I recently purchased Boba Botanicals baby diaper rash cream not realizing that it contains hydrogenated vegetable oil. Cheap way to cut corners. Because I didn't do my due diligence I can't return the product so now I'm stuck with it. If hydrogenated vegetable is unsafe to use for cooking why would anyone think it's safe to apply to skin. So many people already know that Castile soap is not tear-free. Although I knew that myself, I still didn’t correlate a wash that has the words “gentle” and “baby” on it to not be tear-free. This got in my daughters eyes and she screamed. Her eyes were so red, water was coming out of her eyes, snot out of her mouth. I felt so horrible. I take responsibility, but since many others will probably make the mistake, I felt obligated to share. I previously only used Aveeno or Honest washes and bubble bath with my son. I was very excited try Babo and thought it would help with some of his dry spots. My daughter is 7 and still gets bad cradle cap type build up on her scalp and behind her ears. I have tried treating it with oil, washing with regular shampoo and with regular anti dandruff shampoo but nothing was working. Then I decided to try this. After one wash it was noticeably better. They changed the formula when they changed the dispenser! I have been using this for going on 5 years, 3 kids later. Now, it settles at the bottom and you have to shake it vigorously to mix for it to settle again immediately after. This item is very gentle on my sons eczema prone skin and it's also Plant-based so back into the plants it goes and they are growing very well. Purchased for my babies cradle cap. We saw immediate results when using it along with Frida Baby Cradle Cap brush set. We used it on baby at every bath, every 2-3 days. I’d say cradle cap on my baby was moderate. It did take time to completely vanish but unsure if it occurred naturally or if Mustella indeed helped. After a bath her scalp was clear and we would see it again the next day. Definitely be consistent with it, but if you are concerned speak to a pediatrician! After weeks, we didn’t see much of the cradle cap, only some dryness (when we stopped using Mustella) that eventually disappeared on its own.
