I was able to try this product in exchange for review, which I was thrilled about as I have always wanted to try this particular Shea Moisture line. I have heavily highlighted and have attacked it quite regularly with hot tools. Add in pandemic self-done haircuts, my hair has been feeling rather dry and brittle. After two weeks of using this shampoo, twice a week, My hair feels moisturised but perhaps a little too much so. For my particular hair, I cannot use this is my go-to shampoo, but more as a twice a month or so treatment shampoo. The texture is not like any I have tried before, it is a semi-viscus liquid that pours out like a watery honey, not at all like a standard shampoo, so pay attention in the shower! The smell is a comforting warm vanilla. For my hair this product is a little too moisturising to use with every wash, but if you have coarser hair than mine, I definitely say give it a whirl. I will repeat purchase, as this shampoo does strengthen & restore my hair due effective natural components: Jamaican Black Castor oil, Fair Trade Shea Butter & Peppermint. It's sulfate-free, eligible for colored hair, by the way. The scent is really extremely pleasant like parfume for hair. My man loves the aroma & makes compliments. The only minus that I detected is that as It nourishes hair, my hair becomes one day ahead in comparison with other shampoos with cleaning leading role, not restoring. I was able to try the Black Castor Oil Strengthen & Restore Shampoo as a #freeproduct with #trywithtopbox & was pleasantly surprised. Keeping in mind this is a restorative shampoo it's very unconventional in the way it looks, smells & shampoos the hair. I was very skeptical but was used to it by the 2nd to 3rd time using it. It doesn't suds up/lather as much as a regular shampoo but it does if you really massage the hair well & give it a second shampoo. The color doesn't bother me as I said you get used to it. My hair didn't have the traditional "clean" feeling the first time I used it but there's a definite silkier almost more creamy feel to the hair after using it which is nice. This was a nice surprise! After using it for a few weeks now, I feel like again, I'm used to it & it leaves the hair clean & amazingly hydrated. Keep in mind this is all because this shampoo is sulfate-free (which is a good thing!). So give it a chance! You wouldn't necessarily use this if you have a ton of product in your hair you need to get off (lots of hairspray, gel etc,). This could be used for the second round of shampooing. So recommend to use this when you need some hydration & your hair is heat damaged. Also big plus it didn't burn my eyes which is my number one test with any shampoo especially when I saw the highlighted ingredients as peppermint & apple cider vinegar. I detest mint in general (esp in hair care) & have used products with lots of tea tree oil etc. & do not like it. So points for being subtle smelling & not harsh. Honestly didn't even notice. I like the product. I usually have a great experience but this time was not the case. I had an address change in the middle of an order and changed it in my account and chatted with someone and gave them the new address. The person assured me the product would be shipped to the new address. Unfortunately it was not. So I had to travel back to the old address where it was shipped and get it. I ended up buying this product from the company as Sephora is always out of stock. I have colour-treated, very fine, mostly straight, thinning hair, and a normal (not oily or dry) scalp. I liked this product at first–gave me noticeable, above-average, volume, and it appeared healthy. However, over time (about three months) it has severely dehydrated my hair and stripped the colour. The dehydration is now making my hair look even thinner. Perhaps it might work for people with no tendency toward dryness or are willing to use a very hydrating conditioner with it (though in my case heavy conditioners deflate the volume). I’ve also used this as the replacement for the Kumuda which I loved. The product is fine BUT the smell is very masculine and strong and the bottles are a pain. They aren’t the soft plastic of before but the more rigid plastic which is really slippy to hold and harder to squeeze. Also, both the shampoo and conditioner are in identical bottles and for the shortsighted, it’s a challenge to identify which is shampoo and which is conditioner. Even my husband has to check carefully and he’s not short sighted! Perhaps there is an environmental reason for the packaging change but it still needs to be fit for purpose. Also, if I leave the conditioner ‘open’, it dries and bungs up the nozzle. Again, just a fiddle and therefore not a product improvement.Nicky916

I got the conditioner first and then the shampoo, truth be told the bottles are a bit tricky to distinguish but it is not that big of an issue ( the conditioner is opaque in lighting, whilst the shampoo is transparent ). The smell is extremely subtle and fresh; it gives an air of refined luxury, although it does not last ( but that does not bother me since I use perfume ). As for the results, they are very promising, my hair felt and looked thicker and with more volume, from the first shower. I never used its predecessor, but this one gets the job done wonderfully and really does not deserve the hate it gets.a casual shopper

I received the Pureology Hydrate Sheer products from Influenster for review purposes and have been using the shampoo & conditioner combo for the past 2.5-3 weeks to give it a fair chance prior to reviewing. For reference I have fine, wavy hair that has considerable damage and split-ends from bleaching my hair every 3 months as well as pretty regular use of hot tools/blowdryer. Therefore, I'm in desperate need of hydrating/repairing products that also don't weigh down my fine hair. As for the Hydrate Sheer Shampoo, it's a decent shampoo and gets the job done. A little bit goes a long way, it lathers very nicely and it rinses out easily. My hair is admittedly softer and hydrated after using the shampoo/conditioner pair together – however, I do NOT think this shampoo outperforms my regular favorite shampoos/conditioners from other high end brands – and at this price point I really do expect a higher quality product or at least a more noticable change after nearly 3 weeks of continued use. I wasn't a huge fan of the scent at first, but it did grow on me over time and now I quite enjoy the fragrance. Overall, it's a nice shampoo and I will continue to use the rest of the bottle, but I would not repurchase products from this line as I feel there are better performing shampoos out there for damaged hair at a more affordable price point.JillLo
I have been on a hair journey these past couple of years, including currently growing out my silvers. With this in mind, I expect my non-dyed hair to react differently to shampoos as it grows out more and more, but I have a ways to go still so this review is largely focusing on colored hair. I’ve tried different shampoos in the Pureology line before, and this one feels fairly par for the course. It does not have that endothermic minty coolness of other Pureology products, but it does leave my hair feeling clean. Some people have mentioned it made their hair feel immediately more brittle, but I didn’t notice that. Please note: This is a clarifying shampoo, so perhaps people mistook the removal of product build-up (and the damage that build-up causes) as the shampoo ‘causing brittleness.’ I did immediately follow with conditioner, and then utilized my typical post-wash oils/thermal protection products. My hair feels nice and I do notice nice volume for a couple of days. It’s not a miracle worker, obviously, it’s just a shampoo. You’re not going to get 80s hair from just a shampoo. I only wash my hair every two weeks, and this shampoo/conditioner line didn’t cause excess oil production that would make me need to wash more often, so that is a plus in my book. All this being said, I will likely keep this in rotation with my Olaplex, Oribe, Ouai, and Briogeo products.debra.r
I love the fact that this product is vegan and cruelty free, although it is owned by parent company L'Oreal that does test on animals. The packaging is supposedly made of 95% recycled plastic. Because I was aware of the claims that it contains menthol and burns some people's scalp, I tried my best to follow others' advice and put it mostly on the ends of my hair rather than rubbing it into the scalp. It definitely has a strong mint smell and I still felt a prominent cooling sensation after a few moments even though I avoided putting it on my scalp. The strong menthol combined with hot shower steam stung my eyes a bit so I can't even imagine what it would be like accidentally getting this in your eyes. I wasn't a huge fan of my hair smelling like mint while wet after the shower but the smell faded when my hair dried. After using both the shampoo and conditioner, my hair felt softer and shiny but not dramatically different than when I use drugstore products. I noticed some improvement in my hair's frizziness. Just like with the shampoo, I find this bottle difficult to open. I don't think I would personally purchase this product. But if you're a fan of mint-scented hair products, don't mind spending more money and would prefer a refreshing/revitalizing conditioner, then it might be for you.karolina .k

I bought the travel size of this shampoo to test out how it would do on my hair before I splurged on the big bottle. I was also a bit wary of the reviews that claimed it caused hair loss. I have wavy and thick hair with low porosity. I have a very dry, itchy, flakey scalp as well. I read that tea tree oil could help soothe your scalp, so I thought I would try it. I washed my hair as directed. Used about 3 dime sizes for my whole head and massaged it into my scalp. It lathers alright. Not much suds. That made me think that it wasn't cleaning my hair enough so I was tempted to put more shampoo on my head but I did not. The smell is very strong, but it does not linger in your hair post-wash. Usually, my head begins to itch after I wash my hair, but with this shampoo, there was no itch! So I was pleasantly surprised by that. I finished off my hair with the tea tree special conditioner. After I finished showering and dried my hair with a microfiber towel, I noticed no residue on my hair and it felt very clean! I couldn't see any flakes and my scalp wasn't itchy! Just from this, I am very impressed with this shampoo. To address the hair loss comments, I did not notice any significant hair loss when I used the shampoo. I am the type to shed a lot of hair as it is since I have thick hair. I also wash my hair about once a week, so I tend to lose a bit of hair because of that because stray hairs build up over that time. So this might not be good for someone who has thin hair or shampoos frequently. But for me, it works great. Hair loss was about the same or slightly less than usual. I washed my hair about 5 days ago and my hair is a lot less flakey and itchy. It still feels relatively clean with some oil started to build up on my hair. Best shampoo out there for oily dandruff ! Used a $400 prescription shampoo for 15 years and of course it worked, however one just can't Afford to keep using a $400 shampoo every day at a 30 day prescription. I'm a licensed stylist and always heard and was taught that Tea Tree has healing ingredients that Actually work . Never had the chance to use it. I got the shampoo and conditioner combo and used it for the first time today. Here are my thoughts: The "tingly" feeling is real. At first I thought it was burning my scalp but it's not. I have extreme dandruff and have tried RX shampoos to help that never worked. My scalp at least "feels" clean. I've seen a lot of reviews about hair falling out and mine did not at all. I have hashimotos disease which causes hair loss to an extreme so I expected clumps again. NOPE. Make sure to brush through your hair before you wash it! This prevents any extra breakage. The small is very strong. I love essential oils for their healing properties but the smells are awful. No exception here! Any tee tree product will smell like this BTW. DISCLAIMER: tee tree can be poisonous in raw form. If you have allergies, do not use this. For people with psoriasis this will not be for you. Keep out of reach from pets as it is poisonous to cats and dogs even as a topical product. Anything with essential oil products can be potentially dangerous and I urge you to research before you buy! For me personally, I think it works great and a lot of the negative comments here are from user error but that's just my opinion.Kelsey

L'Oréal Paris EverStrong Sulfate Free Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner kit is retailed around $14.00. It’s a very affordable haircare with rosemary leaf to fortify fragile and thin hair. I could feel the hydration and thickness since the first use with a pleased fresh aromatic fragrance. My hair looks fuller and soft without frizz. I was very impressed with this L’Oréal Vegan line. I have tried other versions from L’Oréal’s line of products but these gave me the best results: thicker, shinier, healthier feeling hair with weight but no weigh down, and leaves all of my scalp and hair feeling clean and balanced. I’ve never been a fun of their products before to try this EverStrong Sulfate Free Thickening kit because the others leave me with dryer ends and, oilier base and itchy scalp. It doesn’t smell bad, some of the reviews were a bit harsh on the smell. It’s rosemary and I think a bit minty. I’m on day three of use, while I haven’t really noticed a visual difference, my feel feels thicker. The texture doesn’t feel as fine as it normal is. I was lucky enough to receive this product for free to test and review courtesy of Topbox. #freeproduct My hair is colour treated, and thus, it is dry, brittle and damaged. After using this conditioner, along with the shampoo and serum from the same line, I have noticed a bit of improvement in the overall condition of my hair. I have less breakage and fewer split ends. The Everstrong conditioner is easy to work into my hair and rinses out just as easily. There is a bit of a cooling sensation – I gather it is from the peppermint in the ingredients. I think that has been helping to stimulate my scalp, and hopefully, in the long run, will help with hair growth. I look forward to using this product especially in the summer because of the cooling effect. The scent is more on the herbal side, but it also has a bit of a minty smell to it. Shampoo is thick for my liking and hard to apply on my scalp and hair, unlike other shampoo I’ve tried. After a few days, my scalp develops a lot if oils and became really icky. The shampoo may be stripping too much oils than best for my scalp. Because of this I get headaches too and I need to wash my hair soonest possible. Only then it helps clear my head.sharihan.s
I'm someone who doesn't wash her hair very often, maybe once or twice a week, however, I do co-wash or use conditioner every one or two days. My conditioners have a couple requirements to be something I want to use: paraben and sulfate free, washes out easily, won't weigh down my hair, and smells great. I'd say Garnier Full and Soft conditioner meets 2.5/4 of these requirements. +.5: this is paraben free, which is good for keeping my hair less gunky, but it still contains sulfates. Sulfates are what dry out my hair and fingertips so I try to avoid them if I can. +1: washes out easily, I'd say that most Garniers conditioners have this slick feeling that makes it so everything sort of slips off in the shower. It's not quite greasy, but it definitely feels like it's coated your hair and you can really feel it coming off when your rinse +0: this conditioner absolutely weighed my hair down. Even though it rinses out well it almost leaves a coating on your hair to keep it smooth and shiny (which is nice!) except I normally condition my hair 2-3 times before washing it out which I really could not do with this one. After the second use my hair just felt heavy, it still remained smooth and shiny but two layers was apparently more than my hair could take. I regularly use deep conditioners, but even those don't weigh my hair down this much. +1: this smells amazing. It's a nice fruity smell and you can definitely smell the pomegranate. This is more subtle than the shampoo that smells much stronger, but both are amazing. Overall this conditioner doesn't really fit my routine. I love the smell and how great it washes out, but the ingredients include sulfates which I like to avoid, and it simply doesn't allow me to go as long as I'd like to between shampooing. I think that this would be better for a daily shampoo user so you can get a clean slate every time you use this conditioner. I was disappointed because it smells so amazing, but thankfully I can just use the shampoo insteadchellstation
My hair is so flat and fine. This shampoo gave it volume and moisture. I paired it with the full and plush conditioner. I was also having problems with my previous shampoo breaking my scalp out. This shampoo cleared it up. I use so many Garnier products. I love them! I also had been ordering this from Amazon and paying way too much when I actually found out you sell it at Dollar General. If I could give this product negative stars I would. I really don’t like being this person but if I can save at least one person from my experience than this is worth the review. I have always had thin hair so I figured I would try this shampoo considering these are suppose to be the main 2 ingredients for hair growth, however, I had the complete opposite affect. I have never lost so much hair in my life and it is absolutely heart breaking for me right now. This product has torn me to pieces because I am unsure as to how I am suppose recover from this serious hair loss. If someone else knows of a product that actually works please let me know. A couple of weeks before Christmas I picked up this shampoo and conditioner to try to give my hair a little more life and to get it healthier. I stopped blow drying my hair and would only gently comb the ends of my hair with a wide tooth comb. Even gently combing my dry hair my hair was falling out. My sister (who didn't even know I was losing my hair) sent me a link about a lawsuit with Tressame. There is a major lawsuit because some of their products have caused hair loss and painful scalp burns. I looked it up and sure enough the shampoo I have been using had the ingredient they talked about in the law suit. I looked further into the shampoo and there are reviews all over the place with women complaining about my exact same condition. It's craziness. This is the strangest shampoo (and the conditioner) to me. I am used to shampoos that feel frothy and rich, and conditioners that feel silky when I rinse them out. I do a lot of detangling with my fingers in the shower because my hair is so long. It's well past my waist, almost to the top of my legs. Finger detangling in the shower helps prevent a lot of breakage. This shampoo (and the conditioner) scared me at first. I could hardly get my fingers through my hair. It knotted up when I shampooed, and took forever to get the knots out. The shampoo seemed to completely strip my hair, or so it felt. I'm talking SQUEEEEEAKY clean. I assumed that when it dried, it would look like a broom. But it didn't. I also used the conditioner, which didn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling, either. I didn't use any detangler or hair oil out of the shower because I wanted to see exactly how this stuff worked for me. I carefully detangled with a flat detangling brush and let it air dry. And it looked amazing! I was shocked. My hair was so shiny and soft. It had lots of movement, and my waves had definition. I've used about half of both bottles so far, and I'm not seeing any change. My hair doesn't seem to be drying out or breaking, and I haven't noticed any unusual hair fall. I'm still on the fence, though, because it's so difficult to detangle. The "after" is great for me. I have an oily scalp with wavy waist length thick hair (many thin/low porosity strands). Color treated blonde. Problems: fluffy/poofy hair, greasy roots, dry ends, seborrheic dermatitis (on back of scalp) 1. Product longevity: I only used the allotted card sample packet of 10 mL shampoo & 10 mL conditioner, which I was prepared to not be enough for my long hair. It was perfect! It went a long way, which was a pleasant surprise right off the bat. 2. Scent: the fragrance is pleasant, light but it hangs in there, even into the next day. The scent is unisex. It just smells very *clean,* like a fresh aquatic citrus. Although it’s subtle, it is noticeable enough to get a “ooh your hair smells good” when someone goes in for the hug. 3. Effectiveness: this cleaned my hair so well, without making it feel overly dried or stripped. I have a hard time getting a good product that works with my dermatitis, and actually calmed the flare up I was having. Day 2 after wash, my head was so much less itchy than it was all week. My hair stayed clean and free of grease throughout all of day 1 and 2. Paired with the conditioner, my hair was smooth, shiny, soft (but not overly fluffy/full of poofy flyaways). It felt hydrated and my ends looked good. I’ve been faithful to olaplex for the past 2 years, but think I may have a new fave. I noticed that with olaplex, my hair began getting greasy SO quickly. I was getting greasy same day as wash. I still love it (that LATHER and scent tho!), but I think it’s too rich and moisture-focused for regular use given my oily scalp. My seborrheic dermatitis was getting worse and having intense flare ups. Anyway, everyone’s hair is different, and can change in different seasons, so I really don’t think there’s a “one size fits all” hair product that will be best for everyone at all times. For reference: I have LONG hair with a naturally wavy/curly texture, and with that comes frizz. A lot of it – even though I'm very aware of how to tame it (naturally kept or with a blow-out). My hair behaves weirdly, i'll just put it that way – it's difficult to achieve perfectly smooth styles. HOWEVER… I've been using OUAI products (I started with the THICK SHAMP+THICK COND.) for a little bit over a year now & all I can say is…I will NEVER go back to anything else, ever, unless I find something AS extraordinary as this brand. It's like magic in a bottle, to me at least. I have never experienced better hair (at home, done by me) in my entire life. It's insanely smooth & silky. I have such minimal frizz now. I normally need to blow dry AND straighten my hair, but I am beyond satisfied with just the blow-dried results. The only cons, I would say, is that because there's such rich and moisturizing ingredients (love to see it!) your hair can become a tad oily after the third day, even second sometimes. You just need to figure out what the right amount of product is for you so that you don't over do it. The second con, though it's nothing too crazy, would be that sometimes I end up needing more product in the shower, as it doesn't lather suuuuper well – but again, this depends on hair length and the amount that you know you need. I guess I just wish it foamed a bit more, is all. BUT these are such small things that can be resolved & aren't much of a big deal. For the oily con as mentioned above, this is why I switched to the MEDIUM line & I feel like it has helped. The THICK line may have heavier ingredients. I have tried SO many different shampoos and conditioners. A lot from drugstore and high end. And lately I've noticed I've been shedding more than usual. I have been using pureology a lot. I've used strength cure, hydrate and the nano works good line. But for some reason the pureology strength cure especially really irritated my scalp and makes me lose soooo much hair. So I got the ouai thick hair shampoo and conditioner and the first time I used it my shedding was only like 10 hair strands! I've washed my hair 4 times with it now and my hair scalp feels so clean but the shampoo makes washing my hair so easy and doesn't tangle my hair. And the conditioner is chefs kiss. I barely have to use any and my hair is so conditioned after the shampoo/conditioner. My hair is so soft, shiny, clean and my natural waves/curls look really pronounced since using the set. Also they smell AMAZING I want a perfume in the shampoo scent! I got the leave in, oil, and curl cream and they all work together beautifully and don't make my hair feel producty which I like because pureolgy always leaves my hair feeling kinda gross when I use their leave ins. Anyway I totally recommend this set and if you're getting greasy hair from this set try the medium or fine hair set. This just probably isn't for your hair type. If I could give this product negative stars I would. I really don’t like being this person but if I can save at least one person from my experience than this is worth the review. I have always had thin hair so I figured I would try this shampoo considering these are suppose to be the main 2 ingredients for hair growth, however, I had the complete opposite affect. I have never lost so much hair in my life and it is absolutely heart breaking for me right now. This product has torn me to pieces because I am unsure as to how I am suppose recover from this serious hair loss. If someone else knows of a product that actually works please let me know. I recommend so much! I would love to keep up with this product. It lathers like a lot. Suds galore! It's so light weight , all you have to do is lather for a few minutes to help stimulate your scalp for better results. A little goes a long way! Simple packing for this brand really sold it for me, and the reviews. I have noticed my hair is fuller and new hair growth where my hair had been pulled out by a tight ponytail. Don't do what I did! I just purchased this for the first time and I am so confused as to why they would put a screw off cap on it rather than a flip top. So you have to screw the lid off and stash it somewhere. The conditioner has a flip top cap. Why would they package it this way and especially considering it's kinda pricey? I didn't even know any shampoos still had this type of lid. I am inordinately annoyed with this. I doubt I'll buy this brand again. There are other brands out there with better designs.Ccpc
I have been using this product for about a year now. I had lost a tremendous amount of hair due to covid and natural aging and needed to try something. It was phenomenal with stopping my hair fall out and within a month I could feel new hair growing. I normally have very thin hair. Throughout the summer I still had very minimal hair loss and my hair was getting thicker. Sometime this fall, I noticed the formula was much thicker than before and shortly after, my hair started falling out more and more. I don't notice new hair growing like I did previously. I'm not sure if the formula changed, but it does not work as well as it did. I am still using it, in the hopes that it will change back to the original formula.Krisal87

I purchased both shampoo & conditioner. Before I bought Living Proof 3 purchases ago. I have been on a hunt for a shampoo that would go great with my hair. I wanted to switch off from the drug store products like dove because it was breaking my hair so much & my hair just ultimately got thin wether from bleaching my hair or genetics. Either way we all know that the drug store products can strip your hair. On Living proofs website they have this hair test where it can help you figure out what hair products they have will be good for your hair type. My hair is fine, thin, brittle and super straight. I wanted more fullness in my hair & so far my hair does not have a lot of breakage anymore, I have more hair growth. I wash my hair every 2-3 days (yes, that's still a lot to some of you hahaha) but my hair used to get super oily the 1st day before using Living Proof. Now, I can maintain it within those days & within those days although my hair gets slightly oily it still feels/smells clean. I fell in love with their scent by the way. 8/10 recommend because it is pricey but I think it is very much worth.vb1112
I have thinning hair in some major need of a volume boost. This has definitely helped! The whole experience is such a pleasure. Smells incredible! If you’ve tried any other LP products before, you’ll know what I mean. The shampoo had a nice lather without being too weighty. My hair looked more voluminous and fluffy after use, but not in a major way (see pics). However, it pairs so great with their other volumizing styling products! This is the first time I try a shampoo and conditioner duo from living proof. I have very fine, thin hair that tangles easily and usually volumizing products or thickening products make it more tangled instead of just giving me soft, maneageable volumized hair, but this duo actually worked on my hair. It didn't make it look dull and gave a slight lift that wasn't exaggerated. This shampoo lathered really nicely and made my hair feel clean. I can't use shampoo that doesn't lather so I was satisfied with this one, it wasn't too much or too little. The formula is clear and has a soft fruity scent in my opinion.Sarahg2mua

I have noticed my hair thinning over the past year or more and tried a number of different products – none of which did any good whatsoever. Plantur 39 Shampoo and conditioner are both good to use. They have a nice smell and the shampoo makes my hair feel as if it has more bulk to it. The conditioner leaves my hair feeling nice and soft. I have been using the Tonic for about a month now and think there is some improvement but very slow progress. I will continue using it for now as the price is reasonable and (even though it might just be in my mind) I think it has marginally improved my thinning thatch.bonnieb29
My wife has been suffering hair loss & dry hair & I can honestly say that I have bought this product more than once for her & it's worth every penny. I buy the 3 products & it has made her hair silky soft & she is not losing the amount of hair she was. It has also given her a mental boost, to see the difference. I would recommend these products & it may seem expensive to some people, but what price do you put on helping your wife feel happier. It also has a nice smell to it.jstringy
I only purchased this recently as I am going through the menopause and losing loads of hair. Every time I wash it, I get handfuls coming out. I kept seeing adverts for this shampoo and thought I would look it up and give it a go. I have only used it twice so far so cannot comment on whether it will work or not as I am still losing quite a bit of hair. The thing I can say though is I was concerned about the price and how quickly I would go through the bottle as I have long hair. This shampoo is holy grail. My hair felt better after one use! Hubby bought me the huge shampoo and conditioner I loved it so much! I recommend this to all ladies, especially those who have bleached or dyed hair. It makes my frizzy, wavy hair manageable and soft. It doesn’t have an intense smell, but it does smell good! The shampoo cleanses without stripping, and with this product I can go about a week without washing. I do rotate this with my purple shampoo, and I love that I don’t have to worry about this making my bleached blonde hair brassy in between purple shampoo uses. Although this makes my hair shiny and silky, my hair is falling out excessively when I brush and in the shower. I know you lose up to a 100 strand a day, but I'm losing an unusual amount. Never experienced this. I brushed through my whole head last night and had a whole clump of hair. Took a shower the next morning, then brushed again, and lost another huge handful of hair. It hadn't even been a whole day. It wasn't a gradual fall out of hair. I can only assume it is this shampoo because I don't use any other products on my head, other than its a ten miracle leave in product to detangle, but that never caused unusual fall out. However, my mom uses this shampoo and apparently it works good for her hair and we both love it's a ten, so I feel bad leaving this review but unfortunately my scalp didn't have a good reaction.Elizabeth
I wanted to love this because it smells really good in the bottle. I used in for the first time and when my hair air dried (I rarely blow dry anymore) it felt heavy, brittle and dry, but my roots were greasy, and my scalp started itching. I thought maybe it was a fluke and I was in a hurry and maybe didn't wash it out well. I used it a second time and really made sure to shampoo everything and rinse well. Same thing. My hair do lasts up to three or four days, no straight hair again! It helps retain whatever natural curl or curl you put into your hair. I really enjoyed using this product. I love having major volume but also silky shiny hair, and this shampoo did just that for me. I was a bit hessitant buying it because I had never used chi products before, nor had I heard of chi, but to my surprise this shampoo was great. It smells very nice and leaves a flowery kind of scent in your hair all day and you dont need alot of product to cover your whole head and my hair is down to my waist. I always thought it was just in my genes to have dull flat oily hair but this shampoo (i also use the conditioner) changed the game. I've been using for 2 weeks steady now and the results to full, slightly textured but still smooth hair was instant and still goes strong !!! I've never seen my hair look this good even after salon visits. After salons it gets way too silky to where it doesn't hold its shape, but this shampoo gives the perfect amount of texture to give your hair body while still being silky. It also gives my hair beach waves which is incredible because I thought my hair was straight. I can't say enough good things about it because it actually does what it promises!! Textured, wavy, soft. For some reason Pacifica is the only brand i've found whose products actually do what they claim.. and it's affordable! I'm used to products lying to me straight up so this was refreshing. I also use their balancing clay sea mask and it's truly balancing for my oily skin.. it turns my oil/combo skin to normal all day long after use. I just got his and I enjoy this shampoo. Remember the candy Runts? The smell is exactly like the banana flavor candy – takes me back! I like the smell, but it doesn't last long in your hair. This shampoo is fairly running and I actually like that. I like to flip my head upside down and focus on scrubbing my scalp, letting the shampoo slide down the lengths of my hair. This shampoo makes it really easy to do that! It didn't lather too much, but that doesn't bother me. My scalp is definitely clean. It also helped lift my roots a little bit when I got out of the shower and my hair air dried a little bit. I have fine hair that is dyed and hangs straight when it gets dried out. Some curly hair shampoos I've tried bring out the wave and make it feel thicker but do not rinse clean and cause break out. I’m so frustrated! I bought a huge bottle of this at the end of last summer and it became my holy grail! I have thin but very curly hair and it gave me the perfect amount of moisture without weighing it down. I just grabbed a new bottle and the moment I put it in my hair I knew it was not the same. The smell was slightly off and my hair almost instantly felt like straw. I still had my old bottle so I compared and the ingredient list does slightly differ.
