Best Corded Stick Vacuum Cleaners (2024 Update)

I bought this to clean up kitty litter my cat tracks everywhere. I had been using a Dirt Devil (similar small vacuum) but as not pleased with its performance. So far, I prefer this one. But be real – this is a "toy" vacuum, meant only for light sweep ups. This one was easy to put together, its light weight, and works fine with small messes.anniedancer50

This little guy is super awesome and makes clean up super fast and easy, just what I was looking for as with having osteoarthritis I can't always sweep my wood floors, this even vacuums small rugs in the bathroom that are thick and shaggy. I am super happy. Only issue is the head rolls around while using I guess to get every direction but it's easy to maneuver.ramgar17

Not a carpet vac but it does clean bare floors and scatter rugs. Doesn't suck the rugs up like a really powerful vac does. No brush roll but nothing for long hair to get tangled in, either. More powerful than a cordless vac and the cord is long enough.margaretw465

This sweeeper is lightweight and has a lot of suction. It is so much easier to get this out to sweep my kitchen floor than getting out our regular vacuum. It is easy to empty the dirt collector. I absolutely love it. The reason I bought one was because my sister had one and loved it so I wanted to try it. It was definitely a good purchase.Marylin

I purchased this product 8 months ago. It worked great initially. Now the hose connecting the stick to the floor cleaner has cracked and has gotten holes in it. I cannot clean my carpets with it anymore. I’ve contacted the company and am awaiting a response on a solution.Beth

I LOVE this vacuum!!! So easy to use and take apart and clean. The suction is GREAT!! I have 2 cats and 1 dog and this vacuum works wonders!! I especially love the long cord so I only have to move the cord 2 times to get through the house. Also, it is very easy to undo the head piece from the stick part to get to small places. I purchased this from QVC on april 25, 2021, When I got it, I was thrilled–it performed like a dream and I could not imagine having a better vaccum. One year later, the device that holds the unit upright broke; a couple weeks later, the ability to utilize the floor/carpet option failed, so I had only one speed. Today, the brush rolls stopped rotating. I contacted Shark, thinking I had a 3 year warranty, only to find out it is a LIMITED warranty and does not cover the base unit that is experiencing all the problems. I was told they could send me a replacement unit for $95, which is nearly half of the original cost of the unit when I purchased it new. I declined, and was then told that I could have the replacement base unit for half price, as part of the "Limited Warranty." Needless to say, I am disappointed that Shark does not fully disclose it warranty practices. It seems that every time I see one of its infomercials on TV, the President of the company is constantly raving about how Shark stands behind its products. I will have to do some deep thinking the next time I purchase a new vac, as I have felt somewhat betrayed by the organization and its warranty practices.bucksfan

I’ve always heard people talk so highly of Shark Vacuums. I was so excited when I bought this. I was gonna get it home and my floors would be so clean,I’d be one of those people that people would compliment on how clean it was. Now, I’m not one to write scathing reviews and I’m always the first one to say that that one person out of hundreds that gave something one star is probably being dramatic, but Today I have to be the one person, even if y’all are gonna think I’m dramatic. So here we go. Don’t waste your time. This is the worst vacuum I’ve ever seen in my life. And I’ve seen quite a few (my mom had a vacuuming problem as a kid. We would go through one a year because she would wear them out so quick). Anyways where do I begin. It advertises as a pet vacuum. Which was a selling point as I have several cats and dogs. But it only picks up a piece of cat litter if you’re straight on top of it on hardwood floors and forget about it on carpet. As far as hair, it will pick it up from the carpet but it doesn’t suck it up so it leaves chucks of pet hair behind it as if it was Hansel and Gretel going into a forest. If it does manage to pick up the hair, it gets stuck in the hose so any piece of dirt that get sucked up behind just keep packing into the hose. I feel like if it was a person I’d have to give it the Heimlich maneuver it was so clogged. So every time I used it it would get clogged and I would open up the part that’s designed to be the there if something got clogged (I didn’t realize I would have to use it so often) and when I opened it dirt would naturally spew out everywhere so I would clean it out, put it back together, and now I would have to clean up what just spewed out of the vacuum which would just turn into a vicious cycle. This has happened every single time I have used it in the last six months. I’ve finally gotten so frustrated with it that I took it into the basement and slammed it against the cement wall until it was in several pieces. And you know what? I bet know it will work just as good as beforeKristin

I've had a few vaccums over the years but felt it time to invest in a pricer model and am very happy I did. It has great suction. Attachments that work removing fur from my furniture. Use it as a regular vacuum, wand or hand vaccum, with a easy step release from the main attachment. Easy to empty and clean, with cleanable filters, and so far, the main attachment is as advertised and hasn't tangled up with hair. 2 small but surprising features I love are light on the main attachment, and the hinged cord hook. I thought the light was silly at first but I never knew how much I was missing while vacuuming on sunny days or with all the lights on, but the vaccum light really illuminates. While the cord hook rotates 180° to allow removing the cord bundle in one go, versus unwrapping it off of both hooks. I own a rabbit, and the only short coming I have experience is that the main attachment can have difficulties picking up bigger debris like, wood shavings and rabbit dropping. I attribute that to the debris not fitting under the brush than the vaccum not being able to suction it up. Regardless it still deserves 5stars as I love this vaccum and would buy it again.Kara

I really like my Bissell rug cleaner but this CleanView Pet Slim Corded Vacuum, not so much. Don't like the way it doesn't stand up on it's own. The button to release the dirt cup is in an awkward spot. Don't like the dust cup because if you handle it the wrong way, the dirt falls out of a hole (which is where the dirt enters in the first place). The "head" is floppy. It doesn't stay up (like a Shark) where you have to push down on it. There is really no place to grab and carry it comfortably, especially for a short person (which I am). I am on the lookout for a new stick vacuum. I should have sent this one back but it's too late now.Nancy

We have dogs and cats with bare floors so hair is a big issue in our home. I purchased this vac as a replacement for cordless vacs that I am constantly having to buy. They quickly lose their suction and battery power so this time i went with a corded vac. I own a kirby, I love it for my deep down cleaning but is so cumbersome for my daily (yes daily) vac of my home. The cord is long enough that i only need to use 2 outlets to vac 4 bdrms 2 baths kitchen and 2 living areas. Plenty long enough! Love the cord length! Suction is great. The edge pulls debri (I mean dirt, dust and lottsa hair) from the edges of my baseboards and from under furniture edges. This vac has 2 settings 1-suction only, 2-suction with brush roll. I first assumed being that I have bare floors, that i can vac w/ just the suction. However when it was powered on I had lifted the vac head then switched to brush roll while it was in mid air, POOF, all sorts of hair went flying everywhere. Apparently static caused hair to stick to the "undercarriage" of the vac head. I now vac my bare floors w/ brush roll going. The vac head sits quite close to the floor so when I vac my exterior door mats and rugs some get sucked/sealed to vac head making it difficult to vac. Perhaps maybe wheel adjustment to keep this from happening. I now just broom those that i cant vac. Pitty. The tube does not extend or get shorter. Its kind of a hassle when im trying to vac in tighter spaces. Another thing that I love about this vac is the it lays completely flat completely parallel to the floor w/o the vac head lifting up like most vacs do. So the reach under furniture like beds, desks and tables goes as far as up to the dirt canister. Another issue, when i must remove the vac head to use tube only, the hook to where the cord gets wrapped around gets in the way of me wanting to reach tight places. Why cant cords get wrapped at the top portion of vac not all the way down its shaft. Canister is larger, big plus!sylvia

We ordered this particular model on Amazon via The Bissell Store (still as of 2022) after seeing the owner's commitment to helping local animal shelters. Only after contacting customer service did we find out this is actually a discontinued model with many problems.
The roller bar itself started burning after 11 uses or 3 months so we returned it to Bissell. The replacement lasted only a month before it too started to smoke & leave marks on the roller bar.
We only use this on our hardwood floors, and three large wool area rugs yet this is the worst vacuum we've ever owned.
Now returning for a second time. We have been told, that "the latest" version or Model 28311 does not have the same problems.
This has been such a disappointment, especially when you're purchasing via the Bissell store directly and there is no mention that you are purchasing an older, discontinued model.

This little wonder is basically a hand held vac with a handle. But don't let the small size fool you. Performs better than my canister vac. Okay so I read the reviews and got nervous, but I’m here to be honest with you. A lot of the buyers expected this to be a Dyson and if you’re expecting that then no this isn’t for you. I got this vacuum because ours broke 3 days before Christmas and I wanted something cheap to hold us over in between paychecks as we are having people over. We have a house with all hardwood and linoleum floors, a messy two year old, a big hairy dog, and a hard working man who constantly forgets to take his boots off at the door. Could this be our main vacuum? Heck no! It cleans small visible messes and wasn’t very great for dog hair or fabric surfaces but it was good for the kitchen crumbs and chunks of dirt from his boots. I like this stick vacuum, it's definitely bare bones, but it does a better than good job picking up dirt and dust. I only use it on hardwood floors, so cannot speak to the job it would do on carpet or rugs. I take 2 stars off because the connection of the canister that collects the dirt/dust does not properly seat into the motor section, so at times will spontaneously disconnect. There's a button that should pop out and secure it, but mine only pops out halfway. Also, the stick connection is tight and difficult to maneuver, so I usually just leave it in, making it awkward to disengage and empty the canister. Same with the floor attachment. If it were even slightly better made, I would recommend it more highly, of course it is inexpensive, so I guess you get what you pay for.BB&B Customer

I have had this vacuum for 2 months now. Pros: It can get under the couch easily. It has a long chord. Hair does not get stuck inside the vacuum (kinda). Cons: It doesn't stand up on it's own. You have to lean it up on something but it can easily roll and fall or you can just lay it down on the floor which sucks. Hair does not get stuck in the vacuum, but it does get stuck around the little small wheels preventing it from rolling easily. It is very, very hard, (actually impossible) to clean the hairs our from around the wheels. Other vacuums I have owned will grab debris on from all sides of the vacuum and just suck the dust towards the vacuum. This vacuum does not collect any dust nearby the vacuum, it only collects dust that you roll directly over. The dust goes up into the canister, but before it even reaches the "full" line, you have to clean it out because the dust gets stuck before reaching the canister. It makes a weird sound, gets hot like it is over heating even before the canister is full. If you want to use the handheld part you have to unwrap the chord which is a design flaw. The attachments are a joke. I bought this specifically to be able to vacuum pet hair off my couch. The pet hair attachment is useless. I get more hair off just using a lint roller. The brush attachment is useless as well as it i so poorly designed. It does not dust and suck the dust simultaneously like other vacuums. You are better off just dusting with a cloth.Jes

Female age 21. I got this vacuum about a year ago and while the suction power was really good, I noticed right away how loud it was. Not a normal "on the loud side" but super super loud and shrill vaccum. It would also get very hot after only a minute of vacuuming. I kept using it because I had no other options, but then after about 3 months, it broke altogether. The vacuum will now turn on, but it gives a weird noise and won't vacuum anything up. Very relieved that I got the squaretrade warranty for it, but am still nervous since I'm not positive they will reimburse me. I would definitely recommend staying away from this vacuum. Our old Shark vacuum did so well that when it needed to be replaced, we were convinced to strictly go with another Shark. This vacuum does a GREAT job, but it is VERY loud compared to our old one (which drives our dogs nuts), and the canister is very small. We have 4 dogs and a baby, so I vacuum every day, but if you have a lot of carpet, or don’t vacuum often, you will have to empty the canister multiple times before you’re done. Contrary to the reviews saying it can’t stand upright- yes it can… If you don’t read the instructions, then a simple google/YouTube search will show you how to do it (you have to remove the top part, and there is a hook that you attach it to on the bottom, and then it stands upright). No, it’s not as convenient as being able to just hang it, or have it stand upright without modification; but it only takes a couple seconds. It can get stowed away even easier in a coat closet this way too. All attachments work great, and it’s SO simple to use the handheld, or very quickly switch from the normal carpet attachment to needing just the “hose” part for hard to each spots, or if you spot a cobweb on the ceiling. The normal carpet attachment also does phenomenal at turning, and goes around the circle part of the bottom of our daughter’s jumparoo very well. It’s different from our old Shark, sure; but no regrets here!RAS062020

I bought this to replace a 2-in-1 stick vacuum thats handle broke. I bought the Dirt Devil Express Lite because not only was it lightweight for me to handle, had a removable hands free dust buster, it also had a roller brush I can use for area rugs and gets in the edges of the carpet along the wall. The price was about the same as the one I had with less features, so it was a great value for the price. After putting it together I realized it also has another valuable feature. The filter is rubber and can be rinsed to get rid of dust. No nasty cioth filter that never gets clean and holds odors. I have respiratory condition and this will keep my house dust free! I am so excited to have such a powerful, yet lightweight sweeper. It will meet all my needs!Psmithny2

I work full time and run an animal rescue. I needed a strong vacuum for the intake room and had NO time to put something together. To my surprise the unit literally snapped together! It also has a button to turn the broom off which I LOVE (makes me wonder about those reviews that said the broom quit, it's not advertised on box only instruction guide). Top heavy, does not stand on own but must be leaned onto something to stay upright. And when you finish using on floor or up on wall/ceiling, TONS of debris falls out the bottom of the unit. I have to go get my perfectly wonderful Miele to clean up the mess this thing makes. Keeping the area in the head clean is the key to avoid this, but have to do it so often (every use) it makes cleaning up a bigger chore overall. I bought this to avoid bringing the larger Miele upstairs to use weekly for a couple rooms and thought using as a wand up in the air would be useful as I no longer feel secure standing on a chair/stool to reach upper areas. While it works to pick up dust and dirt ok, it will not pick up paperclips, small wood pellets, scraps of paper or even small amount of shredded paper after emptying the shredder into the trash. And if it manages to pick this up, it will require you to stop and clean out the head piece (remove rollers) before moving on or it will 'spit it out' again when you turn it off. Then you can pick it all up with your hands along with the other debris and dirt or go get a real vacuum and clean it up right. I will never buy a shark again.Miele is best

We have had this about 6 months Initially it was great but slowly it has lost suction and now needs replacing as it’s just not up to the job. Filter box hard to clean Most annoying thing is going from say the floorboards to the carpet or vice versa. The head leaves a collection of dust on the edge of the 2 surfaces Slowly your mats build up a line of dirt around the edges which becomes compacted. The rotating head that was initially great is also difficult to clean and the fine teeth become totally clogged and useless. It takes as long to clean this thing as it does to vacuum the floor. If it was stolen would I buy another ? NO, I normally use the old vacuum in the shed but this one’s going in the wheels binGeorge 27

It's suction power lifts years of dirt embedded in the carpets of my new rental. The head swivels with ease and allows you to reach hard to get to places, excellent for corners. The right side of the head has an edge cleaner that you can run really close to the walls. Lightweight and easy and to use, the dirt canister is easy to empty and every part of the appliance clicks into place. I've been totally satisfied and a great fan of the Shark 'Rocket' for 4 years. izmax

We've got a couple large area rugs on otherwise all terrazzo floors. Recently adopted a short double coated Aussie Shepherd Beagle mix that has now begun shedding. This vacuum works great for our situation, the smaller head being easy to maneuver around and under tables and recliners. Intermittent use up to 30min for the rugs does cause the vacuum head to get pretty hot, not where you hold it, but to the exhaust side. Being corded delivers plenty of suction power without the added battery weight of a similarly capable cordless vac. I agree with others that upright storage could have been better executed. I'd suggest Shark include some kind of wall mount to hang it up when not in use. Overall happy with the product, although the price point around $200 on sale with coupon still seems a bit high in my opinion.Kent

1 person, 1 cat household. The vacuum has good suction BUT the cat hair gets stuck around a small metal peice and doesn't make it to the bin. If you have more than 1 pet – this is NOT the best unit. 1 room = empyting the bin and removing the hair from around the metal piece. It also cannot stand alone which is highly annoying. I don't want to take the motor off and attach it to the stick so that it will be self standing. DUMB design. It gets HOTTER than a Texas summer day very quickly. You cannot find the accessories listed in the maintaince booklet online. I guess they don't exist. You can find replacement filers. This vacuum is best as a quick, pick-me up unit — not your only vacuum.Zaney

This is more of an electric broom than a vacuum cleaner. It does a great job getting under furniture and cleans well on both carpet and bare floor. I have 2 dogs so I was trying to get to hard to reach areas. It does that well with the attachments included but I wish it had a brush. However, it’s made for small areas because it needs to be emptied often (easily) because it’s quite small. It also overheated after about 30 minutes of what I guess was too much work for it. Waiting an hour to turn it back on is a bummer. It’s a bit awkward to use as the handheld part at the top is heavy. As a result it won’t stand up on it’s own. You have to lay it down. It has it’s uses but doesn’t replace my old Shark. It’s much smaller and not much lighter.Mary

Shark Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum is light weight & really easy to remove the canister from the stick stick. Glides nicely over our entire house which has mostly wood floors and tile, but did well on multiple rugs with different pile heights. It even comes with attachments to clean the stairs, furniture or our SUV & truck. We had a different cordless one but needed a vacuum we didn’t have to worry about running out of battery 1/2 way through our home. The cord is super long so that helps us from having to re-plug every few feet. The dust compartment is simple to empty and clean out with a press of a button. We have 2 dogs and 4 kids so we’re constantly vacuuming, the power is awesome and it’s convenient to easily unload the debris. It’s lightweight too, so it’s easy for me to move around the house without it being a hassle. There is a little downside to it, which is that it doesn’t stand on its own, so you’ll have to either prop it on something or fold it (which is easy) in order to do something else if needed while vacuuming. So I’m taking it down a star for that since I do have to stop and pick up toys etc having kids & pets constantly playing.Heathermthomas

The Shark Rocket Pro, picks up VERY well. The area I first vacuumed with it, was a area that had been vacuumed the day before. Within five minutes, the Shark had picked up A LOT more. The vacuum was easy to assemble and the attachment comes apart easily to be able to vacuum the ceiling and other had to get to areas. The Shark glides across any floor easily and turns easily. The only drawback I found with this Shark machine was the motor was near the top of the handle and it made the machine top heavy. It doesn’t stand on it’s own. There are two small attachments that didn’t have anywhere to attach to the machine, that I could find. But, as well as this machine works, I find these to be minor problems. As you can see from the photo, it picked up quite a bit after only a five minute vacuum. I have animals and cleaning hair has always been a problem.adcatex6

This Shark Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum works GREAT ! I really like how light weight it is, I can very easily maneuver it around the house with little effort and let me say how GREAT it picks up all the dirt and debris from my floors. My carpets are much cleaner/fluffy and my hardwood floors are cleaned better than when I sweep. I am very excited and satisfied at how much debris/hair/dust/dirt was in the debris container. This vacuum has PLENTY of attachments that I can use on my stairs and I'll even be cleaning my curtains and window seals. As small as this vacuum is, is does the job QUICKLY and very EFFECTIVELY, much much better than my current canister vacuum. This Shark Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum is much quieter and very stronger in terms of suction than ANY vacuum I've ever owned. I went from 45 minutes of vacuuming to 15 minutes, WHAT A GREAT IMPROVEMENT ! I was a bit worried with so many negative reviews, but I love this vacuum. It is so light and easy to carry around. It picks up everything as long as you frequently empty the filter. I also take a can of compressed air to blow the filter clean from the inside out. It is well made, and all the parts fit well. I like the floor cleaner for picking up pet hair because it has no rollers where the hair gets tangled. The blue color is beautiful, and the unit leans against the wall without falling over. The cord could be a bit longer, but I have a lot of outlets, so no problem. I am very happy with the purchase. The price was very reasonable.Nancy

Just moved to new state, left old vacuum for daughter. It was a larger Dirt Devil that we needed for all the shag carpet in that home, but our new home is a lot of hardwood and low pile carpet and I didn't feel I needed another large vacuum. Read some reviews and as with any product you will read "best" and "worst" – so you just have to decide if it's a chance worth taking … for me, IT WAS! I absolutely love this little devil 😉 lightweight and so very easy to use. Does a FAR better job than the traditional dust mop I was using before it arrived. I will say that we don't have children or pets, so it has a pretty easy gig. Doesn't have real strong suction, but very sufficient for our needs. Nice long cord. A snap to put together. Seems sturdy as I've dropped it 2x already and still works perfectly fine. Because it is small it won't hold a lot of debris, but again sufficient for our needs. I like that there is no belt that needs to be replaced and there is not rotary brush that needs to be constantly cleaned … I hate that! The only con is that it doesn't stand up by itself (need to lean it against something) but that was just a matter of getting used to leaning it on something and not just letting go of it. Works equally on hardwood and our low pile carpet. VERY pleased.Carol

I live in senior living, and not that strong; I moved into here with a Dycem. All the floors are laminate except bedroom rug. To use Dycem is difficult, is too heavy, and mars laminate. This little vacuum fills the bill, does not have beater bars, is maneuverable, goes up against baseboards and flattens out underneath things. The suction is excellent, gets dust, hair and whatever, and is very lightweight. Great simple solution, it was easy to put together and get out of box.Helofu

Really great at collecting fine particle dust, etc. Picks up from carpet, incl deep pile, or hard surface. Good power/suction and easy to switch from 'floor mode' to 'dustbuster' mode. I received the Dirt Devil Vibe 3-in-1 Corded Bagless Stick Vacuum to review in my home. I have 3 kids and two dogs so we are always vacuuming. My memories of Dirt Devil were the rechargeable handheld from the 80/90's that my parents used to have. So for me it was a pleasant surprise to see what they are now. The vacuum was easy to put together and the handle and power head are easy to remove. Everyone in my family used the vacuum for one thing or another and it was nice not to have to worry about the battery running low. The corded feature is nice in a small vacuum. Always having the same consistent suction power is definitely a positive. The main vacuum that we have in our house is a Dyson. While it does a great job at vacuuming, it's clunky and hard to maneuver when I need to vacuum tight spots like the car or furniture. While the Dirt Devil Vibe 3-in-1 Corded Bagless Stick Vacuum doesn't have the same vacuuming power as a Dyson I thought it would still be great to use on areas like the Furniture and my Car and I was right!We tried to use it on our fluffy rugs and it did not fare very well but on tightly woven surfaces it did well. It's a lightweight vacuum so my 4 1/2 year old was excited to get to use it. Where we ended up using it the most was on the furniture. Since the long stick is removable it made it easier to use on the cushions and since it has an actual power head it really did remove all the debris off my couch. I couldn't imagine using my Dyson that way. Even with the attachment that Dyson has for furniture it doesn't clean as well as the Dirt Devil Vibe 3-in-1 Corded Bagless Stick Vacuum did. A couch without dog hair was awesome! It was also great to vacuum the floors of my SUV as well and not just use the hose on my Dyson. The floor mats actually looked fully clean in my car. Half of my house is also hardwood, so we are constantly sweeping and use the Dirt Devil Vibe 3-in-1 Corded Bagless Stick Vacuum to also pick up the piles we swept up. The removable power head made it easy to turn this into a quicker picker upper for us. The output motor is strong and if you are not careful you will blow your collection pile all over. We learned that the hard way. It was very easy to empty the collection bin but I noticed that most of what was picked up would stick to the filter, needing to be removed by hand if it did not shake free. Overall for the price and size, it performed as I would expect. It's hard to compare it to my Dyson because the Dirt Devil Vibe 3-in-1 Corded Bagless Stick Vacuum is not the same caliber of vacuum. As I said for my family it worked great to keep the couch clean and the inside of the car picked up. Any on the go parent would enjoy having this when it came time to clean out the minivan. With regards to losing two stars, as I said in my review, the output motor has a powerful blower but that doesn't equate to suction power. You will blow debris around if you aren't careful with what direction you point it in. I also was not pleased with having to touch the debris that would stick to the filter when I would try and empty it. I received the Dirt Devil Vibe 3-in-1 Corded Bagless Stick Vacuum as a free sample from a sampling company for my honest opinion. I have 4 children and 2 dogs. This is NOT the vacuum for us or for anyone who needs a quality vacuum. This IS a vacuum for someone who lives in small quarters and just needs to do a quick vacuum. I have 3 other vacuums and this Dirt Devil is the last I reach for when a mess needs to be cleaned up. On the other hand, this vacuum is fantastic for my children to use. The handle is CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP and I do not think it will withstand 4 kids. I expect that to fall apart first. The part of the vacuum that I do LOVE is the fact that the bottom part of the vacuum (where the roller brush is) can stay connected to the dustbuster and my kids use this vacuum to vacuum the stairs (picture included below)! I have a different hand vac that is used for the stairs but it is too heavy for my children to use, so this dirt devil will now be used instead. I do like that the Dirt Devil Vibe 3-in-1 Corded Bagless Stick Vacuum does have a cord. I do not have to worry about running out of battery or of decreased suction power (which often happens with cordless vacuums). The "button" that you press to release the roller brush part from the dust buster is poorly made and hard to utilize. This design makes it hard to release the roller brush from the dust buster. In review, this vacuum is not a perfect fit for MY large family. I DO like that it is light weight and my kids can use it to vacuum the stairs. I received this vacuum about a week ago as a sample to give an honest review. First, let me say that I have multiple vacuums that are multiple different styles that I am comparing this one against. The Dirt Devil Vibe 3 in 1 is VERY light weight and quite small. It was very easy to put together, minus attaching the brush head. Attaching the brush head takes a bit more strength than I would expect and it took me a while to get the connection. My 8 year old daughter was able to put the rest of the vacuum together on her own. When she saw the size of it, she was very excited because she thought it was for her! When the brush head is attached, you can select whether you want to turn the roller brush on or turn it off. It is part of the vacuums power switch. While I think this vacuum would be great for someone with a bad back because it is so light, the power switch is very low…most people would need to bend down to turn it on. It worked fine on low pile area rugs, but I'm not sure how much it would do on regular carpet. While vacuuming on hard wood floors, it was SO light weight that it kind of slid all over the place. This vacuum is essentially a dust buster with a power cord, stick and roller brush attachment. It is meant for smaller spaces. Because it has a power cord, it does have and keep decent suction. It can be used with or without the roller brush and with or without the stick. It is very easy to empty and it also comes with a little attachment to get into corners/creases while using it as a dust buster. For me, I'd prefer to just grab me cordless hand vacuum for quick clean up or smaller areas rather then pull this vacuum out and plug it in. I think the cordless that I have has more strength and suction. I guess my final thought is that it would be good for small spaces and someone who requires a lighter style vacuum. It cleans and does everything it's supposed to do but if you already have a cordless stick vacuum, it's an unnecessary purchase. I also feel that it's priced a bit high.AliBArt77

We purchased the Shark corded stick model at Target a few years ago. At first it was great, and I recommend it for smaller houses or apartments since it's lightweight and small. It's powerful for its size. But it's not super durable. From what I've read, Shark doesn't make many replacement parts and there aren't many opportunities to repair their products. After about 2 years, several important parts were broken, including the hinge holding the dust cup together. We've been using packing tape to hold together the dust cup, and we have to cut off the tape to empty it and then re-tape it shut every time. Also the main little interior hose at the bottom that connects the head to the stick cracked wide open. The brush gets wrapped with long hair easily. The suction is pretty bad now, probably because of all these issues. Overall pros: It's great on wood floors, good on rugs, and works well while it lasts. Lightweight and easy to maneuver and carry up stairs. I like the attachments and they're easy to use. Long cord. Bagless is more environmentally friendly, although it's best to empty it into a plastic bag anyways. It's a good deal when it's on sale for $100. Overall cons: Doesn't stand up on its own. Cheaply made. The dust bin is really small. It's a hassle to empty the dust bin because you have to unplug the whole vacuum and carry the entire cord out to the trash can with you to empty the cup. Also, bagless vacuums just seem dirtier to me since the dust and hair isn't actually contained. It's always gross emptying it and trying to avoid the cloud of crap flying up at you. It is amazing honestly. We vacuumed our carpets with our old Shark right before we went to Target to look for a new one. We came home and vacuumed again over all of it. The canister filled up TWICE. I was mortified lol. This vacuum has powerful suction and harder tips on the roller that RAKE the carpet and get the film of dog hair out of my thick plush carpeting. I’m not lying. If I was unimpressed, I would tell you so! You DO have to empty the canister more than you would any other vacuum because it is small. If you are continuously vacuuming every room in your house and not emptying, you are going to put extra stress on the motor. It IS a stick vacuum. If you need heavy duty, 5-6 rooms at a time vacuuming, this isn’t your vacuum. I had to empty after EACH room because my vacuum obviously wasn’t doing its job. But I expect next time I won’t (I hope) because I will be pulling out the vacuum daily and keeping the dirt to a minimal in general. I really wanted cordless but my man insisted he didn’t want to deal with battery issues. I’ve never had a cordless and I just wanted one so bad. Cords irritate me and get in my way lol. But this purchase was good. So far I am very satisfied. I will definitely come back and redo my review if I feel like my opinion has changed in a couple months. I’ve had this vacuum for 4 years. Here are my thoughts: PROS 1. Good suction, still finds dust and dirt and pet hair 2. Lightweight and really low profile so you can vacuum under things easily 3. Price is amazing for the quality 4. No bags and all the filters I can clean out on my own and reuse. Huge cost and environmental savings. 5. Easy and fast detach / attach for getting corners and using the tools that come with it. 6. Dust bin opens easily and smart so I can hold it over the trash and won’t get dust everywhere. Less messy to empty than others. CONS 1. Corded 2. Hose broke down in head where it bends and flexes as you vacuum, I noticed it at year 3.5, so I had to replace that segment of hose (had holes/cracks in it). I purchased a hose at Home Depot and found some instructions online. Overall it was moderately hard to replace. 3. Suction does not adjust when you vacuum over rugs like the expensive name brand competitor so I have to stand on one end to hold the rug down due to the suction wanting to pickup the rug. 4. Doesn’t sit upright, must lean against a wall when it’s not hanging on the wall given it is too heavy. If you pause during vacuuming to pick something up etc. the thing may fall down while leaning against the wall. Takes a bit of experience to get the perfect, no-fall lean figured out.jessica.b

I bought this to clean up kitty litter my cat tracks everywhere. I had been using a Dirt Devil (similar small vacuum) but as not pleased with its performance. So far, I prefer this one. This little guy is super awesome and makes clean up super fast and easy, just what I was looking for as with having osteoarthritis I can't always sweep my wood floors, this even vacuums small rugs in the bathroom that are thick and shaggy. I purchased this from QVC on april 25, 2021, When I got it, I was thrilled–it performed like a dream and I could not imagine having a better vaccum. One year later, the device that holds the unit upright broke; a couple weeks later, the ability to utilize the floor/carpet option failed, so I had only one speed. Today, the brush rolls stopped rotating. I contacted Shark, thinking I had a 3 year warranty, only to find out it is a LIMITED warranty and does not cover the base unit that is experiencing all the problems. I was told they could send me a replacement unit for $95, which is nearly half of the original cost of the unit when I purchased it new. I declined, and was then told that I could have the replacement base unit for half price, as part of the "Limited Warranty." Needless to say, I am disappointed that Shark does not fully disclose it warranty practices. It seems that every time I see one of its infomercials on TV, the President of the company is constantly raving about how Shark stands behind its products. I will have to do some deep thinking the next time I purchase a new vac, as I have felt somewhat betrayed by the organization and its warranty practices.bucksfan

I’ve always heard people talk so highly of Shark Vacuums. I was so excited when I bought this. I was gonna get it home and my floors would be so clean,I’d be one of those people that people would compliment on how clean it was. Now, I’m not one to write scathing reviews and I’m always the first one to say that that one person out of hundreds that gave something one star is probably being dramatic, but Today I have to be the one person, even if y’all are gonna think I’m dramatic. So here we go. Don’t waste your time. This is the worst vacuum I’ve ever seen in my life. And I’ve seen quite a few (my mom had a vacuuming problem as a kid. We would go through one a year because she would wear them out so quick). Anyways where do I begin. It advertises as a pet vacuum. Which was a selling point as I have several cats and dogs. But it only picks up a piece of cat litter if you’re straight on top of it on hardwood floors and forget about it on carpet. As far as hair, it will pick it up from the carpet but it doesn’t suck it up so it leaves chucks of pet hair behind it as if it was Hansel and Gretel going into a forest. If it does manage to pick up the hair, it gets stuck in the hose so any piece of dirt that get sucked up behind just keep packing into the hose. I feel like if it was a person I’d have to give it the Heimlich maneuver it was so clogged. So every time I used it it would get clogged and I would open up the part that’s designed to be the there if something got clogged (I didn’t realize I would have to use it so often) and when I opened it dirt would naturally spew out everywhere so I would clean it out, put it back together, and now I would have to clean up what just spewed out of the vacuum which would just turn into a vicious cycle. This has happened every single time I have used it in the last six months. I’ve finally gotten so frustrated with it that I took it into the basement and slammed it against the cement wall until it was in several pieces. And you know what? I bet know it will work just as good as beforeKristin

I've had a few vaccums over the years but felt it time to invest in a pricer model and am very happy I did. It has great suction. Attachments that work removing fur from my furniture. Use it as a regular vacuum, wand or hand vaccum, with a easy step release from the main attachment. Easy to empty and clean, with cleanable filters, and so far, the main attachment is as advertised and hasn't tangled up with hair. 2 small but surprising features I love are light on the main attachment, and the hinged cord hook. I thought the light was silly at first but I never knew how much I was missing while vacuuming on sunny days or with all the lights on, but the vaccum light really illuminates. While the cord hook rotates 180° to allow removing the cord bundle in one go, versus unwrapping it off of both hooks. I own a rabbit, and the only short coming I have experience is that the main attachment can have difficulties picking up bigger debris like, wood shavings and rabbit dropping. I attribute that to the debris not fitting under the brush than the vaccum not being able to suction it up. Regardless it still deserves 5stars as I love this vaccum and would buy it again.Kara

The Bissell 2030 is great for my needs – as a second vacuum for quick cleanups. It's easier and quicker to get out than my full sized vacuum. To answer a couple questions I had that didn't seem covered elsewhere: – The removable floor nozzle seems well designed. I've uploaded a picture of the bottom of it. It's about 9" across, has 2 small wheels in the front and 2 larger wheels in the back; and also has a rubber scraper of sorts behind the nozzle opening to help collect stuff. The opening is small enough to maintain the suction. – The noise is reasonable. It's not silent by any means, but doesn't sound like a jet taking off like another small vacuum I had. This really is tiny. The main section is just under 4" wide. The handle is long enough, though. I don't think it cleans the carpet dust as deeply as a full-sized vacuum, because it has less suction. But it's great to quickly pull out for a quick clean up.Townie

To start it's a very quick and simple assembly. The collection cup (which is small) and vacuum unit disassemble for a handheld unit after the floor nozzle and stick are removed. It has a little filter inside the collection chamber that demanded constant emptying and it needed the dust tapped off way too often for me. The unit makes a droning sound that changes to a higher pitch when it can no longer pick up debris. I bought it for use in a little room, but the sound was too painful to bear for long. I vacuumed a room by the hardest because much of the time was spent emptying it over a trash can. It may be okay for vacuuming up toast crumbs or some other small amounts, but I'm disappointed overall –probably because of expectations. From the unboxing I felt like it was for use by an older child because of the diminutive size, and the limit of collection volume is depressingly small. It can and does pick up the but of fur left when a cat departs a chair. However, this stick cannot accommodate "real world scenarios" like vacuuming a room every other day in my experience. Totally inadequate for me. My impression is it's some rinky dink, less than impressive unit. Still, I was glad to use it when a glass pot lid shattered on the stove.Allyson

I like this because it is very lightweight (I have a broken shoulder) and easy to maneuver in tight places. The handle can remain attached on/for the hand held vacuum head and it gets into corners without having to get on your hands and knees to clean those tight places. It can be used on furniture, floors, walls, carpets, tile and hardwood. Just remember to empty each time you use and clean and 'defuzz' the filter to help it last longer. Suggest ordering extra filters at the same time you purchase this vacuum, as the effectiveness is dependent upon a clean filter. It works as described. This does not take the place of a big upright (big suction) vacuum for carpeting. It does help with a daily quick clean up of crumbs and debris tracked in from outside.lakeviewlady

When I got the box, I was worried. So small. When I opened, I was worried. So light and looks fragile. It took me 1 minute to out the 3 pieces together. It took me longer to unpack it. Now, when I turned it on, I was immediately giving it a 5 star outloud. Look, I have paid almost the same for a broom and what does a broom do? Not much. It picks up here and throws stuff back in the air right behind you and then you have to go get the dust pan, right? This is a great option and even if it breaks once a year, it is still worth it for me. The picture I posted is what sold me…I was vacuuming my stairs when it sucked up stuff that was hidden under the gap. That sold me because that's exactly what the broom pushed in there. I will buy a second one. Too bad the price is higher now. Hope it goes down to what I paid. Shipping and delivery was as promised. I bought this vacuum because of the price, it's lightweight and reviews said it had good suction even though it's small. I was disappointed when it arrived and I realized it was a dirt buster with a long handle. The swivel was more of a hindrance than a help, and you have to make sure the handle is at a certain angle for it to have good suction and that was uncomfortable for me. I really wanted to like this vacuum. I believe it would be best for small areas with floors without carpet. It was on sale, it's lightweight and easy to assemble, that's about it.Nash

absolutely hate it! For one its very top heavy so doesn't stand up on its own. They do give you an option to purchase the hang hook. The only good thing is without the floor piece it works great. But only comes with 2 extensions which are very short and can't use hand held within without the wand because the dust cup gets in the way. The price you pay is definitely not worth it. Especially since you have to buy the hang hook and any extenders separately off shark website. Bottom line buying a hand held vacuum does the same job without all the "extra" add on's.BS

This vacuum is the best lightweight one I have ever had. I was skeptical because of its size. I wasn't sure it would have the suction or maneuverability I wanted, but it's great. It is totally true that hair will not get wrapped up on the roller bar. The ability to get around and under furniture is just what I needed. You can lift off the handle for a long handled device or a short one to clean furniture or up high. Easy to empty dust cup is a bonus. If I had anything negative to say it would be that I wish it came with more tools.Janet

This vacuum is everything I wanted and more! It's lightweight which makes it easy to manuver. I can't say enough about the Zero M brush roll!! Phenomenal! I have 20 inch long hair with 3 cats and after 6 months of daily use I haven't had to cut a single hair from the roller! That in itself makes this unit worth every penny! The suction… Out of this world!!! It takes up very little space. You can purchase a clip for wall storage or store it on the attached clip on the wand. Cord is quite long so a lot can be accomplished before repositioning somewhere else. I love that it can go from floor to overhead in seconds, convert to a handvac, and back to floors in a flash! Two brush roll speeds let you move from hard floors and area rugs to higher pile carpet with the flip of a switch. The fact that this unit features washable filters is just icing on the cake! I love this vacuum and wouldn't trade it for any other vacuum! I am and will forever be a Shark owner!!C-Lowe
