I have thick hair that's styled into a bob and I have been using a normal hairbrush to style my hair for the longest time. My hair doesn't tangle either when I use a rolling motion with this brush. It does heat up so you have to be careful but so far I haven't been burned or anything. The detachable parting tool is also a bonus that I enjoy. For reference, I bought the 1.3" brush and it's perfect for my above-shoulder length hair. If your hair is shorter and close to your jawline, I recommend buying the smaller sizes
I have never used a blow out brush so I was not sure how easy or hard this was going to be to use. This small round brush seemed to work really well for small sections of hair. I absolutely love the pin that is located inside the bottom of the brush. You pull this pin and you run it through sections of your hair to get nice even sections with less mess. I noticed this brush was great for my bangs and sides even though all of my hair is one length. It was great for these areas because it gave me lift and volume where I needed it the most. Some great points I found are this brush is its very lightweight which is super important since your arms up in the air for such a long period of time. The bristles even though kind of tough on the bare hand are very gentle on the scalp almost massaging. I loved that I noticed when using this my hair stayed straight longer and it has so much less frizz. I did notice that the barrel can get a bit hot when used for extended time. I’m a senior with fine lifeless hair that has never been able to hold any kind of hair clip. Also, as often happens with age it’s now thinning too. I keep my hair short and use the brush to style my hair when I’m drying it with my hairdryer. After using several cheaper brushes from the usual high street stores I decided to give this Denman a go given the reviews it was getting. Having used this brush for a few months now, I can honestly say that the quality of this brush speaks for itself. It is much less bulky than the high street equivalent, and has a nice semi rubberised texture to the handle which aids your grip. The bristles are attached to the body of the brush very well and gives the feeling of being able to withstand very harsh brushing as well the brute force of a 2 year old without worrying if the bristles will fall out. If you are wondering whether or not the extra few quid is worth it for this Denman, dont ponder any longer, this will easily outlast your next 23 cheaper alternatives and will pay for itself. Based on the most recent reviews, I decided to replace my Drybar brush for this one. I’ve had this brush for probably about a month now and the bristles are all either totally bent or falling off. I love this brush – I really must because I'm buying my fourth one. It's great for my pretty normal slightly wavy hair – detangles well, does a great job blow drying, etc. My 6 year old insists this is the only brush I use on her fine hair because "it doesn't hurt". I have fine silky straight hair that doesn’t get overly tangled but I tried this product on myself and my messy haired 4 year old who is blessed with thick wavy hair. Neither of us were a fan. Whilst the brush did detangle my daughters hair, she like myself found it very scratchy and uncomfortable. The prongs are solid and have zero bend and they’re pretty sharp too. The positive I can say is that I’m currently shedding a lot of hair as I’m breastfeeding my youngest and I definitely noticed less hair dropping using this brush- I suspect because the prongs are spaced so far apart there is less friction. Anyway- overall it didn’t work for us but perhaps that’s due our hair types.Elinreb
I have shoulder length straight, medium hair and this brush is not a good product in my opinion. Very uncomfortable to use because the teeth are rigid and sharp and they scratch. I gave up with it and binned it because blow drying your hair shouldn't be torture! I'll stick to drying my hair with a normal brush and finishing it off with my straighteners. I used to have an eco tools hair brush with a similar design which was amazing for drying my thick long hair. Unfortunately after years of use the bristles had worn away slightly and I was looking for a replacement, and like all good things of course it had to come to an end and eco tools decided to stop making them or at least I could not find them anywhere in stores or online. So I searched for a brush that was most like it, and for a couple of years there was absolutely nothing similar then tangle teezer came out with this and I was so excited. On my first use I knew straight away that it was a failure. The brush itself including the bristles is rock hard, so much so that it scratches your scalp to pieces, and that's in between your hair getting caught in the bristles and being ripped out. I don't have a sensitive head in any way, so I gave it a couple of chances but there was no way that it was bearable. It visibly scratches the scalp and it can not be healthy to pull the hair out, so the product itself should be looked into. Even if it's a faulty one, tangle teezer should not be allowed to let faulty brushes sold to the public as I've seen other reviews from people who have had similar experiences. so be warnedStar

My seven year old daughter loves this brush! All her other brushes pulls or yanks her hair, even when I used the detangler spray. She would leave the house miserable for school every morning. I have been on chemo and my hair is very brittle and breaks off a lot. I bought this brush and it honestly is the best brush I have ever used. GREAT hot air brush! I've owned several different brands over the years, and this is by far the best of the bunch. The brush heats quickly, and it doesn't get snarled in my shoulder-length hair. It never suddenly stops working after it heats up, either, the way some of the others did. While the air is sufficiently hot enough to style the stubborn, coarse hair that grows from the crown of my head, the brush and wand stay cool enough that I can touch them without burning my fingers. Everyone is different, but after a shampoo, I prefer to let my hair partially air-dry before touching it up with this brush. With just a bit of dampness left in my hair, the brush quickly smooths out any frizz and tames the ends, which tend to go every which-way without some styling. I just had my hair cut short, and I and plan to get the 1/2 inch model so I can still whisk my hair effortlessly into submission. Definitely recommend this hot air brush. This tangle free Hot air brush is very easy to use. I just don't have the dexterity to use a blow dryer and brush at the same time so I purchased this item. I have no problem using this to style my hair to get extra volume. I have fine hair medium length and I have not had any issues with it getting all tangled up. I hold it by the tip with one hand letting it turn and By the handle with my other hand and slowly turning it and pull slowly towards the ends of my hair. I find that it does work best on towel dried damp hair. If you have longer thicker hair you might want to section off your hair and do a bit at a time. I highly recommend this hot air brush.misspammy

I was quite surprised how much I liked this styler. It gave me super silky, straight hair that lasted throughout the day. The first time I tried it, I did not use any product and got great results. The second time I used a styling cream and the results were about the same. Next, I tried the method they suggest to get more volume. Honestly, all three ways I tried this gave me about the same results. I read reviews that said it replaces people's blow dryer and round brush. I would say it is more accurate to say this replaces blow drying with a paddle brush then using a straightening iron. It truly saves you a step. I also read people complain of the weight and how it tired their arms. I did not experience this but I regularly work out so that may be the difference. The only real complaint I have, which is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is the method used to turn the dryer on and off. It takes two hands since it is like a dial on the bottom. In my opinion, it would be much easier to use if I could turn it on and off with just one hand. I would also recommend that you give your hair a rough dry with the hair dryer or let it air dry for a while. Otherwise it will take a lot of time to dry. Still probably faster than the dryer and iron but I could see people's arms getting real tired this way. Other than that, I have to say I think this is a great product and I was very impressed with my results. I would definitely recommend this anyone looking to achieve straight silky hair.Nicky
Over the years I have tried many ways to dry and style my hair – brushes, blow dryers, straighteners, and all kinds of other tools. Nothing ever will compare to this InStyler Hot Hair Brush. The brush itself is made extremely well. It's easy to hold onto and easy to grip while using. It has three different settings – cool air, heat, and higher heat (all with air flow). The great thing about this is the control is at the base and you have to turn it to power it on and select the setting you want to use. This comes in really handy so you don't bump it while in use and shut it off or change the setting. My hair is to the middle of my back and is very thick, so getting it dry and styling it is always a huge ordeal – it usually takes ours but with this brush I can have my hair dry and styled in under 30 minutes. I usually use either hot setting to dry and style my hair and it work so quickly. It makes my hair so soft, gives it great volume, and makes it look so much healthier. If you are looking for a great blowout look, this brush is exactly what you need. It styles with little to no effort which is nice when you are a mom with little time to yourself like me. If you are looking for a more wave/curly look, all you need to do is put it on on the cooler setting and use it like a diffuser (like the ones you use with a blow dryer) you will get perfect waves and a great style. I am very happy with this brush, I don't see myself ever needing my straightener, round brushes, or blow dryer again. If it's wrong to be in love with a hair strainer then I don't want to be right! I love it! It does what it's supposed to do and does an amazing job. It not only dried and straightened my hair, but it had a soft sleek look to it! It felt soft and flowy and I could easily run my fingers easily through my hair. I've used other straightners before that made my hair feel brittle and hard. Not with the Maven Ceramic Hot Air brush! I would like to use an analogy to describe this product: This product is like a pair of tweezers. You could use only tweezers to maintain your eyebrows and have great brows. Anyone can use tweezers, they are simple to use and precise, but it will take you more time to maintain your brows. Using wax or other methods involves more tools and more skills, but it can be much faster and get the same result. In summary, the blowdryer feature on this thing is so wimpy. It takes longer to blow-dry my hair with this tool, but my hair looks silkier and smoother because I lack the skills to blow dry my hair properly using a traditional blowdryer and a round brush. I will continue to use this tool, but I hope they develop a more high powered version soon because I don't like how long it takes to dry the hair.Sette
If you are like me and have never been so great at maneuvering a hair dryer and roundbrush for at-home blowouts, I really highly recommend this! I have a lot of thin, wavy hair that gets very puffy and has very inconsistent texture. This thing makes it incredibly smooth with much lower heat than a curling or straightening iron. It also makes it really easy to build volume, swoop hair a certain direction etc. My ONLY complaint is that the part of the barrel that your hand wraps around is very wide in diameter. My hands are on the small side, and it does make my hand tired and make it a little harder to use than if it was thinner. But it's lightweight and does the job of two tools in one, so it's something I can deal with! Love this thing! Amazing for the price! I usually HATE styling my difficult hair but could see this being an every day kind of tool because it is so easy to use. One small recommendation – it's less powerful than a "real" hair dryer, so dry your hair until it's just barely holding any moisture first for the fastest results.Emily
