20 Best Conditioner For Men Thin Hair (Feb 2023 Update)

I'm not much for fragrances but I love the minty/eucalyptus smell. I found this about a year ago and continue to reorder. I have fine, thin hair and this works well adding a bit of volume.kent222

I honestly had doubts about a melon scented conditioner because it didn’t sound like my cup of tea, but don’t knock it til you try it! The scent is both relaxing and therapeutic, plus POWER feels great when you scrub it into your hair. I recommend pairing it with HYDRATE argan oil shampoo (creamsicle AND melon scent combo? I have finally found the conditioner I thought never existed! like the Sam below me said, I too have used CONDITION and this is plain better just for the fact he specified, It stays in your hair, doesn't rinse out and the CRAZY part it works, giving you Volume and I don't need to use Argan oil or a leave in conditioner on days I just want nothing in my hair. Funny part is that it feels as if nothing in your hair when you start using it but everything changes once the water hits it, literary silky smooth and not just a figure of speech, Silky smooth leaving your hair with little tangles unlike when using Condition where I had plenty. I received this sample of Jack Black Beard Lube from Sephora and gave it to my Dad to try out. I'd like to preface this review by stating that my Dad is very much set in his ways and particular about his shaving regimen. For 40 years, he's used the same shaving cream. About 12 years ago (thanks to me), he added a balm that he uses after shaving with his cream to achieve an even closer shave, when necessary – generally, whenever his blade is on its 3rd or 4th use. He shaves his entire beard and sideburns – maintains a full mustache. He shaves daily and is not prone to irritation. Big Pro: He was impressed that the Beard Lube eliminated the need to use the balm to achieve a closer shave; his blade was on its 4th use and the Lube still gave him the perfect shave. He also appreciated how well the Lube softened his coarser hairs pre-shave. Cons: (1) He said it felt greasy upon application – his face did not have the 'clean' feel that his shave cream provides. (2) The Lube left his face oily post shave, so much so that he felt the need to remove excess oils with a warm cloth. This Lube contains oils for conditioning so that makes sense – but oil on the face is not something my Dad is used to and he did not like it at all. He also felt the need to use his regular Balm to give his face the after-shave feel he likes (I guess that fresh tingly sensation scent). (3) The translucency of the Lube made it difficult to see what areas of the face had already been shaven (funny because the translucency is supposed to help you see where you are shaving to avoid mishaps – but he didn't see it that way). Overall, he very much enjoyed the result of the close shave and would purchase the travel size to use while on vacation because it eliminates the need of second shave with his balm (less to pack / carry). He also said it would be handy while on-the-go to take care of a 5 o'clock shadow if there was an event after work. He also likes that he can get longer use out of his blades without sacrificing a close shave or risking potential nics due to a dulling blade — which would save money. For daily shaving, he intends to stick with his 2-step cream balm regimen but he would highly recommend the Beard Lube to men with sensitive skin that becomes irritated from razor shaving. I'm thinking the Jack Black 'Cushioning Shave Lather' may be a better option for some like my father…tiffany michele.r

I love Jack Black products and use way to many of them! I saw someone else mention travel sizes and you responded that there is a 3oz tube. I travel almost every week for 1 to 2 nights and I am carry on only. This means that I am limited to one ziploc bag so fitting all the JB products I use, plus the rest, even in a 3oz size is simply not possible. I also try to reduce my plastic usage wherever possible, so while I kind of live off the samples (and often time orders to so I can get larger samples of things I use anyway, I hate doing that. Ideally you would have smaller, refillable containers that could be used for a variety of different products. I would actually pay good money for that. I've tried using old contact lens cases but that's not ideal because I think too much air gets in and the product degrades.Joshua

Excellent product! Great body lotion part of my daily routine. I usually lather it in after a shower. The lotion absorbs to the skin fast and ideal for moisturizing my skin. It does a better job than others probably because of the ingredients with eucalyptus and aloe. The lotion leaves my skin feeling soft smooth and nourishing sensation. It's my go to body lotion compared to some of the others and I want to wear this lotion daily. What I dislike about it is the small amount 16oz.Jack

A nice and creamy consistensy with tea tree oil that you can actually feel it on your scalp in a freshing way. After shampooing I followed up with Pura d'or 2x Concetrated Biotin Conditioner and it just enhanced what it's shampoo was already doing. Hydrating it to start of with but also making it healthier and more manageble. Love that the shampoo is also color safe so that my mom who colors her hair can use it safely. One of the things that I love the most is what the conditioner does not contain like parabens and phthalates and even dyes. But yet it can still leave my hair nice and soft. Without knots in my hair and without it feeling striped of any nutrients at all. It actually feels hydrated like I said and after a couple of weeks using it I can feel my hair getting fuller too.ingrid0715

It really does make my hair thicker. Less wispy flyaway hair. I've tried another biotin product (one of the iherb brands) but it didn't have any noticeable difference. I already liked this brand from another product they have, I'm glad the brand seems trustworthy after all. I still lose hair but at least with this it looks less flat. I was going to upload the picture of the shampoo liquid itself but the bottle stole the show that had to submit that instead, it looks like a small cologne bottle, but it is shampoo! and guess what, smells like a good manly fragrance too. Tried the product and I loved it, obviously didn't feel instant results about the moisture part but the nice aroma it leaves in your hair it's perceived from the first use. I suffer of dry skin, that also includes scalp. After a week of usage I noticed reduced dryness, thank god. Maybe or not important for you, but it is cruelty free, it is not tested in animals, which also gives confidence that was meant for humans by humans. Give it a try!Orion

I wanted to write a review on this product and express my sheer disappointment in its performance. By far though, this is the worst Conditioner I’ve ever used! I have it two stars because yes my hair is slightly softer than if I didn’t use conditioner at all, but this product doesn’t soften or condition my hair anywhere near as good as other products I have used including suave, dove, and others. This conditioner is quite runny and not very thick like a typical conditioner is, and I blame this for why it doesn’t work. I feel like whatever this is made out of just isn’t quite as good as a typical conditioner is. My hair is all weird on the ends and just isn’t soft like I desired. Because of this, I won’t be continuing to purchase this product anymore. I will buy a different brand as I know how it will effect my hair. I will include a 2 day picture and a 2week picture for comparison. The 2 day picture is the one in which my hair isn’t curly. I found the fragrance to be very pleasant. It reminds me of wet bark or moss on river rocks. It also has a sweet gardenia note. My hair was already in good shape prior to testing the Blackwood conditioner so the best I can say for it is that my hair is still in good shape. It kept my hair soft and silky. If you're into woodsy smells then this would be a good option. My only issue with it is the container. Sadly in my area I can’t recycle number seven plastics, your location may differ. I also find that the nice looking bottle will keep me from using all the product up, so not that economical. But on the plus side it has a pump and that will help with portioning.gaby

I've only been using the shampoo and conditioner for less than a month, so I can't really comment on the growth element of it (I think that'd take more than a month anyway, to be honest), but I can say I've been really enjoying using these products. The very first thing I noticed after using this for the first time was how much easier it was to comb my hair through after getting out the shower – as someone with pretty long hair, this was really impressive, as usually it takes me ages to detangle it! The next thing I've noticed is how much less hair I'm seeing in my brush/comb when I brush or comb my hair now – there used to be loads, but its definitely reduced since I started using the shampoo and conditioner. The smell of both is lovely, nice and fresh and minty, and I feel like it really nourishes my scalp. Having to leave the shampoo on for 4 minutes and the conditioner for 3 minutes took a bit of getting used to (I'm usually a wash-rinse-and-go kinda gal) but I've just been busying myself with doing other stuff whilst I've left it to do it's thing! I haven't quite finished both bottles yet, so I will continue using them until I have and see if there has been any more difference to the growth of my hair. I'm 99% sure I'll repurchase, for no other reason than to keep using it so I can see if this will actually make a difference to my fine, thinning hair! All other products to help stop hair thinning are super expensive so to find something like this which is much cheaper is much, much better because even if, ultimately, it doesn't work, at least I won't have forked out nearly £40 on some chemical hair loss treatment that probably isn't great for my poor scalp – at least this feels nice and natural. I have used the products for 5 months without results. I think it's time to try something else. I have waited 3 full months to write a review on this shampoo and conditioner set…and I have some amazing things to say. I started pulling out 200-300 strands of hair a day after getting Covid. I started to get scared washing or brushing my hair hair it became that bad. New look… NOT the same great formula. What were Paul Mitchell thinking ruining this? I had just finished my old bottles of the shampoo and conditioner when I repurchased huge liters because I never wanted to be without it. What a let down. The conditioner is super thin and doesn't smell the same. It is a pale bright green color, whereas before it seemed to have no dyes at all. It used to be thick and gorgeous and made my hair softer than anything else. I'm not exaggerating, this new formula is the worst conditioner I've ever tried. It provides no moisture. When I run my fingers through my hair while the conditioner sits (I do this to evenly distribute it), my fingers get caught in my hair. A sign the conditioner isn't doing its job. After I rinse my hair feels moisture was lost. This stuff causes breakage on my long, thick hair. It's a joke that they're still calling this by the same name. I love this shampoo and the matching conditioner! I tried it out when I got my hair cut at the salon in November of 2019 and loved the tingly feeling it gave my scalp. Got a travel size of both when I went out of state to visit family, and fell in love with the products. Purchased the full sizes after returning home, then re-purchased when I ran out. My scalp tends to get itchy and this set helps to relieve it. It leaves my hair shiny and smooth with great volume. It was also nice to have this around when my daughter and I picked up a case of head lice! Tea Tree, mint, and lavender are used in some of the natural lice repellents and this product makes no claims against lice but I think it may have helped. In the past year (plus a little) that I've been using this set I have used some of my other shampoos and conditioners (empty bottle challenges, anyone?!) but my hair loves me when I come back to my Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Special Shampoo and conditioner! You do spend a lot more money and the reason why I bought it is because I have seriously bad dandruff as well as scalp issues and when I went to the hairdresser she definitely recommended it I got it put in my hair just to try it out and it instantly changed my hair and treated the scalp well and a turnaround to make my hair super soft and shiny I kid you not I’ve been having issues for years I now have the big size bottles of this and they work wonders. I first came across EMJ at my local Walmart as I was looking to get into using beard products. I read about the benefits of using beard oil. Every Man Jack makes beard oil, gentleman. And let me tell ya, it works pretty great. The scent is fantastic, and lasts all day. It softens your beard, and makes it manageable. I have used this conditioner for a couple of years. As someone with rather dry, dull hair I always aim to find the most nourishing haircare. The texture of this conditioner feels rich and creamy and spreads nicely throughout the hair. The scent is amazing and smells like coconut in the best way without being overly sweet and overpowering. This conditioner does a good job at nourishing my hair and making them feel soft. I would however not recommend pairing this with the shampoo as I found it to be pretty drying.Lulu9149

Well, just why pay this much for anything? If you are still wondering why you don’t get your dream hair yet, that’s just because you didn’t use this amazing hair product yet. Straight hair – olive fruit (could even get away without conditioner – here’s free money saving trick) ; curly or relaxed or “permed, bleached, and relaxed” (this was my hair), you really need this coconut line for your slightly wavy or very curly hair. And don’t save money, get this conditioner. A few years into using Kiehl’ so I got a bit too too adventurous with my hair experiment. I didn’t use it when I got it bleached permed and relaxed (there’s too much drama involved ) but my hair is now coming back to life a couple weeks back on them. My relaxed hair still had a dry and fragile texture, but using this coconut conditioner restored elasticity and the softness of it. Winter is really harsh on hair, usually my hair would lose softness completely through constant freezing. But do remember to let your conditioner sit 1-3 mins on your hair, you do want the good stuff to actually go into your hair.Ruthe Xin

I highly recommend this product! I purchased it because its chemical free . It will not lather much because it doesn't have the chemicals that mostly all of the products has. My daughter is 11yrs and has curly hair . She does not have color in her hair and it works wonders….its by far the best product I've found that works for her hair !! Anyone who dyes their hair copper knows that copper pigmented hair dye will not stay onto the hair particle for long. A brand new copper color hair do will last about a week or two before it fades into a honey brown color, and eventually a yellow-brown color. With this in mind, there are products that will help to prolong the dye coloration and slow down the fade process, and I turn to Redken shampoo every time​ to get the job done whenever I need to prolong my copper dye. I use this along with the Redken conditioner Color Extend and shampoo three x a week, conditioner once a week, and my copper pigmented color will last about 2 months before it fades onto a honey brown and eventually to a yellowish brown by the 4 months mark. Which is a major improvement from other regular Shampoo options in the market. This also has a great scent and will leave your hair super soft and manageable.keyline.d

I recently wrote a review for the shampoo that goes with this conditioner and it may be helpful also. This system for thinning/hair loss is unlike anything I've used before! I have light thinning in front right near my hairline from always having my thick, heavy, curly hair tied up in a bun or ponytail on top of my head. it's slowly pulled my hairline back, and I also have thin spots from parting my hair in the same spot every day for a long time. After using this conditioner along with the matching shampoo and treatment spray ONCE I saw a difference in how thin my hair looked. I am impressed. BUT this conditioner and the shampoo are mint scented and give a very intense cooling effect on the scalp and the feeling stays on your scalp for quite a while after rinsing… maybe 30 minutes or so. And any time air blows on you it reactivates the cooling sensation. Not as intense as when it was initially applied, but still enough to be unpleasant. Aside from the uncomfortable, highly unpleasant sensation on the scalp, this product is a great one. I would definitely recommend it to people who suffer from thinning/loss of hair.tara.j

I received the Nioxin System 1 (3 pieces) for free for testing purposes. These are my own opinions. First, I’d like to share that I’ve been using the 3 piece set (shampoo, conditioner and scalp treatment) for a little over a month. I do not shampoo my hair daily and I try to go as many days as possible in between washes. That being said, I still saw some results in the short amount of time I used this product. First, the shampoo leaves your hair feeling clean. The smell is pleasant and there is a cooling, tingling sensation with these products that I really enjoy. My scalp can be on the dry side sometimes and it’s been looking clear with no irritation. The conditioner is nice and a little goes a long way. I massage the shampoo and conditioner into my scalp and I try to keep both products on for a few minutes in the shower so they can “sink in and work their magic�. After the shower I wrap my hair in a hair towel to absorb most of the moisture. Using a wide tooth comb, I detangle my hair, make a part on my scalp and spray the scalp treatment. I continue this all over my head. Comb-part-spray. I massage this product into my head and then style as usual. Ever since having kids (7 years ago) my hair has gone from crazy thick to thinning. It’s depressing and scary. I’ve collagen and biotin but I didn’t notice much of a difference. After using Nioxin for this short amount of time, I’m already seeing baby hairs!!! I’m hoping it’s new growth and not breakage. It looks like new to me. I wish this campaign was longer so I could have more time to know for sure. I’m happy with the results. After just a few weeks of use, I noticed my hair part looks less scarce than it used to. In order to read the instructions for this product, you need to peel a sticker, which removes some of the ink and makes them difficult to read, so I assume that this product was supposed to be used as a regular conditioner. After a couple of uses, I decided to read the instructions to make sure that I was using it correctly and that’s when I found out that you are supposed to apply the conditioner from the roots to the tips of your hair. I used it in that manner about four more times and that’s when I started noticing more dramatic results. The only thing that I would change about this product is that I would print the instructions on the outside of the sticker so it’s easier to read them. I highly recommend this product.giannina .g
