This bike is one of the best investments we've made. It performs flawlessly and there is plenty of versatility whereas we no longer need a gym membership. The price point was perfect the membership price is certainly worth it. Therefore, I would highly recommend this piece of equipment in your gym. However, we bought Echelon shoes and just over 30 days later my Velcro broke. Since it was after 30 days later I could not return them. We had other dealings with customer service in the months just after buying the bike. The customer service leaves much to be desired as far as buying accessories from the company. They are a third-party and getting a hold of the corporate seems to be near impossible. I still gave the five star review simply because the equipment is outstanding. Just don't buy accessories from their store if you need to return them it is quite a process.
I absolutely LOVE this bike and the community that rides it. I bought my bike (Costco 4S) in February 2021 and today, (11/15/2022) I completed my 1000th workout. I have over 800 rides and almost 200 Fitpass classes completed. The variety of classes makes it possible for me to ride either a live or on-demand ride every day, whether I feel like riding 75 minutes or want to take it easy with a 20 minute low impact ride. The instructors are exceptional. While I have never met any of them personally, they project warmth and compassion, and make me, the rider feel like I am important to them. The feeling I get from them is that this is more than just a job, it is really their passion and they care about us, their riders. The variety of Facebook groups specific to Echelon are numerous and there is something for everyone. When I had an issue with the attached tablet not allowing me to log in, I sent a Facebook message to Echelon and within 5 minutes I had a message back with instructions how to reset the tablet. Ok people this is not a shirt you can stuff back in the bag and return to QVC. The thing took my husband 2 hours to put together and it weighs a ton. So here are the details to assist. Full disclosure I'm a 5'4 fat lady (working on changing the fat part, hence the bike.) So I had been using the x-bike and wanted to level up for a sturdy bike that I could do standing cycle jogging out of the saddle. I'd been using the fancy bike app with my x-bike so and didn't want to spend the extra on a bike with the attached monitor. Like I need another screen in my house??? I like using the bike with my Ipad so I can take any class, you tube, peloton app or just netflix and spin so this seemed to be the ticket. Ok so here's the downfalls: 1- THE SEAT IS A TORTURE DEVICE- this was just not doable for me or my 14 year old son who validated my concern. So no problem, did some research and ordered a new bike seat on amazon, spent an hour or so learning how to change on youtube now comfy seat- check. 2- Configuration IS A SQUEEZE- ok so if you move the HANDLEBARS up they also move outwards from the body, assuming that all riders are super tall that want high handles, they say to raise them high if you are pregnant have back pain or are a beginner, so you better be tall too. Of course, you can move the seat forward to match but then wait my knees are in a funny position, and oh how do I get off this thing? The brake is right on my who-ha while I try to shimee out of this thing. So now I just find myself riding too far up and back to avoid knee pain or who-ha dismount, so feel like I'm bracing for dear life to get to those handle bars way forward. 3. The setting to move up the seat are not very clear and make it difficult to find the right spot again if someone else uses the bike. Wind-up! So with all this you wonder why I still have it. Well, it's a nice bike, I spent about $1000 bucks time and energy getting it set up, and I'm assuming that as I get thin these issues will subside. So my overall review is short fat ladies try before you buy, because no way in heck your getting this thing in a box again.MsMyka

I read all the reviews, watched all the comparison videos and finally selected the Bowflex C6 as my indoor exercise option. Price point and freedom of choice of apps were the primary points in my selection. The bike is very quiet, has been quite sturdy and I've enjoyed using it. I struggled a LOT with the JRNY app initially, running on a PIxel Slate (a ChromeOS device that runs Android apps) and that was pretty much a disaster. It crashed frequently and many options just didn't work. But then, I tried a real Android tablet and the app works great. I actually enjoy it. I tried a couple others and will do more, but the JRNY app is good if you have a device it runs on. So far I haven't had any problems with pedals coming loose as some have. I do find the water bottle placement is unfortunate as I either hit it during hard rides or feel like I will – neither of which are good. So, I generally leave my water bottle on a nearby table that I an reach. Small gripe, but also easy to fix if the company wanted to. Easy to put together, although the instructions were a little to terse – I spent a while looking for the needed bolts in one step before realizing they were already screwed into their spots in the bike (to be removed before reattaching with the needed accessory). Again, it's a small gripe, but also easy to fix. Overall I've been quite happy.
I usually don't bother with reviews but wanted to do one here since there's so little info to be found on the C7 (loads on the C6 though!). I bought this bike to use as a peleton alternative with the peleton app. The bike is a great bike. I've ridden outdoor bikes a lot (road and mountain) but never really went to the indoor bikes until this. I have been pleasantly surprised. The seat is actually very comfortable, especially with bike shorts. If you're not used to sitting on a bike seat then of course it'll feel weird, but you let butt gets used to it. This thing is super quiet and easy to use, easy to adjust resistance, easy to connect Bluetooth. It's a little difficult at first rising with the peleton app because of trying to figure out resistance levels. Even the 'conversion charts' online don't feel like they're accurate. My only real complaints about it is the water bottle holder should be set further back to avoid hitting your knees on it (there's lots of complaints about this with the c6, which is basically the same bike without the console). The screen is quite small to use as your entertainment or spin class but it's perfect for using as manual mode for the metrics during a peleton class (which I watch on my tv).KC
I ordered the Bowflex ultimately because it was a more affordable product than the Peloton bike, but could sync with the app on my phone. While there are many other alternatives, so many of them also come with their own software, and I wanted to keep sharing the app with my sister and stick with the instructors I know, so I appreciated that there's a tech stand but no required/automatic app. When riding, I can see my cadence on the Peloton app which is great because it's a little harder to read on the bike display screen. It'd be fabulous if I could track resistance on the app too. (If you're a Peloton user – or aspiring user – too but considering buying the Bowflex machine – an Apple Watch will track your heartrate while you ride and sync with the Peloton app to give you an output in the Peloton app. I jussst switched to Fitbit, which does not sync with the Peloton app. :-/) I set the bike up myself! It was straightforward, I'd say, and it didn't take long, considering. It maybe took me 45-50 minutes (including the time I spent finding tools I hid under other pieces, ha). I find that the bike is sturdy; it doesn't wiggle and wobble while I ride. It's quiet too! Except for the exasperated sighs I make while on it, it doesn't make any sound. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and look forward to many many rides on my Bowflex C6. #sweepstakes

After I received my stationary bike, I’m very happy that I made the right decision on it. I work at a restaurant and get off really late, that’s why I don’t have that much time to go gym to work out. This bike it’s really convenient to move around with its wheels. The another good thing for it is that it doesn’t make noise when I use it. So I can do exercise whenever I like to. There is a spot I can hold my phone while exercising. The seat is adjustable and comfortable. I put it together by myself in about half hour. It was easy to assemble and I like everything about it. This review will be broken down into two parts: Installation/Delivery & use of the product. Installation/Delivery: Firstly, I am so happy to currently be a member of the Total Tech Membership. As a result, I was able to get this bike for $500. That $500 included not only the bike, but also the delivery AND installation. I ordered the bike about a week ago and set up delivery/install for Friday 1.21.22. The two guys that came to complete the bike delivery and set up were AWESOME! I think we were their last delivery on Friday as they called and said they were driving back from Sheboygan then to Green Bay to pick up bike, then up to Door County. Even though I could tell they had a LONG day these two guys were EXCEPTIONAL. They came in brought the bike downstairs and happily went to work on putting it together. They got the whole thing together and rocking and rolling in about 40 minutes (totally worth me not doing it b/c I'm sure it would've taken me much longer). They gave me a tutorial on use and took everything away. Both of these guys deserve a TEN out of TEN for their efforts & hard work (even on a late Friday night). Thanks MUCH to them Use of Product: my wife did a ride yesterday on the bike and I used it this morning before work. The product is SUPER easy to use and it is VERY VERY QUIET (you can hardly hear it running). I love that they have user profiles that keep track of your workouts and overall distances that you bike (it allows 4 profiles). This bike has a great display for your workouts and it has plenty of choices for programs. It also has a fan and though I haven't used it yet it has a USB port and speakers for listening to what you'd like (I am an ear buds kind of guy). When using the bike it is VERY comfortable (I'm 5'10') and the seat moves with ease. This was the perfect last piece of exercise equipment we needed for our basement gym and it provides a good workout without major stress on the body. I would HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone who is on the fence about buying it. Schwinn has pulled a complete bait and switch on these units that to me borders on criminal. There USED to be (and is advertised) a free app that you could download to interact with these units as well as keep track of your workouts. However, that has gone the way of the dodo bird – extinct! The old app is still referenced in the owners/installation menu. The app has been removed from all app stores – no matter the device. What Schwinn has done is convert to a Peleton type structure where the app is now a subscription based service. Total money grab. If the app worked like Peleton, I could almost get behind it – not even close. There are only 3 or 4 free "rides" you can do with the new app but none are interactive to where the resistance varies based on the terrain. The app does make the video come to a halt if you stop pedaling – that's it. No matter what speed you pedal, the video just trundles along at the same speed. I did a quick review of the paid "rides" and they all said "video only" so even the paid app does NOT provide any interactive workout other than the view going by at a constant speed – unless you stop. No resistance changes, no speed changes, just a slow ride through the scenery. Also, the Bluetooth….would you expect that to link to your device and let you play music? NOPE!!! The only thing the Bluetooth will link to is the new app. I was told by Schwinn support that it would link to other apps but I tried 3 of what they recommended and no Bluetooth link unless on their app. Worthless. So, there is also a little fan on the console that has a vent similar to an A/C vent in a car. Great idea…..poor execution. The fan is mounted inside the plastic enclosure in such a way that when the air exits the front of the vent, it's blowing at a 45 degree angle and it shoots off to the left, doing a nice job of cooling your left forearm but not a whisp of air on your face. The seating position on this is also uncomfortable. The seat moves up and down at a steep angle – so much so that the instructions say to get out of the seat before adjusting. That is ridiculous. If they were being honest, they would say, "Our design is poor and you can't actually adjust the seat while seated". If you do decide to adjust the seat while actually seated (so you can tell where you need to set it – duh), you better have at least one foot FIRMLY on the pedal, ready to support most of your body weight. Otherwise, the seat will SLAM to the bottom and jam your back – yes, I did it! This is not like any recumbent bike Ive ever been on – the ergonomics just are NOT good. The angle is just not right. Setup took about 90 minutes with assistance from a step-by-step YouTube video that made identifying parts and order a breeze (SEARCH: "Complete! It's really not too bulky either and fits well along the wall of our room, so its pretty much out of the way. It has wheels in the front and a handle in the back to enable you to easily lift and move the bike. There is also a media shelf underneath the main display to hold your phone or tablet, and also a USB port to keep your device charged during your work out. The only negative thing you might have is that the Bluetooth capability is limited to using their app for downloading information about your session. You can't stream any music to its internal speakers at all. You will need to use the supplied 3.5mm input port and cable to attach to an MP3 player or phone that has a similar jack to play any music from the speakers. But you can just use your own phone or tablet along with wireless earbuds or headphones for better sound. The bike itself is very quiet when pedaling, which is nice. It has 25 levels of resistance which is plenty, and includes a heart rate monitor via the handles mounted on either side of the seat. A little nice addition is the cup holder/storage for your water bottle and/or remote control. Compare all this to the very similar (and more expensive) Nautilus R618 Recumbent bike that has almost identical features and made by the same company.BobG

I decided to purchase this bike after an exhaustive searching and researching spin bikes. After a hiatus from fitness, I remember very well what a quality bike should look like. It's sturdy, has all the functionality I wanted, and combined with an HR monitor, cadence monitor, and Peloton App I can get an exceptional cardio workout right from my own home! I just assembled and used my bike so this is an initial assessment. 1. Delivery was fast! 2. Packaging was exceptional. 3. Assembly instructions were very clear. There are very few steps so the process is easy. All parts went together easily (I.e. no misaligned holes, etc). 4. The seat was surprisingly comfortable. 5. I got a great workout with only three turns of the resistance knob. (Each turn moves the knob halfway around. The knob can be turned 16 times, so 8 full rotations.) 6. The handlebar isn’t padded. Some may like this but I had to use a towel. I might add padding. 7. Build-quality seems very high. As the title says, I definitely would recommend this bike.BK

…but now I am a believer. I had initially thought that the BikeErg would fall through simply because there are plenty of other stationary bike options, but I was wrong. I thought to purchase it for a few reasons (1) the brand: we owned a Concept2 Rower a few years back and in terms of quality it was second to none. (2) the ease of use: the problem we had with the rower was that it was difficult (psychologically) to just jump on the machine and do a quick session. One had to pay attention to form and the intensity of the workout formed something of a mental obstacle to quick workouts. Not so with the BikeErg. You can just jump on real quick as your passing by without any sense of dread—and once you start working out, if you're like me, you tend to go hard even if you did not initially intend to. It happens naturally. I was also looking at the Rogue Echo, but opted for the BikeErg because I wanted something that my wife and I could use without that psychological obstacle. We probably would have used the Echo for a week or two before neglecting it in the garage. We've had the BikeErg for about two weeks now and have put it to use daily. It makes working out so easy and fun. The bike is well built and Concept2 is an excellent company to deal with—they stand by their products. I have so far had to contact them for an issue, and I got an email in less than 24 hours and was on the phone with Concept2 with a solution by the next morning. We knew, based on re-selling our Concept2 row machine that if we didn't like the bike we'd be able to sell it right away, so it was really a low-risk investment and it certainly has been paying off.
It has been almost 5 months, 1.4 million meters/860 miles, over 50 hours of ride time and I couldn’t be happier with my BikeErg! I have been tweaking the fit and also made a couple of changes since my first review. The first is replacing the saddle with a Selle Italia Turbo saddle, which you can see in one of the attached pictures. While the padding on the original saddle is very comfy, I opted to go with a different one for two reasons. One, the original saddle felt a bit bouncy to me and two, I wanted a saddle with an upsweep on the tail, which the original one doesn’t have. While changing the saddle I also realized that I needed to make a correction to my original review. The black cap at the top of the seatpost where the saddle sits does allow you to adjust the tilt angle, which I didn’t think was possible before. Ridges inside that piece allow you to set the step angle for the front and rear of the cap independently to change the tilt of the saddle. There is actually a video on the Concept 2 YouTube channel titled Concept2 BikeErg Tips: Saddle Adjustment, which explains this. I have also been using ErgData for the last couple of months to immediately upload ride results. I had an old iPhone 6 sitting in a drawer, which is now dedicated full time for this purpose as you can see in one of the attached pictures. The other benefit of this, which I absolutely love, is that the Concept 2 data can be linked to the Garmin Connect app for my watch and as soon as that upload from ErgData is finished it shows up on the app with a really nice graphical analysis of your ride. Owned this for over a year. Beats the c___ out of every other stationary bike out there. Less than half the cost of a Peleton, better than a WattBike and just as useful with a couple of minor upgrades. My Div1, top 10 rowing program daughter convinced us to get this. I had rowed D1 at college when Concept 2 released the Model B rowing machine – the first real, ball busting, lung burning, muscle cramping off-season workout device. The rowing machines are built like a tank, you can see people today trying to sell Model B’s on Craigslist for more than they retailed for 30 years ago! Have owned a Model C rower for 15 years with millions of meters on it replacing only the read out device. Everything Concept 2 makes is completely over-engineered and designed to take Olympic-level stress for decades. Turns out the bike erg is no exception. It’s not the same as a spin bike, and certainly not an assault bike. Whatever they did with the belt mechanism for the flywheel it seems to put greater load on your thighs and just slow burns them throughout a workout turning them to jelly. My daughter has top of the line WattBikes at her boathouse, but the BikeErg is the go-to bike. Her coaches have seen more benefit using BikeErg sessions (intervals,sprints, long pieces etc) than other bikes. And they’ve compared a bunch. The BikeErg is a belt driven, flywheel bike. Resistance is varied by changing airflow into the flywheel manually. Same principle Concept 2 has used on the Rowing and Ski Erg machines since 1990. This creates a resistance pattern that works your legs throughout the down push when cycling. From the top to the bottom of the pedal turn. That’s what creates the unique burn. It’s as though you are constantly working up a very slight incline. The other unique part of any Concept 2 device is the Performance Monitor (PM5). It was the first accurate, reliable power meter commercially produced. Back in 1990 it was a quite revolution. It took the rowing community a decade to figure out how it could be used to enhance training. I’ve seen people complain the design looks outdated, why can’t it be a touch screen, it can’t show this or that etc. Bottom line is that it’s a way more open system than any other product out there. You can download a system update to set your workouts in calories, distance or time for all the CrossFitters. It syncs reliably to heart rate monitors (polar, whoop, Garmin etc), it can hook up to multiple different apps including ErgData from Concept 2 that can display and store a wide variety of power parameters. You can upload workouts to TrainingPeaks with ease if that’s your thing. To get the most out of it as a Peloton beater there are couple of easy upgrades you need – pedal clips $15. You can replace the pedals and seat if you want. I like to wear sneakers when I ride. – Idevice holder. Motivation helps with Zwift, a monthly Peloton subscription, or movies for long rides. We experimented with a bunch of options before combining a $15 SmallRig padded clamp with an easily adjustable rock-solid iPad holder $20 – Water bottle holder Clamp $10 You could go cheaper, but it won’t be as solid. I’m 6’5” 250, my daughter is 6’1” 170, my son is a 6’8” 290 footballer player. The BikeErg is adjustable for all of us and solid enough to handle my son doing sprint workouts (he’s broken seats and pedals on cheaper bikes in his high school weight room). What it can’t do. The quibble you will hear (not mine since I know what the machine is designed for) is that it can be awkward to adjust the resistance during a workout. That’s not really how Concept 2 machines are designed to work. The vast majority of people should set the fan so they can work comfortably at 60-80 rpm for 30 min. Normally about 3-4. Increased effort happens through increasing your cadence. It’s not really designed to easily mimic a bike going uphill. You can’t go wrong buying this BikeErg. If it’s not for you it will sell on Craigslist in 5 min for close to retail price.DrAmBer

After watching and reading many reviews about the various spinning bikes and the dual action bikes, I definitely leaned towards the dual action bikes. I wanted to use a bike that worked both lower body and upper body. Once that decision was taken, the SCHWINN AIRDYNE AD7 was a no-brainer. Many users seem to use the bike for HITT, so I was wondering if it would be good for LISS as well. Not too many reviews about LISS, but the few that were out there convinced me that it would be doable. I have the bike for about a month now and use it daily for fat burning as part of the LISS. My goal is to burn about 300 cal while biking and keeping an eye on my heart rate zones. It takes me about 50 minutes of biking around 38-40 RPM. Lost already 3 lbs, so it seems to be working 🙂 People say that the bike is quiet, which is not exactly true. It doesn't make any mechanical noises but the wind generated through the blades makes some buzzing noise, enough to require a higher volume of the TV or phone while listening to podcasts etc., but that is just a minor critical note.Stefan
This is my third Schwinn Air Dyne stationary bike. The Comp Evolution model before this lasted 15 years and performed wonderfully before needing a repair. The AD7 was purchased as a replacement and upgrade. This new bike is a monster; it is a very serious aerobic/anaerobic training device. The "resistance" produced by the AD7 is much higher than my first large fan Air Dyne or my old Comp Evolution so it provides a significant strength training component to its user for the legs, upper body, core, and arms. This is unique to this stationary bike design originally introduced by Schwinn in 1978. It was the original "Assault Bike." That said, the one problem I have with the AD7 is the Heart Rate Monitor module not working, then intermittently and inaccurately, then not at all!! It is not well suited for the riggers of shipping and can subsequently arrive faulty or not working at all, as mine did. Nautilus/Schwinn Fitness is obviously aware of this vulnerability as the Assembly Manual/Owners Manual warns, "NOTICE: Be careful when you move the machine. Abrupt motions can affect the computer operation." [p 15] As a former US Navy submarine electronics technician I can assure you that I personally understand the importance of "hardened electronics" and these machines should indeed come with that in mind; anything else is simply lazy engineering. HARDEN THE ELECTRONICS; use locking connectors, module/chip straps, etc!!
At 74 I've had to switch from running to bike riding. I ordered the AD7 to "move indoors" when the temps here reached 90+ by 10 a.m. I've been doing HIIT on the bike and feel like I am getting a really good workout. I specifically chose the AD7 so I could track watts and use that measure to estimate my VO2max. I paid to have the bike set up in my home and was very satisfied with that operation. There are some things that I wish I had realized (that's on me) before I made my decision. It never occurred to me that there wouldn't be an app to sync rides with for a record. I've made my own spreadsheet–but still…. Without a backlight I have to get my flashlight and glasses to see how to set the Rate Select button. I finally got that figured out and now can just count pushes to display Watts. I still can't figure out how the little and big bars work and find the manual not helpful–again probably on me. I ordered a compatible heart rate monitor (polar T34). The bike consistently reads my heart rate 9-12 beats higher than either my Apple watch or my Garmin Forerunner. Since I can't pair the T34 to my phone, I can't be sure if the issue is the reader or the monitor.

I read all the reviews, watched all the comparison videos and finally selected the Bowflex C6 as my indoor exercise option. Price point and freedom of choice of apps were the primary points in my selection. The bike is very quiet, has been quite sturdy and I've enjoyed using it. I struggled a LOT with the JRNY app initially, running on a PIxel Slate (a ChromeOS device that runs Android apps) and that was pretty much a disaster. It crashed frequently and many options just didn't work. But then, I tried a real Android tablet and the app works great. I actually enjoy it. I tried a couple others and will do more, but the JRNY app is good if you have a device it runs on. So far I haven't had any problems with pedals coming loose as some have. I do find the water bottle placement is unfortunate as I either hit it during hard rides or feel like I will – neither of which are good. So, I generally leave my water bottle on a nearby table that I an reach. Small gripe, but also easy to fix if the company wanted to. Easy to put together, although the instructions were a little to terse – I spent a while looking for the needed bolts in one step before realizing they were already screwed into their spots in the bike (to be removed before reattaching with the needed accessory). Again, it's a small gripe, but also easy to fix. Overall I've been quite happy.
I usually don't bother with reviews but wanted to do one here since there's so little info to be found on the C7 (loads on the C6 though!). I bought this bike to use as a peleton alternative with the peleton app. The bike is a great bike. I've ridden outdoor bikes a lot (road and mountain) but never really went to the indoor bikes until this. I have been pleasantly surprised. The seat is actually very comfortable, especially with bike shorts. If you're not used to sitting on a bike seat then of course it'll feel weird, but you let butt gets used to it. This thing is super quiet and easy to use, easy to adjust resistance, easy to connect Bluetooth. It's a little difficult at first rising with the peleton app because of trying to figure out resistance levels. Even the 'conversion charts' online don't feel like they're accurate. My only real complaints about it is the water bottle holder should be set further back to avoid hitting your knees on it (there's lots of complaints about this with the c6, which is basically the same bike without the console). The screen is quite small to use as your entertainment or spin class but it's perfect for using as manual mode for the metrics during a peleton class (which I watch on my tv).KC
I ordered the Bowflex ultimately because it was a more affordable product than the Peloton bike, but could sync with the app on my phone. While there are many other alternatives, so many of them also come with their own software, and I wanted to keep sharing the app with my sister and stick with the instructors I know, so I appreciated that there's a tech stand but no required/automatic app. When riding, I can see my cadence on the Peloton app which is great because it's a little harder to read on the bike display screen. It'd be fabulous if I could track resistance on the app too. (If you're a Peloton user – or aspiring user – too but considering buying the Bowflex machine – an Apple Watch will track your heartrate while you ride and sync with the Peloton app to give you an output in the Peloton app. I jussst switched to Fitbit, which does not sync with the Peloton app. :-/) I set the bike up myself! It was straightforward, I'd say, and it didn't take long, considering. It maybe took me 45-50 minutes (including the time I spent finding tools I hid under other pieces, ha). I find that the bike is sturdy; it doesn't wiggle and wobble while I ride. It's quiet too! Except for the exasperated sighs I make while on it, it doesn't make any sound. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and look forward to many many rides on my Bowflex C6. #sweepstakes

This review will be broken down into two parts: Installation/Delivery & use of the product. Installation/Delivery: Firstly, I am so happy to currently be a member of the Total Tech Membership. As a result, I was able to get this bike for $500. That $500 included not only the bike, but also the delivery AND installation. I ordered the bike about a week ago and set up delivery/install for Friday 1.21.22. The two guys that came to complete the bike delivery and set up were AWESOME! I think we were their last delivery on Friday as they called and said they were driving back from Sheboygan then to Green Bay to pick up bike, then up to Door County. Even though I could tell they had a LONG day these two guys were EXCEPTIONAL. They came in brought the bike downstairs and happily went to work on putting it together. They got the whole thing together and rocking and rolling in about 40 minutes (totally worth me not doing it b/c I'm sure it would've taken me much longer). They gave me a tutorial on use and took everything away. Both of these guys deserve a TEN out of TEN for their efforts & hard work (even on a late Friday night). Thanks MUCH to them Use of Product: my wife did a ride yesterday on the bike and I used it this morning before work. The product is SUPER easy to use and it is VERY VERY QUIET (you can hardly hear it running). I love that they have user profiles that keep track of your workouts and overall distances that you bike (it allows 4 profiles). This bike has a great display for your workouts and it has plenty of choices for programs. It also has a fan and though I haven't used it yet it has a USB port and speakers for listening to what you'd like (I am an ear buds kind of guy). When using the bike it is VERY comfortable (I'm 5'10') and the seat moves with ease. This was the perfect last piece of exercise equipment we needed for our basement gym and it provides a good workout without major stress on the body. I would HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone who is on the fence about buying it. There USED to be (and is advertised) a free app that you could download to interact with these units as well as keep track of your workouts. However, that has gone the way of the dodo bird – extinct! The old app is still referenced in the owners/installation menu. The app has been removed from all app stores – no matter the device. What Schwinn has done is convert to a Peleton type structure where the app is now a subscription based service. Total money grab. If the app worked like Peleton, I could almost get behind it – not even close. There are only 3 or 4 free "rides" you can do with the new app but none are interactive to where the resistance varies based on the terrain. The app does make the video come to a halt if you stop pedaling – that's it. No matter what speed you pedal, the video just trundles along at the same speed. I did a quick review of the paid "rides" and they all said "video only" so even the paid app does NOT provide any interactive workout other than the view going by at a constant speed – unless you stop. No resistance changes, no speed changes, just a slow ride through the scenery. Also, the Bluetooth….would you expect that to link to your device and let you play music? NOPE!!! The only thing the Bluetooth will link to is the new app. I was told by Schwinn support that it would link to other apps but I tried 3 of what they recommended and no Bluetooth link unless on their app. Worthless. So, there is also a little fan on the console that has a vent similar to an A/C vent in a car. Great idea…..poor execution. The fan is mounted inside the plastic enclosure in such a way that when the air exits the front of the vent, it's blowing at a 45 degree angle and it shoots off to the left, doing a nice job of cooling your left forearm but not a whisp of air on your face. The seating position on this is also uncomfortable. The seat moves up and down at a steep angle – so much so that the instructions say to get out of the seat before adjusting. That is ridiculous. If they were being honest, they would say, "Our design is poor and you can't actually adjust the seat while seated". If you do decide to adjust the seat while actually seated (so you can tell where you need to set it – duh), you better have at least one foot FIRMLY on the pedal, ready to support most of your body weight. Otherwise, the seat will SLAM to the bottom and jam your back – yes, I did it! This is not like any recumbent bike Ive ever been on – the ergonomics just are NOT good. The angle is just not right. Excellent exercise bike at an excellent price. Free delivery was included and much appreciated that they moved the heavy box into the back room for me. Setup took about 90 minutes with assistance from a step-by-step YouTube video that made identifying parts and order a breeze (SEARCH: "Complete! Assemble Schwinn 270 Recumbent Exercise Bike") The bike is very comfortable and includes a console with lots of information and ability to setup custom programs. It's really not too bulky either and fits well along the wall of our room, so its pretty much out of the way. It has wheels in the front and a handle in the back to enable you to easily lift and move the bike. There is also a media shelf underneath the main display to hold your phone or tablet, and also a USB port to keep your device charged during your work out. The only negative thing you might have is that the Bluetooth capability is limited to using their app for downloading information about your session. You can't stream any music to its internal speakers at all. You will need to use the supplied 3.5mm input port and cable to attach to an MP3 player or phone that has a similar jack to play any music from the speakers. But you can just use your own phone or tablet along with wireless earbuds or headphones for better sound. The bike itself is very quiet when pedaling, which is nice. It has 25 levels of resistance which is plenty, and includes a heart rate monitor via the handles mounted on either side of the seat. A little nice addition is the cup holder/storage for your water bottle and/or remote control. Love the bike. Easy to put together, comfortable seat! Hate, absolutely hate the resistance pads! They do not wear evenly, make lots of noise and leaves marks all over the wheel. After I received my stationary bike, I’m very happy that I made the right decision on it. I work at a restaurant and get off really late, that’s why I don’t have that much time to go gym to work out. It wasn't difficult to put the bicycle together, just a little time consuming. We have been using it for about 3 weeks now and it works well. There is only one thing that I believe can be improved and that is the pulleys for the arm exercises. They are not very resistant and there is no mechanism to tighten them. If you are happy to just move your arms this isn't a problem, but if you are looking for strength or toning this is not an option. I purchased Slim Cycle as a last resort. I have badly damaged nerves in my lower back and can't stay upright for more than a few moments without crippling pain. My doctor tells me I have to keep moving or I will become totally incapacitated but I have tried almost every type of physical therapy and exercise available, with no success. However, the slim cycle equipment is everything it promises and I can actually use it successfully without pain. The reclining position and cushioned seat take the pressure off my hips and lower back, and the seat back hits in exactly the correct spot to provide support without forcing an uncomfortable position. Just got this last night and put it together in about 45mins with help of my husband. Ill list pros and cons below real quick. Not much to talk about with this thing. It is really basic. Pros: Easy to assemble Comfortable Over all pretty solid and can sustain a pretty heavy person. 330lbs Quiet operation Smooth ride resistance wise from numbers 1-4. Cons: The resistance from 4 on almost has a skip to it. It is not smooth peddling. The resistance is lacking. The computer does not beep (this is obviously not an issue for some) The computer does not set. You select 25mins and it does not count down no matter what. And the instructions offer no help in this area. The instructions for the computer state to reset it, take out the batteries. When I did so the computer never worked again. Remember, I bought it last night. And the batteries being removed broke the computer. Some may be okay without the computer but, I like to monitor my heart rate, calorie burn, and distance. Reasons I will most likely return are the computer issue and the skipping on the resistance! I was on this thing an hour last night peddling pretty decently and not a single drop of sweat. I Did not walk away feeling like I had done cardio. Keep in mind I am a big woman. Walking around my block breaks more of sweat then this bike. I really wanted to love this! Mostly comfortable though i had to add a small pillow to my lower back where there is a break between the seats. Am a senior so its perfect as im just concerned about the time spent on the bike and dont need the other things on the monitor, which is a bit hard to read. I've only had it a few days so I can't say a lot about it right now but so far, I'm really liking it. It was easy to put together and figure out. You do need one AAA battery for the digital part that tells you calories burned, etc. It's small and easy to just fit into a corner or where ever you need it to be (I keep mine off to the side, next to the bed just so I can make sure I remember it every day). I got this because I needed to move more. I am someone who is heavy and knew I needed to begin the process of working out and losing weight but had no interest in traditional ways to lose weight except for maybe a treadmill and/or a bike (stationary or regular). As someone who also has anxiety & depression, that can make getting outside difficult & with this pandemic going on now, that makes it even more difficult. So, I finally gave in and bought one of these. You can either pedal with your feet or do it as an arm "workout". It does say to use shoes while you use this. I'd just suggest an easy pair of "cheap" slip on's that you may use just for this. Which I happened to have had. A pair of shoes that were extremely uncomfortable to walk in (didn't know that when I bought them as I bought them online) but they work perfectly for this. I also have issues with my knees (weight & I hurt them some years back) and also my left calf (charlie horses, etc) so I have to be careful. I can use this in the comfort of my home without worrying about cramping and if it does happen, I dont have to worry about falling off of a bike or having to work on getting off of a treadmill if I were out or even at home if my leg began cramping. One thing that many may not like but you get used to is it tends to catch or pause a bit when you peddle. You can do it while watching t.v., on the computer (with the right type of chair) or almost anything where you are in a comfortable sitting position. All that said: I love it so far!Bridget
The shipping of this product was remarkable it was here two days after they told me it was going to ship and wasn't suppose to be here until this week. Putting it together (Pedals, Straps, Legs) was a piece of cake. I will say that the rubber grippers on the bottom of the feet come off very easily, every time I go to move it. When you tighten the tension my machine seems to make some off the wall noises like something is banging inside the unit or like something is about to break. I back off the tension and it goes away but that just defeats the purpose, Right? I wish the pedals were a little wider, not just a narrow bridge. My biggest pet peeve is the display. I set my google home for 30 minutes of music and when I'm done it says I have only done about 25 minutes. This makes me wonder about the distance and the number of steps as well. One last thing is the distance is in meters. I'm in the US and I don't know what .331 meters translates to unless I look it up on my phone or computer. If I had a do over I would have spent a little more money and got one that would hopefully not sound or record like this one does.Bearcubleader
1. If you buy this, you will need a AAA battery for the score keeper. 2. This gadget wobbles from side to side making vigorous foot pedaling almost impossible. I tried it on a hard floor, on my (thick) plastic chair mat and on carpet. It gripped the floor best on carpet. But it still wobbled. And don't try to use it when sitting on a chair with castors. It needs to be much heavier to be useful. I tried tinkering with the tension but there is no tension setting where it doesn't wobble disruptively. 3. If you put it on a table and hand pedal pushing down hard then it works okay for an upper-body workout.Gregory

I bought this for my mother (63) who moved to FL and had since become pretty idle which isn't good. While she was here she was walking up to 5 miles a day but she moved there and walking ceased, some weight was gained, stamina decreased, body aches returned/got worse, she started needing her and it just wasn't good. Idle bodies break down, probably especially older ones. So I figured that since she sat around the house, she could at least 'move' while sitting, get those legs working again, regain some stamina, burn some calories, tone some muscles and it might improve her body aches (she has arthritis in her knee, reduced cartilage and sometimes gets those gel injections), etc. Well, she loves it! She's had it 2-3 weeks and began a routine 2 days after receiving it. She uses it 4-5 days a week and her goal was to get to 10,000 reps/cycles a day within a month and eventually use it for her arms too; well, she's at about 7,500-8,000 reps a day, using it for arm exercises too, her knee pains have decreased, she can make it up the whole flight of stairs without getting winded halfway, she hasn't needed her cane since after about a week or use, she said she feels better and more so, it has stopped her from being so idle. This product is even better because it is lightweight and folds for portability, but also because of it's low price; I wasn't concerned because it was inexpensive, I look at customer reviews for products and go from there. I would recommend this product to others and am highly considering buying it for my 'other mother' who recently retired and who I don't want to become idle when she relocates, but I also think it's good for myself while I'm just sitting around watching TV, more so since I'm inside so much more due to current events and restrictions.ariespoet
I thought I was going to hate this machine. I LOVE IT. It is light-weight and easy to carry and does not take much space. This machine is great for people just starting out on an exercise regime. It is particularly good for elderly people to help keep them moving. The monitor works well so it is easy to keep track of progress. The downside is that the machine creeps forward when in use. I solved this by placing two rubber door stops behind each side of the front bar and two rubber door stops in front of the rear bar. Other than the resistance being poor and the creeping, this machine has merit for beginners, elderly and possibly those with ailments that would benefit from pedaling motions. Had the bike for about 2 months now. It’s a great bike, except the distance meter control box already broke and now it’s making this really awful grinding noise. Reading the other reviews this seems like a common problem. It’s still rideable, just have to jam some paper in the belt area to get rid of the grinding sound and now I’m keep track on distance and time on my phone. Really bummed about it.Erin
We are happy with the quality of the product. My husband and I both use the bike and the seat, handlebars, and tension on the wheel are very easy to change to accommodate our preferences. My daughter loves it, she rides it every morning. It's easy to assemble, about 20 minutes and it looks quite strong. It‘s quiet when it working. The stand is prefect design, The “stop” button good for protect legs from injury because it can stop flywheel immediately. The seat pad is little bit hard, but it doesn’t matter. March 2021 – just to be clear I am not one for leaving negative reviews. From having worked in industries with the general public I am well aware that most reviews are only written in a negative manner and can be extremely misleading however Assault Fitness have left me with little choice. Also, my issue here is not with the bike, it’s with the warranty. I bought the Assault Airbike Classic in May 2020 and have used it most days and have never had any issues until now. I have even recommended the Assault Bike to numerous friends which will no longer be the case. I went to use it last week and there was a loud noise coming from the pedal area when I slow the bike down. I checked all the nuts and bolts were tight which everything seemed to be. I emailed assault fitness customer services with a video of the problem and they replied in decent time. It was suggested the chain had become lose, they sent me videos on how to tighten it which seemed simple enough. It then became clear that the assembly tools that arrived with the assault bike did not fit the bolts needing adjusted and I would have to buy tools to do this, which I did. After following the videos I tightened the chain – no improvement with the issue at hand! So now I am a few dollars down and no further forward. Another email to assault fitness – they respond saying it now sounds like the fan is hitting the guard which I replied saying it is not. I received another email back saying they have sent a part out but I need yet another tool to fix it and because I did not buy the ‘elite assault bike’ they will not send anyone out to look at it. They also suggested it is not an unreasonable request to take my bike to a bike shop so they can lend me the tool to use at their facility which is laughable for anyone who has felt the weight of these bikes. The other option available was they would find someone local to be to give me an estimation of cost to fix. To be clear I would be the one covering the cost. So basically my warranty covers Assault Fitness sending parts, me buying tools and me stripping my bike down piece by piece until I find the problem and fix it with the help of YouTube videos. My bike has now sat for the best part of a week gathering dust unused. To conclude………. I am no further forward after nearly a week of the issue arising, I have no idea how much money I am going to have spent on tools by the time Assault Fitness customer service team actually guess correctly and pin point what the actual problem is. I have never bought anything in the past that is ‘under warranty’ that I have ever had to fix myself. If anything, this would usually make the warranty void if you tamper with a bought product yourself.Kevin A.
We really love this bike SO MUCH!! And the size is perfect for our garage gym (glad we chose this one and not the beast Echo by Rogue). I did reduce by one star because after a few minutes of sprint intervals, the left handle is wobbly and the bolt gets loose. I do keep the wrench (that was included) nearby to tighten it. I have not gotten in contact with the company about this and I will, but it's kind of a hassle that it does keep coming loose.SHANI M.
I’ve had this bike for about 3 weeks now. For anyone that’s used an assault bike you’ll know how it got its name. Excellent workout for HIIT training. Bike was easy to put together – I did it myself in about an hour but may be helpful to have two people. Love the preset interval timers and the ease of creating custom intervals. Highly recommend this bike!

This is a great bike that does exactly what you would expect. I use YouTube spin classes – much cheaper than a Peleton subscription. Not luxurious, but does the bike does the job. The reason I am writing the review is to tell people that you can easily replace the included saddle (thin, hard, sore) for a standard bike saddle from the cycling department or a bike shop. (Also available from Decathlon). You need a socket set with a pair of size 13 attachments to do the job. I had to ask a neighbour to show me to do it, and it’s slightly fiddly, but took less than 10 minutes. A total game changer for your butt!!Timothy
This is an excellent indoor exercise bike. Riding experience is very similar to a road bike. It is very smooth, stable, quiet and offers very good resistance if you need it. Perfect for winter training. Saddle is a comfy road bike saddle, so best to use a padded cycling short. You can also clip on the pedals.If you are not comfortable riding a road bike, then this is probably not for you. Overall I am very pleased.Omer
Bought this bike during lockdown. Myself, my wife and my daughter each use it for 20 minutes a day, everyday. I was worried that the novelty would wear off quickly but due to the build quality and comfortable riding position, we are each enjoying working out everyday. It’s so easy and simple that it doesn’t take time out of your day to set up. The resistance and saddle height is easily changed between users. The girls tell me the saddle isn’t that comfortable but it seems to be getting better. I have no issue with it and it is easily replaced if necessary. Overall, Really happy with my purchase.Adam
