I love this brush. My daughter has very thick curly hair. Brushing used to take forever and we still felt like it was only getting the knots out of the top layer. This is a professional tool, yes, but it’s a tool for styling professionals to use on their clients, not a tool for us at home to get a more professional look to our everyday diy home blowouts. And here’s why: the rubber handle grip will stick to large sections of your hair and pull it right out of your head unless you can perfectly section your hair onto just the bristled area of the brush like a stylist does. Let me tell you, no matter what I tried with my long hair, I could not keep strands or whole sections of hair from falling suddenly onto the grip and getting stuck (OUCH). Not only was this painful, but when the hair got stuck on the rubber grip the brush itself was no longer able to pull through the hair that was on the brush bristles and I had to untangle my hair from the grip and start over, making this brush useless even if I could stand the pain of hair pulling. This is one of those items QVC didn’t quite think through, as professional stylists are much more likely to purchase this at a cheaper price from beauty supply stores and most of us everyday gals are likely to return it and rate it poorly, which won’t reflect well on T3, because it doesn’t work for everyday home styling. At the same time I purchased this brush, I also purchased a hairdryer from T3. The hairdryer hasn’t arrived yet, but I am expecting to love it.Kadidid
This is literally the BEST round brush I have used! Not sure what all the bad reviews are about. People are saying that the bristles hurt their scalp and that the rubber part pulls on their hair…I’m honestly quite confused. That’s definitely user error. Obviously you can tell that’s it going to be a little scratchy by looking at it and touching it, so not sure why it’s such a shock to so many. Also, how hard are you touching your scalp with the brush? It shouldn’t hurt that bad…I feel the bristles on my scalp but not enough to be in pain and leave a bad review. And the handle getting tangled and pulling hair? Um, how?? I never had an issue with hair getting caught in the handle…not sure how hair would end up there if you’re using it correctly. I think it’s an whaling brush and I’ve been using it for over a year now. It styles my hair faster than others I’ve used in the past and makes smooth and frizz free! The sharp bristles are my favorite part about this brush. I like a good scratchy bristle on my scalp. I can see how a previous reviewer said it’s perfect for her bangs because bangs are in the front of your face and generally away from other hair that could get caught in the handle. If you’re using this for your whole head like me and have got a lot of hair, your hair may get caught on the rubber handle. The handle feels awesome and is nice and squishy to hold which makes it feel better when you’re pulling your hair taut with the brush, you don’t feel like you’re going to have blisters when you’re done so that part is nice. But the rubber grip is like flubber… although it’s attached to my hand, it also attaches my hair to it and I don’t have the time or energy to keep unraveling my hair out of the brush so that it doesn’t get pulled out. If this brush had a wooden handle I would keep it. Sadly even though my other brushes don’t feel as good on my scalp, I think I’ll have to deal with them until I find one that is a game changer. Just got this delivered and was thinking it was a gimmick, I'll probably send it back. But I read the directions and gave it a try. Was I shocked. I have very fine hair, that is thinning as well ( even with supplements, I fight genes and low calorie diet, winter shedding, thyroid problems and senior texture, etc ) so I carefully applied the brush. It felt good, as I massaged my scalp. It didn't tangle my long hair. In fact, even with winter dry air – there was no static. After 5 minutes of a circular motion, my hair looked like it was blown dry! It had a shine and " fluffy " appearance. I was using a wet/dry brush in the past- also touted as a gentle tool, but always had to clean the brush of all the fuzz and broken hairs. I look forward to using this new product daily, as I was careful not to brush my hair too often ( because of the breakage). I have mid length fine hair, but a lot of it. I used this in the shower with my shampoo and then conditioner. I had difficulty getting this through my hair. The bristles are too short for me and had trouble trying to move this through my hair from top to bottom. It did remove some hair which would always happen when I wash my hair. I have used this on my dry hair, and it is difficult to use. I feel that short haired people would enjoy this. I will keep to use on my cats. I can put one on each hand and brush each cat – almost like they are getting a massage as well. I can't return because I threw out the boxes. I initially purchased this brush for me because I do have issues with thinning hair. After using, I discovered how gentle and the massaging feel, I used on my 21 yr old cat & my 2 legged kitty. Both are very sensitive to stroking motions on their back and sides, but this brush was absolutely amazing for them. The long hair also easily detangles so no pulling. Also, because its washable, those less than clean areas are easily de-matted and the brush is easy to clean. One other comment, the kitties seem to like the idea of bristles in my hand as compared to the regular handle brush prior used. I have wavy/ curly hair and I saw a lot of people suggest a brush like this. I am happy with the results, I put my product in and then brushed through when my hair was wet and it did seem to help with definition. I’ve seen where people separate and trust each curl clump, but I simply brushed as normal. The only thing is that you have to start at the bottom of your hair or your tangles will be worse. I am IN LOVE with this brush! When I purchased this brush I was mostly buying it for my 5 year old. She has very very thick curly hair that goes all the way down to her tailbone. Because of that her hair knots so easily and shes really tenderheaded so i usually wait to brush her hair while im washing it. Ive tried SO MANY brushes meant to detangle and meant to be used on wet hair and all that. It would take FOREVER to get her hair brushed, about an hour at the least. But then i found this brush, and it has helped so much! It only takes 20-30 mins to brush her hair at the most. It's so easy to brush it. What I thought was really cool about this brush was that I can slide up the brush part and take out the brissles and clean it easily! The only hard part is remembering where the brissles go once youre done cleaning it. The only thing I could see being a problem is the fact that the brush part slides up, it may end up sliding up while youre brushing. I havent really had this issue other than the it sliding up a tiny bit but I honestly dont even notice it until I'm done brushing. It also has a silicone grip at the end of the handle. This brush is very strong and amazing for brushing through my thick hair! I really was expecting this brush to break, especially the nylon pins once it met my hair. I loved this brush. this is the first detangling brush that is easy on my scalp. I always had problems growing my hair because it's curly and until now. I bought this brush just over a year ago, but have not used it much as I found it to be quite heavy & it does not grip the hair very well. Surprisingly after not being used much the metal on the barrel has split & broken. I would not recommend or repurchase this as the product has not met expectations. I am shocked that a ghd brush would need to be replaced so quickly, I was expecting a better quality product with a longer life span.MM01
TL;DR: There is no need to spend this much money on a brush. You will not be getting an experience that is better than one you can get with a much less dear one. Holds hair really well, however, it is is not the easiest to hold as the handle is unusually thin in diameter and smooth. It doesn't seem as thin in the pics, but in hand it is a lot thinner than any other brush I've ever had. It has a very subtle rubbery feel but no texture (no grips) so it is really easy to drop. You have to hold on tight with a very closed hand to ensure you don't drop it and to pull through each stroke (which takes considerable force as it holds hair quite well). Turning and rolling at the ends is made harder than it should be because of this. You have to work hard not to let it slip. It would not be suitable for anyone with weak hands, large hands or even semi poor dexterity. I have none of these things and struggle with it. Now, it is the most beautiful brush I've ever seen – sleek! matte! gorgeous! – and the box it comes in is lovely. Even with the handle issue I get happy when I see it because I care way too much about these things. I mean, I still keep it in the box! (Seek help; I know). Seems like there was a good deal more emphasis put on aesthetic design than on user experience, which is not good design in the end. No reason they couldn't have achieved both here. My hair had a 2" growing spurt which brought it down past my belt line this year. Learning how to brush this wavy mess has been a slow process! My ion brush- paddle brush and the worse is my comb in the shower with my conditioner. I'm happily complaining because I never dreamed of reaching this length 🙂 I love love Love this new brush! When I brush from forehead to the base of my neck I can raise this big paddle brush out of my hair. As in, not follow thru on the strokes down the length of my belt linelong hair. I was sitting on my hair and just fully enjoying running these super fine bristles from my hairline to my neck. The brush lifts right out at the base of my head without pulling one hair!!! I usually use a stiff bristle brush from goody on my ponytails but I needed something much softer for my baby. This worked great for 12-24mos when she had tiny ponytails. I have had a natural bristle hairbrush for 30 years and loved it. The brush did not wear out, but the wooden handle started to decay. I shopped around and settled for the Hammacher Schlemmer boar bristle brush. At first, the higher price stunned me. But when I considered the issues I had with artificial brushes (scratching my scalp; not helping the thinning hair stay in place), there weren't any other choices. I wish, I wish that I had known of "The Boar Bristle Brush" decades ago! What an absolutely wonderful hair brush. If I had known sooner of this brush sooner, I would have purchased this brush as a present for family and friends – it is that wonderful. I use the brush to massage my scalp (have developed scalp psoriasis in my later years), as well as to brush my hair. It's like my head breathes a 'sigh of relief' every time I brush my hair! I love how this brush doesn't scratch my scalp or pull out my fine hair. I don't love how there are always a few random bristles that fall out while brushing or cleaning hair from the bristles. The brush cleaner that comes with the hairbrush is too rough – it rips out too many bristles. Really, just don't use it. Use a comb, or fingers, to gently pull hair from the brush. There are no instructions on how to wash this hairbrush, so I'll have to check the internet for information. Overall, it seems to be a nice hairbrush, but overpriced for what you get. There's something about a lifetime guarantee, but I don't know where I would return it or how much postage it would cost.Sarah

This brush is amazing!!! I have been extremely drawn to LED light therapy for myself and my family since being in saunas that have the technology (Scientific studies have been done that show health benefits for people with cancer and so on) It has super strong metal bristles that combined with the vibration and LED lights is so amazing and relaxing I absolutely love it. I have a bad habit of running my fingers through my hair (which I suppose could cause split ends) so every time I get the urge to do that I use this brush instead. It already has made my hair look thicker, stronger, and shinier in just a couple weeks plus my scalp feels invigorated and does not have the dry flaky thing going on. Superpleased with this hairbrush! it has a great value to it – and really works wonder with your hair!! The natural fibres do not contribute to static hair, it helps reduce it! I bought the 855. I've only used it once, but so far I'm happy with it. You can tell it's of good quality materials. Haven't had the problems with the bristles falling out that I noticed in other reviews — but again I just got it. I have quite thick, coarse, and voluminous hair and it definitely holds on tight and gets through it without damaging it or ripping it like most brushes. And, it doesn't add frizz like other products I've used. My only complaint is the handle, which I wish was thicker or had a better grip on it. Kind of hurts my hand to use it after a while.F
I ordered the large brush. The brush looks great especially the finely carved handle (Italian craftmenship what else can you ask for?). The large size is also great for long hair because it can glide through more easily with the extra long bristles. This brush is also static free which is nice because I got very long and dry hair. The ONLY thing I don't like with this brush is that the bristles keep on falling out during the first 3 to 4 times that I used it. It is still falling out but less now. I did not expect any bristles to fall out because it is made in Italy. I wanted to return it but can't deal with all the hassels.Lafirebird

So personally this brush is not great whatsoever when it comes to detangling my hair (I have type 3c/4a curly hair.) I bought this brush about 1-2 years ago and tried using it multiple but every time I would use it my curls would get really clumped together, I would have a lot naps/knots, and the definition in my hair was never as good as when I would use my fingers. However, recently I have finally found a use for this brush when it comes to styling my hair. This brush is amazing when it comes to slicking my hair back in ponytails and other slick back styles. Honestly it’s the only thing that really slicks back my hair nicely. So this is why I personally give it 3 stars.amber.i
The Denman brush is such a great styling tool. I would not recommend using this as a detangling brush if you have thick coily hair but as a styling brush it works perfectly. I have type 4 hair and it defines my curls beautifully with the help of some leave-in conditioner and gel. I definitely recommend giving this brush a try. The “Denman” brand is a bit expensive, but there are other brands that sell the same style of brush. They all work the same. You can purchase this product at most beauty supply stores.geena.c
I bought the brush because of the good description. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed.. Positive: – the brush is good in the hand. – The brush pulls dog hair well out of the hair thanks to the rubber pad (have 4 Hundeli..) – when wet, the brush can arrange the hair very well and the long bristles are enough even for my thick, long North African hair! Negatives: – The brush pulls strongly and is painful. – The bristles are exrtrem Hard and not flexible (the solid rubber pad gives only a little). – I wear a vintage cut for vintage curls, meaning my hair is not layered. The brush struggles at the tips. It gets through the top pretty well, the bottom I usually have to help with my fingers. – Never in my life have I had statically charged hair! I use a Schwerses hair oil for Indian hair…. nevertheless, this brush creates it after a brush stroke on dry hair that the hair flies around everywhere. Even "unloaded" on the heater / water tap of the brush brings nothing! Immediately it charges widee. (Hairspray also does not help…) My hair is always air-dried and kept supple with oil. The clothes I wear (even without clothes and without carpet…) does not change anything…. This one point brings me to such a negative rating. I've never had this in my life… and the brush is touted as extra static charge resistant thanks to rubber pads… too bad. Use it only wet… although I have actually ordered to the same order a Wetbrush… this wiederrum I use now dry, because it does not charge.Fatima
