I purchased this during a short price deal offer. The delivery and unboxing went fine, no quibble. I own a Wahl Balding clipper which I use primarily as a a bald shaver with limited haircutting duties so the Senior has effectively had to deliver the same service cordless. First task was to reset the blades to zero overlap. The result for the close cutting is only just acceptable compared to what the Balding does but the obvious advantage of the Senior is portability and convenience of mobility which almost makes up. Maybe Wahl should consider zero-overlap blades for the Senior or even a cordless Balding clipper for the future.Edwin E.

I upgraded to the Cordless Legend from the basic Wahl you can buy at Walmart/Target. I've owned two of the basic models for 20 years, so my expectations are extremely high. This is so much lighter and cordless is a game changer. It definitely a better trimmer, but I still end up going over spots a couple times. I've gone from 4-5 passes to 2-3, so it's definitely an improvement, but it would be nice to only have to go over areas once or twice. I use this for both facial and regular hair trimming.

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. With that being said, I have cut my hair several times with many cheap clippers from Walmart. The Goods: This one has changed my hair cutting experience. Just holding the clippers you can fee the quality in these. It has a nice weight to it so you know it's built sturdy. Love the magnetic guards not only do they stay on nicely, they also keep each other together so you don't lose them easily when not in use. Love the electronic Interface as well feels modern and premium. As for the cut I did not see myself going over spots multiple times. Most cases one or two rollovers resulted in a nice and even cut. The Bads: I did say my honest review. When it comes to the magnetic guards it was confusing at first as to how to take them off. Once you learn that you just hold both side of the guards and pull it's pretty easy and you'll wonder how you didn't get it the first time. (If I would have read the instructions I wouldn't have had this issue as there are diagrams on how to take them off). Another problem I noticed was if you're using the clipper blades to manscape sometimes it will pull a hair but you'll only notice it if it's a sensitive area. So make sure you use the trimmer blades once again read the instructions. TL;DR Great product with great results. Make sure you read the instructions beforehand though.Jason D.
Getting comfortable with using it was a little bit challenging though. For 1, zeroing out the blade gap adjustment to 0.0 cut me. Since covid, I do my own shaving and line ups now, and I hated that I'd sometimes get cuts at barbers, so, that's a no no for me. I found 0.4 to be right for me, sometimes 0.3. I also had to watch a video to figure out how to switch the shaver and trimmer heads, and insert the guards, but once you figure out the right way, it's pretty easy. In trimming my beard, I felt occasional tugs on my hair. I think that might be part of breaking it in? and that was the 1st cut. I didn't experience that when shaving my actual head hair. I might update this later if my next beard trim is different. All in all, I love the look and feel and the experience and I'll happily switch to this from my current shaver and trimmer set going forward. My gold one has no problems whatsoever , but the black ones , 2 weeks after purchase , were cutting off in mid cut and wouldnt turn back on! Ive been a barber more than 20 years and these are the truth hands down not to mention the gamma hitters. The fade is much cleaner than the whal magic clips, not to take away from any other brand but just have to be honest. The motor is very very strong and the only thing about them to me is you have to keep them oiled which you suppose to do anyway, but the feel is right the design is right and the results is right. This is top end expensive for a clipper. Bought for use at home and we are non-professional stylists lol! It feels nice, heavy and the metal casing gives it a vintage look. The clipper itself works great so far, got through my mop and my sons as well. Charges quickly and doesn’t loose power like my old clippers did. Would be nice to have instructions on how best to use it, get a proper fade etc, Instruction manual only has practical stuff like how to charge it, oil blades etc. Had to look it up on YouTube. There are only 3 clipper guards on it which is why it only gets 4 stars. It would be better to have more – getting more costs at least an extra £30, making it overall very expensive. It seems whals more expensive clippers don’t come with sometimes any clipper guards at all so make sure you read full description. Overall it is a great clipper and would highly recommend. I have only used this once but it worked well. I bought it as a beard trimmer as I am fed up with buying beard trimmers that take multiple passes to get to the length required. I bought this because I had seen a handful of people recommend it for this reason. I used it without any attachments at its shortest setting. The stubble was very short, less than 1mm I would say, almost clean shaven but clearly with some growth. The cable power means it is clearly very powerful and did not slow down when going through my beard at all. The cable could do with being longer only because I want to use it in my bathroom and I have to plug in outside the bathroom with an extension lead. The beard came off very easily, no real need for a second pass even (although I did for completelness). Very pleased, and less than a quarter of the time i would normally spend with my Philips beard trimmer which was around 40.The clipper comes with the normal grade attachments from grade 1 upwards. This produces a cut of 3mm. A 1/2 grade is available to buy seperately which provides a cut of of 1.5mm I think, which is what my old bear trimmer was set to. However, without the attachment, I can adjust the cutting length – my first attempt was at its shortest, next time I will do its longest which I think could be around 1mm which is perfect for stubble look.The clipper is heavy, (but feels solid and of good quality), it seems very capable for my needs, and because it is a cable version (rather than battery) I think will last some years. (All my other beard trimmers have died because batteries have failed in the end, rather than the clippers themselves).Very happy with the purchase so far and I would recommend for beard/stubble trimmingdresco.f

I received these quickly so I was impressed with that. Unfortunately these trimmers were terrible for me. They did not cut well unless the hair was EXTREMELY fine. I don't always have the client totally dry when i trim their neck and in that case they didn't cut at all they actually seemed to just kind of tear the hair. Also I like to do trimmers over comb to perfect my clipper cuts and again unless the hair was super fine it just wouldn't even cut. I returned them and went with the slimline 2 that I had previously and am happy with them.

I want to love all of the manscaped so bad. What I do love, is the blade and how it does not Knick or cut you. I’m a woman, I use it and my husband uses it and we both like that feature.

What is REALLY lame about the rest of it is the battery life and speed/ability to cut through course hair. It takes about 5+ hours to charge, and once it is charged you have about 2 mins of usage until the motor slows down and your battery life light is back to red. And yes I did actually time it all. SUPER LAME!!

It stopped working after less than 15 uses. I use it as intended, but also on my head if my fuzz gets to long for a Bic. First of all, I think a handheld Bic is safer, iv cut myself dozens of with this, and second it broke after a dozen of so uses. It is supposed to under warranty, but when I emailed I said if it's not covered under warranty and this is the quality of product I can expect, I wish to cancel all subscriptions. They canceled all subscriptions. Just shows that they don't even stand behind their own product.michael walker

Since the pandemic I have had to learn to cut my husbands hair. This kit made it easy to do with both size clippers and lots of attachments. I liked that it included a comb and hair scissors. This is my first cutter purchase. After watching videos I did the COVID Cut. I liked this model honestly because of the looks. I do not not plan on zero gapping, it works just fine the way it is. For the hapless like myself I used the guides. I bought the separate guides and used a #7 on the top a #5 on the sides and the right and left ear guides. Super disappointed to say the least. The clippers themselves look great but didn't get to use them. The box i was sent was clearly returned by someone else. To make things worse, the clippers were clearly used. There was someone elses hair on the clippers and inside the box. I was impressed with the easy packaging and pleased with the inclusion of a small fabric pouch used to hold the items included in the package. Both products worked extremely well out of the box the the construction quality is quite robust. My only gripe with the product would be the lack of AA batteries, perhaps in the next iteration of the product, a rechargeable battery pack could be introduced to spare the inconvenience of using disposable batteries.deus327
