I was on the hunt for a great face cleanser for my husband, prior to this he switched from Clinique to Lab Series and he just wasn't a fan, therefore he wasn't really using the product. So after much research and reading countless rave reviews on this product, I was so relieved and impressed when I got him to switch and he also really enjoys using this cleanser. So much so that I got curious and tried it myself. It's a great, simple cleanser that does the job. I can see why my husband likes it. He's struggled with sensitive skin and breaks out of any excess oil on this skin, but then using some of the products either dried out his skin and stripped off any moisture from his face, I mean, the struggle was real. I received a bottle of this cleanser in a goody bag and wasn’t sure from the description that it’d be for me – reading through the ingredients & actives, it definitely sounds like it’s for oilier skins that need a deep cleanse & can take more robust ingredients. I was therefore slightly wary about using this cleanser on my combination/ dry skin. I was very pleasantly surprised though – using this for a morning cleanse, my skin has never felt stripped, dry or tight, just lovely & clean. The peppermint gives a cooling, tingling sensation that takes a bit of getting used to, but the apple acids have definitely improved the texture of my skin across the whole T-zone area (ie nose, chin & forehead). I feel it does clear out the pores and removes makeup fairly well but i also noticed a slimy feel after washing off. I purchased this cleanser based on the reviews and needing an am cleanser or one for the shower. This is very pleasant to use. Smells lovely, works brilliantly and I can’t complain at all. I was writing because I have been a long time customer of this product. After having so many issues in high school and going through subscriptions of Proactive, this product was my saving grace and has done miracles on my skin for the last 15-20 years. After my last bottle was done, I was excited to see that you carried a new, larger size. My excitement quickly faded after using the product and noticed the formula wasn'tthe same….it was runny, felt like slime on my face, smelt like chemical (even though it said fragrance free), my face is completely oily and I am having breakouts like I'm back in High school (and I'm 39!). I am beyond frustrated and feel let down. I use your products for all things skin, including my 1 daughter with eczema. Is there anything you can do with this product? Continue selling old formula? I would rather spend extra on old formula than spend another cent on thos new formula.

I really like this face wash because unlike other popular gentle foaming face washes, it actually foams up and feels like it’s cleaning. It truly is fragrance-free. The pump is functional and the packaging is nice, neutral, and sturdy. I feel like it’s an excellent value as well. I wouldn’t mind if it did have a nice scent though, while of course still being free of nasty phthalates and chemicals in random fragrances. A little scent goes a long way in making face washing feel like pampering 🙂 Overall, I’d highly recommend this to anyone looking for a gentle face wash, and I’ve tried quite a few in the past.

I received this product for free from pinchme. It is a foaming face wash and fragrance free. I absolutely love that it is free from sulfates, parabans and oil free. It doesn't leave that dry feeling you get when using a cleanser. I have been using this both morning and night. It leaves my skin feeling soft and clean. I love the size because I know this is going to last for a long time. I usually only use a half pump and only takes a little water to lather into a foam. It contains aloe, niacinamide and salicylic acid, just to name a few of the ingredients. I noticed a lot of people who had bad experiences said it did strip their skin and dry them out, so I was highly leery. However, it was cheap at the time of checking out, so I acquired it. It's definitely an improvement to some old Senka Perfect Whip cleanser I had that didn't really wow me. My skin is dry and prone to dehydration and subsequent comedones. I live in an arid climate with pollution issues (Southern California). Because of the critical reviews of this product, I only use a gentle wet konjac sponge to make it foam up, and only use an amount around the size recommended for toothpaste. This suprisingly does not make my eyes sting, which is a major plus! My first cleanser is Kose Softymo's Deep Cleansing Oil. These two products help remove even the most cement-like mascara without ripping out my eyelashes, for another plus (Cement-like mascaras I have used so far include Heroine Make Long and Curl Super Waterproof and Etude's Lash Perm Curl Fix). This cleanser is also quite versatile due to its tea tree oil. TMI warning, I know someone who had a fungal annoyance due to being a sweaty-footed enthusiast for contact sports, which is a hobby where I've noticed some unhygienic men bond over their swamp butt and athlete's foot… and he washed his queso fresco-smelling feet with this stuff daily for a week, then never had an issue again. I also have used this to refresh my scalp on really hot days, and it helps clarify buildup from shampoos containing coconut derivatives! I love this dang cleanser. I’ve used this a few times since purchasing and I really think it has helped my skin! I’ve used it on it’s own and as a second step in a double cleanse. Works really well either way! It smells a little citrusy which I do enjoy. It comes out as a clear gel and it creates a silky foam that feels super gentle on the skin. I was worried it would be harsh given the citrusy smell but it really feels gentle and leaves my skin feeling clean. I didn’t find it stripping but I have oily skin. I don’t feel that it added any moisture but it does the trick if you want a good clean feeling! Size is big enough that this will last me at least 4-6 months with daily use. I have used this for years and found out in 2019 it had been discontinued. That year I was in the Middle East and Asia but could not track any down. I was fortunate to have a few spare but did go through a 6 month period without and was forced to try alternatives, both BB and other brands. Nothing compared. Last year I saw it was available on BB's website and ordered a few but when I went back into reorder, it was out of stock !!! It takes time to get used to the weird, herb smell but only a second to fall in love with the oil. I have quite oily skin but my skin chapped after exfoliating in winter. Nothing helped until I found this oil. Only two times of makeup removing with it, I got back my healthy look and even better balanced skin. The blackhead is much less, the surface is very smooth, and my face is luminous without being too oily. I also use this oil to spot clean my natural hair foundation brushes. I love this product!NWang
I have tried dozens of oil cleaners and this is the BEST. Years ago I got a travel size as a gift with purchase and truly so impressed. I don't understand why this product doesn't get more hype?!?!? Well… if it cost less I would buy it way more often. This is an oil cleanser that feels like it rinses off with just water and doesn't need a second face wash to get rid of residue. It removes heavy eye makeup really well without needing to heavily rub or wipe the eyes. I think this product deserves more praise like some other reviews say! I do 1-2 pumps and massage it all over my face for maybe 20 seconds and it rinses off clean and skin feels greatilashes

I had heard about Saturday Skin recently, so I gave it a try and added it to my summer Fab Fit Fun box. I’m really wishing I would have ordered more than one! This cleanser is absolutely amazing! It’s a cream cleanser, that had an amazing lather. (A little goes a long way!) it’s so easy to cleanse all my face and neck with Saturday Skin Rise + Shine purifying cleanser and my PMD Clean. I can see the cleanser easily. My fave feels so soft and clean once I’m done cleansing with this. It also has a very beautiful sweet but almost citrus smell. Saturday Skin Rise + Shine Gentle Cleanser I recieved this product complimentary in the Saturday Skin Voxbox from Influenster. I've been testing this face wash out for about a month now, I wanted to use it for awhile before I gave my honest opinion. This is a good face wash, but the reason I only gave it 3 stars is because after I would use it my skin would feel very tight, and really dry feeling. Now I have combination skin, I get really oily in my t-zone, and even though my t-zone gets really oily I also get really dry on my nose, which doesn't make sense to me. I also get really dry on my cheeks, and my jawline. Since I do get pretty oily I usually do like to use an oil controlling face wash to help with it, but even those don't make my face feel as dry as this face wash did. Other than the fact of it making my skin feel dry it did work well as far as cleaning my face. My skin would definitely feel clean after I would use it, and it worked well getting my makeup off as well. I do also have acne prone skin, so some face washes will irritate my skin, and make me break out, but this didn't cause any issues. I definitely won't' be purchasing this product when I run out, but I do recommend buying it. It definitely works well cleaning your skin, and everyone has different skin, so it might not make other people's skin feel dry like it did mine. Another thing I did like about this product is the packaging, the colors and design on the box is really pretty, and I like the pink squeeze bottle.ashley.c
I have been testing this cleanser out for about two weeks now. My skin is normal-to-dry with not a lot of textural issues or senstivity. I like simple cleansers that don't strip my skin and don't have fragrance. Thankfully, this cleanser is formulated without parabens, sulfates, and artifical fragrance. The cleanser is thick and creamy and lathers well. It's not really that foamy which I prefer. I would definitely give this a 4.5 if I could. I like to double-cleanse and I used this two ways: with my hands after my oil-based cleanser and with a Clarisonic after an oil-based cleanser. This cleanser worked well both ways. My skin felt clean without being stripped and tight and no residue left behind. I made sure by waiting for about 10 minutes before I continued the rest of my skin care. The only time I experienced any issues of sensitivity with this cleanser was when I had a cold and my nose was pretty raw. It did sting quite a bit. I used my other cleanser the next two days (First Aid Beauty Facial Cleanser) and experienced no burning. After using it for about two weeks, my skin is still relatively clear and I have no random breakouts. It does have Stearic Acid which helps protect skin against water loss and Lauric Acid which helps moisturize and has anti-microbial properties which I like. However, I've noticed there is a lot of fruit oils in it and believe that some people have sensitivity to those types of oils, and I believe this is what caused my nose to sting. So, I don't believe this cleanser is for everyone. The price point isn't bad at all. For $26 USD you get 4 fl oz and it has benefical properties. Overall, I'm happy with this cleanser and I would definitely consider repurchasing it and would recommend it to others as long as you aren't super sensitive to the oils in this cleanser. This lathers so wonderfully. The directions for use say use a generous amount but I find that less than a dime sized squeeze is plenty. The tea tree in this smells great without being overbearing. I don’t feel like my skin has that tight sensation after washing and it doesn’t react with any toner I’ve used after it. It rinses well and my skin feels and looks so much brighter and more awake after using it. Will definitely be purchasing again!

The texture is jelly-like but smith and viscous. The fragrance is sweet, honey/blossom like. I’m sensitive to fragrances, but it’s very mild. The product seems to interact well with my skin. My face felt clean and plump. However, the main problem I have is the jar container. There’s no scoop. It’s soft jell-o like consistency is finicky to pick up, but you also risk contamination. I find myself reaching for one of my other pump or tube cleansers every time just for that reason. I would recommend or consider buying it again, but with reservation.mavenmom

I can't describe well the effect this cleanser had in such a short time. I hadn't been in a facial since summer had started, and this cleanser had managed to remove a great deal of dead skin off my face. I have been using facial scrubs that does not have the same effect as this cleanser. It has no scent, it's super easy to use, just be aware of spilling too much product when used, since it has no pump, and the liquid can spill easily. It has a consistency of something between water and gel, so it is a bit tricky to pour the exact amount of product out in the first use. I love this 3 in 1 balm. It takes my sunscreen and makeup all off and majority of my waterproof mascara off. It doesn't remove all of it but I always do the two cleanse method and it removes the residue left behind. Not a big deal for me. It does not have a scent at all. I like it how melts beautifully and rinses off without the oiliness that some face balms leave. It moisturizes well also. It does not strip my face either. I have also learned that because of the thin texture and glides well, that I can actually use this balm for a few minutes on my face as my oil pull cleansing method and it pulls whiteheads and blackheads out with no problem. For the size of 3.38 oz for under $20, I recommend this to anyone. It also comes with a clear cover tray and tiny spatula to place on the rim of the container. I really wanted to love this cleansing balm. I typically use The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser – which has its own pros and cons. Clean it over all works, but caused too many issues to be worth it. Pro: Hygienic scoop packaged with the jar Removes 80-90% of my make up Skin feels soft Cons: Product is in a jar – not the easiest application, but I made it work Not for acne prone skin – I broke out with cystic acne on my jaw and cheeks. I do get the occasional break out, but never cystic (which is very painful). It's been two weeks since I stopped using it, and I'm just healing. Left residue on skin – I think this contributed to the acne. I usually do a double cleansing, starting with a balm to remove my make up. This does a good enough job, takes 80-90% of my make up, but the issue is that the second cleanser doesn't take off all the oily residue from the balm. It's scented a bit – it's not terrible, but it can cause irritation for some. Obviously, you're not supposed to get it in your eyes, however that's not reality when you're removing eye make up. Good news is that when the inevitable happens, it doesn't sting. Bad news is the fact that the balm clouds your vision for a fair amount of time. Flushing the eyes does not help. I'm not super comfortable with it. I used 3/4 of the jar and I tossed the rest. For now I'll stick to The Ordinary until I find something better.Cookie

The Balm spreads easily and melts into a silky oil when gliding it across the skin. I let it sit for about 30 seconds and watch it break down and literally melt my makeup and sunscreen off. Once water is added the oil emulsifies into a milky liquid. I was surprised how well this emulsifies. This was the first balm I had ever tried and I still find myself going back to it. It removes dirt, makeup and sunscreen well. Only issue I’ve had when it comes to the makeup is getting mascara completely off. I love that it doesn’t strip my skin or leave it feeling tight or dry. I bought also recently some go pute retinol cream and retinal serum . I wore a mask for 8 hrs a day and developed some nasty acne . I then switch to the go pure vitamin C products and had to continue to ware a mask and totally cleared up the acne . Now I only use the vitamin C pure product. And my skin looks and feels much better . Perhaps I was not a good candidate for the retinol but I blame it on the mask as my nurses college are experiencing acne from waring mask also . I only got the acne waring a mask with the retinol line. Now all is well with the vitamin C product with or with out the maskfrance e.
I love this cleanser. I use it every night. This has help my complexion and the acne I use to get I no longer do. What I loved the most is the quality and price. However I recently placed an order on 11/28/21 and received it yesterday. When I placed the order I was ordering the original packaging where the bottle was a 6 oz bottle. But for some reason I received this new packaging of 4.3 oz. I wish I could have received what I was ordering before they decided to change the packaging. I will continue to buy because I love the product; however I believe they should have kept the original bottle, and if your now selling less quantity at least adjust the price. I just started using the Vitamin C cleanser, even though I started with the Actives serums about 2 months ago. I've been seeing good results with them, and started with the cleanser to be using the whole line together. I wear IT Cosmetics CC+ foundation and it provides medium coverage. Usually I have to take it off with something else, and then cleanse my skin. Tonight I tried using the Vitamin C cleanser without taking off my foundation first. This cleanser took off 99% of my makeup (foundation and mascara) with using it on a washcloth. I followed it with my usual follow-up of micellar water on cotton pads. Hardly a trace of makeup left on my face at all! That's better than using a makeup remover for an all day foundation, cleaning my face with another cleanser and then, micellar water on pads! My face was soft and no stripped feeling. The price is very reasonable for this cleanser, considering that for me it's taking the place of 3 different products. I was reading somewhere that dry skin shouldnt use foaming cleanser. Im not so sure. I agree. My skin is normally dry. Im 61 years old. I moisture & hydrate my skin constantly to combat the dryness & Im successful at this. I purchase most of my skin care here, at Sokoglam & another K Beauty website. Since switching to clean skin care & using K Beauty skin care, the dryness is gone. I used this Soon Jung 6.5 whipped cleanser once before then when I went back to reorder, I couldnt find it. It seems the product was under reformulation and is now restocked. The reformulation description is on the product page. Im not sure how the product could have needed to be better, but, I here to repurchase another bottle. The bottle lasts & lasts. Just 2 pumps from the vaccume sealed pump container cleanses off my cleansing balm & any remaining grime. My skin is not tight or dry. Supple & left feeling hydrated. I highly recommend.
I really enjoy cleansers that come out as foam, they are easy to use and wash off. This cleanser from Etude has few ingredients, and panthenol is high on the list, which is really good for sensitive skin. While it cleanses well, it is also moisturising and doesn't leave a film like most cream cleansers do. I am able to use it two times a day and it doesn't strip my skin at all. My skin is already calmer and I have few breakouts after a week of use. I have combo skin, but I would recommend this cleanser for all skin types, especially sensitive. I have used a variety of different cleansers: from horribly drying "acne" microbead scrubs to no-rinse cleansing lotions to your standard pharmacy no-foam cleanser. I was, honestly, extremely skeptical that a foaming cleanser could truly be gentle, especially for my tretinoin-ravaged skin, but based on the glowing testimonials I heard not only from this website, but also my favorite influencers and beauty communities, I decided to give it a shot, especially since it costs so little (relatively speaking). I'm glad I did! This has quickly become my go-to cleanser, to the point that I've repurposed my original cleanser (a previous holy grail product) to clean my neck and intimate areas. I only cleanse my skin once a day, because as with all prescription acne medications, tretinoin tends to dry my skin quite a bit. I've found that after doing my first cleanse, all I need is one pump of this cleanser to get rid of all the residue left. Although it doesn't leave a "hydrating" film, like some other gentle cleansers, and this can lead the face to feel dry when you're running your fingers over it when it is still wet, once dried, the magic of this cleanser shines- almost all of my essential skin lipids are intact! Even though it may feel "dry" to my fingers, my face never feels tight or dry, even when it is wet. Furthermore, this is the only cleanser that I've used in which my skin is perfectly comfortable for up to an hour without any other step after (not even toner), although I do tend to avoid doing that for obvious reasons. If you're in the market for a new cleanser, I could not recommend this one highly enough!

I have super sensitive and dryer skin so had no interest in this until I met my partner (a mechanic) during a pandemic where wearing masks is a must. The combination of masking up in public and sometimes kissing my partner while he still has oil on his face after work has resulted in spots around my mouth and chin, I also suffer from stye's around my eye when stressed and this product helps to clear all of those issues when they arise. It is hard to wash off if you wash your face over the sink (despite having no SLS this is one foamy cleanser) and can sting sensitive eyes. As I do have dryer skin and a few fine lines I find this too drying to use twice a day with other active ingredients, such as retinol or Vitamin C, so only use this once a day after removing my make up with an oil-based cleanser (I use the Cerave creamy cleanser AM). I now would not be without this cleanser and keep a bottle at home and at my partner's house so that I am never caught short. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has suddenly started to get pandemic breakouts or who works in a dirty environment and wants that extra deep cleanse at the end of a day.Adele
These were bought on the 3 for 2 offer as pretty much a last resort. I’ve always had acne prone skin, but now with the mask wearing it has been the worst! I’ve literally tried so many different things and none of them worked. They with made my skin too dry or more spotty! A friend recommended these products but I thought it would be a gimmick as she has beautiful skin, but after just under a week I can feel the difference already. Skin is smoother and less bumpy. No new break outs as of yet and old ones seem to be healing up. If this is the results off one week then I can’t wait to see what my skin will look like in a few more. I’d recommend the moisturisers too. I use the facial one in the morning g as a base for make up and the larger smoothing one for night time which my thirsty skin thanks me for! Having read numerous amazing reviews for this product on several sites, I decided it may be just the thing to get rid of red bumps, small spots and generally rough, bumpy skin on my face and body. Considering the price and the great ingredients in this product such as the Salicylic Acid, Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinamide, I was sure it would work and had heard great things about these ingredients. The product was fine for the first few uses, nothing really happened e.g. no skin improvement, no worsening. After more uses my face started getting really itchy bumps and spots on my cheeks as well as loads of little spots on my forehead, nothing majorly bad but worse than it was before. I know this can sometimes be a purge period but I gave it a few weeks and things just keep getting worse so I've decided to stop using. May be fine for others but just wasn't for me, I've now reverted back to my trusty Dove bar soap which seems to work wonders whilst I search for a different Salicylic acid product.gemma9

My holy grail I found this product through youtube rave and Im usually not one to want to go with the trends because many products are often overhyped in my opinion. I saw that kathleenlights used this and we share several of the same problems with our skin dry, redness, etc. She said that it was not harsh on her sensitive skin and helped with the dryness. I ordered it online and was so excited for it to come in. So happy i made this purchase. One of the best purchases of 2015 for me. My skin is sooo sensitive and so many products make me break out, but not this one. I simply soak it onto a cotton round and use it to remove makeup or to just clean and refresh while gently moisturizing my face. I notice after i use this, my face feels really soft. It is not at all harsh because its been near my eyes and it does not burn. It has a very light, fresh clean smell. I use it to remove makeup, wash my face, apply toner, then moisturize. This has made my skin significantly healthier looking and doesnt strip my skin of its nutrients and helps balance out oiliness and keeps my face looking smooth. This is great for my sensitiverosaceaacne skin. It doesnt sting my overly sensitive eyes like many other micellar waters and more importantly it doesnt leave a residue. I personally only use this at night and always follow up with a proper cleanser, but I would happy use this in a pinch if I had no access to water. I had put off trying this due to the cost, but having tried several micellar waters from other brands this IS the best and I can see why it is so popular. I appreciate Bioderma also has different waters for different skin types, but honestly its just marketing. This will work fine for everyone. Im not sure how great it performs to remove heavy make up, as I dont wear a lot, but it nicely removes my mineral sunscreen and mascara with little effort. I ended up liking this better than , which I didn't expect. The ingredients in that one interested me more, but in terms of actual daily use, I found this one more effective. That said, there are other cleansers I still like a lot better, for example Tatcha and AmorePacific. I know those are more expensive than this, but this one also isn't super cheap and I'd rather get better results. The gel-like texture for this cleanser felt too thick for me. For cleanser gels, I prefer ones like Youth to the People Superfood, not ones that feel like they're so thick it requires vigorous application in order to get a good lather from it. This one helped with my acne somewhat, but not enough to keep using. It also seemed to leave a bit more of a film on my skin at the end of washing my face.
Finally I have found a cleanser for my supper dry and sensitive skin this winter! This cleanser is what I wanted the like 5 cleansers I tried this winter before it to be. It's creamy and thick, very soothing on my skin which is feeling better. It lathers well and a little goes a long way. It does smell like fragrance free cleanser, but that's fine better that than a scent. Sorry as usual I know it says it's a makeup remover, but I don't know how effective just this product is at removing makeup on its own I only wear minimal makeup and I use micellar water before this and that seems perfect. I will say it says it's for all skin types but while it's gentle enough I don't know if I would use it if I had oily skin or combo skin more on the oily side. This might be my winter cleanser, have to see in summer. But I've been using it almost a week and I haven't broken out and it hasn't clogged my pores.
Pleasantly surprised by how effective this cleanser is while still being mild enough for when I’ve got a rough situation with my very sensitive yet acne-prone skin. I actually felt unimpressed with this product at first but inadvertently over-exfoliated my face one day and needed a super mild cleanser. This came to the rescue and I’ve been using it ever since! My only complaint is the smell. Yuck! It SMELLS “chemical-y” like it’s got tile cleaning agents in it or something. I know it does NOT have those types of ingredients but smelling like it is awful enough on its own. I'm a skin junkie and veteran when it comes to maintaining my skin barrier while also regularly using retinol, acids ect. and its been a few years since I last made that mistake. so I'm not sure why when I began to use this product consistently she burned and stung my face giving me raw skin. I had always reached for her every then and again when I wanted to use a gentle cleanser and I have never had a problem. yet when I began to use it day and night only I saw the first warning signs of slight burning the day before and dismissed it. well tonight I could barely rinse it off. it burned and made my face and made it feel tender. unfortunately that will be the last time I use it too. this does make my face feel very clean but often dry afterwards (i use tretinoin most nights though so my skin is already easily stripped), it’s never made me breakout and has kept any acne from flaring up. a little goes a long way, literally a pea sized drop will lather your whole face (not if you’re wearing eye makeup though). it is an amazing cleanser to use after getting sweaty or dirty and that’s the best thing i have to say. i use waterproof mascara and this does remove it but i have to rub too much for my liking, and sometimes it makes my eyelashes clump together if i don’t use enough. my under eyes are irritated from the friction and it always feels like there’s some mascara left behind, i can’t rub my eyes without feeling like i’m tugging on my lashes. it gets the makeup off, but not before it dries out my eyelashes and under eyes from having to rub so much. i use banila cleansing balm mainly for my eyes, then i double cleanse with this after just to use it up. i won’t be buying again though, pyunkang yul’s low ph deep pore cleansing foam is my holy grail and i’ll be sticking to that. i bought it off ohlolly for like $14 and removes my waterproof mascara just as well as banila’s balm does, and it’s even better because it doesn’t leave my eyes foggy like the banila balm. definitely try pyunkang yul or even banila over this if you’re looking for a waterproof makeup remover and cleanser that is truly gentle.heyhannie

I am an AA man w/ combo/ normal (winter/ fall) and combo/oily (spring/summer) skin. The constant issue for me has been finding a product that cleanses my skin without stripping it. I have tried all the fads. I’ve even tried oil cleansing – which offers quite the paradox. Cleansing oily skin with ‘sounds’ crazy but it actually works quite well (if done in moderation). Upon reading it, I saw that TWO essential products that work best for my combo skin are 1) salicylic acid and 2) witch hazel. Then there was the sage component. I knew from my readings that Sage is chock full of antioxidants which can help reverse the signs of aging. It helps with wrinkles and fine lines. The anti-inflammatory properties of sage work wonders against stubborn acne. Other inflammatory skin blemishes, such as eczema and psoriasis, can also benefit from the use of sage. Regarding oily skin, sage is a great toner since it helps regulate sebum production. All this TOGETHER in ONE product had me sold. I had to try this. I am so happy I did. My skin hasn’t looked this good/even since I was much younger (in 20’s/early 30’s). My skin absolutely LOVES this product. The smell is herbaceous and clean. This product does NOT have surfactants in it so it does not ‘lather’ the way a typical cleanser would (which is actually a marketing ploy, btw…), but it is gently getting the job done. I will be adding the toner, next… **User Tip** once applied, leave on face for a few minutes so the salicylic acid can activate and gently slough off dead skin and breakdown oils, before rinsing off. I always use an oil cleanser to remove my makeup, then follow up with a non-foaming cleanser. I also prefer to use oil cleansers that emulsify, as I find these easier to use for my skin and also are less likely to clog my skin.The fragrance of the oil is very herbal, with a gorgeous lavender scent. I apply it directly to my dry face and massage. It does a great job in breaking down all my makeup, and I absolutely need that. I wear a full face of makeup everyday for work – I work in cosmetics retail as a makeup artist. The downside is that this stings my eyes quite badly. As I need a cleansing oil to remove my mascara and eye makeup, it's not an area I can really avoid. I have tried to be more gentle, and even put it on a cotton pad/cotton ball, but I get the same effect.This oil emulsifies relatively easily but I do find the skin to have a bit of an oily finish afterwards. This doesn't really concern me all that much as I said, I always follow up with a double cleanse. This could be of consequence to someone who just wants a one and done cleanser.Would I purchase the full size? Unfortunately I wouldn't. I have used Skinmedica Facial Cleanser for the past eight years. It is the most gentle cleansing product, especially for after treatments or for when the skin is reacting to the irritation caused by tretinoin. I am addicted to this cleanser. It does a good job of removing impurities in the skin. It leaves a clean feeling.
I am in my 60’s and was recently diagnosed with rosacea. I’m talking the red face with pustules the size of a dime! I don’t know how this condition took so long to identify as I’ve seen a dermatologist frequently for over 25 years based upon the ongoing need to have basal cell issues addressed. My long time doctor recently retired so I was scheduled with the younger doctor sharing his office. I’ve always had easily aggravated skin which I attributed to it just being sensitive. Chances are if rosacea had been diagnosed earlier, I may never have hit the awful giant red bump stage. At any rate, if you have redness surface easily or have been diagnosed with rosacea, this is the cleanser for you. The dermatologist told me to use Cerave and was shocked when I told her it irritates my skin. She went down a laundry list of cleansers in the same price range (Cetaphil, Acure, Avene, etc), so I went to the store and bought them all. Well, 3 weeks later my face was a red blistered mess. I gave each product a few days, and when the red bumpiness increased with each, I stopped them. The doctor prescribed Metrogel and doxycycline. The Metrogel made my face explode so I stopped it after 10 days, but I believe the antibiotics are helping. Then, I remembered Skinmedica, which I had tried some years back but put aside for a time based upon a glycolic wash that really helped my large pores and skin texture. I had to ditch the glycolic when the rosacea came. So, finally an end to my story-I am taking antibiotics and using only the Skinmedica wash for sensitive skin and my face feels and looks better than it has in a very long time. I don’t know if I have come to the end of a very bad flair or if it’s the change in face wash. I can say I will not be stopping the Skinmedica to find out.CarolinLV
What a great surprise! This gentle, but effective cleanser, cleanses my face without stripping or irritating my skin. When I use this cleanser, my skin feels silky and soft and clean. I don't even use a toner with this cleanser, and I'm a toner person. I have mature and sensitive, reactive skin, and this cleanser is just about perfect for me. I do double cleanse with BioDerma Sensibo, but I always double cleanse. I thought that I had found a really good cleanser in Skinceuticals Soothing Cleanser, which it is, but this Skinmedica Facial Cleanser is actually superior because it is a kinder cleanse. It's difficult to think that a cleanser can actually cleanse and still be so gentle. Because of my skin, I believe in good, gentle, thorough cleansers. This really is worth 5 stars.Anonymous

Can someone explain it to me why people like this product. I got it multiple times in different skincare sets I was buying. And I hated it every single time, then read the reviews, got it again, and hated it again. It is the worst cleanser I can think about – everything about it is wrong – the price point, the smell, the consistency, the mechanics, the residue it leaves on the face. It leaves a perfect impenetrable film, that doesn't let any following skincare to get in. it is a cleanser that should make your face ready for the followup products – this one is an abandonment. It can only work if your skin is super non-sensitive to any irritants, if you are fine tagging and rubbing and pulling your face to get rid of the film (and get extra wrinkles in the process, maybe even peel your face off), or if your skincare care consists of one product – the balm, and you believe that the residue has beneficial properties. Imo, it is horrible and should be avoidedelena.r
I received this Eve Lom set for free from Influenster in exchange for my honest opinion. It included a cleanser balm, a radiance essence, and a moisture mask. I'd give the cleanser a 3 out of 5 stars. I wanted to love this cleanser so bad because I've read so many great reviews about it. I loved that its non-comedogenic. I loved that it came with the cloth and the directions for a little facial. I loved the packaging and the jar it came in. I also loved that it was free from harmful additives. The actual cleanser was thick like a wax and melted when putting it in your palm. It turned into a greasy substance. I used this product for a whole month trying to get it to work for my skin, but no matter what I did i woke up with a greasy face and acne. I have really oily skin so I don't know if that is why it didn't work for me. All in all I have mixed feelings about this product. I did like how soft my face felt but i couldn't get over how greasy it left my skin. I know it's a good product it's just not for me. This was the first time I've ever used an essence and at first I was a little hesitant but I ended up loving it. I'm giving it 5 stars and calling it my new holy grail. It's a watery substance that you put in your palm and pat into the skin. It hydrates skin up to 72 hours after use. This essence contains liposome encapsulated retinol for lines and wrinkles and algae extract for radiance and luminosity. I could see a difference in my fine lines and wrinkles after using it for a few days. My skin looked younger and stayed hydrated for days. Last but not least was the moisture mask. I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars. It's a good product. You have the choice of leaving it on for 15 minutes or keeping it on overnight. I chose to leave it on overnight and the results were amazing. My face felt so soft and smooth. A little goes a long way with this product and it absorbs into the skin quick and easily. I used the moisture mask 2-3 times a week and noticed changes in my dry patches. After using it a few times my dry patches were gone and my skin was plumped with moisture.danielle .j

Cleansing balms can sometimes be a pain in my opinion however, if they work then they are worth the extra effort. I normally double cleanse with a cleansing oil and another cleanser (depending on my skin the second cleanser varies). First of all, this balm immediately melts into a silky oily texture once rubbed between your palms and as your bringing your hands up to your face your nose is surrounded with beautiful blend of four aromatic oils and as your massaging it into your skin, the aroma becomes more pleasant. The fragrances released are not overwhelming or too strong at all, they just fill your senses with joy and transport you to another place. The cleanser is amazing at removing all makeup and spf, even waterproof, and if you follow the instructions you will be left feeling cleansed, hydrated, toned, and exfoliated. The included muslin cloth is a very important accessory for you to get the most out of this product, especially for exfoliation. I was afraid I had stained the cloth for sure after my first use with my waterproof mascara however, it rinsed right off and out of the cloth immediately after running hot water over it to continue the process. There's no need to scrub hard, the cloth does all the work as you gently massage it over your skin. Just continue rinsing the cloth and massaging until the cleanser is removed, then give it one last rinse and hang it to dry so, it's ready for the next time. Skin feeling like exfoliating isn't necessary? Skip the cloth and rinse off like any other cleansing balm. I love how they made this process an experience and is non-comedogenic. After I'm done with the cleanser my face doesn't feel stripped or irritated, leaves behind zero residue, it just feels hydrated, smooth and ready for the next steps. My cotton round I use after cleansing for toner is completely clean and clear of any makeup so, I know this cleanser is giving my face and neck a good, deep cleaning. It's up to each individual whether or not they feel the need to go in with a second cleanse but, I don't find it necessary especially using it in unison with the muslin cloth provided.Effy
