I have been using an Epson Powerlite Home Cinema 3020 for many years. It has been a fantastic projector for me and is still going strong with no issues during the life of the projector. I have been impressed with the Epson line of projectors, as they provide some of the best performance for the money. I was excited to now get the opportunity to try out a new Epson projector with 4K, the Epson Home Cinema 3800 4K PRO-UHD 3-Chip Projector with HDR. The transition to 4K is unbelievable and well worth the upgrade. I have a dedicated media room with the projector mounted on the ceiling projecting to a 120 inch screen. Set up is relatively simple and the projector can be mounted off center and adjusted accordingly with strong image quality in my tests. The projector has a number of settings to allow you to easily find the right settings for your room. The remote is more dynamic than a typical remote with many different adjustments and settings readily available and a very handy backlight. We use our projector primarily for movies and sports. The performance of the Epson 3800 exceeded my expectations. As noted in the specs, this projector has Epson’s advanced 3LCD technology. As a result, this projector delivers on providing an incredible RGB color signal without any “rainbow effect” or color brightness issues that you may experience with DLP projectors. With 3LCD, the picture is incredibly sharp. Brightness was perfect with 3,000 lumens for both color and white brightness with great color accuracy. The noise level of the projector is minimal, even in 4K mode. Speaking of 4K, Epson’s pixel shifting technology for 4K resolution processing works beautifully. The picture quality for this price range projector is amazing. The projector also includes built in speakers. So, it is easily portable and can be quickly set up and enjoyed outside as well. In summary, what sets Epson projectors apart from the competition is that they provide incredible, feature- rich, high performing projectors for a great price from a brand you can trust. Bright and Beautiful: Epson has come through with another impressive home theater projector that mixes easy set up, loads of features, and a bright, vibrant picture. I have a dedicated theater room and previously had an Epson Pro Cinema 6200 installed. I have full control of the light in my theater room, and, in the past, this has been necessary to fully enjoy the big screen experience because my projector had a great picture but was not super bright. It's worth noting that, while a darkroom can help with some details and darker scenes, the Home Cinema 3800 does not really need a dark room. This thing is bright and the colors really pop! True Cinema Projector: There are multiple settings from Cinema (darker and it seems to be a bit smoother) to Dynamic (super bright). Its easy to switch between them. Also, the image quality is really impressive. With the Pro Cinema Epson projector in my theater room before this one I was able to dial the picture in with advanced image controls. I have to say that this one looks nearly as good in terms of smoothness and dark tones and greys but I was still able to keep the overall brightness higher. Anamorphic Mode: For those of you looking to build the ultimate home theater (or those who have already), this projector also has one other feature that is valuable for people who want to install a wide screen in their theater room with an anamorphic lens. The anamorphic wide/ horizontal squeeze settings allow you to use a special lens to fit a true 2.35:1 anamorphic screen. All in One: While I'm using the projector in a dedicated theater space, it is also absolutely ideal for more temporary settings like a movie in the backyard or for a special event. Again, it's brightness allows you to use it on a large screen and even before the sun goes down. It has big built in speakers (these are legitimate speakers and not just a typical mono speaker normally included in portable projectors) and easy set up including very flexible lens shift (meaning that there is no risk of keystoning). To be clear, this is not a portable projector. Its fairly big and heavy relative to traditional portable projectors and business travel projectors. But it is definitely worth bringing along to a family road trip or camp out and its ideal for any home theater room. So I've been lucky to have owned many projectors over the years. Back in the old days of the vga projectors that you couldn't read words on all the way to laser 4k projectors. The 3200 represents a good value vs cost projector – its not the top of the line nor the cheapest thing you can get. It is right in the middle. We have a light controlled dedicated theater – your results will vary depending on room light and screen. Pro: – The image looks GREAT with both 4k and 1080p material (we have a player that up converts all content) and would be hard to notice anything better, short of being side by side to a true 4k projector – The color and HDR look great in a dark room – The adjustments are easy for moving the picture once installed – Has two HDMI 2.1 inputs for multiple sources – Has the ability to trigger – to control other devices – Boots up super fast – No rainbow effect that I could notice – Very quite while you are watching material – you can still hear it when the on mute – Blub cost – it is one of the best priced replacement blubs I've seen which is nice when you need to replace – should last 5-6 years with normal use. Cons: – The ceiling mount is not a standard size – its HUGE – I had to replace the ceiling mount I had and took some time to find one that worked. Its because the distance from edge to edge of the mount is greater than 12.5 inches – 3D – this is more a problem with 3d in general but the performance isn't great and you have to adjust the settings each time to get it to work (the auto mode does NOT work – I had to specifically turn it to 3d mode) – Remote – not that the remote is bad but its HUGE – its almost the largest remote I have – Not "true" 4k – but to be honest most projectors on the market are not true and use a pixel shift feature – this one is not different. That said the picture looks great and it would be hard to notice anything better – Does not come with 3D glasses – you need bluetooth enabled 3d glasses with active lens to make it work (we had some from before) Overall its a great first 4k projects without breaking the bank. It could be better, but at this price it is hard to find one that is much better.ozsplace

Not worth your money. It breaks, does not hold a charge and die very quickly. The cord that plugs into the device falls out, it's not secure. I bought it over a year ago and do not use it that often.. it now doesnt connect to anything and is constantly not working. Total waste of money.Jennifer

Super happy with my purchase. Its such a cool device – despite its small size it feels real nice and sturdy. Its also very easy to set up and use. Its very portable & even has a mount at the bottom so you can attach it to a tripod. The picture quality is a little pixelated if you look up close, however – when viewing the projected image from a distance its not an issue as the pixelation becomes blurred. To get the best viewing experience the room should be pretty much black. The I sound from the inbuilt speaker is a little tinny but you get used to it quickly. Its also super quiet to operate. My only criticisms are that if you want to use a Bluetooth speaker there is a half second delay in audio (can be mitigated by using an aux cable) Also the inbuilt Netflix app doesnt work (not rly that big an issue because you can plug in a chromecast).If youre looking for something with amazing image quality & sound this isnt the projector for you. But if you want something super portable and easy to use I highly recommend! Its pretty incredible for the price you pay.anonymous

This is an amazing little projector. I already owned another Mini projector but what was missing this kind of the portability due to the fact the Nebula is battery powered with its own operating system and does not reply on me attaching my laptop all the time to watch something with the kids. This little guy fixed all that. Because it has the latest Android operating system it means you can turn it on and just go. I all my most used video streaming apps all set up: Netflix, Amazon Video, TED and YouTube. Battery life is more than enough to watch a couple of movies back to back. It has been a massive hit with the kids as we have taken it into the garden, thrown up a sheet between the trees and enjoyed some outdoor movies. Speaker is not a massive one (how can it be considering the size?) but does the job just fine and with no cables connected is a happy compromise. The tripod mount has been extremely useful as I have even mounted it our campervan on the ceiling (by also flipping the picture set-up) so the kids can travel with a mini cinema as entertainment (you can see why they love it so much!). HDMI port at the back for when I do want to my laptop as a source. Plays movies from the USB input with a simple little adaptor which is included in the box, and so far this has been the main way I have played movies while traveling. With regards to the lumens (power of the light), you will need a darker room then the more powerful mains powered projectors but while I had some concerns on this, the reality was this it's a small trade off to get such a portable device like this. Yes, I would prefer a more powerful Lumen rating but then the battery would not give me the 4 hours I like. . . so would I trade this? No not at all! Absolutely love the size being so compact and the case is a good investment as well. Great sound and video. Projected it on a roll up blind from Bunnings in out camper and was perfect. A little annoying having to use phone to control Netflix but otherwise seamless experience. Took a little while to get my iphone showing as the network connection and pair it but got it right after about a bit of fiddling around. Can't wait to try it outside on an even bigger screen. Only taking off one star because unable to use the included remote for Netflix, otherwise perfect for what I needed.Lyndad

As a pre-computer generation college professor, who taught with a traditional Kodak 35mm slide projector for many years, this new educational tool is a wonder. I got this projector to replace an older one I have mounted to the ceiling in my theater room figuring new technology must deliver a better picture these days. And that turned out to be absolutely true, the picture from this projector is outstanding. Very bright, vivid, and crystal clear. The attached photo was taken during the day in a brightly lit room with overhead lights on, and one can see the excellent picture quality. But for my theater room setup with a ceiling mount it was far from ‘plug and play’. I was not able to just remove the old projector, connect the new projector to the ceiling mount, plug in the cables and fire it up. Oh no. Turns out the distance of the ceiling mount was too far back from the projector screen so the projector's throw was bleeding the picture quite a ways outside of the screen. I minimized the picture as much as possible using the slider on the projector but it was still throwing out a much larger projected image than my screen is (120 inches). So rather than relocating my existing projector mount which involves redrilling holes, moving cables, patching existing holes, etc., I decided to just buy a new ceiling mount (white, to match the projector color). If you’ve never done it before, mounting a projector on the ceiling is a whole thing. Lots of measuring making sure everything is right, finding the studs to drill into for a secure mount, not to mention running/hiding the cables, then dialing in the projected image on to your screen to make sure its all good. So after several hours getting it all dialed in, it is absolutely awesome. In the attached picture you can see that there is still some picture bleeding outside of my screen and frame, so I ended up having to add an additional boarder around the frame with black velvet to soak up the overflow. It was either that or re-mount the ceiling mount on the next joist 16 inches closer, pick your poison. Anyway, back to the projector. The fan is fairly quiet, comparable to my previous projectors, and the projector speakers are pretty good although I have no reason to use them since I'm connected to a surround sound system. Which brings me to my only complaint: when the projector is set to Android TV functions for the life of me I cannot get sound output from my Marantz stereo receiver and speakers. If I’m connected via HDMI and Xfinity TV, my stereo sound is great from the receiver/speakers. From researching it seems I can only use the projector's audio-out port to connect to my stereo which would require a 50 ft cable and tearing up drywall to run the cable, or to connect via Bluetooth to a Bluetooth speaker system which I do not want to do in my theater room since my receiver and speakers rock. For this reason I’m knocking off one star. So at the end of the day, Android functions are not useable in my setup, but for everything else it is exceptional.Randy

I have my Epson 2200 projector set up in a dedicated home theater room in my basement. The room has sheetrock walls and a fiberglass tile drop ceiling. The projector is mounted on the ceiling using a custom bracket attached through the drop ceiling to the joists above and uses a ball mount to position the projector. It's connected via WiFi for the Android TV features and a 30 foot HDMI cable to my home theater AV receiver. For HDMI I use it with 1090p (Blu-ray) or 480p (DVD) sources. I have a 100-inch diagonal wall mounted screen, which cost $150 from the big online merchant. The picture quality on the 100" screen when displaying 1090p content is stellar. Having a fixed screen makes a huge difference with any projector. Even a cheap screen is better than a bedsheet or painted wall. I find the image is bright enough on the standard "Cinema" setting. There is a brighter setting called "Bright Cinema" but for my dark room it is too bright and it also makes the fan run much faster and I find it intrusive. The Android TV features work well, but I discovered that my 2013 receiver doesn't handle HDMI ARC properly so I was unable to play sound through my theater system when using the Android TV apps. Had to go back to using a Roku 2 box for Netflix, etc. Things I was disappointed with: well, the HDMI ARC thing but that's not Epson's fault. The projector comes with a nice grille to cover the ports and stuff on the back of the projector. But… there is no opening to pass through an HDMI cable. So I had to cut one in. It looks a little rough since it is plastic covered with fabric, but since it's near the ceiling it looks OK. Most frustrating thing was setting up the proper distance to the screen. I specifically chose this projector because it has optical zoom to adjust picture size vs distance to screen. Other projectors have a digital zoom and that is just not suitable for the job in my opinion. unfortunately, for my 100" screen size, the difference between being too close and too far away is only about 18 inches. So i initially installed it attached to one joist in the ceiling but could not make the image small enough to fit on the screen. Then I moved it one joist closer, and I could not get the picture big enough to fill the screen. So I had to install blocking between the joists to get the distance correct. I also had an electrician install an electric outlet in the ceiling near the projector and snake an HDMI cable from my receiver to the projector. Note that installing an outlet above a drop ceiling violates building codes, so he installed it so it would go through the ceiling tiles and be flush with them. It turned out great and looks super. Now that it is set up I am very happy with the projector. It looks great on the 100" screen and with a great surround-sound system it's better than going to a theater. I took off one star because of the issue with the rear grille, the limited zoom range (although still far better than digital zoom), and the loud fan when the brightest image settings are selected.Jeff

The Epson Home Cinema 2200is a 1080p 3LCD Projector with Android TV. It is an excellent 1080p triple LCD projector for home or office use. The projector comes with a power cable, 2 remote controls (batteries included), the quick setup guide, and other literature. The projector has a single HDMI input, a 3.1mm audio output, and a mini-USB port for servicing. The key features of this projector are: • 1080p Full HD resolution • 2700 Lumens of color and white brightness • 3LCD technology • All digital HDMI Technology • Built-in Speaker and easy setup. Additional features include: • Built-in Picture skew sensor – to correct for keystone issues. • Up to a 35,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio • Convenient color mode adjustments • The ability to mount the projector in an inverted position. • Split mode and zoom features (more on these later) Usage impressions: This is a very good starter 1080P projector with built-in AndroidTV streaming capabilities. When married up to one of many devices that can output to HDMI you can have up to a 320” diagonal in a 16:9 format (screen size varies with the distance the projector is from the screen/wall). For my setup, while testing the throw distance was about 11.25 feet for a screen size diagonal of 93.25 inches with the digital zoom capabilities enabled to reduce the screen size to fit the available space on the wall. The projector’s built-in audio is a decent sounding 10 W mono-speaker and while it does a better job than most built-in projector speakers, the built-in Bluetooth or even the 3.5 MM audio output can be used to provide improved audio to an external speaker. The built-in Android TV device is a wonderful addition to this device. While this device is contained within the body of the projector it is accessible and removable! This is where the second remote that comes with this projector comes into play. When the android TV streaming device is removed, one uses the second remote to control it. The Android TV device runs all of the common streaming platforms available today. Overall, this projector is wonderful and has some hidden gem features and capabilities despite the premium price for the added features of the Android TV and the Bluetooth audio. I have found projectors to be excellent, and cost-effective substitutes for TVs, where I can get 2x the screen size for a much lower price point (1/3 – ½ or even more). Granted I am not getting 4K in this configuration, but so far, I have not been persuaded that those benefits are worth the added expense. When I recently told a friend that I have a new video projector, his reaction was less than stellar. What he replied with was, “did you get it at a pawn shop”? Projectors have declined in popularity over the recent years, in favor of big screen LCD TVs that have gotten thinner, lighter, and better quality pictures all at a lower price. So why would anyone buy a video projector these days? Well that’s a very good question! The easiest answer I can give you is when you go to the movie theater do you think you’re watching an LCD TV or a projector? Of course it’s the latter of the two, although LCD technology is in use with the projector. There are pluses and minuses for using a home theater projector, rather than a big screen TV. It would be outside the purpose of this review to convince you one way or the other. That’s a whole debate in and of itself. But generally people that are buying a projector have a very good reason. So I’ll focus just on the quality of the absent home cinema 880 projector. And whether I recommend it for someone looking to purchase. The Epson 880 features state of the art projection, at least for the next six months! LOL! We all know technology moves quickly, but I’m sure that if you purchased a projector you’re going to enjoy it for many years. The Epson projector delivers a beautiful 1080P picture and can do it on as big as a 320-inch blank wall or screen. Now you’re probably no longer questioning the purchase of a projector. An LCD TV screen of that size, even if it did exist would be incredibly expensive. A projector like this one doesn’t take up much space, in fact it is portable enough to bring around with you. It can project video onto just about any surface. Anyhow that gets more into the area of my projectors are such cool devices. Imagine playing your favorite video game on a giant wall, inside or outside. The same goes for your favorite movie or TV show. Epson uses a proprietary three chip Technology for best in class brightness and picture quality. The unit features a built-in speaker but that’s really only useful when you don’t have external speakers to plug-in with. If you’re purchasing a projector chances are you already have the audio portion figured out. Set up is super simple, within 15 minutes out of the box I was streaming high resolution videos. Don’t be fooled by it not being a 4K projector. At 1080P this does an amazingly good job, and you would be hard-pressed to notice any difference. Older projectors suffered from low luminance, the Epson 880 has an impressive 3300 lumens of color and white brightness. The three LCD imaging technology that Epson engineered Into this unit provides dazzling, and crisp vivid colors. The quality of the video reproduction is a qualifying factor in buying the unit like this. The stunning 1080P images and fast data processing provides outstanding clarity even for fast action video like you would need for watching sports or playing video games. The ability to project at a high res color and white brightness level means that I have no trouble using this in both day and night settings. Connectivity is simple as you can imagine, simply plug-in your HDMI devices, or just stream. Setting up is very simple, Epson made the process very easy even for those that aren’t technical. Epson designed in features that analyze picture quality and self corrects itself. Old style projectors were prone to going out of alignment and calibration. This projector takes care of it without any manual intervention. And it works really well! Video contrast is outstanding, the specifications show a 16,000 to 1 contrast ratio and over a billion colors. This means you’ll still have rich detail and colors even in dark scenes. There are four easy presets to quickly and simply optimize video adjustments. I leave mine on dynamic and find that does a quality job on all the material I throw at it. The color accuracy is very impressive, and I haven’t noticed any of the color brightness or rainbow issues that many old projectors here suffered with. I’ve been a fan of Epson products of all types going back 30 years to my first dot matrix printer. They’ve always built quality devices and back them up with a solid warranty. In this case the home cinema 880 comes with a two-year warranty from the manufacturer. Plus I like to add in an extended warranty from Best Buy‘s Geek Squad. For a little extra money you get a lot of peace of mind. I recommend it. Look at it this way, you could end up having to replace the lamp yourself in a few years. Or if you have coverage oftentimes they will provide a new lamp for free. Things may have changed but it used to be that way. Talk to your salesperson if you are considering one. That’s why I think the extended warranty makes financial sense. There are different ways of installing, or mounting a projector. I keep mine on a small stand. But you can mount them on ceilings using the built-in mount holes. I also use a 100 inch projection screen EagleCroft

A great and bright projector. It took a little bit to figure out how to Get it to fit my screen but I figured it out. All You got to do is to use the digital zoom button to zoom in or out and use the directional pad to adjust the size to fit the screen. Yes the fan is a little loud if you use the setting bright cinema mode but if you use the regular cinema mode the fan is a little bit quiet. It is as bright as a movie theater and you can hook it up to a surround system like a sound bar with a 5.1 surround system it has a 3.5 mm headphone Jack. And the lens cover doubles as a video mute switch so you can close the cover and still have the projector on then slide the cover back open and the video feed comes back on. The projector has only one HDMI output so if you want to add another item to it then you will have to purchase a HDMI SPLITTER. The only thing it needs to be added to remote control is a mute button it has a volume up or down but not a mute but not problem. It has a front and rear remote control sensor so can operate it from the rear of the projector like if you do a outdoor movie night. And the projector can be mounted using a ceiling projector mount. It also has a feature that allows you to make the projector to adjust to allow it to be used upside down. And this projector can also be used as a rear projector for a rear projector screen.It packs a punch for the priceAwesome

I did a lot of research and decided on this one. Would love to post pictures on here but I guess that’s too advanced of a feature. The projector is very nice for the price point. I haven’t painted my wall yet, it’s currently on a dark blue wall. The picture, when not watching dark scenes, still shows very good. If I point it at the white ceiling it looks great, no complaints about image quality. The projector has a focus lense, but not a zoom lense (the 1080 model does). This means that the image gets larger the further away it is placed from the screen. This is fine as it has digital zoom, but the digital zoom won’t remove the bordering light. I have the projector roughly 19 feet from the screen, the screen is about 140”, but the border light goes onto the ceiling and floor. I don’t have an issue with it but some may. The built in speaker not good, as expected, but good enough. I find it does the job at a reasonable volume for video games or sports, considering it isn’t that good, but lacks the bass for movies or anything you really want to hear people talking or sound effects. The fan on normal mode isn’t loud or distracting if you have any sort of sound on, and in eco mode is extremely quiet. The ports in the back could be limiting with only one hdmi, but if it’s wired and hung from a ceiling, do you actually need multiple inputs? I have mine hooked up to one entertainment unit (Xbox) which is easily accessible if I want to remove the cable and hook up a laptop.Ty

I purchased this projector because I did not want an actual television set in my living room. Once I got it I plugged the fire stick in the back of it, hit the power switch and boom, I was in business. The speakers on the side are pretty decent but it didn't hurt to hook my computer speaker to it. This is my first projector and just my first week with it but Needless to say I am very satisfied. I've attached 2 short videos for your view. One is from night time viewing and the 2nd is midday viewing. If anything changes I will update my review but for now I'm in love with it. I've already recommended it and my daughter is considering ordering one for her home.May Kenan

I love it. I don’t use the remote at all so I wouldn’t care about it’s use. The picture is great!! I connected it to my Xbox, the quality is amazing for it to be on my bare wall, especially in the day time. Only downfall, it’s kinda loud for 20-25 minutes when you first turn it on. And then it’s quiet. Also, it’s RF picks up my remote for my Vizio sound bar. It turns the projector off completely. Lol.Zee

this little projector is fab. when you first are setting it up it will be blurry but then you use the adjustments to fix and fine tune the photo quality. and can further adjust by moving the projector further away/closer. The picture i posted was taken during the day, no lights on/natural light from outside and the display is plenty bright to see good picture and thats with my wall being textured. super easy set up, just plug it in.. then in your firestick or roku, turn it on and you are ready to go. the speaker is plenty loud for us but for group movie nights we will probably buy speakers to plug in with a basic aux output. dont forget you will need an extension chord to run the projector power.kerri

We picked up this RCA Home Theater Projector Bundle (RPJ200, different number because it is a bundle) for a really good price. The projector works like a charm except for having to manually focus the image and fine tune the keystone for a good picture. The bundle comes with a remote control, a/c power adapter, projector screen and carrying case. The projector features a 3.97� projection LCD that produces decent images at more than 6 feet and crisp images less than 6 feet (see photos taken during the day). Additional features are built-in bluetooth to connect to speakers and headphones as well as an LED bulb that produces 33 lumens ideal for viewing in dark conditions. So, if you are looking for a starter projector then the RCA projector is for you at well under $100 dollars, I highly recommend.eva sugai.i

Wow! I am so happy with this 720p projector from ONN. Besides the projector itself, it comes with a carrying case, HDMI cable, charging adapter, audio cables, a cleaning cloth, a remote and batteries for the remote.The picture is even clearer than I had hoped for. There is a leg on the bottom of the projector that you can extend by unscrewing it to help with adjusting the screen placement. The volume on the projector is great, I am actually very impressed! You can hook it up to speakers though if you really want to. I'm really happy with this projector and am hopin it will last me for many years to come! This is a great projector for the price. Its easy to set up and adjust the image which is surprising crisp when adjusted properly. Add a decent sound bar (we use the Roku streambar) for an amazing experience ( we rattle the windows at 35%). The carrying case also surprisingly nice and stores everything that comes in the box. This is especially good for someone who travels for work like I do and doesnt wanna risk traveling with an expensive, or space consuming tv. Like everything it could be better but for the price 11/10. We would attach photos but our cameras are lower resolution than the projector puts out.Alissa

Thought the image was excellent until I started noticing artifacts on the various images on the screen. Then I realized there is dust or other trash on the inside of the lens and mirrors that I can't clean — it was made this way — poor quality control. I think some of these dark places are also pixels that are already dead — which is never good for LCD/LED — as this may get worse over time. Unit come out of box with fingerprints all over the lens — but there was really no signs of previous opening or anything — so I vote it was packaged this way — poor quality control. What gives with how badly this thing smells of chemicals — you would think you plugged in a new oven or toaster or something — it has given me a headache. I like and dislike an external power supply — in this case — as suspected — its 26 volts and special for this device. Sadly it runs very hot — almost too hot for me to touch — which is too hot for some other people. It should not be getting this hot if the device was designed properly — it is as if the power supply is too small and stressing to keep the light on. Forget about piggy backing on the USB port to power your streaming device — the projector may turn on — but it will start turning itself off before the streaming device boots up. I tried the Onn streaming devices I purchased as well as my Tivo 4K and Firesticks — all required too much power and the projector shut down. Never really had a problem piggy-backing off USB on my other projectors or even TV's before. The image was very badly slanted when I first sat it down and turned it on — like I had the projector on a hill — I had to prop it up on one side — just to finish trying to straighten the projections. I realize my table or screen across the room may not be level — from one side of the room to the other — but nothing is out of whack this badly that I should be having so much problem with image alignment. Needless to say — I am returning it — hoping I can find another one in this price range that does not come with these image issues out of the box. I expect the internal screen or mirrors or whatever to screw up over time — not come out of the box already like this. Can't seem to find anything that lasts more than 2-3 years before needing a new one.RobT

Bought on sale, do not regret it! Using in a small room to project movies on a wall and it is bright enough to not need a screen put up. Clear image. Easy to set up. Roku stick makes it easy to connect all streaming apps and not need anything else external.Liz

Personally I like the benefit of the portable nature and micro size. Yes there are trade offs, a dark room is a must, the 50" projection size must be their calculation for maximum performance for a 15 lumen projector. I have had it project almost to 100" in a dark environment and it's certainly acceptable for movies. Your mileage may vary based on what your projecting on. But using a generic muslin backdrop, I was able to achieve some very nice results. The retail price seems inflated, which may bias some of the negative reviews, but this device can be found in new or like new condition on ebay for as low as $30. 2 hour battery life on a 3-4 hour charge is frustrating, but once fully charged plug it into a mobile power bank and that 2 hours greatly increases, I ran for over 5 hours on a 20,000mAh power bank and still had a full charge on the M29 and 45% left on power bank. The focus wheel is s tad bit touchy and there are no other adjustments for keystone correction so make sure you have it on a stable device and level with Projection screen, or you may be disappointed, as the slightest movement may knock it out of focus or distort the image from a nice perfect 16:9 image to some uneven trapezoid looking picture( again due to no keystone correction). The Texas Instruments DLP projection provides accurate color representation for a projector of this size, contrast suffers abit, but again 15 lumens is only going to go so far, a screen with a 2:1 gain will improve some things, but dark scenes in a movie definitely reflect this shortcoming. Still a nice projector all in all. Native resolution is 360p, but will interpolate a 1080p movie decently, but this is not a projector for text presentations.Chris Allsup

This little tiny projector is absolutely perfect for camping. I was skeptical that a projector at this price point would have a decent picture but the picture is good, it is SUPER compact and with an apple to HDMI adapter, it could not be simpler to play movies from my iphone. We also have a huge outdoor movie set up for more elaborate backyard movie parties….speakers, 15 ft screen and all the wiring that goes with it. This is sooo much easier…I love it! Bang for your buck and convenience, this was a solid purchase for my camping arsenal. I read some reviews where users were upset that it didn't come with different cables they needed and complained about getting it to play on different devices. It works as it's intended to work and you're buying a projector…not an electronics and cable all-you-can-eat buffet. Do your research on specs and buy any necessary cables to work with your devices of choice and you'll be golden.C Adams

I set up this projector at home yesterday, and for the money, I think it’s excellent. I’ve tried many of the smaller projectors and if you don’t need the portability this unit punches well above its weight. I thought the keystone function was useful and convenient to adjust, and the HDMI ports are what I’m typically needing. I was able to easily connect my phone, computer, and my personal favorite, my PS5. The HD image is really nice to have and I could tell a difference between this and other units with lower resolution. I don’t think you could do any better for this size and quality of image for the money. Impressed.Vector17

Purchased a Miroir L300 projector with two USB ports, thinking that I could use thumb drives to project images. It does not work that way. Returned the item immediately. I resent the 15% restocking fee. For those who do not fiddle with electronics, the description of the USB ports does not indicate that the projector cannot project pictures directly from a thumb drive, and there is no way of discovering that without testing the unit.MKSFCA

I was amazed @ the realism the unit produces. I am using it in conjunction with a flight program for RC pilots without fear of crashes to enhance their abilities. Set up and use is very easy and works well with a laptop computer. Completed training with 2 students from beginner to pilot status in half the time as a conventional course. I am extremely pleased and impressed with the system. Would recommend it as any training aid to enhance the experience and reduced the time to train the student.Red Baron

I bought on a whim and I am very happy with this. I will use with the blowup screen I bought earlier in summer. I have tested it against my wall and it works great. Easily connected to Bluetooth on the speaker and to my Apple TV using hdmi cable. Can’t wait to use it when camping or for just watching movies outside.LargoLolita

Overall a great picture and sound. But why the 2 stars. Well, for this price you would have thought Xiaomi would have added a proper keystone function. You just can't manipulate the picture size to the wall you. For a portable projector, that is simply very very poor. Don't waste your money on this.lexux2012

I received this projector four days ago, and it is one of the best. The picture is ample in dark rooms, and the image quality is very crisp. Multiple inputs are available, including HDMI, MicroSD, VGA, Wifi, Bluetooth, AV Port, USB, 2 HDMI ports, and aux, which are very good. Audio is ok but has the option to hook up with a Bluetooth speaker and external speakers. It comes along with the screen, which is a great one. Everything was packed very well, arrived working, cables included. The built is solid and easy enough to set up right out of the box. The price is perfect. Mirroring is without any lag, and the internet connection is stable. My friends visited my house yesterday, and they liked it much and enjoyed watching an entire movie.Benkiruba
