Use a medium course brush or broom with narrow head and long handle. That will scrub the oxidation and remove any other crud. A coarse bristle will risk damage, and a large head will snag on roof equipment and fixtures. Two bottles allowed two passes on my 34’ camper roof. Removed about 80% of oxidation using a car style wash brush (yes, too soft but head size and handle length were excellent) with extension handle. Poured cleaner right out of the bottle. After one application, mixed in a greater concentration than directed, I could not see much of a change. I thought I had wasted my money and time. I tried a second application. I purchased this product a couple of weeks ago to put on my brand new Montana fifth wheel.Even though the coach was new I went ahead and washed the roof with a soft brush and auto detailing soap, rinsed it well. Let if dry for 24 hours in 80 degree temps. Using a soft sponge applied a coat over the entire roof, after three days of 80-85 degree temps we had a rain storm, to my surprise I was shocked to see all of the coach rain gutters spewing white rubber roof treatment onto the asphalt. I've tried most of what's available to tackle this job, and this is the only one I'd recommend. You should check your caulking at least a few times a season and check the corners of your roof after EVERY tow as this is where most flex happens. For cleaning, a portable power washer with a 20 nozzle is king, don't bother with chemicals and scrubbing. This stuff is the final step. I apply it by hand, wearing rubber gloves. Just pour a tiny bit out and spread it around, that easy. (Don't forget the roof edges leading into the gutters.) It leaves a nice protective layer and reflective sheen that nothing else provides. It really cuts down on any sort of accumulation on the roof, which means it's easier to clean and you get less black streaks.L.

Not sure how this is gonna do much. Time will tell. I just applied it and it seems much (and even smells similar to) like Amorall. If it protects against sun, UV, weather damage, or keeping it cleaner, how will I know? That type of damage is so slow that I won't know for years. I'm giving this purchase a 5-star rating, not on its quality, but on its ingenuity. Using this product, a person doesn't have to climb up on a roof to use it, since a person can attach a hose to spray nearly 30 ft., from below depending on water pressure. Time will tell if the product works, but since I used the company's prior version by getting up on the roof with a hand sprayer, I suspect this one will work too. The product claims to be able to cover 2000 Sq. Ft. per bottle. I did not find that to be the case. I might have been able to get about 1250 Sq.Ft. per bottle. So when I made my purchase, I bought an original spray bottle and two refill bottles. The refill bottles are also 48 oz. I wound up using 1-1/2 bottles on my home roof project, only on the back side of the roof, away from the sun, that I experience some moss growing every two years or so.anonymous

Our trailer is a year old and this is the first time for me to clean/treat the roof. Left mold spots. You can see them if you zoom in on the picture. Did great at cleaning the dirt and all the plastic elements. Next time I will try getting a rag to try and remove the molding spots. I used the same brush when cleaning the sides.
