I bought this board many years ago. I still have it in my closet. This board all in all is a nice board. It has the durability of a high quality bristle board. It does have the half sized double and triple areas to hone your skills. The only real down side to this board is the spider. With the half sized targets the spider gets in the way a bit, and creates bounces. That's why I upgraded to the DMI Bandit Pro Trainer.Spearchucker

No where does it say that this needs to be assembled. I might feel better about it if maybe it came with directions. The Spurs logo is just a sticker sliced in half and was on the front board crooked. The inside sticker is also torn. Also was supposed to have two dry erase markers, but only had one. I'm excited to review the Barrington Prescott Collection Premium Bristle Dartboard Cabinet Set because it is such great quality. First of all I was a little surprised by how large and heavy the box was when it arrived. It looks and functions like a professional dartboard that are the higher quality ones you would find at a bar or gaming place vs just a cheap more basic version that you would have in a typical home. It came almost totally put together other than the hardware to hang the dartboard in the center of it. I would recommend hanging in in a wall stud so that is stays on the wall with no worries about it falling down as it is a little heavy and personally I don't trust wall anchors. The sharp darts stuck to it no problem with each throw and it felt great using it. It is a color that looks like it goes with most any decor. I like that it has a little scoreboard on the sides to keep track of score & a little pen for marking it. I highly recommend this as a gift, especially perhaps for a friend's bar or bachelor pad.Shannon
Great item! For the price it a really well built dart bard cabinet. Pros: very solid build quality, staple free dart board, looks exactly as pictured. Cons: the built in lights sit too far back and don't really illuminate the entire board, the wall anchors that come with to hang it are cheap and terrible. It definitely looks sweet on the wall and I do like the quality of the dartboard itself. I do have a few problems though. 1. The white marker that came with it was completely dried out and wouldn't write at all. 2. The hardware that came with it was super cheaply made. I ended up having to use my own screws. 3. Not surprisingly, the darts that come with it are cheap and not great. 4. The back material and the top and bottom planks look like strong material in the picture, but they are cheap wood. I've used it for about a week and if a dart hits one of the planks or the back, it leaves a hole pretty easily (See pics). But at least it is still protecting my wall. But overall i'm still happy with it. Its just for fun at home for me so the issues I listed aren't dealbreakers for me.Frank

It seems to be working well for me. I use it for my 25w portable (vehicle), dual band HAM radio. I have a plug in charger I use that I had lying around. It charges it up to 14.2v max, then when it gets below 13vdc I plug it back in. It has plenty of power for my needs. Dont know how low it should go, I should probably look that up. First off, for the price, This dartboard is a pretty good one for a begginer, or a occasional dart player. I have only had mine for a couple of weeks, but I throw alot of darts at it everyday and besides the occasional bounce outs, which are caused by the dart hitting the scoring spider, its holds darts very well. I throw 21, 22 and 23gram darts at it and they stick firmly into the board. The number ring is stainless steel so you may want to paint it white, or do like I did and just use one off a different board otherwise you will get alot of glare off of it . As far as the scoring wires, you just half to deal with the glare. Anyhow, in my opinion this board is a decent good starter board. I like mine.donsparrow74

Replaced two in a bar that get lots of use, first set lasted two years before nothing would stick to the bull's eye anymore. Included some black plastic (mounting?) fittings but no instructions on how to use, so I just used the old fashioned single screw in the middle and steel V-bracket and threw away all the other paraphernalia. Spinning numbers is a nice feature so it will wear evenly (except the center) Seems good quality but in truth, I have never seen the one that is half the price, I would consider spending less and replacing more often. This would probably last 5+ years in normal home use (longer if you never hit the bulls eye;-) Free shipping got me to order quickly by promising next day delivery, but it actual arrived on the third day, not a big deal unless you had something planned.Cyril

High quality board, the first sisal bristle board that I be bought that closes back like the ones seen in tournaments on TV. Always wanted a quality board with no staples, just didn't want to pay the premium price. This board is worth more than the $40 I paid for it. I am very pleased with this purchase. I was concerned at first, due to the reviews on another site stating that this varnish stinks to high heaven. Another review said it was cheap. But Best Of… websites ranked it very high, so I took a chance and not regretted it. First, it came VERY WELL PACKED in triple layered cardboard with honeycomb for the outer packaging. The outer package took a hit, but the interior was not damaged. Second, it did NOT stink. No varnish smell other than a slight new furniture smell. My wife is extremely sensitive to smells and she was fine with it. The finish looks excellent and not overdone. Third, though it is substantially heavy, it is not difficult install. I would not recommend trying to hang this with picture frame hooks. Use bolts as that are given, or better quality molly bolts. Forth, Dart board is high quality. Nothing bounces off the board. If you hit the back of the cabinet, the darts will bounce off. Darts were very good, but I'm a novice and do not expect much. Finally, the only negative was that 1 of the nuts used to mount the dart board was un-threaded and there were no spares. Being a person who never throws out anything that it hardware, I quickly found a similar nut and was in business. I know manufacturers are always cutting costs, but honestly one spare of each nut, bolt or screw is not going to slice into your margins that much. So far I am very impressed with this dartboard and cabinet, it's both beautiful and functional. FYI when it is shipped it comes in the actual manufacturer's box so it's will be labeled on the outside as to what it is so keep that in mind if this is going to be a gift, plus the box is very large and heavy, my delivery driver was kind enough to help me get it in the house. When I opened the package I quickly realized that there would be quite a bit of assembly, the cabinet itself is already put together (thank goodness) but you have to attach the dart board to the cabinet, assemble the darts and attach all the hardware to the board and then to the wall. The dart board itself is quite heavy, then add in the weight of the cabinet and you need to make sure you are placing it some where that can handle all that weight. Once it is all set up it's awesome, very sturdy, everything works good and the quality is great, I love the fact that this is a cabinet and I can close everything up when it is not being used, it looks good and keeps everything organized and in good conditioon. I definitely would recommend this dartboard and cabinet if you are looking for something a bit more classy than just a basic board, I think you would be happy with it and I think given the quality it should be something that will last for many years to come.EdwardsGirl77
The Barrington Premium Bristle Dartboard and Cabinet set is a great product that I would recommend to anyone wanting a mounted cabinet dartboard set up for their home recreation room. The bristled self-healing dartboard is of high quality and is sure to provide several hundred hours of dart games before wearing out. The cabinet itself is well finished and the dark wood stain is very eye appealing. The cabinet has magnets on the door and the inside top frame of the cabinet to secure the doors when closed and were easy to install. The bottom corners of the cabinet have a triangular block of wood pre-installed with three pre-drilled holes for the six darts provided with the set. The inside of each door has a Cricket scoring board with the erasable felt pen to track play scores. The knobs on each of the doors match the wood colors and were very easy to install. As is customary with all dart cabinets, the mounting of the Cabinet to the wall is perhaps the most difficult part of completing the assembly of the cabinet. However, the difficulty of the mounting process is greatly reduced by following the instructions and using the provided wall mounted paper template for placement of the cabinet on the wall. This is the second cabinet dart board set I have owned and installed and found it to be easier to mount due to the simple instructions and the hardware provided with the cabinet. With so many types and styles of electronic dartboards to choose from, I finally decided on the Arachnid Inter-Active 6000 as a replacement. I've had the board for about a month and in that time must have played nearly 400 games. My girlfriend and I play about 6 games a piece each day and with friends over the weekend. The following is what I've concluded about the Arachnid 6000 dartboard: 1. Invest in quality darts with the thin tips. The tips I was using with my previous board were thicker resulting in lots of bounce outs when used with this board. After switching to thin tips, bounce outs were practically eliminated. 2. The voice is still loud even on low. I used a small strip of clear tape over the slot area where the sound is emitted. That muffled the sound to a comfortable listening level. 3. If during a player's turn the darts are tossed rapidly, the score will register for each dart, but the AI voice might not sound for the second dart. No big deal. 4. To me the board is a durable plastic. Feels solid. I like the regulation size. 5. Over all I'm very pleased with this board. All functions work as designed and my girlfriend and I look forward to lots of play with this board.SawyerGuy
Good quality board. Poorly engineered software – example: you cannot hit next player until the sometimes lengthy heckler calls are finished. Included darts are garbage and fins separated and aluminum shaft bent after one bad throw from my beginner son. Mounting this to the wall was laborious and required homemade shims so that the sides would not rattle against the wall. A couple of included stick on foam pads would have solved that. The A.C. adapter plug location on bottom right going out sideways is awkward and the cord looks ugly against the wall. A bottom center plug location would have been a better look. Instructions for games were not detailed enough for beginner. A better rule book or online link would have been nice. I bought this because it was well rated and I thought a $200 board would surely be better than the $30 version I had before. I can tell the difference in quality and the display is easy to see from the throw line so overall I am satisfied but I did want to offer my criticisms. If they sold a board that resolved these annoyances I would have paid more for it.seniorfroggy

Ive used this dartboard for 2 days. When you remove the darts from the board an unusual amount of paint comes off the board. Already the treble 20 has about 30% of the colour missing. Im so disappointed with the quay that Ive contacted Winmau direct to establish if the dart board is a fake/cheap copy. I cant believe Winmau would put their name to such an inferior product.gooseton

This is a great game board. Came as described even the extra dart tips. The instructions for the different types of games was decent. Overall it's worth the price. There is a disclaimer about not being for kids but the entire family loves it even the kids. There's a false scoring issue when using the electronic feature , when the dart hits the board and bounces off it will still give you that score.wes

This board surpases all my prior cheaper bristle boards. The wire between the sections is much thinner so the bounce off is far less. I didn't realize how much so till i got this. Unicorn is always synonymous w quality! I got mine slightly used but it looks like new. I am already using my unicorn tungsten darts on it the difference is remarkable! It does have the half sized double and triple areas to hone your skills. The only real down side to this board is the spider.
