Best Budget Vacuum For Hardwood Floors (2023 Update)

I was a bit worried with so many negative reviews, but I love this vacuum. It is so light and easy to carry around. It picks up everything as long as you frequently empty the filter. I also take a can of compressed air to blow the filter clean from the inside out. It is well made, and all the parts fit well. I like the floor cleaner for picking up pet hair because it has no rollers where the hair gets tangled. The blue color is beautiful, and the unit leans against the wall without falling over. The cord could be a bit longer, but I have a lot of outlets, so no problem. I am very happy with the purchase. The price was very reasonable.Nancy

Honestly haven’t had any major complaints about the vacuum. We do have kids so we use it probably every other day to 2 days. It’s a compact vacuum which is a plus. The one tiniest complaint I’d have is after going back and forth a couple times there are some items that you would think the vacuum would pick up, but doesn’t. Instead, I use the detachable wand for those odd pieces. I should clarify, the vacuum has picked up 99% of what is seen on the carpet. It’s just those random odd stragglers and it doesn’t happen every time. As for our tiles, I just use the wand to pick up anything necessary then jet swift it but that’s a different product.GL

To start off I would have to say that the Dirt Devil Endura Max Upright vacuum is a high quality performing product. There is very great suction when it comes to pet hair and even popcorn in the carpet that my child had spilled. The spinning brush is adjustable to many settings. Such as bare floor to higher profile carpet. It does a great job of pulling dirt and hair out of my medium profile carpet. It isn't to heavy so when I use the extended hose handle I can carry it from place to place. One thing in was not a fan of was the multi dusting piece. It was a little to bulky to fit into my window seal to get that dirt out. The smaller end was also not long and thin enough to fit into my dryer vent. The dusting piece also added extra unnecessary bulk. It is a nice concept but it isn't as great as the individual pieces. Other than my opinion on the duster, I really enjoy and love my Dirt Devil Endura Max Upright vacuum. If you are contemplating this purchase, I recommend you try this product. Other than marrying my ex husband, buying this vacuum was the worst decision of my life. It is bulky and cheap plastic. Extremely loud and makes my arm go numb from all of the vibration! It has a "hardwood" setting but the brush still spins in that setting, which can scratch the hardwood. I was excited about the pet brush attachment, but is doesn't really work since the attachment will NOT stay on the hose or in the attachment holder, for that matter. It does not have much suction, I feel running a lint brush over the carpet would pick up more! I won't even give this vaccum away because I wouldn't want anyone to hate me!BBB Customer

I've been using this vacuum for a few weeks and I don't have a single complaint yet. I really love how it was designed. It is very sturdy, yet light enough to easily maneuver around the house and over any type of floor surface. The vacuum head swivels effortlessly and intuitively. I especially love the headlight feature which really helps with picking up things in small crevices and under furniture. I have a large long-haired dog and this vacuum picks up the hair without any issues! The battery is very compact; the charger takes up no more space than my single-serve coffee maker as shown in the photo. Charging only takes a few hours and delivers ample runtime for me to vacuum all three floors of my house. The dust/waste bin is easy to empty and clean. Also, the extra two nozzle heads come with a holder than conveniently & cleverly snaps onto the neck of the vacuum handle, so you always have what you need to get the job done! Had this vacuum for roughly 18 to 24 months, has worked pretty flawlessly up until I dealt with the dreaded brush head issue I read others similarly having, after a search of google and Craftsman and finding zero real solutions, I DID NOT spend $200 on a "throw away and buy new" appliance, that simply isn't the United States I grew up in. Anyway, after a week of the head turning on only to shut down after 2 or 3 seconds, I started my disassembly quest by removing the head assembly and looking at the bottom, where I found a red tab with arrows pointing up. I then held said tab with one finger while prying the brush head out with a flat head screwdriver. I clean the brush head. We then see a red gear at the end with a tiny screw holding it, take your tiny phillips head scredriver and remove screw. Gear will be reluctant but wiggle it on out with small pliers or maybe flat screwdriver. THAT was where my problem lied as 18 months of tiny carpet fibers had gotten in there to cause enough friction to stop brush head. Remove the foreign matter and (optionally) apply just a drop of 3 in 1 onto the metal surface. Reverse to reassemble and you may have just saved some aggravation dealing with a silly warranty process or quite possibly some money. SBD Craftsman should be paying me for all the ambassador work I do for them as a DIY nobody, I tell ya hwut. Only problem I'm presently having is the weak "standing" mechanism when the vac isn't being used, it can stand on its own for an hour or so before it wants to lean either way and inevitably falls to the side. It is closet kept where I lean it up against the wall so it's not as big of a deal to me. But can be aggravating between breaks. Would definitely reccomend!! Just don't buy from Lowe's, shopping Amazon or Ace comes with ALOT more dignity in supporting an actual hardware store, Thank you.Kazi9

I've been using this stick vac every day for over a week and that's about 6 times more than I used my traditional corded vacuum. The convenience of not being limited by the length of a cord and wall outlet availability makes it a game changer for me. The motor is strong and cleans as well as my 110v corded vac, but with less noise. The ability to disable the brush makes cleaning tile/wood floors a completely different experience. The 3 power settings are perfectly located to cycle between with your thumb so that you don't suck up a floor mat when transitioning from wood/tile to rug/mat. The ability to detach the motor from the stick and use the brush head in a stubby fashion makes cleaning carpeted stairs unbelievably easier than my traditional stick vac. I have used the shorty to clean the couches and used the adapters to clean under the cushions. With the stick attached to the broom head I can reach under furniture much farther than my old stick vacuum, the LED lights also help find all your kids toys that were lost before sucking them up. The vacuum is very low profile and almost lays down flat so you don't have to move furniture around to clean. Very nice and time saving! The broom head pans from side to side while using the vacuum and I found this to be annoying when trying to go fast. I discovered a way to lock the head and am able to maneuver the vacuum more aggressively without the head flopping around. Craftsman should address that in future revisions of the vacuum, I could see someone making a kit as an "upgrade" and selling those… The wheels on the broom head are nice, but I've found them to be a little lacking when it comes to maneuverability. If the wheels were replaced with ball casters then you would have infinite movement in your X and Y axis and could slide the vacuum in any direction to reach around obstructions. I hope this is something that Craftsman would consider for future releases. The battery life is short lived with the included 2 Ah battery, but enough for me to complete about 1,500 sqf. With an additional battery or (4 Ah) you can accomplish more work. I found myself trying to race the battery to get the cleaning done, which opened my eyes to the swiveling head and rigid wheels. Cleaning is easy. Pull the container, push a button (over a garbage can) and empty the contents. The twisty knob agitator cleans fine particles from the filter (much better than banging it on the garbage can or your other hand). I wish there was a vacuum float gauge you could monitor to quickly determine the health of your filter. I've seen welding helmets with clear tubes filled with small plastic balls and graduations on the tube that let you see air flow. This would make replacing the filter more accurate than just throwing it away and buying a new one every 6 months. I really enjoy using this vacuum and find myself looking for reasons to use it. Just moved to new state, left old vacuum for daughter. It was a larger Dirt Devil that we needed for all the shag carpet in that home, but our new home is a lot of hardwood and low pile carpet and I didn't feel I needed another large vacuum. Read some reviews and as with any product you will read "best" and "worst" – so you just have to decide if it's a chance worth taking … for me, IT WAS! I absolutely love this little devil 😉 lightweight and so very easy to use. Does a FAR better job than the traditional dust mop I was using before it arrived. I will say that we don't have children or pets, so it has a pretty easy gig. Doesn't have real strong suction, but very sufficient for our needs. Nice long cord. A snap to put together. Seems sturdy as I've dropped it 2x already and still works perfectly fine. Because it is small it won't hold a lot of debris, but again sufficient for our needs. I like that there is no belt that needs to be replaced and there is not rotary brush that needs to be constantly cleaned … I hate that! The only con is that it doesn't stand up by itself (need to lean it against something) but that was just a matter of getting used to leaning it on something and not just letting go of it. Works equally on hardwood and our low pile carpet. VERY pleased.Carol

I live in senior living, and not that strong; I moved into here with a Dycem. All the floors are laminate except bedroom rug. To use Dycem is difficult, is too heavy, and mars laminate. This little vacuum fills the bill, does not have beater bars, is maneuverable, goes up against baseboards and flattens out underneath things. The suction is excellent, gets dust, hair and whatever, and is very lightweight. Great simple solution, it was easy to put together and get out of box.Helofu

Really great at collecting fine particle dust, etc. Picks up from carpet, incl deep pile, or hard surface. Good power/suction and easy to switch from 'floor mode' to 'dustbuster' mode. I bought this to replace a 2-in-1 stick vacuum thats handle broke. I bought the Dirt Devil Express Lite because not only was it lightweight for me to handle, had a removable hands free dust buster, it also had a roller brush I can use for area rugs and gets in the edges of the carpet along the wall. The price was about the same as the one I had with less features, so it was a great value for the price. After putting it together I realized it also has another valuable feature. The filter is rubber and can be rinsed to get rid of dust. No nasty cioth filter that never gets clean and holds odors. I have respiratory condition and this will keep my house dust free! I am so excited to have such a powerful, yet lightweight sweeper. It will meet all my needs!Psmithny2

I work full time and run an animal rescue. I needed a strong vacuum for the intake room and had NO time to put something together. To my surprise the unit literally snapped together! It also has a button to turn the broom off which I LOVE (makes me wonder about those reviews that said the broom quit, it's not advertised on box only instruction guide). This Kenmore vacuum is a piece of Junk. I would give it zero stars but that is not an option. We had a Kenmore vacuum that was awesome for 20 years before it finally died. We thought we could buy the Kenmore BC4026 as a replacement. Wrong. The vacuum has been redesigned with none of the utility of our previous vacuum. The BC4026 is bulky and heavy making it difficult to get in tight to reach places. The end of the wand has a huge locking mechanism for attachments, which makes it impossible to vacuum along baseboards. I used our old Kenmore to vacuum the car interior, but the BC4026's handle is huge which makes it cumbersome to reach tight car interior spaces. Also, the hose swivel that attaches to the vacuum is not the L-shaped fitting shown on the box, so it does not swivel and keep a low profile like it should. This make maneuvering and storage of the vacuum difficult. They have plastic fittings on the BC4026's telescoping wand that make it difficult to extend. The old design was much better. Our old Kenmore vacuum was smaller and more streamlined with the same vacuum power making it more functional and a better design than the BC4026. Bottom line is that the BC4026 was not designed for its intended purpose of being a household vacuum.Michael

Overall this is a decent canister vacuum but the motorized vacuum head is of an ackward design. In order to vacuum more than a foot under furniture, you have to get down on your knees and move the motorized head in arcs left and right; the joint at which it attaches to the control handle prevents it from moving straight ahead without tilting up so that the agitator and suction end no longer makes contact with the carpet. If you move it to the left, the head may detach due to a poorly designed release lever on the left side; designed to make it easy to remove with your foot but making vacuuming under a bed a long and difficult process to get full coverage. I found myself having to reach repeatedly under the bed to retrieve the disconnected head. I was able to modify that release lever slightly by tightening the screw that attaches it but it is still an arduous task to vacuum under a bed; which was the main reason we bought a canister vacuum! You have to sweep in arcs and make sure you get coverage. This would be difficult for someone who has trouble laying down on their knees, pitching themselves forward and moving the wand back and forth in arcs. On the plus side, the "pet" motorized head is great for vacuuming carpeted stairs; no pet required to make good use of it.Jeffrey

Worst Vacuum I have ever bought. Seriously a joke. Hard floors it just shoots debris out the back. It takes 3 times longer to do any vacuuming because you are constantly going over areas you just vacuumed trying to get debris back up that it just shot back at you. It does mediocre on carpeted areas. Super lightweight which is nice but the cord is so short I can’t even vacuum one room without having to switch plugs which is super annoying. I am very, very disappointed with this vacuum. It looks great, lightweight, easy to put together and was shipped fast. And on my tile floors it works quite well. Then tonight I attempted to vacuum my carpet and the vacuum just stuck right to the first spot it rolled on to. It would not BUDGE no matter how hard I pull, pushed, or sweet talked my cute little new vacuum it would not move. Seems that there is no adjustable setting to let you choose what height or bare floor, low, med, high carpet. I am handicapped and no way I can get it to roll and I have short low carpet. Since I had used it on the tile with no issues, I had felt comfortable tossing the box and all the packaging so I can’t even return it. Very, very disappointed by this. The vacuum was supposed to be my Amazon Prime weekend gift to myself, but Walmart impressed me with the cute look and low price, so I stashed my gift card and paid cash. I wasn’t expecting more than a basic vacuum at this price, but I didn’t even get that. It does not have an option to turn off the spinning brush. I could deal with that. There is no on off switch. There is a cheap plastic pedal to turn it on and off instead. I could deal with that. The cord is pretty short. I could deal with that. But it DOES NOT pick up much of anything! That I COULD NOT deal with. In fact, it often spins out the back what it does pick up! Oh and sometimes it pops open in the front while vacuuming and puffs out a cloud of dust and lint! It is the worst vacuum I have ever encountered!ES

I purchased this to sweep the laminate floors in my apartment. It was fine the first few months, but the quality dropped off sharply before I had owned it for a year. The roller would randomly lose power, even after I cleaned it and the roller. When I needed to buy replacement parts I was shocked at how expensive they were compared to other vacuums I have owned in the past. The lack of accessories was also disheartening. It works well as a dust-buster style handheld but is terrible as a floor sweeper. I only use it on my stairs now. I will use it until it finally dies, but do not feel confident purchasing another Dirt Devil product.Steven

My condo overlooks the Gulf in southwest Florida. I thought I'd be smart and put in no-see-'em screens on my lanai. Well the screens work great for the bugs = none. But the finer pitch of the screen also acts as a silt collector for the air flow. Then when it rains and blows, my sand colored lanai tiles and GROUT have dark silt remaining when dry. Previous method was to get the electric sweeper, attach long wand and brush head (not a brush roll) and suck up the silt. It didn't do well on the grout lines. Alternative was to use the steamer more frequently = pain. I wanted to simplify the cleaning. I looked at a lot of stick vacs but the DD22510 was the only one that had a powered brush roll, and high suction, ANNNNNDDDD let me take the unit as a hand held vac down 5 floors to my car thus avoiding dragging my huge sweeper along. Got the unit yesterday and tried it out on the silt I left accumulate for testing. Tried it today 7/15/19 and it works just outstandingly well. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the support bracket is ill designed. When I put my powered carpet nozzle on and then attached the support bracket, and then moved the nozzle against the baseboard….the sticky tape surface on the back of the bracket is NOT parallel to the wall. I measured the angle and it's about 15 degrees off. Plus the well where the sweeper handle sets on the bracket is too shallow and the sweeper pops out too easily. Engineering needs to rethink. Otherwise I would readily recommend purchasing.Bally

I loved this vacuum. I used it all the time. It was perfect for my apartment. I used it to vacuum the vinyl flooring before mopping the floor. The problem is that the swivel on the sweeper head broke and there is no replacement parts. I was able to fix it using gorilla glue but that only lasted about 3 months. Now I have a dirt devil that is basically a handheld sweeper (aka dust buster type).Tonya H.

I have had this vacuum for close to a month and I have to say I love it ! I use it on my hard wood floors, throw rugs and couch works great on everything. I also have a dog that she’d like crazy and it picks up all of her hair. I’ve tested it by using my swifter mop right after and just about no dogs hair is pulled up from the wood floor. It’s honestly the best money I’ve spent I was definitely contemplating between this vacuum and a big name brand such as the bissel, dyson or shark I decided to take a chance on this one and for the price I saved and couldn’t be more pleased. I do NOT love this vacuum. The attachments are pretty cheap and flimsy. The main cleaning head is so basic and wonky. It doesn't pick up debris part of the time and does a pretty bad job around edges. The the pre-filter gets covered in schmutz quickly and has to be cleaned in the middle of vacuuming. IT DOES NOT CLEAN RUGS OR CARPET. At all. There can be visible debris on rugs and even if you go over it 12 times it will not suck it up. I don't know if that was omitted from the item description at the time I purchased it or if it wasn't stated strongly enough. The thing is, I don't want to have to haul out two separate vacuum cleaners to clean my house. I don't want to have to store two vacuums. I don't like how the cord has to be wound freehand, instead of having space on the vacuum to wind it securely. I do like the washable filter and extendable pole. I regret buying this vacuum and unfortunately I did not try it on a rug until it was too late to return it because I would have. Customer service says there's no other attachment to use on rugs, that the motor is "too powerful" for rugs. Doesn't seem too powerful to me since it doesn't do a spectacular job on hard floors either. In any case, if you have rugs on your hard floors, expect to bust out another vacuum to clean your house.smokymountainmama

Many criteria, isn't it? When I received this cordless stick vacuum, I first used that on a carpet, and you can't believe it sucked up so much dust from the cleaned carpet! I couldn't believe it and tried to use that in a different room and after using it I realized that the one I was using earlier was the heaviest & noisy and did not capture the microparticles which this little gem did on the very first use. The stick has a powerful light to see if the area is dirty and it automatically adjust the speed on the carpet and hard floor. Also, you don't need to hang this anyway as this can be kept anywhere without any back support. Based on my experience it has powerful suction and long-lasting battery life which you can easily use for your daily cleaning with a single charge. This vacuum is incredible! Things I love about it: – It is so light, and sucks up stuff so easily and well. You can press it twice for more suction. – The coolest part is there is a light on it so you actually see everything you're vacuuming up. I thought my floor was clean and then I used this vacuum- I couldn't believe how much was there that I couldn't see without the light and how it got up all the dog hair and dust so easily. It's such an awesome idea to have the small light on it- I've never seen that before. – It can lay flat so you can put it all the way under the couch or bed if it's raised up abt 3 or 4" off ground and you can turn it really easily to get edges. I've always had to wipe under the furniture so this is so nice and easy. – it automatically switches suction when you go over carpet vs wood from sensing it. – I LOVE that it's battery operated. the battery seems to last long- I vacuumed the whole downstairs and the charge was still there. I've just been plugging it in to charge every time I put the vacuum back so I'm not sure how long it lasts but seems to last pretty long. – my kids want to vacuum now bc they love seeing all the stuff with the light that gets cleaned up!!! Ha ha! It's really made vacuuming so much better and our floors are so much cleaner! Here's a before and after pic to give you an idea. Overall this is a great product. We have a lot of slate which is a bit bumpy but the vac handles it very well. When transitioning to carpet this is where it had a problem and the roller popped out. Now I just turn it off when I go from slate to carpet to area rugs. It does not like long shag so I’ll use my regular vac for those. A great feature is the headlight and that it feels almost self propelled, the maneuverability getting under things like a bed is fabulous. The fact that it’s a comfortable weight and no cord has tended to make me use it on my carpet three times a week, in fact I’ve not used my regular vacuum since receiving this. This is our 4th Electrolux hard surface vacuum, two 12 volt and an 18 volt. We absolutely love this vacuum and were very upset when we couldn't find it anywhere on line. A couple of years ago we bought a Dyson 10 because we couldn't find an 18 volt Electrolux. It is not in any way comparable or even as convenient as the Electrolux. We love the swivel head, the easy recharging stand and removable hand vac, so much easier and simpler than the Dyson. When we tried to buy an Electrolux, we were told it was no longer sold in the USA, but then we found it through Amazon. It cost double the amount of our last 18 volt Electrolux, but we were thrilled to get this vacuum. Please let us know if you come back to the USA, we will definitely buy another one!!!JoeMar

I jumped at buying another ergorapido, the minute I saw they were making them again, and I was pleasantly surprised! It’s well balanced and easy to maneuver. Most of all, it’s suction was far more than I expected, and far superior to the previous models I’ve had. And you can do mats by turning it down to low speed, without worrying about sucking up the end of the mat. Emptying the dust bin was a lot simpler than previous models, too. Oh, and Hair! Hair that winds around the roller cleans off easily with the tap of your foot on the snipper tool. The only thing lacking are the instructions— simply illustrations. A little more detail would be helpful. I would definitely buy this again.Brian406

This is our third Ergorapido. We purchased our first one over ten years ago because I kept tripping on the cord to my corded vacuum. We were so impressed with it that we put away our other vacuums and never use them. It has strong suction, long lasting battery, lighted so you can see under furniture, easy to maneuver, takes up very title space when recharging, has a small hand held version attached to it and it is cordless. We purchased our second one for upstairs. And now we purchased the third one to replace the first one when it dies because we use this handy vacuum daily and don’t want to be without our Ergorapido.Jhgmac

This vacuum is really good it has powerful suction and easy to use. Only thing I wish the hose to be longer or an extension. I have to lift the unit to get up higher.william92511

The Eureka NEU180 is not a safe vacuum if you try to use crevice tool with flex hose use bottom connections will knock you on your head is use from top connection handle will fall to floor and break if hard floor. Awful!!!!!Lisa Short

Seriously, I couldn't wait to use this thing. I didn't wait for it to charge fully when I got it home, but it still lasted long enough for me to do my entire entryway, alcove, half bath, kitchen, master bath, and walk-in closet. My home isn't enormous, but it's not small either. I didn't time how long it took, but I wasn't rushing…. I have 2 dogs and this thing is going to be a lifesaver! I have a chronic illness, work full-time, and have 2 teenagers, so pulling out the broom and dustpan constantly just wasn't in the cards. I was getting so tired of the tumbleweeds of fur (they pile up after like 3 days) that I contemplated getting rid of my hard floors. But this saved me from that! I can't speak for longevity, because I just bought it tonight… But even if it only lasts a couple years, the $40 was worth it for me. I mean, one meal for my family costs more than that these days.Angela

I’ve used these vacs for 8 yrs, they last a good 2 years before battery life begins to diminish. New location of power button makes it easy to turn off by accident and Yes! I agree battery time could last a little longer, Mine is a solid 15 minutes of vacuum time.I use two vacs to do my whole house when I want to take my time under furniture. I gave it 5 stars because where can you find a vacuum that dusts the floor at the same time. I have used my regular vacuum on floor settings and while it does pick up loose dirt/hair it still leaves the dust and dirt on floor and unfortunately will scratch my floor as well. I have beautiful dark hardwood floors and a dog, a swifter without the vac just pushes hair and larger size debris around. This vacuum makes my life so much more easy, even with its flaws I LOVE IT!!! Tip for cleaning: dump loose dirt in trash and use toothbrush to clean filter or reg vacuum house to clean it, your filter and suction power will perform at peak level longer.Mindy

Love this lightweight broom vac! This is the second one i've owned and was difficult to find as Swiffer has discontinued them. It picks up dust, dirt, crumbs and most importantly dog hair! So much easier than sweeping and picking up with a dust pan as it is a vacuum with a bag less container. It also uses a dust cloth as well that traps and picks up hair and small particles the vac may miss. I'be ordered a second one to put up in the garage and save until the day comes that i'll need to replace the current one. Definitely recommend this item to replace a broom and dustpan!HOLLY

We have had a MooSooXL-618 cordless stick vac for over a year, purchased on Amazon, and it has been reliable and convenient. I sometimes wished for stronger suction when I had to go over & over. I decided to look for another MooSoo, a bit stronger but no heavier, and when I could not find you on Amazon, I thought MooSoo was gone. I purchased another brand on Amazon, but returned it. Then I searched and located your MooSoo website, selling directly! But I did find your website difficult to navigate, or compare products, or hunt for particular features. It seems kinda jumbled, and lacking information important to me. So I called and spoke with a very helpful, professional representative. My needs: 1. as light-weight as possible because I am about 5' tall, 100 pounds with little muscle, and a painful back. Could not find weight info on your site. 2. more suction than our current XL-618. We have 2 kittens, and they scatter litter. I vacuum at least twice a day. Nice to have:- able to stand up, and not fall over. The rep enthusiastically recommended your K17F, which he said weighs 2.8 pounds (less than our XL618A, which he said weighs in at 3.3 lbs.) But it FEELS heavier. Suction is better (but I had to push on the rug). One disappointment is that there is no regular power cord that plugs directly from the vacuum into the wall outlet. I find the plug/base gizmo annoying. I do not want to mount that gizmo on our wall, so it the unit must be stretched across a bench with the head removed for access to the plug. Plus sometimes I bring it upstairs and want to charge it there in order to be ready to use up there. Bottom line – it's a good vacuum (and I have some customer confidence in MooSoo; I even hunted you down after I had thought you had disappeared!). Worked great the first few day but feels very cheap. The brush seems like it won’t last very long it was missing bristles after the first use. Battery runs down quick on high but it works good enough on low for a quick pickup of dog hair. My low review is due to the fact it doesn’t stand up by itself and it fell over one time on carpet and now the extended attachment feels like it’s rubbing metal on metal I can’t even use it anymore because it’s like nails on a chalkboard to me. I did love it at first but a very cheaply made product which I expected but I didn’t expect the tube to break so quickly.LarryT

Shipping was delayed a week from original delivery date but that wasn’t a factor. The packaging was excellent. The battery had a short charge so I used it as soon as I got it together. Much quieter than I thought it would be. Vacuum power was really good. After charging it overnight I installed the charging port; four screws and five wall anchors were included. It doesn’t say which size drill bit to use but you can figure it out by looking at the screws. I bought this cordless to use primarily in the upstairs bonus room and stairs which have new carpet. My Riccar upright is an awesome vacuum but too heavy to drag up and down stairs. I vacuumed on the high setting the entire room in about 10 minutes and it worked beautifully. Lightweight, powerful, no bags, no cord, four accessories…what’s not to love.Karin B.

I know this vaccum's on the cheaper end of the spectrum so not too much should be expected, but it's still almost $100 and mine broke within 4 months. I don't even have carpet – I use it for dust mostly. I was right outside of the Target 3 month window, so I'm out of luck. I tried messaging customer service, but no dice. Tried messaging Dirt Devil but no luck there either. If you are going to get this vacuum, get the 2 year protection plan. Apparently it's common for this model to start shutting off shortly after you turn it on, fully charged with a clean filter and all. Too bad because it was pretty convenient for my little apartment!LC

Ever since Dirt Devil came out with the edge-to-edge feature to clean near baseboard I have been hooked on their brand. I saw this cordless one in Target for other items and I had to have it and I have not been disappointed. I was not disappointed either since it loses no power by being cordless and has the same ease of emptying the dirt cup in just a few minutes and it came with a rinseable filter (which saves you from having to buy them so often). The dirt spins in the collection cup and has a beater bar as well plus you can remove the handle in seconds to use it as a hand vac. What I really love is that the charger itself is permanently attached to the device so you don't have to go hunting for it when it is time to recharge the battery. All you have to do is pull it out of the handle and plug it in and the cord is more than long enough. Just so you know we can vacuum all our carpented area on one charge and then some. We use it in the kitchen for picking up bits of this and that on our nice white ceramic tile as well which shows everything that lands on it! The price was fantastic and was under $100. Do yourself a favor and try one of these out, you will be glad you did!Susievere

Unfortunately, I somehow threw away the dirt cup when cleaning the brush bristles! I wasn't happy that you sell some parts, but not this one, making it necessary to buy an entire new vacuum instead of just a part! There are things that I like and dislike about this particular vacuum. I prefer the ones with a rubber brush roll instead of bristles for 2 reasons. 1) the rubber one is removeable. It pops right out so you only have a brush roll in your hand to clean instead of an upside-down wiggly vacuum you're trying to balance over the trash can while cleaning out the hair. 2) It's so easy to cut the hair off the rubber brush roll as opposed to cutting and pulling hair out of bristles. I think I shed as much hair as my dog, so my long hair is yucky to have to remove from the bristles. Unfortunately, you don't make the one with the removable rubber brush roll. I was priced out by Bissell and had to buy another Dirt Devil. On the very bright side, I think the Dirt Devil far exceeds the Bissell Bolt in suction! I would like to suggest that you make your brush roll removable for cleaning. Even though I prefer the rubber pick up tool, others may prefer bristles. More helpful would be selling a dirt cup replacement for distracted users as myself! I'm sure due to the plastic construction that others may appreciate this, too! My last negative is that the hand vac option is useless because it needs an attachment to make the pickup area smaller. It's too wide to be effective. My final positive is the charger, which stores neatly inside as part of the vacuum, makes it completely cordless! I love that feature! That and the good suction power make this a good purchase. I just wish you would implement the above negatives and you would surpass Bissell! Your price point is why I bought another. I honestly was not happy about it when all I needed was a part.love dogs, hate hair!
