Out of the box, the vacuum was great. Sucked up everything. Within a month, it was basically a glorified hand vacuum. The only way I can get it to do anything is to use remove the hose and the attachments. The actual suction when using it upright is terrible. It vibrates like a dolphining F1 race car, makes a hideous popping and hissing sound from the side, and worst of all, leaves fuzz, dirt , and giant hard balls of lint all over my floors rather than actually cleaning them. Using this vacuum is more work than simply using a broom and a hand held dirt Devil. Customer service was helpful in trying to fix the issues but the suggested solve didn't work. The vacuum is a lemon…complete waste of the time and money spent.Card Lady
It does quality performing for pet hair to include the turbo extension tool for upholstery. DO READ ALL the instructions so you know how to properly use it. Don't assume! The tools are ill placed with the placement and storage of the electrical cord (always falling off). The telescope for the hose to attachments doesn't lock properly and always ALWAYS pushing back in. I don't have an issue with pet hair on the roller getting stuck, but I do with human hair and any amount of length to trash. The spot where the hose connects to the canister is constantly getting clogged because it is small and narrow, needs to be wider. Pay CLOSE attention when taking the filter out of the canister and putting it back; there is a reason it is meticulously marked. The alignment must be perfect or it won't go back together properly; this is the same for everything on the vacuum. Hard to push when vacuuming (hence one of the reasons I said to read instructions carefully)? You have to provide some air to release the amount of suction, so it moves easier with the little knob on the left; by the way, it moves also on its own.feltermail
Within 1 minute of its' first use this model #2475 Pet Hair Eraser Turbo had its' brush roll stop spinning before a small 10×10 foot area was complete. The belt assembly is centre mounted so debris from both sides of the brush roll collects towards its' centralized belt motor which sits open with nothing to protect it from debris. This results in it being the furthest thing from the "tangle free" unit it is advertised as. Removal of the head screws holding the bottom cover in place is quite easy so I was able to see what was causing the jam (see picture attached). The manufacturer claims the unit can accept hair length of 4-8 inches. The longest of the hairs in this pictures is 3 inches, so the job in question should have been well within the manufacturer's guidelines. Upon reassembling the base the unit promptly got jammed a second time. After once again removing the clog I decided to give it a different task, cleaning hardwood. This unit has a key feature for those with hardwood floors, its' brush can turn on/off, saving your hardwood from being scratched by the roller. Sadly there is very little suction (see video attached). I found without the brush roll spinning the machine picks up essentially nothing. The last major feature this unit is its' heavily marked "pet hair eraser" attachments. The Pet Turbo Eraser" is nothing more than the same "turbo brush" or "handi-mate" that has been commonplace on vacuum's since the 1950's. The "two in one" pet brush is a traditional fabric brush as is the crevice tool. There is nothing fundamentally different with these attachments than what is industry standard from most vacuum suppliers. I've had Bissell units before, the last being the significantly cheaper "Clearview Alergen Lift-Off Pet Upright Vaccuum." It lasted 2 years before dying a few weeks after its warranty expired precipitating the purchase of this Turbo model. All in all a poor vacuum. Don't buy this.Jimmy

I feel bad that I keep telling my mom it's great. When in fact, it's the worst vacuum cleaner ever! My wind tunnel was going out and I've been sick and the stress of trying to find a good lawyer for this malpractice case is tiring. It does pick up dog hair and no bags to change are the only 2 good things it does. It doesn't pick up anything else. If something hard and plastic gets sucked in, the noise is so loud bouncing off everything, only to come back again. The handle isn't long enough. And the cord gets run over. One hook on the vacuum for the cord to fall down and get in the way. I wish I could exchange it for a better vacuum.
Vacuum worked in steaks so you have to run it over the same spot over and over to get the whole even just a small area. The pet hair attachment broke pretty quickly after purchase. The accordion tubing connecting the arm tore in multiple places, we had to tape it repeatedly to retain suction because it kept breaking in different places. We have two huskies and vacuum like 2-3 times a week so it’s not like we used it incessantly. The final straw was another broken spot in the tubing which then kept disconnecting from the handheld attachment. Overall, did not stand up to any normal wear and tear, not sustainable for the price. You will be amazed how much your previous vacuum has missed once you start using this wonder. We have two cats and three dogs-a golden retriever and border collie who are shed machines-and I seemed to be constantly chasing hair tumbleweeds. The first time I used the vacuum on my 9x7rug, I had to empty the canister twice. That would have been two bags with the last vacuum. We have 2 cats (one black fur, one white fur. So no hiding their shedding). For the price this vacuum is awesome. It picks up dirt and pet hair well (both from shaggy and short carpet). I love the upholstery attachment. It does wonders getting all the cat hair stuck in the couch cushions out. When they say that hair won’t wrap around the brush, they are speaking the truth. On my previous vacuum I had to cut the hair out twice a week. For this one I haven’t had any hair wrap around the brush yet! If I had anything negative to say it would be that it’s a little heavier to push and handle and the plastic parts are not as good of a quality as the $400 shark I’ve had before. But that’s nitpicking and comparing it to something's more than twice the price. If you have owned really expensive vacuums before, yeah, it’s noticeable that this one isn’t a $400+ vacuum, but it vastly exceeded my expectations.Formercouchpotato
This vacuum is just ok at best. When I first used it, it worked fine. I had to get used to the settings for the different types of flooring in my house. It always left a burning plastic smell if I used it on my carpets, but I could never find a reason. I just figured the motor was overheating and would only use it in 10 minute increments. (Which is beyond inefficient. As a single mom, I don't have all day to wait for the vacuum to cool down). After a few uses, the stair attachment (a cheap plastic, horribly designed attachment at that) did not work despite my best attempts to fix it. Next, the brush on the crevice tool started falling off so it was useless. Finally, after vacuuming my bedroom one day, the vacuum began shaking violently when in use. After examining it, the brush roller was melted and not connecting to the vacuum properly. I guess that explains the burning smell. I can either replace the roller, or get a new vacuum. I am going to use the motor and parts to build the kids some gadgets, and I'm going to spend the extra few dollars for a Dyson.Sweet Jane
I pride myself on being a clean person and like to think I'm on top of things in my home but this vacuum should come with a warning, "Be Prepared to Be Grossed Out." I was not ready to witness what was living in my carpets!! After years of pushing around what I assumed was a good vacuum from a different brand I decided to upgrade and I regret not doing it sooner. I'll admit I wasn't too impressed when I unboxed this unit but once started I changed my mind. This vacuum is powerful and easy to handle. I read the weight prior to buying, but because of the unbalanced design it's very difficult lugging this upstairs. But if you're like me and can sacrifice convenience for an exceptionally powerful vacuum that does an amazing job of cleaning ALL the dirt and hair from your carpet as well as removes the pet hair from the furniture and such, then I highly recommend this vacuum. If I were to buy one again I wouldn't get the refund feature because of the issues it causes.

Things I don't like: Heavy- my arm often gets tired after 20 min of pushing it around. Suction hose- it is wound very tight so when I vacuum things like my stairs, it doesn't stretch much, ends up pulling vacuum along behind you Accessories – I have some accessories I like to use (horsehair brush) but had to buy an adapter. Adapter is a pain and doesn't stay on good. I use that brush a lot so it is very annoying Positives- Suction it is very strong and has different carpet levels. For my hardwoods it is ineffective on the carpet setting, must be on 1 of the bottom 3 Lots of tools, some are great some are dumb. I like the green pet one, it's good for couch. I've had this vacuum for about two months and I would never purchase again or suggest this product to a friend. I vacuum almost daily (farm family, 4 boys, two dogs and a messy barn yard) and I feel can give an honet review. To be fair, I do go through a lot of vacuums but this just don't measure up to previous brands and models I've had. I thought I would try it out because it comes highly recommended on the internet. When using the hand attachements, the unit constantly falls over when you try to pull it around. You can't reach up to the ceilings to get cobwebs without lifting the whole unit up in the air. The attachements never stay securly attached while vacuuming and always fall off the body of the vacuum. You can tell it's cheaply made. Flimsy and not sturdy at all. It's bulky and hard to get into tight spaces. I can not even fit it under my running boards in my kitchen or under my coffee table. Recently, the hose got clogged with pet hair/other debris, I took the whole thing apart and still could not reach the clog in the hose to get all the debris unclogged. Im shocked it got clogged within the first two months. The cord retraction rarely works. It never retracts the whole cord. I wouldn't waste my money on this product. I was disappointed because this vacuum comes with high praise, but for me personally, it just does not work well for my family and I can't recommend to others.

The vacuum itself, as a base vacuum works great. Trying to use it for more however, not so much. The brush roll doesn't turn off…ever. Not when the vacuum is upright, not when using attachments, and no off button. If I'm using attachments and pull the short hose too much, I can hear the roll just grinding on the carpet where it's sitting. Not good. Also if I pull too hard when using attachments and the vacuum tips with the brush roll coming at me, kind of scary. The swivel takes a little bit to get used to because it seems like the weight is uneven. When you twist it a little bit, it flops to one side, but maybe that's normal. I reached out to the customer service two weeks ago and have yet to hear anything. I'm not really happy about that, but I'm not holding my breath for a response. I decided not to return the vacuum because for the price, it works for what it's really is supposed to do…vacuum the carpet. I would definitely not recommend it if you use attachments often.

We have a German Shepard that sheds like mad all year long. One could build another dog out of all the fur he sheds! We purchased the Bissell Crosswave a few weeks ago and I am thoroughly impressed. Our area rugs have never been cleaner (they are dark blue so the fur REALLY shows!). And it's so easy and convenient to use. The canister is easy to remove and empty. The wand is easy to take off and use for those nooks and crannies with the slim tool (which has a handy brush that slides up for dusting). Setting the height level while vacuuming works like a dream. With our old vac you had to turn off the vac to adjust the height. It has amazing suction. The power cord is nice and long so you don't have to keep moving it to a different outlet to reach. It's the best vacuum I've ever used on bare floors as well. It doesn't shoot the debris around but actually picks it up! The inside of the canister has removable parts that can be rinsed off as well which is a nice feature as here in Arizona it's very dusty. If I could give more stars, I definitely would!Kaarin
I have a German Shepherd who is very floofy. I narrowed down my choices between the Bissell CleanView® Rewind Pet Vacuum Cleaner ad the Dyson Animal II. I have had 2 Dysons before. The feature that made me decide on the Bissell is that it has an adjustment dial for 5 different brush heights so whatever you are vacuuming can be done effortlessly with just the right amount of suction regardless of the surface – tile, this rug, p[lush carpet etc. I have tile, carpets and rugs. The other strong selling point was the included upholstery attachment, which works like a dream on dog hair. The only thing I feel that could be improved is the length of the electrical cord. I had no idea that my carpets, my floors, my home was THAT bad until I used this incredible cleaning machine! I knew my old vacuum (also a Bissel) was needing replaced, and the suction on it still worked well but it had some other issues so I decided to buy a new vacuum, Boy oh boy am I glad that I did! After vacuuming my no carpeted floors with this vacuum, they looked like I had just mopped them! It picks up pet hair like a pro! I love how the canister opens up at the bottom with just the push of a button, no mess, no fuss! And one of my other favorite features of this vacuum is the self wind up cord! There are three sections the dirt goes in and I have to clean all three out each week, not just the one section it's supposed to go into. The cat hair stays at the top, so I have to remove the middle section with the dirt then stick my hand up to take out the top cylinder and get it out to clean, dumping dust and other things all over the place in the process. makes a terrible noise the whole time. Other vacuums we have had we had to wash out the filters every few months – this one it's once a week. And that is all just for our home use, where we vacuum no more than twice a week and usually less than that!rf

Just bought myself an early Christmas present, the crosswave pro pet multi surface vac/mop. Really amazing how it cleans up, you see/feel/smell the difference instantly. I have health issues so sweeping/mopping is a challenge for me and i needed an easy option that worked. I have multiple cats and this is amazing with cat fur/dried up hairballs/cat litter etc, the fact that it separates all the icky stuff from the clean water makes the biggest difference…you will be in shock how much gets ckeaned up. Now this beautiful household tool needs care in between using it but i like the finished product so much i don't mind the clean up after and still easier then sweeping and mopping with way better results, plus i just put it up on my counter for easy access for the clean up. Tips: 1) don't use with a wet filter, always put a dry filter in. 2) get a baby tooth brush to get in small crevasse. 3) sweep out corners or hard to reach spots into where it can be vacuumed because this machine cant get to them. 4) i didn't get cordless because i don't want to deal with future batterie issues (not saying it happens but more likely then a cord) put top of cord on hook as you vacuum, easier to control cord dosen't get in your way. 5) clean spray holes if needed with paper clip. 6) make sure if you are dumping dirty water or cleaning off in the sink you have a drajn catcher because pet fur and gunk gets everywhere, you'll see as you are clean everything off and dumping water out, don'twant that going down your drain. 7) go slow when spraying the water, give wet vac mop a chance to do its thing. 8) make sure everything is dry b4 you put back together so no mold or smells start to happen. Like i mentioned, if you take care of this it will continue to take care of your floors and rugs. Ps: Not paid to write this, just a regular human. I paid for my crosswave and i really love it. No love is as great as the first, as they say. I bought this last year but after taking it to a friends house and power washing and vacuuming their entire 2 bedroom apartment for 5 hours straight for 2 days in a row, i think i mightve found the breaking point of this product… Haha, so after it wouldnt turn on, i returned it. I ended up going through 3 other new vacuums and returned them all, only to repurchase this as the 5th one. As i mentioned in the previous review for the Bissell Proheat Duo Pet vacuum, this one here was the absolute perfect size for a 5'3 girl living in a small apt. Its great in smler spaces and even if the suction is not as powerful as the Proheat Duo vacuum, this one does a good enough job for the size and its ease of use cant be beat. Cleaning it is suuuuuuper easy, refilling the water is super easy, and all i gotta do is just press a maximum of 2 buttons. (Meanwhile the pro heat duo has me feeling like an airplane technician, after having to take out a bunch components to clean it which was NOT easy and having so many buttons!!!) Im a bit OCD with vacuuming my carpet all the time (every day) and im always very pleased with the carpet cleaning after i wash it. Overall its been the best model i have found for a Wet/Dry vacuum so i highly recommend if its for a 1 bedroom apt. My only gripes are that this is not easy to push!!! Also wish it could suction better when going BACKWARDS because it only suctions good moving forward but not if i pass over it backwards and if the suction would be stronger too. I have had my Crosswave Pro Pet floor cleaner for three years this month. I don't use it everyday, but do use it regularly. I have two dogs that run in and out all day long. We live on a farm so you can guess what they get in to. Like a previous review stated, at first the machine worked great then not so much. I have to change the roller at least twice, or more sometimes, and wipe off the bottom of the machine periodically to keep dirty water from streaking the floor. After I am finished I can wipe the floor with a clean damp paper towel and the towel is very dirty. The cleaner leaves a dull residue on the wood floors. I always vacuum first before cleaning the floor to prevent the dog hair from clogging up the works and to remove as much loose dirt as possible before using the Crosswave. I also take the machine apart and thoroughly clean every part when I am done. I have purchased new rollers and filters through the years and only use the Bissill cleaners in the machine. Today when I started to use the machine it would not turn on. I tried the trouble shooting suggestions, but it didn't help. I checked for a service provider within 30 miles of my home and there isn't one. I am very disappointed in the life span of the machine and the quality of the job it does. I purchased the machine because of a back issue. I can not mop the traditional way without being bed ridden for days afterwards. The only reason I gave this machine a two is because it was easy on my back to use. If your back will stand it I recommend sticking with the good ole mop and bucket!

This vacuum is magical! I have a Husky mix and a Brittany. It’s shedding season right now, and my other vacuum was just making hair balls. I have a 2 bed 2 bath apartment. 1000 sq ft or so I believe. I had two canisters filled to the brim from just my living room, and 2 1/3 from the dogs room. And this was AFTER I used my other vacuum a couple hours before. The tool attachments work amazing as well! I also like that there is a suction meter on the vacuum. The only thing I’m not a huge fan of is how stiff the hose is. It doesn’t really extend much without pulling the vacuum over. Bonked myself in the head with the vacuum falling on me a few times from trying to clean the corners with the crevice tool.Sky
I actually really liked this vacuum the first time I used it. My husband and I have a GSD who sheds a lot and has longer hair. We previously used a Shark robot vacuum and a Dyson but were frustrated with constantly needing to empty and the hair getting trapped in the inlet. I purchased this in March 2022 and noticed that it didn't seem to be picking up any hair and found that the belt had broken (presumably) due to hair being trapped in the belt compartment. Not that I had extremely high hopes for this vacuum based on the price point, but I had at least figured that it would last more than 3 months. It would also have been helpful for Bissell to include extra belts in the box if this is a known issue. Would definitely not classify this as a "PET" vacuum which is all over the description and photos (including dogs). I guess it really is true – buy it nice or buy it twice.
I chose this vacuum based upon my previous experience with another Bissell product. A few years ago we sold our house and moved into a motor home to travel the country with our German Shepard ( German Shedder). I gave up my Oreck XL 21for the house and bought a Bissell cordless upright for the motor home. With the " Shedder" , one must vac. daily. The little Bissell never failed to impress me, every use produced another dog in the canister. Once we settled into a home , I still used the cordless to chase dog hair but was looking for a unit with greater hair capacity. That's why I chose a Bissell above any other brand. It fits my need perfectly. I still use the cordless in its detachable hand held feature as a " bug sucker" here in the Midwest as all the crawling critters seek a winter home. If you have a furry pet or two, look at the Bissell line first, you won't be disappointed.Randy

The CleanView Swivel Rewind Pet Vacuum could have been the perfect but for the multiple poor design features. First let me state I am a huge Bissel fan. I've own many brands including Dyson and Ortec. The problems with this vacuum is it is very unbalanced and tips over often because the hose and extension tools are far too short. The self rewind cord should have been placed in the back not the side because you'll find yourself often rolling over it with the vacuum, getting it tangled in the wheels, or tripping on it yourself. You have to always face this vacuum with the cord towards the area your working to avoid this. The tool placement compartments are very tight and without a handle on the end of the hose is a little tricky reconnecting it to the base. I read the weight prior to buying, but because of the unbalanced design it's very difficult lugging this upstairs. But if you're like me and can sacrifice convenience for an exceptionally powerful vacuum that does an amazing job of cleaning ALL the dirt and hair from your carpet as well as removes the pet hair from the furniture and such, then I highly recommend this vacuum. If I were to buy one again I wouldn't get the refund feature because of the issues it causes.
I got this vacuum off a recommendation and did research. I am disappointed. I have mostly hardwoods with 2-3 small rugs, 3 dogs. It is very strong and has good suction but is cumbersome to use. Things I don't like: Heavy- my arm often gets tired after 20 min of pushing it around. Suction hose- it is wound very tight so when I vacuum things like my stairs, it doesn't stretch much, ends up pulling vacuum along behind you Accessories – I have some accessories I like to use (horsehair brush) but had to buy an adapter. Adapter is a pain and doesn't stay on good. I use that brush a lot so it is very annoying Positives- Suction it is very strong and has different carpet levels. For my hardwoods it is ineffective on the carpet setting, must be on 1 of the bottom 3 Lots of tools, some are great some are dumb. I like the green pet one, it's good for couch. Accessories do not clip on the vacuum well Easy to empty and clean
I've had this vacuum for about two months and I would never purchase again or suggest this product to a friend. I vacuum almost daily (farm family, 4 boys, two dogs and a messy barn yard) and I feel can give an honet review. To be fair, I do go through a lot of vacuums but this just don't measure up to previous brands and models I've had. I thought I would try it out because it comes highly recommended on the internet. When using the hand attachements, the unit constantly falls over when you try to pull it around. You can't reach up to the ceilings to get cobwebs without lifting the whole unit up in the air. The attachements never stay securly attached while vacuuming and always fall off the body of the vacuum. You can tell it's cheaply made. Flimsy and not sturdy at all. It's bulky and hard to get into tight spaces. I can not even fit it under my running boards in my kitchen or under my coffee table. Recently, the hose got clogged with pet hair/other debris, I took the whole thing apart and still could not reach the clog in the hose to get all the debris unclogged. Im shocked it got clogged within the first two months. The cord retraction rarely works. It never retracts the whole cord. I wouldn't waste my money on this product. I was disappointed because this vacuum comes with high praise, but for me personally, it just does not work well for my family and I can't recommend to others.

I could not understand how this floor cleaner received such high reviews. Then I noticed that many, many of the five star reviews indicate the reviewer purchased the cleaner “as part of a promotion.“ This cleaner is terrible and is being returned immediately. On the hard floor function, it was dispensing freshly no solution onto the floor. On area rug mode, it dispensed more solution, but the cleaner basically moved the dirt around on the hardwood floor without picking it up. I need a very clean portion of the floor, it’s still left impressions from the brush. The floor was left hazy, and tacky to the touch. I have had similar floor cleaners which worked much much better. I was able to purchase this for $238 on sale. Now I know why it was on sale. It was a complete dud. It is frustrating that I had to assemble it, and now disassemble it and go back to the store with it. From now on, I will be really skeptical about products reviewed that were purchased as part of a promotion.VAshopper
Just bought myself an early Christmas present, the crosswave pro pet multi surface vac/mop. Really amazing how it cleans up, you see/feel/smell the difference instantly. I have health issues so sweeping/mopping is a challenge for me and i needed an easy option that worked. I have multiple cats and this is amazing with cat fur/dried up hairballs/cat litter etc, the fact that it separates all the icky stuff from the clean water makes the biggest difference…you will be in shock how much gets ckeaned up. Now this beautiful household tool needs care in between using it but i like the finished product so much i don't mind the clean up after and still easier then sweeping and mopping with way better results, plus i just put it up on my counter for easy access for the clean up. Tips: 1) don't use with a wet filter, always put a dry filter in. 2) get a baby tooth brush to get in small crevasse. 3) sweep out corners or hard to reach spots into where it can be vacuumed because this machine cant get to them. 4) i didn't get cordless because i don't want to deal with future batterie issues (not saying it happens but more likely then a cord) put top of cord on hook as you vacuum, easier to control cord dosen't get in your way. 5) clean spray holes if needed with paper clip. 6) make sure if you are dumping dirty water or cleaning off in the sink you have a drajn catcher because pet fur and gunk gets everywhere, you'll see as you are clean everything off and dumping water out, don'twant that going down your drain. 7) go slow when spraying the water, give wet vac mop a chance to do its thing. 8) make sure everything is dry b4 you put back together so no mold or smells start to happen. Like i mentioned, if you take care of this it will continue to take care of your floors and rugs. Ps: Not paid to write this, just a regular human. I paid for my crosswave and i really love it. I have had my Crosswave Pro Pet floor cleaner for three years this month. I don't use it everyday, but do use it regularly. I have two dogs that run in and out all day long. We live on a farm so you can guess what they get in to. Like a previous review stated, at first the machine worked great then not so much. I have to change the roller at least twice, or more sometimes, and wipe off the bottom of the machine periodically to keep dirty water from streaking the floor. After I am finished I can wipe the floor with a clean damp paper towel and the towel is very dirty. The cleaner leaves a dull residue on the wood floors. I always vacuum first before cleaning the floor to prevent the dog hair from clogging up the works and to remove as much loose dirt as possible before using the Crosswave. I also take the machine apart and thoroughly clean every part when I am done. I have purchased new rollers and filters through the years and only use the Bissill cleaners in the machine. Today when I started to use the machine it would not turn on. I tried the trouble shooting suggestions, but it didn't help. I checked for a service provider within 30 miles of my home and there isn't one. I am very disappointed in the life span of the machine and the quality of the job it does. I purchased the machine because of a back issue. I can not mop the traditional way without being bed ridden for days afterwards. The only reason I gave this machine a two is because it was easy on my back to use. If your back will stand it I recommend sticking with the good ole mop and bucket!

After more than a decade, my Powerforce 6579-3 finally fell apart enough to replace. I dreaded replacing it as I loved it. Maybe making it lighter with a longer cord could've made it better. Now I've got the Powerforce Helix. I'm glad I didn't throw away my old vacuum yet. I previously threw out a carpet cleaner and the replacement didn't come with the same accessories. The Helix was a bit the same way. The hose on the helix is lighter (good) and stiffer (bad) and doesn't extend as long as my previous one. Thankfully my old one fits so I'll use it. Also, the new extension and crevice tool are both shorter! The new one has an oval brush attachment. My old one had a triangular brush, to get into the corners and it could be rotated to use another triangular attachment for picking up stuff from flat surfaces. Because it could rotate, there were gaps in the pieces which lost suction, so that could've been improved. With pets, a crevise tool isn't as good as a brush tool for the corners. I'm glad all my old hose and attachments will still work. And, I found a way to fit all but the rotating brush attachment to the new unit. The new hose and attachment feel cheaper because less material was used. That makes them lighter and I'm sure they'll perform just as well. The old flexible hose could be a problem if something got stuck in the end as it would quickly contract to it's small size, pulling the unit, which could fall on you. Just vacuumed the house and it took a LOT less effort with the lighter weight. That push-button to empty the container at the bottom is brilliant! I would definitely recommend this vacuum. I also feel they made good design choices and removed previously good ones.Dan
Liked the price but isn’t a good vacuum so you get what you pay for. I’ve turned this into my “outdoor vacuum”, for my outdoor patio rug and bought a new one for my carpets. The main reason for not liking this is that it spits out debris and who wants that? It spits out debris worse when you use the attachments but does it when doing regular vacuuming as well. It also doesn’t have any sort of edge to edge cleaning to it and is actually quite bulky. New one purchased is much better it’s also by bissell and is more money but worth it. The bissell powerforce helix turbo rewind pet is the one. The only difference in the name is helix is included and somehow it’s so much better! It looks very similar but made better for sure and has the edge to edge technology I desire and it works fantastic! Unfortunately I had to purchase that 2nd vacuum because this one was just not good, however I’m fine with having an outdoor vacuum, now my outdoor rug stays cleaner and it’s ok for the debris for this reason only. The price was cheap so it wasn’t a total loss.Mary
1-1-2022: GOT THIS VACUUM NOVEMBER 2021 AND IN DECEMBER IT STARTED TO HAVE TROUBLES RUNNING OR WORKING SMOOTHLY. THE ROLLER WOULD FREEZE UP AND NOT WORK AT ALL. THE MOTOR GOT GOT VERY LOUD AND QUIT JANUARY 2022 WHEN AT THE SAME TIME THE BELT BROKE FOR NO REASON OTHER THAN THE UNIT FROZE UP AND WOULD NOT WORK PROPERLY ALTOGETHER AND ACTUALLY I HAVE NO IDEA WHY IT BROKE AND QUIT AS IT DID AND I AM NOW GOING TO TRY TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET IT FIXED. I also appreciate and am grateful that the assembly was so very easy and thank you Bissell for sending it mostly all assembled already and providing easy simple and understandable instructions if needed. I am also happy that it is smaller and lightweight and easy to operate. I struggle with pain (back, shoulders and arms) so with this vacuum being lightweight it is easier to move and use. I am in a small place with very little options for storage for a vacuum, and this vacuum fits so nicely in a small coat closet, making it easily and quickly accessible. In operating this vacuum… yes it really does “suck” and “sucks” very well! I have two dogs and therefore my carpet is often very full of dog hair it seems and this vacuum sucked that up along with so much dirt that I did not know was there in the carpet. It made my carpet look so much better after I was done. Emptying the larger collection container is pretty simple and easy as well as taking it all apart for cleaning (and there are easy instructions on the vacuum for taking apart and putting it back together which is very helpful). I feel that it has a great design for the brush roller that meets the carpet. The only thing at this point that bothers me is the electrical cord is shorter than I wish but if that was a big problem I could just get an additional extension cord and add to it and keep it there with the vacuum. The CrossWave X7 Cordless Pet Pro it is perfect for everyday messes and though ones too. Being a mom of 2 toddlers and dog mom of 2 dogs having a wet and dry vacuum takes a load of my shoulders saving me from the need of having too many gadgets for cleaning. Vacuum comes with a wet and dry function that helps through deep clean and also on the spot dirt. Bissel products has a differential in their vacuum by adding LED lights which is a big plus helping to find fur and other debris otherwise not visible without it. The CrossWave has 3 functions: Hardwood floor, Small rug area and Pet turbo clean. So it can be use anywhere in the house. I had the chance to use the 3 of them and could see the difference in cleaning, as well helping to save battery life. Now talking a bit more about the wet function, the ergonomic handle has a trigger that when pressed sprays water helping to clean even more of your house and can be used on all 3 modes mentioned before. The assembly was easy and although the first couple times I had look back at the manual, eventually I got the hand of it. The product isn't very light, but the wheels helps to maneuver with ease. Cleaning the parts was very surprising for me, as I confess I'm not the kind of person who does maintenance o in vacuum, because most of the times it is difficult to take apart, but not with the CrossWave, everything is so easy to clean and take apart that it became natural to do so after each cleaning. Another shout out is for the auto clean function which helps with better functionality eliminating any dirt that might be trapped in the tube. The box comes with two brushes and two cleaning solution, which is necessary for effective cleaning. Last but not least, different from other vacuum that the base charger needs to be mounted on the wall this one does not which simplifies my busy life. As a mom of three, and dog owner, I was absolutely ecstatic to learn I was selected to review the CrossWave X7 Cordless Pet Pro vacuum through the Stellar Review Testing Panel. Everyday messes are definitely a regular occurrence in our home, and I'm usually left with three options: Lug out the large vacuum, and haul it from room-to-room, changing outlets every few minutes; hunch over with my dust-buster for 20 minutes (which is not kind to my neck and back); or leave the mess until later. As a neat-freak, the latter of the options is never my favorite, and I'm generally left either killing 20-30 minutes when I could be doing something more productive on top of becoming frustrated and left with a stiff neck. So, needless to say, when the option for a cordless stick vacuum (dedicated towards pets and kids), I was like a kid at Christmas. I love this product! The three settings make it easy to switch between our hardwood floors, area rugs, and there's a turbo setting that is great at getting those stubborn areas that can really use some extra attention. The product is lightweight, holds a charge (I can vacuum our entire home easily on one charge), and I've found it's a great alternative to throwing my rugs in the washing machine. We have quite a few area rugs throughout our home (all washable due to kids / pets), which is great – but they are a hassle to wash / dry, lay down properly after-the-fact. With the wet / dry function on the CrossWave, I can literally run the vacuum over my area rugs for 1-2 minutes, and when done, they look like they've just been washed. Pet hair, cereal, everyday messes are easy to clean up, and the product is easy to charge / set-up and use. If I had to review any negatives, it would be two features. First, hard to reach places (under furniture, and particularly stairs), aren't the easiest to clean. Just to start off this is a fantastic product. We bought some appliances so we got $400 best buy gift cards and i had a $55 certificate from best buy(which the online guy that was supposed to help us never applied still a lottle mad about that and its expired now but whatever). Did some research it was between this and the Tineco floor one S5 but we ended going with this because we do have a few rooms with carpets. The pros: .It can clean our house (roughly 2,000 sq ft) on one charge. .That turbo mode is WOW!! .Easy to maintain and clean .Very lightweight .it makes cleaning so much faster The cons: .Maybe its the formula we are using but it is extremely soapy but started using less and it works much better. .it doesnt get the carpets the best( we know ots for area rugs) but on turbo mode it will do a room full of carpet just wont pick up too much of the water but man does it pock up some stuff! .the dirty tank gets full quick The 4 star is mainly for the price of it it is a lot of money for what you get, but honestly we have no Rugrets not even one letter! We are going to order the brush specifically made for carpets and try that out and see how that works and also some little tips. . Run the clean cycle after every use . After you are done cleaning and ran the cycle and cleaned your equipment take off the roller and put it in the holder to let it dry .once a week (i tried doing it every day but its too much) do a nice deep clean of your machine if you take care of it, it will take care of you.Ivan

This little wonder is basically a hand held vac with a handle. But don't let the small size fool you. Performs better than my canister vac. The kids and I love it. Super light weight. It has a decently long cord. I love how you can use the little gray piece AND the handle To reach up high in ceiling corners or fans. Its also super easy to empty. Worth the money for sure. This is obviously for light weight vacuuming nothing too crazy. But its got great suction!stince_2848

We have 3 dogs, including 2 huskies. Keeping up with dog hair on our different flooring surfaces and furniture was always a challenge. Our lightweight vacuum did a poor job of pulling up the hair from rugs, and our "commercial grade" upright could pull it up, but was too heavy to be practical, especially on stairs or take up to our second floor. Using tools to tackle furniture and other areas wasn't easy or efficient with either. This new Bissell not only is easy to use and lightweight, it surprised me with how much dust, hair, and other dirt it pulled up from a rug that had just been vacuumed with the lightweight vac a couple days prior. Performance-wise, it does as well as our commercial grade vacuum at a small fraction of the cost, and with a lot less hassle. Definitely can recommend it!
There is no way to get the thin layer of dust off hardwood floors with any of the larger tools that come with the vacuum. The pet hair tool and dust brush do get it but they are small, and the wand must be held at awkward angles to get that floor dust. Emptying the bin is no problem, nor is cleaning it or the filters, except that the bin fills quickly and should probably be cleaned more often than I changed the bag on my last bagged upright. This means the suction for larger objects and dust bunnies was high. I cleaned the filters well but noticed there was still dirt or dust way up in the fan-like filter that I couldn’t clean out without unscrewing the plastic housing, and that was just the 2nd time using the vacuum. The main head doesn’t fit under the bed and certainly not the couch, and the wand is too short to reach. Would be great if there was a way to attach the main large head or foot to the wand to get under the bed and furniture, but there isn’t. The movement of lifting the hand-held upper unit is awkward, as is de and re-attaching the wand. The swivel Adobe the is clumsy and difficult to maneuver. I could get used to the bagless feature as it is more economical, but using the machine made me realize a canister would be better for my needs.M. R.
Just purchased after reading software several reviews, have bought a lot of c***** vacuums in the past passed but also grown up with Kirby's filter queens and other various expensive vacuums including Dyson most recently. Believing that there is an affordable vacuum that does a great job out there, I read that this vacuum has good suction and has some nice features including pet tools and Hepa features, Which I liked as an allergy sufferer. I have not had the vacuum along but my 1st impressions which give it 4 stars included impressive impressive, very impressive pretty impressive suction, Enough toChange the direction and fibers on an older carpet that have become relatively stiff and other vacuums I eat my old one wouldn't even budge on moving. So on this front I would say good job Bissell. Other features I liked included the lights which were LED and lit up everything in front of the vacuum really well the ease of detachment of the Accessories and canister which was relatively easy to empty and reinsert. The vacuum well slightly heavy does maneuver and corner very well the design is dynas obviously modern and following Dyson standards on that front. I have no comment on reliability as the vacuum is new but it could become 5 stars or drop to 3 from where I stand currently and based on its reliability.. From my short time at the vacuum I vacuum I don't believe the critical reviews on this site are accurate at all.Vicrom3

Bought this off the Bissell site thinking it was the best canister and that the design would nail what customers who actually vacuum need. This machine came promptly and is light weight, but has a smaller head and bagless chamber than the one I was replacing. Assembly was easy, yet directions were scant. After using it twice I realized the main handle and tube does not stand by itself, so if you need to move something in the course of vacuuming and take your hand off the main handle, rod and tube all come crashing down to the floor or hit something on the way down. You cannot store this machine with the handle standing, but must use a shabby slot on the back. Also the handle itself does not have an on/off button. Rather the user must push a button on the main part of the machine and not let go of the handle, as it will fall and hit whatever is in its path. Also, I have found that it's pretty difficult to open the bottom of the dustless container. So far, I've have to almost pry it open. These features are essential for the user/customer, but ignored in the design of this vacuum-Why?Bob in NM
I do not usually post reviews, but I am so angry that I decided that I must. This vac was purchased new from Canadian Tire one year ago and Bissell no longer can supply the foam and felt filters for the tank lid as I have been told that this vac has been discontinued. I have a house with wall to wall carpeting. This vac must be completely taken apart each time it is used and thoroughly washed. When the filters that came with this vac are no longer able to be used I will have to buy a new vac and it will not be a Bissell for sure. I think that a company as large as Bissell should continue to carry replacement filters and parts for their products for many years in the future. Just because you discontinue a product does not mean stores are not still selling it. You cannot expect to keep customers if you do not support your products.Gail
I have a golden retriever and bought this to replace my broken Kenmore canister vacuum. On hardwood it works ok but the area rug and front and carpets it's not good. You cannot adjust the beater brush height and on anything but a low pile it's not very good. I leave it on full power but that makes little difference. Takes 3 times as long as my old vacuum as you have to go over the area 5 or more times to pick up the dog hair stuck in the carpet and rug. The only reason I'm even keeping it is because emptying the canister is better then the bags I used to have to throw out. I am happy with its use on the hardwood and tile but very disappointed with it on carpet. I'd expect more for the price.Retriever owner

At first, I thought I would return it because I have arthritis in my wrists. I wasn't used to swivel head that seemed harder to control. But when I looked online, it seems hard to find one without it. Turns out, once you adjust to it, it's really a GREAT feature, easy to use AND actually easier on my wrists! I've had this for 8 months now. I live in a Tri Level and my Hoover Wind Tunnel was very heavy to haul/drag up and down the stairs, especially since I needed Knee Replacement Surgery. I bought a Shark Lift Off & loved it, MUCH lighter & better suction than the Hoover. However, it died in just 18 months! This Bissell feels just a BIT heavier, but suction is just as good & Tools "On Board", so no carrying them separately floor to floor, as with the Shark. I also REALLY LOVE the Tangle Free Brush! I have 3 cats AND my own long hair. Removing tangled hair from Hoover was a nightmare! The "Pet TurboEraser Tool" really IS Turbo & Tangle Free as well! Love that Power doing my stairs! Also LOVE how EASILY you can CLEAN it, INSIDE of Lift Off canister AND main Filter! Had to keep buying Filters for the Shark and Bags for the Hoover. Only suggestion to improve this Vac: I too, ran over the cord (but nothing a little electrical tape didn't fix). Didn't see where cord holder is right away. Perhaps because location identifier is ONLY on upper handle's left side & I'm right-handed, so put it on both sides? Also, for ME, it would be GREAT if the cord were 5 feet longer. Have to unplug cord, move to different outlet for LAST 5 feet in Master & Guest Bedrooms, & when used on Hard Floor Mode for Kitchen. Maybe it's just the size of my house. Those factors would only have really taken a quarter star away at most. Watch video BEFORE you buy -just flip switch to use on hard floor! (AND on upper front side of handle, 2 Rug height settings not even mentioned!) THIS IS A GOOD ONE!!!!
I normally don't review products like this, but I HAD TO do this for my pet owner friends (and strangers). My husband actually chose this vacuum (I'm a sucker for the crosswave, personally), but this vacuum blew my mind! I have two large and hairy dogs (think Great Pyrenees) and one very hair bunny. Most vacuums don't do well with dog hair. Most vacuums cannot clean up hay from the bunny's room (she roams freely). But this vacuum is amazing!! With one vacuum of our area rug in the living room, I was amazed. We vacuum and use a rug doctor on the carpet regularly, but it was like a whole extra layer of dirt we didn't see before was lifted by this vacuum. A lot of indoor rabbit owners struggle with cleaning up hay and rabbit hair, especially during molting season. I use this vacuum every few days to clean up piles of hay and hair, and the vacuum DOES NOT get clogged! That's amazing! It does not suck up large (6inches+) strands of hay, but it gets everything else and leaves my bunny's room clean. I highly recommend this vacuum to anyone with a pup, a bun, or any animal! On top of all the cleaning abilities, it comes with the best attachments, has a light for guiding, is lightweight (I'm petite and I can lift it), and is surprisingly quiet!
