I find most decaf coffees to be bitter and have the aroma ( and there is no nice way to describe it) like dirt. I had read from an America's test Kitchen Cookbook that their recommended decaf is Maxell House , and that recommendation is spot on! Upon removing the vacuum seal I got a pleasant aroma; notes of caramel and dark chocolate. The aroma changed once i added hot water but i noticed It felt smoother to drink(maybe it was just my imagination since I was happy so far with this decaf and wanted to find one i really enjoyed to drink). I am fairly particular about not purchasing chemically decaffeinated coffee. I also want a decafe that tastes like caffeinated. I've purchased both the Colombian and now the the Frontera Decafe. I used to only get Gevalia at CVS, it wasn’t in a regular grocery store at first. I could use Extra Bucks and get it for a good price. But not anymore. Now it’s over $11 for 12 ounces at CVS. This coffee is a good one if you like coffee, but don't like anything too bitter! I really enjoy it for that reason! It's smooth and pleasant to drink and really seems to have no bitterness to me! Perfect to mix with your favorite, delicious creamer! My husband is more of a coffee connoisseur than me however, and for him, this coffee is a little lacking. He likes having the bitterness and a bit more depth, so this coffee is missing some flavor in his opinion. With that said, he still likes it as an "everyday cup of coffee." Unlike many coffees that "coffee snobs" laud over…this is actually a blend of Robusta and Arabica (not the "100% Arabica"…which seems to be the prerequisite for coffee-snob praise 🙂 But this just tastes sooo good. For context: I only drink americanos instead of drip-coffee from a coffee machine, and milk-based drinks instead of straight espresso. I have tried just about every Lavazza whole bean coffee, and this one is by far the worst. I found the flavor to be on the darker side, which is not a bad thing. But when that is coupled with bitterness, that's just a deal breaker for me. Obviously, these characteristics are more pronounced as an americano. As a latte or cappuccino it was more palatable thanks to the softening of the taste from the milk and foam. Nevertheless, whatever chocolatey and nutty notes this coffee may have, they are too subtle to appreciate, especially with the bitterness that is present. I have a Gaggia Babila and love it. The only thing I don't love about it is that I cannot use dark roast (aka oily) espresso beans. I love a deep, dark, intense and chocolatey espresso shot. I was purchasing Lavazza Top Class and it just doesn't have that intense flavor that I am looking for despite the fact that I have every setting on my machine to pull a bold shot. I asked WLL for something that would better fit my taste profile and the Lavazza Crema e Aroma was recommended. Total waste of $30 :(. Even less intense than the Lavazza Top Class. Purchased a 1kg bag of this coffee from another supplier. It arrived tight and perfectly vacuumed. Beautiful coffee. Sweet and slightly acidic like a medium roast Kenyan arabica. More to my liking than the Super Crema which I also purchased. It had more of a strong and bitter, burnt robusta aftertaste. So pleased with the Crema e Aroma that I ordered these two 1kg packs via Amazon. These 2 1kg bags arrived this morning and I am very disappointed to find that one of the bags is no longer a vacuum. It is completely loose and I can rattle the coffee beans freely around the bag by gently shaking. There is nill resistance to the bag when squeezed and the coffee beans move around freely. Also it is extremely easy to smell the coffee. There was no damage to the delivery box. The second bag is quite similar though not just as bad. I established a return to register my disappointment as the review option was not yet showing, but I stated due to the current Covid19 restrictions and the need to travel to actually get the packages returned, I would not actually be going out to return them. Considering my age, current health, and my rural location this not really an option. Not pleased, as I ordered in the first place to minimize shopping away from home. I dug deep to come up with a title of this review, fitting enough to express the worthiness of the experience this coffee brings every time, with every cup I drink! I had to borrow a phrase from Snoop Dogg! This coffee is the Shim Sham Shizzle Each and every time I make a cup for a friend who has never tried Death Wish Coffee, my preference is the Medium Roast, the results are the same, first sip……oh my, 2nd sip oh my………….that coffee ☕️ is unbelievable……..then the questions begin………,Whats that called again, where can I get some of this……..and the obligatory……..,could I have another cup please. I have drank Gevalia French Roast coffee for 5-6 years now. After the second cup of coffee I'm buzzing. Flying high, if you will. Taste is rich, color is black, WAKES ME UP! I bought Death Wish coffee because it said "Worlds Strongest Coffee". That's quite a claim so I HAD to try it, even though it was about 1/4 more than my normal cup of joe. I used exactly the same amount of Death Wish coffee to brew a pot in our Ninja coffee Brewer. This stuff tastes like diner coffee. It's color wasn't nearly as dark and 3 cups later I'm wishing I hadn't paid almost $16 for a 16 oz bag of this garbage. Absolutely false advertising to say "World's Strongest Coffee"!Lael Eccard
I've been drinking Folders for over 25 years and it just wasn't cutting it for me anymore.. Was trying out other bold coffees some good some nasty and came across this coffee at my local store – This coffee has a wonderful smooth taste I'm in love with coffee all over again. I buy the bean then grind it in my machine and the flavor is over the top amazing. Can definitely tell this company takes pride in what they do for again it's definitely the best cup of coffee I've had in years.. It's definitely on the expensive side to what I'm use to spending however for awesome quality smooth fresh tasting coffee the price tag is most definitely worth it. As long as the quality of this coffee stays as good as it is now I'll forever be buying this coffee from now on..!! Had bought 2 bags along with a coffee mug from Death Wish web p.g and also went back to the store and bought 5 additional bags. (This is reviewing it after having it in-store, freshly brewed) I know its a dark roast and all, but this definitely ain't what it used to be. First sip burned my throat! And I don't mean hot, I think the acidity is just through the roof. Quite bitter too, but i think the burning sensation from what is now room temp coffee is a bit strange. Drinking it black, bit of sugar. I think watering it down more might help, or trying milk with it. But as a standalone dark roast, it is definitely some kind of motor oil. Wouldn't recommend, unless you like gasoline. (That's really not an exaggeration.) However despite that, It is still something I can take a sip from, so it might be right up the alley of some others. But it definitely cannot replace the bold, smooth flavor the previous dark roast had. I appreciated that one, because I find the regular blend quite bland. As a replacement? This is my first time buying Dunkin coffee. Got this 45oz container from Sam's club and not sure if I should drink it or use it. I called the # on the side and described the little plastic "patch" you will see in the pictures I included. I was told that this is not normal and this was the first time the person I spoke to ever heard of it. Oddly enough I found a review right here on this site from three years ago that mentions this very thing. The canister still seems to be air tight and sealed but this plastic patch has what appear to be 4 puncture marks like pin or needle pokes. You would think if punctured even with a patch it would no longer be air tight. So, is this little plastic patch normal packaging or has my coffee been tampered with?JC NY
I was on eternal hold to reach the correct dept. so I'll do a review here. I think someone attempted to make the container fit in the hand thats great if your a man with a larger hand but I bet nationwide more women make coffee and we can't get our hand around the container I've spilled on the floor numerous times. Please take a look at the indentations for easy grab securely on the sides of Folders containers. Their large round container has a much better grip than your smooth narrow container. I'm sure you would sell more if we could feel confident picking this container up and the plastic sleeve makes it even more slippery. Next issue is the lid that doesn't have much of a seal or grip to keep the coffee in if it tipped or for freshness, Again, I would say look at the Folders container their lid locks on securely. Your coffee is good but your packaging really needs to totally be reconstructed especially when it's a premium coffee we should get a better package if we spend more for less coffee. Read it very carefully. It is just okay coffee but deceptive in its promotion if you think you are getting Kauai coffee. This particular packaging is only 10% Hawaiian coffee sourced from the Koloa estate. Fancy price if they're loading it with Arabica coffee from who knows where. I am an everyday coffee drinker. I would consider myself a coffee snob. I am not a fan of watered down coffee by any means. I will occasionally drink Dunkin' Donuts coffee, but it is not my go-to. I even have coffee with dinner. I was delighted when I got to try Keurig Green Mountain Vermont Country Blend Bagged Coffee. Although the bag is green, this is caffeinated coffee. It is a green bag because it is from the Green Mountain Company – a sustainable coffee company. The Vermont Country Blend is made of 100% Arabica beans that tend to have a smoother, sweeter taste. I love this blend for in the morning. It is sweet enough for me that I don't need to add any sugar. Review of the Green Mountain Sumatra Reserve Dark Roast Coffee The bag opened easily and closed easily for an airtight seal to keep the coffee fresh. The initial aroma was strong and enticing. The coffee was rich and dark in appearance. It produced a bold rich taste without bitterness. A very good cup of coffee. My only concern would be my reaction to the green bag. I don’t drink decaf, and even though this is “Green” Mountain coffee, in the universal language of coffee advertising “green” means decaf. My first reaction was to read the fine print on the bag (which appears on three sides) to see if I was actually getting decaf. Not great advertising. I purchased in DEC 2021. Unfortunately, it is past yhe return date. I purchased this because I love peppermint in my coffee as well as other spices just not all together. It said peppermint bark. I guess I ws expecting to taste the peppermint however I think it was all bark. I am NOT a coffee snob. I just like the taste of coffee. This coffee is on the worst coffee ever list. Victor Allen Italian dark roast coffee is the absolute best! If you are a true lover of coffee you’ll love it! I’ve tried EVERYTHING and will now only buy This particular coffee! It’s rich but not too strong with a bite. No puckering from the dark roast, just full coffee flavor. I’ve had guests compliment and delightfully inquire what Kind of coffe they are drinking and where they can buy it. I have been drinking Kava for many years ( 40+) because regular coffee upsets my stomach. Kava does not and it still has caffeine, which I feel I need and want in my daily life. I drink it almost every day (I only don't drink it if I forget to pack it for a trip and I can't find it in a local store.) I have turned to ordering from Wal-Mart because my local Wal-Mart store remodeled and no longer has Kava on the coffee shelf. Highest recommendation for this product. I even have coffee with dinner. I was delighted when I got to try Keurig Green Mountain Vermont Country Blend Bagged Coffee. Although the bag is green, this is caffeinated coffee. It is a green bag because it is from the Green Mountain Company – a sustainable coffee company. The Vermont Country Blend is made of 100% Arabica beans that tend to have a smoother, sweeter taste. I love this blend for in the morning. It is sweet enough for me that I don't need to add any sugar. The coffee was rich and dark in appearance. It produced a bold rich taste without bitterness. A very good cup of coffee. My only concern would be my reaction to the green bag. I don’t drink decaf, and even though this is “Green” Mountain coffee, in the universal language of coffee advertising “green” means decaf. My first reaction was to read the fine print on the bag (which appears on three sides) to see if I was actually getting decaf. Not great advertising. If I saw this on a grocery shelf it would remain there for this reason. But it tasted great!1Nana

I love love love. I make latte's with my sweet Dedica delongi expresso machine every morning! So I do use a lot of hot frothy lactose free ( Walmart brand/ it's not organic but it's amazing too) milk and with the intense dark flavor it makes a brilliant latte. Plus it comes in an expresso grind so I don't need a grinder! Love this one and the perfecto. gran Selizione is also perfect! In 2018, my husband and I were fortunate enough to travel to Italy. The coffee there was amazing. When we returned to the U.S., I suggested we try to find an Italian coffee at home.
