I'm going to start this review off by saying that I am definitely not a contour or makeup expert by any means! However, I did find this contour palette was very easy to use! It comes with 3 shades, contour, sculpt, and illuminate. There is a diagram and explanation printed inside the cover. The consistency is a little waxier than creamy, but still works well. This product did not break out my oily acne prone skin at all. It also has a pretty good staying power. I think this is a great product for it's price and especially for a beginner.chelsea.m

What do I think about this product? It does what it’s suppose to do! Cons? Not really and there isn’t really anything for this brand to change to make it better. Also, affordable ? Another impulse buy from L'Oreal, a brand I haven't used in decades. This product isn't perfect, but I love it: Perfect shades for my skin, the LIGHT shade compact. PERFECT contouring shade for my chubby nose! The lighter shade is easy to work with, no shimmer or sparkle, just a good flattering glow. I've begun to use this to set my undereye concealer . . . . lovely! The the darker side is hard and seemingly dead to the touch of a brush – I wish this shade was softer – but it does pick up. I've never found a face powder shade so perfect for contouring – I've had to use eye shadows. The pan is rocky in the cheap Wet n Wild-like plastic case; I wouldn't mind if it was all sturdier. I don't know why but I anticipate this being discontinued….if so, I'll be purchasing a back-up or two on Ebay. (It occurred to me, now 60 years old, that I needn't keep many back-ups any more, just a couple…..I don't have the years left to use them! lol)mariana.b
This product is okay, it's not highly pigmented. The brush is poor quality and tends to fling product everywhere. The colors are good shades. I use the Infallible 24hr pro matte foundation in Natural Beige, and the Infallible pro matte 16hr powder in Nude Beige. I chose the Medium Contour…the colors work well together. The product is so finely textured it's almost like working w a loose powder and it crumbles easily. I feel like a lot of the product is wasted. This product will also cling to dry spots on your skin which can ruin the texture. I use a hydrating mask every night and this product is still a little dry feeling on me. Works best if applied with individual brushes, so if you want to buy this simply to save time by using a swipe n' go method, don't bother.cioly.f
I really liked the tones on this palette however it looked quite muddy on me and I couldn’t get it to blend nicely. L’Oréal is affordable make up so I don’t mind buying different products until I find something that works for me. This is an indispensable item in my make up kit. I use it every single time I apply make up. The creamy texture ensures the area under my eyes is easily and well covered without pulling on the delicate skin or giving a crépey dry look. As a background of my skin, I have some acne, dark spots, pretty good undereye circles, and a warmer complexion (so I have some yellowish spots) that easily tans. This stuff has been great! I love the yellow for under my eyes, green for acne, and the purple for some of my more yellow spots. I've also tried the peachy bottom left shade for dark spots (I'm not sure what color would be best for those but that one works fine.) It's super pigmented – which is great because obviously that's what we want out of products, BUT it took me a few tries to figure out the right amount of product to use. I've been searching for a dupe for the MAC palette because I'm afraid of one day not being able to find it online. It's discontinued This is a good replacement. This is a really beautiful versatile contouring palette! It’s warm tones and I primarily use it as eyeshadow honestly. Yes, eyeshadow!! I guess you can call it contouring your eyes. It looks so natural and if you use your contour color (or bronzer) as your eyeshadow as well it harmonizes your whole face, give it a try if you have never done it! The yellow in this makes a really bright under eye, maybe for photo shoots or events. Wouldn’t do that daily basis. But the light colors look beautifully on your inner corners of your eye. It’s a powder texture but easy blendable with buildable coverage. All colors are matte warm neutrals except for the shimmer highlight. I personally don’t like the brush if comes with. Rephrase I actually love the brush it not for contouring! It is too stiff and makes harsh lines and doesn’t blend too well! I would suggest a angled contour brush or even a fluffy powder/bronzer brush. That’s personal preference I guess. It’s just really difficult to apply with the provided brush in my opinion.gabriela .w
This was the first contour palette I ever used and… i'm just going to say it….it's the best contour palette ever for fair skin. I have KVD shade + light contour palette and ABH cream contour palette, and have used their powder contour palette as well, but I ALWAYS go back to Lorac's. This palette gives you the definition of a contour, like chiseled, model-like bone structure contour. The powders are so soft, fine, light, and pigmented that you don't need to use a heavy hand to work with them. They sit on the skin beautifully, whether you set your face with powder after applying foundation or just use these right on top of your foundation, they blend out so nicely. I love KVD's contour palette, but sometimes it looks a bit pink on me and I have no idea why, while the ABH one can be a bit too warm, but still great. Lorac's just NEVER looks pink, too warm, or muddy. These contour shades are all have a cool undertone to them so they really do contour as if your face had natural shadows, even the warmest shade. I also want to mention how long this palette has lasted me considering I use it almost every day; I've had it for about 4 years now and I still have not hit pan on any of the shades except the highlighter. The highlighter that comes in this palette is SO beautiful! I would repurchase this palette again for the highlight alone. It is my absolute favorite out of all the hundreds I own. It manages to look natural but soooo glowy all at the same time and there's a slight shimmer to it without any glitter, I would say pearlized. It's just so beautiful and makes you look so lit from within. It is powdery, but it never looks like it when it's on the skin, especially if you set your face with MAC fix+, it makes the highlighter look even more beautiful. I hate the brush this palette comes with though, it's not great for contouring at all and I think Lorac should just stop selling the brush with this palette (also think Lorac should sell the highlight in this palette as an individual highlight), and I recommend using a defined, fluffy contour brush for best results.amber.f
I ordered this during a 21 Days of Beauty sale. I'd considered it so many times but it was never something I felt I needed. I prefer, and mostly use, cream contour palettes. I still use my cream contours but now I "set" the cream contours with this palette. I've had my fair share of other powder contour palettes throughout the years but have given them away because I just love cream products and would rather not have expired makeup when someone else could use them. I've always enjoyed Lorac shadow palettes, mainly yearrrrs ago but still have my favorite Pro 3. These powders are VERY nice, too. Quite powdery, especially the two setting/highlight shades. But that doesn't bother me personally. I use the medium contour shade over my cream contour, then set certain areas with the yellow shade. I really like this palette. And I always have used bronzer, but this holds my contour so much longer, literally all day till I take my makeup off. I haven't used it by itself, but I imagine it's probably great as a lone contour. As for the brush, it's not the best brush for powder contour because it is quite stiff and could possibly move your foundation or cream products. It's likely personal preference, too, as I prefer longer brush hairs for this. But it does okay for me the couple times i tried it. It does the best on the forehead and jawline. I’m not a fan of this highlighter/bronzer and I’m not 100% sure why because most of the time wet and wild cosmetics is fantastic especially when you factor in the money. Perhaps it’s because the light color basically fell out of the pallet shortly after it was purchased and I was able to crush it with my mortar and pesto and still be able to use it with a brush. The color of the lighter color is very similar to the bareMinerals well rested under eye concealer which is the bomb Diggity! But when I used it under the eyes even though it was the same color it wasn’t the same consistency to yield the results I was hoping for. The darker color is good but again it’s really not any better as far as applying it or blending it than any other type of dark color. This is an odd palette for me. I like the contour shade okay but the highlighter isn't helpful at all. I can't even tell it's on. I'm used to a highlighter that gives a little glow and this doesn't do that. So I basically just use the dark shade for under my cheekbones, jaw and hairline and maybe the sides of my nose to give it that chiseled look. I will use the light shade under my eyes sometimes because it reminds me of more like a banana powder than a highlighter and works well to brighten the eye area. So all in all the palette is useful to me, just a little differently. Plus I think the contour will blend better with a color other than what I use which is a rose color. I used a different highlighter on my cheeks in the pic but used this one under my eyes.BeautifulMess53
This stuff is ORANGE. Not a contour color at all. It makes you look like Snookie. At first I thought maybe I could use it as an eye palette since it wouldn't work for contour but not only is this stuff orange it also stains your skin. I tried it when I first got home (thank goodness I didn't try it before I went out somewhere) and it was the hardest thing to get off. I even double cleanse. After a first cleanse with oil I washed my face and it still was there. So I washed again. Still there. I had to scrub my face to get it off and I'm still finding some places where I'm orange. I personally love this palette as the colours work perfectly with my skin tone (fair). Unfortunately I don't think it would work as well with darker skin tones. The formula of the product is gorgeous as it blends out so nicely. Depending on how much product you begin with, the coverage is definitely buildable. Its easy to create a natural or defined look using the palette. It also is very affordable and it does last. I this pallete it had a very light shade then a slightly darker shade and then another darker shade, with the bronzer/ contours, there is a cool tone colour for contour then another contour colour that is a little lighter then the other and a bronzer shade, I usually just mix the three dark shades together and it gives the most beautiful look ever !!! 10000% recommendbethany.l
This is a good contour palette to have, it gives 3 different highlight shades and 2 different contour (dark) shades and then a bronzer. Easy to apply and easy to blend. My daughter has a skin issue due to allergy shots and her face has alot of black marks. Her forehead is darker than the rest of her face, We used many products, nothing really works except sensitive soap and I was trying different make up products to cover the marks and it didnt look that great UNTIL we came across this at Dollar , and it was on clearance for $3. Let me tell you how good her face looks like she isn't wearing any make up AT ALL. And shes 12, so make up isn't really something I'd let her do but because of the marks I didn't want her to feel bad. This stuff is TRUE COMPLEXION. Okay so this palette, it’s not really a 3. But it’s not quite a 4 for me so I’d give it a 3.75! ⭐️ I bought it a while back, maybe 2 years ago…used it for a little then stopped. I recently started using it again, for the last 2-3 months now and have revamped it. It’s not that I don’t like it. I think it’s great BUT I don’t think it’s that effective on my complexion. I am not dark skinned but I am more brown skin and the “contour” and “sculpt” powders in it, don’t do much for me. I love a good contour so that’s a bit disappointing. HOWEVER, I still use it everyday—but not as a contour or sculptor. During the summer time, my skin tone obviously gets dark so I use the powders to even out or “color correct” my foundation and powders because sometimes they look a little too ashy or have a red undertone. During the summer time, I prefer a warmer brown tone. So this definitely does the job for me! Also, I love a little body highlight in the summer so recently, I used the “gold highlight” powder and use a big fluffy brush and glazed it all over my neck and upper chest (tastefully of course) and everyone loved it! So that plus points for that 🙂 Again, the palette didn’t do for me what it was meant to do but I found a way to make it work. I haven't contoured and years, but decided since I gained weight I would benefit from some contouring. I purchased the darker palette and the lightest contour is perfect for my olive complexion. It applies smooth and it is easy to blend. I used the highlighters on the shadow of my bags, the arch of my brow and to highlight my nose and it worked well, because their is very little shimmer I could use it in more places on my face including in the wrinkles on my forehead. It does a great job of minimizing my problem areas as well as highlighting. The chocolate color contour make great eyeshadows. The contour don't have shimmer. So happy I rolled the dice on this contour kit. I am nearly 50 and finding a good natural look has been a challenge. I have tried all Kinds of foundations, concealers and all, no matter how hard I use my beauty blender, end up looking cakey and like you can see the product. So instead of enhancing me, I just look Makeupy. Not attractive. I Finally found my dream combo. I put the Smashbox primer if I am going out first. Then my Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer on my face and neck. Blend in. THEN do my countouring with this pallet. Highlights under the eyes, side of the nose, chin, etc. Darker under my cheekbones, lining my face, And I learned how to nose contour. WOW. It looks So natural, and really, the little bit of contouring looks amazing. I am 100% happy with the colors and staying power of this product as well. I prefer powder contour to cream anyway. They are just the right shades for my skin tone. The colors perform really well throughout the day and are easy to blend. I don't love this palette. I have a couple of issues with it: there is a lot of fallout when you pick up any of the powders. I can't pick up any contour, bronzer, or blush without getting that powder on the rest of the palette. My second issue is with the pan spacing. I have no issue with the pan sizes but they are too close together. It is difficult if not impossible to get any product without inadvertently picking up product from the pan beside it. Overall, the colors work well with my skin tone (except for the darker highlighter), the blush is vibrant and the rest look decent. However, with the fallout and mixing issues that I mentioned above, I would not buy this. I will use it since I have it but if I could go back, I wouldn't buy this and I won't be repurchasing it.GingeMadi
This palette is great but I'm right in between the 2 "highlight"/shimmer shades, one is too cool and ashy for my cheeks and the other too dark so I use them both for eyeshadow. I've taken this palette all over the world with me and am on my 2nd one. It's also great for a 5min face(including eyes) before work, can just use this and four brushes if I skip cheek highlighter. If you're getting fallout try using a softer brush! I wish Sephora carried the Medium/Dark version of this palette (I don't know why in the world they would only stock the Light/Medium one!) for all of those who wrote reviews saying this is too ashy/chalky, it's probably because you don't have the correct shade. NO palette is universal. I took one star off my review because I think it's ridiculous that they only have this 1 available. It's so hard to find contour & bronzer shades that don't turn orange on my fair skin but this pallet was exactly what I've been looking for! The contour shade is cool enough to look natural & the bronzer is just a hint of tan glow. The matte & shimmer highlight are just the right amount of glowy. The blush is a little too warm for winter so I do swap that out with a brighter pink for now but it will be perfect for summer! It's super rare for me to find a pallet I use every pan in but I do with this one. There is some fallout but the pigment is great so just be sure to tap off your brushes before applying & you wont notice. It really melts into the skin for seamless coverage & stays put all day. It also comes with a guide of where to apply each shade on the face which was super helpful to get it just right. Can't recommend enough!kwest

A great, starter contour palette! “If the boys knew we could shapeshift, they’re going to call the church!” This is the perfect palette to use for your beginning shapeshifting powers LOL. You can play scientist and mix the colors to build a better suited shade for you. Really good so far! I thought I’d try all the shades but end up sticking to one that’s a favorite. Instead I ended up using all the different shades to create a custom contour depending on my mood that day. It makes me feel like an artist, and if you’re the sort to enjoy playing with makeup, I would definitely recommend this palette. It doesn’t last more than a few hours on me, but very few skin/base makeup rarely does due to my super oily skin. My Roxxsaurus palette is super beat up and used but that just shows how much I love this product. I have no complaints and no cons to mention about this palette – It's super pigmented, the shades are beautiful and very easy to blend. The palette has 8 shades in total – 2 of the contour shades are a bit lighter, better for light skin tones and the other 2 shades are warmer, deeper tones. The highlighters are all super pigmented, 4 beautiful shades that are all pretty different from each other. This is my go to palette, especially for traveling since it has all I need and without having to carry so many different products. I definitely recommend this product!dayana.g
I'm a fairly pale skin tone and I find that the top two bronzer/contour shades work perfectly for my skin however I find that I can also use the darker shades for brown eyeshadow/liner. The colors blend really well and aren't too pigmented which allows you to build up their color. The top two highlights also work really well for me. They aren't chunky highlights but you can build them up to be blinding or keep them light for a natural glow. The only thing was that I wasn't sure if the top right highlighter would be too yellow for me, but it was a good natural glow. Also the bottom highlighters would be great for more tanned skin or even eyeshadow! They do lean more towards a foiled look if you add a lot. OK, so this pallete will last me a while, but the shades are so perfect for my (true) medium skin, i kinda wish i got 2!! My undertone is a golden peach which technically make me warm, but warm contours look red like clay on my skin. Cool contours look grey or like dirt. With the exception of the 2 highlighters on the top right, this pallete is great for medium, neutral undertone gals. The contours are a little powdery but i think texture is what makes it easy to blend (even if u suck at blending and always seem to always have harsh lines!!) and also great for dry skin. I'm not a blush person at all, but would've been nice to include at least one to truly have all in 1 pallete. And the bronzers?!?!!? to die for!!! I love the way this product goes on and love the effect. However, it made my face break out in exactly the spots were it was applied – and I never had issues with breakouts on my cheeks or chin line before. It seems to be mostly the darker color with the lighter one coming in a close second. No issues with the highlighter one. I had to stop using it which stinks because it is pretty new and I actually liked it. I washed all of my makeup brushes first to make sure it wasn't that, but the problem persisted.LexSC
This contour kit is the perfect travel size product to take with you on the go. The brush itself isn't so bad and I like the size to use to contour my face. The product is VERY powdery, use a light hand when using this powder. I love the contour color of this product because it is perfect for my NC20-25 skin. I love it so much that I actually hit pan very quickly on the contour color. I also use this contour kit as eyeshadow as well. I do like the fact they have instructions on how to apply the product as they recommend but I feel like the highlight powder is a bit too much or powdery for my under eyes or for the face that I like using it more for a eyeshadow base color instead. The bronzer is a nice bronzer color but I have other bronzers I love more.hue.v
I purchased this primarily for the contour/light tan color since I was having trouble finding a matte cool toned powder. I love the two tan shades and use the lighter tan color for contour (cheek hollows, jaw and as an eye shadow) and use the warmer tan for bronzer. The bronze shade is actually almost the exact same shade as Too Faced matte in medium. I rarely use the lightest color which is meant to brighten (the color is a matte beige). There is a mirror on one side of the compact too. The only negative is that the colors are not highly pigmented but I don’t mind that since I’m fair. I think it’s great that a little brush comes with it and works well for highlighting but is too small for bronzer for me. To be honest, I didn’t think I was going to like this as much as I do but I’ve found myself reaching for this everyday and it’s perfect for traveling.lauren.n
