overnight. This is so easy to use & the results (so far) are very good. Except for the most delicate of my clothes, it's Dryel from now on for apparel & other fabrics that require dry cleaning. The trigger was getting a quote of $30-40 for 2 chair covers from professional cleaners. Very disappointed with this item. It does clean cat messes but not dirt from carpet. Also, what is in the box is not what is pictured on the front of the box. The brush attachment shown is black with a clear front adn 3 rows of red bristles, actual attachment is all clear and has only ONE row of bristles. The attachment is also supposd to have a button to release if from the hose. There is NO button! You cannot remove it unless you pry it off with a screwdriver! The box shows a button and the instructions also show a button. You are supoosed to remove the attachment & hook the hose to the machine to run water through but you can't take the attachment off so you can't clean it. Using a screwdriver to pry it is going the break the cheap plastic attachment. I did try to contact Hoover but the bot said it was too busy and booted me off. Love this wet vac! We just got a new puppy and the only handheld wet vacs like the discontinued Bissell we had in the past are impossible toclean. They don’t come apart like they need to. This Hoover is bigger, but just as portable and does a MUCH better job than the handhelds. It was super easy to set up, and I can’t believe how easy it is to clean after use. The hose cleaning feature is phenomenal and is one of the main reasons I got this over the Bissell Little Green Machine. Well worth the investment to keep my carpets clean while puppy learns how to comply with socially acceptable bathroom norms. I have owned this unit for 5 years after previously owning a Bissel Little Green Machine (the Bissel nosel stopped spraying after a couple years, and unit would constantly leak). About a year ago I noticed it was getting more difficult to place the handle back in the holder (the hose did not stretch as far as it used to). I didn't think much of it, but then. Few months ago I noticed that the hose tore near the sprayer. I loved using this machine, therefore I wanted to try fixing it without having to buy another one. I used hockey tape and that seemed to do the trick. Then about a month ago, I noticed that the hose has also torn right at the base (I am unable to fix this with tape unfortunately). I wrote Hoover about this, however, I am far out of warranty, so there isn't really much they can do. Now I'm trying to decide if I should buy another one or try something new. I've used several brands of dry shampoo over the years. Some are better than others but all have been tolerable for getting rid of the greasies between washes and looking halfway decent. I was excited to try this one because I love Sebastian original hairspray and some of their other products. I tried four times at least before giving up on it. It doesn't get rid of the oil unless you use a fair amount of spray, it takes longer to "dry" before you can use your fingers to shake out the roots, and when it is dry it leaves your hair sticky and almost impossible to brush and very dull looking. It really looks so cool … that next laundry tech step. It looks sleek, though slightly bulky, I believe it is still worth the effort to have found the space for it in our laundry room. It was quite easy to set up; the instructions were clear/complete and the pieces / parts were easily identifiable for installation. Next, I am really impressed by the touch screen control both in quality and ease of use (tech no always my thing …lol). Though I have not yet used it, the styler has smart function capabilities through the LG SmartThinQ application (I look forward to taking this next step in my tech learning curve); but it looks to be one that will add more convenience (alerts and such) in my world. Just a quick note … I am finding the entire system, including accessories such as hangers, trays and shelf are of really good quality … a standard I've always found from LG products. Okay … so now on to the real 'meat of the matter' … the actual features / functions. It has a wonderful refresh function that I use to remove odors from clothing and/or linen type items that I don't want to wash constantly (or pay for dry cleaners so often). I'm even been able to run using my favorite dryer sheets to add a bit of fragrance which is nice for my blankets that have been stored away. Then there's the wrinkle reducer … I really do not like to iron so this function has been a lifesaver to me (uses steam & vibrating hanger)! It also has a 'gentle dry' cycle that has been really nice for items I prefer not to through in the regular dryer like sweaters and other hand washables (you can use the shelf accessory). In addition, it has a sanitize function that I've used to give a good germ/allergy clear for our pillows. So many useful functions! I look forward to exploring more … One last little thought … seems so silly; but they even included a neat laminated reference guide (with a attached little 'rubber sucker) that you can attach to the side of the styler so you don't have to keep up with the whole book. I’ve had this for a year and a half. I’m disabled and it’s a dream to have. I go to the dry cleaners way less. My hands are grateful for not having to iron or hand steam clothes. It did ruin a velvet pillow, it doesn’t have a huge capacity, and is hard to move around. It lets me refresh or dry a last minute decision on an outfit. Did not know about the silk setting you need to download, but whatever they were fine with gentle dry before.Stacie_sci

Never having owned a dehumidifier before, I was very excited to try out, and review Pure’s Puredry Deluxe Dehumidifier. At first I thought I was going to have to spend 30 minutes reading the instructions, but I was wrong, from the time I opened the box to the time I understood this device completely was maybe five minutes. It’s real simple, you plug it in, and there’s three buttons on the top. One button turns on the machine, One button is for high or low speed settings, with the high setting being used for higher humidity levels. the third button is for either a 4 or 8 hour timer, if you do not select a timer, the machine will run continuously till you physically turn it off. The device itself is not very big so it fits almost anywhere, but just big enough so that you know this thing can get rid of moisture at a good rate. It’s also very well-made, i’m impressed of how it looks and feels, the clear container in the back where the water gets collected is pretty nice too. It’s got some fail safe features in case the water fills up completely and you are not home to turn it off or you just don’t notice that it’s full etc. I wanted to wait as long as possible before I submitted my review till I saw results… One hour in and I already have about an ounce of water in the container, I am sold. Before I got this machine I was using disposable moisture eliminator containers, those would take days just to get any results… i’ll be buying a couple of these to give to my mom, family members etc. And for just for reference, I don’t have a huge humidity problem, just pretty average like I’m sure a lot of people out there reading my review.Ernesto
Just received my Pure Enrichment – PureDry Deluxe 1.5L Dehumidifier a few days ago and I am impressed at how powerful this little machine is. First off, it arrived just in time for the most humid time of the year. And when being away from home at long extended times, or simply because its that time of year, having an amazing dehumidifer like the PureDry Deluxe is a must. Right out of the box, this dehumifier is ready to go. And it's so simple and easy to use. Before I get into how to use this (which is simple), I must speak on how nice this thing looks. It's design is very solid and does not feel cheap at all. On top are 3 buttons: * 4H / 8H – this button is a timer button that you can set for either 4 hours or 8 hours of runtime. At which time, the machine will automatically shut itself off. * Power – this is pretty self explanatory. This is what starts your machine up. * L / H – this button refers to how low and high speed of the fan and how fast it collects the water out of the air. On the L setting you can barely hear the fan, but you will hear it on the H setting. However, for me at least, its easy to tune it out At the back of the dehumidifier is the resevoir tank where the water is collected and stored to be poured out when full. The machine will shut itself off when its ready to be emptied and the Power button LED will change from blue to red. So being its pratically summer, and everyone is finally coming out of quarantine, there will be lots of trips taken and lots of people can't afford to leave their AC units running all day, especially when they're not at home. Which means, its most likely will become very hot and humid in our homes. This dehumidifer is ready to do the work and make your home comfortable and less humid. I love the fact that we can set it to run either for 4 hours or 8 hours and it turns itself off, or just hitting the power button and letting it run for as long as it needs until the tank fills up; at which point you simply just empty the tank and keep it going for as long as you need to. Over the last few days this has made our living room, more enjoyable to sit an relax in, especially with all of the direct sunlight that comes into our house. A few years back we purchased the Puredry deluxe dehumidifier as a solution for one of our bedrooms which is humid year round and accumulates a lot of moisture and mildew around the windows, especially during the fall and winter months. This little dehumidifier unit has worked flawlesslsy keeping the humidity down to a manageable level and kept moisture and mildew from forming around the windows. 3 days ago the unit shut itself off (after over 2 years working 4+ hours a day) I couldn't get it to turn back on no matter what troubleshooting steps I tried. first order i had of this product had a stronger smell than the latest ones, the fresh smell lasted longer on the first use, don't know if the formular has been changed used them to freshen up curtains, was very pleased with the first sachets contents, not quite as pleased with second order, although still fresher than before i used them.killick52
This Product definitely beats going to the Dry Cleaners!! But, be careful: The instructions say to use it on 'Medium' heat for 20 Minutes. "I did this and it shrunk my pants in the waist area" I found better results using it on 'Low' heat and check it after 15 minutes. To make sure it is not to Hot. Smells Good!!phuture32
