I liked using my new vacuum and had no problem with it being bagless, but the extension cord would keep rewinding once the motor got warm. I was insulted when sent a email from Prolux that I needed to clean the canister to get optimized performance and the machine was overheating because I wasn't keeping the canister cleaned out. Oh, but I was! I was caring for the vacuum after reading all the instructions for best use and the canister wasn't even full but I'd clean it out before putting it away…then there was no suction (even with a newly cleaned canister). We took the hose off and was finding that the arc of the handle was gathering dirt and not carrying it out. Too much hassle so I got a refund.Bette W.
Pros: went together quite easily (I did read the manual) So far it has great suction, and easy to clean. Picks up pet hair really well, there was a lot of fine dust in the dust/dirt container when I emptied it out, so that is a good thing. Three cats and 2 labs in my house, and they are all inside/outside critters. The power head works well. I had read that people have issues with it tipping over. Didn't happen to me, and moves around easily. All the parts fit right into place, no gaps, nothing hard to pull apart. I really like that it is bagless. Cons; The box was quite broken up when it arrived, guess that is the delivery peoples fault. There were two broken pieces, one being the on board tool caddy for storage of the attachments (I don't believe that could have happened in shipping), one other broken piece of plastic, that came from somewhere, still trying to figure out what it goes to. The tank itself has a big dent in it ( it being plastic guess it's a manufacturing issue). The long floor attachment came with a long flat rubber insert for something (the schematics don't show where it goes). The crevice tool is quite puny. I had just assumed (my fault) that the power head would have a height adjustment. I had been using a Kenmore Canister for 20 years. So in order to vacuum carpet runners (7 feet long) I have to put a chair on the end or have one of the dogs sit on it, so it doesn't get sucked up. I guess that is a good thing that it has such good suction, better more than less. So far so good, I have not found the noise level that loud, my Kenmore was a lot louder. I have not used the furniture/stair attachment so won't comment on it. It does generate quite a bit of static when in use I guess a little shock now and then isn't that big of a deal. I did not rate the Durability or value for the money, because I don't have a crystal ball saying how long this vacuum will last. During the pandemic you can't always get what you want. I wanted to go to a store and buy a vacuum that I could see, feel and maybe even hear before I bought it. I'm a little fussy. Moved from Sweden to US a few months ago and was annoyed with the traditional vacuum cleaner we had here, having having to maneuver a heavy and loud motor and not being able to reach underneath furniture. Was driving me crazy and it felt like it was blowing out more dust than it picked up. The Tritan vacuum is very efficient and I was actually surprised by the high quality and power of the motor considering this is not a very expensive machine. It really does the job and with the included attachments it works for any cleaning need. The only downside to it is that I would have liked the electric cord to be a bit longer for better range, but it works well anyway. Many years ago there was a Swedish brand of Vacuum cleaners called "Elektrolux" and they had a slogan "Nothing sucks like an Elektrolux". I would change that now to "Nothing sucks like a Prolux". 🙂Anthony76
I really wanted to love this vacuum, but will have to return it, in spite of the suction being awesome. The suction is as good or better than my Shark vacuums. I needed a good HEPA canister vacuum that would work well on my hard surface floors, window shades/blinds and walls/ceilings. I was disappointed to find that even though there is a HEPA filter, the bags are not HEPA bags. I haven't determined, yet,if the vacuum is sealed well enough, to avoid dispersing dust back into the room. Additionally, the bristles on the hard floor brush are so stiff and scratchy, I am reluctant to use it on my hardwood floors. Unfortunately, none of my better attachments, from my previous vacuums, fit the Tritan. I need to be able to vacuum my walls and ceilings, but the floor brush is not suitable for that either. I would like to be able to comfortably (and safely) vacuum the tops of door frames and window shades and blinds, without using the extension tube. But , the stiff hose does not stretch and is too short to directly attach the dust brush and reach overhead, to the top of my door frames. Back to the drawing board for me, as the Tritan Canister is just not suitable for my needs.C.B.

When my trusty old Kenmore canister vacuum died I was bummed. It had worked well for years, and canister vacuums are hard to find. After putting my almost 25 year old Kenmore canister down, I was reluctant to buy another one knowing how cheaply things are made these days. It's lighter and smaller. It has a lot of sucking power. I don't like how the attachments hook on to the wand and the floor brush gets to go into the canister. The carpet attachment is much the same and works great on carpet, but not as good on the floor. This is the only vacuum that picks up my dog’s hair on the first pass. We have a Dalmatian with all the short white hairs. Vac is quiet. Half as loud as my prior upright Oreck. Vac is also appropriately sized and rolls well enough; wheels could be a little smoother. I appreciate that I can store it flat or tipped standing up in my closet. Customer service was excellent and responded quickly- videos are helpful and when I still had questions they helped immediately via email. Nice that this vacuum seems sturdy and has some metal parts. Agree w others that it is hard to detach the power carpet head in order to put the bare floor attachment on. It is a very snug detach. Sometimes I just turn the power head off and vacuum all surfaces that way. The different suction levels are appreciated for all the little kitchen rugs and works well for different pile heights of my larger 8’x10’ rugs. I vacuum very frequently due to the dog hair and this has solved my area rug and bare floor needs. Appreciate the extra hidden tools that were included under the ‘hatch. I ordered extra bags separately; I couldn’t tell in advertising info if vac came with any/or how many. Vac arrived in lge box, well packed and protected, with instruction sheet and video links. 😊 Vac came with one bag installed already plus an extra. And HEPA filter already installed of course. I’ve done a lot of research and shopping looking for a vacuum that could keep up with my 3300 square-foot house and my never ending shedding fur babies. I’ve had at least four, across 3 well known brands, none of which stood up to the test. I came across this particular vacuum ( Prolux TerraVac ) and said OK I’ll try this. WOW, not only was I able to vacuum in half the time, it also picked up all of the pet hair under the coffee table and dining room table. I am so pleased and amazed with the features that this vacuum comes with. The versatility of this vacuum is amazing. The suction power is awesome – I love the fact that I’m able to move from carpet to hardwood without bending down and changing the settings. I simply just press the button on the sweeper with my foot and that’s it. The attachment for pet hair (OMG) Is like no other. I was able to do two flights of stairs in under five minutes. Normally it would take me 10 to 20 minutes. I will also mention how quiet it is. Compared to the other vacuums that are out there this vacuum is quiet. This is my second Prolux vacuum and a disappointment. First, to sing its praises, it has great suction and attacks any and all dust bunnies and dog hair, which is what you want in a quality vacuum. BUT, the attachments are extremely difficult to trade out. It's a struggle changing them. Even my husband, who has a lot more arm muscle, has difficultly. The hose, admittedly on the shorter side, is very "stiff" making maneuvering the vacuum a struggle. Vacuuming has never been a favorite pastime so whatever can make it easier is welcome. I now find myself doing a double groan when it's time to use it. I've actually thought of exploring a hose replacement but maybe it comes down to finding another vacuum (only purchased this past fall!)L.U.

Okay I have literally been vacuuming the last 4 hours with 3 dogs shedding and the Kirby not doing its job correctly the house was bad! I literally vacuumed everything I could. 1st the Couch 5stars the attachments and easy amazing! 2nd the stairs again 5stars the way you can use the vacuum head while Removing the center polls making it short was a game changer! I then vacuumed my bed before adding the poll back! Then I went to the floors. I love how it goes from carpet to hard floors with the touch of a button and the way the long poll has the under furniture button that folds the poll the opposite direction, again game changer! I loved not having to get on my hands and knees to vacuum the dog hair trapped under the different furniture pieces! The soft bristles on the vacuum head didn't clog one time from the dog hair so it's came to self clean the rolling bristles is legit! Now here is the parts I didn't like, on carpet it has where you can change to suction power, that I like however everytime you stop it to pick something up on move something and start it back you have to reset everything. The attachments attach to the long post in one spot and it gets in the way in my opinion i would like them better in a lower position away from the handle but that prevents the under furniture function. I had to empty the tank 3 times so I would like a larger dirt tank. Overall I would say if your house is like mine and more hardwoods and tile flooring than carpet I say. 5 stars overall and do it! If your home is mostly carpet and not much hardwoods or tiles I would say the Shark upright vacuums would be better for you!Ashley
My Shark canister vacuum was a Christmas gift. We have a Shark lift away upright; which I love but I wanted a canister vacuum to be able to clean everything from one room to the next. Unfortunately, thus one just doesn’t do the task for me. I cannot go very far with this vacuum as it tips over while trying to get to the attachments or if you are trying to vacuum from the floor the hose isn’t very bling or an addition metal hide attachment is needed. I like to vacuum my drapes, window shades and window seals and furniture. If I try to reach my curtains the entire canister lifts up which makes it difficult for me to get my chores done. I also do not like the attachments being attached on the outside as they get In the way and fall off. The canister unit needs to have a self storing compartment under the lid for additional attachments. The beater bar unit needs to be able to stand up by itself without falling over. I must definitely would love Shark to have a model canister that I can use from one room to the next with just a switch of attachments. Including a separate floor attachment for hard floors along with the crevice and small wand for furniture would be awesome. An additional metal wand that would extend so I could reach my ceiling fans and drapes would be amazing. Having a detachable beater bar unit along with the separate hard floor attachment would ever so helpful and will save on the beater bar unit getting dirty from kitchen and bathroom floors. If you could take these added features with the awesome cleaning power of the Shark; you would have a winning machine. I hope these suggestions will be welcomed by your designing department. I have been using sharks for the past 10 – 12 yrs now. I still have my original one I bought which was the shark rotator with the caddy turning it from upright to canister. We have always had 4-5 big dogs and a Himalayan cat. All long haired dogs from golden retrievers to Berne's mountain dogs and had a dycon that didn’t even pick all that hair up. That is what led me to try the shark and I was sold every since. Then I got the stick for when I’m in a hurry and want a quick vacuuming and decided to really invest and I love my canisters. I have both hard wood floors and carpet so need it to do both very very well. This is my 3rd and I absolutely love it. Worth every penny. It has suction like no other, the cup holds a lot of hair and dirt, I can do the stairs which has carpet on them, the hose is plenty long enough and the canister doesn’t flip over and cleans up easily. My husband and I are tall people, I absolutely love the fact that this canister vacuum has a long nozzle where I don't feel like I'm leaning over too much to vacuum the floor. It's very quiet, you can still have a conversation with it running. The turbo suction is no joke, be careful it'll eat your rug easily, learned there are different settings for the suction amount! Love that the floor head is much larger than the other leading brands. I also have allergies, so this HEPA filtration system is a a bonus to help keep our inside air clean. My only suggestion for future models is to have an option for on/off switch to be on the handle too. You always have to use the foot switch for operation, for older folks it's a long of bending down for operation. Overall so glad we invested the money to get this great vacuum!Faith D

Pros: This is a great vacuum cleaner, I needed a replacement for my previous Vax cleaner – for hoovering out the garage and our cars. The VAX was great but after seven years it was falling apart. I have previously purchased some cheaper cyclone type hoovers which turned out to be useless. So I went for a Miele this time even though it is a bagged type vacuum cleaner, decision based on the quality of the brand and that Curry’s PC World were doing a really cheap deal on this model. It’s very powerful on maximum setting and it does a great cleaning job on the cars. The three wheels on the bottom make moving the vacuum cleaner around the garage easy. The cable return spring is really powerful, far better than any other hoover I’ve had. This cleaner is an all round high quality item. Cons: It’s a fantastic quality hoover and really powerful, however I find that the hose quite often can hit the on off button and that is enough to switch the device off. The button needs to be a little bit stiffer in operation I think.Colin

This Sirena has been a lemon since I purchased it and Sirena support and the repair department has been degrading and lets say their repair services minimal.
Thirty days after buying this reconditioned machine which I was reassured was certified and in good condition, broke the base the water goes in, then another base broke, I ordered two more and I bought two more one for backup. The new base broke in the first use. Called Sirena to be told the first time they aren’t under warranty, they sent me a new one being nice they said, which I agree was. Then when the next one broke I just bought my own, and when that one broke within first use I was mad which caused me to call them. They said I was being to rough and to loosen the screws. Then the matching wouldn’t work, I sent it in with the broken hose that had the band over the suction broke. They said it was my broken base that was the issue and I had to buy another one for them to determine if anything else was wrong with it. I had already bought another base so I said send it back. Getting it back the base was clearly broken in shipping but whatever I was so pissed with this company they didn’t fix my hose they glued the broken piece on now making it unusable on the curtains and on top of that the wheel rack is broken also and wasn’t broken when shipped to them.
On top of that they can’t tell me why my bases are breaking it’s my fault No one else has complained of this issue and maybe try running it less.
And of all wonderful things they aren’t under the BBB so I can’t even make a complaint so I lose out the money I spent because I can’t keep affording 50 dollar bases guess it’s time to go to rainbow and I will ensure I plaster it everywhere not to buy reconditioned products from this company ever.Heidi Hancock

I am beyond impressed with the Sirena vacuum. Liked the idea of a Rainbow, but not the price tag. Found this product, read up on it, and purchase from their website. Could not believe how much fresher and cleaner my house seemed with just the first use. I have 2 dogs, one being a great Pyrenees. So I have lots and lots of dog hair. My 2nd use, I did a deep clean floors, baseboards, blinds, couches and drapes. After that cleaning, I could not even believe how clean my house stayed after that all week. I have also used it as a air purifier a couple times. Definitely not a quick vacuum product. It takes some time to use, switching between the power unit for carpets, bare floor attachment, and various others. Then cleaning after use. I am not one to leave reviews but I feel this one is needed. I am completely unsatisfied with this product and I find it strange that the reviews on their website are only four and five stars. It seems as though they filter their reviews and only post the good ones 🤔 unfortunately their customer service sucks even more than the product. You have 30 days to return the product though they give a “satisfaction guarantee” but what they don’t tell you is you will NOT be able to contact them within those 30 days. I called the customer service phone number multiple times and continuously got voicemail, I sent messages through online chat that went unanswered and finally got in touch with them three months after my purchase to explain why I was unhappy for the ONE guy that runs the show to tell me that they have a very strict 30 day policy and “there is nothing he can do”Now about the product itself… if you are a pet home – DO NOT BUY. if you have carpet – DO NOT BUY. The carpet attachment is very difficult to attach and does a very poor job at actually vacuuming the carpet. The machine takes longer to set up than anything I’ve ever dealt with. The chore of vacuuming has become three times longer and this product is substantially more expensive then other vacuums that are more user-friendly and do a much better job of actually cleaning the carpet and floor. No matter how much solution you put in the water your air will still smell like wet dirt. The idea of a water vacuum is great but if you live on a septic system you can’t even dump it down the toilet. Cleaning the machine after use is a whole other issue, it is very difficult to clean and get all the dirt out also you have to leave it unattached so it can air out otherwise it smells terrible. It’s extremely bulky and take a lot of room to store. There are absolutely no instructions with this unit so your guess is how it supposed to be used. Unfortunately there is not one good thing I can say about this unit or it’s service from the company. The touchless vacuum is absolutely terrific at picking up whatever dirt or debris you sweep near it. You can choose to put it on automatic mode, where it will pick up anything that comes close to it, or you can put it on manual mode, where you push a button near the floor to pick up what you have swept close to it. It has great suction & picks up everything quickly & efficiently. When you have filled the inside section that holds all the debris, you just easily pull it out, dump it, & put it back. I purchased the EyeVac Pro because I don't need a full size vacuum for my studio apartment. I have hardwood floors and thought that this product would be ideal for the daily sweeps of random hair, dust, etc. The EyeVac has great suction, however, when you sweep hair, random particles like string, etc does not get deposited into the container, instead it gets stuck in the filter. After a few sessions the suction is gone. Don't mistake this for large amounts of particles, I am very tidy and live alone. So it is just the random particles that are brought into the apt on a daily basis. I am not a person that returns used items, but, in this case, I returned the item after a few months of giving it a good try. I wasn't sure about this, but returns to my local BBB store are straightforward so I decided to give it a shot. We have dogs (so clean up hair constantly). I had read that some newly constructed home have these built into the kick spaces or walls. I set it up in my laundry room, it works great ! It is ideal if you use swiffers or other similar things, which never get up all of the debris on the floor. I steer the swiffer to the eye-vac and POOF ! I bought this machine a few weeks ago to replace a Miele' Cat and Dog' vacuum cleaner I had for years. I only use a larger vacuum cleaner to vacuum once per week to do the while house, then I use my hand held vacuum for interim maintenance ! I just wanted just a good workhorse with few frills. I also don't have pets so and my children are older and less messy so thought I didn't need the more expensive version again Unfortunately this cleaner is too heavy for me to easily use. When hoovering carpets the forward motion is fine but it is very difficult to pull the head back towards you except when the machine is in the lowest suction setting – which then doesn't then pick up everything from the carpets. It is easy to use on wood and tile floors – but since most of my house is carpeted that is a problem. I asked my 22 year old rugby playing son to vacume our house and he described the activity as 'having a good workout'!Siobhan

But in other respects it is a poor replacement for its predecessor. I found the connectors for joining the various bits together do not glide smoothly, so it is all quite stiff and difficult to put together and take apart. It was so stiff that I only realised that the suction tube was telescopic when I read it in the instruction manual. Luckily parts were interchangeable with my old model so I've switched back using parts from my original which has given me more flexibility. Also, on both this model and another model I tried, the suction on the main floor attachment is so strong that it is really hard to push across carpets, even on low settings. The final thing is that the attachments do not store neatly in the body of the cleaner but are stored separately so the whole thing is a lot messier to store and more complicated to carry around. Perfect vacuum cleaner, easy and light to move around. It is a bit bulky and the length of the plug could be a bit longer, but I am still very happy with it overall. My previous vacuum (different brand) was much more expensive and was difficult/tiring to manoeuvre. I have added a "Turbo Dust Interceptor" (dust is diverted into a tube for easy disposal and saves space in the bag) and it works perfectly well!Paige

Love my Dyson canister. I bought the canister on Black Friday a couple of years ago. It was only $99. I’m sure those days are over buying stuff that cheap. The extra attachments came with my canister. This vacuum suction power is the best I’ve seen. The cord is extremely long so you don’t have to keep moving to another outlet. I even use the vacuum to dust. That’s how good it sucks. Since getting this, I’m a Dyson customer for now on. I have recommend Dyson to so many people. I can not tell you how much I love this vacuum. I own a cleaning company and this vacuum is light weight. Easy to use. Long cord. It does not have a traditional Motor head as the turbine inside spins from the suction. This thing has so many different attachments that you’ll find so many places to clean with it. It’s easy to empty. I do recommend purchasing an addition filter. Especially if you plan to use this daily. It’s easy to disassemble too so it stores very compact. The suction on this puppy is crazy. First, the good: Extremely light and easy to maneuver. Great suction and good tools that are easy to change. The power brushes do a great job on our old, worn-out carpet, making it look much better, particularly on the stairs. The cord always rewinds fully, but without smacking you with the plug. The not-so-good: The canister is fairly easy to detach and reattach to the main body, but emptying it is a bit more messy than some others I have used. Since the bottom of the canister is like a bowl, you have to make sure it completely empties. A little easier said than done. Not horrible, but could be better. Also, it would be wonderful if the tall wand and carpet brush combo would stand up on their own. I do like that it can be rested on the back of the motor, though. Overall, a great value and excellent performer. I thoroughly vacuumed a section of carpet with my old unit (which is not all that old!), and then used the Dyson. First of all, this vacuum arrived on or ahead of schedule and was packaged very well. I was looking for a lighter, smaller canister vac to replace a Kenmore which I was unable to get repaired after 12 years of good service. I was skittish about purchasing something other than a Kenmore, a brand I have used for appliance purchases for many years, but now they are going out of business. I decided this was the time for a smaller vacuum as I frequently use it upstairs and down. I really wanted to see the vac prior to purchase, but due to Covid and many stores not carrying canisters, I had no choice but to buy online. I was able to get the best price, compared to other retailers, by using my BB&B coupons and purchased the vac as well as the supply of bags and filters. I've had the vac for four months and love it! The suction is awesome, it is lightweight and easy to handle and carry up and down stairs – perfect for my situation. I just changed the bag today for the first time and it was very easy. I do wish the cord were just a bit longer and the control was in the handle, instead of on the vac, but these are not major issues for me. My wife and I have had upright vacuums for the last 20 years and were having to replace them every 2-3 years. When it came time to yet again replace an upright because the plastic brush head broke, we looked into the Mieie canister line. Since we had only a couple of rugs , no carpets and mostly hardwood floors, we went with the Classic C1 Turbo Team. It is super quiet and powerful and it's nice to be able to dial down the power, in fact we have never used it on full power. It's also handy to have suction control on the straight wand part, this keeps the Turbo head from sticking on a super low Turkish type rug. Our only regret is not buying a Miele sooner and as an added perk, our dog doesn't bark at the canister like she did the uprights and is tolerating the low noise quite fine.Ron
I purchased this vacuum after reading hundreds of reviews, videos and questions to those I know that own one. I am in LOVE with it! It is one of the quietest vacuums I've ever owned! I have hardwood, area rugs and medium pile carpet in a couple rooms. It made the floors throughout the house pristinely clean! I literally vacuumed the kitchen (vinyl flooring). No more brooms and dust pans for me! My back is very thankful! I didn't get the model that is $100 less because of the carpets and I'm glad I did. I have a hardwood floor attachment and the turbo that I use on my carpets. This is cleaning HEAVEN! It makes things just SO much easier. The extending tube is great to grab any dust on the walls/ceiling and those little cobwebs that magically appear every darned spring! I have a dog who sheds and it got his hair up in the corners and carpet wonderfully! I know this isn't the pet grade one but I plan to upgrade the filter or bag or whatever because it picks up my boy's hair just fine! My sister has one and she uses hers to clean up crumbs and dry spills (salt, seasonings, whatever) from her counters and table! She loves not having the soggy mess to clean with a cloth! I was giving this product for free as part of the John Lewis Review Panel. This is a plug-in vacuum with an extendable hose and various attachments. The main head of the vacuum has 2 settings (hard floors or carpet) and then there are 4 suction settings on the vacuum itself. I have mainly used the maximum suction setting so far, and have been really impressed. I have an office-style rough rug as my door mat and this always collects so many little bits and the Miele cleaned it so much better than my cordless vacuum does. I usually have to go over and over the rug with my normal vacuum but this picked up everything in one swoop. I really liked the fact that it is bagless and the dirt compartment was extremely easy to empty. The vacuum moved really easily and did not get "jammed" like so many others do. The cord is retractable, which although only a small thing, makes it so much easier to get out and put away quickly. The vacuum is relatively compact but it does still need a sizeable area to store it. The same can be said of most vacuums though! At the end of the day, the main thing you want from a vacuum is excellent suction and this certainly has that! For the price point, it is excellent value and gets every last crumb and piece of dust up.CGill
We've had a Dyson cordless for about 7 years and its been a fantastic product but it is now showing its age. The battery isn't great and its almost falling apart. The Miele brand comes with some very high expectations and this didn't have many reviews, given how new it was but we took a punt. What an exceptional product this is and it blows our Dyson out of the water by a mile. It's light (5kg~) easy to manuever and all the accessories can be attached to the hose so that you don't have to leave them behind. Emptying the hoover is easy, you simply lift a lever and it unclips. There is a push button near the bottom so emptying it is easy. It comes with a standard filter, which is recommended that you change but you can order a HEPA one from the Miele website if you wish. There is also a small brush that you can use to clean the dust compartment and the one of the filters can be rinsed in water and left to dry. Excellent suction power with 4 different settings incuding a super quiet one, in case you want to vacuum at night. The accessories that it comes with are pretty standard on all vacuums and the main brush allows for hard floor and carpet. Overall, this is an exceptional product and I'm glad we purchased this instead of another Dyson. My only negative is that the cable isn't as long as it could be but it's fine for our house.K Mistry
We're really pleased with this hoover. We previously had a Dyson upright and we were hesitant to change as we didn't want to lose any suction power. Well, the Miele hasn't disappointed. The suction is greater than the Dyson and is fully adjustable for different flooring types. It's also much quieter, even on the high power setting. Also, the dust bin can be emptied without requiring much of a shake – the same can't be said for our Dyson. It's manoeuvrable and the suction head is slim for getting under furniture. There is a good selection of tools that conveniently fit to the top of the hose for ease of access. My only criticism is that it takes up quite a bit of space for storage and would be good if you could park it upright, however, overall the positives way outweigh that one negative. Oh my goodness. I've been a housewife for nearly 30 years and I've spent countless hours vacuuming my home. I have never loved a vacuum before….EVER. This new Miele is a magnificent machine. First of all it's beautiful. It is designed so well. Every part clicks into place with such easy precision. Every part is very easily accessible and well made. The controls on the handles are genius. Pure genius. And performance?? WOW. Its quiet. There is NO smell or odor or dust when I vacuum!! I didn't realize all of these years how much my past vacuums put out dirt,dust,smells…YUCK! I'm 52 years old and I can vividly remember the smell that would come from our very expensive Kirby vacuum from my childhood. It always smelled like our dog….ewww! I'm so happy with my Miele that I have yet to put it away! I've used it everyday since it arrived and I love to just look at it! The retractable cord works seamlessly. The wand holders on the unit are fabulous. The power head brings tears to my eyes…..all of the choices for power level and height are wonderful. My home is 95% wood floors and we have many area rugs. It’s a transition for me to not see what I’ve picked up and wait for an indicator light to tell me when to change the bag, but I look forward to it! I previously had a bagless canister with another maker. The cord on this one practically gets me through my house. I was surprised how long it is. I was excited about the light, but it’s not what I expected because the light I needed was for the hard floors and it is only on the carpet attachment. Don’t get me wrong, as I love this vacuum! This is by far the very best vacuum I have ever owned and I suspect I will not have to buy another one again. The Uniq not only has strong suction, it also has suction control which allows me to fine tune the suction based on what I am cleaning. This vacuum is extremely quiet, so much so that I can use it in the early morning and not wake up my children. The bags are large and go a long way. Lots of finger tip controls and height adjustments for the big power head. It really does make my life easier when using this vacuum. I feel spoiled by my Miele UniQ but I am worth it.Elsa

Do not buy this vacuum. I had one of these sweepers a long time ago – and I purchased this with high hopes and big expectations. I could not be any more disappointed. This Kenmore vacuum is a piece of Junk. I would give it zero stars but that is not an option. We had a Kenmore vacuum that was awesome for 20 years before it finally died. We thought we could buy the Kenmore BC4026 as a replacement. Wrong. The vacuum has been redesigned with none of the utility of our previous vacuum. The BC4026 is bulky and heavy making it difficult to get in tight to reach places. The end of the wand has a huge locking mechanism for attachments, which makes it impossible to vacuum along baseboards. I used our old Kenmore to vacuum the car interior, but the BC4026's handle is huge which makes it cumbersome to reach tight car interior spaces. Also, the hose swivel that attaches to the vacuum is not the L-shaped fitting shown on the box, so it does not swivel and keep a low profile like it should. This make maneuvering and storage of the vacuum difficult. They have plastic fittings on the BC4026's telescoping wand that make it difficult to extend. The old design was much better. Our old Kenmore vacuum was smaller and more streamlined with the same vacuum power making it more functional and a better design than the BC4026. Bottom line is that the BC4026 was not designed for its intended purpose of being a household vacuum.Michael
Overall this is a decent canister vacuum but the motorized vacuum head is of an ackward design. In order to vacuum more than a foot under furniture, you have to get down on your knees and move the motorized head in arcs left and right; the joint at which it attaches to the control handle prevents it from moving straight ahead without tilting up so that the agitator and suction end no longer makes contact with the carpet. If you move it to the left, the head may detach due to a poorly designed release lever on the left side; designed to make it easy to remove with your foot but making vacuuming under a bed a long and difficult process to get full coverage. I found myself having to reach repeatedly under the bed to retrieve the disconnected head. I was able to modify that release lever slightly by tightening the screw that attaches it but it is still an arduous task to vacuum under a bed; which was the main reason we bought a canister vacuum! You have to sweep in arcs and make sure you get coverage. This would be difficult for someone who has trouble laying down on their knees, pitching themselves forward and moving the wand back and forth in arcs. On the plus side, the "pet" motorized head is great for vacuuming carpeted stairs; no pet required to make good use of it.Jeffrey

Was sceptical but its light, good suction, long hose. Shame is 5mm too long to fit in a makpac. I attached it to my cordless planer and it took all the shavings also good for car cleaning. Good to have a blower built in too which is good to clean our the filter afterwards. Not used it for liquids yet.shaft-no-1
Brilliant piece of kit to add to my Makita collection. Has enough power and the attachments are useful. Sturdy, has a blower. Few issues, no makita dust extraction points are the same. They all require adaptors which cost £12+ each, wet vac filter requires buying separately and the filter gets dirty quickly (so it’s doing it’s job). Overall happy with the product.Dee G.

We have two dogs and a cat. I chose a Miele because of rave reviews from others. I purchased it in Oct 2019. Initially, I was pleased with the vacuum. Maybe not WOWed, but I was happy with it. HOWEVER, over time, despite changing filters and bags often, it seemed to lose it's sucking power. Also, the foot button to change the height of the vacuum became difficult to operate. It would stick or not move until I pressed it multiple times. I could deal with that. BUT, today it stopped working entirely – for no reason. And, the cord retracting mechanism stopped working. It is out of warranty so I took it to the local repair person. He said the cord part alone is close to 150.00 for the part – not including labor. And, getting the cord to work will not get the vacuum to work. So, I am to expect the possibility of another hundred (at least) for that. Ultimately, it will cost almost half of what I paid for the vacuum to repair it. And, it has not even been two years. I am incredibly disappointed. I would not recommend this brand to anyone.Carrie
I had purchase a shark vacuum about 2 years ago. I had hardly used it probably no more than 6 or 7 times. the lase i used it the motor sounded very loud and it hesitated a couple times and i started to smell something burning. Turned it off, the vacuum was getting very hot and that's where the burning smell was coming from, the motor was burning out. I had done nothing to it or misused it, it was almost in mint condition and very gently used. I contacted shark and they passed me around from customer service to customer service department, i was actually shocked and very disappointed and almost gave up. I called the store (Burbank CA) where i had purchased it from and spoke to manager. A wonderful person listened to my issue and told me to bring it back to get my money refunded. This is almost 2 years old now. I was very happy and took it back the same day. I spoke to different people at the store and they all were excellent and were expecting my back with this vacuum. I needed a vacuum so i got this little gem and boy do i love it. Its compact, lovely quality, does carpets, blinds, shelves you name it. I even purchase the micro cleaning kit and its fantastic for electronics. I cant say enough good things about this vacuum. the only small issues for some folks might be that the bags are a little on the small side, but for me its working out great. If you are in the market for a vacuum, and if you like canister vacuums with bags (i hate bag-less ones what a mess) then you will love this. The best in the industry. We have the Compact C2 Electro. It is ok but not great. Build quality is very high, suction is good and airflow great. The Wessel-Werk power nozzle is one of the better in the industry with good agitation and lots of different height adjustments. The cons however for us outweigh the pluses. The hose is miserable, too stiff at times while easily kinked at other times and is just too short. The cord is similarly too short. The attachments are a cruel joke, especially the useless little dusting brush. Cheap Kenmores have better attachments! Worse yet since the attachments are mounted on the canister end of the hose when you pivot the hose it often tips the whole vacuum over. Miele bags are very espensive and not very big. Normal wear parts are expensive and only available from designated Miele dealers. There are better canister vacuums for the price.
