I took this supplement before and understanding as with most vitamins and supplements in order for them to remain effective, or to see the benefits, you must keep taking them and this one is no exception. About 3 weeks after I tried them for about 3 months I noticed my hair texture change and thinning started again. Unfortunately none of the products worked for me. I’ve been taking the DHT blocker, NutraM, EFA complete, NutraM serum, and using the laser cap twice weekly (basically, every product available) for several months yet none of these products have made a difference in my hair shedding or regrowth. I’m a 56 year old woman and the last couple of years I’ve noticed clumps of hair in the tub everytime I shower. I do have long hair but the clumps of hair fall was something new. ACTUALLY WORKS!!! I have hair to my hips and noticed significant thinning within the past 6 months or so. I started using these vitamins after being told about them by not one, but TWO dermatologists out of separate offices where I have gotten my routine skin checks. I went ahead and tried it despite the hefty price tag (about $80 per bottle which is a one month supply). The bottle contains 120 capsules, so four pills a day. According to the label the potency is so high that I went ahead and started using half of the recommended dose, or two pills a day instead of four. Since I have acne prone skin I didn’t want to take an excessive amount of biotin which can make my acne worse (and deeper). Just two pills a day for almost one month and I have baby hairs growing back where my hairline has been receding! It’s incredible! Pills are easy to swallow, great ingredients with no clean fillers. I don't really do reviews but I have to for this product. After the first month, my nails had grown quite a bit and my skin actually improved, a positive side effect I guess. I'm almost halfway through my second month so here is my own personal experience. My eyebrows have grown back in spots where overzealous threaders took too much off the ends of my eyebrows. Once I tried this product after month two or three I could see lots of baby hair growing. My hair felt fuller and not a stand and dry as it had been. After using it for 6- 7 months. I was taking Nutrafol and, in about a few days, my hair started shedding like crazy. In addition, my hair became thinner. ACTUALLY WORKS!!! I have hair to my hips and noticed significant thinning within the past 6 months or so. I started using these vitamins after being told about them by not one, but TWO dermatologists out of separate offices where I have gotten my routine skin checks. I went ahead and tried it despite the hefty price tag (about $80 per bottle which is a one month supply). The bottle contains 120 capsules, so four pills a day. According to the label the potency is so high that I went ahead and started using half of the recommended dose, or two pills a day instead of four. Since I have acne prone skin I didn’t want to take an excessive amount of biotin which can make my acne worse (and deeper). Just two pills a day for almost one month and I have baby hairs growing back where my hairline has been receding! It’s incredible! Pills are easy to swallow, great ingredients with no clean fillers. I really wanted to love this conditioner. I am 39, with fine, curly 3A hair that is beginning to thin. I am transitioning to natural hair and have begun co-washing. Finding a growth stimulating conditioner that doesn’t require a shampoo is harder than you’d think! This conditioner ticked so many boxes. And it actually left my hair feeling wonderfully soft. Soft enough that I didn’t mind the slightly medicinal scent. Sadly, after only a couple of uses, my skin near the hairline, my back, and even my ears started to break out horribly. Tiny, itchy, bumpy acne so inflamed that I had to wear foundation for the first time in years and basically went into hiding. Even my ear LOBES broke out. I have always been sensitive to ingested biotin, being one of the unlucky few that gets terrible breakouts, but I thought using it topically might have a different reaction. And honestly, I’m not sure that it was even the biotin. All I know is the one con seriously outweighed all the pros I encountered. It gets two stars because I respected the ingredients, was reasonably priced, and actually did leave my hair feeling great. I sadly could not use it long enough to attest to the growth stimulation.
This shampoo and conditioner is amazing and making changes to my hair. I wash it twice, once to get the dirt etc, out then again so the shampoo can do its job also once a month i leave conditioner in for 20 mins with shower cap on for a deep treatment only been using a few weeks and hair transforming. In mature years so many changes to the hair but this product is solving a lot of problems especially thining due to less hormones. A permanent fixture in my cupboard. Expensive? yes of course!!! if you want the best you have to pay for it same as eveything in life "you only get what you pay for".

I received this product for free from Influenster and Dr. Berg Haircare in exchange for my honest review of the product. I tried using the product several times, alternating how much of the serum I used each time. I did not like the feeling of the serum in my hair, and it seemed difficult to get wash out. The serum felt very oily and greasy feeling while in my hair and it took several washes to get it out. The instructions say to massage it into your scalp for 10-15 minutes. I’m not sure about others, but there was no way I was going to spend 10-15 minutes massaging it in. I have used other serums and never had to massage it in for that long. I recently had issues with low vitamin D levels which caused my usually thick, long, healthy hair to become lifeless, dry, and caused lots of hair loss so was excited to recieve this product to try. Okay so first off, the directions are a bit of a turn off. Massage it for 10-15 mins on your scalp? That’s a long time. I did maybe 3 and that was enough for me. Next the scent, not my favorite but bearable. The feel, well…. It’s oil so I expected it to feel oily but this coated my skin and I had to wash my hands twice pretty thoroughly and they still felt a bit oily afterwards. Didn’t really sink in, just sits on top. My hair did look nice and shiny the next day and my scalp felt good and I didn’t see any flakes so it did it’s job. Would I repurchase myself? Only been using it about a month, so, don't know yet about regrowth, but I've stopped getting handfuls and brushfuls of hair. Makes it feel fuller, as well. The shampoo is very concentrated, doesn't take a lot, but the conditioner tends to be lacking. Takes a lot of product, and it doesn't feel that "conditioned", but I'm going to keep on track until I find out if there is regrowth or not. I have taken Biotin to help with hair growth for a couple of months. I am trying this Folexin from Vita Balance. The requested dosage is 2 a day with a meal but not within an hour of other medications. I take 2 capsules at lunch because I have no medications that I take at lunch. I drink a full glass of water with them. I do notice that my hair seems to be thicker in some areas. Your results could be different than mine.Texasroseinok
I was really hopeful about trying this product. My hair has thinned a lot with age. I wasn't necessarily expecting stronger hair growth but my hope was that it would strengthen the hair I have and help keep it from shedding so much. Sadly, it didn't work for me. I was very surprised with this product because I take the vitamins Viviscal, and love the results. I was expecting the same results from this serum. When you apply the serum on wet hair, and you try to blow dry it, your hair feels like wet wood? I can't explain it??? Very difficult to blow dry it literally brakes your hair. I would not recommend this product to my family or friends.
This product may work but it is hard on color treated hair. I purchased more along with the shampoo and conditioner. I never tried the shampoo and conditioner or the second bottle of the Elixir. I have very fine, thin hair so I'm always looking for something that will help. This wasn't it. It did nothing to enhance the appearance or texture of my hair. Like most products, it takes months of consistent use to see any improvement in growth/thickness. This wasn't something I wanted to use for a long time. It made my scalp itchy and the fragrance wasn't appealing to me.

I have been using this product for a few years. I am a female, with male pattern hairloss. This supplement has not stopped the hair loss, but it has slowed it down. Combined with a laser comb, and DHT blocking shampoo, I have been able to slow down the hair loss. I wish I had tried all these things sooner.
