I absolutely LOVE THE COLOR!!!!! But it dries out your hair. I use so many products that I thought it would never dry mine out. After two washes I realized I will shampoo the color in, every day, not twice a week. And I will use three minute miracle or 6-13 by Wen directly after. It colors my hair waaaay better than my box color. I only have a few grays with this shampoo verses ALL the gray's with a hair color treatment. So yes, I'm still going to use it!!! I just add oil in my hair every time I wash it. And I have to use this every time I shampoo or it won't work and all the evil gray's come back.Beth
I have used a few products from this line, so I was excited to try a new color in Silvery Diamond. I have heavily lightened hair and maintain this through a salon. Before use, I contacted my hairdresser about using the product. I wanted to make sure she would be able to color correct in case I messed up, or didn't like the color. She agreed that this would be fun and easy to handle after running down a list of ingredients, and directions. I really like this product. It works perfectly on my hair because of how light it is. The silver was pretty but not a good fit for my skin tone which is fair. It washed me out, but that is not the fault of the product. I have used other colors and loved the result. I figured that since I didn't love the color on myself, this would be a great time to see how hard it would be to get out of my hair. I re-washed and used a de-gunking shampoo and conditioner and the color, although still visible was lightened and had a really pretty sparkle that played up the tones of my blonde. I really liked it. These are high-quality products, and leave your hair feeling soft and silky after use. I definitely recommend this to anyone with lightened hair. This is one of my all time favorite lines of hair care! When I can afford it (and find it…because it is kind of elusive). The smell is my absolute favorite! It's like a sweet mango flavor. I purchased this color safe shampoo based on the recommendations on beauty professionals in my area, and also because I am a big fan of Oribe products. I started using Oribe products when I went to a salon that used Oribe and pretty much all the products that I’ve used I have liked. I purchased this particular shampoo because I get highlights, and I wanted to prolong the life of my color gloss. I am a fan of Oribe and have other Oribe shampoos to compare it with, and I sometimes mix it with the Oribe Moisture and Control Shampoo in the green bottle and the Oribe Gold Lust Shampoo in the black and white bottle. I think that this shampoo for color treated hair is best for prolonging color, and I have noticed that my glaze has lasted a bit longer than when using other shampoos. I personally prefer the moisture and hydration from the other two shampoos that I mentioned compared to this shampoo, but I do like the shampoo a lot. I do feel that the Moisture and Control Shampoo does provide a lot of moisture and hydration, I have that masque too and love it. The Oribe Gold Lust is good for damaged hair or when trying to prevent split ends. The shampoo for the blonde hair is also a great shampoo, which a hairstylist used on me for years and I recommended to a family member. I think Oribe products are excellent and I have been pleased with most Oribe products that I purchased. I recently switched to using this shampoo and other Oribe shampoos from the Olaplex shampoo and it is definitely worth the extra money! Purchased this product expecting to see results. This an 8.5oz product for $50.00. So my expectations are high as price tag. This product did not work for me. I recently got my hair colored I waited 5 days to have my first shampoo and as I was washing my hair it felt extremely dry. As I was massaging my scalp my hair started tangle terribly- this has never happened to me before. So I proceeded to condition with olaplex. Once out of the shower my hair felt super dry which it was very concerning. After I used a mixed of olaplex #6 and #7 to blow-dry and style, my hair looked fine but NOT BETTER from using Olaplex shampoo, Truss professional or Crew. I do not like using the shampoo from this line (it's good, it's hair a personal preference). I prefer to only use the conditioner to avoid excess purple pigment left on my highlighted porous hair. This conditioner gives me the perfect cool blonde (mild ice greyish tint if I leave it on too long…tbh, I don't mind it, but it might not be for everyone. Just don't leave it on too long if you don't want that!) Another thing to note…purple shampoos and conditioners are typically used by those with bleached hair, meaning you typically don't want a product that dries your hair out. Almost all purple shampoos/conditioners I've tried are going to dry your hair out if you use them alone or too frequently. Solution: use another shampoo/conditioner when using the purple ones! I use this purely for toning my hair. Not as a real conditioner. After applying the Pravana conditioner I follow it up with another conditioner to lock in moisture. I tried this conditioner first with a different shampoo, before adding in the matching Pravana Perfect Blonde shampoo. Love the shampoo. However, this conditioner has issues: 1) Did absolutely nothing for my hair color whatsoever; 2) Made my hair too malleable and soft. Didn't think it was possible to make my hair too soft but it was mushy. I had to use a curling iron just to give it a shape, any shape, because it just mushed up into a ball. Yuck! I will give it two stars because unlike many other hair products, it did not irritate my eyes at all. This is a miracle. And the smell is great. But then, the shampoo has the same great smell, too. No irritation from the nice fragrance. Well done on that score! But overall, not for me. Had better luck with the Pravana Perfect Blonde shampoo and a different brand conditioner. I have lots of fine, straight hair that I'm growing out to its natural silver (for the second time). If I were young, I'd call myself ombre. I really want to give this 5 stars because as a thickening/volumizing shampoo for fine / thin hair it works great. Like STELLAR great. And I know R+Co's signature is their unique scent…but dang this shampoo is overpowering in its scent. Like being doused with a potpourri spray and it isn't a light flowery scent either it is a heady, heavy, intense scent that has maybe musk and amber in it in addition to floral notes. Like one step below the dreaded patchouli stank. If you can handle the scent, awesome, but I just really can't because after a shampoo for 24 hours it messes with cooking, eating, is on my pillow, messes with the light perfume I wear, and people near me have also made comments. I really didn’t expect this brand to live up to the hype. Which might sound odd considering how much I spent on it lol. It REALLY made my hair shiny and healthy looking. I was using Drybar liquid glass (still love it but it just doesn’t produce this kind of result) and Amika flash shine before I got this set. I don’t need anything else when using this brand. My hair looks GLORIOUS!!! I have lost a lot of my volume due to autoimmune diseases and anything “shine” related would weigh it down and make it look oily (except instant flash shine by Amika). With Oribe I don’t have that. My hair has so much volume and looks the healthiest it ever has (chronic hair colouring) and I just can’t say enough about it lol. I use the shine cream too and I was shocked to see it also didn’t weigh down my hair at all. My only complaints are the scent and the fact that the cream isn’t a heat protectant. I don’t like having to add so many products to my hair but I’ll do it for these results. This is great stuff for smoothing, frizz-control, shine, & over-all healthy-looking silver hair. BUT, I only use about half the size of a dime for my chin-length hair. Always start w/less. You can always add more! Rub it between your hands, then apply to dry hair as the last step before hairspray.The only other thing is, the smell is kind of old-school 1970's/80's. Holy COW , this WORKS !!! I have struggled to find a purple shampoo that actually does anything. A little background on my hair. I often will go get my hair done and then life will happen and it’ll be like 9 months to a year before I get back around to coming back again. I thought my brassy, horrific mop was beyond saving but I was wrong. I tried this in the shower and didn’t lather up with it. I smoothed 2x the amount I would use to wash my hair throughout, concentrating on the ends especially. I then went about washing my face and body. I probably left it on about 6 minutes. The first time I used the shampoo I didn’t see a huge difference and I thought well okay I expected that. But the SECOND time I used this as I described, the next morning I woke up and every single bit of the brassiness is gone. I am shocked. My blonde is gorgeous and icy again. The only thing I don’t like about this shampoo is that, while it is not drying, it leaves a weird film on the hair. But that could be removed by doing a second wash with a different shampoo. I used this product on my brown hair to blonde bayalage. I had very prominent yellow streaks in parts of my hair that hadn't been bleached before so with proper maintenance I used this product and the shampoo 2x a week and it kept the yellow from coming through for about a week before I would have to use it again. went through the entire bottles, never wasted a drop. I love my blonde hair, but it can be a pain to keep up with. I wish I purchased this instead of the other brands of purple shampoo for the past years because omg this bottle is amazing I just got my hair coloredbleached and the first week, I used the other brand of purple shampoo and my hair came out dry and coarse. I love using this as a maintenance shampoo for all of my blondes or a pretone for a blonde Im about to use a toner on. This definitely is the most effective out of all toner shampoos Ive tried. This shampoo has dramatically changed my yelloworange highlights to more of a ashplatinum shade. I pour it the texture is not thick on my hair and run it through with my fingers. I then set my timer for 5 minutes. When I have about a minute left I start shampooing then rinse. You have to leave this on the hair more than a few seconds to get the overwhelming effect. This shampoo leaves my hair soft which eliminates a conditioner for me but I do use other products oil, moisturizer, etc on damp hair. Really like this one.Anonymous
I use this shampoo to keep the brassiness out of my hair. Compared to other blonde shampoos, it is amazing and definitely worth the money. However, I only use it about once a week. Any more than that, my hair will become too grey for my liking. The only con of it is that it can be drying. Probably one of the best purple shampoos you can find. I dont have blonde hair and never have. I have pitch black hair but use this for shine and let me tell you it adds shine. And I love the smell, of all milkshake products absolutely love it. Does wonders to blonde hair is well as the purple is super pigmented. Would recommend using in conjunction with a moisturizing shampoo as it may cause dandruff andor, especially in people with dry scalps. Would recommend that blondes or people with greywhite hair use it once to twice a week because it can turn your hair purple. YES I repeat, its so pigment that it may turn your hair purple. So far the best Purple Shampoo I've found. I have not used it long but My hair shines and actually feels thicker and softer. It hasn't really taken out all my brassiness yet but maybe after a few more uses it will. I am transitioning from medium brown colored treated hair to my natural white/grey hair that I'm letting grow out. It is very fine so my hairdresser didn't want to bleach it anymore for fear of damaging it more to get the orange and yellow tone out of it. She just highlighted down to blendable with my natural white/grey hair. That is probably why not all the brassiness is coming out with the Purple Shampoo. So I want to start by saying I live in the desert and have super thin dry hair, so I was SUPER excited to try this product (I used all four products – shampoo, conditioner, mask, and leave in condition together). I used all four products for this account: At first I was only going to give this a 3 because on day one of hair being washed, I feel like my hair still ends of feeling and looking really dry (especially the tips – see photos). BUT day two my hair looked/felt better, and day three my EVEN better! I showered all three days, it only used the products the first day, so you can see the progress of how my hair softened, my curls came out, AND I LOVED how my hair felt day 3/4. Normally with silicone products day 3 I HAVE to wash my hair again because the product is so heavy at my roots, whereas I LOVED how these products made my hair feel several days later. I still took off a star because of how dry my hair feels on day one. I have to suffer through one day of my hair bit feeling so great to get to better hair days, and I don’t really love that aspect. ⭐️First of all let’s get this out of the way, I was incentivized. I received these samples for free from Influenster and matrix for my honest opinion⭐️ Now that’s out of the way… Oh my hair is loving me right now… I waited until shampoo day and it was well worth it! After using the amazing shampoo I was a little skeptical that my hair would take to this conditioner because it’s so damaged and after I wash it I usually have to put a million and one conditioning products in it just to make it manageable!!! Well let me tell you this is not the case! After issuing a decent size dollop I ran it through my hair starting at the ends and working my way up to the root. Then I added a little bit of water to make it activate a little bit and VIOLA! I let it sit in my hair for about 5 to 10 minutes and then I rinse with lukewarm water. I gently towel dry my hair afterwards and went to come through with a white tooth comb. This is the first time that the comb actually ran through my hair because my hair is so damaged. I literally want to cry. If your hair is out of control and it’s breaking to no end you should really try this and give it a little time and you will see such a difference. I want to wash my hair so badly again but I know I have to wait till it’s actually dirty! The smell is so lovely and it doesn’t fade away but it’s also not overbearing. Give it a try it!! I have waited 3 full months to write a review on this shampoo and conditioner set…and I have some amazing things to say. I started pulling out 200-300 strands of hair a day after getting Covid. I started to get scared washing or brushing my hair hair it became that bad. I started using this set every other day for three months and I know only lose 2-5 strands of hair everyday and my hair is growing back so quickly!! I bought the shampoo and conditioner to do something nice for myself as I don't really buy "top" hair products and being a new mom, I felt I deserved a little TLC. I did like the smell and the fact that it's not super tingly but lets fast forward a few weeks after use…I noticed my scalp becoming SUPER itchy, my roots were SUPER greasy, and worst of all, hair loss. It made my hair fall out to the point I have bald spots at my hair line! I realized it was the shampoo and conditioner when I decided to switch and my drain and shower aren't COVERED with hair and my scalp is not nearly as itchy. I absolutely love this conditioner. I have very fine hair but a lot of it. A lot of things weigh it down because my hair gets oily very quickly. This shampoo and conditioner combo is my go to and my husbands. It’s exactly what it says, so invigorating and refreshing. It feels so great on the scalp. It cleans and conditions our hair without leaving it weighed down or dried out. An of course it smells amazing. It’s my all time favorite shampoo and conditioner combo. I started only using a small amount like quarter size Because small bottles big $ didn’t want to use it all in a week or two but that’s what will happen Not much lather at first so next shampoo really indulgent amounts and washed 2 times wow. Let my hair dry naturally and was living my hair for the day Out all day door dashing and found next day the aroma was gone. I was recommended Noughty products after I began experiencing issues with my skin, as wanted to cut out products with chemicals and, in particular, SLS. I was very pleasantly surprised after trying this product. I do find my hair is slightly more difficult to manage while I'm drying it (presumably as it isn't coated in silicone etc that would be in my regular conditioner) but once my hair is dried it feels lovely and soft. This conditioner smells AMAZING! I've used so many shampoos and conditioners over the years and this smells the best out of any of them, and is the only one I can still smell days after washing my hair. I feel really bad about writing a bad review for this how my colour wasn't protected at all. I dyed my hair with Colour Freedom Metallic Glory Silver Violet which of course was bleached before dying however it had completely gone within a month. This of course could be an issue with the hair dye (that's why I've mentioned it) but I just wished it would have lasted longer. The consistency itself is very nice and it's a very Hydrating conditioner so it definitely works as a conditioner and it actually leaves my hair hydrated for more days then I was used to with other conditiones from here however I'm just very disappointed with the colour protecting aspect. I've had the same problem with the shampoo version too. I'd rather spend my money on other products here than this line – purple reign for example worked very well when I had bleached hairPippa G.
My hair is dyed a dark purple; I've been trying to find a vegan, no nasties, shampoo & conditioner that helps the colour last as the colour has leeched a lot with previous ones. I've given 4 stars as the colour does still leech, but not as much as before it seems, so my colour does last longer. My hair is long & fine, but there's lots of it so it appears thicker than it is. This conditioner is great for it! It is thick rather than runny & goes through my hair well, leaving it lovely & soft. This conditioner is 10/10. I have tried “The One� conditioner and have also loved that one as well, but this one has different benefits. For one, it’s super light and not as thick as some conditioners, the slip is great. My hair used to look so dull if I didn’t wash it and now it looks shinier and feels super soft. My hair doesn’t feel heavy. The no fragrance makes a huge difference because I don’t have those extra unnecessary chemicals drying out my hair. One con for this is the bottle size. I should’ve bought a bigger bottle because of my thick hair I have to use a lot of product. The small bottle featured in the photo was between $10 and $13 and lasted me about 2 weeks. Overall I would definitely buy this again, just a bigger size.kell.p
I am not high maintenance at all when it comes to hair care. I prioritize my preference to skincare etc. After running out of shampoo I decided to try this one since I love the Kristin Ess texturizing spray. Biggest mistake! This formula literally caused my head and scalp to become insanely itchy and when you scratch, since the formula is so drying, your scalp gets flaky. It’s not dandruff, but looks like it because of all the flakes. I’m so disappointed with this product. I’m literally running to target tomorrow to find something else because I can’t possibly bear another wash. It’s that drying. Not to mention my hair looks way drier than usual and dull. I used this shampoo only once, and I could feel it making my hair a strange brittle texture as I washed it. I can generally wash my hair and not use conditioner, except for the first week after I get highlights. I could not even run my hands through my hair after washing. Needed to use a conditioner, and then still had trouble getting a brush through it. The bottom 2 inches of my hair remain unmaneageable since I used this product. Now I am forced to use conditioner just to brush through my hair after washing, even though I am using my previous shampoo. Very unhappy that it basically wrecked my hair. My husband, who has virgin hair, has no problem with the shampoo, but does use conditioner. The only reason I even tried this was because there is no scent. That is the only plus. My hair is naturally curly. I tried many products to try and keep the freeze at bay. The humidity where I live is ridiculous. This actually helped me out so so much. My hubby bought me the dyson hair curler set, as soon as I was done the curls would fall and the frizz took over. I wanted to love the dyson, but was really regretting the amount my hubby paid for it. Mixed chicks saved me totally… I gave it a try with my dyson and it actually worked wonders. I air curled it yesterday and they are still looking good today. This does work on all hair types. My oldest daughter's hair is closer to mine with a lot of frizz and my youngest has the brittle hair texture with the tighter curls. Both are also loving this. Price is a bit high, which is why I wanted to do a review…it is worth taking that chance….I am so glad I did.Penny
My go to leave in. Blends in smoothly and my hair soaks up this product. What needs to be improved is the smell of this product because it's underwhelming. Also sometimes the product can leave my curls crunchy if I don't follow up with a smoothing styling cream or an oil. Other than that I find that these are small sacrifices based off the other leave-in conditioners that are on the market that will sometimes leave my hair with lots of residue or no moisturized. I am no hair expert. I have semi curly, semi wavy, straight in some places, a little dry here, a little oily there type of hair. It just doesn’t know what it is doing. I was skeptical to buy this since it was a bit on the pricey side for target makeup. But i really liked the pix blush and foundation so I went with it. I'm really happy i did! i use this daily under my eyes. It has a highlighter for my cheekbones, and a yellowish concealer for purple and a concealer. The coverage is thick but not to heavy so it doesn't crease throughout the day. I used to set it with Makeup Forever setting powder, now i brush very little MAC mineralized powder. I really liked it because its tiny so i can use it for travel, and its convenient for small imperfections on my nose or forehead.
