I have thick hair that's styled into a bob and I have been using a normal hairbrush to style my hair for the longest time. I finally ordered this hairbrush because I wasn't getting the results I wanted from a normal brush and I am so happy! I am actually able to "roll" my hair and it doesn't hurt! My hair doesn't tangle either when I use a rolling motion with this brush. It does heat up so you have to be careful but so far I haven't been burned or anything. The detachable parting tool is also a bonus that I enjoy. For reference, I bought the 1.3" brush and it's perfect for my above-shoulder length hair. If your hair is shorter and close to your jawline, I recommend buying the smaller sizes
I have never used a blow out brush so I was not sure how easy or hard this was going to be to use. This small round brush seemed to work really well for small sections of hair. I absolutely love the pin that is located inside the bottom of the brush. You pull this pin and you run it through sections of your hair to get nice even sections with less mess. I noticed this brush was great for my bangs and sides even though all of my hair is one length. It was great for these areas because it gave me lift and volume where I needed it the most. Some great points I found are this brush is its very lightweight which is super important since your arms up in the air for such a long period of time. The bristles even though kind of tough on the bare hand are very gentle on the scalp almost massaging. I loved that I noticed when using this my hair stayed straight longer and it has so much less frizz. I did notice that the barrel can get a bit hot when used for extended time. I’m a senior with fine lifeless hair that has never been able to hold any kind of hair clip. Also, as often happens with age it’s now thinning too. I keep my hair short and use the brush to style my hair when I’m drying it with my hairdryer. Spend the money and get the decent brush. Conair makes a lot of things I love and use, great value most of the time. I just scooped my wet hair up in this and Tangled it all up in there so that it was literally resting on top of my head. 40 minutes later and an entire bottle of leaving greasy conditioner I finally worked the brush loose with a pick comb. I have never had this with any other round blow dry brush ever. Here's a tip I found online if you ever get your brush in and it literally will not move at all, do a Google search for how to get a stuck brush out of your hair. This is a professional tool, yes, but it’s a tool for styling professionals to use on their clients, not a tool for us at home to get a more professional look to our everyday diy home blowouts. And here’s why: the rubber handle grip will stick to large sections of your hair and pull it right out of your head unless you can perfectly section your hair onto just the bristled area of the brush like a stylist does. Let me tell you, no matter what I tried with my long hair, I could not keep strands or whole sections of hair from falling suddenly onto the grip and getting stuck (OUCH). Not only was this painful, but when the hair got stuck on the rubber grip the brush itself was no longer able to pull through the hair that was on the brush bristles and I had to untangle my hair from the grip and start over, making this brush useless even if I could stand the pain of hair pulling. This is one of those items QVC didn’t quite think through, as professional stylists are much more likely to purchase this at a cheaper price from beauty supply stores and most of us everyday gals are likely to return it and rate it poorly, which won’t reflect well on T3, because it doesn’t work for everyday home styling. This is literally the BEST round brush I have used! Not sure what all the bad reviews are about. People are saying that the bristles hurt their scalp and that the rubber part pulls on their hair…I’m honestly quite confused. That’s definitely user error. Obviously you can tell that’s it going to be a little scratchy by looking at it and touching it, so not sure why it’s such a shock to so many. Also, how hard are you touching your scalp with the brush? It shouldn’t hurt that bad…I feel the bristles on my scalp but not enough to be in pain and leave a bad review. The sharp bristles are my favorite part about this brush. I like a good scratchy bristle on my scalp. I can see how a previous reviewer said it’s perfect for her bangs because bangs are in the front of your face and generally away from other hair that could get caught in the handle. If you’re using this for your whole head like me and have got a lot of hair, your hair may get caught on the rubber handle. The handle feels awesome and is nice and squishy to hold which makes it feel better when you’re pulling your hair taut with the brush, you don’t feel like you’re going to have blisters when you’re done so that part is nice. But the rubber grip is like flubber… although it’s attached to my hand, it also attaches my hair to it and I don’t have the time or energy to keep unraveling my hair out of the brush so that it doesn’t get pulled out. If this brush had a wooden handle I would keep it. Sadly even though my other brushes don’t feel as good on my scalp, I think I’ll have to deal with them until I find one that is a game changer. Just got this delivered and was thinking it was a gimmick, I'll probably send it back. But I read the directions and gave it a try. Was I shocked. I have very fine hair, that is thinning as well ( even with supplements, I fight genes and low calorie diet, winter shedding, thyroid problems and senior texture, etc ) so I carefully applied the brush. It felt good, as I massaged my scalp. It didn't tangle my long hair. In fact, even with winter dry air – there was no static. After 5 minutes of a circular motion, my hair looked like it was blown dry! It had a shine and " fluffy " appearance. I was using a wet/dry brush in the past- also touted as a gentle tool, but always had to clean the brush of all the fuzz and broken hairs. I have mid length fine hair, but a lot of it. I used this in the shower with my shampoo and then conditioner. I had difficulty getting this through my hair. The bristles are too short for me and had trouble trying to move this through my hair from top to bottom. It did remove some hair which would always happen when I wash my hair. I have used this on my dry hair, and it is difficult to use. I feel that short haired people would enjoy this. I will keep to use on my cats. I initially purchased this brush for me because I do have issues with thinning hair. After using, I discovered how gentle and the massaging feel, I used on my 21 yr old cat & my 2 legged kitty. So personally this brush is not great whatsoever when it comes to detangling my hair (I have type 3c/4a curly hair.) I bought this brush about 1-2 years ago and tried using it multiple but every time I would use it my curls would get really clumped together, I would have a lot naps/knots, and the definition in my hair was never as good as when I would use my fingers. However, recently I have finally found a use for this brush when it comes to styling my hair. This brush is amazing when it comes to slicking my hair back in ponytails and other slick back styles. Honestly it’s the only thing that really slicks back my hair nicely. So this is why I personally give it 3 stars.amber.i
The Denman brush is such a great styling tool. I would not recommend using this as a detangling brush if you have thick coily hair but as a styling brush it works perfectly. I have type 4 hair and it defines my curls beautifully with the help of some leave-in conditioner and gel. I definitely recommend giving this brush a try. The “Denman” brand is a bit expensive, but there are other brands that sell the same style of brush. They all work the same. You can purchase this product at most beauty supply stores.geena.c
I bought the brush because of the good description. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed.. Positive: – the brush is good in the hand. – The brush pulls dog hair well out of the hair thanks to the rubber pad (have 4 Hundeli..) – when wet, the brush can arrange the hair very well and the long bristles are enough even for my thick, long North African hair! Negatives: – The brush pulls strongly and is painful. – The bristles are exrtrem Hard and not flexible (the solid rubber pad gives only a little). – I wear a vintage cut for vintage curls, meaning my hair is not layered. The brush struggles at the tips. It gets through the top pretty well, the bottom I usually have to help with my fingers. – Never in my life have I had statically charged hair! I use a Schwerses hair oil for Indian hair…. nevertheless, this brush creates it after a brush stroke on dry hair that the hair flies around everywhere. Even "unloaded" on the heater / water tap of the brush brings nothing! Immediately it charges widee. (Hairspray also does not help…) My hair is always air-dried and kept supple with oil. The clothes I wear (even without clothes and without carpet…) does not change anything…. This one point brings me to such a negative rating. I've never had this in my life… and the brush is touted as extra static charge resistant thanks to rubber pads… too bad. Use it only wet… although I have actually ordered to the same order a Wetbrush… this wiederrum I use now dry, because it does not charge.Fatima

This is such a cute and sturdy brush. My head is very sensitive and I absolutely hate brushing my hair and even more so when it’s dry. I have 3b type hair and I don’t normally use brushes with bristles like these anymore, but I decided to try it on my dry and tangled hair and I have to say that I like it. The bristles are a lot softer than I expected and they move with your hair while you brush so it makes it a lot less painful. And because the bristles are soft they can get damaged pretty easily. Thankfully, it comes with its own case that protects them! Overall I’m enjoying this brush and I think it’s time to ditch my old one for this one 3shana.a
This brush is the best brush I’ve honestly ever used on my curly hair. It is nice and flexible to reduce the tension on the hair which helps with breakage. It glides through the hair and makes it easy to detangle. It is also super easy to clean because the bristles are smooth and allows the hair to be pulled right off. My hair had a 2" growing spurt which brought it down past my belt line this year. Learning how to brush this wavy mess has been a slow process! My ion brush- paddle brush and the worse is my comb in the shower with my conditioner. I'm happily complaining because I never dreamed of reaching this length 🙂 I love love Love this new brush! I’ve had this brush for a few months. I bought it because I wanted an affordable hairbrush with boar bristles to distribute the natural oils from my scalp. I’ve used it a lot before bed when I didn’t plan on washing my hair the next day. It really does smooth my hair and distribute oils very well! I have really thick and long hair. I divide it into sections pretty haphazardly and spend about 5 minutes brushing it. I love this brush so much! I was hesitant to spend so much on a brush, particularly a travel sized version. But I actually really enjoy the smaller size because it is easier to take with me on the go and I can more easily target smaller sections of hair (e.g. bangs, flyaways at my roots). I can still use it to brush my long hair, it just takes a little more time than if I were to use a full sized brush. The bristles are firm but soft, help to smooth my frizz and add incredible softness and shine to my bleached hair. The brush itself has a nice weight to it and is absolutely beautiful to look at (pictures do not do it justice!). Definitely a luxury item but if you are thinking of splurging, I really don't think you'd be disappointed!melanie.s

Also, it seemed to leave my kids' hair slightly more staticy than other brushes we've tried.
I had purchased a brush similar to this that cost twice this amount and my daughter lost it… so I wasn’t ready to invest in one that was too much but needed one that still gave me results but cost less. I took a chance and was pleasantly surprised! Both my girls (13 & 11) love using this they have long, really thick hair and this brush makes the process of getting their hair done so much easier. With this price I may even get a second one!

I was disappointed in the Ibiza EX 4 brush. It was very well reviewed, but it does not grab the hair firmly. I use it to brush my hair, but the bristles dont grab. I actually ended up getting the Spornette brush. It is cheaper and that is the one I was going to get. I will try to use this brush, but it has not lived up to my expectations.mindym777
