This is a staple in my hair care right now. I have severely bleach damaged hair. I went from black box dyed hair to platinum if that tells you anything. Anyways my hair is extremely dry and brittle, and I found this at Walmart so I decided to give it a try. The scent is heavenly! Somewhere between coconuts and the beachI have used this on both my natural hair and my curly and wavy extensions. For natural hair, I use it as the Liquid in the L.O.C method and generally when I need extra hydration. It softens my hair and keeps it hydrated, it’s not oily and it doesn’t weigh it down. I also like it especially for use when I have protective styling, it’s a quick and easy way to add hydration.For my deep curly extensions, the leave in treatment helps to define the curls and reduce frizz. When I don’t have time to use a curl enhancer for defining the curls on the unit, I simply use this spray and finger comb/detangle the curls. For my wavy extensions, the spray helps me detangle, add hydration without weighing it down or leaving oily residue. This has lots of great reviews but I noticed they're almost all coming from people with fine/thin and straight or short hair, and they rave about how it's non greasy and lightweight. Well sure, if that's you, this is probably great but it says it's for all hair types and it is NOT, and usually most SM lines work for more textured hair, but not this. I have thick sorta course 2b/c super frizzy natural ginger hair (which tends to be extra coarse and frizzy). I live for the coconut hibiscus curl line but wanted to try something new so I got a travel size bottle of this. It was like scented water (and speaking of that, it's coconut scented but also has a very strong earthy monoi/gardenia scent to it-not my thing, I don't really like it but it's ok) and made my hair tangly even if it wasn't before. When it was already tangly before, this just made it worse and made it impossible to comb through without breaking apart my curls and feeling like it was causing breakage. My hair looked dull and frizzy felt super dry upon airdrying (I don't blowdry so no comment there). I tried using more to see if that was the issue, but when I used almost half of the mini bottle in one go, my hair still didn't feel soft and had no slip and the only difference was that it now dried sticky, but still frizzy and dry though. Upon looking at the ingredients more closely, I think I know the culprit! GLYCERIN is the 3rd ingredient!!! A lot of us thicker/coarsier/curlier haired ppl can't tolerate glycerin in large amounts. It's a humectant but that means it can also pull moisture out of the hair, and into the air, and that's obviously what's going on here. It does not lock moisture in at all, by nature, and needs occlusive ingredients like oils to lock the moisture in, but when the glycerin is higher on the list than any oils or butters, well, you do the math. So I'm not going to say this is a horrible product, it obviously works for some, but it is NOT for all hair types. If your hair is thick, coarse, wavy or curly, long, or especially any combination of the above, take heed. In all fairness, I've never had these watery type leave ins work for me, but I was hoping since it's shea moisture it might be different, but nah. Thick and creamy leave ins seem to just be a necessity for my hair type. I would recommend the coconut hibiscus curl and style milk instead, even though it's a styler it's way more moisturizing than this. I like to use it after applying more of my regular conditioner as a leave in after I shower. Gives me beautiful curls every time. I hate to leave a bad review but I still love shea moisture and would DEFINITELY recommend their other products and the brand as a whole!Vcurt

Пользуюсь месяц. У меня волосы по пояс. Заметила что волосы продолжают выпадать после месяца использование ночных масок, зудит голова. Есть перхоть. Амла в составе есть 11 mg – это почти ничего. Основной доминирующий компонент здесь это Брахми указано 114.63 mg. Наношу на корни волос и всю длину под тселофановый пакет и под тёплую шапку на ночь после мытья шампунем на чистую кожу головы. Сейчас после зуда и жирности волос делаю натуральную маску с зеленой кожуры грецкого ореха воды и масла розмарина подогретого в микроволновке. Орех красит в шоколадный цвет волосы исходный цвет темно-русый, питает омега 3 и омега 6 кожу головы. Лутше пользоваться тем что произрастает в нашем климате. Жалею что не взяла обычное репейное масло на основе кедра, сосны, можевельника, кипариса. В нашей хвойе содержится больше витамина С и таннинов, смол чем в Амле и Апельсинах. Если хотите лёгкое расчесывание и питать структуру волос это Масло Дерева Ши (карите) и Миндальное. This oil is amazing. I added this oil to my Josie Maran cream to make it absorb better into my skin. It did the trick. My skin was so much softer and hydrated. A little goes a long way and I still have two bottles left of this oil. It is a good oil to add other oils to. I added tea tree oil, peppermint oil and Jamaican black castor oil to this oil. I have been using black castor oil all year in 2021. I’ve been trying to think of my hair. Although I have not yet succeeded in fixing my hair, I still like Jamaican black castor oil. This is just one of the few that I have tried this year. The lavender scent makes this product smell way better than plain Jamaican black castor oil. I used miracle oil every single day and loved it. I loved how soft it made my hair and how easy it Was to comb my hair out when it was wet. then it disappeared off of the shelves. Then all of a sudden it was back so I stocked up just in case it disappeared again. Now it's like putting straight baby oil on your hair. Greasy!! And it does not absorb into the hair anymore. Was told to try this after i completely destroyed my hair by trying to use cheaper shampoos and conditioners. I think i used too much but i couldnt get enough it immediately made my hair feel so much better. I tried this shampoo almost by accident. I happened to have a travel size and was going camping and grabbed it. I always use the best shampoo I can find since I have very fine hair and some color damage. I was amazed when I saw how my hair looked after it dried. I use this after I wash my hair and before I dry it. It adds a lot of shine depending on how much you use. It doesn't make my hair oily but then again I dont like to use it on top of my scalp. I do have oily hair so by the next day, my hairline will be a bit oily but im not sure if it's this or the leave in conditioner spray I also use in combination. I did not like this hair mist. It has a very synthetic coconut fragrance that doesn't smell like actual coconuts at all. I kept having issues with the pump clogging. This formula was just way too heavy for my hair. My strands are very fine and this just weighed them down and gave my hair an oily looking sheen. It just wasn't the product for me.amber.g

FIrst of all let me tell you that I am making absolutely no medical claims what-so-ever, but my husband was going through chemo and radiation treatments on his neck simultaneously and it significantly just destroyed his skin, was almost burnt and extremely parched and his neck was peeling. His regiment was daily 5 days a week for over 3 month period. He came to me early one morning before one of his treatments and I could see the peeling and extreme discomfort of the skin on his neck, and he asked me if I had anything that could relieve his pain. I did not want to put any thing that could of irritated it with any chemicals or harsh ingredients. It so happened that on the bathroom counter I keep a jar of this 100% pure coconut oil. I looked at it and decided that this would be the most sterile and clean and lack of non chemical or harsh ingredients treatment that I could put on his peeling neck. So we used this and within 1-2 days his neck looked like normal skin – moist and healthy. This stopped all the peeling and redness and irritation and hydrated his neck to the point that his radiation attendant at the doctors office inquired as to what we were using to treat the damaged skin on his neck. I gladly told him that is was Shea Moistures 100% pure coconut oil !!! We were so happy and relieved that it worked so well with all that we were going through at the time. I will always keep a jar of this around to use for many purposes. I use it to keep my skin and hair soft, and to treat many little boo boos, small burns, abrasions, etc. The oil melts upon contact with your skin and with a few rubs it absorbs into the skin immediatly – has a soft REAL coconut smell. This is a great product to give that extra nourishment to your hair. I use it for my weekly hot oil massage and keep it overnight . It is very light and comes off easily with one wash , not leaving any build up or residue . The smell of the product is gorgeous and it’s light in texture . My! This coconut oil is a multitasker! I mix in some of my favourite essential oils like lavender, rose, sandalwood and lemongrass and use the oil after a shower. Sometimes I add a few spoons of this oil to the bath water. Heaven! This works great on hair too. Makes it smooth and shiny. It is super clean too – doesn’t have any chemicals or additives. Makes my skin soft and supple. On its own it has a natural sweet coconut smell but with the Essential oils, I can give it my own touch. Very weak, I was expecting a higher concentration since it say's 100% peppermint oil. I used other 100% extracts before and I know how intense they are supposed to be. This one is already diluted from 100% oil to directly apply to hair (you wouldn't be able to walk around with the concentrate one as it truly burns your skin). So, needs a little bit more accuracy in the product labelling: Made from 100% pure peppermint oil, but not 100% in the bottle.Alan

It smells lovely and I hope that it improves hair growth, but it makes hair very oily and look heavy and greasy, so I suggest keeping it in overnight and wearing a cap to not stain the pillow then showering it out, or using it as a leave-in treatment for a few hours before washing hair before bed. I went looking for information and learned a-lot, I asked my doctor for advice also. We think it happened because of a medication I was taking for my heart rate. So I stopped taking it and am now taking something else that doesn’t cause hair loss. I got a brush that stimulates blood cells on my scalp to help with regrowth, I also am using a new shampoo and conditioner. I am not putting my hair in any ponytail or using elastic. I sleep with a silk pillow case to help with my hair not breaking off. And I am taking vitamins for my hair, skin nails. And I have been using oils on my scalp and hair, they are castor oil, tea tree oil, coconut oil, vitamin E. I have been using them once a day and the night before I Shower I put a-lot more in to sit overnight before washing out. I see a difference and i see baby hairs growing all over and My hair hasn’t been breaking off like before, and when I brush my hair I haven’t been losing as much hair as I was 6months ago.jahnay.w

I use it right after I get out the shower, and pat dry myself leaving my skin still a little wet and then add coconut oil to my damp skin, leaving me smelling good and my skin soft. I would recommend if you already have thick hair and want to strengthen it. It makes the hair feel really soft but if your looking for hair growth this isn’t the best to buy. It still gives a good shine and strengthalaa.a

Just bought it today. So far so good. I used it on my hair after i dyed it. Will be a repeat user. I like it because it can be used on multiple places hair nails skin. I like that it is cocnut oil. Love the smell. I would definitely buy again. It was only $1 at the dallor tree.marianne.b

LOVE THIS STUFF! hands down the best hair moisturizer. from years of using perms, blow drying and coloring my hair it was extremely brittle and damaged. i decided to stop using a blow dryer and let my hair drip dry and also stopped using hair rollers nightly and used hot curlers only periodically. amazing cost and does what other brands would charge $60 for. smells amazing, not overpowering. a little goes a long way.andrea.s

This is my top favorite because it is coconut oil. I use it for my hair and lips. I don't use it on my body because I only get the tube lucky you can put it on your body. I love that it shines my hair. It helps the breakage. I haven't had no breakage. Its oily but it really helps. I love that it has a extended opening for easy pouring.
