My cooktop is old and has been used well over many years, so I wasn't expecting a miracle here, but I was still underwhelmed. You can see in my before and after photos that it definitely helped clean the cooktop, but not to a fully clean feeling level. the only way to get the blade was to buy the kit and I've never used this brands type of cleaner before, it is horrible the smell is disgusting, the texture is very buttery feeling. the original non-heavy duty one was way better. I didn't realize that this was a different type of cleaner that they have, the moment I poured it on my stove I was hit with a horrible smell and then as I was cleaning it I just felt the greasiness (like getting better all over my fingers) all over, it also left a weird shine like it wasn't to shine it was more of a dullness and I cleaned it off like I normally would and it would sparkle so pretty. so if you see the original non-heavy duty one that smells like lemons or something citric get that one do not use the heavy duty. read the label carefully if its not on the shelf get the brand cerama bryte, the yellow lid.Justin

I recently tried the Affresh Cooktop Cleaning Kit, and overall I have to say that I am impressed. The cleaner solution has made my glasstop really shine. It looks almost NEW! The sponges in the cleaning kit work very well, and are very convenient for scrubbing my stove. The only bad thing about this kit is that the scraper is kindly cheap made. Our glasstop stove is "smoothtop" technically but it has an unusual texture that makes it tougher to clean. Pastes don't do a great job as they don't wipe away as well as they did on our previous cooktop. Weiman's Cooktop Cleaner is the best for us. After reading the entire manual for this new glass top electric oven I was really nervous. I was so glad that there was a very small sample of Cerama Bryte and the nylon scrubber included inside the oven. This cleaner is amazing. I clean the top of the stove every time I use the stove if there is anything on the top. It is easy to use … pour a little of the cleaner on top of the glass and using the nylon scrubber scrub the entire surface. Electric cooktops are very convenient nowadays. A drawback however is that sometimes food will spill onto the cooktop and burn onto the cooktop due to the high heat. Those stains are tough to get out. This cleaner did the trick for me. Added some to a microfiber cleaning cloth and was able to clean and buff out the caked on stains. There were no scratch marks left behind either. I would definitely recommend this product for cleaning your electric cooktops.antv

Directions To Use: remove any burnt-on food with a single-edged razor blade Cerama Bryte scraper. Shake well. Apply a quarter-sized amount directly cool cooktop. Rub with a dry paper towel or a Cerama Bryte Cleaning Pad. Buff surface with a soft cloth or paper towel. Close cap after use. Other Uses: Porcelain, cultured marble (bathrooms), glass shower doors, fiberglass bath units, pots and pans, and stainless steel sinks (do not use on stainless steel appliances).
Warnings Caution: Eye irritant. Read back label carefully. Contains citric acid. Do not get in eyes. First Aid: Rinse eyes with water for 15 minutes. If irritation persists, contact a physician. Do not mix with other household chemicals. Keep out of reach of children.

Searching around found this and am not going back to the product we’ve used for years. This cleaner works just as well and the quantity for the price seems like double. I’ve been using this product for many years to clean my glass stove top without issue. However, you need to use a slightly damp paper towel to spread it all over stove top before proceeding to use the proper scraper to remove baked on stains. Then finish drying and polishing it with dry paper towel.Oakplank

When my landlord replaced my old broken down electric stove I was excited about getting an oven that was accurate. After reading the entire manual for this new glass top electric oven I was really nervous. I was so glad that there was a very small sample of Cerama Bryte and the nylon scrubber included inside the oven. This cleaner is amazing. I clean the top of the stove every time I use the stove if there is anything on the top. It is easy to use … pour a little of the cleaner on top of the glass and using the nylon scrubber scrub the entire surface. When it's dry (almost immediately) take a soft paper towel and just rub off the residue from the cleaner and the top looks like the day it was delivered. I had trouble finding Cerama Bryte but Bed Bath and Beyond was able to order it for me and with my 20% off coupon it was so cheap and it was delivered quickly.Maggie47
