My Andis Envy Li rechargables are great. They are lightweight to manuver where needed. The attachment gaurds are easy clip on and off. It seems to me that Andis is the best brand on the market as well.JohnJohn

When I got these clippers I was not impressed by their cut by decided to give them some time to break in. 3 months later I'm so mad I did not return them. First of all, you are getting a model D8 trimer and model LCL clippers. They can both be bought individually and save dollars. Secondly, they do not cut very close. The only redeeming value is that the batteries last quite long.cabbo

I have been a licensed cosmetologist for over 20 years. I work in a fast-paced barbershop. These clippers are superior to every other clipper I have ever used. The battery life is long lasting and more powerful than I expected or even imagined. Even on the thickest of hair, it cuts with the greatest of ease. The chrome outer case is a definite plus. This is my first cutter purchase. After watching videos I did the COVID Cut. I liked this model honestly because of the looks. I do not not plan on zero gapping, it works just fine the way it is. For the hapless like myself I used the guides. I bought the separate guides and used a #7 on the top a #5 on the sides and the right and left ear guides. I also bought the cape, and trimming shears.paqmoc_5

Super disappointed to say the least. The clippers themselves look great but didn't get to use them. The box i was sent was clearly returned by someone else. To make things worse, the clippers were clearly used. There was someone elses hair on the clippers and inside the box. With everything going on you would think theyd be a lot more careful with things like this.Ivan

This isn't my first Wahl purchase so I can say with confidence this is NOT one of their better trimers. I bought it because I was looking for a cordless option. It felt bulky and slippery in my hands. I cut my husband and sons hair. I'm not petit so if I say Its bulky its not cuz I have small hands. The whole thing is also smooth so its not ergonomic to hold and once you turn it on and it starts buzzing it gets even worse to hold on too. It was very uncomfortable even for a 10 min haircut. The other thing that was annoying is how the sizing lever kept getting stuck on the seam of the trimmer. Returning it!Hanalei

I got this to replace my old trimmer. I have been cutting my own hair for over ten years and the old trimmer was having problems. This one is much more powerful and does the cut in a fraction of the time and with no "pull". Being cordless makes it much easier to use as well. I am very pleased with this product. The storage bag is also well designed so that I can find needed attachments very quickly.Stan

This is top end expensive for a clipper. Bought for use at home and we are non-professional stylists lol! It feels nice, heavy and the metal casing gives it a vintage look. The clipper itself works great so far, got through my mop and my sons as well. Charges quickly and doesn’t loose power like my old clippers did. Would be nice to have instructions on how best to use it, get a proper fade etc, Instruction manual only has practical stuff like how to charge it, oil blades etc. Had to look it up on YouTube. There are only 3 clipper guards on it which is why it only gets 4 stars. It would be better to have more – getting more costs at least an extra £30, making it overall very expensive. It seems whals more expensive clippers don’t come with sometimes any clipper guards at all so make sure you read full description. Overall it is a great clipper and would highly recommend. I have only used this once but it worked well. I bought it as a beard trimmer as I am fed up with buying beard trimmers that take multiple passes to get to the length required. I bought this because I had seen a handful of people recommend it for this reason. I used it without any attachments at its shortest setting. The stubble was very short, less than 1mm I would say, almost clean shaven but clearly with some growth. The cable power means it is clearly very powerful and did not slow down when going through my beard at all. The cable could do with being longer only because I want to use it in my bathroom and I have to plug in outside the bathroom with an extension lead. The beard came off very easily, no real need for a second pass even (although I did for completelness). Very pleased, and less than a quarter of the time i would normally spend with my Philips beard trimmer which was around 40.The clipper comes with the normal grade attachments from grade 1 upwards. This produces a cut of 3mm. A 1/2 grade is available to buy seperately which provides a cut of of 1.5mm I think, which is what my old bear trimmer was set to. However, without the attachment, I can adjust the cutting length – my first attempt was at its shortest, next time I will do its longest which I think could be around 1mm which is perfect for stubble look.The clipper is heavy, (but feels solid and of good quality), it seems very capable for my needs, and because it is a cable version (rather than battery) I think will last some years. (All my other beard trimmers have died because batteries have failed in the end, rather than the clippers themselves).Very happy with the purchase so far and I would recommend for beard/stubble trimmingdresco.f

The blade arrived crooked. I tried to put it straight multiple time but when doing a fade the blade moves. I cut my client the first day Ive used it in the shop. I thought it would be a problem that could be solved until I cut another client but that one was a walk in. The clipper was cheap but with the legal fees I need to pay now and all the stress it wasnt worth it at all. You get what you pay for, go get yourself a good and new clippers.alexdemon_18

I've tried a few different clippers since becoming a barber. The only ones I've bought a second pair of are my cordless Wahl Seniors. Now with the charging dock too, I keep both my seniors in my kit, alternating throughout the day. My older ones are still just as good as the newest generation. They are the ultimate clipper.Phil

This was my first trimmer ever, and for a start it really did justice. I normally use it to do line ups, and slight trimming when needed but this trimmer really added an extra touch up to everyone’s hair that I started cutting at the time. For the price you can’t go wrong with it, it lasted me about 5 years until I upgraded but I gave it to my nephew and it’s still working, so that shows the durability in this product if you maintain and keep it clean. Definitely a good start up trimmer if you’re a beginner and can’t afford anything too expensive yetleen.x

Everything is good, saw some reviews that said you could get a used one that didn’t work… so I bought the insurance with it since it’s still like 70$ under Amazon. Got it and it felt like someone else had it but it was way too clean and everything was packed nicely. Had some charge on it that lasted for like 20 minutes without charge… everything seems to work fine so far. It’s been like 2 weeks and used it like 3-4 times already so all good. So definitely wasn’t a fake. If you’re like me when I was shopping buying for this low of a price is scary. But I will say you get what you pay for. The blade is the basic metal taper blade with the groves so don’t expect the graphite blade. Btw I purchased the fx870s (silver) for exact purchase if that matters to you (it does for me). It’s a good clipper and has a quality feel. The click lever with the notches is a favorite of mine right now since it helps you not get lost in the fade. I had bought two of these clippers and they were great , at first ! My gold one has no problems whatsoever , but the black ones , 2 weeks after purchase , were cutting off in mid cut and wouldnt turn back on! I thought they were dead , but they were fully charged and still do it. This company now wont fix or replace them! The clippers I got happen to be bad , but overall , the babyliss clipper is a good clipper for anyone interested , just be careful who you purchase from. Purchased these last week. Cuts very well and really love the style, look and feel of these blades. Strong motor and overall good quality. Firstly, I should make it clear that this is a review of the Babyliss Professional Cordless hair Clipper BAB8700U not to be confused with the Cordless Trimmer that is smaller, slightly cheaper and intended for trimming beards.Both of these premium products appear to be targeted squarely at the professional market and, as such, are up against stiff competition from clipper specialists such as Wahl and Andis, for example.This product was launched in the UK in Autumn 2018 and, at the time of writing, the best price for this cordless clipper is almost double that of the corded version which has been available for some time.The Babyliss Professional Cordless Clipper takes a full 3 hours to charge for 2 hours continuous use. This puts it amongst the slowest cordless models to charge in this category but, as you would expect, the runtime is very competitive. In addition, there is the option of a 30 minute quick charge which will provide 30 minutes use. It is also worth mentioning that the 3 metre electrical cord that connects to the charging base can also be connected directly to the clipper so it can also be used as a corded clipper but ONLY for a maximum of 20 minutes at a time. I used to go in to the barbers every few months and get a number 3 all over. But with the lockdowns my hair was getting on for shoulder length and annoying the hell out of me. So I bought this, and had a go myself. Amazing. Just like those U.S marine recruits in the movies. Zzzzzip And it was gone. A bit awkward and not quite up to professional standards round the back due the difficulties of reaching round behind my head, but perfectly acceptable. And from the front, looks just like the barber did it. It comes with a full set of comb guides, simple and clear instructions, a charger, a cleaning brush, and a tube of lubricating oil. It is expensive I suppose but with the barber charging a tenner a go it will pay for itself in a few years.Anonymous

It’s terrible I’ve never left a terrible review in my life but I can tell you this was extremely disappointing. First time I went to use it on taking out the lightest bulk. Which it’s suppose to handle major bulk it couldn’t cut anything! Also the clipper was crooked! I thought these were just gold plates! Like real gold. Not fake. I emailed them for a return they said basically I’m too late. But in their return policy it said I had three days to return. Which I responded within that three day time frame!
