Pots look very nice. They have a very sturdy feel. Shipping was very quick (5 days). The color yellow is not as vibrant as I would like. The color is more like a pastel yellow as opposed to a nice bright/vibrant yellow.Ayrriel

I was so excited to be able to give my daughter-in-law her dream pots and pans for Christmas. They are now nightmare pits and pans. I am so embarrassed to have given her this junk. She followed the directions to the letter yet they stick and look horrible. I expected quality with this name brand but I would have been better off going with a cheaper brand. I have a set of Reverwear I have been cooking with for 35 years and they have never stuck and been unable to get clean. They look as good as they did the day I bought them.mfindley

I wanted to switch to stainless steel cookware because of the health safety of them. Everything I read said you must have the 3-ply sets. But they are very heavy and I have very arthritic hands. I then discovered the single ply with reinforced bottoms. I thought I would chance it. I was also used to cooking on non-stick pans and was concerned. But they've been wonderful. The first 2 things I cooked were eggs. You just need to use butter or oil. But when I made poached eggs they came clean easily too. Just keep Barkeepers Friend close by. They also have measuring lines in the pots which is great. Better yet are the lids made so that you can drain the pan without a collander. I've only had them for 2 weeks, but so far we are very pleased. I read multiple reviews and finally decided on this set because Calphalon rated well and that is what I had been using for 20 years. Love the heat distribution, and covers. All of the pieces are equal quality. Bug step up from my old set. I am not having an issue with cleaning. I suppose im not afraid of butter… i mean you say alot and mean half a tablespoon at best …i mean half a stick. Anyway although i am not scared of butter…this is not exclusive to this brand of pans. All pans stick unless you use some sort of spray or oil or butter Theres always tips and tricks for cleaning pits and pans because its a thing. I find if you grease any pan and try not to burn food it will clean easier. I dont understand faulting the pan for bad cooking or cooking mistakes. It is not the pan making the food stick…its you. I’ve been a line cook for 5 years and worked with a lot of nonstick sets turning out thousands of eggs for brunch service. Misen exceeded my expectations. My only critique is that the set is maybe a touch heavy, but I’ll happily take that in exchange for how fast and evenly it heats. Great product in my opinion.Ben W.

Me and my wife have been married for 35 years. We have gone through some cookware. Misen is the first company to educate customers on how to handle and care for and protect non-stick cookware. We have the set of 3 frying pans. We have had them for 2 years and with the care instructions that we learned from Misen they are still like brand new. Not a scratch on the inside at all. I have had Analon cookware for years. They say you can use metal. No, no you can’t, because eventually the get scratched just enough to no longer be slick. I had decided, even before I got Misen, to not use metal utensils regardless of what the manufacturer states. So, when I read no metal utensils, I was all in. We bought this set to replace an old non-stick set and to "match" our existing stainless set. To say I am impressed is an understatement! The look and feel of these pans is amazing. While these pans require more care than I was giving my last set, it's so worth it. Our food tastes better and clean up is a breeze. I like this set and I was super excited when I first got it. I hand wash them only and only use silicon/wooden utensils when cooking. I really do take good care of them. However, after a few uses the exterior of my pan browned and the interior scratched! I really don't know how it can scratch from a non metal utensil. Also, the strainer part of the lid for the stock pot came bent and I had to manually unbend it which still isn't perfect. I would've been more satisfied if I received it all in top condition for their price. Basically, what really bugs me the is the overall quality of the set for the price. The warranty states that it doesn't cover any browning from normal wear and tear but for their prices, they should accommodate at least something for it since they don't stay in the new condition even after only a few uses like they say they would. We bought these pots and pans for our son and daughter-in-law for Christmas. They registered for these for their upcoming wedding. They couldn’t wait until the wedding to use them. Received my set and was very happy with the appearance. It wasn't too long before I discovered these pans don't do good in the dishwasher, we used the mixer to whip potatoes and it scratched up the interior so we won't be doing that again. And if the heat is too high it will mess with the appearance of the bottom of the pans. Last weekend I used the 9" cake pan and the cake was stuck and ruined. So what is advertised in regards to this set is most definitely incorrect. Very disappointed. Stay away from these pots and pans, I should've read the reviews before purchasing.Natalie Longsine

I purchased one of these and it started sticking after 6 weeks, progressively got worse. I never used heat higher than medium, never used it in the oven past 350 degrees (although it says you can go up to 400 degrees), never used any non-stick sprays (these will DEFINITELY ruin your pan!), never used metal utensils (or hand mixers, etc.), always used only soapy hot water to clean the inside surface. I will NEVER buy this pan again! ANY non-stick pan that won't last past 2-2 1/2 years is NOT worth purchasing. If frying chicken or ?? in oil, I use my WELL-SEASONED cast iron skillet. For everyday use (eggs, grilled cheese, etc.) I purchased a Tramontina commercial non-stick restaurant fry pan – I'm on my 2nd pan which lasted 2 1/2 years (using the same hints as above – i.e., no metal utensils, don't cook past medium heat, no non-stick sprays, etc.) I used this pan daily – sometimes multiple times daily so if you want a GOOD non-stick, suggest the Tramontina. Remember, NO non-stick pan will last past 2-2 1/2 years so expect to purchase a new one after that period of time. NOTE: The Gotham Steel will NOT last past 3 monthscoffeejams

I've been using 2 Gotham Steel 10 inch frying pans since July 2018. I use them almost every day and a photo would show them to look almost new. Grilled cheese, quesadillas, eggs, breakfast meats, searing steaks before grilling, chicken in salsa, and much more. On stove top and in oven. Use them smartly and they will continue to look great and do the job; fail to follow the "rules" and they will fail within weeks or days. What are these rules? * When you get the pan, wash it by hand with conventional dish soap (i.e. dawn) and dry. * Immediately "season" the pan with oil (safflower or peanut/ground oil is recommended) on the stove top or in the oven. Google "pan seasoning" to really understand how. * After cleaning in dishwasher, re-season before using. No seasoning, no non-stick! * A properly seasoned pan will need little or no oil for cooking AT LOW TO MEDIUM TEMPERATURES. * Use a minimum amount of oil, +/- a teaspoon, for most foods, in a properly seasoned pan. The "no oil at all" thing is not important to my diet and I use the smallest amount of olive oil sometimes with a little MCT oil mixed in. * NEVER use canned spray oils. The solvent that keeps the oil spray-able will change the non-stick surface, even after as few as 2 to 4 uses! * NEVER cook food on high heat. This will quickly erode the non-stick capability of the pan. Set your burner to MEDIUM heat, or just a little lower and WAIT for the pan to heat up, 2-3 minutes or so. Flick a little water to know when the pan is ready – the sizzle sound will tell you when. * NEVER scrape "stuck" food residue from the pan. After cooking, let the pan cool, fill with luke warm water in the sink and let it soak for 5 minutes or more. I then scrub my pans with a nylon kitchen brush or a nylon mesh pad. After a brief soak, they come amazingly clean with little effort. * Never clean with steel wool or abrasive cleansers like Comet. Key word here is "abrasive". A little baking soda and white vinegar is about the most abrasive mix I would use but I havent needed to go that far as yet. * Use nylon or plastic or wood utensils. Initially the surface seems immune to metal tools but scraping is scraping – both the pan and the tool will erode. Even dentists have to replace their tooth cleaning tools every so often. And don't do the egg-beater thing in the pan! Other than the TV hype, what would the point be? Above all, remember: these are typically $10 to $30 pans. They are not going to last forever. I originally expected 2 to 3 years when I bought them. Now I'm thinking more like 4 to 5. Maybe I'll have to think further out over the next couple of years, and when the time comes, I'll buy more of the same.mnocdb

With no need to "season" the pans, they're right up my alley because being a pretty good cook and baker, it's against my "religion" to burn ANYTHING in a pan! When I got this set of granite stone cookware I was excited to put them to use. After washing them all up I decided to get started. Fried taters in the frying pan, baked biscuits on the flat pan and steamed vegetables in the steamer pot (we like our meat fixed on the grill). After supper I decided to wash them up it was a quick wash-up like nothing had really been used. Well it does say you don't have to use oil/butter with these which my taters have to have butter in them. The next day I made peanut butter fudge and of course I can't stir it with anything other than a metal spoon which I thought would surely ruin it. Let the pot set until I got the fudge rolled out. Clean-up wasn't just wiping it off but it wasn't scrubbing like I used to do. My husband has been using them alot and he's rough on stuff and these still look like they just came out of the box. They can be used indoors and outdoors both so if you want to go camping you could take them along or what you would need. They have a very nice weight to them instead of being light and flimsy like others. It says not to use any non stick sprays and trust you don't need to. They have metal handles which concerned me when I saw that but they actually don't get hot (that is while on the stove). Comes with lids which alternate between the pots and pans. These are absolutely amazing to cook in. Now I need utensils to match. I've posted some pictures but that's nothing compared to what you get in this 20 piece set. I've been using this set of cookware for several weeks now and completely satisfied with their performance. The quality of the cookware is top-notch. The pots heat up quickly and retain heat, perfect for when I make chili and soups. I've used the pans numerous times, cooking eggs, fish, sauteing onions, mushrooms, etc. and never had an issue with the food sticking. Clean up is also quick and easy. Only downside, and I might be nitpicking, but I would have preferred round/oblong handles rather than the flat ones.Pat_88

I've had these for awhile now and I absolutely love them. I was looking for something like this for awhile because you know kids and the hubby would use metal on other nonstick and they got chipped and scuffed not these. Always comes clean with a breeze. The only downfall is yes the lid handles do get hot but that's why I have pot holders for. I don't mind a little inconvenience of that for how easy these are to clean. I have a gas stove and these still have kept their look unlike others I've used. Hands down get yourself a set and you'll love them.Brenda

I've had this set for about 2 weeks. So far the non-stick is working great. I am being intentional to not use abrasive utensils and cleaning pads with them. I am hand washing and drying as well to prevent any deterioration of the finish. Also using everything on a low to medium setting has not been an issue to cook with; only raising it higher for boiling. The design is beautiful, but the color is definitely not copper. The exterior leans to a silver or light rose gold color. I almost returned when I saw this, but realized for the price point, good reviews, and design, this is about the most attractive cookware set you can find.Brittany

I love this cookware. I am from the old school and cook everything from scratch. I made Mac & Cheese the other day and used the large stock pot to mix the milk and cheese together. Usually this is a major problem when it comes to cleanup but not this time. I melted the cheese into the milk and then added the cooked macaroni, mix it thoroughly. I then put the mixture into a baking dish and put it in the oven to bake. Now comes the part I usually hate, cleaning the pot with the milk/cheese mixture. Well, this time it wasn't a problem, at all. Put the pot in sink with warm water and dish detergent, a few swipes with the dish cloth and that was it. Dried it and put it away. End of story.JOYCE

Problems from day with sticking. Says no need for oil but you will never get your food out of the pan if you don't as found out. With or without oil eggs do badly and you end up with part of the egg stuck and having to scrub hard to wash the pans. Pasta sticks to the bottom of the pots while stirring and having oil added. Steaks are a nono unless you don't like to sear them as the surface grabs the meat and won't let go without tearing. Terrible waste of money.eugene

These pots disappointed me completely! i was excited to find them at a good price but i know why. After using them for about two weeks the smallest sauce pan started to peel. After the second time using the medium sauce pan it started blistering. I store my pots hanging from a rack over my island in my kitchen while putting them away my husband dropped the medium sauce pan on to the counter and it bent it very badly. So i would stay away from this set unless you only want them for appearance because they are not cook worth pans.Grammyof3

Bought these 3/31/2021. Love the set and how the look, great to cook with also. But my most used pan, the smaller sauce pan, got one little scratch on the bottom in the inside and since then the coating has started bubbling and coming off. Its finally bad enough that I don't feel safe using it anymore because there are always pieces of the nonstick coating in our food. I dont feel safe feeding it to my kids and will be looking for a different brand to purchase now. My husband bought me a set of these about 3 years ago and I love it. The cookware is still almost like new. It has done everything that was advertised. The only thing I wish could be changed are the handles to make them a little more comfortable. I have neuropathy and sometimes the sides feel sharp on my hands. Honestly moving into my first grown up apartment all my own I wanted to get a set of pots and pans. After a ton of research Caraway came up top. I visited the site and loved all the colors but wasn’t a fan of the silver handle. While digging around I saw they did this collab with Crate & Barrel. First of all the colors are adorable and I love the gold handle. Obviously if you’re a cook your pots will start to get a bit of wear and tear over time but I love them so much. Just wish I had second set for show and one for use. The pots cook great, just don’t overdo it with a hot flame. Even though my pots are pretty worn at this point they cook great and still make me happy when I see them. Honestly debating getting a second set to replace my first one in a few years. They are beautiful! They have a nice weight and the minimalist set is great. But… they are not for people who cook a lot. I’ve had the set going on 2 years and they’re infuriating. They are not non stick, they cannot tolerate high heat, and will never come clean with just a soft sponge. The outside cream color is stained and cannot be cleaned. I love them! Have use them for about 2 weeks now and it works perfectly. The color is gorgeous and does make my kitchen POP. There is some wear in one of the pana we use the most, but with a color so light, I was expecting that. Cleaning in them is a breeze and I love the storage system a lot. It's been half a year since I bought this. I've had many pans over the years, often from Costco or Amazon, I've had many Calphalon pans too. I stopped buying from Amazon because I worry about counterfeit; the other pans I've owned eventually develop scratches to the non stick coating, some even coming off into the food, and it only takes months for this to happen. Throwing pans out is such a waste. This has not happened with this set. No noticeable scratches yet, and as non stick as when I first got them. Also I love how these are stackable and the lids are interchangeable, it really saves room when I live in a small apartment. There's slightly too many pans in here for my use (minus 2 pans would have been a perfect number for how many I use) but since they don't take up much space when stored I don't even notice.Kevin

It seems like every non-stick pot/pan set we would get would get messed up pretty quickly (including other Cephalon sets). We cook at home more and really needed a new set. After reading a few reviews online, we picked this up. It has been months and they still look brand new with minimal effort. They literally wipe clean every time. NOTHING sticks to it. We love these and really found that they were worth the higher cost. The also heat up well, and fairly quickly. I have zero complaints. I purchased the stackable pots and pans approximately 3 years ago. They were purchased because of the features portrayed…space saving, nonstick, and most importantly, DISHWASHER SAFE! The only one of these features that holds true is the space saving and that receives 5 stars. The nonstick is minimal at best at this point and using the dishwasher has ruined just about every piece. The handle rivets have oxidized and along with scratching on the cooking, causes food to stick. The pots outside finish is coming off. It begins with the rim and then the entire pot becomes affected. The first year I had the pots and pans I was so impressed, I purchased 3 more sets for my adult children. One is also having the same problems.Kljones57

Great pan for daily use. Big enough for 1-pan cooking for 2, love the fact it can go into a 450° oven(NOT the lid) to finish my recipes. Fast, effortless cleanup. As described, the fry pan seems to heat evenly. easy to clean. I do not like the handle, the pan is heavy and the handle should be wider with a better way to hold the pan. The pan does appear to cook foods (foods I eat) better than my old pan did, again this is my bias observation. I would certainly think about this purchase providing that you are in the market. I just finished using my new skillet to prepare a lot of my Thanksgiving. It really is easy to use because it conducts heat so well. It’s an easy cleanup too. I’m not the best cook, and it seemed to cook things quickly on a lower heat settings so much less chance to burn things. The only suggestion I would have is to put a small handle opposite the big one in order to help balance it when pouring out of it. Other than that, it’s phenomenal.Koozie

I was pleasantly surprised that these pans are wonderful to cook in and the clean-up is very easy. I expected to pay a lot more for this quality. I just threw away a whole set of name brand pots and pans with the coating that peeled off after only 9 months of use. We are an elderly couple and do not use pans for cooking as much as we use to so we thought those "coated" pans should have lasted longer. I love these stainless steel pans. I wash them by hand and if there is any stuck on food, I add a little dish detergent and a little water and warm that on the stove (just like I do with my cast iron pans), and it comes right off. I bought these pans 2 years ago, and they still work just fine! Overall this is a pretty good deal for how cheap they are. I'm thinking it's time for an upgrade, however. I am an avid home cook, and in addition to this set I use a variety of frying pans. I been using this pan set for 2 weeks now. We make all meals at home and rarely order take out or go out. The first thing I need to say is this: if you have not used stainless steel and are used to non-stick, you have some learning to do! Do your research and learn how to use your cookware. The biggest things to remember: preheat your pan before adding food and use plenty of oil. If your meat sticks, that's a good thing; just wait until it releases on its own to move it around the pan. Later you can add some liquid (water, wine, vinegar, stock, etc.) to deglaze or release all of the lovely flavorful browned bits on the bottom of the pan. If you are a novice, I would recommend that you continue to use non-stick for delicate foods like eggs and fish. Now that that's out of the way, let's get to the review. Useability These pots will boil water! Perfect for making pasta, ramen, and anything with copious amounts of liquid. The bottoms have a tendency to scorch when there isn't as much water present, so you'll want to stir constantly. The frying pan has deep walls, so it will trap moisture and cause less evaporation than a pan with lower, sloping sides. I don't use this one very often, opting instead for non-stick (for ease of use and of clean-up), carbon steel, or cast iron. Again, these pans don't fare so well in a low-moisture setting. The handles are odd. Typically with the two-handled pots, one handle will get hot and one will stay cool during the cooking process, and that's if I use the correct burner size. The lids have vents, but they still rattle loudly when your water comes to a boil. It kind of works as an alarm so that I know the water is boiling – like the whistle of a tea kettle. Durability The casserole/dutch oven type pans are what I use the most, like one would use a sauce pan. Those have held up really well, and with a little bit of Barkeeper's Friend would look brand new. These are lightweight and. Not at all heavy. Easy to move from stobe to oven. The handles are hollow, but I haven't had problems with strength. None of them have bent or buckled. Clean-Up Food comes off of these just fine, although sometimes they require a good soak. We have hard water, so spots are inevitable, and sometimes the "rainbow" effect is too, but with some Barkeeper's Friend they shine like new. My husband blackened the entire bottom of the frying pan, and I anticipate that it will scrub away just fine, because that powder is magical. The hollow handles like to collect water, so I make sure to let my pans dry thoroughly before hanging them back on my wall. The Bottom Line If you're a casual home cook, a broke college student, or just someone who needs to boil water, I highly recommend this set. It's cheap and it works. I opened the box and they didn't smell like metal, the glass lids were sparkling and the stainless finish was like butter. I thought I'd miss the traditional long handles on the pots, but no. The pots nest well about the size of my large double boiler so they store on top of it in the cabinet, I've never had stackable pots before. The bottom of the pans and pots is heavy and thick like the reviews say, and the finish is fine milled. The first thing I did was throw the whole set into the dishwasher. my dishwasher is a small apt size one but this set including the lids all fit in together nicely. After the wash, I noticed still no metal smell like you get with store bought stainless pans. Then I poured some oil in the large fry pan and couldn't believe it that the pan sat flat on my crooked conventional burner, the oil heated up and didn't run all to one side and the pan sat solidly on the burner without rocking. I seared two chicken breasts put the lid on and let them fry under the lid for another 6 minutes. Honestly the best stove top fryed chicken I've made, moist and fully cooked. With the fond stuck on the pan I made a bar-b-que sauce right there with the fond, and the stuck on fats just slurped right up into the sauce and it boiled down without burning the sugar. hardly any stuck on fond after the sauce was done. Easy clean up, oils wash out easily. Cooks evenly, sits on the burner evenly. These pans are lighter than the heavy aluminum teflon pans I had that hurt my wrists to use. These pans are about a third heavier than the Tramontia brand. So glad I was able to purchase this set. I'm gonna throw away all the old ones. Very happy. Got the set in March '22 and yes, I cook regularly but I also usually know how to make things last and the fry pans are already needing to be replaced. I wish I'd bought some old school pots and one non stick fry pan that could easily be replaced. The Pros: look great. When they are non-stick, they are great, but that is only lasted a few months. The storage rack is clever (but doesn't fit in any of the cupboards in my apartment) as is the lid holder. The Cons: Very heavy The handles get extremely hot when cooking – both the actual pan handles and the lids, which because of the design are very difficult to move while also using an oven mit or tea towel The non-stick deteriorates very quickly. I'd say it was only a few months of cooking until I was contacting customer service to find out how to fix the issues with sticking food. I took their advice and boiled a mixture of water/vinegar/baking soda and it does get food off, but doesn't really restore the non stick. I now have to do that almost every time I cook. I used silicone utensils, always cooked at lower temperatures and even swapped to avocado oil to try and avoid staining and sticking. Now nothing cooks well at all – everything sticks and it's only getting worse The size options – I would have liked a smaller general saucepan, but all except the small fry pan are good for cooking for one or two people. I was initially attracted to the eco credentials, but don't count having to now replace these as a positive for the environment.TJ

I loved the idea of the caraway pan set because I wanted clean cookware without chemicals. My pans were so gorgeous upon arrival and worked great! However, after about 3 months of cooking on them everything has stuck to them…. And I mean everything!!! They are extremely hard to clean (and super heavy)! I decided to post this now because I’m getting to the point where I need to replace them which is such a bummer.. I have gotten to the point where my pans have made me not want to cook to avoid the horrible clean up. I normally love cooking & cook eggs daily, but because it is such a terrible process to clean these pans afterwards (10 min of straight cleaning scrubbing.. plus simmering water and soap in the pan itself beforehand etc. and they STILL don’t look fully clean). —I decided I needed to purchase a separate pan for eggs which is also inconvenient. Additionally, I have the cream colored cookware set which I loved at first, but it looks so dirty on the outside and I’ve tried everything to clean it. Really a big disappointment since they were expensive pans. I don’t want to have them sitting out on my counter because they look dirty all the time. Under the cleaning tab on the caraway website I thought they might have some tips for the terrible discoloration or how to clean the pans, but there is no info on either. Really sad about them because I wanted clean cookware, but I can’t use pans that make me not want to cook because of how hard they are to clean… big miss here!Olivia T.

Initially I was afraid to get these due to the negative reviews from folks stating they were ruined/stopped being nonstick w/in a few months. That, however, has not been my experience after more than a year of use. First, I purchased the navy to avoid noticeable stains on the exterior near the bottom — stains will happen when you use a pan to actually cook over a prolonged period of time (but there are ways to remove them), so I chose a color that would minimize the appearance. Second, I have not ever placed these in the dishwasher — not ever! At the time of purchase, I believe the company stated that they are dishwasher safe but recommended hand-washing. I would never, ever, ever, place pots and pans in the dishwasher, no matter what. To be honest, I usually just wipe them clean with a paper towel, but in the case of stubborn food left in them I will do a quick light scrub and wipe in the sink with a soapy towel and some water. The last key thing I have always made sure to do is to never use them above medium heat. They heat very well, and medium or below has always been more than adequate for anything I've cooked in them. Overall, I have been very pleased with these — they look great, cook great, and are just right for someone like me living in an apartment who doesn't need a million different pots and pans and couldn't store very many anyway.Lyss

I've had nothing but excellent performance from both my Hexclad frying pan set and the pot set. After getting tired of cheap teflon cookware that dents, scratches, and contaminates my food, it was time for me to step up to a more professional and safe cookset. I kept seeing Hexclad ads pop up on my social media for months, and finally looked into them thoroughly. Online reviews, Youtube videos, and even Hexclad's own videos and documentation were researched with a fine toothed comb until I made an educated decision to order them and give them a try myself. First, I was truly concerned with how "nonstick" they would be with a manfacturing process that seemed so unique. So, I watched their "how to season your pan" video and also went back online to watch other peoples personal videos on their technique for seasoning and cooking. As soon as I got my new pans, I hand washed them and immediately seasoned all 6 of them with either olive oil, butter, or peanut oil. The non-stick results for me were exactly the same after this process – truly no stick eggs, cheese, seared meat, and about anything else sticky I could throw at them. I'll be honest – I did season a couple of pans 2-3 times before first use, but it wasn't necessary. The pans with the initial single seasoning worked just as good at being non-stick as the ones where I performed it multiple times. I confidently make amazing meals now without having a single issue of food sticking to these products. I'm blown away with not only how well they cook food, but how sexy they look and feel when cooking. Heavy, heat disperses extremely well even on the largest fry pan or stock pot, that hex pattern on the pans gets wows from guests, and clean-up is pretty much instant. I never need to soak these pots/pans – they literally clean up and wipe off just like the Hexclad demo videos show. Thank you Hexclad for not being misleading about your product descriptions or videos – your product truly performs the way you demonstrate. I look forward to cooking with my Hexclad cookware. I probably sound like a commercial, but these products have completely changed my outlook on cooking good food safely and with zero hassle.Adam

Have been using this for several weeks and am VERY impressed with the quality of construction, ease of clean up and non stick surface. The handles are sturdy, ergonomic and are riveted to the pans very tightly. They clean up with hot water, mild soap and very infrequently when blackening meat I need a green scrubbing pad to remove the stubborn blackening. These are much lighter than the cast iron but slightly heavier than the carbon steel. However, the carbon requires constant re-seasoning to keep them from sticking and they will rust if not dried fully and coated after cleaning. The hex clad is MUCH more forgiving to not being fully dry as it is stainless steel. The ONLY reason for not giving 5 stars is that they seem a bit more expensive than they should be. My belief is that if they were 15-20% less they would be well priced to outsell similarly priced competition.Charles

We purchased this to expand our collection and to replace the rest of our cookware after testing the starter set sold at costco for nearly two years. We have used, and wore out several upper-mid level brands of cookware over the years. Hexclad has impressed us. This cookware heats evenly and with use of a small amount of oil or fat rarely sticks. Granted this cookware is not as non-stick as brand new calphelon, t-fal or faberware – but it holds up so much better than these and other brands we have used. Even with primary nylon and some wooden utensil use, and dishwasher jet (not scrubbing) cleaning these nonstick products began to show wear after 6-8 months of daily use. The Hexclad has not shown evidence of wear or degradation of its nonstick qualities in nearly two years of daily usage. This cookware uses less fat or oil and heats more evenly than our stainless steel cookware as well. This is testament of our long term trial of the related pans. New cookware above a certain quality mark is almost always better than the set it replaces… so yes, these pots are awesome, the two year old pans are still awesome too – and in my mind that is the greater accolade. Our previous experience with multiple brands of cookware that cost 70% what the hexclad does, we replaced those at 3-5 years. With the current lack of signs of wear, I anticipate 10 or more years before we consider replacement. In the long run it is cheaper, and better.Chris

The set itself seemed good, and cooks well, but unfortunately the coating started coming off with normal hand washing almost immediately. No dishwasher or harsh soap, and already the coating is gone from most of the set after being used 2-3 times each week for about a month. Would advise getting a different set or from a different brand entirely, for the price this is pretty unacceptable to me.Hunter D.

I cannot sing Tramontina's praises enough! This set is fabulous, sturdy, and not to mention beautiful (I got the metallic copper and it goes gorgeously with my other Tramontina Tri-Ply Clad Stainless Steel Set). I've cooked in these pans every day, several times a day, and they perform wonderfully. I truly feel like Tramontina's cookware makes me a better cook! I did have an issue where the 3 Qt pot was slightly bent on one side so the lid didn't fit securely. I contacted Tramontina about it and they replied same day letting me know they'll send a whole new 3 Qt pot and lid out to me. I was floored by the incredible customer service. If you're going to spend your money with a cookware company PLEASE spend it with Tramontina!AK

This is what prompted me to return this product before I even used it: Before using your cookware for the first time, hand-wash with warm soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly, then season by lightly rubbing cooking oil onto the cooking surface and heating the cookware over medium heat for two to three minutes. When cool, hand-wash in warm, soapy water then rinse and dry thoroughly. – Do not use nonstick aerosol cooking sprays in your cookware. They will leave a residue, which may be difficult to remove, and will cause foods to stick to the cookware. – To preserve the look and performance of your cookware, we recommend using silicone, nylon, bamboo or wood utensils when cooking. Regardless of how hard the cooking surface is, using metal utensils or sharp objects may damage the cooking surface over time and void the warranty. – Cook or boil using low to medium heat only. Since aluminum yields excellent conductivity and delivers even heat distribution, the usage of high heat is not necessary. I’ve never been so intimidated picking out cookware, had no idea induction cooking would be this complicated. Decided to try this set because of the reviews, price, initial estimation of quality, and Sam’s return policy. I didn’t see this in person so the heft surprised me, and is a near dealbreaker for weaker/older/disabled users. These are heavier than anything I’ve ever owned except cast iron (but close). The skillets don’t fit in my apartment cupboards without turning them sideways. The whole set can nest because of the skillet size, but the weight and handle length makes that less useful than normal. You will want to buy very large nesting pot protectors because the nonstick surface is fragile and the exterior is rough/scratchy (almost like a grainy egg shell), or use bar towels between each layer. The handles are slow to heat during stovetop use, so they were easy to handle without pot holders. They heat slowly, but evenly, on both the induction and old electric elements we use (which was very nice on the electric because ours tends to overheat then under heat repeatedly, which made cooking without burning difficult in our other cookware). I purchased this to go along with the Nuwave PIC Gold induction burner from Sam’s and they go very well together because that unit has a large heat diameter, and it worker with even the smallest pot of this set. I’m cautiously optimistic about this set and hope they will hold up, I just wish I had a better idea of what this company considers to be ‘cooking with high heat which causes warping” other than “you”ll know it after it fails.”Selah
