Horribly disappointing. Ink cartridges are very small, requiring constant/expensive replacements – ink supply will deplete rapidly after printing regular office documents (not the more ink intensive photos). Furthermore, the scanner feature will not work if ink is low – thus necessitating additional purchases before using an entirely unrelated feature. I am a big fan of Canon product. Their things work well with each other with no hassle and good reliability. This unit is just what I wanted to replace my 15 year old Canon printer. The Good: Set-up is basically straightforward and easy. Wireless Wi-Fi hook-up went smoothly. Print colors are fine for everyday use. The less good: Ink cartridges are located underneath the scanner, not easy to find; and you must be sure to load paper carefully to avoid a paper jam. I was replacing my LBP6230 Laser printer that I had used for over 10 years but the quality of the printing was inconsistent so I decided to replace it. I decided my printing needs had changed and went with the lower cost LBP6030 laser printer. The text and graphics looked as good as the LBP6230 when it was printing good. The on feature I miss is the ability to automatically print on both sides. But I knew that when I bought this printer. I only need two sided printing less than 2% of the time and I can still manually do it.John

After years of horrible experiences with inkjet printers from the same manufacturer, I have to say the ease and reliability of this little machine is a pleasure. I'm still on the starter toner after 2 months of use, and the fact that it prints immediately, quietly and without jams is a pure joy. I've seen laser prints with more satisfying heavy black on the page, but for the price this is a great little workhorse. Setup was easy as pie! Opened the package and set it up, took about 30 minutes +. Setting up on a Mac for wifi took some time, HP and Epson do it better (for this). The main purpose of purchasing this printer was for foiling. After doing some lengthly and spotty research, I ended on this. I waited until the price dropped around Black Friday and it shipped very quickly–evening arriving a day early! It sat around until I could muster the energy (holidays are draining) to pull it out and find a place to put it alongside my Epson inkjet. I did a test print and then used heat to transfer the foil, needless to say, it works. If you are like me and are still wondering about whether it works for foiling, look no further, this works, has wifi and is cheap (hopefully the cheapness won't lead to short-term uses. I'll start by saying that once its set up, this is a fabulous printer and excellent value for the money. It is a suitable replacement for my R1900 which gave up the ghost after 10 years. Setting it up was a challenge. Using the Epson installation wizard, the computer (current Windows 10) would recognize the printer and then stall and fail. This happened whether I set up using wireless or USB and after disabling firewalls and antivirus software. Finally I uninstalled everything and reinstalled. This time when it stalled I went to the Epson CD and searched the folders for an executable driver. The setup proceeded normally from there. Using wireless mode and the paper cartridge, the printer took about 8 minutes to print an 8×10 on ultra glossy paper. Unacceptable. I uninstalled the printer and software and reinstalled it the same way, this time with a USB connection. Using the rear loader and high speed (no apparent loss of quality), the time to print an 8×10 dropped to 2 minutes and about 45 seconds for a 4×6, both printing through Photoshop Elements. When I exited Elements, a popup opened from Epson asking if I wanted to download additional software. I chose the ones I'd find useful, and now the printer is fully set up and operating beautifully. I don't know why the software wouldn't load normally, and Epson wasn't helpful in this regard. But with a little knowledge of computer operations, I was able to get running properly. And the quality of the prints I'm getting from this printer make it worth the while.Ira

The price here was the lowest I found, so kudos to best buy. However, the printer itself is somewhat disappointing. I bought it specifically to print 11 x 17 documents in color. The color is meh and the standard quality is poor. It prints a "shadow" (kind of looks like a double strike on an old typewriter). The highest quality is a little better, but still just meh. It claims to print brilliant photos, but my mid-range laser printer (about the same price) is 10 times better. Every time I turn it on I have to wait for it to go through it's update search, and again after every update. A bit time consuming. I have it set to auto update, I guess it's definition of auto and mine are different. It also takes a long time to start printing after it has been idle for a while. Once it gets going the speed is acceptable. Won't win any races, but I'm not in one. It's not difficult to master, but not super easy, either. It comes with decent instructions, and the brother website is helpful so far.Maggie

I did a good amount of research before settling on this photo printer and with B&H Photo's easy on-line ordering I purchased one on a Monday and had it on my front porch Wednesday afternoon. Set up was relatively easy with no problems encountered. Operating it is also very easy with really no learning curve. The prints that this puts out are absolutely incredible. I am getting super sharp prints from my Nikon D750 camera images with true colors thanks to the six color ink cartridges. I saw some people discussing what they thought were somewhat slow printing times, but it's fast enough to suit me and faster than the HP printer it replaced. Ink usage so far seems quite reasonable for prints on 8 1/2 x 11 photo paper. I had a lot of HP glossy photo paper left over and it printed on that paper perfectly. The problem was not specifically the printer, it was with the advertised capability to be set up without the internet. It was to have a CDR to use for setup. I know that's old style but it what I needed for a system that does not use the internet (security purposes). It was also supposed to run on XP with SP-3. None of that was true. No CDR. Instructions inside the box said you had to use the internet. I contacted HP to see it they could supply the CDR as there must have been one in earlier editions. No CDR. Further, the HP rep said that particular unit would not work on XP with any upgrades. Not worth returning so it sits in a room waiting for somebody to need a printer that can connect to the internet. Found a Cannon printer that works just fine with XP and has an installation disc. Just as advertised.patroller

Once you get this printer set up it works well and produces good black and white and color print outs. The setup screen and all the extra steps HP requires from you is necessary and byzantine in the process. Ignore the 123.com setup message and just get on the same network as your printer and any modern laptop will load the necessary drivers automatically. It’s not 1990 anymore, and HP should realize that. Also – stop trying sell me on ink refills – it took a few minutes to find the right button sequence to finish the setup, so I didn’t have to go to a website to finish the setup … and thereby be sold on refill ink cartridges. The unit itself is a rather large body so I’m trying to figure out why all the bulk for something that just produces simple print outs. Long term performance will remain to be seen – but they should make the set up more seamless and less 50% setup and 50% marketing tool.CLIFF

Very unhappy with the product. There is no scan option on this model. Everything is done wireless which is fine if I wasn't redirected to set up accounts all over the place or to this site and the next to set up instant ink .I set up an hp account in which I was directed to do per the support page in order to copy or scan but how does that help with no scanner. I downloaded the mobile app however it would not allow me to login. I logged out and into my account using my pc just fine so no problem there and my printer was listed as available however I kept getting and error saying I needed to sign in to be able to use these features. Definitely an issue with the app. No way to contact anyone about this issue only a list of pre generated unrelated questions is the only option given. What I thought was a really good deal end up being an expensive bulky one function piece of equipment.TSS1

I'd give it a 4.5 if I could. It's better than just "Good" it's very good, but it's not perfect. Since I can't give it a 4.5 I rounded up. I’ve put this printer through several tests over the last several days and I think it’s a solid printer. I’ve spent more on ink-jet printers before and can’t say the more expensive ones were much better. As far as ink-jet printers go, I can only find one reason you might want to buy a different printer. That is that this printer does not have an automatic document feeder (ADF) for scanning. If you plan to scan many loose pages at once, many times, you might prefer something else. Set up was pretty quick and easy. Unpacking was pretty easy – there were just enough packing materials to keep it safe and everything in place, but it was still easy to get out of the box. This printer is nice and light so that just about anyone can unbox, set it up, and move it. It’s not hard to add the ink and doesn’t take very long, just be sure you have the nozzle fully inserted into the tank and give a couple squeezes to empty the bottle. Summary of some of my testing: Using the pre-built Magazine configuration to scan a full-page (8.5 x 11) recipe card produced a PDF of great quality – it looked as good as the original document; easily readable, colors looked true to the original image, the image of the finished meal looked delicious, even the small images of the ingredients were clear and easily identifiable. My company uses a blue-to-black logo with gold lettering and therefore uses blue and black (to match logo) on table headings, borders and some text in dark-blue, light-blue, and even uses some gold lettering in our documents. With good ink-jet paper, the colors in my work documents were very well represented in printouts. The text was easily readable and clear even when gold on white paper. Very close to laser-jet output. Copying a photo to photo paper is pretty good – being a copy it won't ever be as good as the original, but it was not bad. It was probably as good as you're going to get. The output picture was a little dark and had lower contrast, but I think adjusting the settings could improve it. If not, it might be better to scan the photo to your PC, tweak it in a photo editor, and then print for better quality. High-quality photos printed to glossy photo paper were very good too using default settings. Photos were a little darker than I'd like, but I think that could easily be adjusted too. Just make sure you’re using high-quality paper and use the highest quality setting. Print times are very good and very reasonable. The higher the quality and size of the print job the longer it takes. A small one-page text document will print very quickly, a couple seconds at most, in draft mode (as you would expect). 4×6 photos in HQ mode take a few minutes (around 5) to print. Of course, you can control who can print to your printer this way with Approved Senders List. * Scan to Cloud or email – you're not limited to scanning only to a PC. * Dual image output – with a single scan you can output two images with different settings, for example, a color and a black & white version, or if you’re going to use the image for a web page, output a thumbnail and full-size picture simultaneously. * Scan using 75 dpi to 2400 dpi * Tiff CCITT Group 4 & searchable PDF output supported as well as others Cons: * 1.44” display – this really should be bigger – even though it is very readable, many people will have an issue with how small it is. * Installation CD failed to run correctly on my Win 10 laptop * No double-sided print from phone option. Probably because the pages have to be manually flipped, but would still be nice to have as an option. * Using Windows built-in Add Printer functionality you can find the printer, but drivers won't automatically download. You must download and install drivers and software manually or use the CD if it will work for you. * When it comes to installing drivers & software on other PCs, there is not a Printer + scanner driver and utility package. You only have the option of downloading a package that contains everything including control software, or individual drivers & utilities. All said I think this is a very good printer. This is a review for the Epson Expression ET-2650 EcoTank All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. After I received the printer, I unboxed it and started to set up. I normally don't like reading manuals so I can't really comment much about the quality of the documentation, but I can tell you that it was straightforward to install the cartridges, even though I've never seen a printer with similar cartridges. Traditional cartridges only require the user to snap the new one in after pulling out the old cartridge, but that's not the case with this printer. You have 4 little bottles of ink, that you need to open it up and fill into the printer. I really like that the printer has a wifi feature and as long as you're connected to the same network, you can print it remotely. I have to mention this again, that I work in technology field and pretty used to decipher all kinds of menu's, but I think the little screen to setup your wifi and other settings could be replaced by a small touch screen with more user friendly interface. The current screen and buttons are not so easy to type for example your wifi password, especially if your password is not password:) As far as the performance, I've tried printing B&W documents and it's pretty fast and great quality, but then I tried to print a photo on a Office Depot premium photo paper ( 9 MIL | 63LB ) and I was not thrilled with the quality. CoI have been using this Epson Expression ET-2650 EcoTank All-In-One printer for about a week now and I am very impressed with all aspects of this model. The box includes the printer, a power cord, four ink bottles, a disk, detailed information, instructions and a quick start guide. The setup was very easy and fast after reading through the guide. This was my first time seeing a printer with ink tanks like the ones on this machine but if you're careful it is pretty easy. After removing all of the protective covering and filling the ink tanks you do have to charge these ink tanks and that took around 15 min or so. Setting the language and wireless connection was also very easy. They provide step by step instructions on all of this and installing the software from the disc provided but all together the setup took me no time or trouble. Part of the high rating I gave this printer is because there are so many amazing features on this device. This is the first printer I have seen that comes with enough ink to print up to 4,000 pages or is equal to 2 years of ink. The size of this printer is still small enough for your desktop and with the built in wireless there are not a bunch of cords to hide and it doesn’t look bad. It is so easy and convenient to print directly from my iPhone or iPad from any room in the house and it's been great for my kids homework and school assignments also. The print quality is perfect and has all of the options to clean, align, and even create. There are also apps in the app store for creating collages, coloring pages, greeting cards and more right from your phone. This printer is amazing and makes sense. With ink today costing more than the actual printer itself, I am glad to have this one. The first great thing to mention about this printer is the wireless technology. I'm so used to balancing my printer on the edge of my desk and being tangled by cables, so it was such a lovely moment to just press print on my laptop at my desk and see the printer work it’s magic just over the other side of the room. Other cool things about the Expression Photo XP-960 include the flip out touch screen and the ink cartridges system being CMYK based. This might go right over the top of some people’s heads, but as a Graphic Designer this is very ideal as it’s a lot closer to the usual printing process. I’m used to having just 2 ink cartridges; colour and black, but I’m hoping that this 6 cartridge system should be a lot more economical and better for colour matching print-wise. My favourite thing about the XP-960 is the borderless printing. Being able to print full bleed images onto paper is a real treat, and especially with the A3 size option it's perfect for printing posters, booklets and large scale photos. Because you’re able to print A3, this printer is a bit of a beast in size – it’s probably not going to just sit on the corner of most people’s desks. But if you’re a small creative business owner with an office space, then I think it’s a worthwhile investment! I've still got a lot more to test with this printer, but so far it gets a thumbs up from me.Natasha

I bought this direct from Epson and thought it would be a refurbished unit. I was pleasantly surprised the unit was new and in original unopened packaging. It was a saving of approximately 100. I had it set up and on my network within 10 minutes. Print speed is acceptable and great quality even on standard settings. If you plan to scan or photocopy multiple pages regularly go for a printer with a document feeder instead. Similarly if you plan to print everyday then go for a model that has an ecotank as that will save you a small fortune over the life of the printer. This is the perfect printer for occasional use. To scan multiple pages to a single PDF file you have to do it from the Epson scan software on professional setting on PC as it can't be done from the printer controls. If all my family start printing photos I may look to refill my own cartridges! One cool feature I also tested was to connect the printer to 2 of my cloud accounts and also send an attachment by emailing it to the printer. The printer was clever enough to select the photo paper for the attached photo and A4 for the email.andyaa18

I was impressed with the look of the machine, although not compact it was only slightly bigger than our original printer, and far more sleeker too. Unpacking was easy and the set up process was very simple. I used the Epson online setup guide and downloaded the Epson iPrint app and the LED touch screen display did the rest. You’re given step-by-step instructions all the way and I found no issues during the set up process. My favourite feature is the Epson app which lets you access photos and documents from your phone to print direct. Mobile printing options are beginning to become standard in printers but I was really impressed with the speed and quality of this feature. Being able to print a photo (documents too) taken that same day in a matter of minutes from my phone is pretty cool. Once again, the app was really user-friendly. It connects to Google Drive, iCloud and DropBox too. All in all the WiFi printer is a really impressive home office printer (scans, copies and prints) with the added benefit of printing high resolution and exceptional photos. I'm an artist/illustrator and photographer and I wanted to bring printing in-house rather than farming out to a vendor. I wanted a printer that had high-capacity ink tanks and could make high-quality prints on heavyweight papers (250-300gsm). The Epson Et-85xx printers tick both boxes! I purchased the ET-8500 model as I have no need for printing larger than 8.5×11 or A4 borderless. Set up on MacOS 11 was fast and easy. My first test print on XPress-It blending card (uncoated 250gsm art paper) stunned me: a quick print on the plain paper setting yield a vibrant print that was much closer to my original alcohol ink rendering than what I had been receiving from a vendor! I've tested on a variety of coated papers ranging in weight from 140 to 250 gsm and even printed on watercolor paper with amazing results. I have not yet printed photographs but I am confident that the quality will be fantastic.Brian

Let's get the first things out of the way, it's cheap to run and it does a pretty darn good job of printing photographs! Now the rest…… It made of flimsy plastic, I suspect the manual sheet food at the back and the whole front paper-tray / loading mechanism are made from brittleanium and will be lucky to last six months let alone two years. I couldn't find out how many sheets of paper it's supposed to hold but the answer is 'not many', don't keep your paper supply too far away or you're going to get fit getting more paper every ten minutes. Remember how I said it prints great photos…Pity about the software that comes with it though. I like to bulk buy my photographic paper in A4 size (hey, if you've bought a photo printer you're probably going to print quite a few) and print the photos in the middle of the sheet of paper. This allows me to print 4*6 or 5*7 or 8*10 photos on the same size paper and trim as required. There doesn't appear to be any option to select "Print my photo in the middle of the paper", all photos seem to print right at the edge, and to add insult to injury, the software doesn't seem to give you an option as to what size you'd like the photo printed at. I should be able to grab any file from my computer and ask the software to print it in my desired physical size (and crop as necessary) anywhere on the paper, aligned top, bottom, middle, wherever I want. In short, great print quality but let down by build quality and poor software.Disappointed42

I own the ET-8500 and the XP-970. Both do an exceptional job printing lab-grade photographs. However, the ink consumption/cost involved with getting the job done lie at opposite ends of the spectrum… ET-8500 budget friendly — XP-970 VERY expensive. The ET-8500 uses 5 color of bottled ink. The XP-970 uses 6 colors of cartridges. With that said, I use the ET-8500 for all my creative needs- from printing ultra-premium glossy photos to plain paper print documents. I enjoy the ease in switching between paper types, sizes, and print quality. For the holidays, I made over 75 calendar/planners as gifts. Each consisted of 14 glossy photos and 18 cardstock pages. The ink-levels remained well above 3/4's full and are still going strong after printing a dozen photo story booklets for my granddaughter, and dozens of 4×6 photos for card-making. It is quite astonishing. I recommend this printer, without hesitation, to anyone who enjoys sharing creative color publications without going broke. PS- I use the XP-970 for photos I wish to frame. The quality of photos printed on this printer is very impressive.Jane

Purchased a week ago. Smooth, easy wireless set up. Quick B & W printing. Prints card stock, photo paper, both glossy & matte very well. Rear feed great for cards & photos. Scanning is easy with numerous functions. Would give 5 stars if it had an ink system that was more economical. So far, I think this is an excellent printer and a good value. I had purchased a Brother printer in the store that was $100 more because it was in stock, and the Canon was not, but it would not print cards without jamming, so I returned it. Staples credited my visa without any questions or hassle. Had to order the Canon online, but it came overnight, and it is a much better printer, for a lot less money. Will continue to purchase from Staples due to this excellent customer service experience.SUSAN

So far, so good! I have terrible luck with printers and they just don't seem to last. This one replaced another Canon PIXMA that I was never able to get connected wirelessly and would constantly give me errors that it wasn't connected or offline. So, understandably I was a little hesitant to get another Canon. This one had decent reviews which were on par with or better than the others I was looking at, and since it was on sale for a fantastic price, I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm so glad I did! Setup was a breeze, and this is the first printer that I've had that not only easily connected wirelessly, but has stayed connected. Even adding my smartphone to wirelessly print was a piece of cake. The Brother – MFC-J1170DW Wireless Color All-in-One inkjet printer in black is a nice, compact printer that is mostly easy to install. Since I am a CPA in public practice, I use all kinds of printers for all sorts of applications-mostly laserjet for fast numerous printing of lengthy tax returns, but all in one inkjets for billing and other miscellaneous printing jobs. The only hiccup that I had was after I had officially set up the printer. So, on its LCD screen there was a message that a firmware update was available. I hit the arrow that takes you through a series of prompts to eventually have to enter a password. Well, silly me, I thought the password was the same one as my online Brother account and even changed that thinking I had it wrong when the message on the machine's screen kept telling me that I had the incorrect password. Little did I realize that on the back of the machine there is a little stamped area that not only has the machine's serial number, but also has a PWD and I believe 7 combo of letters, caps and lower case, numbers, and special characters. The easiest way for me to enter and read was to use my phone's camera to take a picture and read and enter it into the machine. I did wind up calling Brother's toll free number, speak with someone off shore, I believe from their accent, which I do not like. However, after almost pulling my hair out over this password thing, all was done. I already had the Brother set-up program and its utility type programs so downloading the necessary software to my older desktop was easy. I have a newer Dell 2 in 1 on a different floor and that connected to this new Brother machine quite easily, too. Pros-small enough to set on an ottoman, see attached picture, or on any desk surface area. Quick 1st paper out, quality of print, and speed. This is good for smaller office type jobs or smaller home type jobs. I also had the Brother Mobile Connect app already downloaded to my smartphone and I love using that to print necessary items right from my phone. The literature states that ISO print speeds are up to 17ppm for black print and up to 16.5 ppm for color print. I used wireless connectivity, but there is ethernet available, automatic duplex (2 sided) printing, and many things , like the Cloud, Dropbox, etc., can be reached directly from the machine itself, and a 20 page auto doc feeder. Con-Does not state on the box that it is compatible with the recently release Windows 11, so I would call the toll free Brother number and get an opinion on that if you have that operating system. I have not priced replacement Brother brand ink for this machine-there is a "Refresh" Brother program found at www.RefreshmentEZPrint.com that is similar to that of HP's instant ink program where the machine communicates with them seamlessly and for a monthly fee, based on projected number of pages to be printed on a monthly basis, you will receive ink without even having to request it by mail or some other delivery service of their choosing. This machine comes with only starter cartridges for Bk/C/M/Y. The standard ones per Brother will print around 200 pages where the high yield print up to 500 ;ages. I will be looking into the best ink pricing to see what is the most economical way to buy ink because unfortunately, that can be more in the long run than the machine itself.KansasMeddlingMom

So, this little printer is a highly impressive specimen. Not only was it incredibly easy to set up and get going with the easy-to-follow instructions, but it prints like a bat flying out of hell! I actually swore with surprise the first time I printed off a text page and it just shot out of there like a high velocity rifle round–printed with perfect accuracy. This is a compact, user-friendly printer—highly economical this inflationary day of age, with ink that according to my research is actually rather economical to replace too! That is a huge win for me all around. The size means that this printer is friendly on most workspaces and is honestly perfect for the occasional printer like me who wasn’t looking for something crazy fancy or high-volume. What I really wanted that this printer has, is the ability to scan documents easily to my Onedrive account. I upload manual timecards to my company via scans, and my old printer lost its ability as it is so old to connect to my Onedrive account to upload scans directly to the Onedrive folder I had selected. Getting this Brother printer set up to do it was easy and now I have that ability back again! I am very pleased with this. Altogether, I can’t think of a better entry-level printer at this time. I do miss when entry-level, beginner printers were cheaper, but this printer seems to have the ability to do it all while being user friendly and compact, and I don’t know if I can give it a better recommendation than that! Also, I'm running Windows 11, as an FYI. Personally, I prefer the tank printers over the cartridges. I don't print that often, so the ink frequently just sits there, and after using for the first time after a couple of weeks of rest, I tend to get better performance with the tank printers than I do with cartridge printers. Plus, there's the environmentally friendly part of using the tanks, as well. The touch screen is difficult to use – the buttons are entirely too small, and even with my smallest fingertip my touches weren't getting registered correctly (i.e., I pressed 8 and it registered a 5, and this happened multiple times). Red flag and star loss for me: I can't seem to get any PDFs or pictures (JPGs and PNGs) to print unless I use their proprietary program to open and then print the file, which is a pain! I've never run into this issue with any other printer (wired or wireless), so I'm not sure if it is a Brother thing or something else. I was able to print a Word doc from Word without a problem, however! That all being said…it was easy enough to set up and get connected wirelessly to my computer and network, but with the requirement of going through their proprietary app to print anything, I personally would pass on this printer. It is getting extremely hard to find small footprint printers are not just wireless. My experience has shown zero benefit and a lot of headaches going wireless. Give me a hard wire connection every time. This model does not have FAX capability which is also useless to me, so no need to pay for that. It was extremely easy to set up, but it takes a long time to wake up after you turn it on. Once going it is extremely fast and prints beautifully. Cons: It has an annoying front door that pops open when printing. The purpose of this door is a mystery to me. They could (and should) have designed this with just an open slot to eject paper. Since this is located under my desk it hits my leg half the time. If there is a way to remove the door and still get this work I might try to do that. Every time you open the paper tray it requires you to re – register the paper size and type. Again too much technology for a simple act a human is capable of handling. All in all it does the job. I had a Canon Pixma MG6220 that I wore out, basically. I loved it and decided I would buy another Pixma MG series. My dad has a 3200 series of the same model. He likes his. They had what I wanted and the price was right. While I was disappointed this 6821 didn't take the same ink cartridges as the 6200 series, I was able to make an arrangement with my ink supplier for cartridges. I prefer this printer because it uses the separate ink cartridges and not the tricolor ones. Separate ink cartridges are more economical for me. I still have to learn the scanning part a bit better because it is a bit different from the 6200 I had. I haven't tried printing pictures with it yet. The copier part works great. It does Not come with many written instructions, so some people my have a problem with it. It does come with a CD disk for installation which has the full manual on it, so you have it at your fingertips. Very pleased with my purchase. I reserved a star because I haven't used all of the functions on this printer. This one was purchased in addition to my PIXMA PRO-1 that I like very much but hate to use for simple print jobs. That being said, it works great printing from my computer, iPad and phone with an easy app download (all devices are iOS). Double-sided printing is a nice feature and one that my (very) old all-in-one did not have. I have not used the scanner or color/photo print functions so I can not comment on those features. The printer does move and shake a lot during printing so you will want to make sure you have it on a sturdy surface. I initially placed it on the narrow table where the old one sat and quickly learned it would need a different spot. It is compact and I like that the paper tray can fold in versus others that I compared which were stationary and always extended past the machine. It can be a little slow if it has been in "sleep" mode for an extended period of time but pushing the power button when it has makes it respond quickly. You'll have to pull the paper tray down anyway so both can be done at the same time. It does not hold a lot of paper so I would not recommend if you do a lot of printing at one time – unless you don't mind refilling often. Am I ever glad I looked at Office Depot before I purchased a printer at another store. This one happened to be on sale for the exact same price as another brand I was considering but even if it hadn't, I think it is well worth the full cost. This printer is exactly what I wanted! It is small, compact, not heavy or hard to move around and most importantly, just works. I set the printer up in about 5 minutes and setting it up was so easy. No downloading apps, no having to use your phone, just plug it in set up on the machine go to the computer and add it. This machine is so fast too! Press print and it starts up right away and its hardly a second and the page is out. I printed out 15 pages and it was no time at all, and I had them all. I love that Canon has simple all in one toner cartridges that are easy to replace and make maintenance super easy on their laser printers. This laser color printer is one of the most affordable printers you can find for under $200. Granted, it doesn't have all of the features found in much more expensive AIO printers such as duplex printing and document feeder, but I find it sufficient as home office printer. Since I previously owned Canon printers, setting up and operating this thing is very easy and intuitive. The touchscreen panel is nice, but it's not exactly the best. I like the fact that I can send print job wirelessly, a must-have feature in any printer I've owned. And so far, it's been very reliable. One thing I would advise to do right after setting up the printer is to adjust the resolution for copying and scanning to max as the default is set to only 300dpi. This makes a whole world of difference for your printouts. Moreover, if you print photos a lot, laser printer is not meant for that purpose. I'd recommend get inkjet printer instead. Just keep that in mind. Lastly, the only thing I find mildly annoyed is the fact that this printer is quite loud at start-up, but starting up is significantly faster compared to inkjet printer. Overall, this printer is exactly what I expected, but long-term durability remains to be seen.Alan

We bought two of these Epson 2803 printers. We've had several problems, chronically. 1. We cannot get each printer to reliably print from the proper computer, mine or my wife's. We've called Epson repeatedly without solution. 2. The color is bad, not good for photos. 3. Mid-print, the printer will stop and fail, especially on jobs over 20 pages. 4. The on-line fix tool is worthless, in fact each time the fix tool gets stuck in a useless loop. It is not an operator problem. 4. The Wifi connection will fail mid-print, even though the Wifi is not having a problem. The one upside of this printer is that the ink does last much longer, But the technology of the machine itself is in infant stages.EN

Struggled for years with cartridges that clogged or would cause printer to not work. Sure hope this ET 2803 continues to work as well as it is now. Only had it a few days but like it so far. Setting up was not too bad, but I did not do the wireless connection. I used a USB/printer cord. It was difficult to see the postage-stamp size LCD screen and following instructions was harder than it should have been as a result. Thus the 4 star rating. Plus, the top seems flimsy compared to my old printer. I used the CD to load the Epson drivers and utilities and that went well. It updated all the utilities and the software/firmware without a hitch. It prints well, and goes plenty fast. It runs fairly quiet, even in the regular (not quiet) mode. I would not call the colors vibrant, but they certainly are acceptable. Filling the tanks was easy, they are idiot-proof since each color bottle fits only that tank. No mess-no fuss. The 65ML bottles fill the ink tanks just about to the top. I should get a year or more out of the black and maybe longer out of the colors. When I received the Epson Ecotank ET-2803 wireless all-in-one cartridge free super tank printer with scan and copy, I thought it was going to be one of those printers with a hard to follow setup and use but I have to say once I got started I was shocked at just how easy it was. The setup gives you clear written step by step instructions that include pictures and detail diagrams. The entire setup process took me approximately 10 minutes including filling the ink compartment. The ink was my main concern as never had a printer this type. It actually was super simple to fill. The bottles fit perfectly into each of their tanks so there's absolutely no mess. It also stops as soon as the tanks reach their full capacity. So no worries about the ink overflowing. The print quality is amazing and the colors are come out vibrant and beautiful. It was a little confusing at first trying to figure out the settings to print but once I did I was able to print several pages very quickly without any issues The printer itself is very lightweight and compact which makes it easy to put it just about anywhere. So far everything has exceeded my expectations and I would definitely recommend this to anyone. the employees at brother are great. the product however needs some correcting. there is no rear document feed which means that i have to one by one print lazer checks or rearrange the sequence and put them in the tray. both methods make the checks crooked. i have owned about 4 different printers in my 35 year business and i have never had to do this. additionally when the printer is idle it takes about 10 seconds to turn on. you guessed it. if it takes me more than 60 seconds to hand feed each check before it shuts off and i have to wait for it to turn back on and i have if i turn the sleep mode on longer then i get the priviledge of listening to a veruy loud fan constantly blow. NO.. the fan has plenty of ventilation, no i am not printing 100 copies and it needs to cool down. i have printed 10 to 15 sheets on all my old printer type models i won't mention here and never had a cool down problem . i have a new computer, a new ethernet cable ( which you do need to routiney repolace by the way, i learned that the hard way) new hardware, new software, new firmware. why did i buy the brother? because the other companies were temporarily out of stock. seriously though even there higher end models will still have the same features because not one person has been able to tell me this is just a lower end model issue. look for ppm and first page out when idle and cpu. i hope brother can fix these issue.jann

Pros: Auto switch on /off is great facility, printer can be left off until printing a document where it auto starts and can be set to switch off again after a certain time. Good quality prints and came with a proper set of inks, not the cheapskate set of 'starter inks'. Cons: Dual side printing is very slow. The first side is ok but then it sits for several seconds before starting the cycle to reverse the paper and print side two.Ian

Printer won't connect to wifi, even when situated right next to the router. So yesterday we bought a USB cable to connect manually to our desk top p.c.. Got home, printed a previously scanned, saved document. Printed 3 pages VERY slowly. We then tried to print an email attachment received earlier. After dealing with inkjet cartridges for years, I thought that I would finally upgrade to a tank-type printer when my old printer finally gave up. Quite honestly, this is the worst printer I have ever purchased in my life. Despite running the "clean print head" function multiple times a week(!), the print is still spotty, streaked and just plain off. The printer is being used pretty regularly, too, so it's not like it's sitting around and not run. I would have returned it had I not missed the return window. Absolutely would not recommend. Going back to the other big brand, and the inkjet cartridges, as this printer is just not worth the hassle and frustration. Oh – and additionally, it's not shown in the photos, but the paper feeds from the back of the printer, not from a drawer underneath. I've had many printers before and I've been very enlightened by the result and excellent quality that this printer has provided me on a daily basis. I work with plenty of photos and documents which I need to print daily. The ink dries quickly and doesn't smear once it's finished and how quickly each page comes through the printer is quite remarkable! I've had many do the job that this could, but I do notice so much improvement and upgrade when it comes to the speed, the ease of use, and the quality of the photos that print. The ink levels being easy to read and able to fill by a bottle is so much nicer than cartridges. I don't feel I use as much as I would with my older printers. For the many things that this printer can do for me, well it's awesome! I'm especially enjoying the ability to print from my phone, as I'd always prefer when I can't be near my printer or print from my computer. It makes things easier to have the two connected, computer and mobile phone to the printer. Either device has it coming out exactly as seen in the preview before printing, which means fewer reprints I have to make and more done correctly on the first try. Finally, I like to mention that this printer is very nicely designed, and has only helped me do more easily and fewer mistakes. The quality is excellent, not only in the results but the device itself is well made. There are two main complaints when it comes to home printers, and this is the first time I've seen a printer address both. First, there is usually a high bar of computer experience needed to connect a computer to a printer, either via cable or via wifi, and this was (by far) the best experience I've had. There is a manual that comes with the printer, and an app you can download to walk you through it, both for iOS and Android, and easily downloaded via QR code on the box. Both methods work well, but they do differ a little bit in the order of the steps, so pick one and follow it alone. Second: after the initial setup, and a period of non-use, a home printer will typically have ink gummed up in the print head from drying out. Because this printer has a screen and you can easily navigate to cleaning modes here, it is MUCH easier to get the printer cleaned up and running than it used to be. Without the onboard navigation and settings, you used to have to go find printer settings in windows, dig through the screens, and find "clean print heads" in the maintenance menu. Those days are long gone, and you can get to the settings you need in just a few seconds. This alone is worth the price of admission for me. The printer itself is lightweight, and has easy accessible doors for retrieving papers that will inevitably get stuck. There is a power save mode. The only error I've had so far was when I tried to print a PDF, I would get "paper size loaded does not match file", and it would ask me if this was ok before printing. I dont quite understand why I got this since the PDF and paper loaded were set to the same settings, but its not really an issue since all have you have to do is hit OK. I was just stymied for a second on why it wasnt printing. HP – Deskjet 4133e Wireless All-In-One Inkjet Summary: A great budget friendly all-in-one printer. Pros: * Form factor. This unit maintains a clean form factor and won't take up too much deskspace. * Easy setup. The setup of this printer is more or less streamlined and issue free. I don't know that having to use your phone is necessary, but the process worked the first time. * Scanning, copying, and printing speeds are in line with similar all-in-one units of its class. Cons: * I think the phone setup might annoy some people. * HP InstantInk subscription service is a clever idea, but I'd rather have on-demand ordering capabilities. I don't print a lot, and I imagine neither do most folk – why try so hard to coax people to using a subscription. * No cloud save support. I am accustomed to my printers being able to scan documents directly into a cloud destination such as OneDrive. I haven't identified that capability for this printer, yet, Use: This unit replaced an older DeskJet (non-AIO). This unit provides expanded capabilities that are nice to have. Setup was not an issue, fax works via a mobile app no landline connection, copy works, scan works and rock solid wifi connection. The 4133e is a basic all-in-one, with the ability to print, copy, and scan. This unit is not intended to replace your office printer or the more expensive all-in-ones that are on the market. It is what I call a barebones printer but it is also priced accordingly. There are occasional deep discounts offered by HP for this unit, and it can often be picked up for well under a hundred dollars. I purchased the 4133e for the den, something my kids and wife can use for printing out homework or school assignments. It isn't the fastest printer around, with 8.5 pages per minute in black and white and 5.5 pages per minute in color, but again, we're not taking about an expensive all-in-one here. What we are talking about is a nice, simple printer with the ability to make copies and print documents. Black and white documents were sharp and easy to read. As long as you aren't printing photos or high-contrast color documents, you'll be plenty satisfied with the print quality in color. Replacement cartridges aren't too expensive, but as usual a set of black and color cartridges in the XL size will cost you 70% of a new printer on sale. HP does give you the option to sign up for HP+ where you pay a monthly fee and get to print so many pages a month. They'll send you ink cartridges when you do this. Now, here's my biggest beef with the 4133e: An XL black cartridge for the 4133e runs 26 dollars and according to HP will print around 240 pages. That is 11 cents per page, which is a little above average. We'd usually like to see per page costs of 5-10 cents per page. An XL color cartridge for the 4133e will run you 27 dollars with an estimated yield of 200 pages. If we don't count the black ink that would be used in a color print, that ends up costing 13.5 cents a page. That number is pretty dang good, considering that home printers can average 15-25 cents per page. So a little trade off there. At it's regular price, I'm not sure I would buy the 4133e again. There are some printers in that price range that have a cheaper per page cost and I would most likely purchase those instead. But at its regular discounted price, the 4133e is a decent deal and will be a great basic printer.Derek

Bought this printer to replace my Canon MX922 which was the best printer ever made by Canon, a pure work horse. But it had come to an end so I search and found the MB2720 which had all rave reviews so I took the plunge and bought it along with extra cartridges. Set up was rather slow and had a problem connecting with my internet. After getting though that in the first week I had to replace the cartridge's that it came with after about 100 page through. You could hardly see the black on the pages and the color was not that great so I was able to replace them all after going to the internet as the manual does not tell you how to remove the ones before the printer tells you they need replacing. They lasted about 500 pages then it all started again. The printer had been so slow communicating with the computer I decided to return the printer and get a new one as I had the extended plan, highly recommend getting it. Returned the printer no problem, took it home, this time had no issues with connections and setup. Now after 5 months and 4500 copies(which half I had to throw away in the garbage) and frustration with this printer I am going to return it and get something else. The performance is just not there, I can't see a business using this unit let alone for the home use. Its slow, poor ink(I use factory) poor printer.Mounted77

The CANON MAXIFY all in one inkjet printer #MB2720 does it all! It will print, copy, scan and fax on a WIFI or a LAN connection. This printer has a large footprint 15”W X 18”LG X 12.5”H. The paper feed trays extend out another 3” from the width of 15”. It has 2 feed trays that will hold 250 standard weight sheets of paper each. Each feed tray is adjustable to fit a paper size from 3.5”x5” to 8.5”x14” and will also adjust to hold different size envelopes. There is a flat panel scanner plus a multi-feed tray on the top of the printer for copying and scanning documents. The front of the printer has a USB port for making copies from a flash drive. The operation panel is a multi-function touch screen. Because this is an all in one printer there are numerous settings that must be addressed to operate each function and set up the printer to your personal preference. When I was doing my initial set-up I thought it was a pain and way too complicated. It took me 2 hours to print my first page! Now that I have learned how to navigate the manuals it gets easier every time I need to look something up. I installed this printer on a WIFI network and it has worked flawlessly from the server computer and any device connected to the WIFI network. The other devices connected include: desktop computers, laptop computers, tablets and smart phones. The printed copies are sharp and clear without any shadowing. When using CANON original inks that are produced for this printer they are smudge and streak proof even when using a wet marker to high light a word or sentence. For initial installation I suggest you use the on-line installation version software even though this printer comes with an installation disk. If you do use the installation disk you will still have to go on-line to update the printers operating program. In addition during install a basic operating manual is downloaded to your computer. It is very basic and I suggest you reference the on-line operating manual to learn how to set up this printer. In conclusion the only reason I gave the CANON MAXIFY MB2720 printer 4 stars instead of 5 stars is that there are several warnings about removing and reinstalling any of the ink cartridges. This printer has an ink cartridge memory and it will not allow an ink cartridge to be removed, cleaned, unclogged and reinstalled. If an ink cartridge is removed for any reason it must be replaced with a new ink cartridge. That could get expensive!Gonefishineveryday

I chose this new Canon printer after going through two Canon Pixma models over the last 10 years. The Maxify appears more robust with a better build quality. Speed to print after start up is ok, not great. I like the individual ink tank setup so I'm not replacing anything other than what runs dry. I do wish the scan function was accessible from the printer display vs. You have to open the IJ Print App to gain access to scanner functions. Also, the scanner does not handle duplex needs. It's pure manual for this. All that said, a great printer at a solid price point. It was cheap enough that I sprung for a Canon 4 Year warranty just to avoid a premature "death".Carolyn

Not a fan. I loved my old hp all in one deskjet. Just needed one that printed faster. I also wanted to continue using the HP instant ink service but it was such a pain to set up I had to call customer service at HP instant inc multiple multiple times and it was very hard to understand them. Ended up having to download a whole separate app for printing called mopria.
This printer also does not allow you to print photos from the main tray. It immediately asked you to load the 4 by 6 with photo paper. I've never had a printer that needed so much individual attention with every function. The only benefit I've seen so far is that it does print faster than the old 4600 series I had when it comes to regular documents.Maureen Smith

Honestly a great printer. Simple to set up and easy to connect to the Wi-Fi which is a huge deal. I'm not a big fan of the HP Smart app which seems to be the replacement for pretty much all the HP printer setups. However, setting up the printer and Windows 10 or newer is pretty simple, even without the HP Smart app. After connecting the printer to the Wi-Fi, it was easily recognized by the windows 10 and windows 11 operating system without even using the HP Smart app. However, certain functions are not available without the app. So unfortunately, if you're going to use the full functionality of the printer, you are stuck using the HP Smart app, which I think has a lot that it can improve on. If this review is based on the HP Smart app alone. Then the review would probably be one or two stars. However, HP makes a pretty good printer. The cost of ink is pretty rough and they kind of force you into using their subscription based ink service, which is a big reason why all of these new tank printers are a big deal from the Epson to the Canon tank printers. Saving money on ink is the big winner here. However, HP is yet to hop on this bandwagon, but all in all HP makes a great printer which is why I'm giving it a five stars. Wonderful capabilities, paper storage design, print output capture, physical elegance. Amazingly configurable networking capabilities. It should be a 5. But . . success at completing the setup process is very elusive. Because of its home-photo marketing pitch, primary customers are "retail" consumers. Successful setup depends on a deep understanding of the interconnectivity of the printer touch-screen, cellphone bluetooth setup app, RJ-45 router options, and the experience to selectively choose from an interleaved multi-source collection of competing instructions. Rated a 2 because few retail purchasers will succeed at setup. Helpdesk and returns costs to Best Buy and HP will be huge.LeftCoast61

HP Envy Pros: I bought this for 2-sided printing and the paper tray in the front. It works fine…as long as it's working fine. HP Envy Cons: But if there is a problem, it does not have a display screen to tell you about the problem. It does not communicate with the user at all except through a meaningless light show of flashing, glowing, and pulsing lights in 5 different colors. So unless you speak colored lights, then make sure you download the manual, which is very hard to find; don't waste time looking for it in HP Smart or 123hp just search for it on line. The manual includes literally 5 PAGES of 19 different descriptions of light color and movement with a description of what each color activity means. Absolutely crazy! The printer wont even tell me the ink levels; I have to go into HP Smart for that. The on/off button is in the back where I can't see it and it's hard to find by touch. If it stays on several hours, it won't turn off and I have to unplug and hold the power button 30 seconds, then replug. Tried using HP Smart to dx printer status when it won't turn off but HP Smart couldn't find a printer even after using Refresh button. Dont have time for HP123 virtual assistant to try and figure it out. The paper tray takes 2 hands to open.carol

I have a love hate with this printer. The pros: I LOVE the white. It blends in so much better and doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb in my living room. It’s much more compact than I expected as well. I love the LED lights and how modern it is. It’s also very quiet. It connected to my network and my phone seamlessly and I was able to print at the touch of a button. Now the cons: it requires a lot of adjusting to get the image being scanned or printed to come out correctly. It’s super washed out and a pain that you don’t just take it out and it’s ready to go. I have another HP printer that was plug in ready and although it is loud, requires no adjustments. I still can’t get this one sent the way I want it so that’s a huge downside for me. There is also no little tray for the paper to come out on. You have to flip a skinny piece of plastic out to catch your paper, I do not trust it to hold several documents at once. Overall, it’s an okay printer but it left a lot to be desired and I think the usability and paper holding capabilities are must haves for me when purchasing a printer so it left a lot to be desired. If you’re the casual printer, this may be for you. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion.mamastephanie

This little printer prints good quality images. It's also the hardest to get set up and working that I've ever dealt with, and I've bought at least 30 HP printers over the years. I'm travelling and in a hotel with sketchy WiFi, and trying to get through setup was a miserable, painful experience. I finally gave up, bought a USB printer cable, and hooked it up direct. An hour later, after downloading 2 different pieces of software, installing HP Smart, just the driver, rebooting several times, etc. I finally got it going. And printed 4 color pages before the ink ran out and it started streaking the page. No warning. Just boom, your ink's out halfway through. HP Smart tries to warn you that you might need to order ink!!! but the few times that's happened, it was already out and streaking. And it was QUICK. I printed 46 single page black and white, and working on 46 of the 2 pagers, 2 copies each, front all in black, back is full color (aerial photos). I'm on ink cartridge 3 for black and 3 for color, at $25 a pop, and I'm only halfway through the 2 pagers!! (single cartridge for all 3 colors means when you run out of yellow or blue, you need a new cartridge for all 3 colors, even though you've barely touched the magenta!!!) And this little thing thinks it has to print out an alignment image EVERY time you change a cartridge. I'm using 2 different software packages to print the 2 pager, so I printed the black side first, and doing the color sides on the reverse. Guess how many I've had to re-print due to the alignment happening? And how many had streaks of no color that I had to reprint? I would have saved myself a LOT of time and money to just take these an hour away to a print shop and have them do it. or even just driven to a larger town and gotten a better printer. It is NOT worth the time to set up, the money to buy, or the vast number of ink cartridges you have to buy, even for a relatively small job. Sorely disappointed. NEVER had luck bad a time with HP products.JG
