I received this item as a free gift in my shipment. This product will moisturize hair and skin. I used it on a small patch of psoriasis I have on the back of my head. Put a quarter size amount of castor oil in the palm of my hand and put 2 to 3 drops of Teatree oil, mix it together and apply to scalp. Scaling and flakes went away. Castor oil is an amazing and generally overlooked item every woman should have. You can use this on your hair, nails, skin, lashes. I know some who use it on stretch marks. It feels amazing on the skin. It's a thicker oil which is nice because it's a lot less messy and easier to control. I've used plain thick castor oil from a dropper bottle for my hair before, so this applicator bottle was wayyyyy easier and less messy. Plus this formula is thinner so it spread really well. The smell is very herbal and reminds me of a spa, but definitely read the ingredients because it might not be for everyone. I didn't know what to expect because of the reviews, but I loved it and it made the shower smell good when I washed it out. I used shampoo twice and then conditioner and my hair is smooth and shiny, with a healthy scalp for the winter!

This castor oil is a must for someone trying to repair their edges!! I have been suffering with hair loss around my forehead and temples. I actually developed a bald spot and no longer felt comfortable wearing my hair back because of it. I have seen amazing results with this oil. I mix a few drops of it with my face moisturizer and apply around my hairline before bed every night. I have significant new growth to the point the bald spot is almost gone. This stuff really works. I absolutely LOVE this oil! Theres so many different ways to use this product and for the $10 price point it lasts a long time. I usually only use 1-2 pumps max and since this is a thicker oil a little goes a long way. You can add this oil to your conditioner or hair mask for that added moisture or add it to your lotion or moisturizer. I originally got this because I read about how castor oil makes your hair grow faster. I don't think it's made any difference in my hair growth, but it sure does make it soft and shiny! The first time I used it I didn't dilute it with another oil and ended up ripping a bunch of hair out because it's so thick. Learn from my mistake! Mix it with some olive oil and apply, cover, and leave it in overnight. Wash it out the next morning and be amazed by your silky hair! I usually do a treatment once every other week, I could see it weighing down your hair if you use it too often or don't get it all out in the shower. I use this for eyebrow eyelash and hair growth. Yes it works! Without question. My loss has been somewhat extreme so the regrowth is very obvious. I only put it on the scalp though with an eye dropper and rub it in. If you already have hair loss I wouldn’t recommend combing it through your hair. As the consistency is like honey and it will likely pull out more hair and it’s hard to wash out. A drop in eyes before bed is wonderful for dry eye. For oil pulling. This works better than any oil I have used. Only 2-5 minutes. Rather than 15-20 with others. I find if I do longer than 5 minutes my mouth get irritated. The first couple times I used it my gums got very puffy and sore and I was concerned but I think it may have been part of the healing process because after the first couple days it was fine and my normally inflamed mouth began to heal. I have extreme toothpaste allergies and it’s been a nightmare. As a moisturizer on body and face it helps to heal and I find as thick as it is it still doesn’t break me out. As a castor oil pack. Lovely for detox, cysts and fibroids. As a laxative I find it doesn’t give me any side effects like cramping. All of the otc stimulant laxatives have given me terrible side effects and this just gave me a gentle bm. I know some people claim it tastes terrible but I don’t find it has much taste. What it didn’t work for that others have claimed: Lips. It makes my lips VERY irritated. Dry heels. Found no change. I’m considering trying the Jamaican black for hair but I just like the idea of the fact this is organic. And it IS working for me for hair growth. It always has BUT I start to have hair fall when I stop. Since it’s so thick it’s a bit of a pain. I put it on the night before I wash and wash it out the next day.iHerb Customer
