Goo Gone over & grill cleaner is easy to use, and does a very good job of cleaning grills and the interior of barbecues. It comes out of the sprayer as a foam which gradually turns into a liquid. You need to use lots of newspaper or a large sheet to set all the parts and pieces on. Very soiled areas will need a second application, and maybe some scraping.

While nothing cleans used grilling surfaces perfectly, this product does an excellent job. It is quite messy, though. You need a large area to work on the grates and scrub them. I rinse them off in an outdoor sink. I would use this product over and over as nothing I've used in over fifty years of grilling comes close to cleaning this effectively. I recently moved back into a home I had rented. I have a smoker/grill with the wide grates; this product worked okay, but if there is any grease on the grates it will quickly render this thing useless. It also leaves a powder on the grates that has to be rinsed off. It may work better on a regular grill, but I can't say with certainty. I will stick with the grill brush.srabeachy

While nothing cleans used grilling surfaces perfectly, this product does an excellent job. It is quite messy, though. You need a large area to work on the grates and scrub them. I rinse them off in an outdoor sink. I would use this product over and over as nothing I've used in over fifty years of grilling comes close to cleaning this effectively. I recently moved back into a home I had rented. Even after spraying and letting it sit for several hours it still took hot water and a steel wool type scrubber to get the grime off the stainless steel smoker plates from one cook. It's better than elbow grease alone, but still not as good as it could be. Perhaps really strong/effective products are now prohibited by EPA or some other government agency.Ombudsman

Well I thought this was going to totally clean my stainless steel grates…but it did not. I followed the directions, but it did not take off all of the charred food/drippings that were left on the grates after trying to clean it other ways. I used a fine steel wool to clean off the Off product, but it required too much muscle on my part to remove some of the gunk. I could chisel or pick it off, but that was too long a process. I ended up putting it back on the grill, heating it up, and using my grill scraper to scrap it off.Jaylo54
