Hasn’t caused any type of reaction from my pets. Used in a larger machine to clean large areas of carpet in my house. Smells good and got all the stains out. I also used this to clean the carpets in my car when someone cut me off and caused eggs I had bough to break on my carpet. Lastly, I used this in a spray bottle to clean some of my old shoes with a small brush to agitate and they came out looking really good. I just bought myself a Hoover carpet cleaner just because I really don’t trust carpet cleaning companies claiming to use non-toxic solutions and also bringing someone’s else’s mess into my house. I pour a bit of this in my big green carpet cleaning machine after adding the hot water, and it does an AMAZING job!! I used it for the first time (having used various other cleaners for years past) and it was pulling up dirt that was trapped from SOOO long ago! Its like when you buy a GREAT vacuum cleaner, and SO much more comes up.. well this is exactly what a 1/4-1/3cup pour of this stuff into my hot water did. I had to deal with days-old, very dark brown liquidy cat vomit on my non-shag carpet. This product did a very good job lifting the colour and odour out with some elbow grease as well. First I scraped up the dry solids, then I applied cleaner diluted with hot water from a squeeze bottle to the spots, scrubbed with a small brush and then vacuumed the liquid up with my carpet cleaner. I bought this primarily to remove pet stains (mostly vomit), but I didn't have any immediately available. So I tried it on some other stains and the results just floored me! First, I had a dark spot of a dark wood scratch cover. It's an oil based stain. I sprayed Power Shot on it and 24 hours later the stain had entirely disappeared! Next, I tried it on some small rust stains. The stains were caused by dog urine that had seeped into the carpet under the metal feet of furniture legs. Power Shot didn't clean all of the rust stain, but with repeated applications, the stains are now so slight that they're hardly noticeable. Note that Bissell doesn't claim that Power Shot will remove rust stains, but with my old carpet, I had nothing to lose. Eventually, I had dog vomit and urine stains to clean up and Power Shot worked beautifully. Again, within 24 hours, the stains were just gone! Very impressive! One thing I've done differently from the directions is that rather than blot the product into the carpet, I've been brushing it in with a carpet brush. I don't know if it works any better that way, but for a larger stain, it seems to spread the product into the carpet much more easily. Regardless, Power Shot is a great product and I highly recommend it!

Have used this product (Spot Shot) for years with excellent cleaning results. However, I have been continually frustrated with disappointment for years now on NOT being able to use all in the12 oz. can I purchase … as the propellant near always runs out leaving 1/4 – 1/3 of the cleaner in the can stagnant …without enough propellant, the remainder is trapped in the can ~ the cleaner left is no longer an option to use and the remains are trashed ~ time after time ~yup, pitched in the trash. This product is not inexpensive and am throwing my $$ away by this constant defect…a real issue of concern for me …guesstimate per can I pay for and can not use, about $1.40 of product I end up throwing away…. adds up over the years to A LOT spent on throw away product…your defective package performance has been disappointingly consistent. Looking at reviews…know I am not alone in my concern of having silently harbored in frustration for years as your product is excellent for my need of carpet clean, but feel cheated as I continually pay for 12 ounces, but consistently get less less due to inadequate propellant for amount of contained product purchased. Let’s just say this product is as necessary in our home as electricity. My fiancé and I are known to spill spot shot is magic! It can remove red wine from white carpet and any food stain from our furniture and most recently, my favorite restoration hardware rug! We never had that happen with any other carpet powders before. I bought this item because they were out of my normal brand. I cleaned a 6×10 carpet in a living room. By the time I was done, it was actually a light grey. I'm amazed by the change in color and the product worked better than I expected an offbrand to. I had to use roughly 3.5 cans due to needing to do a full application and then a sI bought this item because they were out of my normal brand. I cleaned a 6×10 carpet, which was a light brownish color, in a recently purchased used trailer. By the time I was done, it was actually a light/medium grey. I'm mortified by how much the carpet changed, but the product worked well. I had to use roughly 3.5 cans due to needing to do a high traffic area/spot treatment. If you are doing one full treatment of a 3×6 or more room, buy an extra can just to be safe. Other than that, it works just as well as any name brand I have ever bought.Floofy

I'd not of ordered from them but with Covid protocol our place was out of it and only open to certain hours. So we couldn't get any from them, I thought I'd order from here. WRONG. 1st of all: Shipping was the worst came in a box neither can was wrapped around them to protect the product. Cause of this, I went to use one of the can after shacking for a half hour it still came out as watery liquid which wrecks your carpet is what our carpet company told us it should always come out as FOAM 2 To get a refund is the worst possible. I always order things and they dont turn out to work! But this actually HAS! Im surprised how well it actually works, but it does take a while to get the stain off thats why you get two bottles I think, but it probably depends on the stain! I had loads of make up stains on my carpet and its took them all off! Took a while to take red lip stick off though, I would definitely recommend this product! I didnt pierce a hole as one of the bottles seal was already off so I just poured some on the stain and then started brushing it with the brush! Great product! Happy with it! I managed to drop my bronzer on the floor again when I cleaned it first time so thought Id take another before and after picture! Definitely ordering some more!!ronniwm

I have used this product for some time now. However initially I whipped off the inner card cover [as with most products] then read that one is meant to pierce it! Trying to stick it back on is not very successful. On another bottle, the same cardboard cover came off as I unscrewed the lid; currently I have decanted all the fluid into a spare washing up liquid bottle but use the brush with a small amount of cleaner on it. The customer service was helpful and sent me a replacement. Having said that, the mechanism is easy to use, and works well where mud has been walked in from our doors.qos53

This is the best carpet cleaning formula I've ever used! I have used a ton of different brands, none compare in the slightest. This gets my carpets super clean, removes stains, and refreshes as well. You only need a little amount, so you're not going to go through this super quick. Only brand I will use now and I highly recommend!! Very disappointed with this item. It does clean cat messes but not dirt from carpet. Also, what is in the box is not what is pictured on the front of the box. The brush attachment shown is black with a clear front adn 3 rows of red bristles, actual attachment is all clear and has only ONE row of bristles. The attachment is also supposd to have a button to release if from the hose. There is NO button! You cannot remove it unless you pry it off with a screwdriver! The box shows a button and the instructions also show a button. You are supoosed to remove the attachment & hook the hose to the machine to run water through but you can't take the attachment off so you can't clean it. Using a screwdriver to pry it is going the break the cheap plastic attachment. I did try to contact Hoover but the bot said it was too busy and booted me off. When purchasing anything I expect to receive what is pictured on the box not some other cheap junk. Disappointed!!DawnyLouWho

Love this wet vac! We just got a new puppy and the only handheld wet vacs like the discontinued Bissell we had in the past are impossible toclean. They don’t come apart like they need to. This Hoover is bigger, but just as portable and does a MUCH better job than the handhelds. It was super easy to set up, and I can’t believe how easy it is to clean after use. The hose cleaning feature is phenomenal and is one of the main reasons I got this over the Bissell Little Green Machine. Well worth the investment to keep my carpets clean while puppy learns how to comply with socially acceptable bathroom norms. I have owned this unit for 5 years after previously owning a Bissel Little Green Machine (the Bissel nosel stopped spraying after a couple years, and unit would constantly leak). About a year ago I noticed it was getting more difficult to place the handle back in the holder (the hose did not stretch as far as it used to). I didn't think much of it, but then. Few months ago I noticed that the hose tore near the sprayer. I loved using this machine, therefore I wanted to try fixing it without having to buy another one. I used hockey tape and that seemed to do the trick. Then about a month ago, I noticed that the hose has also torn right at the base (I am unable to fix this with tape unfortunately). I wrote Hoover about this, however, I am far out of warranty, so there isn't really much they can do. Now I'm trying to decide if I should buy another one or try something new. I noticed another customer also had the same problem with the hose tearing, so obviously my issue is not isolated.Kryss

I just tried if after waking up to a present from my cat. it was reddish food on beige carpeting. it got it right up with no issues. then tried a few more older spots and it even helped with them. it looks like you better not wrap the hose back up on the machine to try to prevent it from kinking. ez to empty. it appears a lot of water doesnt come back into the tank but i found it didnt take long to dry. i dont like how the spray of the cleaning fluid comes from the rear underneath but you get used to it.todd

I read a lot of reviews and watched a lot of videos prior to purchasing this. So disappointed. Pros: Looks cute. It did remove a chocolate stain from my upholstered chair. Cons: It left an ugly water ring, so now it looks like I spilled something on the chair. I tried to clean it again the next day, and cleaned the whole seat of the chair instead of just the spot in hopes it would even out the color. Nope. Still there. The unit also leaked water as I carried it and where it sat on the floor. Also, the dirty bucket container never filled. I really hope I can get a refund. I've already lost a chair.BBB Customer

I know this is meant to be a pet stain remover, but I primarily bought it to be used to clean my car. I like it a lot. It seems powerful, holds quite a lot of solution, and has a pretty big dirty water tank. Something I noticed related to detailing is the default brush is very restrictive for getting smaller areas, especially in tight corners. I plan to get the crevice style tool to see if that helps any. The point I docked though is related to the efficacy of the float-suction-stop. I had a case where when cleaning the Cleaner after I was finished using it by sucking clean water up, the float must have an imperfect seal because it let way too much water in to the point of almost flowing into the motor suction of the dirty water tank. I caught it because I was watching it. I don't see this as a real issue mainly because in normal use it's not filling that quickly. Apart from that I like this machine quite a bit. I would imagine it would work really well for pet stains. It would be cool if there was a way to make a powered attachment (with an electric motor, not suction turbine) to scrub like their Pro 2x carpet cleaner brushes. It would make working on detailing a bit easier. Again, I realize it's not the intended purpose of the machine.
