Best Bike For Over 300 Lbs (2024 Update)

First purchased a Campo, returned same day I received and ordered a black Via. I didnt realize campo did not come with an adjustable stem. which was not a good option especially for the price it retailed. I loved the way Via looked and most of all, it glided so well outdoor with no effort, was very impressed. I also bought a red Urbano which I recieved today. Haven't tried yet but is a beautiful color. I am happy with Via. I think its heavier than Zizzo advertise though.NY1111

I bought this bike over the summer and had several chances to take it out. I am a big guy and the bike has had no problems. The gears are good for flatter riding. Hills can be a bit challenging with the limited gear ratios. All-in-all it is a great bike. Folds quickly and easily. Fits in the trunk of my Mini Countryman with room to spare. No need for a roof rack or other outside the car rack. Could not pass up the deal at BB&B.ericw

We bought this for our daughter. We got it on a discount (RedCard 5% plus Circle 15%). My husband was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the bike, and he knows about bikes. He assembled his own bike from the ground up. He said the welds (seems like thick machine welds), parts, and folding design was really top notch and good value for the price we paid. The pictures do not do it justice, you have to see the bike up close. He did the pre-ride check and there was basically nothing to tighten and adjust, nuts and bolts were tight; brakes were solid; and shifts were accurate. His only comment is that being that it is a folding bike design, it had a different feel (but you will get used to it) from a regular bike when it comes to turning and balancing due to the small wheels and tall handle bar stem. Overall it was a really good buy with the discount and he is thinking about getting the heavy duty Forte (300 lbs. weight limit) for himself if there is a deal or discount at Target again.JDM

Excellent bike. Very smooth riding with a comfortable riding position. Quality parts from Shimano make for fast shifts with good gear range. I ride primary for aerobic exercise and find the bike gives me a great workout while providing a smooth, solid ride. I assembled it myself but needed to have a bike shop to fine tune the front disc brake and true the front wheel in order for the front wheel to spin freely. (Although the bike comes with all the necessary assembly tools (hex wrenches and pedal wrench), the included assembly instructions are not very good w respect to the front wheel / disc brake assembly). But as it turns out Vilano explains that you need to have a bike shop check the assembly in order for the warranty to be valid … not something I knew going in, but the bike shop’s assembly review and front wheel / disc brake tuning ($80) gives me added peace of mind. I should add that Vilano customer service is outstanding. Their toll free phone automated attendant menu could do for a few more option selections to make things more intuitive, but once you get through to the staff they is great. They give you the sense that they are genuinely interested in helping you solve whatever problem you’ have. They listen well, seem to be very knowledgeable about the product and follow up as promised. Overall I’m very pleased with the bike … smooth and solid with good quality parts. We ordered this bike for our teenage son. We added the Pro Build, since we don’t have any close bike shops and we knew he would ride it right away. The bike came on time and packaged neatly. Our son put it together in about 15 minutes and took it out for a ride. So nice that it worked perfectly! Totally worth the slight up charge. I researched bikes in order to find a hybrid bike that delivered more road performance than trail, at a reasonable cost. This one fit the bill and I believe is a clear winner in the price range $300. It does take a while to set up, and you should understand bikes or bring it to a shop to handle that for you. I understand bikes and I still became tripped up on the front derailleur, and it took me a couple days of working on it and reviewing video to first see where I messed up in attempting to fine tune it and then figuring out where to set it back to where it originally was set and then fine tuning it from that point again once I realized that's all it needed. The back derailleur and the disc brakes also needed adjustment and I did fine on them though but again, you need to understand bikes and also to comprehend videos on the subject matter. Took the bike for my first ride recently, so this is a maiden voyage review of approximately 7 to 8 miles on steep hills. It performs admirably on hills, where the 24 gears are a must! The bike is a performer for the price! Tires felt strong, frame is solid, disc brakes are great. The seat may need to be changed out for comfort, however, they are cheap enough and for the price of the bike, should not be considered a deterrent. It is better to NOT have a front shock for more road use, as that absorbs energy going up steep hills and that's what I needed this for. Had the bike pushing 40 m.p.h. or over and was very stable. Be sure to check the wheel hub and brakes prior to doing that though. Five stars for the quality on price point and the outlet shipped it fast and delivery time is reasonable. Remember, assembly IS required. The bike is solid but will need some adjustment once assembled though, so your call on how you do it, yourself or professionally, as it can be quite frustrating. If you were worried about quality, don't, it will get the job done for leisure to intermediate riding endeavors I believe based on my first take. I liked that the bike has a steel fork so road vibrations are at a minimal I would not want an aluminum fork. I like Steel or Carbon. The tires are excellent. The disk brakes work well no squeaks. I thought the 8 speed was a little too slow. It was easy and inexpensive to upgrade using a Microshift 9 speed shifter, Microshift 9 speed cassette and 9 speed chain, I was happy the rear derailleur did not need to be changed! My bike has a strange squeak cranking steep uphills, also the plastic chain guard had to be ripped off as it is garbage and somehow got it self all chewed up in the front crank. I had to rip it off or be stranded, got a little greasy but that chain guard is not needed and a flaw in it's design for sure. I think it is a good bike for what I payed, but I would not buy a Specialized again. Customer service at the bike shop was excellent, Specialized Customer Service lacking, I would not expect much from them.Jeff S.

The cutest bike that ever was. The olive green color is awesome. It's great for quick rides around town and I love the step through design (skirts and heels to dinner are doable!). My boyfriend assembled the bike for me and said it was fairly easy to put together. The metal chain cover arrived bent causing the chain to catch on it. We had to bend and pound the metal piece to fit. Overall the bike is best in my opinion for flat commutes. If I lived somewhere with more hills I'd be bummed because first gear is sometimes not low enough for steeper roads (which compared to other places I've lived are still pretty mellow considering) and I'm not sure the 8 speed would fix that issue. I'm also 5'5" and find the handle bars a tad too far away from the seat, by about an inch. My body position is in this awkward not-leaning-forward-not-sitting upright position, which gets a bit annoying after awhile. That said, for a price tag of under $500 including tax and shipping, I can't complain. It's great for what I wanted and I get compliments everywhere I go 'cause it's cute af.Brittany D.

A very solid bike for the price point. Is it trying to do anything fancy? No, but it is a great option for someone looking to get from A to B without breaking the bank. When I was researching this as a gift for my girlfriend, I noticed a few complaints about the weight and the build quality. To those points, I would say the following: Weight: overall, the bike is not super light, so it can be a little unwieldy when trying to load it into a vehicle. That said, it is not too heavy, and rides fairly smoothly. The bigger factor is how the weight is distributed across the bike (center of gravity, in essence). Most of the weight feels like it sits between the rider and the rear wheel, with the front feeling very light in comparison. This is not an issue in any way, but it does create a bit of a learning curve for cornering, as well as for stopping on down-slopes. Just be aware that it will take some getting used to. Build quality: lined up with what I would expect for the price point. The frame and primary components seem solid, and while some of the smaller nuts and bolts for things like the fenders are a little on the soft side, they didn't present any issue for me on install. As a side note, I did the initial assembly of the bike upon receipt just to make sure nothing was missing or obviously damaged, but I took it to a shop for final alignment, tightening, and tuning setup. There were no issues to be found, and it was pretty intuitive to assemble, to the point where I almost didn't need the instructions. What I will say is that the brakes needed significant adjustment out of the box, which is part of the reason I entrusted the initial setup to professionals. My GF and I have ridden the bike several times now on variable length trips (1 mile – 20 miles), and the bike performed reasonably well for all use cases. The seat did get a touch uncomfortable toward the end of the 20 mile trip, but not to the point of being unbearable (I should also mention that this is coming from the stance of someone who is not used to sitting on bike seats for any length of time). It rides and shifts well through the midrange gears, but gets a bit noisy in the lowest gear, and the highest gear is feels like it really only wants to be used when going down a pretty steep hill to try to build speed. The weight in the tail is also very noticeable when climbing steep grades, encouraging the rider to lean forward more than usual, but not to an uncomfortable degree. Overall, this is a very usable and well priced bike. It isn't perfect, but it exceeded my expectations. I have not had it long enough to comment on long term reliability/ serviceability. P.S. I would strongly consider upgrading the brakes if planning to use this bike in hilly environments or as a daily rider, just for a bit of extra stopping power and response. Firstly, the parcel was sent in the thinnest, least-protective box imaginable. I've gotten Amazon boxes of cotton balls more fortified. It was also shipped via FedEx Home Delivery, which means it was subject to a contractor's whims and handled roughly. It not only came late, but the box had several large holes and I'm pretty sure some of the hardware fell out in the process because it was missing two bolts. The derailleur hanger was bent upon receipt as a result of banging around for days and days in transit. Now I have to spend additional money and time having it repaired. They quoted us $100. Retrospec did refund just under that, so they did make it right in that regard, but it's now been two weeks and I haven't gotten to ride my bicycle once. I can't review the actual bike yet, but I wanted to call out the shoddy box and the choice to use FedEx instead of UPS, which is consistently better for packages like this. Just a bit of extra padding, especially for models with a delicate derailleur, and I would have been singing its praises and having fun on my vacation instead of feeling sad every time I see someone else enjoying a bike. That said, the color is beautiful. The saddle and grips are rather cheap-looking, but those can be replaced.Jessica M.

probably have to tinker with it a little to get it just so, the seat… probably needs a better one… if u value your assets, tighten ALL the fitting on it with the appropriate size wrench (u do have tools, yes? ) I will probably get a CHEAP/WIDE $5 inner tube, cut the valve stem out of it and use it as a tread/tube liner so that thorns do not puncture the tire/tube; put it between the inner tube that is in there and the BACK tire… as I wud any bike as thorns are prevalent here and fixing 7 flats in 3 days because I was CHEAP and didn't get the HEVI WATE INNER TUBES on my last NEW bike was …. and education to do IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME so I didn't have to do it again… and again and again. SLIME is hard to get into the tires through the NARROW hole in the air thingy even with the Schrader valve removed. LOCKS, U LOCKS AND HEVI WATE CHAIN… if u want to keep the bike; as sometimes they ride off by themselves if left anywhere. cable "locks" are ornaments (don't ask how I KNOW this) and not worth throwing out. some gearheads have taken the bearings apart and greased them and have said they are tightened TOO TIGHT from the factory, but DO NOT LOSE THE BEARINGS!!! carpet catches bearings, hard floors=scattered bearings=bad. tires are said to be HEAVY compared to after market, but that is not all bad as once get the tires rolling… INERTIA KEEPS THEM ROLLING with a little effort so that is good. like kicking the clutch out on a BIG TRUCK on the highway… it will coast a LONG WAY with all that weigh/inertia built up in its mass/wheels/tires.18LiterDETROITDIESEL

First of all, it sure is a slap in the face to see the price drop $17 just two weeks after I got it. Now then, my experience has been much the same as other reviews. It is a barely "OK" bike, I guess for the money nowadays. It is built and billed as a "Mountain Bike" which is the furthest thing I intend to use it for. From what I gather, you would have to add another zero to the price to get a genuine, usable mountain bike. I am 68 years old wanting to get some exercise. And when I saw this Fat Tire bike, I had to have it. It is the closest I have seen to the old (even then) bike I had as a kid in the fifties and sixties. I will probably end up spending as much extra to make the bike marginally usable, as the bike cost to start with. It is in the shop right now and I'm not doing that much yet. The seat if terrible. The brakes, we'll have to see after they are adjusted right. I have a new seat ready to put on when I get it back. I had the shop put on a steering riser (probably not right term) to raise the handlebars. Keeping original bar for now but may have to replace that too. And replacing the brake levers. If the brakes don't improve (a lot!!) I'll either replace them, or sell the whole bike and get something else. I even got new pedals. The reflectors on the original pedals break off easily. The shifter is a PITA because it wants to change as you are gripping the bar. It should have been a lever or something. And high gear is not even as high as my old single speed. What good is THAT? I guess what it boils down to is that it is impossible to buy a Fat Tire Mountain Bike for $200 that is not a joke even for just plain riding down the street, let alone riding in the mountains.Tinman98

Due to its tubular steel frame, the 26 inch Mongoose Dolomite seven speed fat bicycle is heavier than 26 inch fat bicycles constructed of aluminium or carbon fiber. However, a new aluminium fat bicycle frames will cost no less than $900.00; carbon fiber fat bicycle frames prices start at about $2,000. As a direct result of the enormous price difference I decided to purchase the Dolomite just to try out a fat bicycle with the full entention of purchasing a far more expensive model if I enjoyed the larger design. I was surprisingly blown away! The Dolomite had arrived at my front door in only two days. I discovered assembly to be rather simple, but as a safety measure I walked the Dolomite ten blocks to my neighbourhood bicycle repair store for an overall examination; at the bicycle shop both disc brakes were properly calibrated, grease was added to the handle bar support collar, a water bottle cage was placed onto the frame, tires were inflated to proper pressure and then were placed in their recommended rotational direction. Finally, the seat pole was adjusted to a safe and comfortable height. I paid my service charge, quickly place my helmet on and then brought my bicycle onto the New York City streets. The ride was so comfortable due to the large amount of inflated rubber between the road bed and the large 4 inch rims. In addition, at slow speeds and at accelerated speeds the tires are constantly providing exceptional traction; I remained in full control of the bicycle as I effortlessly floated above the New York City man hole covers, large steel plate covers, pot holes and the ubiquitous sewer drainage grids. The weight of the bicycle is an attribute when descending steep hills, but when ascending hills be prepared to pump vigorously. The gears do shift rather accurately to their corresponding numbers, but not the smoothest shift. Due to its price, aesthetics, quality of design and durability I strongly recommend the Mongoose Dolomite Men's 7 Speed Bicycle.JNemorin

I wanted a sturdy and rugged ebike I could use on any terrain. Although I ride on mostly paved surfaces, I know riding on anything else is a possible option now. The Warrior is a heavy ebike and it feels like a quiet powerful tank on two wheels. I changed my tires to a smoother tread pattern and less rolling resistance, upgraded my seatpost to a Redstop Shockstop seatpost, changed my seat to a more comfortable one, and upgraded my battery to the one with an estimated 70 mile range. The battery is very expensive, but it is worth the upgrade if you want to decrease the chances of running out of power in unchartered areas. The upgraded battery is available on QuietKat.com. It sales out quickly. I am now very satisfied with a more comfortable ride and a much better battery. I can ride on level 2 about 7 to 8 miles before the upgraded battery gets down to 99%. I am the Chief Ranger of one of the busiest recreation destinations on the east coast. I needed a rugged ebike for staff to navigate our complex network of carriage roads. I am glad to have found Quietkat. The ranger is exactly what we needed. We can get through our mountainous terrain with ease, and have a battery we trust for long days. You can feel and see the quality. The petal assist is powerful enough, but the throttle really throws you back when speed is needed. My ride has been very comfortable. I wanted to love this bike; it seems like specialized had me personally in mind when designing this. An entry-level bike of the highest quality; light and fast but ready to bunny hop a curb or bomb a sand trap on an unimproved sidewalk. The chain falls off- Any hard bump, a root, EVERY time I ride off a curb. You jump off a curb when you need to cross a street but suddenly the pedals don't work. $200 microshift advent 9 w/clutch drivetrain fix. The climbing gears work, but even down a long bridge, I can't break 35mph. $50 front sprocket; $75 trials bars. $200 dropper post. I like the stock tires for strictly city riding, but that's not what the X does, and the tubes aren't particularly light or durable. $100 for pirelli and tubolito. Looking at other brands' gravel offerings in the $1400 range, the sirrusX2.0 no longer makes much sense. Based on my experience with the LBS, I will be ordering a bike in a box next time. 400 mile off road update to my previous review. I mounted a 45c WTB Riddler up front and a 45c Rambler on the rear and now ride primarily hardpack trails and smooth single track chasing Strava scores. I live and ride in a very competitive area of Denver where many pros and high level amateur MTB riders train and race. The trails are smooth, twisty and dry; perfect conditions for a flat bar hybrid like the Sirrus X 4.0 that combines gravel bike efficiency with an MTB attack position for aggressive cornering. I've earned three KOMs on this bike, and am sitting at #2 of 3,100 riders on a fast twisty downhill segment. I've earned several top 5% to 10% scores in twisty single track segments of a heavily ridden race course. Did I mention I'm 54 and weigh 190 pounds? Admittedly, this old Clyde is only running at the 60th percentile on climbs, but the Sirrus X is so light and efficient that it makes me look like a decent climber. This bike rocks with good ergos and adequate bottom bracket height for hard pedaling through corners. The geometry is ideal for twisty single track at 15 to 25 mph, and the Future Shock/carbon fork take just enough of the edge off the bumps without robbing any pedalling efficiency or handling precision. The two negatives to this bike are the wheel set and the gearing. The 24/28 spoked wheels are light. but a bit flimsy for a bike touted as a go anywhere type of ride. They require frequent truing if you ride hard. The gearing is a bit of a tweener that is too low for fast road riding, yet it could use one lower gear for steep climbs offroad. Otherwise, I've had no problems with loosening crank arms or any atypical issues. Sure, the shift assembly came loose and the spokes need frequent attention, but that has been my experience with any bike ridden hard and aggressively. I love this bike an I'm having a very hard time convincing myself that I could be faster or more efficient on MTB trails with an Epic Hardtail or Chisel.Highlands Rancher

The bike itself is great. It is very smooth and light. Seems to shift well and has needed no adjustments yet. The saddle is extremely hard. I believe giant should ask what size saddle you would like because they definitely are not one size fits all. I am not a large person but more attention should go into the saddle. The handgrips are uncomfortable as well. I bought my wife a LIV Alight and her grips are very nice. I'm happy with the bike but feel like Giant could have spent a little more time on the saddle and grips.D Muscle

Good bike overall. First thing is that it's much "blacker" in person than online. The online pic makes it look kind of metallic grey but it's really metallic black, or at least very dark grey, very very dark. Very stealth! Second it's a good overall bike. I had the Escape 3 disc last year, because post-covid you had to take what you could get, but it got stolen (my own stupidity). The front-end on the disc version was ridiculously heavy – overbuilt steel fork and heavy mechanical disc breaks (stay away from "entry-level" disc breaks, esp mech disc. "Light; strong; cheap: Pick 2"). The fork on this version is much better. It's still steel (but go for the carbon one if you can on the Escape 1) but it's somewhat lighter and the bike rolls better and handles/steers much better as well. The disc version steered like a boat with its big, heavy fork. This one is much better. It's a little heavy because it's a hybrid with entry-level parts (at least they're mostly Shimano) but it's nicely balanced at least. This is actually my 3rd Giant Escape (had an Escape 0 before with 10-spd Deore). I like them because they fit me well (fit is the #1 thing on a bike. Well fit and weight), last long and are well balanced. Good bike overall. I will say that I'm not to happy with the recent trend (and not just post-covid as it was happening before) in bike pricing in that you now have to pay well over a grand to get at least Deore. I blame disc brakes (also, entry-level disc breaks on anything other than a mountain bike, or if you're consistently riding in the rain, are useless – heavy and mechanical. Rim breaks are perfectly fine, esp linear pull. We rode on linerar pull rim breaks on mountain bikes for years and had to use a regulator on hybrids because they were too strong). Overall I'd recommend this Bike. I'd give it an A for what it is (entry-level hybrid). But, again, go for the Escape 1 if you can as it has a composite fork and hydraulic disc brakes. Enjoy!psmith

This bike is good for the price and works really well for the intended purpose. Even the V-brakes are good enough for urban riding, which is what I guess most of us are going to use it. Stock tyres roll well, have flat protection, but need some caution on wet roads. The saddle was a very pleasant surprise. It's firm but extemely comfortable even with jeans. No need for chamois. My main gripe is the entry level transmission which is noisy and not so reassuring. Rear derailleur is fully plastic so won't stand much abuse. The other complaint is the terrible, terrible grips. Overall it's a good commuter but if you can afford it go for a pricier model for better components. Otherwise it's good for the price.Mits

The bike was very well packed with foam everywhere, love it! My family used to own a bike shop and I was the head mechanic so I’m very familiar with any kind of assembly although what is left to assemble out of the box would be straight forward and simple for anyone. The bike is extremely sturdy with above average components. Once I fully charged the battery I headed out for a spin and was surprised at how quick it was off the line. 0-20 in 3 seconds easy. I want to start off easy and break the motor and battery but I was able to accelerate to just above 25 mph with ease. 👍 The disc brakes work excellent and I’m sure they’ll stop even better once broken in. The super cruiser handled nicely with a smooth ride on the 4” fat tires. I was also able to test it on a few semi steep hills in my neighborhood. No problem! I received my bike about 2 weeks ago and it is better than expected. The quality in the important places is good to very good. A few cheaper parts only where it doesn’t matter. I am a big guy and it still goes very fast with great acceleration. The range is also pretty good -I got 20 miles of rough riding Nd still had 3 bars left. All in all a good product.Armand B.

I absolutely love this bike! I was a little worried about getting a single speed but so glad I did. The bike was shipped to my home so I had to assemble it, adjust the brakes and chain tension, and it was good to go. Everything on the bike works really well. The gearing on the bike is 36:18 / or the standard single speed 2 to 1 ratio, meaning for every 1 turn of the peddles the tires turns 2 times and feels so good. There is a small half mile mountain bike trail near my home and this bike handles it way betterMark

The bike looks beautiful and light weighted just as what I expected. But after assembling it and trying it on the road for the first day, I found that the front wheel tire went flat. I had to return it immediately to save the trouble of exchanging the tire. All the bike shops are fully booked for services. I don’t want to wait any more time just to change the tire. I was surprised at how good the quality of this bike, specially for the price. The parts and the build is very good. So far no issues with the bike after riding it every day for two weeks. It feels like my old Jamis road bike except the bar is straight and the bike is meant for comfort but also does have the speed if you need to. If you are looking for a daily bike for your daily commute or maybe fitness, this bike is worth checking.MSG21

I have broken multiple personal bests for distance traveled after I began riding this bike. It has taken me to many places with ease and the posture I maintain on this well-designed bike makes every ride relaxing. The gears are very smooth and the wheels give me a great feel for the road. The more I ride this bicycle, the more I like it; however, it has had its share of problems. I ordered the bicycle online and picked it up at my local store. Being mechanically inclined, I requested that the store not assemble the bicycle and I assembled the bike, myself. The headset came installed from the factory so tightly in the head tube that I could barely turn the fork by hand. I decided to disassemble it and noticed that the bearings did not appear to have any grease. The front fender also had a small dent in it, even though there was no damage to the box. The dent does not touch the tire and does not effect its functionality, so I decided not to return the bike or complain about it. On my first ride, I noticed that the coaster brake was sticking. When coming to a complete stop, it would not release until pedaling forward again. If I would get off of the bicycle after a complete stop, and push it forward, the rear wheel would drag. I decided to repack all of the bearings with marine grease, as well as disassemble and re-grease the coaster brake. (If you are not familiar with how coaster brakes work, I would not recommend disassembling one.) I have had no problems with the bicycle since then and have put about fifty miles on this bike, so far. I am surprised by how tall the bicycle stands. With the seat adjusted to the lowest level, it is almost too tall for me. The seat is about 33" high at its lowest. The handlebars are also wide, with an overall width of 30". I had to make the hex cap bolts extra tight because the handlebars had a tendency to twist downward when standing to pedal up hill. The bicycle is also very long. From the tip of the front wheel to the end of the rear wheel, it is more than 6' (about 75"). These are things to consider if you anticipate transporting the bicycle inside a vehicle like a station wagon. I transport mine on a bicycle rack or on my trailer. The tube of the handlebars is about an inch in diameter, which is larger than most. Trying to find a bell with a clamp that opens to that large of a diameter has been difficult. The "warts" that I encountered on this bicycle were minor for me, considering how cheap the bicycle is, but these could be major complaints for someone who is not familiar with working on bicycles. Since I assembled the bicycle myself, I cannot say whether these are things that in-store assemblers would address. I like the feel of the bicycle when I ride it and it is a comfortable ride.BargainHunter

Returned after one day. Not Walmart or Manufacturer fault. See complete review for more detail, in the end the bike was simply too tall for my 5'8" frame. Unable to straddle the bike flat footed without the frame, umm, 'digging in'. Felt like I was a little boy riding my dad's big bike. The bike description on Walmart.com does state that the bike is designed for riders 6' and taller…they mean it! Nice bike shipped and delivered promptly by Walmart and FedEx. Tracking system (Walmart) could be updated, not updated or synced with FedEx or whatever very well. Nevertheless the bike showed up on time/date as promised. Cons: * Bike seemed to be packaged alright but the paint job showed many rub marks and a few scratches. I can live with this, it was a long boat ride from China! * Front tire had 'blown' during manufacture or shipping and was partially off the rim with a blown tube on delivery. In hopes of the bike working out I just replaced the tube with a new one from Walmart. The rear tire had 35 psi in it when delivered. * Front reflector bracket was broken on delivery. No biggie. * Fenders required mounting and were askew. It was simple to correctly align/adjust the fenders although it left bare metal exposed at the adjustment points (screw/brackets). Again, not that big a deal. Pros: * Nice bike, seemed of nice quality construction (welds, components). * Love the 29" wheels and overall posture of this bike. *Easy assembly. Local Walmart store accepted my return without question. I would have definitely kept this bike if it weren't for the size. Despite the adjustments and having to replace the front inner tube on arrival it was a good product. I'll actually be shopping for a 26" bike now and maybe a 3-speed to help with some mild elevation changes here locally.Chucky

This bike is great for new to intermediate riders. It is an XC bike with spot on geometry for various types of riding. The Microshift Advent drivetrain gives you plenty of range. The main thing holding this bike back is the coil spring fork but it is really the same fork you’ll find on any bike in this price range. Plus you can upgrade it over time and this frame is a solid platform to do just that.Brian

Love it. It's well equipped at a great price. Can't beat it. Also can appreciate the aggressive modern hardtail geometry. My only gripe is with the budget spring fork but that can eventually be changed. It has at least 120 mm of travel were most bikes in this category only have 100. Overall the bike is great and plan on upgrading it over time as parts wear.Cameron

This is a really well-equiped bike for the price and a beautiful bike as well. I'm actually converting it to an e-bike so I was looking for good geometry, a stout frame, and good quality components. I liked it so much I bought a second one for my wife! I'm not looking for high downhill speeds so the hardtail is my preference and it will be a hoot to ride with a Bafang motor on it. I wanted a sturdy and rugged ebike I could use on any terrain. Although I ride on mostly paved surfaces, I know riding on anything else is a possible option now. The Warrior is a heavy ebike and it feels like a quiet powerful tank on two wheels. I changed my tires to a smoother tread pattern and less rolling resistance, upgraded my seatpost to a Redstop Shockstop seatpost, changed my seat to a more comfortable one, and upgraded my battery to the one with an estimated 70 mile range. The battery is very expensive, but it is worth the upgrade if you want to decrease the chances of running out of power in unchartered areas. The upgraded battery is available on QuietKat.com. It sales out quickly. I am now very satisfied with a more comfortable ride and a much better battery. I can ride on level 2 about 7 to 8 miles before the upgraded battery gets down to 99%. I no longer have range anxiety that I had with the stock battery.Marcus

I am the Chief Ranger of one of the busiest recreation destinations on the east coast. I needed a rugged ebike for staff to navigate our complex network of carriage roads. I am glad to have found Quietkat. The ranger is exactly what we needed. We can get through our mountainous terrain with ease, and have a battery we trust for long days. You can feel and see the quality. The petal assist is powerful enough, but the throttle really throws you back when speed is needed. My ride has been very comfortable. Purchased and picked up bike as planned. Staff was great to work with but quality of bike assembly was disappointing. Brake cable not routed correctly for front fork. Loose cable for derailleur resulting in poor shifting. Dropper seat cable with little tension. Easy to fix myself and bike is running great. Usually set up is much better when purchasing bikes in this class.Kevin B.

Overall, I was pleased with this bicycle. I very much liked the click gear shifters and the road tires. After hitting a pothole on one of our local, poor-quality Illinois service roads and seeing my first flat, I was surprised. After removing the tire and tube, I noticed a metal shaving from the air valve hole still resting within the wheel! I would not have expected that kind of sloppiness from a Schwinn, even if they are all made in China now. That aside, the bike is a real pleasure, and my travel times have definitely improved against my cheap Wal-Mart Roadmaster! If you don't mind some tinkering with the brakes and a little assembly on arrival, it's hard to beat the overall quality.misterb-13

This is a very good bike for the price. Target card gives you a 5%discount, which is a plus. For a 1st road bike, i would recommend this bike. Only 2 reasons why I do not give it 5 stars is because of the following reason: 1) I cannot give it 4.5 2) some issues with the gears and breaks which need to be tweaked. I would recommend taking it to the bike shop if you can for assembly. I work on cars, and this didn't scare me so I worked it out myself. With the price in mind, you will be hard pressed to get an equivalent bike for the price. If you have $400-500 to spend or want to spend at least that much, then go for something else like a Trek or Specialized.TKam DE

Its true, this is the one. The Vtuvia SF20 step thru folding fat tire ebike its badass. It looks badass because it is. I charged the battery while assembly was in progress. Had a bit a trouble with the front wheel due to bkake piston blocking disc while trying to attach to fork blah blah anyway, slid the battery in turned the key and twisted the throttle…its been nothing but smiles outa me and no im spending time being chased down by curious strangers..this thing selks itself. Best thing ive purchased in YEARS. I feel like a kid again. Guaranteed to make everyone smile. Scary fast for a bike. My wife and I each have one and we love them. It is perfect for navigating the hills in San Francisco, which we have trouble with on normal bikes. One things I wish they could improve on is a basket for the front that would work with the head lite. The throttle to get some speed up before starting up hills is also great. Additionally I like the reasonable price, the five assist gears, seven regular bike gears, the very stable fat tires, the great lights, the step thru. It is so much fun and we do get our exercise.Steve

I love my bike! Absolutely love the red color. We watched the video to put the bike together. Highly recommend doing this. Very easy to ride with the pedal assist. I had to make changes; I purchased a new seat post and new seat. The website indicated for riders 4' 9' – 6'2'. This is definitely not the case! I am 4' 11" and I could not touch the ground while sitting on the seat. Even with my new seat post and seat, I am on tippy toes. I asked them to change their website to reflect 5'2" which they have done so others will know. My husband loves the bike too. He is 6' and fits him fine with the seat up. Customer Service has been great. Quickly responds to questions or assistance.Diane C.
