My mom's dog is 17 years old, blind and incontinent. All of the reviews that state this thing works are true. My teenagers were in charge of keeping the litterbox clean because we have two cats. They do an excellent job of keeping up with it in general. They did, however, become a touch sluggish over the break. The smell was so awful that I was practically retching by the time I smelled it from down the hall and told them to clean it. The damage had been done, even with the clean litter, and all I could smell was cat urine. So I came on here and read all the 5-star ratings and decided that even if it only functioned half as well as the reviews said, it would be a success. So when it arrived, I just opened the bottle and poured about a third of the liquid over our laminate floor and sprayed it on the walls surrounding the litterbox. I set it aside for an hour. However, even standing outside the room, we instantly saw a difference. I also brought the litterbox outside and sprayed it with this stuff, but I didn't let it sit, instead wiping it down with baby wipes. After an hour, I washed everything out, replaced the clean litterbox in the room, and went outside to clear my nose to see if I could smell cat urine. I couldn't smell it. My children couldn't either. I invited my MOTHER (who despises cats and is a stickler for cleanliness) over for the grand verdict, and asked her to smell not only the house, but the room as well. She was taken aback by the fact that she couldn't smell anything, and she actually stated it smelled GOOD! It does have a light herbal aroma to it that isn't bad. In the process of trying to get him quarantined and deal with the smell, my clothes were saturated with the awful stink. I thought it would be worth trying this product on the horrific smell. I mopped with the Urine Destroyer diluted strong in water so house smells good again. I then soaked my clothes and the dog bedding for abut an hour in a bucket with laundry soap and a couple cups of the Urine Destroyer. The smell is gone! I wanted to make sure I gave it a chance before I wrote my review. My cat peed on my bed and it got thru my blanket, sheet, mattress topper and it got on my mattress. I washed everything else a few times and that took care of the smell on all of that but I couldn’t get the pee away from my mattress. It smelled at night and I couldn’t fall asleep and I tried every pet stain remover we had in our house. So I decided no harm in trying this… I used it for two days. Sprayed really close to the mattress and let it soak. Then I took a damp rag and scrubbed and did that about twice. Omg!!! I’m impressed! My son and puppy marked their territory in a couple places in the house and we could never get the smell out. It was embarrassing and we haven’t had anybody over because of it. My cat had missed her box in a storage room and as I tried to clean it up it spread underneath various storage containers. I washed the vinyl floor with vinegar and water twice without success. The maintenance person suggested this product. After taking everything out of the room I sprayed it heavily an d left it for 15 minutes and then dried it. I have a cat that my vet calls "the weirdest cat she's ever seen" in her 20 years of practice. Every three years, like clockwork, he has an episode that ends up with him peeing on the bed. This time it was so bad it actually soaked through the mattress protector. I had used the previous iteration of this product the last episode, and so tried this "new" version. Yes, when you open the bottle is smelled horrific. I literally gagged. But I had to get the urine out somehow so I took a chance. I discovered that once you pour it (in my case saturate the area on the mattress), something with the oxidation makes it smell like regular cleaner. It's strong at first, but then fades away. One thing I did differently this time that seemed to make the product work better is to follow their suggestion and after saturation, cover the area with a damp towel. Most importantly, it pulled out all the urine from my mattress and got rid of the smell. It does leave a little discoloration when poured on directly, but that doesn't bother me for the mattress. I also added it to the wash for the sheets/comforter, and it got the pee smell out and there wasn't any discoloration.kadc

We've tried many pet stain removers and this is the best. It removes the spot and leaves no residue if the directions are followed as written. We've used it on carpets, bedspreads, furniture, vinyl and concrete and the results are always good. The rest of our community must agree, because sometimes it's hard to find it in the stores. Env: development Having a household of dogs, ferrets, guinea pigs and rats can be tough when it comes to accidents on the carpeting. If you catch it as soon as it happens you can clean most of it up with a wet paper towel but if you end up with something that has been sitting around for a couple of days or weeks you might not be able to get all of the smell out of the carpeting. I use this on the carpeted areas in the house to remove urine stains; it works great for small to medium sized accidents but for larger stains you are probably going to get better results with a carpet cleaner or machine. This is not a training product to deter pets from urinating in the house but it is safe to use on carpeting and wood flooring if you spot-check the areas. The 22 ounce bottles last me about five months of average use. I like the trigger spray feature on the nozzle and that there is no over-spray from it when you are applying it. I don't pick up on a scent to this but some people have said that they detected a slight chemical scent when it was used on a combination accident (urine and feces). This can be a little hard to find in some retail stores; Target is the one store that I know will always have it in stock and even though it costs a little more than other urine cleaning products, it is something that I know is going to work effectively. Our dog had an accident on the carpet. Our bottle of Nature's Miracle was very old and didn't work anymore so I ran to Petco because we had great luck with this product 7 years ago when our dog was a puppy. I didn't realize they had reformulated it and it has a very strong perfume scent that does not go away. Furthermore it didn't remove the urine scent and I had to use a different product. I applied it a week ago and my entire house smells as strong as it did the day I used it. I have had a migraine for the last week because of it. All the windows are open and fans running. I have 2 dogs and have used furry freshness on dog urine, vomit, and poop stains on our rug and bed and love how it works to remove odor and leave behind no frangrance or odors. I’m so happy to have found a product that removes odors and stains so well. Just spray to saturate and let it dry. When I used this product to get pet stains out of the carpet, I remember at first it worked good, but then after awhile the stains would slowly creep back in, even if it looked like they were gone after following the instructions. So I did not really like this product as much as I wanted to cuz the product did not get rid of the stains, just made them go away for a little while before they would end up coming back. It would work on the newer, not as deep stains, but the deep stains that were maybe a little more set in, this product did not work as good as I wanted it to. Bissell Is usually the brand to go to for pet stains, so I was a little disappointed it didn’t work as much as I wanted it to.

Don't know how I managed without this product, before. I have been using this for almost a year now for times when my dog can't get out (really severe weather) and misses the wee-wee pad (which does happen on occassion). If it is solid matter, I just pick it up with toilet paper, wipe the spot gently with a paper towel to remove any excess material, then spray the area and wait a few minutes. I wipe afterward with more paper towels and — all better, no oder, no stain. If it is urine, I usually use enough towels to blot it up first, then spray liberally, wait a few minutes and blot away! Directions 1)Before using, test surfaces to be treated for color fastness by applying to a hidden area; wait five minutes then wipe with cloth. If color is removed from the test area, do not use Nature's Miracle Oxy Formula on those surfaces. 2) Always use Nature's Miracle Oxy Formula full strength. 3)Always use Nature's Miracle Oxy Formula first! Other cleaners and detergents may fail and chemically set stains that will be impossible to remove. 4) Shake well before using. For Stain Removal: 1)Wipe up as much of stain as possible, then thoroughly soak stain with Nature's Miracle Oxy formula. 2) Wait five minutes, then wipe away stain with a cloth. 3) While treated areas dry, keep pets away. For tough stains, use a stiff bristle brush. If stain is not completely removed, re-soak area and allow Nature's Miracle Oxy Formula to work for one hour, then wipe stain with a cloth. For Odor Elimination: 1) Wipe up excess odor-causing material, then thoroughly soak area with Nature's Miracle Oxy Formula. 2)Wait five minutes, then blot dry with a cloth. Allow to dry completely before expecting complete odor elimination. 3) While treated areas dry, keep pets away. For tough odors in carpets (eg urine) apply enough to reach all odor-causing material. This may mean lifting carpet and applying directly to the pad and floor. Wait one hour, then blot dry. Allow treated area to air dry completely before expecting complete odor elimination. For Laundry Use: Saturate stain and odor areas with Nature's Miracle Oxy Formula at full strength before washing. Then, wash as usual.

A friend bought this for us so I'm not sure I would have purchased it myself. There are some homemade remedies online that might work as well but don't smell as nice. I had a large amount of cat urine on two very expensive oriental rugs. I used the product as directed, poured one entire bottle on each rug. The both rugs had a very strong perfume smell which dissipated after a couple of weeks. If you get your nose down to the carpet now (one month later) you can still smell the perfume but there is no odor of cat urine. The room does not smell perfume like. I have used this forever it's great!!! I would recommend to anyone. I can not stress enough not to use regular household cleaners. If you do it will make your house smell. If you use regular cleaner and use this on top of it. It will have an off smell for awhile. But keep using it. It will let up after while. Alot of people think household cleaners will work.
