This curl cream would be great for you if you’re not looking to have too much hold in your hair. It’s thick, but it doesn’t create a very strong cast for me. As you can see, my hair is already frizzing at the roots and it’s not completely dry yet. There’s no cast to scrunch out. The pump is also really hard to use and only dispenses like a dime size of product with each pump, which means I need to pump twice just to get enough for one section of hair. It is very hydrating, so I can’t knock it down too much, but it is probably my least favorite ouidad product, which is saying a lot because I LOVE ouidad. I have spent months trying curl products. I have tried CurlSmith, CurlMix, Bumble & Bumble, CurlyWorld, and Monat. All of these had their strengths and weaknesses, but for my curl type it didn’t vibe. First week using Ouidad—I was so hooked. It’s clean ingredients, water soluble, and has product for every curl type. My Curls are bouncy, light, and so moisturized. Just for reference, this was purchased for and used on biracial, relatively thick, spiral curly hair. This is a very lightweight, non greasy product with relatively good slip. It ends there. If this was the only product you wanted to use. No gel, no mouse, no oils, no creams, no leave in, no frizz control, I mean zero other products, then this might work for you. It immediately interacts with other products by leaving white clumps all over your hair. It doesn't matter if you use less/more of it or if you use less/more of the other, it is a disaster. I've tried this with SEVERAL other products from different lines and it always ends with the same result. It doesn't absorb later and disappear, instead the clumps turn into white flakes. I have very fine, high porosity (very absorbent), blonde curly hair. I don't have the best of luck with styling creams, some work and some weigh my hair down, some feel very crispy, some make my hair look instantly greasy. This stuff works! I wash and condition (sun bum regular or Pacifica pineapple curls) and then put a little of this styling cream into my wet but not sopping wet hair. Then I sleep on it and in the morning my hair is good to go. Nice natural looking and feeling curls that stay in. As someone who has stick straight hair, I love this product. A disclaimer, my hair is not capable of getting that cute scrunched look. If I want curls, heat is my only option. I shower, add the styling cream (smells amazing), air dry overnight, and then curl in the morning. I have fine, thin 3A curls, about 50% grey. I liked Pura D'or's Curl Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner so much, I decided to give the curl cream a try. The consistency is very thick, almost a paste. The smell is herbal, not the coconut or flowery smell curl creams tend to have. (Probably because it's marketed as a unisex product.) The smell doesn't linger once it dries. I was a little hesitant to use such a thick product on fine, thin hair, but it works. I used a pea-sized amount on wet shoulder length hair and my hair isn't weighed down at all. In fact, I have more volume than normal. My curls are bouncy, shiny and soft. I used gel over the cream because my hair frizzes up if you look at it too hard, so I can't speak to the curl cream's ability to prevent frizz. It definitely moisturizes.F. Bav

I revisited this product after using it for years when I was younger. I should not have. The formula does not seem to be the same. This stuff just sits on top of my hair and never is fully absorbed. Much like a few other hair lotions that I've tried, I have found that these products are highly ineffective for long, biracial hair. I am half South Asian and half East African, and my hair is part my hips and 3b curls. This product smells quite bad, and the scent does not dissipate as the day goes on. Additionally, I've noticed that this formula absolutely does not moisturize my hair. Again, I acknowledge that I'm probably not the target audience for a product like this, as it really seems best for 4a+ textures and/or shorter styles. But for those of you whose hair can be defined similarly to mine, save your money and look elsewhere for hydrating products.

I haven't used this product in a long time. I do remember it very clearly. I bought this at one of the discounted or liquidated stores. If I remember right it was either t.j. Maxx or Burlington. It is very Vivid in my imagination that I was trying to do everything to get rid of it. I know it stayed in my downstairs bathroom with a little bit left in the bottle. Anyone who dyes their hair copper knows that copper pigmented hair dye will not stay onto the hair particle for long. A brand new copper color hair do will last about a week or two before it fades into a honey brown color, and eventually a yellow-brown color. With this in mind, there are products that will help to prolong the dye coloration and slow down the fade process, and I turn to Redken shampoo every time to get the job done whenever I need to prolong my copper dye. I use this along with the Redken conditioner Color Extend and shampoo three x a week, conditioner once a week, and my copper pigmented color will last about 2 months before it fades onto a honey brown and eventually to a yellowish brown by the 4 months mark. The consistency is great I get great results often when I wash and go or use a diffuser. This product is so affordable. This conditioner is gold in a jar! I have thick, coarse, 4a/4b hair and this is the only conditioner that keeps my hair soft and manageable even after it's rinsed out and dried. I believe it's best when used under a hair steamer or heating cap, but everyone's hair is different. The elasticity that it gives my hair is unreal. Full of moisturizing ingredients, especially oils, this cream is fairly thick so I recommend using the tiniest amount combined with A LOT of water. It will give you super soft feeling hair. I don’t know if it really “activated” my curls, I’ve used a lot of curl creams with similar results. I like the ingredient line up though and will continue to use and purchase. One thing to note, this is a protein-free formula so balance your protein/moisture accordingly. If I had one suggestion for improvement, it would be to change the packaging to a squeeze tube instead of this hard plastic bottle that makes it difficult to squeeze product out of. This is my go-to leave-in curl cream. It doesn't weigh down my medium-thickness 2b strands and it doesn't leave them in flyaway disarray either. It's easy to use TOO much, so build up slowly or emulsify in your hands with a little water before applying to wet or damp tresses. I get my best results from this cream when I apply it to my hair (avoiding the scalp) fresh from washing and plop it for a while. It leaves the sliiightest cast, which is easily scrunched out. The formula sometimes causes small breakouts on my neck, which is the reason why I award it four stars instead of five. If you're new to the wavy/curly world, consider giving this cream a try!Renzie
I have curly hair so i used to apply mielle's leave in but the scent was too strong to handle for me, so i got this cantu moisturizing cream. I was hesitated whether to try anything from cantu on my hair because u heard alot of negative feedback about it but everbody has different hair so maybe it didn't work for some people yet it did go well for others, so i wanted to give it a shot. The size of the bottle would last 5 – 6 months which is great, has a light pleasant coconut scent. I used it after shower, the texture is thick so i recommend to use it when your hair is wet and apply 2 to 3 pumps because it spreads well through hair. My hair is shoulder length, fine, highlighted and prone to frizz and flyaways. This is great at detangling, adding shine and reducing frizz. My hair looks much healthier when I use it. I generally apply after shampooing and conditioning, and I only have to apply the tiniest amount (about half a small pea’s worth) to get good results, which means that a tube lasts a long, long time, and makes it easier to justify the cost. It does weigh hair down a bit, but I’m very happy with the effect it gives. It’s lightly scented, but the fragrance isn’t overly strong and doesn’t interfere with perfumes or other fragrance. Also, I often find I get breakouts when I use other hair serums where my hair touches my face, but I’ve had no problems at all with this one. I wish this wasn’t so good! Lol. It’s an expensive product but it is incredible. I struggle finding a product like this that doesn’t make my hair look super greasy and gross or weigh it down. This gives me the shine I want (I don’t have to use a lot) without the gross issues my hair looks so healthy even though I just used a blow dryer and straightened it . My hair looks great for DAYS. It’s worth the money, but this line is so expensive. It doesn’t have a strong scent which can be a pro or con for some. My only problem with it is that it’s not a heat protectant. I have bleached thin hair, pretty damaged, so I was looking for something to use after washing my hair to make it easier to detangle and make it smoother and softer overall. Also I was intrigued by claims of super shine. I can not say that it didn't deliver, but I wasn't super in love, I wasn't gravitating towards it. I didn't notice intense shine or gloss, after it dries on your hand, for example, I can see tiniest shimmer parts (they are barely visible, but they are present), which I am also not a big fan of. Also the smell is a bit strong for my liking, and not that much frizz control, thus 4/5 from me. I must say that I usually don't blow dry my hair, but leave it air dry. This product should be discontinued by the smell alone. The product itself seems to he ok for hair. The one and only time I used it, it did make my hair feel a lot more moisturized. But the smell…TERRIBLE!! It smelled so bad but despite the smell, I still tried it in hopes that it would go away. Well this made me sick. Trigggered migraines that lasted days. Worst of all, several washes later, the horrible smell would not go away. Based on description, reduces frizz and flyaways which I’m not sure why any product would want to reduce frizz or flyaways. I say that because that’s the point have natural hair to be free. And, unless you’re trying to control frizz and flyaways in a protective style then yes I can see why. I am a wash and go for a year and don’t mind the frizz and flyaways. The product smells really good thought!!! Even after hair dry, the product can be smelled days after without using any of the other MO products to keep hair moisturized. Based on the 8 fl oz jar🏺I got 2 uses wash/go uses and a little left for a 3rd. I have very dense hair which (when I say dense I mean that you have find my scalp lol) means this size jar is not really enough for my hair. I did not get a tingling feeling using this product and may be that didn’t leave on the required 15-30 minutes. I still would buy this product because my hair shine and for a conditioner to give shine that’s good. Anywho that’s my opinion on MO Babassu Oil & Mint Deep Conditioner. Love this mask! Ok, so it costs slightly more than I would like to spend on a tub of hair mask but it is worth it. Have repurchased already! The texture is more watery than the average mask but this just melts into the hair. I have naturally straight thick (previously coloured) hair and this mask leaves it silky, shiny and soft. There is a slight tingling sensation on the scalp but the directions say it is to be expected and means it’s working – always good to stimulate the scalp for hair growth I guess. There is a scent but I don’t mind it. Highly recommend.

I just use a very small amount like directions advised, worked it into my wet hair, scrunched it with my hands and let air dry. My hair is sooo soft, no frizz and my curls are defined. I found this product yearssss ago when I first started the Curly Girl Method. It was very runny, white and much lighter. I ended up repurchasing it and when I opened it, it is incredibly yellow and thick and the ingredient list is completely different. This is one of the worst shampoos I have used in my entire life. Not exaggerating. The little smell it has is awful and the consistency is EXTREMELY watery. This is the complete opposite of "cream" shampoo. The worst part is that it's super drying on my hair. As soon as I start to work it in, my hair turns into straw and actually starts to squeak. Ended up having to rewash my hair with normal conditioner so i could comb through it again. I am LIVID with this formulation! This smells SO GOOD. The smell alone makes me want to taste it, it smells like coconut cream. It’s also thick and locks in moisture while also adding definition. I have a very sensitive scalp; anything heavily fragranced causes me to break out. When other companies change the scent of their products or production, I have serious reactions and have to switch immediately. I also have latina curly hair. After looking at many different products, I decided to give this one a try because fragrance is very low on the list of ingredients. I was not disappointed. This cream is thick and, when rubbed in your palm to warm it up, will spread nicely on the hair. A little goes a long way! I recommend using on wet hair. I do not use anything before this product and I seal it with a styling gel (for FL weather). It gives a decent second day hair style. I also noticed my ponytail hair looks better on day one and two; my hair is not so frizzy at the ends. I did not give 5 stars for one SMALL simple reason, it is difficult to run your fingers through your hair after you put it on. With curly hair of course this is not my intent, I scrunch my hair after, but unintentionally I have done it a few times and the ends feel thick, gritty, and dead if you try. After shampooing my hair I towel dry my long color treated hair very gently with a water absorbing towel and put a few pumps of the 14 in 1 Miracle Worker into my hands, rub them together and apply to my hair from midway down to the ends. I can then let it air dry while I sleep and wake up to a gentle wave in my hair. If my hair looks slightly frizzy during the week, i will pull into a ponytail, wet my hands with water and slightly dampen my hanging ponytail hair before putting a few pumps of 14 in 1 Miracle Worker into my hands, rubbing together and disperse onto my long haired ponytail. It makes my hair look soft with a light wavy bend and never feels sticky when dry. It works even better than higher priced conditioning products that I have purchased in the past.Georgia P.
I bought this because I recently had to have brain surgery due to a brain bleed, and my scar was itching like crazy. This sooths my scalp and stops the itch as soon as I spray it on, wet or dry hair. It also helps with the frizz, enhances my waves. I like that it prevents breakage and strengthens. It's moisturizing. It helps detangle. It's super affordable. The only thing I don't like about it, is the spray nozzle, a lot of times it comes out in clumps, and it makes a mess on the bottle. I would definitively recommend this.christina.h

I am about 1 year into my CGM journey, and at this point – I rarely find products that work as well as my hair's natural oils. Even though I try to avoid shampoo, when I do use it (before hot tools or after about 3-4 weeks of conditioner rinses) I need to add a bit of moisture to make up for what I've rid my curls of. I tried this product after a wash day. It is one of the only products I've tried recently that actually feels natural in my hair. It helps to define curls and rid frizz. It dries with a light cast, but just enough for my hair to clump not enough to leave a waxy/dry texture like other competing products. I rarely feel comfortable using only one product. It's either a natural look sans products, or a mix of products (leave-in, oil, cream, maybe gel and spray etc., Depending on the style). This product is a mix of both worlds; leaves my hair natural looking without being too fluffy, yet offers enough moisture and oil for clumping without being heavy. Love the shine it adds. Ouai Curl Crème saves time for me since it's a cream + oil + hydrator + styling product. Great for traveling with. Easy to refresh dry hair with or style wet hair with. The scent is so luxuriously floral yet sweet, the packaging looks elegantly simple, and the bit about the "ex" on the packaging gave me a good chuckle. Ouai Curl Crème has my curls screaming, "oui, oui!" I have natural roots, ends relaxed and dyed (damaged), mix of curl textures (2b-3c), long length. Great on my husband's beard, 2a hair, and my son's 2b-3a hair. My hair is high density, low porosity.Amber
This product is clearly a creme that is not shy to define, and give your hair a subtle yet noticeable shine. IMMEDIATELY after drenching my hair in water, and applying the product, I barely had to touch my hair, and the definition was VERY apparent. Y'all, when I say, I was shook… I have never in all of my 21 years of life had a product instantly define my hair upon application. I barely had to finger comb. It for sure provides a nice element of moisture as well, and I find that the more I've used it these past couple of weeks, the softer my hair is getting. I'm not 100% sure if it's this product, or some of the other products that I've been using in my hair for the time being, but I do know that this is clearly the moisture and defining agent in the squad of hair products I've been using. This product has chia & linseed oil, babassu oil, and coconut oil in it, which are clearly carrying the product and running so that it doesn't even have to jog on it's own. Babassu oil is known as an oil that promotes high moisture retention, which seals the moisture into your hair shaft (ideal for high porosity hair types), and you know lack of moisture retaining products in your haircare routine is one of the #1 causes for breakage. Chia seeds are rich in fatty acids which work to not only penetrate your hair shaft (great for low porosity hair types), but seal in the moisture as well. Linseed oil is the same as flaxseed oil, which is high in vitamin E, and not only treats hair loss, but promotes growth. For my dry scalp peeps, flaxseed oil also can be used to prevent dandruff, and can provide relief. If you have damaged hair, or chemically processed hair, this is very ideal, since it has great moisture retaining properties, and it seals damaged cuticles. My only con is that I have been noticing slight flaking on certain occasions, but that happens with whenever a bad combo of products is mixed. I highly recommend!Jaylynn THEE Lively Waterfall
I have pretty curly hair but it's very fine and I was worried this cream would be too heavy but that is not the case at all! I use this on my hair while it's wet by section with a denman brush and my curls look incredible. if you diffuse, it creates a great mask for the curls that you can brush out after. my curls seriously last 3 days through workouts, sleep (I plop/pineapple my hair without a bonnet and they stay!) DC humidity, all of it. I use it with the OUAI medium shampoo and conditoner, and it's smells great! not perfumy or overwhelming. cannot recommend this more! in my pictures the one in the green shirt is day 3 curls, the other one is day one.larklewis
