Both left me underwhelmed with its results and overwhelmed with its dry times. Resolve Powder in combo with Resolve Sprays gave me great results, fast dry times, and an unnoticeable reoccurrence of stains. The hardest part was using a small push-broom to scrub the high traffic areas + spots/stains. We've become a shoeless household, too, because our carpet feels so soft underfoot after a cleaning. So I have an older dog that is having trouble with using the restroom inside the house. She is constantly peeing on the carpeted area at my front door. So I bought this product, hoping to get that area cleaned do deter her from going back to it. I'm not sure if it's the product or the fact that its so heavily soiled, but I followed all the directions and used it twice and it wasn't the best. It did clean the carpet pretty well but it did nothing for the smell. I ended up getting a similar product from another brand that worked wayyyy better.kimberly.c

I wanted to make sure I gave it a chance before I wrote my review. My cat peed on my bed and it got thru my blanket, sheet, mattress topper and it got on my mattress. I washed everything else a few times and that took care of the smell on all of that but I couldn’t get the pee away from my mattress. It smelled at night and I couldn’t fall asleep and I tried every pet stain remover we had in our house. So I decided no harm in trying this… I used it for two days. Sprayed really close to the mattress and let it soak. Then I took a damp rag and scrubbed and did that about twice. The second day I just sprayed it and then an hour later I blow dried it to help it dry faster. It worked! I can’t smell the pee anymore (thank god) and I can finally sleep! Well, it works! Usually I use natures miracle but it wasn’t actually cleaning my carpet that well and the smell was just insane after a while. A couple of minutes after scrubbing this into my carpet in some spots where my dog had marked hard, I didn’t think it was going to work and I could still smell the urine but after an hour of letting it air out, the stains were gone except one bad one (I’d expect that and will just try using this again in that spot more thoroughly as it was lightened back up by 50%) and the smell was gone and everything smelled good again. Took some elbow grease but it works well for bad pet stains and smells.Hannah

Omg!!! I’m impressed! My son and puppy marked their territory in a couple places in the house and we could never get the smell out. It was embarrassing and we haven’t had anybody over because of it. I saw this in Walmart and decided to try this since the other sprays didn’t work. I sprayed this on a spot and it has a strong lemon smell. I went back over there an hour later and I smell NOTHING. I'm in love❤ with this carpet cleaner. No wrestling with a heavy bulky rental cleaner. Easy to fill and dump dirty water, it disperses the cleaner automatically to perfection. It cleaned better than store rental. Extremely easy to use and the brushes on bottom help clean rugs or carpet. I had some very tough stains and it did superb..just a little pretreat. I never thought it would perform ad great as it did. Seen some bad reviews and wondered if they correctly used it? Can't imagine it doing a bad job. Just remember to vacumn prior to using the carpet cleaner as it says. Thank Hoover for saving the back if a sixty year old with this easy to use and to put together carpet cleaner. I clean houses for a living. Residential, rentals, Airbnb's move-outs/move-ins, I've had this carpet shampooer for maybe a year and a half, used it a handful of times not as much as I would have liked to or needed to. I ended up getting a little hand held spot cleaner that I use but it doesn't even cover the ground I needed the normal size shampooer for. In the despencer where you are supposed to put the cleaner in, it has gotten clogged and no cleaner will come out of it at all anymore and when I do use it just water comes out? But it smells so much like mold and mildew, I don't understand why it would smell so bad especially when I clean it thouroughly after every use. On top of that when I bought it brand new in the box that had never been opened, I didn't get all the attachment pieces or the filters or a lot of the parts that are supposed to come wirh it, it was just the hose one basic attachment piece for that hose and a couple other parts but it was missing most the accessories it was supposed to come with. It worked good the first two times I used it maybe but after that it was garbage. I'm very disappointed with this product, it was a waste of money 100%.Jill

I had to send it in for repair after having it for 14 months because it stopped suctioning. Assurion sent me a gift card via mail. It's been well over 7-10 business days, so I made contact again. They're resending me a gift card, and I should receive it in 1-2 business days. Hopefully, I get that card soon because I need to clean my carpets, I run a dog rescue and get a lot of accidents. Now I have to research for another one. I could rebuy this one, but honestly, after using it for a few months, it really didn't clean well. It reminded me of a cheaper carpet cleaner, and I was not satisfied with the results. Also, keep your box if you get a warranty with your carpet cleaner. In order to use my warrant, I had to send in my carpet cleaner to "get fixed". I was fortunate enough to have found my box buried deep in a closet! Otherwise, it can be difficult to find a box big enough to send the product in. According to All-State/Asurion, my carpet cleaner was "not able to be repaired" so they sent a gift card that doesn't even have a sufficient amount of funds to repurchase a new one. Warranties are great at times, but can really be a hindrance when trying to settle your clam(s).Shanell

I just tried if after waking up to a present from my cat. it was reddish food on beige carpeting. it got it right up with no issues. then tried a few more older spots and it even helped with them. it looks like you better not wrap the hose back up on the machine to try to prevent it from kinking. ez to empty. it appears a lot of water doesnt come back into the tank but i found it didnt take long to dry. i dont like how the spray of the cleaning fluid comes from the rear underneath but you get used to it.todd

I read a lot of reviews and watched a lot of videos prior to purchasing this. So disappointed. Pros: Looks cute. It did remove a chocolate stain from my upholstered chair. Cons: It left an ugly water ring, so now it looks like I spilled something on the chair. I tried to clean it again the next day, and cleaned the whole seat of the chair instead of just the spot in hopes it would even out the color. Nope. Still there. The unit also leaked water as I carried it and where it sat on the floor. Also, the dirty bucket container never filled. I really hope I can get a refund. I've already lost a chair.BBB Customer

The Hoover Dual Spin Pet Plus Carpet Cleaner is one of the best carpet cleaners that I have used. The carpet cleaner has a dual brush to help lift up dirt that is embedded in the carpet and helps remove pet stains that might have stayed in the carpet. The tank for the water and carpet shampoo is bigger and can clean a quarter of the carpet more than the other carpet shampooer that I had which takes three trips while the Hoover Dual Spin Pet Plus carpet cleaner only took one trip. I like how fast the carpet dries because it has heat force technology to help dry the carpet faster and leaves the carpet not soggy or too wet. I was very impressed with this carpet shampooer and makes it easier for me to deep clean my carpets and rooms. I find it also very easy to get to the brush compartment to remove debris like hair and pet hair out of the brush which is a plus for me. There is a compartment for putting the 8 ft hose to help clean upholstery, mattresses, sofas, or anything that you need. The carpet shampooer is easy to assemble and I had no trouble putting it together and is easy to attach and remove any part of the carpet shampooer. I think this is a great product and is very useful especially if you have a pet because it deep cleans the carpet and is fast at drying the carpet too. I use this on my carpet where there is a lot of stains from my pet and spillage from a previous beverage and the stains are lifted and no longer have any odor. I want to start out this review by saying that this is a high powered carpet cleaner and will truly get your carpets cleaned. I have 30+ year old carpet in my apartment that has been professionally cleaned and it still came out looking terrible. I spent about 4 hours and 11 pass throughs cleaning. Everything from animal fur, pillow stuffing to odd and end kids toy stickers and carpet powder was picked up in this. Putting the cleaner together was easy and simple as well as taking it apart for cleaning. The handle comes on and off, has a clean water reservoir that pops out, dirty water reservoir that comes apart for cleaning, brushes that can be cleaned and brush cover that comes off for cleaning. The clean water reservoir doesn't come apart and only has a twist off lid for filling, the dirty water reservoir has a latch down lid and a filter to collect all the thick hair/fur. The brush cover has a small passageway in between the plastic to collect hair and can be easily cleaned by lightly separating it to let the water run through. The brushes have bristles that are big in size and set apart making it easy to clean. Something to add, if you don't pop the handle on hard enough the trigger will not work as I learned that the hard way. I went back and forth between a slow forward/wet back and a slow forward/dry back. Went over the carpet in many different ways to ensure I picked up everything. Also included is a hose extension and 2 handheld pieces for cleaning upholstery. The size is bigger than a small vacuum and about the same size as a larger vacuum. Isn't clunky, hard to steer or too wide to store. Glides across the carpet smoothly and truly does an amazing job. Compared to other cleaners, this works so much better and gets up every little thing. In our high traffic areas, it was black from previous tenants but with a few pass throughs I was able to get all of that discoloration out! The solution intended for this truly helped get the nasty smell out of the carpet for the most part but because of years of animals and not being thoroughly cleaned, it still has a small smell that I am continuing to work at getting rid of. My carpet pile is so much higher now and it feels a lot thicker, softer and looks lighter in color. I feel comfortable not putting a rug down and simply letting my kids roll around on clean carpet. I also used on my couch to get pet fur/spills and was pleased with how easy it removed and cleaned as well, making my couch look new again. Lastly, this has heat technology and won't leave your carpet sopping wet. In a little less than 24 hours, the carpet was mostly dry and only damp to the touch but wouldn't get socks or clothes damp. This machine just made my life way easier! Am so happy impressed and satisfied with the results! There's few things i wish i can change however this might be the best home carpet cleaning option up to date! Am not going back to renting carpet cleaning machines anymore! And if you have pets and toddlers I believe this is a must if you want to keep your home clean and smells fresh! The assembly cannot be easier. The clean water tank is filled from above witches is very convenient. I had to go with two wet strokes but like 6 or more dry strokes to get dryer carpet it was barely damp afterwards and dried completely in less than hour. I am absolutely satisfied with how clean my carpet gets it is very comparable to the professional cleaning while it is done at home. Cleaning the dirty tank is so easy. The included 2-in-1 scrubbing tool is amazing i used it to clean our stair steps and the attached hose has pretty good length I reach all the high steps while the machine still setting on the ground. It cleaned our velvet covered dining chairs perfectly. The things I don't like I wish it is different that the machine has no carrying handle, i had to carry it upstairs using the operating handle and the cable hook which felt weird, difficult and not right. The other thing is that while the carpet get way cleaner, bighter and smells amazing it just felts rougher which I believe is because some cleaning solution residue is still there and was not completely removed by the machine, if only there was the option to spray only water afterwards as an aditional wet stroke and then a dry strokes or may be if the solution had a fabric softener within it. This was the perfect product for me to review. I have two toddlers and a 120 lb Bernese Mountain Dog who can be messy and has marking his territory in the house lately! My kids both have little Lazy-Boy type chairs that are covered in a cloth material and my dog has peed on both of them. I've always wanted to use a carpet shampooing vacuum on them but that was impossible.. until I received this! It's very easy to use and so light and easy to carry around. I like that there's a scrub brush built right into the attachmentments. I love that there's a regular and an extra small attachment to get into small areas. The surface stains, like the area of the seat that looked dirty, only took one slow pass to show a really noticeable difference! Other areas, like pen marks or the arms that looked dirty didn't come out right away but I didn't expect them too. It's normal that some areas will need to be spot treated beforehand. The chair no longer smells like dog urine at all! That's the hard part is getting the smell out, especially when it goes down deep. The chairs were only minimally wet after we were done. The vacuum has a self-cleaner on it that's really easy to use, which I love! Overall, I think this vacuum is a big success, especially when I look up the price and see it's under $200. It's not a professional grade cleaner but it also doesn't cost nearly as much as one. We will definitely get a lot of use out of this vacuum. I bought this upholstery cleaner specifically for the wide attachment. I needed this to clean large areas like my couches, rugs, and car. First time I used it it worked fairly well but I had to go over with a few passes. For the rugs I shampooed them first and this tool worked great on those! The problem when I tried to use it the second time—water leaked everywhere. And I don’t mean a little bit of water, it was enough that I got worried it would have ruined my floor and used large towels in a panic to clean it up. By that point the return window had passed for it and now I’m stuck with an expensive machine that I can’t use indoors. I still use it outside for my rugs because the water leaking isn’t an issue there. Coming to write a review and reading all the positive ones I thought maybe mine was just bad luck. I’ve never had an upholstery cleaner and was debating which one to get. I like this one, seems to clean well. However, novices need to read this: no matter which cleaner you get, spot cleaning may cause water marks on your furniture. After cleaning my pieces, they look worse than before, because I spot cleaned rather than cleaning the whole thing. This may be because I have white furniture but if you clean one area of a dirty chair, that area will be cleaner/lighter and make the rest look dingy. I’m super bummed, all my upholstery looks much worse after cleaning it. I wish I had never cleaned it to begin with. Again, this is absolutely no fault of Hoover. The machine worked well and cleaned well. Moral of the story- clean the ENTIRE piece of furniture to avoid patchy areas. Other thoughts: – I thought the tough scrubber head would ruin my upholstery but it didn’t seem to – good suction (though you need the entire vacuum head to connect with something to maintain suction, so suction doesn’t really work if you are trying to do a thin chair arm that doesn’t allow you to press the whole head down against the fabric). – the hose cleaner is a nice feature – it does seem to clean well – the cleaning solution sprayer is spotty, not like a regular spray bottle. You could always use a regular spray bottle, it would just take a long time to get it damp enough to vacuum up.Natalie

Never have issues with Cleaning Product adding Pic just so you have documentation on how disgusting this machine was and had to be cleaned before I could use it. So Disgusting would even spray solution because it was clogged. Had to blow it out with an air compressor to get it to function.gale r.

With 2 Great Dane puppies and 2 19 year old cats I have a tons of experience with removing animal odors and stains. Most less expensive products, that I have tried, mask the smell temporarily. They do not, however, neutralize the protein in the urine which is what smells. Nature's Miracle contains ingredients to neutralize that protein. This results in odor removal. It leaves a fresh scent behind. Notably it also is a great stain remover on upholstery and carpet both. Just wanted to mention here that Nature's Miracle also makes a separate product for removing skunk stink from animals. I keep a gallon of Nature's Miracle on hand at all times. And, a bottle of de-skunk. You never know when you might need it!elissa.y

I decided to give this a shot after trying a few different shampoos with varying results. This stuff is great! I cannot believe the difference in my carpet color, and it smells great! It got out all the stains from when my dog was a puppy, and some older stains left from an elderly cat we had. My carpet looks just about as clean as it did when I first moved in! Because I had 6 senior dogs (with one paralized for the mid back down) itvwas nit uncommon for one of them to have an accident in the house. I tried every brand of carpet shampoo until I finally paid the few extra dollars and tried Natures Miracle. It removed the spots and the odors immediately. It is a little more costly than the other shampoos but because it works on the first shampoo you actually end up saving money on the long run.lisa.f

Boy did I do My research on this Baby! As a user/owner I am being honest by saying There are a few issues with this Machine. No issue alone is Problematic, it CLEANS VERY WELL INDEED, however when there are 5 issues at once, it starts to ad up.The Bissell Cleaning Solutions are Exellant but Soo expensive(look for Generics). To clean a 3BD Home with Lounge/Dinning Stair case and Hallways will set you back between $100- 150 on Bissell Cleaning Solutions, I'm not kidding!!The 2 roller Brushes are Very Agressive compared to the suction, they literally rip the Carpet Fibres up in Chunks then block the Machine. The On/Off button is way down the side were you have to feel for it because You are standing to high trying to Juggle the Power cord and God knows what, it should on the top Driving handle. The water/Solution tank is far to small and the Water and Solution level marks are impossible to see. There is allot of Back and forth to the Bathroom tub to keep refilling and adding yet more Expensive Solutions while splashing water about. Don't even try and use it to clean your Matress(big Soggy mess). The cleaning attachments are OK, but it will take hours to clean Your Sofa and will hurt Your wrists (RSI) good job though. It is heavy and Combisome. The 2 roller Brushes don't disengage when you are using utility tools, so the hole Machine is blasting full bore all the time.It was fun at first, however the pipes kink, the Power cord keeps getting stuck under Machine, it keeps getting blockedITS A BIG JUGGLING ACT, and takes allot of Practice. We frequently have six grand children running around are house. They mainly stay in the living room where Nana let's them eat snacks! The carpet had noticably dingy traffic areas, spills, and various snack crumbs smashed into the carpet around the coffee table area. As a former professional carpet cleaner of five + years, I am amazed at how well this smart wash carpet cleaner cleaned our carpet! The living room is approximately 13' x 20' and used 2 gallons of hot water with mixed detergent to clean. The traffic areas and spills took multiple passes as expected. 1 gallon of water without detergent was used to rinse the carpet and extract any remaining detergent from the carpet. Rinsing is an important step because detergent is designed to attract dirt and if not rinsed properly, will attract more dirt to the carpet. I was sceptical at first and thought at best the carpet would look "better". However, the hoover smart wash outperformed my expectations and the carpet actually looks clean! I highly recommend the smart wash carpet cleaner.Feathered Edge

I've owned this machine for little over two years now and overall it's been great but there was one issue I had about six months into owning it with the dry only button and I was frustrated but Hoover was awesome about it and sent me a box and return label so they could see the problem and fix it. Not only did they send me a brand new machine, they also sent me my old one fixed and restored! This machine does an amazing job and it's much lighter to push than the older previous models. It takes a little bit getting used to it at first since it operates differently than older models. Once you get used to it, it's easy. One complaint I have is it's a pain having to remove the small cleaning solution container and setting it aside for rinsing with water only. (Note: be sure to place it upside down or it will leak cleaning solution all over the floor) Not a deal breaker but I hope with future models there can be a switch to use clean water only for rinsing. One thing I will stress that helps is to clean out the machine good after every cleaning! With this model it is easy to remove the brushes and the plastic covering them. I've always been impressed with Hoover carpet cleaning machines (I've owned older models in the past)country girl

This particular model has a "dry only" function which did not work on the first unit ordered. It has a circuit board which is either susceptible to damage or manufacturer defect. After going through the gamut of trial and error with customer service, they sent a replacement free of charge.

Here are a few things I've found over the past year of using the unit maybe 10 or 12 times.

The good first.

I like the dry only feature so that way one can use it as a dry vacuum or go over the freshly cleaned carpet to one's heart's content.

It seems pretty light and maneuverable to me and the three agitator brushes do a pretty good job agitating the carpet pile.

Yep, that's about it.

The not so good.

First and foremost there is no way to rinse the cleaning solution mixture from the carpet leaving it behind to dry and attract and hold on to dirt and grime. I used it on a white shag and the tips of the pile turned brown as it dried so I went through the whole process again only this time adding a clean water rinsing step and used my shop vac to remove the rinse water.

Why would I use the Shop-Vac to remove the water you might ask? Because these units do not have enough suction to do the job.

The cleaning solution container does not seal well when removing it from the unit so it tends to get messy and somewhere along the pathway in the unit seems to leak eventually.

The dry only function seems to be malfunctioning or it could be the leaky cleaning solution.

There are a lot of little nooks and crannies to clean after every use if you want to keep it operating as efficiently and effectively as possible.

Ultimately, in my humble opinion, they need to scrap this design and go back to the drawing board. If you remove the cleaning solution container it will make a decent but very expensive vacuum.Andrew

Having 4 kids, a dog, and a husband, I really needed something to help my area rug to not look so dingy, but I also didnt want to buy a whole carpet scrubber machine for an area rug. My rug is high pile and the fibers were looking really tired. Saw this, saw the ratings and decided to give it a try. If it didnt work I'm only out $20 right? Well it was WORTH IT. The photo I'm attaching is just after scrubbing so it's still wet, but it's visibily whiter, you can see where I haven't yet scrubbed, and the fibers have perked up so much! I'll probably need another 2 cans to finish the job (one can was enough for a little more than 1/3rd, rug is 7'x9') but definitely worth it!Brandie

I bought this kind of on a whim because I have a rug I like a lot and it was getting really dirty and I didn't want to have to rent a machine just for a few area rugs. I was quite impressed with how well the dirt came up. Granted I've had the rug for over 5 years and I've never cleaned it, just vacuumed. So, it is understandable that it wouldn't have come perfectly clean the first time. (It used to be white) But, I think with more treatments it will get better and better. The only drawback was the handle is pretty flimsy so you need to be careful with it.RJ

Let me start by saying I have beige wall to wall carpet in my living, 10yrs old buy looks brand new as we are" empty nesters" and don't have a lot of messy foot traffic on it. I do use a Hoover Power scrub elite w/ heat force drying on it about once a year and it does a WONDERFUL job but it is getting heavy for me. My small spot cleaning go to has ALWAYS been resolve spray foam; which works EXTEREMLY well, but lately it's getting rough getting down on my hands and knees to "scrub" any spots away then getting up. Two years ago we decided to "adopt" a puppy. Love the dog but my beige carpet doesn't. Muddy paw prints on rainy wet days , oh boy. Decided then to buy a small hand held carpet shampooer for pet spots, a good brand name one, ; not a hoover, but am not happy with it at all. So once again resolve foam takes care of the pet mess as does the Hoover being used more than normal but then I saw this gadget and decided to give it a try to save my knees. I have to say that this is well worth having if you spot clean!! No need to be on your hands and knees – just spray, scrub, let dry and vacuum and it does as good a job as my big shampooer. Dries in no time and doesn't leave a sticky residue like my small shampooer did. Cleans the spots as well as my big shampooer and I will say the whole carpet could be done with this as long as you have a few cans of spray foam. If you have to spot clean this is worth it's weight in gold!!!Carolyn

Ok, so I see the reviews and I can say I personally have owned 1 of the Bissell Revolutions 2x whatever cleaning power and I was satisfied (extremely satisfied as it still runs). I have a black lab and a long haired cat and I live in the country. We have absolutely no concrete or asphalt surrounding our house, and live by the coast so our dirt is probably about 30-40% sand, so tracking mud and sand is frequent in our home. I still have the Bissell (no complaints there), however I clean mine everytime after I use it and vacuume very very thoroughly before I shampoo with my shark navigator (that I am also very very happy with). The thing with all carpet cleaners is the way you treat them. You can't just vacuume once briefly then expect the shampooer to not pick up hair clumps. Do this: vacuume the area until you think u did good, then empty the vacuume and do it again. If you pick up no hair, use the shampooer. If you keep vacuuming up hair, then keep vacuuming until you basically aren't picking up hair, then you will not have issues with your shampooer. I just got the Hoover Powerdash (I got a super good deal for $20 from a garage sale brand new in box never used so I figured why not, my Bissell isn't a pet model so this will be good to try) and am writng this review in response to all the negative recent reviewers I see just because they are having so many of the same issues with clumped hair and leaks.. First off, don't leave your shampooer with dirty water, and it won't leak. Also, don't leave solution in it or simply store the resiviour separately so you won't have leaks either. These machines mainly use gravity to apply solution, possibly with the assist of a small pump like device that might be powered by the belt rotation to feed water (which is great, never have to replace an actual pump) so if you leave solution or dirty water stored in the resiviors, your bound for issues. It's all common sense, if you expect to just leisurely vacuume and have your shampooer do all the rest, then hire a pro. If your willing to take the correct steps in maintaining and shampooing your carpets to remove grime, these are for you.
One lady stated she's owned 12 of the exact 1 that I own (which is I'm assuming for a business or a friggin mansion) so not sure what she's doing wrong but I guarantee the problem is operator error. Especially if she's having the same issues with the same shampooer that I have never seen, unless of course she's overusing them when she shoulda got a commercial cleaner for whatever she needs 12 of these things. I use mine about 15-20 times per year for the past 2 or 3 years and don't have issues. This is for residential use, if taken care of they will last. One last thing, clean your shampooer directly after use, I take mine out front and rinse it on our gravel driveway, being careful to only lightly spray the nozzle and brush assembly, keeping water away from the motor. This will ensure a clean start next session, and is a hell of a lot easier than cleaning clumped up dirt and hair that's caked up and dried solid before u even get to shampooing and even better for the machine instead of just flat out not cleaning at all and burning out the motor due to naglagence and poor maintenance. Use your head people, these are designed to clean what dry vacumes can't, not vacume up hair and remove grime at once. You need to remove a majority of the hair and then these come in and remove everything else just fine. Plain and simple.
Tip: make your own solution using a mixture of baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, laundry detergent or dish soap and whatever essential oil fragrance you like (orange or grapefruit recommended). Search online for the correct amounts of ingredients for your needsTyler D

this cleans pretty well. Much better than my big Spin Scrub Hoover. This tiny little thing has the right kind of brushroll to pick up the carpet fibers and sweep off the dirt. It has good suction. Traffic areas get matted or compressed so they need the brushroll. What makes it a problem, is that the dirty water reservoir has very limited capacity so it only cleans about a 3×3 foot area before it is too full. That is, in a high traffic area. It might clean a slightly larger area if you are only lightly cleaning invisible dirt. I think the mechanism senses SUDS and freaks out and quits suctioning, and it also let a large amount of sudsy water leak out on my hardwood floor next to my carpet, without warning. If it's not very sudsy, it won't leak so bad, just a little, when full. so i had to empty this dirty water tank 3x on a 2.5x 8 foot hall carpet with low pile. . Not cool. Definitely ONLY for small areas as i said above. I was attracted to the bigger more expensive ones of this style that have 2 brush rolls and much larger capacity, and wider cleaning path. I will probably have to get one of those, as this one won't work well for a regular sized room, even just the traffic areas.lexy

Initially bought to clean carpet from when my pup was sick and tried to hide downstairs in the only part with carpet when she wasn’t feeling well. Unfortunately, that liquid sat into the carpet without knowing for a while. This carpet cleaner took care of that and then some ! I LOVE the feature that it has heat to help dry the carpet so you can basically walk onto it right after. I’ve had my basement get water in it after a storm and I was able to also use this to suck up all the water out of the carpet. It saved us from having to replace the baseboards/carpet. I understand it is compact so it’s not really meant to clean your entire house of carpet. The bin gets full quickly with the dirty fluids. The unit isn’t heavy like a commercial use which could be an issue if you have thick/deep carpet. It’s easily disassembled for cleaning of hair in the brush. I did notice when sucking up water from the thick carpets constantly to save us from flooding it was almost as if I could start to smell the belt running hot. In that case I tried my best to wait longer between vacuuming. I’d recommend this to anyone. 4.5 stars only for unit capacity is slightly not enough for my liking.kelsey.k

I have only used once, but it did a good job on my rug. It is light weight, easy to move around and compact. I would not recommend for full room cleaning as the water reservoir is small. For an area rug in front of my sofa, it took 3 reservoirs of water. Also do not recommend using as instructed "releasing water on slow movement forward and back", I did 1 swipe this way and it took 1/2 the reservoir of water!Michele

Recently received this as a gift and do not recommend it due to its poor performance and asinine design. Between having to pre-treat stains anyway and maintaining the unit itself I save no time from the spray bottle and towel where I started. The location of the spout on the dirty water reservoir is depressed more than the walls around it, meaning it can never be totally emptied of the liquid and sediment that eventually accumulates in the tank. A similar story with the bizarrely flat (versus tapered) opening on the clean water tank. Add that to the unit-wide crevice above the roller (in which will be forever trapped any solid waste the first time you attempt to use the device) and you end up with a product that, even if it did work, I cannot recommend. The manual clearly states to follow the instructions included with any cleaning solution before use, but the cleaning solution that comes with the unit merely refers to the manual for instruction. The manual also warns not to use the device as a vacuum, so before you even use this you are supposed to have cleaned the affected area, waited for it to dry and then used a traditional vacuum, before finally pre-treated again for tough stains. What is this thing even for then? In an attempt to clean gross pet mess from the inside of the unit I disassembled it per the instructions to remove the roller and was disappointed to find it was impossible to clean the crevices conveniently visible through the clear plastic on the front of the unit. I've had a carpet cleaner for 18 years and it has gotten so heavy now because I broke my neck and I can't push and pull like I use to so I thought I would purchase a new one that was lightweight and easier to use. This is is easier to push and pull but it's not as lightweight as I thought it would be. It works good, picks up well. But I don't like not having a separate tank for the cleaning solution. If you're like me and can't always afford high dollar cleaning solutions and use Pinesol or Lysol to clean your carpet it foams up. You can still do it you just need to be careful how much you use at a time. The tanks are smaller and you have to empty them more often but I knew that when I bought it. I REALLY like where you attach the hose for cleaning your couch. If you don't need it you can keep it put up out of your way. I hated my last one because the hose would always fall off and you would have to stop and wind it back up onto the handle of the cleaner. If you live in a large house this is definitely not for you but it you live in a apartment or mobile home I recommend it highly.Happygirl03

DO NOT BUY…. Horrible design first off making the return tank a nightmare. Second, suctions leaves a lot to be desired…. Third, so loud may drown out a concert…… Here is the reason why I am posting this: 4 months in possession, 3 uses only to have a major part break due to cheap plastic and a roller completely seized. Anything outside the motor such as any moving part has only a 30 day warranty. The warranty is so limited you might as well not even buy it given poor poor quality of products these days. Eventually I fought hard enough to get a replacement, but trust me you do not want the hassles. Stay away unless you absolutely will be buying an extra warranty. That is what companies do anymore, pass the warranty on crap products to insurance… The American Way, no liability and yet make that profit. Serious junk and rollers alone are $82 which is a joke….Brittany

This seems to be a well made unit with plenty of power to get the job done. I especially like the fact that it's very easy to to clean and keep that way. My only negative is the extremely limited instruction sheet. I was provided with a hand tool hose assembly…. But there is absolutely no mention of it in the "instructions". I think I've figured it out, but really? If this is any indication of Hoover after sales support I'm probably in trouble. Also no mention of any rinsing procedures. Just got to wonder what product manager signed off on this marginal support piece. Then again, they probably saved $.0000001 on paper… Woof! We will see what we will see. lolGary C.

I paid a carpet cleaning service last year and this steamer cleaned my carpet even better! I’m so glad that I invested in this cleaner. All heavy traffic areas are clean now. I have a small apartment but went over each area slowly as opposed to what professional cleaners do so if you have the patience, you can have a professionally cleaned carpet. I wish that I took a before pic to show you how dirty the carpet was but trust me, you won’t be disappointed. I also thoroughly cleaned the cleaner after finished so that in the next 6 mos. to a year, the cleaner will still be in brand new condition. I used a small amount of Hoover paws and claws soliton, oxy clean, downy fabric softener, and dawn 4x dish liquid to the gallon of hot water. I refilled once and this throughly cleaned my livingroom and bedroom carpet. This saves me a lot of money. Hope that this helps!Michelle

Bought this at the end of February of 2022(this year) after having a Hoover basic carpet shampooer for 10 years(seal started going bad around year 9 and at year 10 it just stopped doing a good job cleaning so I needed an upgrade.) Bought this because it had the hose capability if I needed it. First week of using the deep and express carpet features on the carpet were amazing. Then around week 3 I noticed a little water would pile up if left on the floor after a cycle of cleaning. Assumed it was the bristles that were still wet so after a cleaning cycle I would let it run a little longer hoping to pick up excess water. It helped a bit. Fast forward to July of 2022 I finally needed to use the hose on a couch cushion. I used the hose and noticed some leaking happening on the floor. Assumed I didn’t tighten the cap all the way, I didn’t think much of it. Fast forward to august of 2022, I needed to use it again on the couch cushion but decided I was gonna do the entire couch. I was shampooing and didn’t see that were was a pile and I mean pile leaking that got under the entire couch and then just around on the floor in the opposite direction. Did not notice till I went to walk to get to another couch cushion to wash and I slipped and fell. Thought maybe there was a block in the system-I have 3 dogs but I always vacuum before using the system. Checked it out and no blockage. Husband checked it out and it leaked for him. So he popped the top off where the hose connects and noticed both seals were bad. One was ripped and one just didn’t stop water from leaking out. So immediately upon it coming out of the factory it was bad. I had a warranty that I bought. Not exactly thrilled when I went to exchange it, I was given a gift card for the amount and I can purchase any item and have to repurchase a warranty when the item was defective straight out of the factory. I am having a really hard time wanting to give Bissell a second chance. Because I do not want to buy another bissell machine and warranty to have a defective product. Attached are photos of some of the smaller leaks that occurred. The larger one where I fell, I didn’t think to take a photo of it. It was just too large and needed to be cleaned up immediately! Also attached is a photo of a close up of the hose attached. It’s harder to see(better in a video) where it shows the water pulling upward and goes out of the seal and leaking downward. But you can faintly see the bubbling of water and the water building up on the plastic front cover.Anne

This was my first time using this carpet cleaner. My husband bought it off Amazon.. As soon as I sprinkled it all over the carpet my 7 year old daughter started complaining that she couldn't breath. We never had that happen with any other carpet powders before. Also this carpet powder is hard to sprinkle as it is just open has no lid with holes to sprinkle from like other carpet powders plus it's clumpy when you sprinkle it feels kinda wet. It didn't really take care of odors part of it didn't want to be vacuumed out of my carpet. I definitely not using this carpet powder ever again.october .k

We have been using Furry Freshness for a few years now and don't believe there is anything better on the market for removing stains and odor. Following the directions on the label, after the area is sprayed on the spot, the spot and odor are GONE! Amazing results! We had two Shih Tzus and there were accidents on the carpeting but not for longl Sadly, we recently lost our fur babies but will continue to use your products on other stains (grape juice, wine, etc.) that disappear easily as well. I have 2 dogs and have used furry freshness on dog urine, vomit, and poop stains on our rug and bed and love how it works to remove odor and leave behind no frangrance or odors. I’m so happy to have found a product that removes odors and stains so well. Just spray to saturate and let it dry. I do feel the need to keep pets away from product while it’s drying but that’s a small inconvenience compared to the results I’ve gotten.

I was out of town and our dog became very ill. As a result, she put Furry Freshness to the ultimate test with ***, poo, and ***** in multiple carpeted rooms. I was told it didn't have to be cleaned up from where it was used, but after first use, there were suds indicating a cleaning substance which I cleaned up and dried. I was told it was a safe to use around children and pets ingredient, but not what it is. I'm one of those picky, well-educated, caring humans who likes to investigate things and not take someone else's word. What exactly are all the ingredients in this product? I can't sweat it was this product, but something was stinging a small scratch on my finger. No, I'm not the type of person who sues and I never have. If I'm not happy, I just won't use the product. My mom's dog is 17 years old, blind and incontinent. Bless his little heart… We are pretty good about his routine and taking him out on a schedule but as you can imagine, accidents will and DO happen. Now I did not have to spend alot on this product. But the claims made for the product sounded EXACTLY like what I was looking for. However, honestly speaking, I will tell you exactly my personal experience. It has an odd smell, not horrible but just odd. It does take care of lingering urine odors – for about 2-3 days, then the urine odor returns. So the MAIN question on the cleaning part of this product is answered. If the urine odor returns, I'm assuming the urine us still there. My overall opinion for the amount that I paid, $4-$7, it is worth just that.Frances

All of the reviews that state this thing works are true. My teenagers were in charge of keeping the litterbox clean because we have two cats. They do an excellent job of keeping up with it in general. They did, however, become a touch sluggish over the break. The smell was so awful that I was practically retching by the time I smelled it from down the hall and told them to clean it. The damage had been done, even with the clean litter, and all I could smell was cat urine. So I came on here and read all the 5-star ratings and decided that even if it only functioned half as well as the reviews said, it would be a success. So when it arrived, I just opened the bottle and poured about a third of the liquid over our laminate floor and sprayed it on the walls surrounding the litterbox. I set it aside for an hour. However, even standing outside the room, we instantly saw a difference. I also brought the litterbox outside and sprayed it with this stuff, but I didn't let it sit, instead wiping it down with baby wipes. After an hour, I washed everything out, replaced the clean litterbox in the room, and went outside to clear my nose to see if I could smell cat urine. I couldn't smell it. My children couldn't either. I invited my MOTHER (who despises cats and is a stickler for cleanliness) over for the grand verdict, and asked her to smell not only the house, but the room as well. She was taken aback by the fact that she couldn't smell anything, and she actually stated it smelled GOOD! It does have a light herbal aroma to it that isn't bad. My mother not smelling anything and remarking on how nice everything smelled is a huge praise, believe me. I would – and will – buy this product again. It works like a charm!!!mellie
