I clean homes and business and I have used pretty much every cleaning product I've come across with many mixed results. All the products promise great results and not all of them deliver on said promise. The works line of cleaning products absolutely work wonders on lime, rust stains and nasty build up with little effort after application. I have cleaned some pretty rough bathtubs and sinks that had really bad stains from hard water or rust and after using other products the stains were mostly still there even After using a stiff brush and lots of work. I like that the works only needs to be sprayed on and let sit for a few minutes to dissolve the stains. It literally turns the rock hard build up to a slime that can be wiped or rinsed away. It is a very strong chemical smell, but it's worth using once in a while for when there is build up. I don't use it every time I clean but I use it every now and then to reduce the build up. The works also makes a toilet bowl cleaner that works the same. I have seen toilets and tubs so bad it seemed like there was no hope for ever removing all the stains and after the works they are totally free from the yucky stains. Most cleaning products can't remove hard water and lime scale like the works. The only draw back is the very strong smell and it's not pleasant but I can deal with it because it doesn't need to be used a lot and once every few weeks of use isn't bad. I hate scrubbing stains so this is great for me. Spray it on and leave the room for a few and wipe it away and the stains are gone. O wouldn't recommend standing over the product while it sits because it probably isn't good for the lungs! I don't mind using it but some people can't get past the smell but I think the stuff in it that smells bad is what works so well. You have to pick and choose your battles with cleaning products! It is easy to find in most stores and is very cheap and effective. I will never go back to scrubbing and breaking my back on stains.lindsey4488

**The Works Tub & Shower Cleaner **is one product that I really wanted to work. The manufacturer claims this product 'removes stubborn rust stains; mineral deposits and soap scum in the bathroom'. The 'unique formulation is suppose to work great on showers, tubs, sinks, stainless steel and shower doors.' I agree that The Works can do an adequate job on lightly soiled items. Our tub has always been difficult in removing the ring after bathing. I didn't need a cleanser for a light job. Have so many products that can acheive this. The Works also list a long list of precautions on the back of the label..such as but not limited to not mixing with bleach or other household chemicals. It is bad for your eyes and you must definitely keep out of reach of children. Being that this product did not acheive even mediocre results, I do not recommend. I will not be buying again. I first purchased the lemon verbena scent & did not care for it BUT it cleaned my porous tubs & showers (they're the builder grade insert kind) great! I've searched forever for something that would deep clean these surfaces! I have just about tried everything to get a deep clean w/o wearing my arms off in the process. With this I spray all over, use the 'rough' side of the sponge & let it sit while I clean the rest of the bathroom then rinse. I have noticed when I first started using it too that those really suborn stains wouldn't come out. So off the bat I was disappointed until someone had taken a shower, the dirt that was "stuck" gets rinsed away with that running water & the shower gets cleaned as you clean yourself! I'm going to keep it real. I don't clean my shower every week. It probably gets scrubbed every three or four weeks and by the time I clean it, it's in desperate need. I spray my tub and shower, let it soak ten minutes, and come back to wipe all the soap scum away. I don't need to scrub my tub. The spray does my dirty work. One of my favorite things about this spray, other than it working well, is the smell. My kids don't run away wanting a gas mask when this has been sprayed. We ordered this from another site but I found it on here! Yay!!!! Seriously never ever had such a great cleaner with absolutely no scrubbing. We use the lavender one only, but my husband didn't & never does trust natural cleaners until we got this! We'd tried sooo many products as when we moved into our home our shower was just gross! We tried everything even scrapping with a razor blade on our glass doors & ithey just wouldn't come clean as well as our shower had a film we just couldn't get off! My husband works in a rock quarry, and we have 6 kids…. no matter how hard I scrubbed, this didn't get everything cleaned. I've used this product for years. I've tried other brands but prefer the Scrubbing Bubbles. I have a water softener so I can't attest to rather it cuts through hard water grime easily but it works great on my bathroom sinks, counter tops and tub. It doesn't streak or leave any residue behind. I just spray and wipe to clean and sanitize. It leaves behind a fresh, non chemical smelling scent. I do have a complaint though. The can can get rusty on the bottom and from time to time I get one that doesn't spray correctly and have to return it to the store. Purchased this bathroom cleaner after seeing this YT video. In the video this cleaner had supposedly removed older and stubborn soap scum on glass shower door. I applied this cleaner all over my bathroom shower door and let it sit for 5 minutes. I then reapplied another layer and started scrubbing with my Clorox stick. Scrubbing bubbles did remove newer soap scum but did not remove the older stains. I am happy with how clean my shower ended up looking. Great product. Horrible bottle. The dispenser stops working if you pump out about 2-3 pumps of products. Then you have to wait about 30-45 seconds for it to start working again. Also, the shape of the bottle is hard to grip and its slippery. Packaging is an overall fail. Product does make cleaning bathtubs easy. Spray it on and I let it sit and sure enough, it was easy to clean. And without any bleach which is a great thing. There are four things that really impressed me about this product. First and foremost is how powerful a cleaner it is. Even though we live in the city, our water is very hard. I'm constantly cleaning hard water deposits off of my showerhead, and my previous cleaners never did a very good job. This product wiped out a good 90% of build up on my showerhead with just one application. Second, I love how thick the product is. Whether I put it on a horizontal or vertical surface it stayed where I put it. Other products would drip off my showerhead or my walls, leaving behind streaks and dirty spots. This spray stayed right where I put it! Third, I love how I can change the direction of the spray. Instead of having to turn the bottle, or my wrist, the directional spray cap takes care of this for me. Not only does it cut down on the amount of time it takes to clean, it makes cleaning a lot easier on me physically because I'm not straining. Last but not least, I am in love with the smell of this product. Cleaning small areas like shower enclosures can be very difficult when the harsh chemical smells build up. With other products I've had to spray and then leave mid cleaning just to get some fresh air, and this is with the fan running. With this product I don't have that issue at all. It leaves a nice pleasant scent behind and does not overwhelm you while you're using it. The rust drip stains from through holes did not come completely come off. The exhaust stains took 3 passes with rubbing but did come off. A little goes a long way. I really like BKF products, especially the powder cleaner, but the spray foam version is a close second. The foam is thick, stays put wherever you direct the spray, and like all BKF products, it gets to work immediately. It performs just like the powder, but obviously you get more bang for your buck with the powder form. The spray foam is about convenience and makes cleaning certain areas easier since the cleanser stays in place such as the sides of a tub. So I guess I like the spray version just as much as the powder, its just a "close second" since it is less product and slightly more expensive. I would recommend any BKF products!Elisa

I’ve been purchasing different products from bar keepers friend and this is the lowest rated that I’ve owned so far. It does indeed work but not as well as the non spray bottle or the can with just the powder that you mix yourself. The powder in the can is the best by far but you risk breathing in the dust that comes from it. I feel like the spray bottle would be good for minor work. The non spray bottle being the best of both worlds. More abrasive and no dust. The spray bottle seems to impede the grittiness that you can from the non spray bottle. I don’t normally write reviews on products but OMG! This is a GAME CHANGER!! I sprayed it on the grout of the bathroom tile which had visible mold and walked away from it while r cleaning the rest of the apartment. I circled back around about 20 ish mins after initial spray and it COMPLETELY REMOVED all mold! It just washed away. It gave new life to my tub! My husband said I should have taken before and after pictures because this was a see it to believe it kind of moment. I didn’t have to get down and scrub I simply rinsed and boom new tub. I'm a 65 yr old single man, I still get around good. But I have various breathing problems and really didn't want to clean my bathtub and tile. I was sure I would have breathing problems cause of it. I was like sure 100% removes scum…lol But to my wonderful surprise and amazement this Grime fighter does just that.. WOW !! It's my own fault I allowed my tube to get this way, but with this product I set out to clean the shower area. For someone that can be easily bothered by smells to my lungs, Scrubbing Bubbles Grime Fighter did not to that to me (I know not all will be effected the same). I don't write reviews often unless something really works and I chose to write this because this product does what it says it will do. Even more important that that the amount of hard work I had to put into rubbing as I clean was at a minimum, but of course you have to do some. I toothbrush or a fingernail brush works good on the grout, but Scrubbing Bubbles takes the hard work out of it. If you have lung or breathing issues but you still clean your place, give this a try. I don't know if I'd be willing to pay full price for it given that I can get a multi-pack of "scrubbing bubbles" at a wholesale outlet for about the same price. But it was definitely worth the "try it" price. It did a surprisingly good job cleaning our bathroom sinks which have decorative curves in them that make them a bit of a challenge to clean. I always like using foaming cleaner in my bathroom, I just find it cleans better. This product I was excited to try, but the spray nozzle just makes me hate it. I’ve used other brands of after shower spray, but non others smelled particularly good. I get this in the Ylang Ylang scent, and I couldn’t be happier. The scent is similar to a mild baby powder scent, and the smell projects quite a distance and last quite a while, but in a very pleasant way. I figured I’d be happy if this product helped keep scum down, but this product actually helps mildly clean! My shower has extreme hard-water buildup, that I’ve been trying to scrub out, but it’s happening in phases, because I just can’t scrub it all out in one cleaning. I’ve only had this product for a few days now, but so far I really like it. It comes in a big bottle of 828mls. The sprayer is really good and has a fine spray and does not spurt everywhere like some other cleaners. You can lock the sprayer which is handy for those who have kids around. It is highly scented, so if your not into that this product is not for you. The scent is exactly like wild rhubarb, a little tart and fruity and green.
