Boy did I do My research on this Baby! As a user/owner I am being honest by saying There are a few issues with this Machine. No issue alone is Problematic, it CLEANS VERY WELL INDEED, however when there are 5 issues at once, it starts to ad up.The Bissell Cleaning Solutions are Exellant but Soo expensive(look for Generics). To clean a 3BD Home with Lounge/Dinning Stair case and Hallways will set you back between $100- 150 on Bissell Cleaning Solutions, I'm not kidding!!The 2 roller Brushes are Very Agressive compared to the suction, they literally rip the Carpet Fibres up in Chunks then block the Machine. The On/Off button is way down the side were you have to feel for it because You are standing to high trying to Juggle the Power cord and God knows what, it should on the top Driving handle. The water/Solution tank is far to small and the Water and Solution level marks are impossible to see. There is allot of Back and forth to the Bathroom tub to keep refilling and adding yet more Expensive Solutions while splashing water about. Don't even try and use it to clean your Matress(big Soggy mess). The cleaning attachments are OK, but it will take hours to clean Your Sofa and will hurt Your wrists (RSI) good job though. It is heavy and Combisome. The 2 roller Brushes don't disengage when you are using utility tools, so the hole Machine is blasting full bore all the time.It was fun at first, however the pipes kink, the Power cord keeps getting stuck under Machine, it keeps getting blockedITS A BIG JUGGLING ACT, and takes allot of Practice. PLEASE read instructions very carefully.If You can manage all that, it is a GOOD MACHINE in that it does Clean very well.If You have the Money for expensive Machines and are a 'Gadget Queen' this Carpet cleaner is a allot of Fun, and a Challange!Once Your things are cleaned, then there is the Question What do I do with this $600 Machine now IN THE CUPBOARD with all the other Gadgets.For Your Time, Your Labour and the Outragious cost of Bissell Cleaning Solutions YOU are better off getting the Professionals in once a Year to be honest! I’ve spent several hours of research, this is the Best Bang for the Buck. Do yourself a favor, buy it!!! Read the reviews later. I had not “vaccumed” my stairs in over 3 months as my DYSON DC33 died after several years. I did many hours of research and the Shark brands would be up there with Dyson in most comparisons. I was considering the Dyson Animal but it wouldn’t be less than $500, now Dyson is actual on sale for $350. Prior to writing this review after thorough research and also comparing the Shark Apex Duo Clean, I ended up with this one for $229, I was about to buy it for $279 and it won’t on sale next week. Anyhow just see how much dirt it picked up from the stair case. I only did about 7 of them and my dust-bin is super filthy. Although it might not me a fair comparison with the Dyson DC33 (that died) I’m certain it never sucked like this. This is the most powerful vaccum I have ever experienced. Now let’s talk about build quality, the accessories definitely feel inferior in contrast to a Dyson, so I don’t know about the longevity of this. I also did notice lot of reviewers complained about the pole or the main handle that goes behind the vaccum, that also is hollow and feels like it won’t last too long, but it works great I couldn’t be happier. In all honesty you do not need to spend $400-500. Some reviews say the Apex Duo Clean with 2 roller brushes doesn’t pick up as well as this. I’ve only tried the stairs, I will edit my review if needed. I will have to try on tiles/ hard floor.DmnTrd40

I have been a shark customer for a very long time. I have the power lift-away from years ago and the things runs like a champ. However, I saw this one and thought WOW no more cutting the dog hair from the wheel and an XL cup will save me so..much..time! I would say overall it's definitely a good vacuum BUT I miss features from my other one that make me sad when I pull this one out of the closet. I do still have the other so I can use both. Pros: Lightweight- for a large vacuum, this is very easy to lift XL Cup- definitely helps when you have 2 very large furry dogs Long Hose-ish- long but doesn't reach like it states Super Sucker- I did think the suction was very good on getting up massive amounts of dog hair (Border Collie/Newfoundland and Great Pyrenees/Aussie mix) Cons: No Lift-Away- Doesn't seem like that big of a deal until you are going up and down the stairs or reaching into vaulted ceilings, the canister doesn't fall over No Light- again not a HUGE deal but seeing dust bunnies run from you was easier with a light Hose- The hose states it'll reach 12' making stairs easy but let me tell you, it does not even come close. Like mentioned above, once you get hose fully extended you need something to weigh it down so it doesn't fall over from over extension Accessories- My liftaway had a ton of accessories for options i.e. stair brushroll, and a few others but let's stick with that one. For a machine that claims it's turbo power for pets to not provide a stair brushroll seems silly, I have tried to rig my old one to fit my new machine and it works just ok, I end up using my old vacuum to do the stairs ugh. Self Cleaning Brushroll- seems ok for now but still have hair wrapped around it that i'm sure I'll have to cut off. Overall: I like the vacuum, esthetically it's really good looking (because you know that's important) It seems to do a good job as needed, I wish it was a clone of my liftaway with "newer" features but it's not.WCoates

Got this to replace a 15+ year old upright, and I am shocked at how much technology has improved! This is a fraction of the weight, quieter, stronger, more maneuverable, and easier to clean out. The old one had the yellow plastic filter tucked up inside the machine where it was a serious pain to blindly get back in place. I love the ability to vary suction power both on the vacuum and the attachment. (I love the two-in-one attachment.) I gave our place a much-needed vacuuming and was horrified/quite pleased with the amount of awfulness this bad boy cleaned up. After the first time I used this, there was a lot of hair wrapped around the brush. I was initially concerned, but then I decided to trust the instructions (and test the product) and waited until after using it some more to see if it cleaned itself. And it did! I was happy to see the claim fulfilled in at least that one instance.Sherwood

For a long time I was considering returning this vacuum. The only reason I haven't is because it works well enough and I don't have the time to go vacuum hunting. It's an okay vacuum but it is literally just okay. The suction is good but after a little while the vacuum becomes hard to push. It does pick up a lot of dirt, dust and hair though. The hose suction is terrible and practically nonexistent. I used the hose to vacuum up a spider which, with my old vacuum, would have killed it. But this vacuum didn't kill it and it somehow escaped (I got it the next day with a shoe but really, it's that easy for them to escape??). Also the attachments will not stay on the vacuum AT ALL so I have to keep them in a bag. The cord is long, but too long. Even if you leave it wound, it often falls off the hooks while vacuuming and gets in the way.JustAGirlFromSomeplace

This vacuum was purchased by my household less about 10 months ago and it's already broken. I have used it almost daily, so it's gotten a lot of use. Worked great at first, but had to replace belts at least once a month because they kept breaking. I was using the vacuum at the correct setting for carpet height, however it kept switching to bare floor mode by itself. I wasn't sure how that was happening. Also, the top part of the handle cracked in half, which I believe is due to design flaw. When you are pushing the vacuum, this seemed to be the point that would bear the most weight and it's the thinnest part of the handle. It's good if you are in need of a vacuum on a budget, but don't expect it to last long.kristywink

Seriously, this thing is epic. Still mostly plastic on the exteripr, but, unlike cheaper vacuums, this has a but of quality and detail to it. The quality of plastics is higher, the quality of molds and designing are better too. This thing is no louder than any other vacuum I have ever owned, with the brush ruler off. But, turn that on (it can be disengaged on the fly with a foot pedal fit quick switching between carpet and hardwood floors – nice), and it is rather loud. You definitely know those brushes are spinning. I am fine with that, but some may be snowflakes about noise (or have sleeping babies – I understand not wanting THIS vacuum if you have a baby and relish a little nap time). If you aren't whisper-thirsty… THIS Vacuum will suck the ghosts out of a haunted carpet. I literally only have two rooms with carpet and a hallway, yet this sucker nearly filled its canister on the FIRST use! Seriously, I pulled up enough dirt, dust, sand dander, and dog fur that I ended up with about two pounds of filth to dump once I was done (and I only vacuumed the master bedroom and hall!!!). If you can get this vacuum for……. under $150, grab it! Easy to assemble, easy to use, very sturdy, very VERY well made for the price I bought mine at, and DOES A DAMN GOOD JOB. Ordered this bundle for such a great deal! Unfortunately, the item was delivered to the wrong address by FedEx. Totally not Hoover's fault. They re-shipped another bundle to me, and it worked out well the second time. I love these vacuums! They do a great job on our hardwoods and rugs and carpet. Our two year old loves to help vacuum too – that's how light the stick vacuum is! Being cordless is such a plus!!! Only wish that the batteries weren't so expensive, but that's not a huge deal. We purchased one extra battery just so both the handheld and stick have their own batteries. I will say that the handheld is far inferior to the stick, but it works for what we need (to do the stairs and our cars) – just have to go over the same areas multiple times, as the suction isn't stellar. I would recommend and purchase the stick vacuum again for sure… just probably not the handheld.Moon

I bought this cordless vac because I like any conveniences I can get when it comes to house work. I use my floor cleaners more often when cordless. I can glady skip wrapping/unwrapping, plugging/unplugging cords in and out of electrical outlets from room to room. I've been happy with this cordless since I got it last July (not quite one year old). It was an upgrade overall from what I had. However the hose got a hole in it not about 6-7 months in. Not from anything I could figure out. I duct taped it and after a second hole, I contacted the Manufacturer, since it's still within a 3 year warranty. They said the hose is not made anymore – already out of making the parts??? They will replace it — okay, — but I have to mail the whole vac back on my dime. They will pay for the shipment of the new unit. Which may be kinda fair, but it's too soon for this type of episode with a not quite a year old vacuum. Since the parts are not being made – there's no commitment to this product by the mfr. I did not buy at this store, but thought I would let someone know if considering — please don't do it.Chickee

I was going back and forth between this and the shark navigator cordless. They seemed pretty even on reviews. I mostly decided on this because it's was on sale on the Hoover website! I had to wait a little longer to get it then I would from other sites(about 5 days from the day I ordered it) but it was worth the price difference for sure. I was worried about it as I have 4 dogs. A great dane(high shedder short hair), a Mini Aussie( How shedder clumpy hair), a King Shepherd(high shedder clumpy long hair) and a Cheweenie(high shedder short hair. I also have a maine coon cat. So, I essentially have lots of hair everywhere, all the time. I do NOT know how this performs on carpers because I bought it for my wood floors( bathrooms(2), hallway, entryway, dining room, and kitchen.) So far it has worked great for me. I have had ZERO clog issues despite the amount of hair it has to pick up and I have been able to vacuum all the above mentioned rooms in one swoop without the battery going dead. It picks everything up easily. I actually accidentally sucked up a good size piece of paper today and really though it would cause my first clog, but atlas it didn't. So far this vacuum is performing perfectly for me. I think the only downside I can think of as of now is the fact that a replacement battery is 100$. However, there are off brand batteries other places that are compatible with this vacuum for half the price, and the reviews on them state that they actually work better than the original hoover battery… So, I will probably just go that route whenever I need a new battery. If you want a cordless for wood (or any non carpeted) floors, this one is definitely recommended. And it does hold up against that pet hair!Ameri5

Just bought myself an early Christmas present, the crosswave pro pet multi surface vac/mop. Really amazing how it cleans up, you see/feel/smell the difference instantly. I have health issues so sweeping/mopping is a challenge for me and i needed an easy option that worked. I have multiple cats and this is amazing with cat fur/dried up hairballs/cat litter etc, the fact that it separates all the icky stuff from the clean water makes the biggest difference…you will be in shock how much gets ckeaned up. Now this beautiful household tool needs care in between using it but i like the finished product so much i don't mind the clean up after and still easier then sweeping and mopping with way better results, plus i just put it up on my counter for easy access for the clean up. Tips: 1) don't use with a wet filter, always put a dry filter in. 2) get a baby tooth brush to get in small crevasse. 3) sweep out corners or hard to reach spots into where it can be vacuumed because this machine cant get to them. 4) i didn't get cordless because i don't want to deal with future batterie issues (not saying it happens but more likely then a cord) put top of cord on hook as you vacuum, easier to control cord dosen't get in your way. 5) clean spray holes if needed with paper clip. 6) make sure if you are dumping dirty water or cleaning off in the sink you have a drajn catcher because pet fur and gunk gets everywhere, you'll see as you are clean everything off and dumping water out, don'twant that going down your drain. 7) go slow when spraying the water, give wet vac mop a chance to do its thing. 8) make sure everything is dry b4 you put back together so no mold or smells start to happen. Like i mentioned, if you take care of this it will continue to take care of your floors and rugs. Ps: Not paid to write this, just a regular human. I paid for my crosswave and i really love it. No love is as great as the first, as they say. I bought this last year but after taking it to a friends house and power washing and vacuuming their entire 2 bedroom apartment for 5 hours straight for 2 days in a row, i think i mightve found the breaking point of this product… Haha, so after it wouldnt turn on, i returned it. I ended up going through 3 other new vacuums and returned them all, only to repurchase this as the 5th one. As i mentioned in the previous review for the Bissell Proheat Duo Pet vacuum, this one here was the absolute perfect size for a 5'3 girl living in a small apt. Its great in smler spaces and even if the suction is not as powerful as the Proheat Duo vacuum, this one does a good enough job for the size and its ease of use cant be beat. Cleaning it is suuuuuuper easy, refilling the water is super easy, and all i gotta do is just press a maximum of 2 buttons. (Meanwhile the pro heat duo has me feeling like an airplane technician, after having to take out a bunch components to clean it which was NOT easy and having so many buttons!!!) Im a bit OCD with vacuuming my carpet all the time (every day) and im always very pleased with the carpet cleaning after i wash it. Overall its been the best model i have found for a Wet/Dry vacuum so i highly recommend if its for a 1 bedroom apt. My only gripes are that this is not easy to push!!! Also wish it could suction better when going BACKWARDS because it only suctions good moving forward but not if i pass over it backwards and if the suction would be stronger too. Honestly haven’t had any major complaints about the vacuum. We do have kids so we use it probably every other day to 2 days. It’s a compact vacuum which is a plus. The one tiniest complaint I’d have is after going back and forth a couple times there are some items that you would think the vacuum would pick up, but doesn’t. Instead, I use the detachable wand for those odd pieces. I should clarify, the vacuum has picked up 99% of what is seen on the carpet. It’s just those random odd stragglers and it doesn’t happen every time. As for our tiles, I just use the wand to pick up anything necessary then jet swift it but that’s a different product.GL

To start off I would have to say that the Dirt Devil Endura Max Upright vacuum is a high quality performing product. There is very great suction when it comes to pet hair and even popcorn in the carpet that my child had spilled. The spinning brush is adjustable to many settings. Such as bare floor to higher profile carpet. It does a great job of pulling dirt and hair out of my medium profile carpet. It isn't to heavy so when I use the extended hose handle I can carry it from place to place. One thing in was not a fan of was the multi dusting piece. It was a little to bulky to fit into my window seal to get that dirt out. The smaller end was also not long and thin enough to fit into my dryer vent. The dusting piece also added extra unnecessary bulk. It is a nice concept but it isn't as great as the individual pieces. Other than my opinion on the duster, I really enjoy and love my Dirt Devil Endura Max Upright vacuum. If you are contemplating this purchase, I recommend you try this product. Other than marrying my ex husband, buying this vacuum was the worst decision of my life. It is bulky and cheap plastic. Extremely loud and makes my arm go numb from all of the vibration! It has a "hardwood" setting but the brush still spins in that setting, which can scratch the hardwood. I was excited about the pet brush attachment, but is doesn't really work since the attachment will NOT stay on the hose or in the attachment holder, for that matter. It does not have much suction, I feel running a lint brush over the carpet would pick up more! I won't even give this vaccum away because I wouldn't want anyone to hate me!BBB Customer

Very powerful, light and maneuverable, the brush is driven by a separate motor, seams like a great design, but the brush allows hair to get right into the Barrings!!! I removed and cleaned the brush after 2nd use, found that some pet and human hair had gotten into the Barring, melted the barring cap and housing. the third use the brush stopped before i was done as it was bound up. I only used it for the upstairs of my house. I'll call support to try to get another brush, but how long will the last? after years of well designed brushes, WHAT Happened? were they lasting too long?DAVID

My little dog sheds an unbelievable amount of fur. I use this throughout my home. The best things about this product are: 1) strong motor; 2) it's lightweight; 3) the attachment hose is long enough that the vacuum doesn't collapse when in use; 3) disassembling the unit to clean is very easy, assembling is also very easy. I bought a well-advertised competitive pet vacuum during the pandemic shutdown. It caused me nothing but grief. I don't have the strong hands of a 20-year old any longer, so I dreaded having to clean the canister. There were times I broke into tears of frustration because I just didn't have the strength to move the parts in the same directions. (I put that product up on the neighborhood website "for sale" section, reducing my purchase price by 2/3. Still no takers.) I need a clean house. The extension hose is hardly long enough. The attachment to get under furniture has no maneuverability to the point you need to get down on your hands and knees to use it. The latch on the base to change the angle is made of plastic and needs to be pushed several times to work… it's a matter of time before it breaks. And this is standard to all models. I was unable to release it with my foot and had to bend over and use my hand to adjust the vacuum. To use the wand, you need to disconnect the hose from the electrical cable. The brush attached to the wand makes the wand/hose heavier than it should be to use.Unsatisfied customer

I like the tools that come with this vacuum. There is a detail tool, dusting tool, and a tool for stairs with a rotating brush that picks up everything. It's so easy to switch out the tools and clean faster. The handle bar stretches far so I was able to use the detail tool to get spider webs from the ceiling and the duster tool to reach and clean the vents up high. You really have to clean your vents. I also used the detail tool to get on top of my door frames and the corners of rooms and stairs. Then I popped on the stair tool and finished the stairs. It made cleaning very fast and easy. This vacuum also has a spinning brush for carpets that is great because it helps pick up stuff deep down in the carpet. You can turn it off when on bare floors. It is amazing at picking up pet hair. It took no effort collecting a bunch of hair from my stairs and carpet. The only downside I can think of is that it is heavier than my last vacuum which makes carrying it upstairs harder but that's all. This is one of those purchases where you will be astounded by the performance compared to your initial expectations. As soon as removed the vacuum from the box, my expectations started to sink into my stomach a bit. The vacuum was light, and I thought to myself, "oh no, another cheap piece of plastic". Assembly though, was simple and easy. No tools required, which is great! As simple as plug and play. Within minutes, I was ready to test drive. Again, at first glance, you are definitely thinking this is a cheap, plastic vacuum. It even feels kind of cheap as you turn the selector to the appropriate height of your carpet. But through a couple of uses, i noticed this, with the handle in the upright positions, the selector moves quite freely, giving that cheap feeling, but with the handle down in the position ready to use, the knob now has the tension of vacuum's adjustment positions. You can select Hard, Low, Medium, and High. This took me a few uses to get use to, and it will you as well, because the performance depends on having this adjusted correctly. I found that too low, and the vacuum was dragging across the carpet, which made it feel heavy to push. But too high, and you were not getting that deep down clean that you want. So I highly suggest giving a few turns on different positions to see what works best for you. With that being said though, once you plug this vacuum in and turn it on, you will know why it is called the Pet Max. The powerful engine soon made up for those sinking expectations. After a few rows of vacuuming, and adjusting the height, I started to see a major difference in the performance of this vacuum compared to my higher end vacuum. The brush is amazing, it pulls from deep in the carpets to extract pesky pet hair. I was amazed, and appalled at the pet hair it was starting to collect in the container. Which by the way, is a blessing. My wife and I have 4 fur babies, dogs to be exact. And they range from short hair to long hair. And all the rooms that have carpet in them, we would have to empty the container after every room. The pet max comes with a large debris container, and the powerful engine delivers cyclonic action no matter how full it gets! That is literally the best part about the vacuum. No matter how full the container got, the performance did not lessen at all! I was very pleased with this purchase. And I almost forgot, the vacuum comes with two hepa filters!!!!! Shark Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum is light weight & really easy to remove the canister from the stick stick. Glides nicely over our entire house which has mostly wood floors and tile, but did well on multiple rugs with different pile heights. It even comes with attachments to clean the stairs, furniture or our SUV & truck. We had a different cordless one but needed a vacuum we didn’t have to worry about running out of battery 1/2 way through our home. The cord is super long so that helps us from having to re-plug every few feet. The dust compartment is simple to empty and clean out with a press of a button. We have 2 dogs and 4 kids so we’re constantly vacuuming, the power is awesome and it’s convenient to easily unload the debris. It’s lightweight too, so it’s easy for me to move around the house without it being a hassle. There is a little downside to it, which is that it doesn’t stand on its own, so you’ll have to either prop it on something or fold it (which is easy) in order to do something else if needed while vacuuming. So I’m taking it down a star for that since I do have to stop and pick up toys etc having kids & pets constantly playing.Heathermthomas

The Shark Rocket Pro, picks up VERY well. The area I first vacuumed with it, was a area that had been vacuumed the day before. Within five minutes, the Shark had picked up A LOT more. The vacuum was easy to assemble and the attachment comes apart easily to be able to vacuum the ceiling and other had to get to areas. The Shark glides across any floor easily and turns easily. The only drawback I found with this Shark machine was the motor was near the top of the handle and it made the machine top heavy. It doesn’t stand on it’s own. There are two small attachments that didn’t have anywhere to attach to the machine, that I could find. But, as well as this machine works, I find these to be minor problems. As you can see from the photo, it picked up quite a bit after only a five minute vacuum. I have animals and cleaning hair has always been a problem.adcatex6

This Shark Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum works GREAT ! I really like how light weight it is, I can very easily maneuver it around the house with little effort and let me say how GREAT it picks up all the dirt and debris from my floors. My carpets are much cleaner/fluffy and my hardwood floors are cleaned better than when I sweep. I am very excited and satisfied at how much debris/hair/dust/dirt was in the debris container. This vacuum has PLENTY of attachments that I can use on my stairs and I'll even be cleaning my curtains and window seals. As small as this vacuum is, is does the job QUICKLY and very EFFECTIVELY, much much better than my current canister vacuum. This Shark Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum is much quieter and very stronger in terms of suction than ANY vacuum I've ever owned. I went from 45 minutes of vacuuming to 15 minutes, WHAT A GREAT IMPROVEMENT ! Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend the Shark Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum if you want clean floors with little effort AND multiple attachments that can simplify and clean the most hard to reach places and other areas.liljayp

We have a German Shepard that sheds like mad all year long. One could build another dog out of all the fur he sheds! We purchased the Bissell Crosswave a few weeks ago and I am thoroughly impressed. Our area rugs have never been cleaner (they are dark blue so the fur REALLY shows!). And it's so easy and convenient to use. The canister is easy to remove and empty. The wand is easy to take off and use for those nooks and crannies with the slim tool (which has a handy brush that slides up for dusting). Setting the height level while vacuuming works like a dream. With our old vac you had to turn off the vac to adjust the height. It has amazing suction. The power cord is nice and long so you don't have to keep moving it to a different outlet to reach. It's the best vacuum I've ever used on bare floors as well. It doesn't shoot the debris around but actually picks it up! The inside of the canister has removable parts that can be rinsed off as well which is a nice feature as here in Arizona it's very dusty. If I could give more stars, I definitely would!Kaarin

I have a German Shepherd who is very floofy. I narrowed down my choices between the Bissell CleanView® Rewind Pet Vacuum Cleaner ad the Dyson Animal II. I have had 2 Dysons before. The feature that made me decide on the Bissell is that it has an adjustment dial for 5 different brush heights so whatever you are vacuuming can be done effortlessly with just the right amount of suction regardless of the surface – tile, this rug, p[lush carpet etc. I have tile, carpets and rugs. The other strong selling point was the included upholstery attachment, which works like a dream on dog hair. The only thing I feel that could be improved is the length of the electrical cord. I had no idea that my carpets, my floors, my home was THAT bad until I used this incredible cleaning machine! I knew my old vacuum (also a Bissel) was needing replaced, and the suction on it still worked well but it had some other issues so I decided to buy a new vacuum, Boy oh boy am I glad that I did! After vacuuming my no carpeted floors with this vacuum, they looked like I had just mopped them! It picks up pet hair like a pro! I love how the canister opens up at the bottom with just the push of a button, no mess, no fuss! And one of my other favorite features of this vacuum is the self wind up cord! What a time saver and back saver! I get so tired of winding the cord up. Also it makes it easier to bring from room to room without having to trail a cord behind you or get caught up in it! Yes, I love this vacuum! It works so good that if ever the makers of Bissell came to me and asked me to do a commercial for them, not only would I do it, I do it for free! I have twin boy toddlers and let me just say there is no possible way I can go without a carpet cleaner. Since my boys were born I went from cleaning my carpet a few times a year to a few times a week. I’ve literally had just about every carpet cleaner on the market. I know what I want in a carpet cleaner and either they didn’t meet my expectations or they couldn’t handle the abuse.
My Hoover smartwash pet is by far the best I’ve had. The suction this cleaner has is unbelievable. I’ve read some reviews about it losing suction before I bought it and the only thing I can think of is maybe they’re not putting the lid of the dirty tank on correctly. They’ve made it easy to clean the brushes. My carpet dries very quickly and the dirt that comes out of it is amazing!
It cleans better than the others I’ve had, but I still carry my little hand held scrubber brush to get the ground up stuck to the carpet messes my toddlers are notorious of leaving behind. However I cont think there’s a carpet cleaner out there that can handle that. What this does have is the neat pre treating wand that I can use on the mess before I scrub it, which is awesome! I’ve owned it for a few months now and I can honestly say I’m so happy I found this carpet cleaner. It’s well worth the money! I love it!Jamie Adkins

So far I've used this on two carpets. Our garage (very tight low profile and thin) carpet and our bedroom ( on a very dens plush pile carpet with 1/2" pile). Both carpets were extremely dirty (hadn't been cleaned in years). Both carpets came out looking almost brand new. I'm beside the fact that I didn't get pictures, but trust me, this thing works great! Oh, and even if you already had the Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe, you've got to upgrade! The Power Scrub Deluxe works great, but wait till you get your hands on this baby! There are some things that I don't like about this new cleaner and I will list them here, but this is just so hopefully someone in engineering is listening and can make changes to the next unit: – Carry handle: So unbalanced! Why did you move it from the front of the unit!? If I pick up the unit just from the carry handle, it tips over. Especially with water tank full. – If going really slow forward, sometimes the unit things I've stopped and goes into the dry mode and stops spraying solution. I was going pretty darn slow though so not sure if this can be fixed without a manual override. – Water splashes out of the side (mostly on the left side) past the reach of the vacuum. Enough to leave a long streak the length I've pushed forward. Since it's mostly on the left, I've decided to work my way from left to right to be sure and vacuum up that excess water. Maybe a shield is needed to prevent this. -As with my last unit. getting right against walls on wall to wall carpets is impossible. Luckily those are less traveled areas, but unfortunately since this thing cleans so well, there is a noticeable difference between what is scrubbed and what is not. But WOW! this thing cleans well! My last Hoover carpet cleaner lasted 10 years. So we wanted to buy another Hoover product. The machine we bought is very easy to use. Does a great job cleaning and is very easy to clean the machine when finished. All covers and tanks can be removed without the use of any tools, brilliant. Including the rotating brushes. My only concerned about this machine is the plastics are all very light weight. So durability is a concern. I'll have to be very careful when using this machine so as not to damage it. Other than that I'm very happy with its performance. A very well designed carpet cleaner.Will

This carpet cleaner did an excellent job at extract dirt, dust, and odours! The heated technology gave me confidence that my carpet was getting a deep, refreshing clean without leaving any residue. The vacuum was easy to use, put together, and simple to clean. I also found the spot cleaner to be very helpful in cleaning my carpeted stairs and small messes made by my dog. My only complaint is that it is hard to maneuver around corners and can get pretty heavy if you don’t empty out the dirty water tank frequently. I definitely recommend this carpet cleaner!joanne.h

This carpet cleaner is an outstanding product! It gets carpet and upholstery completely spotless, and the heated fast dry with indicator prevents the long waiting period before resuming use! It got old pet stains out of our carpet and couch, as well as freshened our mattress. No other cleaner allowed us to clean then immediately make the bed. This seems to be a well made unit with plenty of power to get the job done. I especially like the fact that it's very easy to to clean and keep that way. My only negative is the extremely limited instruction sheet. I was provided with a hand tool hose assembly…. But there is absolutely no mention of it in the "instructions". I think I've figured it out, but really? If this is any indication of Hoover after sales support I'm probably in trouble. Also no mention of any rinsing procedures. Just got to wonder what product manager signed off on this marginal support piece. Then again, they probably saved $.0000001 on paper… Woof! We will see what we will see. lolGary C.

I paid a carpet cleaning service last year and this steamer cleaned my carpet even better! I’m so glad that I invested in this cleaner. All heavy traffic areas are clean now. I have a small apartment but went over each area slowly as opposed to what professional cleaners do so if you have the patience, you can have a professionally cleaned carpet. I wish that I took a before pic to show you how dirty the carpet was but trust me, you won’t be disappointed. I also thoroughly cleaned the cleaner after finished so that in the next 6 mos. to a year, the cleaner will still be in brand new condition. I used a small amount of Hoover paws and claws soliton, oxy clean, downy fabric softener, and dawn 4x dish liquid to the gallon of hot water. I refilled once and this throughly cleaned my livingroom and bedroom carpet. This saves me a lot of money. Hope that this helps!Michelle

I could not understand how this floor cleaner received such high reviews. Then I noticed that many, many of the five star reviews indicate the reviewer purchased the cleaner “as part of a promotion.“ This cleaner is terrible and is being returned immediately. On the hard floor function, it was dispensing freshly no solution onto the floor. On area rug mode, it dispensed more solution, but the cleaner basically moved the dirt around on the hardwood floor without picking it up. I need a very clean portion of the floor, it’s still left impressions from the brush. The floor was left hazy, and tacky to the touch. I have had similar floor cleaners which worked much much better. I was able to purchase this for $238 on sale. Now I know why it was on sale. It was a complete dud. It is frustrating that I had to assemble it, and now disassemble it and go back to the store with it. From now on, I will be really skeptical about products reviewed that were purchased as part of a promotion.VAshopper

I will start off by saying that I had problems with my order but Bissell Customer Service was very good. I would like to thank customer support agent Nilka for their help in resolving the matter. When I finally received my carpet cleaner it was easy to assemble. The instruction manual is well written and easy to follow with diagrams explaining everything in detail. Included in the box is a sample of cleaning solution which was good for just over 3 full tanks of clean water. In use the machine is light weight and easily maneuverable. There is a noticeable change in motor sound when the dirty water tank reaches the full line which is very helpful. I was surprised at how much water was extracted from the carpets. The carpets were just damp after cleaning and dried in about 5-6 hours. Just be sure to go slow during the extraction passes and allow the carpet cleaner to do it's work. The 2 tanks are small but they are easy to remove, drain, refill and replace. I went through approximately 12-14 full tanks to thoroughly clean a large 1 br apartment with wall to wall carpet. (Living room, dining room, bedroom and hallway). The carpet cleaner does an excellent job of cleaning the carpets. Afterwards the carpets are clean, fresh and look revitalized. After use the PowerClean TurboBrush pet advanced carpet cleaner is really easy to thoroughly clean before storing it away. I highly recommend Bissell for both their customer service and superior product.GeoM

Out of the box, the vacuum was great. Sucked up everything. Within a month, it was basically a glorified hand vacuum. The only way I can get it to do anything is to use remove the hose and the attachments. The actual suction when using it upright is terrible. It vibrates like a dolphining F1 race car, makes a hideous popping and hissing sound from the side, and worst of all, leaves fuzz, dirt , and giant hard balls of lint all over my floors rather than actually cleaning them. Using this vacuum is more work than simply using a broom and a hand held dirt Devil. Customer service was helpful in trying to fix the issues but the suggested solve didn't work. The vacuum is a lemon…complete waste of the time and money spent.Card Lady

It does quality performing for pet hair to include the turbo extension tool for upholstery. DO READ ALL the instructions so you know how to properly use it. Don't assume! The tools are ill placed with the placement and storage of the electrical cord (always falling off). The telescope for the hose to attachments doesn't lock properly and always ALWAYS pushing back in. I don't have an issue with pet hair on the roller getting stuck, but I do with human hair and any amount of length to trash. The spot where the hose connects to the canister is constantly getting clogged because it is small and narrow, needs to be wider. Pay CLOSE attention when taking the filter out of the canister and putting it back; there is a reason it is meticulously marked. The alignment must be perfect or it won't go back together properly; this is the same for everything on the vacuum. Hard to push when vacuuming (hence one of the reasons I said to read instructions carefully)? You have to provide some air to release the amount of suction, so it moves easier with the little knob on the left; by the way, it moves also on its own.feltermail

Within 1 minute of its' first use this model #2475 Pet Hair Eraser Turbo had its' brush roll stop spinning before a small 10×10 foot area was complete. The belt assembly is centre mounted so debris from both sides of the brush roll collects towards its' centralized belt motor which sits open with nothing to protect it from debris. This results in it being the furthest thing from the "tangle free" unit it is advertised as. Removal of the head screws holding the bottom cover in place is quite easy so I was able to see what was causing the jam (see picture attached). The manufacturer claims the unit can accept hair length of 4-8 inches. The longest of the hairs in this pictures is 3 inches, so the job in question should have been well within the manufacturer's guidelines. Upon reassembling the base the unit promptly got jammed a second time. After once again removing the clog I decided to give it a different task, cleaning hardwood. This unit has a key feature for those with hardwood floors, its' brush can turn on/off, saving your hardwood from being scratched by the roller. Sadly there is very little suction (see video attached). I found without the brush roll spinning the machine picks up essentially nothing. The last major feature this unit is its' heavily marked "pet hair eraser" attachments. The Pet Turbo Eraser" is nothing more than the same "turbo brush" or "handi-mate" that has been commonplace on vacuum's since the 1950's. The "two in one" pet brush is a traditional fabric brush as is the crevice tool. There is nothing fundamentally different with these attachments than what is industry standard from most vacuum suppliers. I've had Bissell units before, the last being the significantly cheaper "Clearview Alergen Lift-Off Pet Upright Vaccuum." It lasted 2 years before dying a few weeks after its warranty expired precipitating the purchase of this Turbo model. All in all a poor vacuum. Don't buy this.Jimmy

After a short time of use, I was left slightly unimpressed by this vacuum. I own a similar vacuum by a different manufacturer and there are many features it has, that I wish this Samsung Jet vacuum had, such as a telescoping wand, a spare battery, a stand-alone charging stand, and a bottom emptying dust canister. What I loved the most about this vacuum was how extremely lightweight it is, the suction power, and the low profile vacuum head. I was very disappointed with the battery life of this vacuum, and I also found the pet hair tool (mini motorized tool) to be a mostly useless, battery draining tool. The low profile vacuum head and its powerful suction makes for an excellent vacuum on non-carpeted floors and it picks up pet hair really well. Unfortunately, the tiny wheels on the vacuum head made it difficult to vacuum carpet, which is disappointing for my household since it's a mixture of hardwood and carpet. (It just didn’t glide smoothly across carpet, especially at the higher suction settings.) Additionally, while the low profile vacuum head allows for vacuuming of tight spaces, it really limits the debris size that can be vacuumed up. There are three power levels to vacuum at, low, mid, and max. The mid level does ok but I definitely preferred running the vacuum on the max setting. Unfortunately running at the max significantly reduced the runtime of the vacuum to about 7 minutes, and with only one battery included, this means you're out of luck until it recharges. I did like using the vacuum to reach high spots around the house that tend to collect dust and cobwebs. The light weight of the vacuum and the extension crevice tool made it easy to get to those hard to reach areas without having to pull out a step stool. This is where the lightness of the vacuum really shined, as I was able to go around the entire house vacuuming corners and vents without my arm ever getting tired from holding the vacuum up in the air. Overall, after several days of use, I feel that the performance of this vacuum is just ok / average, especially compared to others on the market. There is definitely room for improvement. The Samsung Jet 60 Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum is really lightweight and easy to use with only one hand. It comes with lots of accessories making it very versatile. All of the attachments have a button-click system making it very easy to attach or unattach the different accessories on the fly, so there’s no delay in your cleaning. The vacuum has adjustable suction power and decent suction even on lowest setting, but has even more power when you need it. This vacuum is absolutely great for cleaning those hard to reach places both high and low such as corners, under furniture, air vents, ceiling fans, and window blinds. The Jet 60 is convenient for vacuuming your car. For me, the greatest application for the Jet 60 is vacuuming the stairs. Not having to drag a full sized vacuum up and down the stairs is very nice. The product package states that the battery lasts up to 40 minutes. But when I use it on lowest power setting, I get about 24 minutes before the battery gives out. On full suction power, I only get around 6 minutes of charge. The battery charges quite slowly. After a small job of just a few minutes it takes around half an hour to recharge fully and after a job that depletes the battery completely it takes several hours to recharge fully. This means that it’s really not useful for a whole house cleaning, for that you probably need a corded vacuum. But if you had a small apartment or dorm room it might work fine. Otherwise, it’s mainly useful for spot cleaning and small cleanup jobs like vacuuming the stairs or your car. The dust collection bin is a reasonable size given the battery life, you are likely to run down the battery before the bin is full. The bin consists of 3 parts, one of which is a HEPA filter, and is easy to detach, empty, and clean by rinsing with water. There is a jet of air that comes out of both sides of the vacuum. I mention it because I have experienced these jets blowing dust up into the air while cleaning in especially dusty areas or when vacuuming near loose papers, like on a desk, the papers can get blown around. Overall, the Samsun Jet 60 works quite well, but my biggest complaint is the lack of battery life. I’ve owned other cordless vacuums and getting around 24 minutes of charge time is actually pretty good in comparison.Mkru

Samsung really knocked it out of the park with this little guy. Between my wife and I, we actually enjoy vacuuming. We've even had competitions to see who can clean the most before the battery runs down! It's substantially more than I expected for the size of the battery, you can get a few rooms lightly soiled carpeted rooms in! Not just using it at the lowest speed either! (I'm not sure where Samsung gets the "up to 40mins" number, but I think you'd have to be not using any powered attachments, and at the lowest setting to get close to that, caveat aside, it lasts enough for a quick clean on an average house floor or more!) I also was not expecting it would actually pick up much more than an older hand vacuum that happens to have a long wand/sweeper attachment. It actually functions as a "main" vacuum if you're a frequent cleaner, as it handles deeper messes in a carpet that I was not expecting it to even come close to pulling up all the way. (dog and people hair plus some tracked in dirt/sand that was stepped in, took a few passes, but still managed) It's also not excessively loud, my infant daughter is most intrigued by it and watches us intently, whereas she was frightened/we had to put some hearing protecting on her if we wanted to use our "big" corded vacuum. The ONLY downside I have to this vacuum is the charging/mounting unit, which is why I gave it 4/5 instead of 5/5. Some folks do not want to mount a vacuum and just want it hidden in a closet until use, with a battery charger in the corner maybe out of the way. (The charger mount is a neat idea IF you plan on mounting, since you can charge the battery by itself or leave it in the vacuum and charge through the vacuum without removing the battery)GlennT

As a mom of three, and dog owner, I was absolutely ecstatic to learn I was selected to review the CrossWave X7 Cordless Pet Pro vacuum through the Stellar Review Testing Panel. Everyday messes are definitely a regular occurrence in our home, and I'm usually left with three options: Lug out the large vacuum, and haul it from room-to-room, changing outlets every few minutes; hunch over with my dust-buster for 20 minutes (which is not kind to my neck and back); or leave the mess until later. As a neat-freak, the latter of the options is never my favorite, and I'm generally left either killing 20-30 minutes when I could be doing something more productive on top of becoming frustrated and left with a stiff neck. So, needless to say, when the option for a cordless stick vacuum (dedicated towards pets and kids), I was like a kid at Christmas. I love this product! The three settings make it easy to switch between our hardwood floors, area rugs, and there's a turbo setting that is great at getting those stubborn areas that can really use some extra attention. The product is lightweight, holds a charge (I can vacuum our entire home easily on one charge), and I've found it's a great alternative to throwing my rugs in the washing machine. We have quite a few area rugs throughout our home (all washable due to kids / pets), which is great – but they are a hassle to wash / dry, lay down properly after-the-fact. With the wet / dry function on the CrossWave, I can literally run the vacuum over my area rugs for 1-2 minutes, and when done, they look like they've just been washed. Pet hair, cereal, everyday messes are easy to clean up, and the product is easy to charge / set-up and use. If I had to review any negatives, it would be two features. First, hard to reach places (under furniture, and particularly stairs), aren't the easiest to clean. Second, the instructions point out to clean after every use (highly recommend or I've found there is an odor with use).designgal78

Just to start off this is a fantastic product. We bought some appliances so we got $400 best buy gift cards and i had a $55 certificate from best buy(which the online guy that was supposed to help us never applied still a lottle mad about that and its expired now but whatever). Did some research it was between this and the Tineco floor one S5 but we ended going with this because we do have a few rooms with carpets. The pros: .It can clean our house (roughly 2,000 sq ft) on one charge. .That turbo mode is WOW!! .Easy to maintain and clean .Very lightweight .it makes cleaning so much faster The cons: .Maybe its the formula we are using but it is extremely soapy but started using less and it works much better. .it doesnt get the carpets the best( we know ots for area rugs) but on turbo mode it will do a room full of carpet just wont pick up too much of the water but man does it pock up some stuff! .the dirty tank gets full quick The 4 star is mainly for the price of it it is a lot of money for what you get, but honestly we have no Rugrets not even one letter! We are going to order the brush specifically made for carpets and try that out and see how that works and also some little tips. . Run the clean cycle after every use . After you are done cleaning and ran the cycle and cleaned your equipment take off the roller and put it in the holder to let it dry .once a week (i tried doing it every day but its too much) do a nice deep clean of your machine if you take care of it, it will take care of you.Ivan

This is my 5th Bissell vacuum. Whatever holds the vacuum upright broke on the first two. Nonetheless I purchased 2 more, probably because I understood how they work and had spare parts. Currently I have an upstairs & downstairs Bissell: the 9595A (12 amp) and almost identical 1331 (10 amp). Both are reliable, basic workhorses. I bought the 2215 because I wanted a swivel vacuum with pre and post motor filters. I like using it. I like the swivel steering. It has a smaller brush and lower housing. With the swivel you can get around and under things better. You use your arm muscles more than your back. I like the longer cord (27') and hose (8'). I like the placement of the on/off switch. The roller can be turned off. The roller automatically turns off when the vacuum is in the upright position (nice touch). You can adjust the suction power for the type of rug you are vacuuming. I do not use the turbo tool on any of my Bissells. On the 2215 I replaced it with a dusting brush I had on hand. Why only 3 stars? I do not think it picks up as well as my other two Bissells. It is a simple eyeball test. I realize the debris in the 2215 is compressed into a smaller container, but I think the other two vacuums pick up more stuff. I have a theory why, but will keep it to myself. I wonder if I should have purchased the swivel with the 5 part height adjustment although it had only a pre motor filter. I am not disgusted with this vacuum, but I am a bit sorry I bought it simply because I think the other two Bissells work better.Paul

I have four cats, two shed quite a bit. This is the second Bissell vacuum I have purchased. The first one had lasted me just about 20 years. I thought that in itself was incredible and it was still working as good as the day I bought it until the last day when I think the bearings went kaput, but 20 years? Buying another Bissell was another no-brainer! This vacuum is the same exact price as the one I purchased in 2001. Though this vacuum is a little on the heavy side, it makes no difference because it is very easy to operate. It can swivel to get into get into places easily and has a low profile to reach under items all my past vacuums could never get to. What I like most about Bissell vacuums is that they pick up everything on one pass, including cat fur and that makes vacuuming a pleasure! Kudos to the designers of these great vacuums!Walter

I bought this over a month ago. It's OK, it is heavier than I expected compared to my older, other brand vacuum. The design his not great. The power cord comes out at the bottom on the right side. This is poor design, especially for a right handed person. We would hold excess cord in left hand in order to push the vacuum with our right hand. By placing the power cord center, further up the unit would be more ambidextrous. The tiny plastic clip used to hold the cord up from floor broke the third time I used it. The machine is most suited to a left handed user. I would guess it was designed by a left handed person, someone who doesn't vacuum often. The attachments are junk and the plastic cracked at first use. The suction is pretty good but the beautiful clear collection tank looks like crap with first use……and I don't want to have clean my vacuum after every use to keep it looking nice. When emptied make sure you push it down into the garbage can because a cloud of dust will come flying back up at you. Its the pet model but does clog easily with pet hair. The cleaning wand is awkward and stiff and again could/should be designed better.Booskitten

I have bought this vacuum 3 times! This was my first vacuum and I was just really wanting Shark to work for our family. The original lasted two years. The second lasted two years and the third stopped working after four months. I should of given up after the first one, but this was my first vacuum and didn’t want to explore other brands. I just purchased my first Bissel & WOW. Such a difference. My tank was completely full and showed how much my shark was not picking up. If you are going to get a Shark, get a nicer model.Ally2022

Great Black Friday Deal. No model is perfect. This is my 2nd shark. A few complaints on this model. 1.The power cord placement. If you are not holding or manipulating the powercord, because of its placement on the unit it can wrap under the neck at the base. Then if/when you try to lock it in the upright position the cord can get pinched. Even possibly damaged if you force it not realizing. 2.It does'nt have the power switch on the handle like my other older Shark. I constantly have to reach around to turn it off instead of pressing a button on the handle where my thumb is already. 3. The filters are different. Standardize to save everyone time and money. Does a great job otherwise. They hold up better than a comparable model at the price. It's a household vacuum that I use in my house like a shopvac and I've had shop vacs that didn't last or do as well a job.EAS
