This is a mild, fragrance free cleanser suited to normal and dry skin types. I found that whilst it worked well for my dry, sensitive skin type, it is not as hydrating as the Cerave Hydrating gel to foam cleanser which is a newish release. It is a great first cleanse though, especially if you have makeup or sunscreen on as this cleanser is quite gentle and will not remove everything. I love using it during my non-active days (no retinol, acids etc) and for when I may have overdone it with chemical exfoliants and need to be gentle with my skin barrier. It also comes in a convenient pump and I use this on my body as well. Great if you have skin sensitivities and want something that isn't drying. Overall it is great value for money, comes in a large size that lasts a long time. It offers ceramides, hyaluronic acid and is gentle on the skin barrier. I've been using a prestige brand cleanser for years (it was $40 for much less product), but had to change to CeraVe after my doctor's recommendation. I started two Rx products from my doctor for adult acne, both of which extremely dry my face out. I needed a cleanser that is mild, doesn't contain soap, doesn't contain a lot of ingredients, and is lotion-like (doesn't foam). This cleanser is very effective and leaves my skin soft, clean, and hydrated. Doctor recommended too. Just remember it doesn't foam up like most cleansers, but you wet your face and lightly rub it into your face for 30 seconds or so, then rinse and pat dry your face. It gets your face ready for whatever you will be putting on it. At the very least, put on a moisturizer and SPF. I highly recommend this cleanser. I bought three of the largest bottles. The CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser is a moisturising cleansing lotion that comes in a pump bottle. Like other CeraVe cleansers, this also contains three essential ceramides, and is fragrance free and non-comedogenic. This is perfect for my dry and sensitive skin, leaving it moist and soft without causing any irritation. This works best in my morning routine, as it is easy to use and helps to prepare my face for the rest of my routine. The cleanser does not lather up though does leave my skin feeling hydrated and nourished. One pump is sufficient for my whole face, but I don't think this product is intended to be used as a cleanser for a face full of makeup and sunscreen as it does not remove all the products. This cleanser is really strange. I received it as my birthday gift. It’s very thick and once you mix it with water and apply it and rinse it off, it leaves some kind of “film” on your skin. I don’t wear makeup so the only thing this product had to go though was my daily moisturizer (no other serums or anything). My face did not feel clean even after massaging the product thoroughly for two minutes or so. HOWEVER THE FRAGRANCE IN THIS PRODUCT IS HORRIBLE. I don’t understand why there has to be a fragrance added to skin care (hello irritation!) in the first place and let alone a product that washes off your face. Generally speaking I love tatcha products. The cleansing oil and the water cream are part of my regular line up. I have tried this product twice, when it came as part of a set, and both times after a week of use I ended up with dry, flaky skin that resolved after I stopped using it. My skin is typically normal-to-dry but I also live in a very humid climate, so I wouldn’t say dry skin is a major problem for me, but with this product it was noticeable. I couldn’t wear any face makeup for a week or two because it would highlight the flakey spots. It has a lovely smell, and it feels nice, and the light texture seems to vanish when it’s rubbed in (I’m not sure if it provides any exfoliating at all, it’s so fine and disappears so quickly), so two stars for “cosmetic elegance,” but ultimately it is not for me. I really can’t understand how this would be called “hydrating” or described as not “stripping” the skin because neither of those were true for me.sarahs310
This wash feels extraordinary and you really have to compliment tatcha for the formulation here if nothing else. There is a mild "grit" to the cleanser when it first comes out of the tube which immediately dissolves as you rub your hands together and spread it over your face. It never creates a harsh lather, but rather cleans your skin almost like an balm or an oil, easily removing dirt and oil from your pores. It feels very rich never leaves you dry. I think this would probably work for all skin types with exception to extremely oily skin. If you've got very oily skin or clogged pores, I recommend the Hyper Skin Gentle Brightening Gel, which is my favorite cleanser at the moment for reducing the look of pores. This Tatcha rice wash comes in second place, as it's super calming and I always reach for this when I want a cleanser to make me feel like I'm at a spa. Be aware that their is some mild fragrance. This really shouldn't cause any issues even on sensitive skin, BUT as always if you have a damaged skin barrier from going too hard on the chemical exfoliates or treatments (can look like small red patches or general stinging when applying products) then I would put down all fragrance products until your skin heals.boyskinJJ

I ended up liking this better than , which I didn't expect. The ingredients in that one interested me more, but in terms of actual daily use, I found this one more effective. That said, there are other cleansers I still like a lot better, for example Tatcha and AmorePacific. I know those are more expensive than this, but this one also isn't super cheap and I'd rather get better results. The gel-like texture for this cleanser felt too thick for me. For cleanser gels, I prefer ones like Youth to the People Superfood, not ones that feel like they're so thick it requires vigorous application in order to get a good lather from it. This one helped with my acne somewhat, but not enough to keep using. It also seemed to leave a bit more of a film on my skin at the end of washing my face.
Finally I have found a cleanser for my supper dry and sensitive skin this winter! This cleanser is what I wanted the like 5 cleansers I tried this winter before it to be. It's creamy and thick, very soothing on my skin which is feeling better. It lathers well and a little goes a long way. It does smell like fragrance free cleanser, but that's fine better that than a scent. Sorry as usual I know it says it's a makeup remover, but I don't know how effective just this product is at removing makeup on its own I only wear minimal makeup and I use micellar water before this and that seems perfect. I will say it says it's for all skin types but while it's gentle enough I don't know if I would use it if I had oily skin or combo skin more on the oily side. This might be my winter cleanser, have to see in summer. But I've been using it almost a week and I haven't broken out and it hasn't clogged my pores.
Pleasantly surprised by how effective this cleanser is while still being mild enough for when I’ve got a rough situation with my very sensitive yet acne-prone skin. I actually felt unimpressed with this product at first but inadvertently over-exfoliated my face one day and needed a super mild cleanser. This came to the rescue and I’ve been using it ever since! My only complaint is the smell. Yuck! It SMELLS “chemical-y” like it’s got tile cleaning agents in it or something. I know it does NOT have those types of ingredients but smelling like it is awful enough on its own. Hi! Today I will talk about the "Relief and Mega-Mushroom Resilience of Dr. Andrew by Origins" which in Spanish translates to Mega-Mushroom Relief and Resilience. It is a treatment in lotion with reishi mushroom and now with fermented Chaga and coprinus mushrooms. It is alcohol free and pH balanced. It promises to hydrate and soothe the skin. The treatment also says that instantly increases the level of skin moisture. In addition, reduce the appearance of redness in a single use and prepare freshly cleaned skin to use serum and moisturizer. This product is specifically designed for redness and sequence, any skin type can be used in case you have any of these needs. I honestly had not noticed what redness comes out in the most frequent T zone than I thought, until I started using this product. My skin is very sensitive and reacts easily to any product, but especially to those that promise hydration. In my experience this treatment has never reacted to me and fulfills what it promises. I could even say that it is my second favorite product to regulate skin tones. But, be careful with this, the product relieves the symptoms, however it is important that you consult with a dermatologist the causes for which you have redness or sequence and if you can use the lotion. If you become itchy when using it, see a specialist doctor and stop using it until the professional tells you that you can use it. It pains me to write this review, but I am compelled to make others aware. Let me begin with I liked the cleanser; I really liked how it lathered and my face felt clean after each wash. That being said, I was disappointed with the packaging. I purchased the 8.5oz container and half way through its use the opening clogged. I made the hole larger and it clogged repeatedly. With the larger hole the cap would not stay closed, which I sure aided in the subsequent clogs. Even worse, I travel often and I could not take this cleanser with me. SO, because I am a loyal Origins customer I purchased a second container, this time the 5 oz, thinking the size was the problem. NOPE, same result. Now, I have two more than half used container that I eventually threw away. Frustrated, I reached out to Origins via email, shared my concern and encouraged them to fix the packaging and/or to give me some guidance on whether my use was causing the problem. I received a response apologizing for my poor experience and then they offered (no, I did not ask for replacements) to send me replacements, but for this to occur I had to send them the very small serial numbers etched in the seam at the bottom, and was the same color and very, very tiny (to my 50 year old eyes :-)). I complied. I guess they wanted to ensure I did not buy a KNOCKOFF – I did not realize there was such a thing. It has now been over 90 days and I have neither received the unsolicited replacements nor have I heard anything else from the company. So, for these reasons, I cannot recommend this product because you can only use half of the contents with ease, the remaining is a battle. I am struggling with my commitment to the company as it is clear they have none for me. This is a very concentrated gel that turns to a super creamy lather, cleanses the skin beautifully and removes makeup very well! I love it and have two bottles – one in the shower and one by the sink. I use just a tiny pea sized amount if I'm not wearing makeup, and a little more if I am removing makeup. I have extremely sensitive skin and this doesn't burn, tingle or sting my skin or eyes. FYI, I have rosacea that affects my eyes and skin and have to be so careful with what I use. This is it for me. This cleanser has a dreamy consistency. Of all the PC cleansers, this is the one with the best foam, so if you like that feeling and consistency you'll probably love this. I do. It's a fluffy, light and abundant foam that rinses beautifully and cleans well. However, it is not hydrating. Like the Earth Sourced cleanser it's definitely best for normal to combination and oily skins even though it's labeled All Skin Types. I bought this travel set on a whim and I noticed immediate results the moment I used it. I have mild to moderate rosacea and have struggled with redness, small bumps, and at times oily or flaky skin. I have tried French skincare brands, drugstore brands, and even prescriptions with little help. This leaves my skin clean (I double cleanse to remove makeup) but also soft and eliminates almost all my redness. I stopped wearing foundation and only use a tinted sunscreen and some concealer for my t zone. I bought also recently some go pute retinol cream and retinal serum . I wore a mask for 8 hrs a day and developed some nasty acne . I then switch to the go pure vitamin C products and had to continue to ware a mask and totally cleared up the acne . Now I only use the vitamin C pure product. And my skin looks and feels much better . Perhaps I was not a good candidate for the retinol but I blame it on the mask as my nurses college are experiencing acne from waring mask also . I only got the acne waring a mask with the retinol line. Now all is well with the vitamin C product with or with out the maskfrance e.
I love this cleanser. I use it every night. This has help my complexion and the acne I use to get I no longer do. What I loved the most is the quality and price. However I recently placed an order on 11/28/21 and received it yesterday. When I placed the order I was ordering the original packaging where the bottle was a 6 oz bottle. But for some reason I received this new packaging of 4.3 oz. I wish I could have received what I was ordering before they decided to change the packaging. I will continue to buy because I love the product; however I believe they should have kept the original bottle, and if your now selling less quantity at least adjust the price. I just started using the Vitamin C cleanser, even though I started with the Actives serums about 2 months ago. I've been seeing good results with them, and started with the cleanser to be using the whole line together. I wear IT Cosmetics CC+ foundation and it provides medium coverage. Usually I have to take it off with something else, and then cleanse my skin. Tonight I tried using the Vitamin C cleanser without taking off my foundation first. This cleanser took off 99% of my makeup (foundation and mascara) with using it on a washcloth. I followed it with my usual follow-up of micellar water on cotton pads. Hardly a trace of makeup left on my face at all! That's better than using a makeup remover for an all day foundation, cleaning my face with another cleanser and then, micellar water on pads! My face was soft and no stripped feeling. The price is very reasonable for this cleanser, considering that for me it's taking the place of 3 different products. I received a deluxe sample of this product with a purchase. I was excited to try it out because I ran out of my other face washes and wanted to try something new. First con would be the scent. This product smells like a lemon cleaning spray. It does not smell good at all & has a strange overpowering scent. Clorox wipes would be my closest comparison. The next con would be the texture of the product. The product does not foam up at all. You will need to use a large amount as most just washes right off if you're using it in the shower. This product isn't cheap, so you will be wasting a lot of product to get your face fully washed & clean. Lastly, this doesn't do a good job removing makeup. You will need to wash your face multiple times if you do have makeup on. Afterwards, it makes your face feel VERY dry & you will need a really good cream to hydrate your face after. I LOVE this cleanser. I have very oil skin and it's difficult to find something that will balance my skin out without over drying it. I only use this at night unless my skin needs it in the morning. This is my new holy grail. My skin has never felt so good in my life. My skin feels refreshed after using this. This cleanser is on the pricey side but you don't need a ton. I love this facial cleanser. It has a clean light scent that smells refreshing. It is light, creamy, and actually cleanses my skin. After using the cleanser my skin feels very soft. I must admit prior to my purchase I noticed the number of complaints about packaging. I did reach out to Osea and they were super amazing. I wasn't expecting to receive a new pump. I e-mailed them to ask if their was a replacement I can purchase or use to help me pump the product out of the bottle. I informed them I was currently banging the bottle on my palms to get some out each wash. It wasn't a big deal, but I also read another reviewers comment that she purchased something to get the product out. I was willing to do the same as I seen Ulta had a tool that could be used that would fit inside the bottle. I don't remember the name of it, but it looked like a butter knife. I think it is used for make. However, I was able to request a new pump. They also provided me with instructions on how to use the pump. I wanted to come on to review product so I can help others to avoid damaging their pumps. The best way to describe the smell would be a little bit of fruity and a little bit of floral. You can smell peach and apple when it comes to the fruity side and lilac and jasmine when it comes to the floral side. The description on the website says that there are notes of musk, woods, and tamarind however, I don’t really pick up on those. Maybe your nose is better at its job than mine? This has been my fav make up remover for 4 years. I have yet to find anything better. The number one reason it's my fav is because I can use it to remove mascara and it doesn't burn my eyes. I don't wear water proof mascara because my eyes are sensitive so idk how it works for that. I will say that I always moisturize afterwards. I'm not sure if it makes my skin slightly dry or if that's just my skin but you should be moisturizing after any cleanser to protect your skin barrier anyway. Also, on days I wear more make up than usual or sweat more, I might use a toner or micellar water after cleansing. I rarely get anything on my cotton round that the cleanser missed or didn't get. This is a mild, fragrance free cleanser suited to normal and dry skin types. I found that whilst it worked well for my dry, sensitive skin type, it is not as hydrating as the Cerave Hydrating gel to foam cleanser which is a newish release. It is a great first cleanse though, especially if you have makeup or sunscreen on as this cleanser is quite gentle and will not remove everything. I love using it during my non-active days (no retinol, acids etc) and for when I may have overdone it with chemical exfoliants and need to be gentle with my skin barrier. It also comes in a convenient pump and I use this on my body as well. Great if you have skin sensitivities and want something that isn't drying. Overall it is great value for money, comes in a large size that lasts a long time. It offers ceramides, hyaluronic acid and is gentle on the skin barrier. I've been using a prestige brand cleanser for years (it was $40 for much less product), but had to change to CeraVe after my doctor's recommendation. I started two Rx products from my doctor for adult acne, both of which extremely dry my face out. I needed a cleanser that is mild, doesn't contain soap, doesn't contain a lot of ingredients, and is lotion-like (doesn't foam). This cleanser is very effective and leaves my skin soft, clean, and hydrated. Doctor recommended too. Just remember it doesn't foam up like most cleansers, but you wet your face and lightly rub it into your face for 30 seconds or so, then rinse and pat dry your face. It gets your face ready for whatever you will be putting on it. At the very least, put on a moisturizer and SPF. I highly recommend this cleanser. I bought three of the largest bottles. The CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser is a moisturising cleansing lotion that comes in a pump bottle. Like other CeraVe cleansers, this also contains three essential ceramides, and is fragrance free and non-comedogenic. This is perfect for my dry and sensitive skin, leaving it moist and soft without causing any irritation. This works best in my morning routine, as it is easy to use and helps to prepare my face for the rest of my routine. The cleanser does not lather up though does leave my skin feeling hydrated and nourished. One pump is sufficient for my whole face, but I don't think this product is intended to be used as a cleanser for a face full of makeup and sunscreen as it does not remove all the products. This works best for a basic clean and moisturised face. I love the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser as part of my morning routine, as my face feels clean, hydrated and nourished, and ready for the day. I started using the Ordinary products about 4 months ago and they completely changed my skin, they helped more than anything I had ever tried before. Everyone commented on how amazing my skin looked. The flaky dryness disappeared, I had less blackheads and my hormones didn't affect my skin as much. I recently brought this in a large size as well as the moisturiser and I don't know if it is me or something is different with the product, but my skin is back to flakey and dry. I never had any sensitivity issues with the products, but now the cleanser feels like it burns, my skin feels sore and the products don't feel like they are working. I also feel like the moisturiser burns, and it was my favourite product ever, so im gutted. My skin hurts all day. I don't know if I'm meant to push through and it's some form of purge my skin is doing or if out of nowhere my skin has decided the products no longer work? People are still commenting that my skin is glowing for the most part if they aren't to close to my forehead, but the cleanser isn't meant to hurt right? Can you get a sensitivity to something out of nowhere? I would definitely tell people to try these products as when they work for you it's fantastic, I think the issue is me at this point which sucks.Max
I love this stuff so much I started enjoying double-cleansing again after taking a year's hiatus. I've been double-cleansing for YEARS – before it was really a "thing" in the beauty world – and I've used everything from straight up carrier oils to cleansing balms. Though, I stopped double-cleansing because I felt it a pain in the butt to have to over-rinse to remove residue or oiliness, which would cause my dry skin to become even dryer and tight… and that's why this is the best. The creamy product turns to silky emollient upon application, and rinses away like nothing. It removes even my most stubborn makeup effortlessly and within seconds, and without needing to scrub hard or for long. Meaning, this added step hardly feels like an additional step in my multi-step skincare routine. For best results: I do recommend applying on dry skin, and gradually apply wet fingers to the eye area to remove makeup, and rinse with a cloth and water… Not just water alone. I've read reviews complaining about leftover mascara residue — but I just don't understand it. The first time I used this I was floored at how it removed ALL traces of my makeup with such ease. I could've carried on without double-cleansing. And it's never let me down since. It even seems to be helping with my pores and sebaceous filaments. Though it's not an instant fix. Overall, it's effective, hydrating, gentle, easy-to-use. I'm not sure what more one could want. My biggest gripe is that the smaller bottle doesn't last long, as sometimes you need a little more product than you'd think, but for the price, I can't really complain. Cleansers aren't a 1 size fits all, but I fell in love with this brand after trying their zinc serum & peeling masks (which, paired with my 'clean & clear gel cleanser,' completely fixed my oil & texture problem!), so I was excited to give this a try too. However, I suppose this isn't for people who, like me, are recommended to using "gel-like consistency" for their dry skin [via their esthetician]. After immediate use of this product, my forehead still felt clogged and textured, and oil production was visible on my nose just seconds after. I woke up feeling especially congested, and chose to give this product a 2nd try – this time doubling the amount, and taking more time heating it up and massaging it in. *This was also on my 'ordinary AHA/BHA exfoliation mask morning', so I was curious if that would make a positive difference. However, the results were the same, even with the mask that I swear by. I will be going back to my old drug store cleanser and just enjoying pairing it with the Ordinary serums and masks instead. **The BENEFIT however: was that on the small dermatitis patches I'd developed from wearing/reusing n95 masks 8 hours long every day, are now A LOT less flakier. I'm not sure if it's thanks to this cleanser, or the +HA Ordinary moisturizer, but I will keep this regime only for the perioral area until it's fully treated, and my drug store cleanser for the rest. I was given this product free for my honest review. First off, I trust Aveeno as a good skin care product. One of the reasons I selected this particular item was because of the brand name and reputation. I am 62 and have been a skincare advocate for most of my life. I've been exposed to many brand products in the past, Avon, Mary Kay (sell both), Arbonne, Clinique, and the like. I'm familiar with the Aveeno name having used many in the product line at various times in my life. I don't typically change my skin care regimen because the introduction of any new product usually causes breakouts until my skin becomes used to it. That did not happen with Aveeno Absolutely Ageless Facial Nourishing Anti-Aging Cleanser. I found it to be rich and emollient and was pleased at how smoothly it goes on. It completely takes away the makeup buildup of the day, without any need for a toner follow up. I shared the product with my 30 years younger daughter and she likes it too. I like that there are no discernible scents when applying the product, as I prefer to use only use fragrance free skin care products. I watched some Youtube videos to get some recommendations from dermatologist for my facial eczema. This was one of a few cleansers recommended. I hate cold cream so I chose this recommendation instead. Amazing! I let this sit on my face while I brush my teeth. It's so moisturizing that I don't want to take it off. Doesn't have that gross feel like the "C" brand that some like but I don't. It's super gentle and unscented. Rinses easily and my face is left soft and moisturized but not greasy. I have tried several face washes over the years. I don’t have perfect skin but it’s also not super oily nor does it break out often. But it is very sensitive. Product over load or the wrong face care products will cause havoc on my face! This face wash stood out to me almost instantly. The product is easy to use, similar to most Cerave products it comes with a pump in a slim bottle. Due to its size, it is easy to store in your shower caddy or on your bathroom sink. I like to use a few pumps of the cleanser for my whole face. Even though you will probably use more than one pump, I still have a lot of product left in my bottle and that is after a months use. You definitely get value for your money in this product. I love cream cleansers, they are less abrasive and are soothing on the skin and this formula is exactly that. The formula is really nice, it feels almost like a moisturiser when you first disperse it and then when you add water it suds up a little bit. Another positive is that the product is fragrance-free, and it does not have a smell to it. My skin always feels really soft after using this product, clean but not stripped and dry. This is an extremely gentle cleanser, I found that it was easy to include in my nigh time and morning routine, I've got this product in the shower and as I wash the day off I use this. For morning use, it is good to get your skin prepped for the day, wash off all that sleep and give your skin a clean but hydrated base before you put on makeup (if you chose to wear any that is). For evenings however, I would say that it doesn't remove all your makeup – especially if you have been wearing waterproof mascara, I always find that after the shower I still need to go in with my oil based cleanser to remove any excess makeup. However, it is just easy to use and on non-makeup days it does the job and leaves the skin feeling really clean and extremely moisturised. The bottle does state that it removes makeup, but I would recommend just using this on fresh skin and using a proper makeup remover. I would absolutely recommend this product to others, it is a great staple to have in your skincare routine and super easy to use. As the product is extremely gentle, it most likely will not break you out if you are prone to acne and for those that have dry skin like myself, it won't strip your face and make it feel dry – adds the perfect amount of moisture whilst still making the skin feel clean.Tina E.
To begin with, I'd like to tell you that my skin is combination, with the first signs of aging (I'm 31 years old), I'm a woman, and I don't have acne problems. In my opinion, this gel is gentle enough to use both day and night. One of the things that caught my attention is that, although it is called a foaming gel, it does not foam very much. The texture is very light, the liquid is transparent in color and completely odorless of any kind. I don't apply it directly to the eyes, but if a little product gets in, it doesn't cause irritation. It is much smoother than I expected. This CeraVe cleanser compared to others, such as Bioderma, I find it much softer. I wonder how effective it will be for really oily skin. When using it I notice that it does not leave my skin completely tight, as it happens with other gels. One of the benefits of this CeraVe Foaming Cleansing Gel is that it is also suitable for use on the body. And for the price it has, there is nothing wrong with using a greater amount of product. I like this because if necessary, I can take a single product with me on the trip and I can use it for both the face and the body. Or, for example, if I don't want to carry a lot of products in my gym bag. In general, it seems to me a fairly soft gel, considering that it is for oily and combination skin. It fulfills its function and does not give me any type of reaction. But, as I say, I don't know to what extent it works for younger skin or true oil or shine problems on the face. So I actually bought a bottle of this cleanser the day before I received this sample on the mail and I fell in love with first use. It is everything I want a face wash to be. It has a nice creamy consistency right out the bottle and for me it creates a beautiful luxurious type lather. I see a lot of people saying it doesn't suds up for them but I think you just have to use enough. It's very moisturizing my face never feels tight or dry after but it does feel clean. I am someone who usually double cleanses when wearing makeup so I am not sure how it removes makeup on its own but just the texture of it I think it would do a pretty good job. To me the consistency reminds me of a face wash I used to use long time ago called Neutrogena naturals fresh cleansing plus makeup remover so if you have ever used that then you would know the consistency I'm talking about. I can't get enough of this product I have 2 bottles as backup. I hope they never stop making this face wash it's my all time favorite! I used to purchase this a few years ago. I loved it! It was rich and smelled wonderful. Had an opening where you could squeeze it out—as much as you wanted. And of course it smelled great and left my skin feeling clean but moisturized. Fast forward. First few ingredients are alcohol and glycerin?! Leaves my skin feeling fresh for a moment but then dry immediately after. Now has a ridiculous pump that doesn’t let you get enough out first few pumps. Won’t buy again.
I've been using this cleanser for a few years and I love it. I have switched a few times to other cleansers but I come back to this one. It does it's job. Lathers velvety and rinses easily. It does not take off mascara though, so I use a makeup remover first. If it removed makeup it would be perfect, but it's close to perfect. Also the scent is light and not overpowering. I first saw this cleanser at Whole Foods around pumpkin spice season, and I dismissed it as being something gimmicky. Fast forward to the start of winter and my face was hating my warmer-weather regimen of honey wash and a light moisturizer. Flakes. Dry. A little redness and pain. On vacation, I picked up the coconut sunscreen and I loved it. So I thought I should give this brand another look for face care. This cleanser is silky smooth and very gentle. I love it! But the left my face cleaned and unclogged the whiteheads in my pores. Returned for 2 reasons: their other gel cleansing product made my face sting and become irritated for a couple of weeks after discontinued and I was afraid this one might do the same. Also, it has a strong floral perfume smell, not natural. This line has changed from when I used it in the past, which was gentle but effective products with natural subtle smell.jan m.
I have super sensitive skin and was delighted to try this foam cleanser on my skin at their farm outlet in Adelaide Hills. It smelt divine and felt good on the skin. I use it every time I shower and it leaves my face feeling fresh and clean. I have now ordered 2 more as I never want to run out. I also recommend it to my friends who ask about skincare. I love this 3 in 1 balm. It takes my sunscreen and makeup all off and majority of my waterproof mascara off. It doesn't remove all of it but I always do the two cleanse method and it removes the residue left behind. Not a big deal for me. It does not have a scent at all. I like it how melts beautifully and rinses off without the oiliness that some face balms leave. It moisturizes well also. It does not strip my face either. I have also learned that because of the thin texture and glides well, that I can actually use this balm for a few minutes on my face as my oil pull cleansing method and it pulls whiteheads and blackheads out with no problem. For the size of 3.38 oz for under $20, I recommend this to anyone. It also comes with a clear cover tray and tiny spatula to place on the rim of the container. Hygienic and product formulation is well thought out. Love this! A must try.maria.d
I really wanted to love this cleansing balm. I typically use The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser – which has its own pros and cons. Clean it over all works, but caused too many issues to be worth it. Pro: Hygienic scoop packaged with the jar Removes 80-90% of my make up Skin feels soft Cons: Product is in a jar – not the easiest application, but I made it work Not for acne prone skin – I broke out with cystic acne on my jaw and cheeks. I do get the occasional break out, but never cystic (which is very painful). It's been two weeks since I stopped using it, and I'm just healing. Left residue on skin – I think this contributed to the acne. I usually do a double cleansing, starting with a balm to remove my make up. This does a good enough job, takes 80-90% of my make up, but the issue is that the second cleanser doesn't take off all the oily residue from the balm. It's scented a bit – it's not terrible, but it can cause irritation for some. Obviously, you're not supposed to get it in your eyes, however that's not reality when you're removing eye make up. Good news is that when the inevitable happens, it doesn't sting. Bad news is the fact that the balm clouds your vision for a fair amount of time. Flushing the eyes does not help. I'm not super comfortable with it. I used 3/4 of the jar and I tossed the rest. For now I'll stick to The Ordinary until I find something better.Cookie

Once water is added the oil emulsifies into a milky liquid. I was surprised how well this emulsifies. This was the first balm I had ever tried and I still find myself going back to it. It removes dirt, makeup and sunscreen well. Only issue I’ve had when it comes to the makeup is getting mascara completely off. I love that it doesn’t strip my skin or leave it feeling tight or dry. My skin feels refreshed and hydrated after use. I would recommend this for all skin types.
