Very weak, I was expecting a higher concentration since it say's 100% peppermint oil. I used other 100% extracts before and I know how intense they are supposed to be. This one is already diluted from 100% oil to directly apply to hair (you wouldn't be able to walk around with the concentrate one as it truly burns your skin). Possibly the worst hair product I've ever used. My hair was a greasy, waxy mess fro several days. I washed it 3-4 times a day, which I hated to do, but it would never wash out. Love this product. I have always had lash extensions, and for the last 3-4 years had them continuously. Jamaican Black Castor oil is my best friend and should be yours if you have natural hair. It is great as it helps your hair grow, stay moisturised and look phenomenal. It may not be the best thing for caucasian/asian hair due to its thickness which will weigh the hair down and also cause it to look greasy. There is no really strong obvious smell, but there is a smell. Be sure to massage this oil into your scalp and hair regularly for the best results. This item arrived damaged. The top was broken and rather than the company shipping a new item to me, they taped the top together with blue masking tape and then wrapped it in bubble wrap before putting it in the envelope to be shipped to me. Needless to say when it arrived to me, the bottle had leaked all inside the bubble wrap and the envelope. Luckily for me I had an almost empty bottle of the castor oil so I transferred the remaining product into that bottle. I naturally have straight, fine hair. Every once in a while, I'll get a thickening product to help me change up my look. I've been using this the past few weeks and I can say there is a noticeable difference. Is it a miracle product that gives long luscious George of the jungle hate, no. I absolutely love this Thickening 2in1 Shampoo + Conditioner. It has a clean scent, good pump, and thick rich lather. Right now, I'm pairing it with their thickening pomade and the combo is truly a revelation. As someone with thinning hair, things haven't felt this right in a long time. I have been using this shampoo plus conditioner for almost 2weeks now and I have definitely seen some difference in the thickness of my hair. Very weak, I was expecting a higher concentration since it say's 100% peppermint oil. I used other 100% extracts before and I know how intense they are supposed to be. This one is already diluted from 100% oil to directly apply to hair (you wouldn't be able to walk around with the concentrate one as it truly burns your skin). It smells lovely and I hope that it improves hair growth, but it makes hair very oily and look heavy and greasy, so I suggest keeping it in overnight and wearing a cap to not stain the pillow then showering it out, or using it as a leave-in treatment for a few hours before washing hair before bed. I have always been in oily hair oily skinned person and I always straight away from using oils. But over the last two years I’ve learned how much I actually need them. I was able to try this product in exchange for review, which I was thrilled about as I have always wanted to try this particular Shea Moisture line. I have heavily highlighted and have attacked it quite regularly with hot tools. Add in pandemic self-done haircuts, my hair has been feeling rather dry and brittle. After two weeks of using this shampoo, twice a week, My hair feels moisturised but perhaps a little too much so. For my particular hair, I cannot use this is my go-to shampoo, but more as a twice a month or so treatment shampoo. The texture is not like any I have tried before, it is a semi-viscus liquid that pours out like a watery honey, not at all like a standard shampoo, so pay attention in the shower! The smell is a comforting warm vanilla. For my hair this product is a little too moisturising to use with every wash, but if you have coarser hair than mine, I definitely say give it a whirl. I was able to try the Black Castor Oil Strengthen & Restore Shampoo as a #freeproduct with #trywithtopbox & was pleasantly surprised. Keeping in mind this is a restorative shampoo it's very unconventional in the way it looks, smells & shampoos the hair. I was very skeptical but was used to it by the 2nd to 3rd time using it. It doesn't suds up/lather as much as a regular shampoo but it does if you really massage the hair well & give it a second shampoo. The color doesn't bother me as I said you get used to it. My hair didn't have the traditional "clean" feeling the first time I used it but there's a definite silkier almost more creamy feel to the hair after using it which is nice. This was a nice surprise! After using it for a few weeks now, I feel like again, I'm used to it & it leaves the hair clean & amazingly hydrated. Keep in mind this is all because this shampoo is sulfate-free (which is a good thing!). So give it a chance! You wouldn't necessarily use this if you have a ton of product in your hair you need to get off (lots of hairspray, gel etc,). This could be used for the second round of shampooing. So recommend to use this when you need some hydration & your hair is heat damaged. Also big plus it didn't burn my eyes which is my number one test with any shampoo especially when I saw the highlighted ingredients as peppermint & apple cider vinegar. I've used Heritage Store Castor Oil for years and absolutely love it! It's my daily oil to use on my scalp along with Heritage Store Rosewater Vinegar spray. I mix the castor oil with either an essential oil or another lighter oil. Spraying the scalp first helps to seal the oil to your scalp. I've had issues with hair growth since menopause but recently had success with applying the spray before adding the oil. Of course consuming dark green leafy vegetables is a must. I've tested many lash and eyebrow serums and they all have one thing in common. All of them have castor oil high up on the list. I bought this bottle of pure castor oil for $2 and I literally just swipe a bit on my eyebrows and lashes at night and it definitely has thickened my eyebrows and lengthened and softened my eyelashes. I find a lot of the other products that are made specifically for this purpose irritate my eyes. It also adds another layer of moisture under my eyes. The key is to apply it very thinly. I was on the fence about getting this because people said it's thick and I was worried about whether it might be difficult to wash out. Happy to say that with my regular Kristin Ess shampoo it washed with one wash – but I always double shampoo so I did that. I also used the Tangle Teeser scalp massager thing, really helps get in between the hair to clean the scalp. I'm excited to see if doing masks with this stuff will help my hair grow longer and/or get thicker. This is a good cleansing shampoo. I usually alternate this once or twice a week when I've been outside sweating because it REALLY strips the hair of oil and dirt. I mainly focus it on my scalp which gets oily easily. It leaves my hair shiny but it can be really drying if not used sparingly. Maple, really? Was my first thought upon giving Garnier #WholeBlends Maple Shampoo a try. I love maple on my pancakes but in my hair? But you know what, I loved the way this smelled. Subtle hints of maple made this a very pleasant smelling shampoo. After using this several times now, I do feel like it leaves my hair feeling soft, but somehow it still feels dry, kind of strawlike. Maybe that's because I color my hair and I need something a bit more moisturizing than this formula. I have to use Argan oil after each use to add some moisture back to my hair. Also I have fine, but thick hair. Also, I wasn't a fan of the way this lathered up/coated my hair during washing. Not sure how to describe it, but after washing it out my hair somehow didn't feel clean enough, like it didn't really penetrate my locks. I probably wouldn't purchase this for myself, but maybe if they offered a formula more suited to my particular hair type. I'm really enjoying Garnier's new #WholeBlends Maple Remedy Conditioner. I'm a "fall" gal, so anything that is reminiscent of my favorite season is generally a win for me. This conditioner definitely falls in that category. The smell is absolutely delicious. Even though it's maple, it is completely free of that "sugary sweet" note, and instead is richly scented with warm, amber tones that are lovely in your hair! As far as the texture, this conditioner is rich and thick and has more of a "hair mask" feel to it than what I would consider to be a regular daily conditioner, although I didn't notice it being too heavy in my fine hair. It's infused with a number of natural ingredients also. One that peaked my interest was the castor oil – I know that this is an ingredient that is commonly recommended for hair growth and I was excited to see it included in this formula. I bought this years ago to try out the oil cleansing method. I did end up using and liking OCM, but I didn't really see an advantage to jojoba oil over almond oil, so I went for almond oil because it's cheaper. For my OCM I used 2/3-3/4 almond oil, 1/3-1/4 castor oil, and a generous amount of tea tree oil. I have combination skin, and I tend to break out. I never had luck steaming the oil off of my face with towels soaked in hot water, nor did it just magically soak into my skin as it did for someone else out there. Personally, I ended up rubbing the oil onto my face, then washing it off with natural soap. Then my face got good and deep-cleaned. I tend to use OCM in the summer, when I'm a sweaty greasy mess. In the winter I just rinse my face with water in the morning, and use natural soap when I shower. When I do OCM, I can feel the oil pulling the oil and dirt out of my pores and getting everything really clean, without drying me out. (The oil starts off thicker, then thins out as it mixes with the oil from my face.) I never tried jojoba oil for other things, although I've been thinking of trying it again in homemade lotions/body butters. The nice thing about jojoba is that it doesn't go rancid as fast as other oils. By the way, I highly recommend buying small amounts of oils in the beginning, because you don't know what you'll end up using and liking. 4 oz is plenty for OCM, and will let you play around with a lot of other recipes as well (it's a good idea to try half recipes until you find what works for you). It's a shame to waste ingredients or having them sitting around unused until they go rancid. First figure out exactly what works best for you, then buy that in the quantities that you see that you'll use. Almond oil is very thin. Jojoba oil is definitely thicker. Castor oil is super thick and almost sticky. I think that Now has castor oil as well, probably for cheaper. I don't know that Aura Cacia is any better. A friend told me that she rubs castor oil on her kids' chests when they're congested and coughing. I tried it a few times. Maybe it helped, I'm not sure.iHerb Customer

This product offers great value for the price I bought it for. I've used it on my eyelashes, my face, my nails, and my body. The stickiness is a texture I've gotten used to, and I find that if I cut it with another product, it's not so thick and sticky. It smells almost peppery, like you'd imagine a castor seed scent to be. The quality is fantastic and I will buy over and over again once I run out.
