The scent is not very pleasant, but it fades away after a while. I would suggest applying it 30m before going to bed so your pillowcase won't get dirty. It doesn't irritate my skin nor dries it out. Ok. So I had two really bad scars from my belly button piercing that I took out many years ago. I'm 2017 I got scar removal surgery and it did nothing basically besides make my it a tiny bit less noticeable. Last year I spent over $1,000 on fraxel laser to remove it.. once again this helped the appearance slightly. However my scars were still dark and noticeable. Most peels sold on Ebay don't come with everything you need to do it at home and feel like a spa. This kit came with a peel prep to prep the skin, the glycolic acid, a neutralizer to stop the acid from penetrating the skin and then a hyaluronic serum to help heal and sooth the skin afterwards. I have combination skin and glycolic was recommended to me to reduce pores and fine lines and since this peel only had my skin light flaking and not huge peeling pieces I've repeated it every 2-3 weeks. I have gotten so many compliments on my skin and I notice such a difference I find myself leaving the house without any makeup on! I received this product complimentary for reviewing purposes. I’m not a stranger to chemical exfoliation; AHA, BHA, and retinol are regular parts of my skincare regimen. I also typically use a higher percentage AHA treatment once every week or so. All of this is say: I thought this would like one of those. I was wrong. The application itself is not very beginner-friendly, as the product has a very intense alcohol scent. I found myself coughing each time I inhaled during application. It’s also very uncomfortable, but luckily that feeling subsides after the first minute or so. Immediately afterwards, my skin feels tighter and drier (and my skin is already fairly dry.) The days following, my skin peels and flakes off, not unlike the first time I tried retinol. However, about six days after the peel, my skin is noticeably nicer. The texture smooths out considerably and my forehead looks almost glassy. It’s quite nice. Of course, I stop all other exfoliation three days before and after, stay hydrated and moisturized, and wear sunscreen during the daylight hours. I’m very pleased with this peel, but I’m not sure if I would have stuck with it if I wasn’t already used to chemical exfoliation; the scent, the discomfort, and the peeling for days afterwards could deter someone less experienced.jessica.c

These are my holy grail product. I used to have acne throughout my twenties and early thirties and quite a bit of scarring. My aesthetician recommended these (ultra gentle ones first). When you first use them, with regular use, you really do visibly see improvement in the texture. You need your skin to build up to them so try ultra gentle first. Over time, breakouts reduce and scars will fade, and a brighter more even complexion emerges. I have purchased these many times and love that through Sephora you get a few extra as bonus, as per pad they are something like $3-4 each. Skin type: In between oily and normal (naturally), normal when consistently using retionid gels (Tretinoin gel, Adapalene gel) My brown skin is prone to dyspigmentation from inflammation, acne, injury and sunlight exposure. It’s not prone to hyperpigmentation from products tho (except in very rare cases) It also sometimes gets duller looking than usual in the winter. This stuff is a dream. Greatest ADJUNCTIVE OTC product I’ve ever used for lightening darkened skin, instantly giving me a brighter complexion, making my warm/golden undertones pop (more vivid color) and maintaining the flawless even tone I was chasing. Using this all over my face along with hydroquinone (2%-4%) cream as a spot treatment this will quickly fade the darkened spots/sections. If you use other chemical (acid, enzyme) exfoliants and/or strong retinoids (tret, taz, adapalene) you’ll probably get velvety skin that’s smoother and softer the touch. It also gets more supple and bouncy even though I’m still in my 20s and thus have a lot of bounce & smoothness to my skin already. I have been using a stabilized, ph <3, properly packaged ascorbic acid serum for years. It’s my holy grail for brightening but since my skin is resilient I can put it on after using this. These two products are the DREAM TEAM for giving my face the radiance I’ve always wanted I use this on my face for up to 20 minutes (my own dermatologist said this was fine for me considering how my skin reacts to stronger in office chemical peels) and for 7-10 minutes on my neck. I ordered my second bottle of this mask back in May, and just finished the bottle now. I've been using this as a weekly exfoliating mask, but it is not my favorite one I have ever used. It is at a pretty good price point – and I first bought this as a way to start exfoliating at home instead of just when I had the time for a facial (it was recommended to me by a friend with similar skin: sensitive, with rosacea). After finishing my first bottle; I then tried the Sunday Riley good genes (used as a rinse off 10-min mask) and PTR pumpkin enzyme exfoliating mask. I then bought this again to compare and contrast. As far as price; it is obviously the cheapest and a great option for someone on a budget. As far as how well it works; I first got this because at the time I had just cleared up a few months worth of hormonal acne (I am not acne prone, this was my first bout with acne and I did not know how to care for it, so I was left with quite a bit of PIH). I read about how the use of exfoliating can be helpful for healing PIH. In all honesty, out of the three exfoliant masks I've used, this has faded my acne scars the most – but – it triggers my rosacea – whereas the SR and PTR I could use on my whole face without causing my rosacea to go nuts. So, I started only using this on my chin and jaw, but it would still manage to affect the rosacea patches on my cheeks and part of my neck. Since I have faded my acne scars to the point that I want to stop using an 'intense' mask 1-2x's a week, I don't have plans to purchase this again – as it did what I needed it to do. If you want to fade acne scars- I definitely recommend this product (but definitely include the use of sunscreen in the morning) but – if you have rosacea, be wary because every time I used it – I had a reaction. This is my second time buying this glycolic acid peel from Skin Obsession. I've never had any issues or problems using it. I use it every 2-3 weeks and leave the acid on for 5 minutes (timed) and wash off with baking soda mixed with cool water. Then I apply a thick layer of face lotion. The next day my skin feels very smooth. I find that it helps active acne dry up and fades old acne red spots. My skin complexion has definitely improved since I started using this product. Also, the free microdermabrasion crystals they throw in with the purchase are amazing! Obviously this peel isn't going to be as good as one you'd get from a professional – they put a numbing agent in the peel so its not painful and can be left on longer. You're not going to experience actually peeling of your skin from this product. But around here a chemical peel is about $300 so I'm going to stick with this cheaper option!msmillie-99

this mandelic acid for chemical peel makes the biggest difference for me here. A friend of mine was using it and let me try. I am using it to address my whiteheads and larger pores. I never had many blackheads in the first place. I believe whiteheads turn to black ones. The peel slowly cleaned my whiteheads but I did not want to use it too strong. This is an effective product. I began to see a slothing after several days. I used a cotton gauze, applied thin layer horizontally across face and then vertically waited approximately 1-2 minutes and rinsed with cold water. I followed with Hydraulic acid. I by no means have the best consistant skin care regimen but I did make sure I used the Hydraulic serum twice a day sometimes I would use an additional night cream with it. Please be careful I did give myself small chemical burns, 1 was where a zit wasn't healed enough apparently and just another small spot on my chin for no apparent reason so I guess just a sensitive area. It didn't hurt just had another ugly spot until healed. So yes this is strong and effective, I like the result of lighter look to my age spot/ unevenness so far and skin is brighter already. This is actually the second bottle of the stuff that I have purchase. That is how much I love the stuff I actually bought a second bottle. When I first got it it took me awhile to use it. I was a bit intimidated at first because of the instructions and I had never done or used any kind of chemical peel before. So fast forward to about two weeks after I get the first bottle. To me sitting at my vanity with a bowl of baking soda and water, a timer, and my bottle of Divine Alpha hydroxy acid skin Rejuvenation therapy. I reread the instructions just to make sure that I don't do anything I shouldn't do and I decide I'm going to test a very small area on the bottom of my jaw. I dab a little bit on and wait two minutes. I'm not feeling any pain so I went one more minute. Then I wipe it off with plain water. I decided to wait about half an hour before I made a decision. About a half an hour later, since I did not have any discomfort, I decided to test a little bit larger of an area. I applied about a 50-cent piece size on my cheek and jaw. I waited 3 minutes and wiped it off with plain water. I did not experience any discomfort or any burning sensation so I decided I would do my whole face and neck. The results were RIDICULOUS! It made my face look softer, cleaner, brighter!I wondered why I was so worried LOL. I received GOOPGLOW 5 Percent Glycol Acid Overnight Glow Peel–Light complimentary from GOOPGLOW in exchange for my honest opinion. Let's start with the good stuff. The biggest thing for me is that, because this product contains only 5 p/c glycolic acid, it is a much lighter, less irritating version of GOOPGLOW's similar product that has 15. That makes it a perfect way to enter the world of acid peels and chemical exfoliation without fear of burning your face off! Those of us with sensitive skin have to worry about stronger products causing painful damage, and then having to try to soothe the burn and cover the redness for days afterwards. There was no redness, no damage, no discomfort for me with this stuff. Maybe–MAYBE–a slight tingle at application, but that was it. Another great thing is how easy it is to use this product. Two-sided pads come presoaked with product, so all you have to do is open an envelope, remove the pad, slip your fingers inside it and glide the pad across your face, neck, and chest. Wait 15 minutes to apply your night moisturizer (skip other treatments) and go to bed. The product dries into your skin, so there's no mess on your sheets. I don't have any criticism of this product, though I would caution against expecting big immediate results. I had hoped to see beautiful glowy skin the following morning, but didn't really notice much difference. I do exfoliate pretty regularly using other chemical exfoliants, so maybe there was less dead, dull skin to remove in the first place. Ive been using a 7% glycolic product once a week for a few years now. I received a sample of the Goop 15% product with a Goop purchase I made. I have sensitive skin that reacts quickly to a product it does not like and leans toward dry if not highly moisturized regularly. I was hesitant to try a higher percentage glycolic product, but also very interested. I ran a test on my neck and had no issues, so I decided to try it on my face. I love these ingredients. I am an avid exfoliater (retinol, bha, aha, peels!) you name it and I use it. I don’t use these daily currently as I’m also using another product from this line that’s intense once a week. I just use this every few days for one minute and feel it pretty good without peeling. If you’re looking for some good peeling go to level two. I’m seeing less oil production and my usual congested spots haven’t popped up and I’m a month in. I love this and do use level two peel once a week or bi weekly, depending on what else I’m using in between. I am a regular acid user. I use these pads two to three times per week. I have seen amazing results over the past month. My main issues are clogged pores and blackheads. I have had stubborn blackheads and an abundance of clogged pores on my cheek and chin area for a few years…nothing else has worked. I tried multiple toners with 2% bha prior to this, but zero change, but I kept reading that bha was the way to go to solve my issue..so i bumped up the bha over about six months and started to see small changes…the black heads were still there, but smaller and less noticeable, fewer clogged pores. The recent change to this product with 15%bha has made an even greater difference..my skin is almost always clear and I have been getting compliments on it for the first time in my life. I leave the acid on my face for about 5 mins. I never peel, flake, or get dry. I drink 100 ounces of water a day. I also use Josie Maran argan milk. I will reorder again and again. Please peel responsibly and adjust your routine according to your skin is telling you. It took time for me to build up to using these products at this frequency. Follow up May, 2020. Still use this product religiously and never go without it. Skin is clear all the time now, even avoid hormonal breakouts. It was the answer to clogged pores. I've loved using chemical/acid peels for years. The only thing I've experienced with other brands is that the stinging is so bad it makes it somewhat painful. And getting out the cotton, putting on gloves, and applying it isn't very easy. These pads changes that. These remind me very much of Stridex pads. Same size, same thickness. Even the smell is similar. But they're not drying. And the solution they're soaked with goes on a little oily which is good because they don't dry the skin like other similar products. These are really easy to use. The directions say to leave the solution on for 2-5 minutes. I'm terrible at following directions (just ask my husband) and I always think "more is better" so I leave them on between one chore to the other. For example, I apply this and do my housework, or computer work, with no rush to remove it. On a scale of 1-10, I'd say the intensity of this is a 2. Very comfortable to leave on longer (for me) which I love. I love feeling this work. Because you can. When I'm done, I rinse with cool water and my skin is left clean and not too dry. I have a slight amount of rosacea and this doesn't irritate it. Frankly, I like this product even more than I anticipated. I'm a skeptic and wasn't sure what to expect but I like this product a lot. The first time I used the peel I used my AHA Intensifier from Skinceuticals and that was a mistake. Burned for about 30 minutes but skin looked great in the morning. The second time I used just the peel and my moisturizing cream from La Mer and it was so much better. It does really tingle for the first two minutes and then I was fine with just the cream. I've been reading some reviews about skin breaking out and rashes after using this product. That's actually a good thing. It's perfectly normal when you are using a glycolic acid peel that is 20% the breakout show that the product is actually working. it removes the top dead layer of the skin and brings all the crap underneath to the surface so you're pretty much unclogging your pores at a faster rate because this process speeds up cell turnover. I just used this product 2 days ago and my face has broken out horribly but in a few days a know I will be happy with the results and have clean pores. Please do some research on skin purging before you give up on a product this is a very common reaction to AHA's and retinol. To provide a full disclosure, this review is being written after using the product twice, four days apart. I know it will take several more uses to see benefit (or not). I feel like I am taking crazy pills! Most of the reviewers for this product say it made their skin smooth and clear and bright, and very quickly, too. I had the opposite experience. I've been using it for three weeks and see no positive changes in my skin. It stings a little when I apply it, and dries to a sticky/tacky feeling on my skin. It has caused redness, irritation, and pimples. I've tried using less of it, but wanted to use it regularly for three weeks to give it enough time to work in case my skin was just purging or acclimating to the new product. Well, it's caused tiny little bumps to break out wherever I use it, and none of my dark spots or fine lines look any different. My skin looks worse than when I started using it.DemureNinja
I'm loving this product so far! Its one of my new favorite and will be part of my face routine. I have been using this serum for at least three weeks now and results have been really amazing. My face feels a lot smoother, lighter and more glowing. My sunspots/darkspots are a lot lighter and my skintone is a lot more even. I notice a little improvement on my wrinkles. I use the serum day and night and also incorporate another moisturer cream from Loreal and results are great. The serum feels smoth and tacky at the same time when applying it to my face and I also feel a little tingle. It takes about a minute or two to dry. I love this serum because i think its affordable and I can easily find it at local grocery stores. This product works great on my skin, may not work on others, we all have different skin types and may react differently on others. Overall its a win for me. I am so happy that I started using the L'Oreal Paris revitalift derm intensives. I love how this serum feels on my skin. It absorbs very quickly and I really love that it helps even skin tone and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. The ingredients of this product is insane it has 10% pure glycolic acid which helps with skin concerns I also like that it has aloe to Sooth the skin especially after being all day in the Sun applying this at night just feel so cooling and refreshing. I keep my serum in the refrigerator so it always feels really good at the end of the day. I also really like that it doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy. Most peels sold on Ebay don't come with everything you need to do it at home and feel like a spa. This kit came with a peel prep to prep the skin, the glycolic acid, a neutralizer to stop the acid from penetrating the skin and then a hyaluronic serum to help heal and sooth the skin afterwards. I have combination skin and glycolic was recommended to me to reduce pores and fine lines and since this peel only had my skin light flaking and not huge peeling pieces I've repeated it every 2-3 weeks. I have gotten so many compliments on my skin and I notice such a difference I find myself leaving the house without any makeup on! Love it and will definitely buy again, the only downfall is I used the serum all up since it can be applied multiple times daily so I need to buy some extras.chekitowt954
