I purchased this during a short price deal offer. The delivery and unboxing went fine, no quibble. I own a Wahl Balding clipper which I use primarily as a a bald shaver with limited haircutting duties so the Senior has effectively had to deliver the same service cordless. First task was to reset the blades to zero overlap. The result for the close cutting is only just acceptable compared to what the Balding does but the obvious advantage of the Senior is portability and convenience of mobility which almost makes up. Maybe Wahl should consider zero-overlap blades for the Senior or even a cordless Balding clipper for the future.Edwin E.

I had managed to break my Tchibo clipper rechargeable. The Wahl was direct from the manufacturer at an offer price and was a similar arrangement. This type has clip-on guides rather than a mechanical adjustment. It can be used plugged in or cordless. This was like my old shaver. The Wahl is much more powerful but does get hot towards the end of a complete trim. I also use for a full beard trim, without the guides. The included oil is a good idea as I now know this is the best way to keep the blades in good order. Especially if cleaning first with IPA. The power supply/ charger has a cable that looks a bit thin. Time will tell. The instructions were a bit minimal, compared to my old trimmer. The on-line general guides were useful though. I purchased the WHAL trimmer with high expectations, and I can say with all honesty that my expectations were met. The trimmer comes in attractive packaging that is contemporary and has a an easily understood description of the functions. When I opened the box to use it for the first time it had a comfortable feel to it and has easy to use controls. It's simplified color-coded Key on the trimmer makes it easy to select the proper comb for the trim length one would like to use and it;s easy to replace the combs on the trimmer. It seemed a little loud when I first turned it on but I got used to the sound over the several times I have used it so far. The blade trims my hair very effectively and I'm able to groom very precisely with the contours of my face. So far I'm impressed with the battery charge as I have used it numerous times and the battery has maintained its power consistently. Cleaning the trimmer is a breeze as I just used a damp washcloth to wipe it. Works great! Great groomer but it's not for the guy that's looking to shave their head, it doesn't shave that close. I recently purchased the Braun MGK3220 6-in-1 Mens Beard Trimmer and Hair Clipper Kit and used it for the first time. The clipper kit comes complete with an electric clipper/trimmer, which has many different attachments for your beard as well as the hair on your head. It also includes an attachment to trim your nose and ear hair as well. The trimmer felt light in my hand and was easy to use. The clipper guard is adjustable with different length settings which makes it convenient to trim it up to the length that is good for you. The trimmer did a nice job cutting and did not pull on my whiskers at all. It does not contain the cut whiskers, so they basically flew all over the sink and counter as they were cut. Next, I tried the nose and ear attachment. I always wanted to have something to cut my nose and ear hairs, other then a pair of scissors, so Im glad this included in the kit. I wondered if it would pull on my nose and ear hairs, but it didnt pull at all. As a matter of fact, it almost tickles my nose, but would rather have that feeling than any pain. I was happy with the results and will be using this feature quite often. Over all, this is a decent trimmer for the price range. This Braun grooming kit works great and is very high quality, especially for all you get for the price. I exchanged a different Braun grooming kit that I had gotten my husband as a gift, that was horrible quality, for this one. I’m so happy I did. This has everything you need for a comfortable, smooth shave from head to toe. This is the worst trimmer/shaver I have ever had, including $12 generic ones. I have been using these things for about 15 years, do most of my own haircuts over that time, needed a new one and tried this out. Trimmed my beard with a negligible difference between a 2 and a 0. It was weak enough that I needed to make several passes even through already short hair trying to cut to a 3 length. The poor power then led to an error by me trying to make up for poor performance, so then I had to shave my head instead of looking like a whack-job, but the weak battery then died, so I plugged it in to use with electricity. No such luck – it works on battery use only and turns off when plugged in. I tried again after 5 minutes of charging to get about 5 seconds of power. Now I am sitting here writing this, waiting for both the battery to charge and for the soonest moment that I can return this mistake to Target. Even if they do not agree to refund me if they claim they can’t take it back used, I would rather leave it there for them to throw away then ever bring it back home.x

My Andis Envy Li rechargables are great. They are lightweight to manuver where needed. The attachment gaurds are easy clip on and off. It seems to me that Andis is the best brand on the market as well.JohnJohn

When I got these clippers I was not impressed by their cut by decided to give them some time to break in. 3 months later I'm so mad I did not return them. First of all, you are getting a model D8 trimer and model LCL clippers. They can both be bought individually and save dollars. Secondly, they do not cut very close. Ive used Andis T-edgers for decades now. My last one literally fell apart while using it. I was plastic and Im a very busy hairstylistprobably dropped it a few times in its life. This one feels better in my hand. Still light but sturdier. A better shape to hold onto. It cost more than Ive paid in the past but Im feeling it will last longer. Bevel is one of the best edgers I have used in my 25 years of being a professional barber. Until it wasn’t good anymore. Now to be fair I have only been using the black on black model pair of Bevels. I have had 2 pair so far. Both pair have broke down on me. I really believe it is a design flaw, because each time it broke, it did fell apart in the same position. I do not believe it is built to withstand long running use that a professional barber that cuts at least 30-40+ heads a week can do. The precision of the blade is incomparable, the quality of the equipment is horrible. The first pair I bought lasted 11 months. Luckily I was still under warranty and after going back and forth through email with several different representatives. I have the emails to prove it was at least 3 different reps I had to go through to get the issue of my warranty resolved. It took a little over a month to get through to Bevel that o bought me 1st pair online through their own website. Which is insane in itself, because you would think with technology the way it is…. Anyway, they send me another pair at the beginning of 2022. Well it is April 8, when I am writing this review, and the 2nd pair has broke down on me again. By far the best of the worst clipper I have ever purchased. With the price tag of $257.75, one would assume that there would be at least a 3 to 5 year use out of this product. This is a well thought out trimmer. While for me its use will be primarily for trimming my beard, sideburns, and mustache, it is a nice addition to my arsenal of hair cutting products. Please note that this trimmer does not come with attachment guards one might see in competitors’ products for shaping longer hair styles. For example, I use a one-inch attachment on my old trimmer to cut the hair on top of my head. Still, what this Bevel trimmer does, it does very well. The trimmer was designed to run on battery power alone, and a full charge of its lithium powered battery affords approximately 8 hours of use. As a comparison, one of my older trimmers offers just 2 hours when fully charged. And with the Bevel running 6k+ strokes per minute, it is darn powerful. Should you charge the trimmer and then leave on an extended trip, this unit can sustain its charge for up to 180 days. One unique feature of this trimmer is the ability to adjust to zero-gap simply by unsnapping the cutting head and spinning the scroll to the right (located on the underside). The more you spin to the right, the smaller the gap becomes. Bevel really did put a lot of thought into designing this trimmer. For example, if you’d prefer to hang the trimmer rather than laying it down after use, simply remove the battery (bottom of the unit) and fold out the hidden hook. Then, replace the battery. Easy as pie! The unit itself feels well balanced in my hand, allowing for a steady cut. The on/off switch is located at the bottom of the trimmer, so you won’t accidently turn the unit on or off by accidently pressing the power switch. Many trimmers have the power button/switch right in the middle of the unit where your hand sits. The cuts have been extremely consistent. With my older trimmers, I found myself often redoing an area due to inconsistent trimming. Not so with this trimmer. This unit arrived with a 60% charge, and to fully charge from this point is estimated to take around 2 hours. When it is time to recharge the trimmer, a White flashing led will appear indicating that you have less than 30 minutes before the trimmer shuts off. For me, this is a high-end trimmer. It feels great, is well balanced in my hand, and works as I would expect a high-end trimmer to work. Based on my use thus far, I am happy to give it a 5-star review.Zunderwood

This is top end expensive for a clipper. Bought for use at home and we are non-professional stylists lol! It feels nice, heavy and the metal casing gives it a vintage look. The clipper itself works great so far, got through my mop and my sons as well. Charges quickly and doesn’t loose power like my old clippers did. Would be nice to have instructions on how best to use it, get a proper fade etc, Instruction manual only has practical stuff like how to charge it, oil blades etc. Had to look it up on YouTube. There are only 3 clipper guards on it which is why it only gets 4 stars. It would be better to have more – getting more costs at least an extra £30, making it overall very expensive. It seems whals more expensive clippers don’t come with sometimes any clipper guards at all so make sure you read full description. Overall it is a great clipper and would highly recommend. I have only used this once but it worked well. I bought it as a beard trimmer as I am fed up with buying beard trimmers that take multiple passes to get to the length required. I bought this because I had seen a handful of people recommend it for this reason. I used it without any attachments at its shortest setting. The stubble was very short, less than 1mm I would say, almost clean shaven but clearly with some growth. The cable power means it is clearly very powerful and did not slow down when going through my beard at all. The cable could do with being longer only because I want to use it in my bathroom and I have to plug in outside the bathroom with an extension lead. The beard came off very easily, no real need for a second pass even (although I did for completelness). Very pleased, and less than a quarter of the time i would normally spend with my Philips beard trimmer which was around 40.The clipper comes with the normal grade attachments from grade 1 upwards. This produces a cut of 3mm. A 1/2 grade is available to buy seperately which provides a cut of of 1.5mm I think, which is what my old bear trimmer was set to. However, without the attachment, I can adjust the cutting length – my first attempt was at its shortest, next time I will do its longest which I think could be around 1mm which is perfect for stubble look.The clipper is heavy, (but feels solid and of good quality), it seems very capable for my needs, and because it is a cable version (rather than battery) I think will last some years. (All my other beard trimmers have died because batteries have failed in the end, rather than the clippers themselves).Very happy with the purchase so far and I would recommend for beard/stubble trimmingdresco.f

The blade arrived crooked. I tried to put it straight multiple time but when doing a fade the blade moves. I cut my client the first day Ive used it in the shop. I thought it would be a problem that could be solved until I cut another client but that one was a walk in. Ive been a barber more than 20 years and these are the truth hands down not to mention the gamma hitters. The fade is much cleaner than the whal magic clips, not to take away from any other brand but just have to be honest. The motor is very very strong and the only thing about them to me is you have to keep them oiled which you suppose to do anyway, but the feel is right the design is right and the results is right. Everything is good, saw some reviews that said you could get a used one that didn’t work… so I bought the insurance with it since it’s still like 70$ under Amazon. Got it and it felt like someone else had it but it was way too clean and everything was packed nicely. The blade is the basic metal taper blade with the groves so don’t expect the graphite blade. Btw I purchased the fx870s (silver) for exact purchase if that matters to you (it does for me). I had bought two of these clippers and they were great , at first ! My gold one has no problems whatsoever , but the black ones , 2 weeks after purchase , were cutting off in mid cut and wouldnt turn back on! I thought they were dead , but they were fully charged and still do it. This company now wont fix or replace them! This isn't my first Wahl purchase so I can say with confidence this is NOT one of their better trimers. I bought it because I was looking for a cordless option. It felt bulky and slippery in my hands. I cut my husband and sons hair. I'm not petit so if I say Its bulky its not cuz I have small hands. The whole thing is also smooth so its not ergonomic to hold and once you turn it on and it starts buzzing it gets even worse to hold on too. It was very uncomfortable even for a 10 min haircut. I got this to replace my old trimmer. I have been cutting my own hair for over ten years and the old trimmer was having problems. This one is much more powerful and does the cut in a fraction of the time and with no "pull". Being cordless makes it much easier to use as well. I am very pleased with this product. It cuts hair!!! With the mad dash for hair cutting equipment due to Corona virus, I saw that these trimmers can pull double duty and cut hair. I tend to have slightly courser hair but figured they had a 60 day return policy so what did I have to lose. I had 2.5 months of growth and usually get a cut every 3-5 weeks. I was pleasantly surprised that it cut my hair. I am no barber so I started with the #8 and worked my way down to a #4. I will say that the #4 felt shorter than 1/2". I usually get a cut with a #4 on the sides and a 2 finger scissor on top. The various guards worked pretty well. They did tend to get loaded up and needed to have the hair shaken from them a few times. For the price plus a 5% discount form using the T card, I figured I would pay them off with just two cuts. Only once did I notice a pull but that might have been because I was moving too quickly. once I slowed down, and watched a few videos, things worked out well. I liked that the unit has enough weight to give good control but not so heavy as to tire. With my overgrown hair, a barber would take up to an hour to cut. I did it in about 1.25 – 1.5 hours. I also trimmed my eyebrows and ear and nose hair. The guards are a little light for the plastic they are but they do the job. one or two came bent but a little pressure and they straightened out. In all it seems like a great unit.frank

Having owned many trimmers I was skeptical but very pleased with the Wahl 9818. The unit comes with a decent variety of attachments and various guard lengths and the battery life seems good thus far (1month on full charge even used for covid hair trimming). Having read the pamphlets while it received its 1st full charge helped as I then grouped the guard sizes I will most frequently use, in the past some of my favorite trimmers just had twist-grip adjustments and that was nice verses changing guards. However its inevitable at some point yur favorite beard trimmer gets knocked off the counter and the the length adjustment breaks so I guess having interchangeable parts that are readily available is a future plus. Quality is excellent and so far the battery life is also but I do wish that it could be used in a no charge state with cord (directions say do not use while plugged into transformer) it does further state that even a quick charge will result in minutes of use. Thing is we rarely worry about the charge state of our beard trimmer unless going on vacation. Lol Only time will tell what the life expectancy of the battery is because like many favorites of past the battery would die and the unit wouldnt function on the cord. Exceeded Expectations! Been Bald shaving for close to 25 years. I've used several different methods from the head blade to regular blades to conventional electric rotary shavers. The Balder Pro changed everything. It worked so well on my head that I tried it on my face. Wow, did it worked! I've found that I can shave my head and face using a "slick" type shaving cream in the shower in less than 3-5 minutes, saving so much time than leaning over the sink and making a mess. The Balder Pro does such a great job under my chin and neck area with absolutely no pulling or nicks. Another impressive feature is cleaning is so easy, since I rinse it under the shower while shaving, that when I removed the head to deep clean it, there was hardly any residue, shaving cream or hair. Although my scalp hair has receded over the years, my beard is still quite thick and this thing cuts right through it quickly leaving my face smooth and unirritated. Cannot recommend highly enough! I ordered beard trimmer after reviewing the website and reading how they take a returned item, have their "technicians" inspect and test all items to ensure the highest quality. I received the trimmer and I opened the package and upon examining the trimmer I found trimmed whiskers in the top portion of the trimmer as we'll as finding the blade filled with trimmed whiskers. I was extremely grossed out by that sight. I then realized that the tube of oil they had provided had leaked during shipment and all over. I then plugged the charger into the wall and it never light up the way it was described in the user manual. I contacted the company to exchange for a trimmer that was in the condition that they advertised and was told they are not set up to do exchanges but I could keep the dirty and nonfunctioning chgarger at a discount. I have purchased this and the PG6025 because I like the detail of the shave it can produce but the batteries on both products are horrible. I have since purchased other Remington shaving products (PG6135 and VPG6530) but don't like the arc accessory that come with them. The arc detail accessory with this product is much better. Due to that I keep coming back to this product which I can use for a few months and then have to buy a new one. I give it 3 stars only because when it works it's a great product.whindsjr

it is ok for the price i guess . it is convenient to be able to wash it clean with no problems from getting it wet . it will trim close with no nicks to the skin normally . my complaints on the trimmer are that is is VERY under powered ! when you turn it on is runs like the battery is only 1/4 charged even if it is fully charged . i took it apart just out of curiosity and i found the cause of the low power , the box says it uses 4 volts , the tinny little battery inside says it is 1 AAA rechargeable battery that uses 1.5 volts !!! if yu are looking for a cheap rechargeable , waterproof trimmer to use for a couple min. per week , it will work just fine for your needs .gunrunner3

Where to start. Firstly the design is beautiful and nice to hold and I have extra large hands.I tried it on all the settings from long length of cutting guides right down to the 0.5 I have just shaved the whole of my body with it only being charged once to see how long it would take to use up the battery life. This trimmer is an every day home-use. All the attachments are basically coated plastic to look like metal. They’re not. They look cheap and detract from the rest of the device. The width of blade is quite narrow for trimming a full head too. apart from the negatives, it works well and the main body of the device has a bit of heft to it which is what you want!edboy21

I have had three different Wahl hair clippers over the last 15 years, but thought I would try these Babyliss hair clippers because of the 'apparently' excellent reviews. I don't have particularly long or thick hair (at least not any more), but the clippers snag almost immediately regardless of the guard used. An awful product and not fit for purpose.Glacierlfc
