I hate cold cream so I chose this recommendation instead. Amazing! I let this sit on my face while I brush my teeth. It's so moisturizing that I don't want to take it off. So I NEVER ever write reviews, but I couldn't not for this product – it is INCREDIBLE. I have suffered with bad skin sporadically for about 9 years and I have tried countless cleansers and treatments to stop flare ups but nothing worked – to the point where most days there would be new zits, pimples and scarring. I have been using this cleanser for about 2 weeks and I am so so shocked at how clear my skin is, I genuinely cannot believe it. I have however read that it drys skin out quite badly, so as I suffer from dry skin around my nose area, I have been using it only once daily with an intensely nourishing moisturiser. My skin now feels so soft and looks so glowy! If you have found that nothing works for you I could not recommend this product more, for the price it's worth a try!Megan
This stuff is great! I've been using it for years as recommended by my Dermatologist. Very gentle and effective to not lead to additional breakouts on my sensitive skin. I feel like so many of the bad reviews are people not understanding how products work or how this product works. This product will not work for you if you are mostly dry. And will backfire on you, causing other skin issues and leading you to think it's not working, when really you are using the wrong product for your skin type. This product is pretty gentle. So for those saying they didn't feel "clean" afterwards, it's because you're most likely use to bad products stripping the natural good oils from your face. In LOVE!! My friend is the one who told me about Mario Badescu products, and I’m forever grateful! Keep in mind that the Acne Face Cleaner can and will dry your skin out if you use it too much. I personally use it every other day to every three days. On my days that I don’t use the Acne Face Wash; I use the Glycolic Foaming wash! Absolutely love that one! Makes my skin feel absolutely amazing and clean, I usually use the Enzyme Cleaning Gel that they have right afterwards and it makes my skin tight and AMAZING! MY FAVORITE PRODUCT is the DRYING LOTION… it’s not a lotion don’t let the word confuse you, and make sure NOT TO SHAKE the bottle! Keep the pink sediment on the bottom!! Use a Q-tip or- what I use… chopsticks😂 I cut chopsticks into three’s. I noticed when I use a Q-tip it absorbs too much of the product, and it’s harder to save the rest if you get to much sediment on it. I switched from a physical exfoliant (scrub) to this chemical exfoliant (benzoyl peroxide). This product is much more gentle on the skin and still leaves my skin feeling soft right away. Over time, I have noticed much less breakouts/acne with this product! No more harsh scrub tearing up my skin, so it looks even more hydrated and glowy! I have combination skin, I get oily in my T-zone and have small patches of eczema around my eyes and mouth. I've used the classic CeraVe foaming cleanser/moisturizer/retinol serum/night cream for years. I did a course of strong meds a year and a half ago and it cleared my skin completely. After full-time mask wearing started up again, my acne came back a bit so I decided to try this cleanser after having such good experiences with all their other products. It cleared my skin after only a few days! But be careful – I developed a painful itchy rash around my lips and mouth that took steroids to clear up because of how much this cleanser irritated that area of my face. Great product! Benzoyl peroxide is perfect for hormonal/cystic acne — the red, inflamed, under the surface kind. I had been using salicylic acid for a while and didn’t understand why my acne was not clearing. Until my dermatologist informed me that SA is better for whitehead & blackhead type of acne (which I did not have). 4% benzoyl peroxide is a great amount if you’re just introducing benzoyl peroxide to the skin. Finally found the perfect cleanser for my face and skin type. I've already noticed a huge difference in overall oil reduction, texture, and clogged pores, so I'm pleased. I have combo oily/dry skin on my face, so some areas over produce oil and some areas are drier than a desert. But a couple of things I noticed about this cleanser is it works really well to unclog the oily areas and keep them moisturized a bit. After about 4 days, I did notice the salicylic acid starting to work and my face was flaking off, but that's what it's supposed to do. So I added some Jergens Ultra Healing lotion to my routine and WOW it's effective. The dry parts of my face are moist, the oily parts are moist but not oily. Would recommend.Luftherz

I received the CeraVe Acne Control Cleanser for reviewing purposes. I have combination skin nose and chin very oily, forehead is super dry rest of face is normal. I also get hormonal acne. With all that said I find this product actually whole line really great. I have only been using for about 3 weeks so I am just over the purging stage but I am seeing my pores getting smaller also not having as much redness. The low amount of BHA helped tackle my textured forehead and over the period of one month, I have noticed smoother and softer skin. A little goes a long way, so a standard 150ml tube will last you ages. This makes me look forward to washing my face every evening – it’s extremely gentle and non irritating for my sensitive skin. I also love how the bubbles would sometimes get near my eyes and there would be no stinging (my experience with cleansers near my eyes is a painful one 💔). I recommend this cleanser towards all skin types, I can really see every skin enjoying this! ❎: the packaging is something that really bugs me. As soon as you open the cap, lots of product comes flooding out and it becomes really messy sometimes – a little goes a long way so it’s annoying when I have more than what I need, it ends up just wasting product. The scent was also hard to get used to. This is probably because of the addition of tea tree oil in the formula. Though it is towards the bottom of the list, the smell is really strong when you open the product. Some people may enjoy this but I struggled with it at first. I'm shocked at how nothing went wrong for me after trying out this cleanser! It's a prudent practice to find as much criticism as possible of a product you're considering purchasing to find any patterns in the low reviews, and make a more fair decision from there. I noticed a lot of people who had bad experiences said it did strip their skin and dry them out, so I was highly leery. However, it was cheap at the time of checking out, so I acquired it. It's definitely an improvement to some old Senka Perfect Whip cleanser I had that didn't really wow me. My skin is dry and prone to dehydration and subsequent comedones. I live in an arid climate with pollution issues (Southern California). Because of the critical reviews of this product, I only use a gentle wet konjac sponge to make it foam up, and only use an amount around the size recommended for toothpaste. This suprisingly does not make my eyes sting, which is a major plus! My first cleanser is Kose Softymo's Deep Cleansing Oil. These two products help remove even the most cement-like mascara without ripping out my eyelashes, for another plus (Cement-like mascaras I have used so far include Heroine Make Long and Curl Super Waterproof and Etude's Lash Perm Curl Fix). This cleanser is also quite versatile due to its tea tree oil. TMI warning, I know someone who had a fungal annoyance due to being a sweaty-footed enthusiast for contact sports, which is a hobby where I've noticed some unhygienic men bond over their swamp butt and athlete's foot… and he washed his queso fresco-smelling feet with this stuff daily for a week, then never had an issue again. I also have used this to refresh my scalp on really hot days, and it helps clarify buildup from shampoos containing coconut derivatives! I love this dang cleanser. I’ve used this a few times since purchasing and I really think it has helped my skin! I’ve used it on it’s own and as a second step in a double cleanse. Works really well either way! It smells a little citrusy which I do enjoy. It comes out as a clear gel and it creates a silky foam that feels super gentle on the skin. I was worried it would be harsh given the citrusy smell but it really feels gentle and leaves my skin feeling clean. I didn’t find it stripping but I have oily skin. I don’t feel that it added any moisture but it does the trick if you want a good clean feeling! Size is big enough that this will last me at least 4-6 months with daily use. I have been using this product for a while now, and it made my skin feel and look the best it ever has. I swore by this cleanser. When I ran out, it was a no-brainer to replace it with the same product. When I tried out the new one, it felt different (didn't foam as much, not the same results) so I compared the ingredients to the previous bottle. I found that they took out the vitamin A, a key ingredient. This was the only cleanser I knew of that was both hydrating and had vitamin A. I am aware they have a different line that has vitamin A in it, however, it has glutamic acid, which is irritating to my skin. I unfortunately have to find a new cleanser.
The version I got says "hyaluronic acid and chamomile" on the label. I had it down to this cleanser, or La Roch Posey gentle cleanser, the latter being a much bigger bottle for the same price. I decided on the Derma E because it's cruelty free. I use Tretinoin 1% at night, so prefer more gentle cleansers, though the creamy ones don't seem to get everything off and leave a residue behind. I was skeptical, as most clear gel cleansers, even those that specifically claim to be gentle and non drying, strip my normal skin and leave it feeling very tight, even painful, after washing. This one does not. I oil cleanse first with an olive oil based oil cleanser from Japan, to remove sunscreen and makeup. After the second step of washing with this cleanser, my skin felt great. It took off all the oil and makeup and my face and neck felt smooth and normal, not the least bit dry or tight. I think I've found my new favorite cleanser!Geslina
I use this cleanser for almost 2 years (it is my 3d bottle already). My skin looks much much better since I started to use it (I combine it with Firming DMAE Toner and Tea Tree & Vitamin E Relief Cream). I got rid of my acne problems and my skin is healthier and cleaner 🙂 It foams very well, so one bottle is enough for me for almost a year of use (like 9 months I think, but I use it only for my morning routine though). This is a very concentrated gel that turns to a super creamy lather, cleanses the skin beautifully and removes makeup very well! I love it and have two bottles – one in the shower and one by the sink. I use just a tiny pea sized amount if I'm not wearing makeup, and a little more if I am removing makeup. I have extremely sensitive skin and this doesn't burn, tingle or sting my skin or eyes. FYI, I have rosacea that affects my eyes and skin and have to be so careful with what I use. This is it for me. By far there best facial cleanser I've ever used! (And I've used a LOT!!!)
This cleanser has a dreamy consistency. Of all the PC cleansers, this is the one with the best foam, so if you like that feeling and consistency you'll probably love this. I do. It's a fluffy, light and abundant foam that rinses beautifully and cleans well. However, it is not hydrating. Like the Earth Sourced cleanser it's definitely best for normal to combination and oily skins even though it's labeled All Skin Types. I bought this travel set on a whim and I noticed immediate results the moment I used it. I have mild to moderate rosacea and have struggled with redness, small bumps, and at times oily or flaky skin. I have tried French skincare brands, drugstore brands, and even prescriptions with little help. This leaves my skin clean (I double cleanse to remove makeup) but also soft and eliminates almost all my redness. This product absolutely changed my skin. I first got it during the winter, and it did dry my skin out. I stopped using it for several months until the summer when my skin was significantly oilier and needed some form of exfoliation. I decided to go back to this and see if it would help my breakouts without irritating my skin. My OH MY!!!!! Within just 2 weeks, my skin transformed. I tried this at first as a spot treatment and continued to breakout but didn't attribute this to the cleanser till I began using it on my whole face the next day. I used this product twice in one day and then felt my skin begin to burn. My skin is more oily and sensitive but this product dried my skin out so much that it feels tight and even flaked in areas, especially above my lips and T-zone. The following day I woke up to a new level of breakout and a red bumpy rash that I'm still trying to get rid of. My face looks and feels as if it were chemically burned! This cleanser is really strange. I received it as my birthday gift. It’s very thick and once you mix it with water and apply it and rinse it off, it leaves some kind of “film” on your skin. I don’t wear makeup so the only thing this product had to go though was my daily moisturizer (no other serums or anything). My face did not feel clean even after massaging the product thoroughly for two minutes or so. HOWEVER THE FRAGRANCE IN THIS PRODUCT IS HORRIBLE. I don’t understand why there has to be a fragrance added to skin care (hello irritation!) in the first place and let alone a product that washes off your face. Generally speaking I love tatcha products. The cleansing oil and the water cream are part of my regular line up. I have tried this product twice, when it came as part of a set, and both times after a week of use I ended up with dry, flaky skin that resolved after I stopped using it. My skin is typically normal-to-dry but I also live in a very humid climate, so I wouldn’t say dry skin is a major problem for me, but with this product it was noticeable. I couldn’t wear any face makeup for a week or two because it would highlight the flakey spots. It has a lovely smell, and it feels nice, and the light texture seems to vanish when it’s rubbed in (I’m not sure if it provides any exfoliating at all, it’s so fine and disappears so quickly), so two stars for “cosmetic elegance,” but ultimately it is not for me. I really can’t understand how this would be called “hydrating” or described as not “stripping” the skin because neither of those were true for me.sarahs310
This wash feels extraordinary and you really have to compliment tatcha for the formulation here if nothing else. There is a mild "grit" to the cleanser when it first comes out of the tube which immediately dissolves as you rub your hands together and spread it over your face. It never creates a harsh lather, but rather cleans your skin almost like an balm or an oil, easily removing dirt and oil from your pores. It feels very rich never leaves you dry. I think this would probably work for all skin types with exception to extremely oily skin. If you've got very oily skin or clogged pores, I recommend the Hyper Skin Gentle Brightening Gel, which is my favorite cleanser at the moment for reducing the look of pores. This Tatcha rice wash comes in second place, as it's super calming and I always reach for this when I want a cleanser to make me feel like I'm at a spa. Be aware that their is some mild fragrance. This really shouldn't cause any issues even on sensitive skin, BUT as always if you have a damaged skin barrier from going too hard on the chemical exfoliates or treatments (can look like small red patches or general stinging when applying products) then I would put down all fragrance products until your skin heals.boyskinJJ

I was looking for a gentle cleanser to use at night – I've started applying retinol in my night routines – and I found the Aveeno Foaming Clear Complexion cleanser at Kroger's and decided to give it a try. It is oil and soap free and it has salicylic acid and tone correcting soy in its formula. I have oily and acne prone skin, so the salicylic acid helps a lot. The amount of foam that comes through the pump is perfect to wash my entire face. The fragrance is delicate and refreshing. After rinsing it off, my skin feels soft and super clean, something I wasn't expecting, to be honest. I've used another foaming cleanser that didn't make me feel like my skin was 100% clean. One thing that is important to mention is that before the cleanser, I always use a cleansing oil to remove my makeup and sunscreen and I wasn't sure if this one would totally remove what's left of it. Foam cleansers are more drying compared to other forms. The additional salicylic acid (SA) can further irritate dry skin. If you require a potent cleanser, this would be it. But it can have very negative effects if the formula doesn’t agree with your skin. I have combination skin and periodic cases of acne. One time, I had varying types of stubborn facial acne, so my dermatologist recommended to start with this cleanser. I used it every night, then used a light moisturizer. I also wore/wear SPF 50+ sunscreen regularly. The first few days, my skin flaked a little, but that was normal when trying a new acne cleanser. But after a week, my skin was red and peeling, and blisters suddenly formed on my chin. I went a few weeks without washing my face entirely, due to the pain. I opted to use a gentle face wipe, as well as slathering heavy moisturizers and Vaseline all day. I had not used any type of acne products in months prior, so I do not suspect any residual reactions. I had tried many products with SA in the past, including the Neutrogena SA cleanser in both gel and liquid form. There is always some irritation, especially when my skin is adjusting to a new product, but it was never so severe. (I only use acne-focused cleansers as necessary, and prefer hydrating cleansers that are eye-safe). Personally, I suspect that the combination of foam cleanser+SA was too drying for my combo skin. Even with oily skin, I do not recommend using this on a daily basis. And when you do use such a drying product, always pair with a good moisturizer and excellent sun protection! (It will also help you realize if the cleanser itself is to blame for any reactions, instead of sun damage or dry skin). 3 stars because the negative reactions were so harsh, but I was still able to use the rest of the bottle for my body acne, and it was surprisingly effective and non-irritating. A very risky trial-and-error.
I have been struggling with acne on and off and even more recently during the pandemic maybe because of the masks. I normally don't have makeup on when I use a mask but if I do it's just for a brief few minutes. I have been getting a lot of acne on my jaws, cheeks and temples, even on my forehead now. This stuff is holy grail to my face and skin! Nothing ever worked with breakouts I always had to deal with them when I felt them painfully coming in! Not anymore. I bought this stuff and put it aside because I wasn’t fully done with the other face wash. HUGE MISTAKE! One morning I woke up with a painful pimple trying to come through the surface and I got tired of feeling useless and not trying to help my face and that darn pimple so I applied some of this all over my face and neck area as instructed on the packaging. The next morning I woke up and had NO BREAKOUTS and my face felt and looked so clean and clear!!! I won’t vouch and say it removes blackheads, BUT my acne is completely gone. For the past three years, I've been using PanOxyl face wash. My physician prescribed this face wash because I was looking for something to help with my acne. I've always had reasonably clear skin, but I've always had oily skin with acne scars. After doing so many sports and sweating so much, I started getting severe acne. I started using the 10% Benzoyl Peroxide face wash on both my face and back, and I noticed a difference in both areas within a week. My acne scars started to diminish, and I saw very few pimples. Because I have incredibly sensitive skin, I was initially hesitant because my dermatologist warned me that it could irritate my skin. I've been using this product twice daily for the past three years, and my skin isn't as acne-prone. I finally feel like I've found a great face wash that makes me confident in my natural skin, which many people can't say.One of the negative aspects of this product is that it can bleach your clothing, towels, and other items, but this can easily be avoided if used cautiously. Have you tried everything to rid your face and shoulders of acne?! Well my husband has, from Clinique's new acne line to Murad Salicylic acid products and Proactive all with no improvement! Over they years we have spent endless time and $$$ trying to help his skin improve. I am so happy to say we found the holy grail in PanOxyl, while being a bit to harsh for my less oily skin it has worked wonders for his overly oily skin in just a week of use! Being that it has the highest concentration of Benzoyl Peroxide (the ingredient in proactive but has a much higher amount per bottle) you can find without a prescription makes it safe to use unlike the damaging side effects he endured using Acutane at age 19. I have him using a gel or water based moisturizer after to replace some of the moisture it removes plus sunblock as this product can cause skin to be more sensitive to harsh UV rays. It has cleared his adult acne to almost zero in just a week, I can't stress that enough. He is much happier with the results than he ever has and I'm a much happier wife knowing he feels good about his skin (and I can stop hunting for more products)! As one who has problematic acne here and there, Differin Daily Deep Cleanser has helped me! It contains Benzoyl Peroxide and is oil-absorbing indeed! If you’re like me, however I wouldn’t recommend combining Differin with other products in your daily routine. Although this product is good for those with sensitive skin, it can severely dry out your face if you over use it or combine it with other ingredients, again as part of your daily routine. I wish this cleanser had a more pleasant scent, because although it does clean it does not feel refreshing or pleasing to the nose. I believe the gel also has helped me in more ways for pimples, it quickly dries them out and reduces redness.michelle.e
wow wow wow! my oily/sensative skin loves this! I typically use Korean skincare products in my routine, but decided to try this cleanser out because I wasnt sure when my next international order would be. Glad I tried it! I used Paula's Choice BHA Chemical exfoliant once a week for 1 year.. although I did notice a difference as my face felt cleaner the next morning, I didnt notice that my blackheads were dissolving or noticeable progress after long-time use. I decided to try this Differin cleanser also because it has Benzoyal Peroxide in it, and I tend to break out with whitehead around my nose quite often.. probably due to my oily skin and sebum production in that area. and WOW! I absolutely love this cleanser, I use it every single night for my night time regime. I got it for $15.99 from ultra's website but you can buy it on the brand's site for a dollar less. I would not recommend using this if you have cystic acne. I had really bad and inflamed acne for a while and using this cleanser alone didn't do enough for me. I did not have cystic acne either. Salicylic acid is a betahydroxy acid (BHA) and is the main ingredient in this cleanser. This is definitely effective but not using it by itself. If your acne is not so severe you could probably use it alone and it will clear up but in my own experiences I had to get on a prescribed astringent medication given by my doctor. Using that along with the effacer cleanser has slowly been able to fight off my acne. Overall this cleanser is pretty amazing and is a great tool in controlling my acne. I love it and it is pretty affordable, you can't beat it!jillian.g
to keep it short i have sensitive, acne prone, dry skin. my acne was mild/ medium. i had issues with hormonal/ cystic acne that just always kept coming back no matter what. i tried this cleanser and yes my skin felt super clean, but then i noticed breakouts. i did some research and soon found out my skin was purging (i had no idea what that meant). people are not educated enough about skin purging and it is actually a good thing because it really cleanses out your pores and pushes all the dirt to the surface (causing texture, white heads and blackheads) but it gets better. it's just a whole process of really cleansing your pores and you have to be patient. i would advise you really do your research on breakouts vs skin purging when trying a new product with an active ingredient. i do really love this cleanser though, but I would've hated it if i wasn't educated on what skin purging is because id think this product is just causing breakouts.victoria
I love and adore this product If you are like me and have some sort of combination acne like, cystic but also fungal but you don't know what to do or have tried everything? This product is for you!! It took about five days of regular routine of this project as well as their other two (which I will mention) to clear my skin, this is perfect for sensitive skin like mine and combination skin as well. I start off by using this cleanser, i foam it up a dime size amount in my hands and then I wash my face and under my chin/neck, I rinse off and repeat again just to really cleanse my skin. Then I dry my skin lightly and I go in with their step two toner, I take a cotton pad with a little amount and brush it all over my flared up areas. After I use their step three benzol peroxide and lightly glaze some of the cream over my entire face(NOT EYES) This is just my nightly routine, in the morning I just wash my face with the cleanser or else it is too drying . This product also lightened my acne scarring, please try this routine and keep up with it for at least a week and I promise there will be a difference in your skin. I have to say this is by far the most effective acne facial cleanser I've ever used. It has 10% Benzoyl Peroxide as opposed to the 2 or 3% usually found in most similar face washes or spot treatments. I also find it highly superior to products that have Salicylic Acid as the main ingredient for treating problematic skin. "Rapid Clear Stubborn Acne" also seems to aid somewhat in the gradual fading of dark spots, which I assume is another benefit of the higher B.P. content.
The one caveat I'll say is that some people with sensitive skin may find this product too harsh or drying. You WILL feel at least a tingle when you use it, unlike most cleansers that basically feel like you're slathering hand soap on your face. I received the product a few days ago. I read the directions and saw to avoid the eyes and around, what I did. The first day was fine. The second day I realized a little redness below my left eye. On the third day after using the cleanser both of my eyes were swollen like I cried for hours and were red around. That was yesterday morning. I used it for the 3rd and last time but around my eyes it's still a little bit swollen. I cannot recommend this product. I tried different products, but I never look like this before.Lena
This is literally the only thing that worked to clear existing and prevented new acne from coming in on my face. The consistency is thick and a little goes a long way. It has a menthol smell to it but not super overpowering. It gave a nice little tingle when on my skin. For me it wasn’t drying at all but I also have extremely oily skin but someone with a dryer skin type would definitely need to follow up with a moisturizer. I’m extremely upset that this has been discontinued. I’m currently on the search for something that can match the results I got from thisamanda .e

I should have written this review a long time ago, but here it is. My son was struggling with acne that covered most of his face. We went to see a dermatologist, and of course, they recommended and put him on a certain medication that starts with the letter A( that the filter will not allow me to type in this review. ) After 2 months of seeing what that medication was doing to my son (please research warnings/side effects before putting your child on this) I stopped the medication and searched for a new skin care line to try. I was on the hunt for a great face cleanser for my husband, prior to this he switched from Clinique to Lab Series and he just wasn't a fan, therefore he wasn't really using the product. So after much research and reading countless rave reviews on this product, I was so relieved and impressed when I got him to switch and he also really enjoys using this cleanser. So much so that I got curious and tried it myself. It's a great, simple cleanser that does the job. I can see why my husband likes it. He's struggled with sensitive skin and breaks out of any excess oil on this skin, but then using some of the products either dried out his skin and stripped off any moisture from his face, I mean, the struggle was real. My skincare regime before taking a more serious approach left my skin dry, oily patches, never really felt "clean". Now, I don't think I could ever justify turning away from this Caualie product. With a very minimal dolup of product, it lathers up in a damp hand and cleans off an entire face of makeup (I am not one who is heavy on primers or foundation) my skin is always left feeling clean, fresh, healthy, and not stripped like other harsh face cleansers tend to do. The sent is minimal but natural, everything about this product has made me happy. I used to get bad breakouts along my jaw line and for the last couple months since switching to the vinopure cleanser, and adding in some other moisturizers, my skin hardly ever breaks out, and if so, nothing more than a day or 2 because of my cycle horomones and stress. First off, I have medium skin color, and combination skin type. I rarely suffer from breakouts and this time around I had a bad one so I decided to try different facial cleanser that were specific from acne. I came across Versed and decided to try after good reviews on YouTube and of course their website. All I can say is WOW! I have only used it a little over a week and my results are phenomenal! At first i was a little nervous for it because it was making my breakout area really try but I was constantly putting on moisturizer throughout the day, along with toner and night serum daily. After a couple of days the dryness cleared, and my skin was looking better and better! I highly recommend this product for those with similar skin types like me. As a beauty content creator, educator, and skincare/wellness expert that have battled with acne and blemishes for most of my life, I have tried every remedy for pores, and even made homemade facial products. I tried prescription and Proactiv+, too. However, the Proactiv+ products worked the best for clearing up my skin the best as it had salicylic acid started to over dry my skin making it peel due to the cleanser and cream having benzoyl peroxide. So, I had to stop using it and it was getting pricey, too! However, my skin is not that covered with pores but having an oily T-zone, and wear masks, I still get those pesky bumps. Recently, one popped out of nowhere on my jawline, so this product couldn’t have arrived at the perfect timing. I wash with it right when I get up in the morning and night. Also, it works great as a spot treatment, too! As I was having a few breakouts, after cleaning, serum, moisturizer, I will put a few daps of the product for an overnight treatment, and I wake up with the pores less red and inflamed. I like the creamy blue texture (thanks to the blue tansy) and there is no harsh scent, like most acne treatment cleanser has that medicine smell. It is gentle on my skin with the non-stripping, yet powerful 1.5% salicylic acid to unclog my pores while leaving my skin feeling deeply cleanse and smooth. I have to say as a beauty content creator and skin/wellness educator for quite some time now, with a history problematic skin, I can say the ingredients in this cleanser is safe for sensitive, combination skin, and safe for teens. Tip: If you get some bumps on the arms and chest like me, I rub some of this product on those areas in the shower, wait for 30 minutes, and rinse off. This cleanser has a gel like consistency, it is cooling when you apply. I have used it as a mask and a cleanser. I have used it for several weeks and haven't noticed a difference in skin improvement. My skin also didn't feel clean after using this. I have used this on my bare skin and when I have make up on. If washing off make up, I feel that you should still double cleanse. I read reviews about how this product hasn't worked on dark spots or discoloration. I know this product contains niacinamide, however it is a rinse off. It may be worth trying a niacinamide serum. I LOVE this cleanser. I like gel cleansers that feel smooth and gentle, don’t strip my skin, don’t leave behind a filmy feeling, but leave my skin soft, and this is the perfect one for me. I use it on wet skin (you can use it dry but I don’t like the feel) first thing every morning and as a second cleanser at night after removing my makeup. It very lightly emulsifies but feels so silky, and I always leave it on for a few minutes before washing it off like a quick mask (even recommended on the bottle), and my face is so soft, smooth and brightened! I even feel like my toner, serum and moisturizer absorb better and my face stays smooth all day. Everyone’s skin is different, but for mine I can’t find anything I’d want to improve.Megan
I was so excited for this brand, and this cleanser in particular, to launch in the UK and it didn't disappoint! I think it's a great morning/second cleanse. It's super gentle but effective and lathers up nicely. Normally products that foam up irritate my skin and leave my face feeling dry, but this is nice and hydrating. The pump is great and the bottle is a decent size too! I love the texture, it feels quite luxurious considering it's a more reasonably priced cleanser. This is a great cleanser – effective, good for sensitive skin – but did not enjoy using it because of the texture. Not sure how to describe it other than "gummy?" It kind of rolls around as a glob when you try to rub it between your hands, even more difficult to apply to your face. However, it came highly recommended and worked well as my morning cleanser, so I stuck with it and put up with the awkward application until it was empty. Not repurchasing but would recommend if you've been searching for a gentle cleanser.LZ
Excellent! My holy grail. I have been using this for years. My skin is super dry — with other creams it gets drier, but with this one it is well moisturized. I use this once every few days since the moisturizing effect lasts a long time on my skin. Texture is a bit too thick for me to use during the day and also takes time to be absorbed, so I use at night. You'd feel sticky for the first few mins, but once it's absorbed it's really moisturizing. Fragrance free is a plus for me as well. I just wish it would come in a bigger size.iHerb Customer
I have never been a fan of Cetaphil's standard line of cleansers, but I'm impressed by this newer addition to their lineup. It's a nice morning cleanser and hasn't given me any irritation even when I have to wear a face mask for 8 hours for the rest of the day. I am knocking off one star for the texture. I would describe it as "stiff" coming out of the tube; it resists spreading at first. Going in with wet hands, lathering it a bit between my palms, and applying to an already-wet face solves that in my experience, but it may be offputting for some. Also, this is fragrance-free with very low amounts of plant extracts – the smell is raw ingredients, a bit plasticky in nature. Doesn't bother me and isn't impacting my score, but that's been showing up in a lot of reviews and it's worth mentioning.Melo

e.l.f. cosmetics Acne Clarifying Cleanser really works on my blemish prone skin! I have been using this product two times a day (morning and evening) every day for almost two weeks now. I noticed that the directions on the back of the box say that the product can be used up to three times a day and to apply the medication after cleansing the skin, but the side of the box instructs you to use this product as a cleanser twice a day. Strange. This is a cleanser, so I would stick with the "How To Use" on the side of the box. With my skin type, using this product three times a day is likely too harsh for my face. I have noticed that my skin does have that tight feeling after using the product, but that is how I know it is really doing its job! The cleanser is supposed to gently help remove the excess oils that your face produces, so as a result, your skin feels tighter. I apply some lightweight moisturizer, and instantly, my face feels hydrated again. I love that this product is clean and kind: vegan and cruelty free. I was pleasantly surprised with this face wash. First of all, you really can't beat the price point. Second, it's surprisingly mild for being an acne cleanser with salicylic acid. It didn't dry out my skin at all. It's made of a ton of nourishing ingredients you can usually only find in high end face washes. It does an excellent job of removing makeup. My skin feels clean and fresh without feeling stripped, and I've already noticed a reduction in breakouts. My very sensitive skin is very happy so far. I highly recommend.Ashleigh
Y'all this e.l.f cosmetics Acne Clarifying Cleanser is off the chain ! So I normally never use acne products because they seem to always irritate my skin and cause my breakouts to become really worse , I know they say alot of time it makes them worse because it's pulling everything out , but I don't have time for my face to get worse so I just don't simply use it ..well I decided to give this a try and I am AMAZED!! I love how foamey it gets first of all and I only use 2 squirts on my whole face! It doesn't smell like alot of other acne cleansers this actually smells amazing ! It doesn't burn my face or leave my face bright red , it simply gets the job done and my face feels nothing but amazing afterwards!! Such a refreshing and clean feel to it ! And most importantly of all , it doesn't make my face worse! It's doing it's job and my face is clearing up bump after bump ! It's mind blowing !
