Best Curly Hair Blow Dryer (2023 Update)

I use this tool to dry my curly hair and it definitely makes my hair less frizzy and puffy than it usually is. The packaging itself is adorable, it comes in a chic box with a leather carrying pouch, the pouch itself even has pockets on the inside. I love how this blow dryer has many different functions, but particularly I like how the cold function actually lets out cold air and not that weird in-between hot/cold air. That function is key for naturally frizzy hair! This would make a fantastic gift for someone who is always traveling (and loves the color pink), seriously the color is so unique and beautiful! I can’t even begin to describe how much i love this blow dryer!!! I do a lot of traveling and decided to get this right before my next trip and i’m so happy to have had this gifted by T3 Micro. The folding handle is so convenient and it comes in a beautiful vegan leather bag that makes storage super easy. It takes up hardly any space in my luggage! I bought the diffuser to go along with it and it works beautifully, my curls looks so defined. I love the cool blast setting, the super cute satin blush color, and how it’s compact while still having tons of power. I’ve never had a blow dryer that cost more than 30 bucks and i’m SO happy to own this because there’s a noticeable difference!! Am I the only person to have paid for this? I purchased it from T3 because it was dual voltage and I was traveling to Europe and wouldn’t be able to use my Dyson (because they are not dual voltage). I used it once before traveling and hated it in less than 60 seconds. It has very little power and took forever to dry my long, fine hair that typically takes 10 mins with a Dyson and 15-20 with another salon-quality/high-end brand. It was very hot but had no fan power despite the flow concentrator so it’s mostly radiating a hot breeze. Normally when I dry my hair, it’s soft, silky, and shiny at the end; with this dryer it was dry, frizzy, and felt fried. This is like a $20 travel dryer you would buy at the drugstore and the price relative to the function and quality here is unjustifiable… I think I’ve used better dryers in cheap hotel rooms and felt genuinely shocked to see such a bad product from T3. I also found the brownish blush pink color drab / unattractive, and the folding head seemed pretty gimmicky because it didn’t do much of anything to reduce the dryer’s awkward footprint due to the long handle and stiff cord at the handle’s base making it even longer. I was so excited for this but it’s really bad, I almost never return purchases (1-3x per year if at all) but sent this back after one use.lilyap

After doing a bunch of research, I decided to order this hairdryer because I liked the attachments, and the way it automates the settings. It took some getting used to, and I had to adjust the way I dry my hair so I didn't burn my scalp, but after I made those adjustments, I'm loving the hairdryer. I bought the diffuser attachment separately because the set that included the diffuser was on backorder with no idea when it would come back in stock. I primarily use the hairdryer with the diffuser because I have curly hair, so I haven't tried the others yet. But, holy smokes, this thing really works! It dries my hair super fast, root to tip, and I haven't noticed any extra frizz as a result. As I said above, I love that the dryer sets the temperature and speed settings for you based on the attachment you're using, so you're not left wondering if you're using a setting that's too hot or too slow for the style you're trying to achieve. I've had it for several weeks and I'm not seeing any issues so far. I only wash my hair twice a week, so there's less wear and tear on the hairdryer than those who wash every day, so your mileage may vary. Overall, I'm very happy with this hairdryer.Drea

Great dryer! I upgraded from a Remington that was probably around $50. I have thick hair that goes to my mid back and I can dry from soaking wet to totally dry in about 10 minutes, before I spent around 20-25 minutes drying my hair. I blow dry a few times a week when I work late so I don’t end up sleeping on wet hair. Personally I find my hair is less frizzy and way more management after using this dryer. The Shark is about half the price of the Dyson, I feel this product is a better investment for me because my hair doesn’t require a lot of styling. If I blow dry it I can just wear it straight, it’s too heavy to hold any type of curls. Compared to other more traditional dryers it’s quieter and much lighter. The low heat setting is very mild and has not damaged my hair, but I do use heat protectant just in case. The biggest con for this product is that the styling tools are chunky. I like the brush but I have a hard time using it around my head. The brush is hard for me to get to lock in place for the IQ to work. The other attachment it comes with is easy to get on but it also chunky. I think if you have thinner hair they might be more practical. I got this dryer with the concentrator and styling brush attachments about a week ago. I have shoulder length fine straight hair which I normally blow dry and then run a straightener through to smooth it out. It dries quickly, is fairly quiet and not very heavy so works really well. The styling brush attachment is essentially useless if your hair is not very long in my opinion – very clunky and difficult to use – a round brush and concentrator do a better job although I was hoping it would help better straighten the back of my hair when I blowdry as it can turn out bumpy with a hairdryer alone. The concentrator is really good – it has both a fine and wide adjustment which works well and is easy to use and to take on/off. Overall, this is a great dryer that dries in a fraction of the time and produces really nice results. I've had people ask if I had just been to the salon after just blowdrying my hair without using a straightener or other hair products after. I've paid more for salon quality dryers in the past that have died in a year so I'm hoping this lasts. So far, I'm a big fan!VC72

I bought this hair dryer about two years ago and when I first got it, I really enjoyed it but my hair was MUCH shorter at the time. Now that my hair is longer and I find myself grabbing the hair dryer almost every time I wash my hair to tame my remaining chemo curls waves, I’m not so in love with it. My biggest complaint is that even with the nozzle attached, it still blows my sectioned hair everywhere. For me it wasn’t a big deal with shorter hair but with longer tresses I want a concentrated air flow. I only use the turbo mode when drying and it seems to speed up the time to dry my hair. I’ve seen reviews on other sites that after having the dryer for a while it starts to smell a little burnt – I have to agree I’m starting to smell the same thing. I would’ve expected more from this dryer based on the price. Luckily I didn’t pay full price, I snagged it during one of Ulta’s sales. If I can dig out my old I may give that a go, but I have a feeling I may be looking at new dryers next time Ulta has a big sale.kim.w

so im a hair stylist and needed a new blowdryer I was looking online and saw that this came with a diffuser and concentrator which was good because I needed both. I actually was going to pass on it because I was looking for 2000 watt. I ended up going in person and it was so light I was sold immediately. I open the box and no diffuser! I understand plenty of dryers don't include them but why is there multiple pictures of it with a diffuser if it's sold separately?? very misleading. it also heats up EXTREMELY hot which is good for what I need it for but you could possibly burn yourself or damage your hair with it if you don't know what you're doing imo it's so hot. idk I was super annoyed that I'd have to buy a separate diffuser so I was going to return it but it seems like a decent dryer so I may try it out and If I like it order their diffuser.a

To be honest I never thought there was anything factual about dryers with the ion features. It seemed absurd to me. So here I am having just moved into a new house and it has hard water, much harder than I used to have, and my hair was showing the effects of it. My hair was frizzy and I hadn't been able to figure out the products that I needed to correct it and I was wearing my hair up in a bun every single day because it looked and felt awful. Perfect timing that I received the Instyler Turbo Max to review and I have to say that it is pretty good at first and only got better from there. I really like that I can have a lower temperature heat (not a cool shot which I don't think does anything for my hair) while still having the air power and intensity of a high setting. I also like that the unit is so lightweight and comfortable in my hand. After using it for a few weeks I can honestly say that my hair is benefiting from this dryer. My hair is so much smoother and healthier, the frizz and split ends have definitely diminished. My hair also has much more bounce and having super fine hair this is a big big improvement, I really am so pleasantly surprised. I didn't expect these ion particles to do much of anything and I was completely wrong. One drawback is that there is no diffuser and I usually use one for my curly-ish hair, I haven't found one that fits yet but will keep looking because I will keep using this Turbo Max for sure. I dried my hair with it and a brush to straighten it and it worked well and worked fast. I am happy with how quickly it dries my hair, meaning I am not having to have the heat on my hair for as long as I used to. My sisters used it while at my house and they liked the feel and versatility of settings on it too. But I told them that they needed to use it some more times to really see the major benefit of this hair dryer because it has made a huge difference in the health of my hair. I've been using hair dryers for EVER! I don't really become impressed with them honestly. Some are bulky and some are heavy. But after my car accident, my neck and arms have been affected and now, I can't hold a blow dryer that weighs a ton for 15 minutes anymore (and it hurts, a lot). Ok. Finally I can make a proper review I started giving 10 for the support team (I wasn't happy with the the machine I received) they exchanged super fast, no problem. To me, is hard to say every product or every machine will work for everyone… I am Brazilian and my hair is an unidentified thing. Crazy!! I wash, dry and style 3 times a week. I coloring (cover the grays) and straight 2 times per year. I never buy anything without search every little detail. 3 years ago I saw Dyson advertised and was something I really considered. I went to Ulta Beauty (they just use Dyson) to try on. I hated! But I hate everything the stylists did with my hair. I just postponed. This year I was ready to go. After I use a couple times this is what a thing… Pros: Power button – isn't between your hand (never power off during the process. More volume. For sure! Almost no Hair on the floor or in the hairbrush (definitely last breaking). The hairbrush they sent me for free (game change) I will have one those for ever! Easy to hold e move around. No worries about your hair being sucked by the filter. After I style (with my regular curly iron) I still have more volume than normal. Cons: The machine is light but the electrical cord… oh my! Really heavy. I won't travel with. I didn't have that shine and silky feeling. I didn't gain any time. I always take 20 minutes to do the job with any kind of machine. Presentation – awful! It's a very expensive machine to arrived this away. I have machine didn't cost half the price and come with a beautiful box, wrap with a silk bag for protection and travel. It's like buying a luxury item and arrived at supermarket plastic bag. Overall, isn't perfect. But I will keep and recommend this machine. I know I will have a good support, and I know my hair will be more healthy and last breaking.Blankenship

I asked for this for Christmas and got the blue and bronze version with the storage box. Firstly the products look amazing you can feel the great quality. Secondly I absolutely love how the pieces just magnetise into the dryer – I didn’t actually know how they attach before I got mine and I love just how this happens. The edges stay cool so you can remove easily as well which is a great design feature as no one wants burnt fingers! But the big big plus for me which makes this really worth the money (over the fancy colour and the magnetic attachments) is how much this reduces drying time. I have long super thick 2b/2c hair (curly) and I would usually air dry which would take about 3 hours to completely dry. So I would very much be going into work ‘wet hair don’t care’ but this is taking me only 20 mins to diffuse my entire head of hair which is a complete game changer. Meaning I have lovely formed bouncy curls first thing rather than elongated wet look waves where the weight of the water is dragging the curl down. I have tried the diffuser attachments on my other regular hair dryers by the way but have always ended up a huge frizz ball which I don’t get with the Dyson Also when I want to straighten it look me 40 mins rather than 2 hours using the comb attachment – my hair was practically straight in 20 mins with the dryer then I just went over with the Ghds I love this product I would 100% recommend if you have hair like mineTinK

I've been using the Dyson hair dryer (Nickel/Copper version) for a month. Initially wasn't sure cost worth it, because even at a very reduced price it was higher price than any other hot hair tool I'd ever purchased. Then I watched some videos on using it and the attachments. I experimented with the various speed & heat settings, as well as all the attachments to find they mattered greatly. I'm now convinced I like it a lot & definitely happy to have. My hair type: Lots of fine wavy/curly, short/mid-length. My hair styles & attachments used: Curly/wavy: Use only the Dyson diffuser attachment. Blow out smooth: All Dyson attachments but the diffuser. Section and start with Wide-tooth comb. A little use of the gentle air attachment with a paddle brush & Styling Concentrator with round brush. Finish with the Flyaway attachment, which really really does work/make a difference in smoothing. Usually use the lowest speed setting and heat 1 or 2. While I recommend this product, note that I would never recommend paying the full price. I have the discretionary income & could have paid full, but I waited for a discount and saved lots of rewards dollars over time before opting to making my purchase.What I want 2day

Let me begin by saying I would have given this half a star or less, but since I had to give it at least one star, it is a reflection of how I feel about the color. Pro: I love the orange color and that’s it. Cons: it’s VERY loud; it does not get hot, as in hot shouldn’t be printed on the dryer because it doesn’t even get warm enough to heat up my round brush; it takes FOR-E-VER to actually dry hair; it claim to not cause frizzy hair, which is completely accurate because it causes limp, flat hair. I start this negative Review understanding the fact that everybody’s hair is different. My hair is a loose wave that I dry with a diffuser every day, I typically use high heat and high speed. This blow dryer only seems to have heat when it is on high, on low it is warm only. However the high option with the diffuser is still excessive amount of wind. Therefore curls get blown out and look straight but low is too low, again with little heat. I suppose this blow dryer would be great for someone that’s blowing their hair out straight however for curls and use with the diffuser I would not recommend this blow dryer.BBLongIsland

Absolutely worth the money. I was apprehensive about buying this hair dryer brush but after researching multiple brands online, I was told this was one of the more beginner friendly hair dryer brushes on the market. Its a little awkward to handle I will admit, since it is comically large, but its light enough to not cause pain in my wrists. Drying my mid-back length hair with this brush took no more than 30 mins. I usually have to deal with getting hair rollers done, sitting in a dryer for 45 minutes, spending 15 minutes having a blower used to straighten my edges, and then another 15 to 20 minutes with a straightening iron. I'll take the 30 minutes of learning how to use a new styling tool and getting great results over sitting in a salon chair for an hour and a half, thank you very muchKibbles

I have mid back length thick natural hair with textures 4a, 4b and 4c coming from my scalp. Using this blow dryer is the first time I have ever been able to blow dry my own hair straight in 20 years of attempts. It was easy to use and does take time, but I feel a sense of accomplishment. I used a heat protectant and mostly low heat, detangled it and sectioned it into 8 sections. Mind you, it is a blow dryer- I would still need to flat iron it to get a bone straight style, but this certainly exceeded my expectations and has been a joy to use. I am so grateful for the product and the price is a great bargain for this product. I will finally not be charged extra when the Braiders say "come blow dried".Sj

When I first got this blow dryer, I could not stop raving about it. I love how convenient it is. It can get your hair pretty straight, if you let it. With that being said you can easily damage your hair. I love that this has a cool air setting, for people like me who easily damaged their hair. It's easy to use, but it also can be slippery on the handle if you're using product on your hair. I have type 4C hair, and the brush bristles help me to get it as straight as possible. First off, I love the look of this hair dryer. It is not very big, and the metallic light blue and the silver accents make it a much more aesthetically pleasing blow dryer than your typical clunky bright colored dryer. I like that it is lightweight as it makes it easy for me to hold and maneuver around my head/hair as I am blow drying. I also like that it is not super loud compared to my previous hair dryer, however this hair dryer does not blow air quite as strongly as my previous dryer. Perhaps it is a trade off to consider whether you'd prefer a quieter and smaller hair dryer like this one, or a louder but more powerful hair dryer. Regardless, this dryer still gets the job done and dries my hair at a sufficient speed. I also appreciate the large cold air button, which makes it very easy to continually press for cold air when styling my hair (other hair dryers have a small and stiff cold air button which makes it hard for me to press for longer periods of time). I do feel my hair feels slightly less damaged with this dryer compared to my previous dryer, especially since it is easier for me to press the cold air button to use cool instead of hot air. The ion technology helps, but I don't feel it is much different from my previous hair dryer as that had ionic technology as well. Overall, I have enjoyed using this blowdryer and will continue to use it, though I wish it had a bit more torque/power to it. I definitely needed a new dryer and honestly am really like this Conair SmoothWrap powered by InfinitiPro by Conair. First it came all nicely fit in the box and had plastic wrapped on the different part to keep it from scratching up and breaking. It was easy to figure out even without the directions. The attachments easily pop on and off, but not so easy that they fall off during use. It has 2 different settings for the dryer speed, and 3 different heat settings. The heat settings are cool, warm and hot for different hair types and even states which settings you should use in the manual. The concentrator attachment is for smooth and sleek styles and helps direct the airflow to create that look. The diffuser is for making a wavy look. I had never actually used a diffuser before so I read the directions and watched a couple videos and it was pretty simple to use. Another good thing about this is you can remove the back and clean out the filter which will help your dryer last longer and get you better results. But the thing I really like is that this dryer is just beautiful looking too. I love the color and the design and shape. It is easy and comfortable to hold and not too heavy. It also is not too loud. It just works great. I definitely recommend trying. I did get to try this for free but the opinions here are based on my own experiences.justmissash

I have super fine dry hair that is definitely heat damaged, so it’s important for me in selecting haircare products, that they protect my hair. I’d never heard of Dual Ion Therapy, but was exited to learn the science behind this hairdryer—it uses negative and positive ions together to help my restore my hair’s natural balance. It also helps leave my hair smooth and my hair felt like it had more volume and it definitely felt softer. The dryer is aesthetically nice, easy to use and I did notice a difference in drying time. And common sense tells me that the less time I have to spend drying my hair, the better it is for my hair not being exposed to the heat. I can never find a hairdryer that doesn’t leave my hair frizzy. I spent Christmas at my in-laws house and used their hairdryer while there. I simply could not believe how well this worked. No frizziness at all and it looked like I just had my hair blown out at the salon. It dries your hair in minutes leaving it smooth and shiny. I've had good luck with 2 BaByliss Pro Carrera dryers in the past, and when my GHD dryer broke last week, I decided to go with another BaByliss from my local Ulta, rather than go without a dryer for a few days while awaiting delivery. I chose the Ceramix Xtreme just because it was cheaper than the Carrera. I should've spent the extra! I prefer the narrow attachment nozzle for any dryer I buy, and while this does have that, it spins around constantly, like it doesn't lock into place. I'm forever having to put my brush down and reposition it, dry another section, repeat. To the point where I really can't style my hair while drying it. The high setting has massive power, blowing my hair all around, and the medium doesn't quite have enough power for my needs. The control switches are positioned up and down and are relatively flat and smooth, making it difficult to switch heat settings and power setting during use. The toggle style switches like what's on the Carrera and GHD are so much more user-friendly! I'll be returning this and going with the Carrera again.Mary

This dryer is supposed to be 2000 watts but the output was really disappointing. It didn't have any more power than a cheap $20 dryer. I have really curly hair and there wasn't enough heat to get my hair reasonably straight. The buttons are flat and they slide rather than flip so your hands have to be dry in order to get a good grip to operate them. It's super inconvenient to have to constantly dry your hands while working with wet hair. Also, it's quite heavy and if you need to hold it above your head your arm muscles will definitely get a work out.Michelle

I had read good reviews on this product. It was in the mid expensive range so I expected a lot. First. the attachment would not stay attached unless really shoved on. Then, if I wanted to change the direction of air flow, it would not turn easily. I had to turn off the hairdryer since it was too hot to touch, to turn it. If I didn't forcefully shove it back on, it fell off. The toggle switches are on the inside of the the handle and often were inadvertently switched or turned off altogether. Bought this to replace my EVA which is starting to whine. Hairdresser has the uber expensive Babyliss with the turbo and loves it. This one is lightweight-shockingly so. Dries quickly even on low speed. No complaints EXCEPT with the attachment nozzle attached, it is too long for me to manipulate a good short style look. Other notes, you cannot use this dryer with a converter-so don't plan to travel overseas with it.Tweenmanager

I love everything about this blow dryer. I bought a hot fools but returned it because it had no power. This blow dryer is powerful, buttons are easy to manage and intuitive, many different speed/heat settings, dries my hair fast and a cold shot button. It's also light weight. I took a chance and purchased this not knowing how I would like it as there are no reviews. What kind of sold me on this was the different images of ppl with different hair types on the actual box, the beautiful vibrant color, and the sales associate of course who saw that I was standing by the hair dryers for an hour just confused on which one to select. I used it this morning and I love how smooth and voluminous my hair felt. I haven't used the hand attachment yet, but when I'll do I'll update my review. But so far so good. I love the matte material because it makes it easy to grip when you're working with oils, etc. (black hair). I noticed it doesn't get insanely hot like my old Hot Tools dryer, but it's my understanding that this is actually better for the long term health of your hair. It dries more quickly than my Hot Tools, but at the same time it doesn't scorch or over-dry my hair. That's a win in my book, and is probably what contributes to the higher price point. It has an ionic on or off button that you can press while drying. I think this is the what contributed to the volume bc I turned it on. If you turn it off, it smooths frizz. I'd say it leaves a low-medium luster, and that's fine by me. I don't like shiny hair.Adanna

I spent an hour in store trying to decide which blow dryer I wanted. I've always used a conair or Remington. After 2 years, my infinitipro dryer started to spark while using it so I decided it was time to toss it out and get a new one. I have naturally curly hair that I use a universal diffuser on and it works great. I also like to blow out my hair pretty often. when I blow it out I like to touch it up after sleeping on it by using a round brush and my hot blow dryer to get out the kinks and tame my edges. this blow dryer doesn't create enough heat for that even on high setting. the idea that it's cool enough for a great style with the diffuser is great but for the price, I should be able to put it on high heat when needed and style as I would like. I will definitely be returning it and maybe just purchasing the separate diffuser attachment for a cheaper dryer.Em

Small, lightweight, travel friendly, makes hair look great…check, check, check, and check. Is it pricey? Yes. Is it worth it? Yes. Compared to another that’s even more pricey and starts with a D I would choose this one. It’s smaller and light weight. The compact size sold me and the way my hair looks after a blow out is what helped me decide to keep it. I bought this based on all the great reviews and for me, it doesn't live up to the hype at all. Not even a little bit. I've been using it for about 6 months now. It took me all this time to figure out why my hair is so horribly dry and frizzy. I kept thinking our water quality must be getting worse, my hair more damaged. Nope. Went back to the powerful dryer I had before this one, which unfortunately the company doesn't make anymore, presto-changeo; soft manageable hair again that still looks soft and manageable hours later. I truly believe this Harry Josh dryer lacks the power to really get through the thickness of my hair to actually get it dry. Waste of money but I can at least give it to my daughter who has fine, straight hair and might actually get hers dry with this thing. I'm giving it 2 stars because it's cute to look at.Anonymous

I. Love. This. Dryer. It helps that celeb stylists like it too, but I didn’t notice that until after I bought it. Yes, it’s cute and mint green but that’s not why I bought it. This dryer is powerful, but lightweight. I have a wrist problem but this doesn’t irritate me— and I do a LOT of blowouts. I use the most narrow attachment that comes with it— it is the right size for the sleekness I want with my hair type. The cool shot on this dryer is actually cold, which I enjoy and use quite a bit. I am NOT a hair person so any tool that comes along meant to make dealing with my hair an easier task I am more than willing to give it a try. This is similar to another popular brand on the market but it has less attachments. This is definitely not a bad thing unless you need the other attachments to achieve the look you are hoping for. The instructions for this one is pretty straightforward and simple, even for someone like me. The smoothing brush attachment does an okay job smoothing my hair texture but I immediately knew I would have to add one more tool to this setup to accommodate my natural hair texture and get the smoothness I need to avoid any additional heat in my hair after completing the process until my next hair wash. So I did have to use a flat iron to truly smooth my hair out. Also, because of the texture of my hair (which many women of color may be in the same boat) the idea of leaving hair not completely dry to use the curling attachment isn’t realistic as my hair would not hold up 5 minutes after walking out of the door if I tried that and my hair would become a huge poofy mess. Using a small amount of setting spray on each section before using the curling attachment is what works for me. It’s a bit of a learning curve if you haven’t used the similar version but ultimately this works well enough. It won’t give you the same curls you could achieve with an actual curling iron but it will give you nice, soft waves to curls (smaller sections of hair to achieve more curl, bigger section to achieve soft waves). For some hair types this will be an excellent addition to their routine. For myself, it’s good if you have the additional time and if using the safer heat option for your hair to try and maintain hair health with less damage from heat. I bought this because I just had shoulder surgery and cannot raise my right arm above my head. This allowed me to do a blow out and style my hair like I normally would. I still had to go over with a straightener. I’m not sure if that is due to the product or because I was doing it with one hand. I have short hair that is somewhere between my ears and chin. Which btw, had a strong chemical scent when turned on and the motor was SO loud. Revlon which was cheaper also did it better. Simple and effective motor wasn’t unbearably loud…However I can’t help but feel like it’s cheap.. the thin aluminum or metal wrapped around the brush head combined with heat makes me feel like I’m damaging my hair.. there’s got to be a better one out there with more thoughtful innovative materials for hair. I love this styling hair dryer! I’ve been using one version or another of it for over 15 years. I think this is my 3rd or 4th one. If I remember correctly, I’ve never had the motor blow out, it’s always been the locking mechanism that broke or that I dropped the curling brush and the plastic broke where it would engage with the locking mechanism. It’s fantastic for my medium length, thick, naturally wavy hair. I usually wait until my hair is partially dry before using and then style with the larger curling brush to minimize my slight, natural frizz and maximize my natural waves. For me, it’s worth every penny, even if I do end up replacing it every so often!Kat

This exceeded all expectations. For reference- I have thin, fine hair with a natural wavy texture that is prone to frizz. One of the biggest pros of the Reserve 3-in-1 is the size and weight. It is SO light. I can use it comfortably with one hand. The handle size is small and easy to grip. I found changing the attachments to be easy and straightforward. I think this has just the right amount of settings both temperature (4) and speed wise (3). I found the second temperature and second speed to be my most used. My favorite attachment is the oval brush. The size is perfect. The bristles create a nice amount of tension so I can lift and pull. My hair didn’t get tangled like it does with the revlon. I *finally* could get that signature blow-out “lift and pull” motion! This attachment created so much volume at my roots and gave my hair nice bounce. Fast and efficient too. I did go in with my flat-iron in some areas to manage my texture, but overall this is the closest my hair has looked to a blowout done at home. I like the design of the dryer attachment. It creates a larger surface area of equally dispersed air. I did have to tousle my hair a bit to get at the roots if I wasn’t sectioning it, but if I turned the fan to the highest setting, it did blow my fine hair around more like a traditional dryer. My hair didn’t come out as frizzy using this. I found it to take about the same amount of time as my usual dryer but could use a lower heat setting which is a huge pro. The paddle brush did a nice job creating a more sleek style. My hair has quite a bit of damage so I went in with my flat-iron is some spots, but I did not have to section and do my entire head like I usually do with a brush and dryer. I think I will appreciate this attachment more as my hair gets in better condition. I am always looking for new ways to streamline my haircare routine. This one product is able to dry and style your hair at the same time. I put it to the test on freshly washed hair. First, I applied drybar's prep rally detangling heat protectant then I went in with the blow dry attachment. I dried my hair with the blow dry attachment until it was about 75% dry, then I went in with the paddle brush attachment to create a smooth straight look. I like how this device has 3 different heat settings and a cool setting to lock in the style. I used the second hottest heat setting for majority of my hair, then did the cold shot to set the style in. I have super frizzy hair so the cold shot after heat styling is a MUST for keeping my frizz under control. For the bangs, I used the curling wand brush on the highest heat setting to give my bangs some volume and body. With all of the customizations offered, this tool includes everything I need to create countless hairstyles- and it saves me space when I travel! It comes with 3 attachments that I can use on their own or one after the other depending on the style I'm going for: 1) a blow dryer that helps me concentrate the heat in specific areas to speed up the drying process, 2) a paddle brush that helps me detangle and straighten my hair, and 3) an oval brush that helps me add volume to my hair to achieve a blowout look. There are also 3 fan speeds and 4 temperature options. I switch between the fan and temperature settings as I style, but I always end with the separate cool shot button to set my style. Sorry, but I am disappointed. The lowest setting has the worst pitch that my dog ran away from it. It was also the setting I used 90% of my drying time and it was unbearable for my ears as well. Also, there isn’t a cold feature that is permanent- meaning if you want cold air you have to continually press down on the cold button…. For curly hair girls that enjoy a no heat diffuse this product is NOT for you. 45 mins of holding down that cold air button is asking for carpal tunnel later in life. How does a $200 hair dryer not have this feature, but my $40 Revlon does? Asking for a friend Shark. Please do better because this was a huge waste of both our time. The size of this dryer is nice, feels compact without the typical poor performance that comes with a compact dryer. It’s not the loudest I’ve used and not the quietest out there…it’s in between, it’s a hair dryer after all. It doesn’t get as hot as other dryers I have used, but it doesn’t seem that the extra heat is needed. This is actually way better for your hair health. In all honestly this doesn’t dry my hair that much quicker When starting from towel dried hair…BUT I will say that my hair has never looked better. It feels way smoother, looks way shinier, styles much easier and the style holds. My hair is just above my mid back, coarse, naturally (not in nice way) wavy, and very thick. After blow drying, I used to spend a decent amount of time flat ironing each section and by the end of the day it would need a touch up. I can now pretty much skip the touch ups, even after sleeping. I have medium-thick, shoulder-length frizzy hair with a kinky curl, and I enjoy this hairdryer and the diffuser it comes with. I have had several hairdryers in my time, and this by far is the best one I have ever used. I usually straighten my hair after blow-drying it, and this has helped me cut down the amount of time it takes to dry it and afterward when I straighten it. I love how lightweight and quiet it is. The device has three settings for heat and three settings for airflow. I like how the buttons are on the back, whereas my hand will turn the settings on some hairdryers. I like how this one also has a cold shot button which is excellent towards the end of styling my hair, and it helps smooth the hair, which helps with frizz, and it's nice because then I don't need to use as much oil. This hair dryer is also a compact size, as with other hair dryers. It's very bulky. I travel a lot and hate the hotel dryers as who knows when they were last cleaned and do not work very well. The other great thing is how long and thick the cord is. The cord is around 4 feet which helps when the outlet is not in a convenient spot. The cable also comes with a Velcro strap to help hang the dryer and keep the long cord from twisting. The attachments that it came with were the concentrator and the diffuser. The concentrator can be effortlessly adjusted for pre-styling & precision styling (all you do is slide this bar-like thing). I first used pre-styling to get my hair quickly started all over, followed by the precision to finish styling. This is where the cold shot comes into play and helps seal the hair cuticle. The other attachment is a diffuser. The diffuser has deeper pockets which I think help for styling larger sections at a time, which is my jam. I try to get things done as quickly as possible. The other great attachment also has a sliding bar for the prongs to either extend or retract. I use the setting for the prongs to be extended. My friend has shorter hair like the retracted setting because her hair is finer and more baby soft. She also said this one worked better than most because her hair was so short her head felt like it was getting burned. The instructions for how to use this hair dryer and all of its attachments are super easy to understand and it includes pictures and steps which are super helpful. Basically, to operate the hair dryer you plug it in and turn it on. It automatically chooses settings for you or you can adjust them accordingly. Then if you want to choose any of the attachments you just place them on the front of the hair dryer and turn it on; again, all of the settings are already picked and it’s ready to go. You can easily change any of the setting to what works well for you, but I find the IQ settings perfect for me. Adjusting the settings is done by pushing buttons which is so nice when your hands are slick from using product. All of the attachments are easily added or removed from the hair dryer very easily as well. The 2-in-1 concentrator allows you to swivel the concentrator head wherever you need it while also allowing you to change the air flow. To change the air flow, you just slide the lever and it does all the work for you. You can easily dry your hair with the nozzle retracted and then style your hair with the nozzle extended, the whole process is seamless. I honestly can't rave enough about Shark HyperAir Hair Dryer! This company has thought thoroughly about every type of hair when designing and manufacturing this dryer. It has different settings on it for heat and/or air, as well as different attachments to help obtain the desired style you are going for. It's easy to use, basically ready to use. Just open the box, take the dryer out and attach the end you want to work with. The cord is the perfect length. Not to long, not to short. Inside the box you'll find a handbook that shows you which end is for which look. It's handy to keep going back to so note: put aside, DON'T TOSS IN THE TRASH! I say that because I've went back to the details and pictures in the brochure/hand book several times. Now onto the noise of the hair dryer… Noise? Yeah, the noise you won't hear as the Shark HyperAir is very quiet. In fact it's the quietest dryer I've ever used. I love this hair dryer a lot. The overall look is amazing, the color and the shape. I just love it. My favorite thing about it are all the attachments. It came with 3 attachments : IQ 2 in 1 concentrator ( dry and shape), the IQ styling brush( dry straighten and shine) and the IQ curl defining diffuser (dry curls from root to tips). The dryer has 3 buttons on the back and one on the front. The top left button is regulating IQ air flow levels. It has 3 different levels: low, medium and high. The top right button is regulating the temperature and has 3 levels as well: low, medium and high. After inserting the attachment the IQ styler will automatically adjust to the right settings (heat and air flow) you can also adjust them manually if you want to. On the front of the dryer there is a button "cool shot" when pressed the temperature lights are off and the air that is coming out is cool. The IQ curl defining diffuser is my favorite attachment as it can dry your curls from the root without damaging them. It is shaped like a bowl and has adjustable prongs. If you have short hair, set the prongs up short and set them up long for long hair. I also like the IQ styling brush which can do a 360 degree rotation. It is very helpful as it can help you dry the back of your hair. It also has smoothing and detangling bristles. This is a well made dryer that comes with a diffuser, cone and blow out tool which it should for the price. It it a beautiful grey speckled color and it is light in weight. However, the digital buttons are placed on the side of the handle in such a place that when you are holding the dryer your fingers touch the buttons and push them causing them to increase/decrease the temp/air. Thus, you can never have a steady heat nor air setting because you have to keep moving your hand to adjust back to your original setting. Very annoying and why I had to return it. It did dry well and with great products like Loma for my curly, shoulder length hair, my curls came out fabulous using the diffuser. But I had to reset it over and over again because my hand kept hitting the controls. Poor design.dandksmommy

I bought this hair dryer because Paul Mitchell was the brand recommended by my new beautician. I hadn't been using a hair dryer for years. I was shown how to blow dry my hair to straighten it and now I am learning to do it myself. The hair dryer is comfortable to hold, not heavy or clunky. It has nice temperature and speed controls which I find handy to do what I need to. My hair is looking better as I learn how to use it. I didn't expect this to be my favorite hair dryer ever, but I was looking for something cost efficient that I could leave at my boyfriends home. I purchased this 3 months ago and use it 2/week on average. It's effectively an average product, but the film has all but peeled off the handle just from being held. Cosmetically, i don't care much. But what drives me mad is it peels off onto my palm and is VERY difficult to remove from the skin.. it also flakes onto the vanity which is even harder to remove.. the photos speak for themselves. As a working mom with two young boys, I don't have a ton on extra time in the morning for my hair care routine. I was very pleased with the appearance of the Conair InfinitiPro Compact dryer. While it's not as small as some other compact dryers on the market, it's easy to travel with if you have a small travel bag or a suitcase. It's relatively light and the diffuser and concentrator are relatively easy to store as well. I love the color of the dryer too, it's very elegant and attractive and would make a nice gift as well. Overall, I'm very happy with the speeds and the power of the dryer. I personally use the highest setting for a quick dry but the middle and lower setting is just as effective when I use it for styling. The dryer is comfortable to hold and to use and isn't heavy at all. It has a little hanging hook for easy storage but since it doesn't take up much space, it fits compactly into a cabinet or even a large vanity drawer. The only thing that I would change about the dryer is the heat level. It's not quite as hot as I would like and since I have medium back-length hair, it does take a little longer to dry than what I'm used to. This is only a small inconvenience though and I'm very happy with the hairdryer. I've only used it to straighten and volumize so far and it's done the job it advertises and more. I received this in the mail and immediately loved the packaging and color. The dryer has its general 3 heat settings: cool, warm and hot with 2 speeds: low and high, and a cool shot. It was easy to use and made my naturally straight hair very shiny and frizz-free, compared to what it looks like when I let it air dry. Not sure how this will impact those who have curls in their hair, but it does come with a diffuser that has easy attachments to help enhance the curl. It dried my hair slightly faster than my old hair dryer (I do have fine hair) and the product has a nice motor, so drying time may vary with other hair types. I liked that the blow dryer was fairly light weight, a fun color and not difficult to hold as I dried my hair. Just like the pictures posted by others show, the rose gold flakes off. I bought this in October 2021, and it only took about 3 months for it to start flaking. It is so annoying to dry my hair now (even more annoying than it regularly is lol). Rose gold flakes in my hair, in my brush, all over my hands…I feel like it's the heat of my hand causing the paint to destabilize and flake off. A hairdryer should be able to be held, right? I gave it three stars because outside of the annoying paint flakes, it works very well. It's helped me cut down on frizz while still drying my hair relatively fast.Jules S
